Quick question for those who understand the lore more than me:

Who gets to remember things in the new time? Like i know it’s probably just like the main cast but seriously Akane says here:

But I feel like on this logic Nene shouldn’t be able to remember because in this timeline she shouldn’t have any super natural connections. So why can she? And on that note why can Nene see LET ALONE touch supernaturals in this timeline?

I mean I get she’s the main character so therefore she’s kinda gotta but still it doesn’t really make much sense. Like on Akane logic because Amane doesn’t have any supernatural powers in the new tl he shouldn’t remember but he seems to??

In my opinion, this was a WAY better Halloween special than the last 1, with one of my favorite things being that they Actually used some of the outfits and Concepts from one of my favorite of aidairo's Au's, that being the Ghost hotel cafe, from the second I saw yashiro's outfit I IMMEDIATELY recognized it as from one of their old works, and I gotta say, they did an AMAZING job adapting it, like it looks like it was actually ripped from strait out from the art work itself, all the way Down the Effing color palette

another thing I loved was with how accurate everything felt, like kou being the chef of Hotel actually makes sense and could definitely feel like something I could see, due to what we know about his character, same thing goes for hanako being a vampire due to his Seductive nature, however I'm not to sure as to Why they made Tsukasa into a Ghost instead of him just being another vampire like hanako, because ya know...TWINS, That seems oddly interesting if ya ask me, hmmmmm 🤔

Okay time to address the BIG elephant in the room: The Ending. I'm sorry correct me if I'm wrong but did YASHIRO DIE!? throughout the episode she's been questioning to herself as to WHY She's here, saying that she just woke up here and has no memory as to what happened before, with her getting no answers in the process, however by the End of the episode, it's revealed as to WHY exactly she can't remember, as well as to why she's here, and it's all because she was looking for someone, with that someone turning out to be Aoi, we then get a flashback as to What REALLY happened,

with it being revealed that yashiro was on her way to a funeral, but not just any funeral, AOI"S FUNERAL, (notice the outfit she's wearing, it's a funeral gown with a vail) however due to an Unforeseen accident, yashiro ended up here, at the GHOST Hotel, and all this time she's been just trying to look for Aoi, her best friend, with them finally reuniting their spirits, as the episode comes to an end.

I don't know about you, but if that doesn't seem like foreshadowing as for what's to come next season, then i don't know What is, anyway but yeah, this was an ABSOLUTELY Amazing episode and an amazing end to this season, so far I'm really enjoying the spinoff and hope we get more of this after the release of season 2 next year, anyway yeah overall great episode, I TOTALLY can't wait for Next season ^^

You visit Muichiro at the Butterfly Mansion after his battle with Gyokko.

It seemed to take forever but finally, Shinobu had left on her nightly patrol and the other Butterfly Girls were exhausted from helping the injured Demon Slayers all day. This gave you the perfect time to slip into the room where Muichiro was staying.

You had been trying all day to sneak in and see him but were always stopped by someone who yelled about giving him space to rest. You understood that he needed rest, but didn't they understand how badly you needed to see him?

Just a peak at him being alive and breathing was all you needed to finally get some rest of your own. You hadn't slept for a second since you had heard what was going on in Swordsmith Village.

You quietly crept into the room hoping not to wake him if he was indeed asleep. To your surprise, his eyes were wide open and they immediately flashed to you once you entered the room.

You slid the door closed and came closer to the bed.

"I'm sorry did I wake you?" You asked.

"No..." He rubbed his eyes, "You came to visit me?"

"Of course, I have been trying all day to see you but Miss Kocho was a bit strict," you explained.

"I see," he said, eyes hazy. He must have been drowsy from whatever medicine he had been given but it seemed he was fighting sleep.

"You look exhausted Tokito, I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you I just... really wanted to see for myself you were alright. I was so worried. I'll let you rest now though." You said and turned to leave the room.

"No!" He said, hastily. "You didn't disturb me. I'm glad you came, will you please stay?" he said. You were taken aback by the Hashira's request and studying his expression further, something appeared to be off with him.

"You are alright aren't you?" You asked, concerned about the Hashira's downcast appearance.

"I- I remember everything now... from my past. I seem to have uncovered my memories."

"That is amazing, Tokito!" You cried out. "What do you remember? What was your past like?"

Muichiro didn't respond, instead, he turned to the other side of the bed facing away from you. A few silent moments passed. You weren't sure if you should leave or not, you began to slowly shuffle out of the room when barely above a whisper Muichiro asked, "Will you hold me?"

