The dreaded day had come.
A guard had shaken your cell, waking you out of your light slumber. Knowing that it was coming made you on edge. He injected you with another diazepam injection. You tried to fight back, but you felt too exhausted. Everything felt numb. The guard dragged you to your bedroom where you were greeted with maids. They all had dark features and looked young yet old, just like Safin. You saw the makeup, the flowers, and the dress that they had prepared for your wedding. One of the maids took your hand and let you to the bathrooms, undressing you as you got into the hot water. The cell had been cold and dark so the water felt like heaven on your skin. You requested to bathe by yourself, but the maids insisted on helping you.
Tears began to stream down your cheeks. You didn’t even feel them until they began to drip onto your legs. One of the maids grabbed your chin and wiped them, smiling.
“You are in good hands, y/n. I promise.” She promised, wiping a strand of hair out of your face.
All you did was look down, refusing to look in the mirror. They took you from your chair and helped you in to your wedding dress. The reason you refused to look in the mirror was that you were still disgusted with yourself. The blood still felt like it was on your hands. You could taste Safin’s skin your teeth. One of the mains tilted your head up, forcing you to look in the full-length mirror. The maids had curled your hair and put up into a messy tucked bun, securing it off with little baby breaths. The makeup they had put on was simple; eyeliner, some gloss, blush, and mascara. Your dress was truly elegant. It was a long, v-neck dress covered in white pearls and flowers. The material was transparent showing the shadow of your legs. To finish off the look, the maids had sprayed you with expensive perfume and white blossom earrings.
You didn’t deserve this at all. You never wanted to be married, especially to a man such as Safin. Your only attempt at safety had been killed. Bond was right, Safin was a threat to the world. He never scared you, until now. What was your life going to be like, stuck on the island? Your thoughts couldn’t’ even imagine it.
There was a knock at the door, distracting you from your thoughts. Serrano and a few guards had entered the room. He had been dressed in a white collared shirt, black dress pants, and loafers. A smile appeared on his face before bowing his head as a sign of respect.
“You look wonderful, Y/n.” Serrano complimented.
Not knowing how to respond, a subtle smile appears on your face as you bow face. You refused to speak. The room felt like it was spinning. He walked over and took your arm. You felt a little dizzy and tumbled, but Serrano kept you up. The two of you walked out of the room heading to your doom. These were your last minutes of being single, alone with your thoughts.
“Are you nervous?” He asked, looking at your face. It was emotionless, drained of life. You looked like a depressed teenager who had a pound of makeup slapped onto your face.
“No..” You said. “I just..”
“I know this isn’t what you want. But let me say,” Serrano explained. “Safin loves you more than anything in the world. It may come off in an odd manner, but he only means well. He’s never had anyone truly care about him before. But he will treat you well. He worships you. I promise, y/n.”
“I don’t love him. At all…”
“Over time, you will learn. It seems undesirable, but he will make sure you live a comfortable life.” Serrano comforted. He was only trying to help. He wasn’t dumb enough to know that you were being forced into this. Being married, he knew marriage was built on trust and love, two things you and Safin lacked. Once Safin had you, he wasn’t going to let go of you so easily. After all, he killed most of the soldiers who came to rescue you off the island. Safin was crazy for you, and only you. Maybe he had a point. You would live a quiet life, never having to worry about money or putting food on the table. Of course, it would have Safin, but as Serrano said you would learn. Whether you liked it or not, Safin was going to become your husband. All of your attempts of rescue were seemingly failing. This was your life now.
Serrano and you stopped by the doors that lead into the guard, where the marriage would happen. You let out a shaky sigh, feeling like it had been happening all too fast.
Serrano squeezed your arm. “Whenever your ready.”
Looking up at Serrano, you saw his sad and tired eyes. You couldn’t just wait outside forever. Looking at the door, you nodded. “I’m ready.”
Opening the doors, it was dark, only lit by thousands of wax candles. You slowly walked down the aisle, being lead on white roses. Baby breaths and lavender hung from the cycling, brushing against your shoulders. In front of you stood Safin, a priest, and a few guards. Upon seeing you, a smile grew on Safin’s face. His greenish-blue eyes twinkled in the candlelight. You were glowing. The day that he had always wanted was finally here. The flowers in your hair, your glossy lips, the veil, everything about you was perfect.
Serrano let go of your arm and stepped behind Safin. Safin was smiling. His hair had been gelled back and he wore a black. You had to admit, he looked so handsome up close. He lifted your veil, looking at you dreamingly before taking your hands into his own.
“Y/n, you look heavenly…”
Mere hours ago, you had shot him. Safin had yelled in your face and was currently forcing you to marry him. He knew he had won you over. Nothing was going to stop Safin from being with y/n.
The priest looked at the two fo you before enchanting prayers in Greek. Safin’s milky orbs met with your [y/e/c]’s orbs. All he wanted to was whisk you away and be alone with you. But he had come too far to get you. It hadn’t been easy, in which he knew it wasn’t going to be. Y/n was a stubborn woman. But she had learned over time to fall for him. She had to fall for him.
“Safin, do you take y/n to be your wife? To be good and true to her in bad times, in sickness and health? To honor and love her for all the days of your life?”
“I, Lyutsifer Safin, take {y/n} {y/l/n} to be my wife. I promise to be true to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love her and honor her for all the days of my life.”
“Y/n, do you take Lyutsifer Safin to be your husband? To be good and true to him in bad times, in sickness and health? To honor and love him for all the days of your life.”
This was it. Everything you once knew would be gone. Your freedom, your family, your sanity would no longer be apart of your life. You began to shake and sweat. Blanking out what the priest had said, you muttered a small “yes”.
“Miss, you must repeat the whole saying.” The priest corrected. You looked like you were on the verge of tears.
Safin’s thumb gently caressed your skin, playing with your fingers. He wasn’t rushing you, but comforting you. Last night had been rough for both of you. But after you were married, it would be put right behind you. Being married would be a fresh start for you and Safin. “It’s ok, take your time..”
Not wanting to wait any longer, you simply repeated what the priest had said in a monotone voice. “I, [y/n][y/l/n], take Lyutsifer Safin...to be my husband.” Saying those words make you want to throw up. You had come so far, you couldn’t give up. “I promise to be true to him in good times and bad, in sickness and health. I will...love him and honor him for all the days of my life.”
“You have declared your consent before the Church,” The priest smiled at the two of you, holding gout his hands. “Any objections?”
Your inner voice screamed thousands of objections. While nobody spoke in the crowds, your mind was racing with thousands of thoughts. There was no fight left in you. Safin had gotten what he wanted. He always got what he wanted. All you did was stand there and look pretty. Your eyes burned with tears, but you held them back. There was no point in whining now.
Closing the book, the priest had placed the rings on your fingers and look at the two of you before announcing, “May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. You may kiss the bride.”
