there are multiple posts about there being made a deal with .. illumination ... to make a ....zelda movie..... over on twitter and i tweeted about me not being happy about it and hoping its not a thing (given how successful the mario one was ..... well, its gained alot more probabillity) and that yes i am 100% sure it will be bad and it WILL impact how i feel about the franchise bc i do care about it and dont want it to be bad-

it blew up over night and people got extremely upset about my opinion that i posted on my account so much so they either started insulting me over it, calling the zelda fandom toxic and insane (bc apparently i am the CEO of zelda fandom on twitter and am also toxic and insane) or start 20+ reply threads arguing with people while not untagging me on any of them

idk why it keeps happening that my random opinion posts blow up over there but maybe i finally reached a following size where i am in immediate danger of my harmless personal opinions to get passed around like i have some sort of authority over reality and i need to be rectified for it, but man its getting exhausting

Ajsggdksksg people on Tumblr don't know how to use cw tags like unreality and reblog bait and such I think

I can't speak so much on the use of unreality as I am not someone who uses that one (I've just heard other people complain about it) but people tag the strangest things with reblog bait sometimes??

Y'all do know reblog bait refers to guilt trips and stuff right? Things like "reblog this or you're a bad person" "if you don't reblog this I'm blocking you" maybe even "reblog to save a life" it does not refer to "reblog and say what color prev is in that tags <3"

That's like. A reblog game if you need a tag for it. Or if we really have to use reblog bait for anything that mentions or alludes to reblogging, can we at least start tagging the actual reblog bait with guilt trip or something?

Tbh I kind of hate those "NOT the same person. ARE the same person" Kingdom Hearts memes, not cause there's no humor to them but because most of the explanations for these things aren't actually that difficult, it's just possession or clones or spiritual connections most of the time, which are pretty common in fantasy stories (some of them like the Nobodies are kind of a can of worms but also not hard to understand in context and ANY fantasy story with multiple installments is going to have stuff like that), and yet people who aren't familiar with the series use these images all the time to support the running idea that Kingdom Hearts is like. Impossible to follow and makes no sense. Which I, of course, don't like because at its core it's just people calling a thing I like stupid. And I WILL take it too seriously because I have the kind of autism that makes you deranged about Kingdom Hearts

Ship ask game: Ranchers? (Jimmy/Tango)

this is quite an interesting one, I had to think about this! I was quite late to the life series scene and binged third, last and double life in a few weeks. and got into all the big ships (ren/martyn, etho/bdubs/cleo, and yes… even scarian. the rarepair blog was a scarian enjoyer. and ranchers is included here too)

I remember really enjoying ranchers, I think it has a lot of appeal of being two characters nobody even thought about interacting before, who just click and end up being one of the most functional pairs in double life. also their reuniting scene in the empires crossover was adorable

so, while I did enjoy them, they just don’t click with me the way other ships do for me for a number of small reasons. 1) I don’t watch jimmy, so not too familiar with his character or as attached as I might be to someone I’ve watched for years. 2) I prefer other tango ships (tango/zed and tango/any big decked out player). 3) this is very much a personal taste thing but I dislike a lot of the “hybrid instinct” fics because often the way they write instincts is just… not how instincts work and a lot of ranchers fics seem to revolve around hybrid instincts for some reason? (I think this is just an avian character thing? I hardly see any hybrid instinct stuff for xb ren etc I usually only see it for grian and jimmy). also I’m not too keen on the blaze tango headcanon since it doesn’t make too much sense to me, and I see that constantly in ranchers fics and art. no hate to the people that enjoy those things, just personally meant I never got too into fanon ranchers when I did join the fandom.

so, all this to say, ranchers is a cool ship and its fun to see occasionally, but not too invested. I also haven’t watched any life series stuff in a while so maybe when I rewatch DL I’ll feel differently