Concern overwhelmed you for the Hashira but you wasted no time crawling into the bed and wrapping your arm around him. You made sure to be gentle to not upset any of his injuries. Upon placing your arm around him you realized the rapid rise and fall of his chest and silent tears that damped the bed.

Mucichiro was crying. You held him a bit tighter, as tight as you felt comfortable doing with his injuries. Suddenly you felt foolish for asking about his memories. Whatever was in Muichiro's past was severe enough trauma to cause his brain to repress it. Of course, the memories he had uncovered were not pleasant ones.

"Whatever you need Tokito, I'm here for you," You said, reaching for his hand and squeezing it.

"Thank you," he mumbled, words he recently remembered how to use.

Meeting someone who doesn't exist

I saw something similar to this happening in two of my favorites stories and I was like fuck off, I'll write about it!!

I enjoyed writing this SO MUCH!!! I hope you enjoy reading it too ❤️

One day an interesting aparition started to wander around the school, no one really knows from where it came from or how long it has been here, not even the supernaturals knows about it, even the leader of the seven misteries were surprised the first time he saw you

Hanako, as the leader of the seven, has to make sure you wouldn't be here to cause problems to humans or supernaturals, so when he finally noticed you he started making his research, aproaching you in hopes to solve this peacefuly (and dragging Yashiro and Kou with him). Words more or words less, Hanako was very clear with his intention to know you better, mainly your name and your reason to be there, however he encounter a problem that he would never guess it could happen, you cannot answer his question because you don't know the answer

All of them were surprised by your answer but tried to help you remeber, is normal to ghosts to don't remember about their previous life as humans so they just assumed it was that (or wanted to believe that it was that), is more likely that they end up dragging you around the school in hopes that something, anything could bring you memories (honestly, it was more Kou and Yashiro's idea), they drag you all around the school, the classrooms, the clubs, even where the borders are but nothing was of use, you couldn't remeber anything, you couldn't even remember your name

The whole situation was not only weird but also suspicious, deciding to move forward more cautiously all of them (mostly by Hanako's hand) started to drag you with the supernaturals in hopes that they could be of help, even just an advice could be of use. When the options began to run out they opted to even try to search for your book with Tsuchigomori, but it was usless since you don't know your name; as last resource they visited the first mistery, asking their help in an attempt to know more about your past, but they couldn't help neither because you don't have a past

In a attempt to be able to solve the confusing puzzle you are, Kou had even resorted to ask Teru for his help, making him promise that he won't get violent with you (or Hanako) right away before even letting him meet you, Teru accepted only because his brother asked him and for how he talked about you he actually wanted to know you (because he wanted to make sure you weren't just hiding your intentions and be a threaten), but the moment Teru finally met you he was completely taken aback, he take a full moment to watch you closely, trying to comprehend you, but at the end his conclusion wasn't better than from the others, according with Teru you shouldn't be even here, you weren't human but you weren't a supernatural neither, you simply aren't anything, even when they can see you, talk to you and even touch you you just don't exist

No matter what they do to try to help you or find out more about you, the more they try the more strange the situation turns to be, they can't help to feel completely worry about you, specially when you don't seem too bothered by it, yes, you may be surprised by everything and worried at first but no matter what else you find out there is always the feeling inside of you that tells you that it is okay, you don't have to afraid since this is the way it should be

At some point, and thanks to their help, you did finally was able to understand that you being here was an error, some time ago you had given up to not only your life but your complete existance, you had been completely erradicated from the world for a greatest good, something that, in your eyes, was totally worthy of the sacrifice you were doing and you don't feel any kind of regret about your decision, even if at this point you don't remember anything about it and you know you shouldn't even be there you were at peace about it

Hanako was completely confused, he didn't undestand at all, Yashiro were terrified by the posibility of you don't existing and even being an error your presence, and Kou couldn't just bring himself to even accept that fact, it was too much to process for the poor guys, and yet seeing you take this situation so naturally was even more confusing. They couldn't just undestand nor accept the fact that you shouldn't exist

How could you say that you don't exist or shouldn't be here when they can see you and touch you? You had even became their friend! All this time that all of you were trying to trying to find answers you had share a lot, you were having fun, getting all confused and worried together, and all of that wasn't a lie, you did laugh and worry with them, you talked and shared a lot with them, you can't just came and say that you shouldn't be here now

By trying to help you (and probably try to cope with the shock) Yashiro bring out the thought that since you are here then you exist! even if the world refused to aknowledge you they can see you and that is more than enough for them to know that you exist, so with that it mind Yashiro, followed by Kou and Hanako, were now determinated to give you a new life, to aknowledge your existance, and the first step to do that was giving you a name