A few woo’s emerged from the crowd. Safin cupped your cheeks and brought hips lips onto yours. To prevent yourself from falling over, your hands rested on his waist. The kiss was long, gentle, and possessive. Safin’s tongue demanded entry into your mouth, wanting to taste every bite of your red lips. There was no point in you contributing since you felt nothing. Not happy or sad; just pure nothing. Everything you once knew was gone. The only thing that was going to ever matter in your life was Safin, your husband. Your husband you didn’t love back.
-----
The afterparty took place outside, on top of the submarine pen. It overlooked the sun setting over the Mediterranian sea. Safin knew how much you loved being outside of the submarine pen. You sat at the main table, overlooking the guards and maids socializing. Safin had sat by your side the whole time, his hand running circles on your thigh. He would whisper how lovely you looked and how lucky he was to be married to you. All you would do his nod your head and force a subtle smile. Inside, you were empty and felt cold. Ever so cold.
You took your hair out of the bun and let it rest on your shoulders as white flowers decorated your hair. Safin had returned with two drinks, seeing you stare straight at the sunset. He placed your drinks down and sat close next to you. You smelt like flowers and perfume. For such a happy day, Safin had noticed you seemed rather sad. He couldn’t ell fi the guards had over drugged you, or if you had been upset about the previous day.
He noticed your white flower on the table and picked it up, tucking it right behind your ear. Safin looked at you, memoized. “My little dove, your so quiet. I assumed the bride would be happy on her wedding day..”
You let out a shaky breath, feeling Safin’s fingers play with the ends of your hair. “I just...am a little confused I guess…”
“Please, let us put that behind us. We are married now.” He lovingly cooed. “You will never have to worry about him, or them ever again. As you as your are mine, I am yours. I promised to honor you, did I not?”
“You did…” You said. He took your lips and placed a soft kiss onto them.
“I will never hurt you, my love. Ever. You will never have to worry about such a thing.” He promised. Safin took your soft hand and placed another kiss on it. If he wanted, he wanted to strip you down and make love to you once again, see your pretty face all flustered and red. “You understand?”
Nodding your head, he smiled back at you as he still played with your hair, feeling the flowers in his hand. “I picked the flowers for the wedding. I knew they would go well with you, anything would..”
You looked at the flowers and how white they were, a smile as you admired them. White flowers always reminded you of innocence and peace. Those were the two things that stripped of you over the years. Safin knew that and wanted to make the ceremony as normal for you as possible.
“I’m going to get some wine.” You announced. Safin held your hand as you walked away. His fingers begged for you to stay, but he understood that you needed a breather. He looked at one of his guards and signaled for them to follow you. He knew how broken you were, your beautiful eyes were full of melchalony. Safin couldn’t sleep the night before his wedding, worried about you. He hated seeing you so sad. But he hoped that later tonight he could make you feel again. All Safin wanted was a woman to talk to and live out his days with.
Was he truly asking for so much?
-----
Instead of getting wine, you had fled back to the gardens. All of the guards and maids that been outside, leaving you to wander the submarine pen alone. As you entered the floral wonderland, it brought back so many memories. From the time Safin had gifted it to you to the time you had gotten married, it all seemed so odd to think that it happened in less than a year. The only place you felt calm and even happy. It was the garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers to hide the pain of the world.
You had managed to smuggle a knife your garter. It was a sharp blade used for steak knives. As you admired the blade, you sat in front of a running stream to hear nothing but running water. Your reflection gleamed in the knife, revealing your eyes which had lost all color. The makeup you wore was a mask. What was the point of living if you couldn’t feel anything? You never imagined that you would die on your wedding day. Just a few years ago, you had danced with death. It felt like nothing like a burden had been lifted off of your shoulders. Maybe if you died, then you wouldn’t hurt anymore and finally, be free. You closed your eyes and positioned the knife, preparing to end it all. To escape the pain of the world and your loveless marriage.
“...C?”
That name was alien to you. C felt like a whole other identity. You lowered the knife and turned around to see who it was. Who would be calling your codename instead of your real name?
It was Nomi.
You blinked and squinted, refusing to believe the sight in front of you. It had been months since you had seen her. There she stood, breathing with a gun lowered. She looked rather confused but had sympathetic eyes. You looked broken more than anything.
“Double oh eight…” You smiled, your voice cracking. “Y-your here...your alive..”
“I’m here, your okay.” She reassured. Dropping the knife, you pushed yourself up and ran over to her. She patted your back, accepting the embrace. Nomi was like a little sister to you. After Bond had left, you mentored her. Taught her how to shoot targets, how to hide, everything she needed for the field. Not knowing about her fate haunted you every day. But you finally knew that she was alive.
“I’m sorry...I’m so sorry…” You apologized over and over again. “I sent you into a death trap, I-”
“C, it happened. It’s in the past now. Look at me, I’m here.” Her chocolate orbs scaled your body, noticing the wedding dress. “What are you in..?”
“It’s a long story. Safin..he’s obsessed…”
“Oh my god. Holy fuck..” Nomi cursed. You didn’t even have to explain to her what had happened. It was too bizarre to be explained. “We gotta get you outta here. Did he hurt you?”
You stood up, grabbing her shoulder. “No, not once. We have to be careful. I don’t know if there are guards lurking here or not.” Nomi held a pistol instead of a rifle, a small weapon. “That won’t last you. His men are dangerous. There’s a range I can take you to with better weapons. Just follow my lead?’
“Yes Ma’am.” Nomi nodded. She always called you ma’am as a sign of respect.
Leaning against the door, you tried to hear any incoming footsteps or breathes but heard none. You peaked your head out the door and looked both ways. The range was only a hallway down. You and Nomi moved quicked, your eyes both peeled. Upon entering the range, you locked the door and lead her to the arsenal of weapons.
“How’d the hell you know ‘bout this?” The female agent asked, admiring all of the weapons. They were far better than her tiny gun. She took a Car-15 and a few other small weapons, finding the ammo for them.
You decided to quickly change out of your wedding dress into a thermal turtleneck and utility pants for more comfort. “Safin let me shoot. Treated me like I was a guest more than a prisoner. I don’t know what he’s capable of. He’s unnerving..”
“Seemed like he was obsessed with you. Q had recovered the footage from your apartment. He purred into your ear...” Nomi replied. You handed her some ammo, which she thanked you for. You raised your eyebrows in response, confirming it as true.
“Shit, you poor thing…” Nomi responded. “We looked everywhere we could for you. Q looked day and night for you. Nothing would come up until the signal. The office lost it. They knew it was you..”
“I made it come up.” Clicking the ammo into your rifle, you looked at Nomi. “Did they send you alone?’
“No, Bond came with. He’s after Safin, I’m after you.”
“Shit,” You cursed. “Bond’s fucked. He’s got guards for-”
“C, he’s Bond. That man doesn’t die.” Nomi did have a point. Bond had been a double agent for over a decade. He had been one of the longest living double oh’s. You hoped Nomi would follow in his footsteps.
