girllllll!!!! i saw the hunger games yesterday too and let me tell you, seeing tom with a blonde buzzcut did things to me I didn’t know I could feel. Usually I’m not one for the buzzcuts in general but HIM? lord have mercy. He should stay with that haircut for the rest of his life, seriously.

and i read so many critique reviews and they did not give this movie justice. 65% on rotten tomatoes?? NAHHHH WHAT. they were leaving comments like “part three was boring, too much singing for a hunger games movie, didn’t understand who the main character was.” HUHHH THIS IS A PREQUEL! 😐 GUYS

i feel like most people expected that it was more of a romance film but it actually isn’t! the story utilises a romance subplot to point out how snow doesn’t actually love lucy and how he wants power of her to control her. especially in the book i think it www more detailed in how bad snow really is lmao.

i loved how different this movie was from the rest of the hunger games films. there was singing, it was more colourful and more bright? i was really expecting lots of action before i saw it ngl but i am not disappointed in this approach i think it really hit the depth of the concept of the story.

i think they did so well in both the book and film by not victimising snow, i really thought they were gonna try to humanise him and justify his actions but naww! anyway this is definitely my favourite hunger games movie and i will watch it again in the cinema to get every detail!! i really hope this revives the dystopian genre again i’m gonna get back into so many dystopian movies! 💆‍♀️

I'll say for as much grief as I've seen with this season, it's actually the first season where I really thought MC was in danger. Cuz u know, it's mc obvi she's not going to be BUT she should be, she should feel in danger as everyone else sometimes and it DID make me react.

I was like oh shit Mc booted off real? 👀 (I don't think that storyline could've been executed in an interesting way cuz u'd miss lots of bonding time with the ROs)

And like in the latest episode, when it came to choosing a couple , in the end I chose Arlo and Peter just because if that decision came out they'd be the people it would matter least to me. Cuz everyone's secrets (especially MC's) are out all the fucking time and I was like. What a perfect way to create drama than to reveal who you voted for. See, in s2 (or other seasons, they're kinda a blur ) I was secure enough that nobody would betray MC that way or that it wouldn't happen, but the fact I did think it could happen this season is...exciting in a way.

MC isn't immune! And that's interesting but I do wish she wasn't fucking getting gang pilled on every 2 seconds like christ 😵‍💫

Like yes maybe MC's situation has felt precarious in other seasons (never felt that way to me but yk) at least she had FRIENDS. Like can we get s5 MC some fucking friends I'm BEGGING 🤚😭 Dana is well (gesture vaguely at whatever the fuck she got going on) and my opinion of Kat changes a lot. Fluctuates like her opinion of MC ♡ I like Kat, I think she could've made for an awesome best friend to MC. She tells it how it is, and isn't afraid to make herself pass first, like I don't need a friend for MC who's always groveling at her feet. The confidence is nice! And it would've been nice to see Kat genuinely care for MC, and it could've even been a 'slow-burn' friendship. Cuz she clearly was set up as the rival character at the start, but yk when Dana starts flirting with Suresh or sumn she comes see u and you can talk to her. While Dana isn't exactly honest to MC and telling her what she wants to hear (in advices b4 casa amor 💀) Kat could've been this girl who's stick to her guns. Yes you may not have liked what she said but maybe you needed to hear it yk. They could've done that with Arlo too, like I was ready to like her and then she gives me shit for a man that I hadn't flirted much with 🤚😭 Like girl c'mon (it must be worse when you haven't expressed any interest in Suresh at all )

Also another thing while I'm thinking about it, is that you can flirt with Arlo, she shows interest for like a second before shifting to Dana. And with a bi MC it's kinda. Funny I suppose to see Dana get the girls (Arlo&Gabi) at least you can express interest in Gabi 💀

Another point is; everyone always saying people wants MC....uhm. Where? They may want MC but sure as shit ain't showing it 👨‍🦲 You never feel like you're passing first this season, which ig in a narrative where MC is a normal contender is fine but gameplay wise? Sucks. Like someone who's just genuinely into mc is not that hard and some might have found that with Alfie and if you stick with him he switches for Meera cuz of ur baggage but is still into you? Like boy 💆‍♀️. MC shouldn't feel unwanted here 😭 Or even Finn (which depends if he's honest ig - I think he is and for argument sake let's suppose he is), he's telling MC he's into but never has shown that interest proper throughout the time with him. Moments where he pulls us aside it's always for Kat or Arlo stuff and it's like ok? No cheeky banters, nothing?

Suresh is playing his little games and Eddie never appealed to me so, I didn't give him much attention but I don’t think yall had much content either.

Nicolas/Johnny is well. It is what it is. They have their cute moment but it's hard to say that they choose MC cuz they genuinely looe her or cuz of the baggage. Of course, it doesn't bother them cuz they need to exploit it.