What could Mitsuba's yorishiro be, from the most likely to least likely to me

Kou : so this is the main theory, Kou himself could become Mitsuba's yorishiro. It would make sense, since he's basically the only thing Mitsuba truly cares about, and also the only person to truly care about Mitsuba as he is right now. It would also make sense since becoming a yorishiro would probably turn him into a supernatural, and Kou has been considering to become a supernatural for a while now, but we didn't get any news on that since a few chapters. It's even possible the "way for a human to become a supernatural" Natsuhiko told him about was actually to become a yorishiro, so maybe this is all part of a plan by Natsuhiko. Why would he want Kou to become Mitsuba's yorishiro, I don't know tho – we don't have enough clues on this yet. If I had to make assumptions now, I would say it may target Teru and/or a bigger plan more than Kou himself and Kou is just being used here, but who knows really

Kou's keychain : Mitsuba's keychain was destroyed, yeah – otherwise, it would've certainly become his yorishiro. But Kou's keychain is still intact. So maybe Kou's keychain can become Mitsuba's yorishiro, since it's an object related to Kou – similar logic as for the first option, it's something Mitsuba cares about

Sousuke's mom : she was there unconscious when Natsuhiko attacked Mitsuba, and Mitsuba seemed to be curious about her. It's a possibility she will become his yorishiro, but it's less likely than Kou, because Mitsuba doesn't have any real memory of her and doesn't even consider her as his mom, but as "Sousuke's mom" since he's not the real Mitsuba. We can still note the possibility, it will depend of the events happening I guess

Nothing : it's still possible Mitsuba isn't gonna get a yorishiro and die (I hope no) but it would be more interesting for the scenario if he gets one so I don't think that's very likely, unless they go for the tragedy route and remind us how the penguin keychain would've been his yorishiro but it didn't and now it's too late

Kou's picture : this one is even less likely but I saw this theory and I think we can still note it. This is the picture the first Mitsuba took of Kou when they met. It was important to him as he said when he took it. However the actual Mitsuba doesn't care about photography so it's not very likely the picture is gonna be his yorishiro. If anything, I think it's more likely to be a hint about how Kou could become his yorishiro, since back then he took a picture of "something important to him" and Kou is the only think from his past self that stayed important.

Something else : of course it could also be something else I didn't think about, but I don't have any more real idea there, or at least not anything that makes sense to me

Kou is gonna enter his villain era, trust. We’ve seen him increasingly become more selfish through knowing Mitsuba and we know that he’s willing to go to extremes to protect him. He’s going to want to stay in a world where Mitsuba’s wish is true, he’s alive and happy. Kou pretty much has everything he wants in this au, everything we saw him desire in the Red House arc. I have a feelings he’s going to want to keep those things, though he might be brought back to reality when he realizes he loved a different Mitsuba in the original universe. That Mitsuba still needs him and he should accept that Sousuke is gone. But he’s lived a whole life with Sousuke in this universe so I’m not sure how well that will work, unless he fully gets his memories back

But I’m getting ahead of myself, I doubt that will happen immediately. I hope the Red House shows us what Teru subconsciously wants the way it did with Kou, so we get to see what the “dream” is he talked about having in that one chapter. I’m primarily concerned with the Minamotos lmao. I doubt we’ll get the full Yugi lore until the end of this arc, so for now I’m just hoping for good character development/exploration. That’s my main area of interest anyways

I tend to be excitedly nervous when new chapters come out ever since the slap scene sparked so much discourse. That truly was this fandom’s 9/11 (wait can I make that joke today??). And I know I’m gonna have to hear ppl complain no matter what, like c’mon guys, let this arc cook. Personally I really like this arc so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next