“Still, Safin’s dangerous.” You explained. You were talking about your husband who you had married an hour ago. With Nomi back, a small spark of fight had been ignited. All of your hope that had been lost came back. “We’ve got to take him down before it’s too late.”
-----
“James Bond. License to kill, history of violence... I could be speaking to my own reflection. Only your skills will die with your body, while mine will survive long after I'm gone.”
James had feared the worst. This was his first time coming face to face with the infamous Safin. He didn’t hold to kindly to him considering that he tried to kill him and his fellow agents with explosives. Only two of the double oh’s had died from the explosions, which wasn’t ideal but it was better than losing all of them. He had remembered being stuck under the rubble with Nomi for hours before being pulled out by Italian Agents. M16 had been pulled into a trap and they were paying for it. Not only had they lost a few agents, but they lost one of there most valuable resources. C’s sudden disappearance was immediately connected to Safin. The CIA even aided in C’s search but no trace of her had been found. It wasn’t until a signal had come to M16 from a small, Medterrian island.
“We are not the same person,” James responded, a cold and harsh tone in his voice. ‘Where is she?”
“She? You mean y/n?” Safin raised an eyebrow. He should have known. Once you had disappeared, the island came under attack by M16 agents and the two double oh’s. “She is a rather smart girl, isn’t she?”
“Where.Is.She?” Bond repeated. He could only imagine the horrible things Safin would have done to C. “Your island is surrounded and your men have been taken down. Your little game is over...”
“Y/n’s loyalty to me is undying, Bond. She was more loving and honest than your little Madeliene ever was to anyone.” Safin hissed with full venom in his words. He could see Bond’s face twist with anger.
“Y/n is mine, and mine to keep. She belongs to me. You won’t take her away from me.”
“History is not kind to men who play god.”
Safin was prepared to respond. A gun rested under the table. One wrong move and Bond would be dead. If he could kill a miliatry squad, than two agents were practically nothing. Y/n was going to stay by his side forever like she had promised earlier. Safin had plans to move them to another remote area and hide away, keeping you under a strict order until you had loved him. Bond wanted to steal Y/n, just like he had stolen Madeliene. Safin saw no point in keep his reflection alive. As his hand raised to shoot bond, he went still. A sharp object was held at his throat, making him freeze. The all too familiar chanel perfume roamed in his noise.
“Not such a clever man now are we?”
You held a knife to his throat, restricting his solider. The gun Safin had been holding slid out of his hands with you throwing him off guard. Nomi had taken down the two guards in the room. Bond upon seeing you looked astonished.
“Your alive.” was all he was maybe to mutter. He stood up and helped you restrain Safin down to secure his arms. Nomi radioed in for backup to come aid the three of you.
“Barley.” You responded, a nod. Bond had so many entouncters with death that it became normal for him. Safin looked at you, but not with anger. His eyebrows were soft and milky orbs full of sadness. It looked like his heart had been shattered. You held Safin down as Bond and Nomi approached the M16 agents who came to retrieve Safin and destory his base.
“How could you do this to us?” Safin whispered, seeming perplexed and betrayed. He looked back to catch a glimpse of your beautiful face. “You promised yo-”
“There is no us, Safin. There will never be an us. Ever.” You said to him with your usual stubbornness back. A few soldiers had come over and grabbed Safin. He never fought once and was simply dragged away, his eyes refusing to leave you. Safin looked like a sad lost puppy. You couldn’t believe it was happening.
You were finally free.
-----
You watched the island you had called home get smaller and smaller as the chopper you resided in flew away. Bond and Nomi sat across from you, relieved that you were alive. Most of the analysts and agents at M16 assumed you had been killed. But here you were, three months later, alive but broken. The two agents asked you thousands of questions, and you of course had responded. Bond refused to believe that Safin was in love with you. Nomi wasn’t shocked, saying that Safin seemed like a lonely creep who wanted someone to use. You corrected her by saying he wanted someone to love, company in his darkness. The two agents found it hard to believe that Safin was capable of holding feelings for other humans.
Why did you defined Safin?
In every question they asked, you felt like you were justifying Safin’s actions. You were trying not to. Safin was a monster who deserved no pity. Even if he had a tragic upbringing. No human was born evil, but made. Safin never had a clear understanding of what was right or wrong. He grew up a labrat, abused and used. He was a product of hate and had ruthlessness embedded in his blood from a young age. Bond and Safin were similar, yet so different. Bond was the hero everyone had expected. Safin was a lot of things in your head, misunderstood being one of them. His heartbroken expression still haunts your mind. As the chopper flies away, you look out into the Medterrian Sea with the moon shining onto.
You’re free from Safin. You should have been overjoyed, excited to go home and go back to a normal life. See your friends and family and recover from all of the pain you had experienced.
But instead of feeling happy, you felt sad.
Why did you feel so Heartbroken?

It was cold outside, but the speed at which Dean was running ,made the wind sting at your cheeks even more. You tried to snuggle up in the jacket as much as you could, but it wasn’t of much help at this point. He was looking down at you, but your exposed skin kept his head moving away.
“Hold on, I am going down.” his pack house was deep in the forest. Judging by the front door ,his pack knew you were coming, since almost all 4 of them where outside and waiting. As careful as he could, Dean let you down.
“April.” a timid looking girl with short brown hair in a bob style, pushed through the boys “Take her to the girls and help her out.”
The girl was gentle, she held your hand and walked slowly next to you. She took you to another house next to the main territory.
“My name is April, nice to meet you.” she smiled and you did the same back, trying to be polite even if you were feeling just drained, emotionally and physically
“My name is Y/N.” you introduced yourself
April didn’t say much after that, noticing your exhaustion. The moment you walked into the house ,out of no where 3 girls jumped on top of you. They seemed excited to meet the new comer, but after what happened you pulled back and growled, flashing them the dominant gold, making sure they knew to be careful.
After a split second you recovered your sanity and calmed down.
“I am so sorry.I-I didn’t mean to react like this.” you bowed a few times, thinking they were angry for some reason
“Hey now, it’s ok.” you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder ”We should have known better than to surprise an alpha like that. My name is Scarlet, you can remember me by my red hair.Easy right?” she pointed at her head and gave you the biggest smile “The pigtail blondie over their is Myla and the girl with short black hair is her sister Zoe.”
“It’s nice to meet you.”they smiled at you
“My name is Y/N, it’s nice to meet you too.”
The girls took you to the bathroom upstairs to try and help you calm down and relax ,since you had this frightful and confused aura around you.
“Dean left you in our care so don’t worry, we will do our best.”said April
“But damn girl, what happened to you? I have never seen an alpha in a state like you.” Scarlet eyed you up and down.
“Guys!” you could hear Myla yelling from the bathroom “The bath is ready, she can come in.”