6. how long have you been working on your story for?

i've been working on britechester since march 2020 and i met andi in april 2020!! we got close SO FAST and that's also when she started giving her input into britechester so she was already influencing the direction of the story a lot!! (cue scene to when i would ask andi for story help while she was just minding her own business, eating hot cheetos)

10. is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end?

arc 2 & arc 3 initially were fully planned out but we recently did a HUGE rehaul so there have been many changes and things aren't set in stone yet. for certain scenes, we find ourselves enjoying writing more when we make slightly impulsive decisions (but we'll keep most of the plot points planned.) there is a definitive end for gen 1 but *spoiler alert* there will be a gen 2 which we don't have an end for just yet!

13. from basic planning to a finished post, how long does that take you?

if both of us aren't busy, planning to a complete post would take at minimum 4 days! (that is if the post is an average length one, which is around 16 screenshots!)

16. what about the process do you enjoy?

we answered this one in this ask, but another aspect of writing story that we enjoy is writing and giving the characters a voice! andi said it's like critical thinking but healthier & less stressful 💆‍♀️

25. what inspirations have you drawn on for your story?

andi is an english lit major so she draws most of her inspo from the books & poems she has analyzed in class plus the other things she has read outside of class! i'm an avid reader so i find myself drawing inspo from the books i have read too! we also watch a lot of films together (and rewatch again and again) which has definitely played a big part in our ideas and inspo! also!! we draw a lot of inspiration from our real life experiences. a lot of the scenes we showed and have planned are all based on things we've seen irl happening to others and sometimes ourselves!

I have mixed feelings on mikasa parasite theory. on one hand, i want mikasa to survive and live happily ever after with levi but at the same time i hate how romanticized mikasa's eren worship is and how japanese em shippers see her as this perfect yamato nadeshiko for eren, so mikasa being a parasite eren kills would taint their bond and any argument that eren is mikasa's sunshine protector

I feel like Isayama had set his story up for a lot of different endings but still ended up ending the manga in the worst way possible.

Because I don’t understand what string bond did they have that’s worth this kind of romanticisation and not to mention all he plot holes he left with historia?

The thing that saddens me the most is that ymir should’ve been free in paths when eren talked to her, eren was desperate to save Ymir and she should’ve been reborn as a child getting a second chance in life. “To you, 2000 years in the future” I don’t believe ymir has been waiting for 2000 years just for mikasa to “accept„ her feelings for eren and finally kill him? Because that did absolutely nothing for her and for Ymir. “True love “ should’ve never been a thing connecting mikasa and Ymir to her abuser and mikasa to a guy who hasn’t reciprocated to her in any romantic way until the very end when he had a 180° turn around. Ymir story just makes me sad and the latest episode had heavy implications of her and erehisu, ymir staring at a couple kissing where the man literally had a man bun and the lady blonde hair, the beginning of the episode showing the apple drawing with the devil and then the episode ended (?) with historia being shown then a tree then erens titan form in its most monster like form to date. It all doesn’t make any sense when you think about 138/139. It feels like a whole joke.

I wish there was a way mikasa lived where she got over eren, mikasa isn’t free and no one will convince me she is to this date. Just because eren died doesn’t mean she let him go. Yea she killed him but what does it tell you when she is shown 3 times after his death when she is shown by his grave and his grave alone? Levi was her voice of consciousness but no matter how many times I try to think of 139 in a good light, it’s the simple fact that they didn’t meet.

So now I do think the best conclusion for mikasas character would be her death. Unless isayama tries to make a completely alternative ending that no one sees coming aot is doomed and so is mikasas character. But you know what? I had a really good feeling that it was gonna be Levi to hold her in her last moments before she passed but now I am not sure anymore 🤦‍♀️ why not just let eren come out of nowhere and cry right? Tragic Ending all over again for them. I will be just happy with a little bit of more interaction between the ackermans and if possible, some closure to their relationship. Also I forgot to add that I think that both mikasa being ymirs saviour & the parasite is so random to give her more importance towards eren. We could’ve had it all if mikasas character was more associated with Levi because we were already heading towards that direction but now it’s just all ruined??! -Princess #1 (insert world is mine reference) I think her name was smth along the lines of Trudy Lasagna and she was homeless. In the story I think she was crowned homeless Queen at the end. She has a sister whom I'm gonna present next. She has a purple patchwork dress and a burgerking crown, I forgot what her whole personality was, I think it was the stereotypical Disney Princess one??

-Princess #2, i think her name was Pisa Margreta (yes it's a Play on Pizza Margarita) and she was theeeee older(?) sister of Trudy. In the story I think she tried to poison Trudy, but was caught and I'm not sure if she just got exiled or actually sentenced to death but oh well. So like, the thing about her is, she was inspired by Cinderella, e x c e p t, she has a pumpkin head and spaghetti hair, her limbs are also made out of one wooden stick per limb, like she's the worst scarecrow ever. Actually, maybe she was cursed to look like that but idek anymore.

So the thought process for their names were "Ayo what if we gave them the worst possible names possible? Like, what's the ugliest old lady names we can give these princesses?" And then we slapped a pasta theme onto their names too lmao and the rest was history