Kou been acting suspicious

Personally I think Kou is still possessed, he acts really weird all chapter and doesn’t bring up what happens to mitsuba even once. This by itself is very weird but I think the weirdest thing that happened that chapter was at the end of the last chapter we saw Kou, for better words ‘kidnapped’ and hearing voices (if it’s his memory’s or not is still unclear) buts it’s especially suspicious due to just a couple chapters ago he was possessed by what I believe to be a or the monster from the red house (the demon who took tsukasa’s soul) He also grabs nene instead of meeting up with the group that consists of his upper class men and his brother, the covers nenes mouth and drags her off to some corner claiming he has his memories back from then he acts surprised by nenes reaction which is very weird because if the roles were switch he would have had the same or relatively close reaction. He then says that he has something to show her and drags her off somewhere, when he is walking the red house seems to be confused on what’s the right reality and switches between the two or more specifically only is shown as broken when it’s Kou who walks through the house fixing itself when nene follows, Kou is ultimately unbothered by it or doesn’t even notice which is weird because mitsuba got snatched probably not even an hour ago, if he was really all there he would be on guard. The place he leads nene to is where grown Hanako is, later it’s revealed that Hanako is also possessed or even an illusion conjured up by the house. This is where I start reaching but I think it’s tsukasa himself ( more specifically baby tsukasa) who has possessed Kou, a lot of his mannerisms are mimicked and it would make sense why he was confused by nenes show of emotion. At the end of the chapter it’s hinted that tsukasa knows that the timeline has changed and still has his memories of what happened because of this I think in an attempt to ‘fix’ the timeline he reached out to the person who in other words started it all (Kou) When Teru gets rid of the ghost possessing Kou in earlier chapters what if the ghost only ceased control for a while? That would explain the voice in his head being tsukasa and maybe even the letter he was supposed to deliver being the letter tsukasa wrote to him (the reason why it’s empty is because something happened to tsukasa) It would also make sense for that being the reason he avoided Teru and his group with them being able to sense that it’s isn’t Kou in control and just going after yashiro (the other one who was invited in the original red house ark and the only one who can destroy the time keepers yorishiro) He led her to Hanako who is also possessed in maybe the hopes of forcing her to comply or even possessing her as well. In the end I believe that Kou will end up being the new ‘tsukasa’ in this universe and then the driving force to Teru (this universe is perfect to him) and nene who is having doubts because she believes that this timeline might be better for Hanako. This also leads to Teru becoming the ‘Hanako’ of the timeline which is a whole other can of worms. Sorry if this is messing I’m just theorising here 😼😼😼 but Lowkey I don’t think Kou is making it out this ark and that’s the driving force to fix it ( kinda like nene trading in her life to save Kou since in this timeline she’ll live but Kou will die) I just thought it was cool 😸😸

Tiara thinks from all the talks on how beautiful and gorgeous you are to make her older brother so deeply in love, like head over heels maybe, that he misses you every second you aren't with him or near him. Once kou had brought you over to introduce to his siblings, tiara was all over how pretty you were and ever might ask you to make her as pretty you are! Kou would be shock that its you! He has seen you but never a thought about who you were, he accepts you quick with tiara too for making their older brother so deeply in love for someone to care, enjoy and share memories with them! <3

Amane doesn't appear in the future, only in the past and shows himself as the spirit/ Flashback(?) of yashiro and it is known that he disappeared, so in my opinion, after bringing Tsukasa to this world, Amane committed suicide again, making Tsukasa his yorishiros for the second time.

Amane as a ghost/memory(?) reveals himself and proposes rituals to the students so that Tsukasa will have someone to play with, which he should do. Tsukasa is just having fun later. When Amane was a teacher the rumor was still alive after his disappearance it still happens because Amane doesn't let this rumor die in my opinion.This also helps Tsukasa exist and lead the mess into this world.

Kou only stated a fact, but his words should be taken the other way around. Tsukasa is Amane's yorishiro. Yorishiro is the most important thing/person belonging to mystery in school. Amane before this world said that no wish is valid when Tsukasa is not with him. No.1 wanted to separate him from his brother and destroy him. No wonder Amane wants to destroy this world and it would be very like him after bringing Tsukasa after the rumors to die a second time and make Tsukasa his yorishiros for the second time.

It's also possible that Amane could have regained his supernatural powers after his second death to make Tsukasa his yorishiros for the second time/or it's possible that he was always supernatural but couldn't use the powers because it just didn't work. This world is controlled by number 1 and has regained its power after another suicide.

Yui: Now that you mention it, while the two of you were fighting, all they did was watch from the side.

Subaru: Since he didn’t order them to attack me, Carla might have been somewhat in panic as well.

Subaru: Reiji always knows how to keep his head cool, so we might just have a shot at the Scarlet House.

Shuu’s over there as well. If we play our cards right, they might just shelter us.

In the church, Karl Heinz explains that this was all a test, and when Ruki asks “ok can you please stop the test now” Karl Heinz is like lmao no. show me that you can surpass me first. It might be impossible for Ruki because he’s a former human, but Karl Heinz says he approves of Ruki in a certain way, and he just needs Ruki to show that he’s capable of seeing his plan through…….or else, Karl Heinz will take Eve back.