You got up and walked with a trembling step. At this point you were left alone, so you undressed now fully and slowly stepped one foot after the other in the warm water. Your body was able to relax finally and your alpha instincts subdued.
*knock knock*
“We are coming in.”April announced before you could cover yourself
“Y/N we got some clothes for- “Myla dropped everything out of her hands and covered her mouth, eyes wide in shock.
“W-who did that to you....?” Zoe’s voice trembled as she stepped closer, her hands reaching out towards your skin. Last to enter was Scarlet still not knowing. She confidently strode in when a particular sweet smell hit her nose.
“Guys, did someone use some kind of candy shampoo? I swear it smells like an omega in here.” she laughed out .When she saw the girls frozen looking at you, her mind couldn’t compute “What happened in here?” her eyes moved towards you ,as your head slowly turned to look at them. Right in front of them the gold faded to white, so bright and pure. Her breath stopped. No one moved, the air was thick and only the dripping water showed that time was still moving.
As the oldest, Scarlet got a grip on herself and straightened her back.
“April go lock the doors and pull the curtains, no one comes in.” the girl nodded and ran “Myla cover her and help her get to the bedroom ,now!” she picked up the towels and made sure you were ok enough to get up“ Zoe get the boxes and bring them here.”
“Rodger.” you were looking at the organisation these girls had, everyone knew what they were doing. You soon found yourself sitting on the bed ,towel around your body and one on your hair. Zoe was sitting on your left, Myla on your right, Scarlet was positioned, legs crossed in front of you and April standing next to her. It was silent for a bit as you looked at the ground, not knowing whether you could talk to them after what happened.
“So you mean to tell me that sweet smell was from you?” she asked getting a nod as a reply “ We all saw her golden eyes right?” Scarlet looked around the room and the girls agreed with her
“But...we also saw the white in the bathroom.”Zoe placed her hand on your knee “You don’t have to talk to us if you don’t want to.”
“My sis is right.”Myla jumped in “But please keep in mind that here we are all omega, we can help you. Just tell us.”
You took a deep breath and decided that it was the best option you had, since this was the first time you were around so many omega of similar age as you. Looking up ,you leaned onto your arms and made yourself comfortable on the bed.
“I am a mutt. My mom is an omega and my dad is a beta.”
“That doesn’t make you a mutt.”April looked at you trying to reassure you
“That doesn’t make sense.” Scarlet pulled everyone’s attention, as she waved her hand in front of her dark completion “You should be either an omega or beta.Alphas aren’t born from two betas nor two omegas. Yet here you are, both none the less.”
“The truth goes deeper than that.” you flashed the white color of your eyes “I am an omega obviously, but.” you covered your eyes for a second and looked back up “I am also an alpha and beta.”
“Silver and gold!” someone in the room gasped if not all
“How is that physically possible?!” Zoe kept rubbing her hands together uneasily
“Ok let’s forget about he origin, alpha and beta stuff for a second.”Scarlet’s coolheadedness kept amazing you, no wonder they all listened to her so carefully “Seems to me from my senses that you are an extremely powerful alpha, but for someone as mixed as you, mating season must be awful.” she pointed at your neck “Let me guess, a sudden moment of weakness? Omega nature? Or something else?”
“One of my pack memeb-” Scarlet bursted out laughing, cutting you off mid sentence
“A member from your pack? I thought they were supposed to be tame.”
“He is older than me but a pure breed alpha, like his parents. The thing is, he was half transformed, never had teeth to prove it.I never expected him to overpower me.” you continued
“Judging by your neck he sure does have a nice pair of fangs on him.Probably matured already.” Zoe looked over the bite mark
“Since you seem new to...umm our side of the spectrum I should explain somethings to you.” April gently placed a strand of hair behind her ear and began “ Omegas are submissive, yes, but only to their mate or someone who they have feelings for. If the mate’s hormones suppress the omega a lot, that means they were specially made in his/her body for that particular omega in mind. In a way mating season works only for mates and fated mates. Others just roam around getting beat up. Most of us are pretty strong and smart, so a horny alpha or beta isn’t a problem, plus our pack leader keeps us safe during the season.”
“In other words.” Scarlet cut April off suddenly and leaned onto her knees, looking straight at you “Your under pup has a mighty big crush on you and it seems that so do you.” she pulled out some creams out of a wooden box “Lay down.We need to clean those out.”
“Who knows how it looks, he was pretty drunk.” you sighed as you positioned yourself on the bed and let the girls do what they knew.
“For someone drunk he made clean and careful bite marks.” Myla laughed out. Placing the cream on the bite mark, she ran her finger over your skin and looked down at your legs “I wonder...” she mumbled
“Is something wrong?” you asked
“Umm I am was just a bit surprised at how fast you heal, but I forgot you were an alpha.” she giggled
“What is actually on your mind?”Zoe looked at her sister with serious eyes “I know that face very well.” the girls were waiting and Myla had no other option but to speak up
“This bite is clean and precise, too precise for a male in heat. I think he was planning this. “
“What do you mean.”you lifted your head up to look at her properly
“He wasn’t trying to get with her just for the season or because of her sent. He was marking her.” the silence in the room was making you uneasy until she continued again “This is just a theory of course.”Myla rose her hands in the air and shook them in front of her face
“But?”Zoe pushed her sister further
“But...”the ‘t’ letter on the end came out together with a sigh “ There is a way to find out and I think if I am right Y/N would know already what to show us.” she was looking at you trying to see if her hunch was correct. With a swift move you sat back up
“I don’t know if this is what you want to see...” you stood up and went to the bathroom to put on the clothes left there for you. Coming back out, everyone was staring at you. Slowly you reached down and pulled the fabric up a bit exposing your thighs. Scarlet grabbed your hand and pulled you on the bed.
“Don’t worry sweetie, we are all women here, don’t be shy.” she winked at you and began examining your thighs. You were so embarrassed ,but couldn’t do anything about it. “Hahaha!” the red hair just swung over you like a flame “We got a real lover boy here.Yo Zoe check it out.”
“Guys...” you almost whispered
“Mhm?”
“Can we NOT stare so intensely at my.....lower region?”
“Ok ok, you can get up.”
In a way the mood had lightened up a lot since you first came in. Which was really good.
“So, who is the lucky guy?”Myla asked you
“I don’t know what you are talking about. He is a rude and stuck up idiot.Lucky my ass.He was probably just horny.”crossing your arms in front of your chest you pouted
“Girl, the bite marks are carefully placed not to hurt you, if he wanted to fuck he would have done it. He was marking you, he likes you obviously.” you felt someone poke your side “You got a pic of him?”
“OMG yesss, do you?”
“I wanna see too!!!”
The girls started talking one over the other, the room filled itself with random words and voices mixing up with each other. You were used to a commotion. Living with 7 wild wolves got you trained, but you felt this strange excitement you never knew until now.Was it because they were like you?You weren’t one to bend easy under pressure, but you decided to repay them a bit like this.
“I have pictures of my pack on my phone. You pulled it out of the pants that were on the floor. Who knew putting it in your pjs would be useful for you someday. The girls piled on top of you on the bed and you pulled out a random pick.
“Is it this one!The light brown hair?”Zoe pointed at Shownu
“No, he is a beta.” they were guessing but not landing it correctly “It’s actually him.”
“The pink haired guy?” Myla squinted her eyes “I don’t see him well.”
“Wait I have another pic from last summer when we went to the beach.”you clicked fast and found the summer 2018 folder, filled to the brim with pics you got from the guys and ones you took yourself.
“Oh lord!”Zoe screamed out
“I must say.”Scarlet’s eyebrows shot up “Even for an alpha he is bigggg. His arm probably is as big as April herself.”
“I agree and I am not that small.”
“And here I thought Dean got you, but judging by the difference in the level our pack leader got out shined.” locking the phone you looked at Scarlet
“Enough fun. I need your help.” she eyed you and nodded
“You want to learn what we can do as omegas, right?” making yourself comfortable, you showed her that you were ready for anything they threw at you “Ok let me tell you something interesting.” she leaned back in her chair and looked at you with a cat eyes and a smirk “ What would you say, if I told you that omegas can wrap any alpha around their finger with their scent.”
“What?!”
“Scarlet is right. Every omega has a particular scent too.” April added “Mine is lavender for example.
“ Thanks April. The thing is, you don’t have a scent that I can identify. It’s sweet and strong. It could be a flower, candy, possibly something else. Maybe because of your other natures.I don’t know if this is possible and it’s just a theory i thought of right now, but if you use alpha power and omega manipulation ,you could be pretty formidable enemy for many packs.”
“How do I do that?” you were on the edge of your seat, just waiting to learn the uses your other selves could have
“April show her.” she walked over and opened the window. Reaching outside her arm was flocked with birds almost immediately “I call this the Disney princess skill, since animals are easily attracted.Since we are a type of animal as well, makes the process the same.”
“So I just have to think what I am trying to control and it happens?” you looked at the small sparrow on April’s hand, it seemed to notice you since it’s two little eyes were looking right at you. It wasn’t moving, no matter how much you were focusing. Telling it to come a few times didn’t help as yell.
“Hahahah.”Zoe grabbed her stomach and started rolling on the bed “I can tell from 10km away that you are an alpha.” she wiped away the tear on her eye “You don’t use verbal commands stupid.Think what you want it to do and send the message. Remember we omega are supposed to be timid. If we continue to act like that, the wolves underestimate us and it’s easier to manipulate those idiots.”
“I see. So I just think.” April relaxed and the birds flew away ,even the sparrow you were in a way practicing with
“Aw, it flew away.” she smiled at it
* Screech *
“Wow wow.” Scarlet stepped back as a hawk flew in the room and landed on your shoulder
“That was....harder than I thought to understand.” you were taking deep breathes to try and regain some energy.A bit more excavating than you thought.
“IDIOT”Scarlet grabbed your cheeks with one of her hands, squeezing hard “TURN ALPHA RIGHT NOW!” she almost screamed in your face.

Chapter 5 Control
Loki allowed you to cry into his chest until you were calm.
"I must confess something to you my little flame." He spoke in hushed tones as he petted your hair.
"I think I have fallen for a fire giant...and I wish to worship you if you will allow me to." You felt elated but your heart was throbbing in a strange combination of joy and worry. Your hands and wrists were black and swirled with wisps of smoke as Loki gently undressed you and kissed every inch of your flesh making sure to spend lengthy amounts of time caressing and kissing your most intimate parts. He smirked as you panted, you were being very careful not to grab his hair nearing close to releasing.
"My darling, may I take your innocence away for me to keep forever?" You moaned gently and arched your back as he flicked his tongue against you. He was teasing you close to the edge.
"Yes, oh God Loki, please..." you whimpered out and he was within you. The pain and fullness sent your head reeling as you two pushed each other over the edge. He was so tender and gentle with you making sure you were okay every few moments. After a while he quickened his pace and groaned your name. Your own waves of euphoria crashing down over your body. You could feel him filling you with his seed. A sadness sank into your stomach. You would never be able to truly give yourself to him...not as a fire giant and he as an ice giant. You wouldn't be able to touch him while making love if you couldn't control the flames. He spent the rest of the day cuddling you in his arms until it was time to go. Loki dressed you again and held onto you bridal style as he teleported. You squeezed your eyes shut and swallowed down the bile. The journey making you feel nauseous.
"Darling? We are here." He spoke gently placing you down on a soft bed. You peeked through your lashes to find he had brought you to some form of hotel room.
"Where are we?" You whispered still feeling incredibly sick.
"Brussles. I am so sorry little flame but I have to keep moving you. To keep you safe." Loki pushed some hair from your face and gently caressed your cheek.
"I need you to get stronger before we can leave this realm. If teleporting makes you ill, then the bifrost will surely incapacitate you." You held your stomach and groaned. It felt like you would gag any moment.
"Loki- trashcan!" You whimpered out as he quickly obliged. He held your hair and rubbed your back while you heaved all of the broth you had ate.
"I knew it was too soon....I'm so sorry my darling." He waited till you were done vomiting then presented you with a cool washcloth to wipe your face.
You say back against the headboard and painted trying to get the dizziness to stop.
"Loki where will we go? Once we are off of earth?" You weren't accustomed to his realms and didn't know hardly anything about them.
"Well...Asgard was destroyed by ragnarok...your father did that. You should be proud." He laughed but you didn't see the humor.
"Muspelhiem was destroyed by Thor...so that leaves Vanaheim, which is the land of Seidr and snobs." He smirks at his own joke.
"Alfheim, land of light elves, Nidvellir, land of the dwarves, Niflheim, land of ice mist and fog, Helheim, land of the dead and damned, and finally Jotunheim, land of the ice giants...where I originated from." Loki counted them out while you listened.
"Loki...can I even flourish in your world? I'm a fire giant...I'm the last fire giant...Thor and Surtur made sure of that." You felt sadness wash over you. Your species will extinguish with you, and you dont even know anything about them.
Loki put his arm around you and brought you close to his chest shushing you gently.
"Shhh I know its overwhelming. I was the same when I discovered my heritage...We will go anywhere you want. And if you do not want it after a while we will keep going until you feel at home." His kind words were enough to hurt your heart. He was so kind to you all of the sudden. So gentle and caring, when before he never treated you so fragile, he would yell and scream and be snarky...did he see you in another way? Perhaps he did really love you in some way, but this nagging feeling in your mind made you wonder if you could truely stay with him. After all...ice giants and fire giants were enemies and together could cause so much chaos.
Loki pulled your chin upwards so his deep green eyes could scan yours.
"Tell me what's wrong darling?" His breath fanning your face.
"...tell me the truth...you would never trick me right?" Your voice was soft and trembling slightly. His eyes turned dark.