Ruki tells Karl Heinz he owes him a debt of gratitude but he won’t be doing that. He can’t give up Yui OR turn his blade against Karl Heinz. Karl Heinz is like “awww, that’s cute, but check this out” and there’s this terrible magic sound and blood splatters across the screen and Ruki’s like “GUAAAGAGHHH” and I’m thinking “oh no did I actually get the bad end???” and Karl Heinz is like “pick up your sword, pussy” (he doesnt say that last part)

Ruki stands up, all covered in blood, and says that he probably isn’t the right person for Yui. He messed up Karl Heinz’s plans too. But he still doesn’t wanna let her go ;-; um, but he still doesn’t want to fight Karl Heinz, so Karl Heinz is like “die like a dog then” and blasts him. He tells Yui he’ll let Ruki live if she comes with him. He wrecks Ruki’s shit a third time and I imagine he is a blood stain on the floor at this point.

Yui’s about to say she’ll go with Karl Heinz, but Ruki stands up (?! what a trooper) and hugs her. He wants to stay with her to the very end ;-; He thanks her for choosing him, and Yui says there’s nothing to thank her for, she just fell in love with him, simple as that. They kiss and it tastes like Ruki’s blood.

………but again, if you’ve seen some other endings, you know where this is going, right? Kissing in the church is actually the key to leaving this place, so the whole world disappears into whiteness. They wake up in that room in Eden and all of Ruki’s injuries are gone. Karl Heinz is like lol congratulations!! Since Ruki and Yui chose each other in the face of death, they’ve proven their love is real. He’s like “Well, I really thought it would be one of my sons, but the future is full of surprises. peace!” and he disappears..,, giving me no time to strangle him

Anyway we go back to our regular lives. Kino is still a mystery. I imagine Shin acts awkward every time he sees Ruki from now on. We see a nice, familiar scene of the Mukamis being rowdy at dinnertime. Yuma suggests rukiyui should just get married already. Ruki absolutely intends to do that, so kou’s like “whoaaaaa okay this is getting steamy, let’s leave” lmao. When they’re alone, Ruki tells Yui he no longer has any doubts or hesitations about loving her. Before this, he thought he could just keep running away, but now he feels like he can stand his ground and face people like Karl Heinz, and defend the fact that he loves her.

Ruki kept Yui to himself even though he didn’t have the qualities to become Adam, and that’s basically betraying Karl Heinz. He’d rather run away with her than face this fact. Karl Heinz lets him run and he’s like “fine, run forever. you can stay here till you make a new choice.”

While they’re running, Yui wakes up in the church again. She’s right back where she started, and Reiji, Kou, Laito, and Ayato are there too. oh my god did I just get timelooped???? tell me I got timelooped

Yui basically plays the general prologue again and chooses the Orange house in hopes of meeting Ruki. He’s there, but he doesn’t remember her anymore!! we totally got timelooped!!! fuck!!!!

Back in Eden, Karl Heinz is talking to himself and he says he’ll rewind this story as many times as it takes for Ruki to figure his shit out. But we gotta do this quick, because the soul can only handle so many repetitions before it breaks down.

Ruki (memoryless) stabs Yuma in the heart and kills him, then the shock gives him his memory back and he freaks out. Yui wakes up in the church AGAIN. The church bells ring AGAIN. She STARTS OVER.

And so it repeats over and over. Sometimes they make progress, sometimes Ruki kills his brothers, sometimes Yui dies. Ruki starts having dreams about past iterations; nightmares where he stabs Yuma’s heart and cuts Kou and Azusa to pieces. His hands feel like they’ve really done it. She tells him it’s all a bad dream and hugs him, but he says “This time you’ll be killed. I don’t know how, but I can see it.” Then he’ll take his sword and kill himself too.

Yui screams no, it’s just a bad dream!! And she hopes she wakes up soon ;-;;;;;

Chapter Selection

“I wanna keep her in my room, Big Brother.”

“No. She was plotting against us with the servant fox. They shall stay in the dungeon.”

“Shin! You can’t let Yuri-Yuri and I rot here! Ruki will be so mad!”

“Shut up! Why did you mess with us!?”

“I’m your girlfriend! You can’t keep me here!”

 “Thou should have thought before thine actions, Chipmunk!”

“I was willing to allow thee to stay for Shin. But I see my misprision now. Be grateful yond thou are still alive, insolent woman.”

Such a weird dream. Who was a chipmunk anyway? Yuriko’s temples were throbbing and her back aching. Why was their bed so hard today? She turned onto her side and a groan vibrated out of her.

“Yuri-Yuri… I’m sorry. This is all my fault…” A hand stroked Yuriko’s hair as a wavering voice swam into her ear.

“Eli… chan…?” Yuriko forced her eyes open. Everything was blurry.

“Here… Take your glasses. I pulled them off when Carla brought you here and you were unconscious.” Elizabeth handed Yuriko’s glasses over, and as the Kitsune put them on, she noticed her friend was quivering all over.

“What happened? Where are we?” Sitting up, Yuriko gazed around. She distinguished dark tile walls and the dampness in the air. Her gaze stopped at the bars on one of the walls.

“...in the dungeon… of the Tsukinami mansion…” Elizabeth’s voice was but a whisper.

Yuriko gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. What on earth? Had Shin kept Elizabeth here? But the girl had said they shared his bedroom! What was going on? Yuriko tried to gather her memories. She had sneaked to the restroom to get away from Kou… and then those girls had attacked her.

The memory washed over Yuriko like cold water had been thrown on her. But… that wasn’t important now! Elizabeth hadn’t replied to Yuriko’s message. Instead, a man had appeared in the bathroom even though it was for the girls. And then… nothing…. Yuriko couldn’t recall a single memory after that.

But at least Elizabeth was with Yuriko now. Taking the zombie girl’s hands, she squeezed them. “Are you alright?”

“Are you, Yuri-Yuri? What did Carla do to you?”

Right. Carla. This was the second time Elizabeth mentioned Shin’s big brother who Yuriko had never met. She tried to think what she knew about the man. Ruki had mentioned him too… or more like warned about him.

“Yuri-Yuri?”

“Eh?” Yuriko blinked. Why was she feeling so fuzzy and out of place?

Elizabet’s eyes bored on Yuriko. “Talk to me. What did he do?”

“I… Nothing. Nothing really.” Yuriko shook her head. At least she couldn’t remember anything happening. “Or… I guess… he saved me.”

“Saved you?”

Averting her gaze, Yuriko inhaled the damp and cool dungeon air. Was she smelling mold? “Something happened at school. Kou-kun’s fans… I think they weren’t happy to see me with him.”

Stupid and ugly, the girls had said. The exact same things Yuriko had heard in her previous school — among a million other things. And this time Yuriko hadn’t even done anything to deserve it. She had only been with Kou because of what had happened at home.

Gosh, I hope Azusa-kun is feeling better already…

“Do I need to slap you? Why are you so paced out?” Elizabeth pulled her hands from Yuriko’s grasp and snatched her chin, forcing her to turn her head. “Carla didn’t save you. He came to get you because our plan was revealed. Since you were unconscious when he brought you, I thought he had hurt you. I bit him.”

Yuriko gasped. “Gosh! You didn’t!”

“Okay, I didn’t… I have a self-preservation instinct. But I wanted to!” Elizabeth sat next to Yuriko and wrapped her tiny arm around the Kitsune girl before starting to talk. She told how Shin had noticed their constant texting and finally took her phone because of it.

“Then Carla heard the fuzz and grabbed the phone from Shin.” Elizabeth sighed. “So… it’s all my fault. They figured it out… Carla threw me here, and then they went to get you.”

Yuriko squinted her eyes and pressed her lips together for a moment. “I didn’t see Shin though…”

“He came back after Carla had already put you in this cell too…” Elizabeth met Yuriko’s eyes. This time there was no glimmering, only dimness. “Maybe Shin was looking for you elsewhere or something. I really don’t know. Right now, he isn’t telling me anything.”

Sighs vibrated out of the girls at the same pace. Yuriko lifted her feet on the edge of the hard bed they were sitting on. She landed her chin on her knees and hugged her legs while Elizabeth stroked her arm.

“None of this is your fault, Eli-chan.” Yuriko sighed again. Slowly, the reality started to sink in. Of course, this had happened. If the Tsukinamis had made some kind of master plan, they wouldn’t let two high school girls stop them. Ruki had been right all along. Yuriko should have listened to him and not meddled with the Founders.

“Oh gosh, Ruki!” Yuriko shot her head up and released a whine. “He will be so mad at me. He doesn’t even know I’m here! Where is my phone?!”

Rustling around, Yuriko tried to locate the phone from the pockets of her cardigan and skirt but there was nothing and her school bag was nowhere to be found. “Where are all my things?”