"Who has said this to you? Who has planted this hurtful idea in your mind?" He pushed back from you to stand and pace before the bed. His reaction worrying you more, he never denied it. He never said no.
"Why in all the realms would you think I am against you? I am hiding you from shield!" He tried to keep his temper in check but it was breaking through as his voice rose.
"I swore on my mother to you! On Frigga herself that I would protect you and keep you from them."
You felt the queasiness again as you tried to stand.
"Loki- what if shield is right? What if I am too dangerous, I mean...there is a reason Thor destroyed surtur and Muspelhiem...I'm the last of them...me..maybe I need to d-" he pushed a finger to your mouth forcefully.
" Don't you dare utter that word. I swear to the gods of old I will never forgive you if you say you should perish. I don't care if you are the last woman on any realm you deserve to live and be happy as anyone else." His eyes were wide and dilated in anger. He was visibly shaking.
"Yes, but what if they come for me and I can't control myself again...what if I hurt innocent people...I would deserve to be thrown in a tank for eternity. I-I dont want to hurt anyone."
"Listen to me. You just need control. People die every day! Catastrophic events happen every single day darling. It's just something that happens to no ones fault. If I could just get you strong enough we can take on shield and get you out of here!"
Your eyes widdened. Did he just say take on shield? Does he want you to fight them? Horrifying images of your once teammates mangled and lifeless at your feet flashed before your eyes. You backed up away from Loki with your hands up.
"I-I can't. Loki I can't fight them.. I can't be a pawn in this game..."
You felt the door behind your back as he stepped closer to you. Tears pricked your eyes.
"No, please stop...don't do this. I need you to be level headed. Please let's talk. You are too weak and they will never let me near you again. Please. Little flame. Don't. Dont go." A single tear slid down his cheek as he reached out with a trembling hand.
"I'm sorry Loki...I- I can't cause the destruction of the avengers or earth... please...don't try to come for me...I- I deserve this." And before he could chase, you had slammed the door and ran.
You ran down the street like a psychotic woman until you found an obviously abandoned building and screamed letting the tears flow. Your body erupting into huge catastrophic flashes of fire. Cracks of light broke through your ebony flesh as you pushed as hard as you could. The building was in flames within seconds. You fell to your knees and sobbed, your clothes burnt off, your hair hanging around your face in small dirty clumps.
A hand gently held your shoulder as your head slumped down. Your fire becoming extinguished as you realized how tired you were.
"Lady Embers...I need you to come with me..please...try to control yourself." Thor spoke softly.
"I wont fight you Thor....I'm done fighting...just...throw me back in the tank." You stood and let your head hang. You felt utterly defeated.
"I-I have to put these on you as a safety measure...I'm so sorry..." your tears dripped onto the floor as smoke rolled off your skin. Thor held out the shackles and you held your trembling arms out. Allowing him to shackle you. You felt the energy draining away as you became utterly exhausted. You stumbled and fell. The now cold ash floor smacking your face, cutting your eyebrow. Thor scooped your shaking body up and held you close. Walking you out of the building before passing you to Natasha who wrapped a black blanket around you to hide your nakedness.
"I am so glad we found you safe. We were so worried Loki had brainwashed you. That we would have to fight you." Natasha gently wiped your face and tucked your hair behind your ear.
"Let's get you home." She smiled gently and walked you into the jet that was waiting nearby. Laying you down on a bench in the back. Tony behind the controls smirked as he could see Loki watching from a near by window. He held up a suited hand and waved at the God. Loki snarled and turned, but not before Tony saw the glint of tears on his cheeks.
"Did he hurt you?" Bruce asked looking over your body.
"N-no...quite the contrary...I think I broke his heart." You mumbled feeling the numbness in your chest. You just wanted to disappear. To be swallowed up into the ground.
Bruce frowned and began an assessment. Gently pushing and poking various places on your body before taking a small flashlight and looking into your eyes and throat.
"Tony she needs to go straight to the lab. She is-"
"Yeah yeah we will get her there." Tony cut him off as he jerked the jet up and hightailed it out of there.
Thor moved beside the bench and held your hand. You stared upwards into the light feeling incredibly numb. Almost as if the flame within your chest was finally nothing but embers.
"Bruce..she is what?" Thor urged him on.
"Thor...I think she's dying." Bruce whispered. You closed your eyes as a tear slipped down your face.
"Are you happy? It's consuming me." You whisper aloud.

The Sense of Him
Pairing: Nathan Prescott/Reader
Part 1/2
Word count: 3527
Series Summary: You’re hauled up in Nathan Prescott’s dorm room past curfew where friendship must be resolved and feelings must be admitted.
Click here to read Part Two
Your hair fell in front of your face, the water dripped off and soaked the carpet underneath you. Your hands shook at your sides with the chill that ran through your body from being completely and utterly drenched. Your bones creaked with exhaustion and the only thing you wanted to do was curl up inside your nice, warm bed.
Except somehow, you were standing in the middle of Nathan Prescott’s dorm room, soaked to the bone and shivering uncontrollably.
Nathan flicked the loose strands of his hair back, leaving droplets of water on his forehead. His eyes found yours in a flurry of emotions, “Quit shivering like that, you’re freaking me out.” He looked down at the crumpled bag by his feet, only just refraining from sighing loudly.
You tried to bite down your words but the distress from tonight only worsened your mood, “I can’t help it. I was just out in the middle of a heavy downpour of rain with some guy who has no consideration for me at—”
As you tried to finish your sentence, hoping to have at least pissed him off a little, he ditched a shirt followed by some sweats right at your face, cutting you off from the rest of your words. You looked at him emotionless, but he went right back to searching through his torn backpack.
You stared down at the clothes in your hands. Dry, warm clothes that would surely stop you from shaking yourself to death but… Nathan’s clothes. You weren’t sure how you felt about that. If you were going to subject yourself to anyone’s clothes, Nathan would be the last person on your list. Especially since how things have been going as of late. You and Nathan have been… not exactly friends but not strangers. Indifferent. There would be moments between you that felt different, but other days, most days, there was this distance just sitting there; you were never sure how to close the gap. Or if you even wanted to.
“Just get dressed already, before you flood my dorm room with all that water,” he said while rustling through his bag for something.
You sighed and walked away from Nathan to the opposite side of his room. It was dark, his light turned off since it was already way past curfew. You turned to face the wall, reconsidering getting undressed. But it was practically impossible to get back to the girls’ dorms without suspicion, for the time being. They started cracking down hard on curfew times because of a few recent “incidents”. Those incidents being jocks leaving Blackwell in the middle of the night to party up at the lighthouse, or that night when a couple of students broke into the pool.
“If you look, I’ll hit you. Got it?” You challenged and glanced behind you to his crouched position on the floor.
He huffed and ditched his bag out of frustration, it fell onto its side near his drawers. Nathan glanced over to you and noticed your frown. He rolled his eyes at you before leaning against the wall. “The fucking USB is gone.” He laughed, shaking his head, “I left it in the fucking woods.”