“Carla must have taken them… You only had your clothes when you came in…” Elizabeth looked at Yuriko. ��We don’t have anything here. Only that chamber pot and this bed…”

Yuriko’s eyes glued to the pot. No way! “We… we… really are prisoners?”

Elizabeth nodded, and something cold slithered down Yuriko’s spine. No! This couldn’t be happening! Not after she had escaped her relatives and started her life with Ruki for real. She couldn’t stay here. Not in this terrible place! “We must get out!”

“Ye are not to wander anywhere.” A tall man walked toward the bars. This time, Yuriko was able to see him clearly. She couldn’t help but notice his golden eyes that reminded her a little bit of Kitsune’s amber-yellow gazes, but the long silverish hair with a tint of pink made Yuriko think about Karlheinz. Yet, it was clear that this man was someone else.

“Carla!” Elizabeth jumped to her feet and hurried toward the bars, wrapping her fingers around them. “You must let us out! I haven’t eaten for a while and…”

Shin’s brother? Yuriko swallowed. The air was stinking of anger. Not the hot type, but cold and dangerous that made every hair in Yuriko’s body shoot up.

“That…” Carla roamed closer and glared down at Elizabeth. “...thou should have thought before acting against me. I do not care if thou take a bite of the servant fox.”

“I can’t eat Yuri-Yuri! She’s my friend.”

Gaping, Yuriko glanced at Elizabeth. The girl was a zombie. The fact Yuriko didn’t often think about since it didn’t matter to her. But if Elizabeth didn’t get meat regularly, it meant her zombie instincts would kick in… and right now there was nothing else than Yuriko in the cell with the girl. If Elizabeth attacked her, she couldn’t do a thing. There was no way she would use her fire against her friend.

But… would the fire work on a Founder? Yuriko peeked at Carla. She remembered how unbothered Karlheinz had been with her flames, but the man was the Vampire king. Founders were different species, so perhaps…

“Thou, servant fox. Come here.” Carla laid his eyes on Yuriko.

Well… there was only one way to find out. But first, Yuriko should make sure Elizabeth and her could get out of the dungeon. It was no use to burn everything down if they would remain locked in without their phones.

Slowly, Yuriko slipped her feet back on the floor and moved closer to the bars. Her insides quivered with every step, but she didn’t stop until she reached the door of the cell. She had fought the Yako together with Yuuto and escaped the village with help from Ruki and Shin. She had even tried to burn the Vampire king. What was this compared to all that?

Still, the shivers didn’t stop. There was something ancient in Carla, even more than in Karlheinz. How could he and Shin be so different? The latter had always treated Yuriko decently, but Carla looked at her as if she was trash on the floor… or even less. As if he could crush her with his pinky finger.

Probably Carla was capable of doing that… Yuriko tried to stiffen her body and not to swallow as the man’s gaze bore into her.

“Thou are coming with me.”

Before Yuriko even had time to say anything, Carla pulled the door open and hauled her out of the cell. Elizabeth was left behind, screaming, while Carla dragged Yuriko upstairs and didn’t care how she stumbled with every step. She tried to get a peek at her surroundings, but her head felt too clouded and light. Her stomach grumbled and her legs kept shaking.

Carla tossed Yuriko into a living room with fancy furniture and a thick carpet that would have caressed the bases of her feet if she wasn’t wearing her shoes like an ignorant idiot. But she hadn’t known that Carla would bring her out of the dungeon.

“Sit.” Carla pointed out a couch.

Yuriko didn’t question the order. Instead, she slipped on the seating and sighed, feeling a bit steadier than standing.

“Hmm, obedient at least.” Carla took the opposite couch and crossed his right foot over the left, lacing his fingers together on his knee. Not even once did his gaze move away from Yuriko. “Like a servant fox should be. Do tell me how did thou escape and why are thou trying to stop me.”

“I… I… Why are you calling me that…? A servant fox?” Yuriko asked, hoping that the question would distract the man enough. Even she knew it would be futile to explain that Carla couldn’t do anything to Yui. If the Vampires weren’t listening to reasoning, this man surely wouldn’t be any different.

“I am barely referring thee by the role that was given thy kind ages ago. Thou ought to know this.” Carla leaned in and set his hand on a book that was lying on the table.

As Yuriko glanced at the tome, she gasped. The Founder book she had taken from the secret library! It had been in her school bag… So, did that mean that Carla had gone through her things?

“What is thy goal? The Yako ought not to rebel like this.” Carla’s tone stayed as cold as his gaze. He was like Ruki before the storm… but never had Ruki sent such chills down Yuriko’s spine. Not in this way. There was nothing pleasantly exciting in this moment, for it was pure horror.