You widened your eyes but felt surprised by his calmness, or softer anger – than usual. Something like this would make him explosive. He would throw shit around the dorm or curse until the sun came up. But instead, he sat against the wall laughing.
“Nathan…”
“It’s whatever,” he muttered before he found your eyes again. They grew soft, kind, something unusual on a Prescott. Especially someone so fiery like Nathan.
“We can go back—”
Nathan shook his head, again cutting you off. “No point. We’d go crazy trying to find the fucking thing in the dark. Besides, it’s still raining.” He paused to stare up at the ceiling, the rain evident more than ever with its loud pattering against the dorm building roof. He glanced to you again, quiet for a moment. “You’re gonna die from hyperthermia if you don’t change your clothes.”
You picked up the clothes he threw at you again, “Will we go look in the morning?”
He nodded before he twisted around so he faced the wall he leant on only seconds ago. His hands clapped over his face, he looked oddly like a small boy afraid of being scolded. “Alright, I’m not looking.”
“Good.”
“Good for we’ll go find it tomorrow, or good I’m not looking?”
“Both.” You lifted your own wet shirt over your head, drops of water splattered over your skin and you shook even more as your bare skin touched the cool air of Nathan’s dorm. “Fuck!” You cursed, and Nathan turned out of habit to see what was wrong. He yelped when he saw your naked torso, black bra and red face. You squealed as you met eyes, covering yourself with your wet shirt, “Nathan!”
“I thought something was wrong!” He argued as he turned back around, closing his eyes in a state of panic and embarrassment. “God, it’s not like I was trying to look at you on purpose.” He sighed, his head in his hands again, “Why’d you swear anyway? You never curse.”
You slipped on Nathan’s dry shirt, a graphic tee you’ve never seen before. “Cold.” You picked up his sweats and pulled them on, instantly feeling the cold begin to subside. You hung your wet clothes over the back of Nathan’s chair and he stood up from his spot on the floor when he noticed you moving around.
Nathan pulled off his own shirt, wet, and flung it onto the floor near his bed. You couldn’t help yourself and stared at his bare chest and toned stomach. You watched him pull on another shirt before he caught your eyes, “If I can’t look, you sure as hell can’t,” he said it fiercely, but you noticed the famous amused smirk on his lips.
You rolled your eyes before turning to face the window, blinds hung over the glass. A moment passed before you spoke up. “Sorry.”
“I was only joking a—”
“No, I mean…” You sighed, crossing your arms over your chest. You kept your eyes on the blinds as you thought about what to say. “I’m sorry about today. About being an asshole. About ruining the photoshoot and complaining about the rain.” You breathed out again, like it expelled all the stress from inside you. “And now the USB is missing—”
“It’s not your fault,” he said, the rustling of his pants being pulled on. He walked over to his bag, picked it up and set it down on his bed, not caring about its dampness.
“Not my fault?” You turned around, noticing the way Nathan’s shirt hung off him, his loose sweatpants on his hips. “I…” You shook your head, swallowing, “If I hadn’t been so—so incompetent we wouldn’t have been there so late, and it wouldn’t have been so dark when we got back to the car. The rain wouldn’t have been so heavy. You wouldn’t have lost all of the other photos… I wouldn’t have to haul up in your room.” You wiped your forehead and suddenly felt the pressure of the day well up inside. “I’ve been an annoyance all day.”
Nathan, who’d been watching you while you made your spiel with some kind of curiosity, only shook his head. The strands of his hair that always fell loose over his forehead resumed their place again, making his hair look like a mess. “You haven’t been an annoyance, Y/N.” He waited for a response, but you couldn’t give him one. “I didn’t mind the rain… and… you here in my dorm room,” he paused, looking at his hands, “it’s not so bad.” Thunder rumbled off in the distance and it made him look up at you again. “Right?”
You sat down on the floor and pulled your knees up to your chest. Your hair still draped over your shoulders, wet. “It’s not so bad.”
He rummaged through a pile of stuff by the end of his bed and pulled out a dry towel. He flung it towards you, again without no warning, so you almost missed it. You began to dry your hair as much as possible with it. “Thanks,” you muttered.
The light of the moon outside cast odd shadows throughout Nathan’s room and the silence that stilled between you only complemented it. It seemed as though time stood still in his dorm room. Maybe it did. Maybe it would feel like a century had passed by the time the sun rose the next morning. You thought about getting up and bidding him goodnight. Sneak back to your own room in the dead of night. But something about his room, something about Nathan made you want to stay.
You caught Nathans eyes again and shook your head, “Why can’t you just be mad at me?”
He raised his eyebrows, “Well, that’s a first.” Nathan slowly set himself onto the floor opposite you and leant his back against his bed. A flash of lightning illuminated the room for just a moment, you saw his features bright. “Usually you get you pissed when I’m mad.”
“I do not.” You frowned, arms crossed over your chest in a huff of frustration.
He only held your eyes, all-knowing. Of course, you got mad at him when he was angry, you hated seeing him pissed off because he’d close up into himself instead of talking it out with you, or he’d go blaze it up in his room all day and stay in bed. “You do.” He stated matter-of-fact.
You frustratingly threw a hand up in defeat, “Fine! Maybe I do.” You glanced at the carpet and refused to look him in the eyes, “You never get mad at me though, even when I deserve it.” When there was silence, you met his eyes again. You watched as he said nothing, just stared at you, you couldn’t tell what he was feeling, in the dark. “Like today.”
“You want me to get mad at you?”
“I’m a shitty friend.”
He stopped himself from replying too quickly and scoffed. He shook his head and edged closer to you, “What are you on about? You’re not a shitty friend.”
“Am I even a friend?” You questioned, your heart beating faster as you said those words. You remembered back to before, back to those days when you two wouldn’t speak at all or even look each other in the eye. Sometimes it would be more than days, sometimes a week would pass. And then he’d call you up for a spontaneous photoshoot and you’d both acted as if you hadn’t just spent those weeks avoiding each other.
He sat back a little, defeated. But he kept his eyes on yours. “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” His face moved in the darkness and a strip of moonlight washed over him, you could see that he was hurt, and it surprised you. “You don’t think of me as your friend?”
“What?” You said loudly, in disbelief. “No, Nathan, no… that’s not what I meant,” you stumbled. “I meant… sometimes I don’t know if you think of me as a friend or just… some one else at school. Someone else that you meet up with occasionally to take photos of.”
He frowned, hard. Licking his lips, he tried his best to not stumble over his words, “You’re… you really don’t know, do you?” He said those words clearly, each slow, as if he was truly surprised.
But you only frowned at him, unsure of what he meant. “Of course, I don’t know. Some days you don’t even talk to me at all. I’m sorry for asking you if I’m your friend, I know it seems lame, but I need that reassurance otherwise—”
“You’re an idiot,” he said, looking at you dumbly; wide-eyed, surprised. “You really are an idiot.”
“Nathan—”
“No, you are,” he said, and crouched on his heels. He stared at you a moment. It almost felt as if that moment went on forever. You kept staring at him, even when he crawled over to you. You just watched with confusion, utterly oblivious. He stopped crawling once he was right in front of you, sat on the carpet. You were nervous at how close he was to you.
“Don’t call me an idiot,” you whispered, eyes darting nervously across his face. You were never this close to him unless he was taking a photo, which meant there was always a camera between the pair of you, so it never really felt like he was close. But now there wasn’t. You could smell the rain on him, the dampness, and the usual Nathan Smell that just came with him mixed with the leftovers of cologne that the rain didn’t wash away. You still saw droplets of water on his cheeks from his hair, the almost invisible freckles that you never saw from further away; his eyes washed in the moonlight. There was another low rumble of thunder, but it sounded significantly closer.
He shook his head slowly, “I just… thought you knew.”
“Knew?”
He smiled, soft, something you rarely ever see on Nathan’s face. “That…” He sighed for what seemed like the thousandth time, and he was nervous. You saw it in his eyes. “I… you know?” He was almost frustrated that he couldn’t just say it.
You only shook your head, slightly, but somehow, somewhere deep inside, you knew what he meant. You just couldn’t believe it to be true, until he said it. Until he said those exact words.
“I love you.” There was another flash of lightning and it lit up Nathan’s face as he said it, as he uttered those words to you. You saw, in his blue eyes, that he meant it.
Your heart hammered in your chest when you heard his words. No one had ever said they loved you before, not in this way. And from Nathan, the guy you tried your best to ignore your feelings for because you had convinced yourself that he’d never feel the same way; because he was a lonely Prescott boy whose heart was too troubled; because everyone told you that he only loved himself. But God, if you knew one thing, it was that Nathan never really loved himself.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” You said, your voice still hushed; like if you spoke too loudly this would all just fizzle away, like how a dream would disappear in the early hours of the morning.
He didn’t move away from you, but shrugged, “I just did.”
You swallowed. “I… why did you think I knew?”
“I thought it was obvious.” He glanced at the carpet, “I mean, I…” He swallowed and continued more quietly, “I feel different around you. There’s not a lot of people that I can stand, you know.” He looked at you with something new in his eyes, you weren’t sure if it was because of what you knew now or… “I always think about you, I always want to be around you.”
“But there are times when you don’t want to be around me at all…”
He stopped short, looking nervous, he ran a hand through his damp hair. “I know…” He sighed, his eyes shifted, “There are days when I can’t be around anyone. I don’t want you to see me… when things are bad.”
You reached for his hand in an instant, unexpected intimacy but comforting all the same. “Nathan…” Your hand left his and touched his face instead, “You can always be around me, even on the bad days. Especially on the bad days.”
He looked at you as if surprised by your reply, by your actions, as if it might just only be a dream. Sometimes you could never read Nathan’s emotions, he seemed to close himself off more than the average person. You knew why. You always stepped around words carefully, afraid of saying the truth because you could never pin down his reaction or how he felt. But now he was open to you, so you decided to take the risk. “You shouldn’t feel as though you have to hide from me. I care about you so much, more than you know. I’m sorry for hiding it I just… never would have thought you cared about me too.”
He edged closer to you, the distance between diminishing as he carefully pressed his lips against yours, testing the waters. You received it well and kissed him back as he leant in close. One of his hands rested on the couch behind you and the other gingerly on your neck. His fingers soft on your skin, your back pressed half into the couch and half into the carpet. You melted into each other, the desire to be this close having been built up for so long. You clung to his shirt when the kiss deepened and caught his eyes when you stopped, breathless from excitement.
“Shit,” he breathed, his face was still close to yours. “Is this… what…” He couldn’t finish his sentence, instead he kissed you again.
Your arms wrapped around his neck as you both fell closer to the floor, your back pressed into the carpet of the dorm floor as he kissed you harder, kissed you more. His hips brushed against yours as your bodies touched, and the kiss deepened. Your hand ran through his hair as Nathan’s hand touched your lower waist, as if needing to pull you even closer to him.
His hair was damp in your fingers and droplets of water fell from his face, you were both cold and hot and the same time. You shivered, and goosebumps spread across your arms, tiny hairs raising, and you weren’t sure if it was because of the cold or because of Nathan.
“Nathan,” you whispered in the dark, looking up at his face. His hair was messier, instead of the usual pulled-back style, it was all over the place, and his eyes were alight, especially as you said his name.
“Ye-yeah?” He faltered, suddenly worried if he had done something wrong.
“Just…” your voice was quiet, and you weren’t really sure why you had said his name in the first place. You stared up at him, his features softer and gentler than you’re used to. You touched the side of his face, your thumb rested on his cheek. He watched you curiously, never used to a gentle intimacy like yours.
You held his face as you kissed him again, softly and slowly, you held your lips there. He looked at you different than before when you pulled away, but it wasn’t an off look or an embarrassed look, it was something close to awe.
He settled himself beside you, lying next to you on his side. You turned to him too and he was content to just look at you. He felt a little unsure, hoping that you were all okay with this, but when you kissed him like that just before it all fizzled away and all he felt was safe and… loved. A feeling that was almost foreign to him.
“D-do you…” he licked his lips nervously, “you want to stay?”
You nodded.
Nathan got up from the carpet and tried his best to tidy his bed. He nervously pulled at the sheets and ditched dirty laundry into the overflowing basket. “I’ll sleep on the couch, you can take the bed.”
“Sorry to kick you off your bed…” you said gingerly, getting up from the floor.
His look softened as he threw a couple of cushions and an extra blanket onto the couch, “It’s fine.”
You walked towards his bed, walking by his chair tucked into the desk where you hung your clothes, and your foot kicks something across the carpet. You glanced down at the fallen object and blinked, surprised. You picked the thing up in disbelief and Nathan glanced at you from the couch.
“What’s that?”
You turned to him and held the USB up in your hand, so he could see.
He blinked, too, and then shook his head as he smiled, “It was in your back pocket all along?”
You grinned sheepishly, “Must have been…” you glanced at your jeans hung over his chair, “I completely forgot I put it in there.”
“Of course,” he teased, “but if you hadn’t, we wouldn’t have argued with each other.”
You shook your head and leant your face into your hand out of embarrassment, “Sorry…”
He only smiled, it was small and gentle and secret. A secret smile only for you. You knew what he meant by it.
You threw the USB to him and he caught it, and then you settled yourself into Nathan’s bed. You were immediately engulfed in the Nathan Smell and it was comforting. His bed was soft and comfortable, and you felt secure in his dorm.
“Night, Y/N.”
You turned to him in the dark, “Night.” You closed your eyes and listened to the quiet patter of the rain as you fell asleep.