“I… I… was not raised by them… and the book… I got it by a mere accident. I’m sorry!” Yuriko squirmed in place. A droplet of cold sweat meandered along her spine.

“Hmm? A runaway? There has been quite a few while we…” Carla tapped his bottom lip with his index finger. “...and that would explain the reek…” Suddenly, a smile curled on his lips, but it did not reach his eyes. “Perhaps I ought to give thee back to them. Thou stole my book. It would be a fitting punishment.”

“Please don’t!” Yuriko darted on her feet so fast her head started to spin. She staggered, seeing stars. But she couldn’t go back. She had promised herself to Ruki; she would not marry a strange Yako, there was no way…

“Thou are not getting anywhere even if thou tried.” Carla chuckled, getting onto his feet. With only two steps, he was standing right next to Yuriko. Rough fingers snatched her chin, clenching it as he lifted her face. “Why are thou so eager to protect Komori Yui, thief?”

Yuriko grabbed Carla’s wrist, wriggling in his clutch. “She’s innocent! She doesn’t deserve any harm!”

Carla moved his hand on Yuriko’s neck and hoisted his arm so much that Yuriko was now dangling in his grasp, supported only by his grip and her toes. As he squeezed his digits harder, it was getting difficult to breathe. “I only care about her value.” Carla’s face came closer until the tip of his nose touched Yuriko’s neck.

Tensing all over, Yuriko wailed. “Please! No!”

Carla inhaled deeply, then coughed. “Hmph. What are thou even pleading?”

“Don’t bite me! No one can do that!” Plump tears burst on Yuriko’s cheeks. Ruki was the only one who was allowed to do this. She dug her nails into Carla’s skin and cried as loudly as she could, kicking her feet even though she lost the only balance she had.

“Annoying…” Carla released his grasp, causing Yuriko to drop to the floor. Her bottom hit the carpet, yet the fall still hurt. “Thou share thy blood with the Vampires, for thou are full of their venom.” The words came out almost like drops of spit. “How low a Yako can sink. Thy kind is disgusting but it will serve thou right to be given back from where thou have run.”

“Please, I can’t go back! I’ll do anything!” Yuriko wept on the floor, crawling backward further away from Carla. If he sent her back, her grandfather would surely extract her star pearl and force her to stay with the Yako in a similar manner he had done to Yuuto before. “Just let me go back to Ruki…”

Carla stayed silent, simply watching Yuriko. He was nothing like Shin; she couldn’t detect a hint of friendliness in him. How could Elizabeth live in the same house with such a man? Wasn’t she scared all the time?

Suddenly, a cold, calculating smirk arose on Carla’s lips. “Thou shall stay, for I may have use for thee.”

Gasping for breath, Yuriko felt how tingling spread through her fingers, burning their tips. Even though her whole body was quivering, she pushed herself up and lifted her shaking hands. A cough made her tremble and hurt her neck, but she didn’t care.

“You… you will… release Eli-chan and me…” The fire flared, dashing through the living room. Carla’s eyes widened before the blue flames covered him. Yuriko held her breath but focused on keeping the fire going. She would burn this all if she must, for this man wanted nothing good for anyone.

“Stop this, servant fox. I command thee. Put the fire down.” Carla stepped through the flames.

“I… I won’t! Let us go!” Yuriko screamed as loudly as she could.

Shin appeared in the room. “Big Brother!” He grabbed Yuriko’s nape, squeezing it. “Yuriko, fire down now!”

“NO!” Yuriko squirmed, making the flames flare even more. The fox ears popped out of her head and her tail burst from under her skirt.

Carla didn’t mind the fire but walked directly to Yuriko, seizing both of her wrists. “Why are thou not obeying? Thou ought not to be able to resist a command from a Founder.”

Yuriko shrieked as Carla clenched his fingers harsher, making her bones bend. The flames died as the white pain flashed through her arms. Still holding her, Carla leaned in and sniffed her again. Shin pressed his nose into her hair too, and she couldn’t but quiver in between the two Founders, one of them she had considered her friend.

“Not a Yako?” Shin’s question was muffled by Yuriko’s hair. She sobbed and meandered, but the First Bloods didn’t let go.

“The Vampires seemed to have stolen a divine snack for themselves indeed.” Carla straightened up, gazing at Yuriko. She saw the man’s cold gaze through her tears. “Once we are done with the plan, she shall serve well by being the first of her kind I personally turn into a servant fox. Take her back to the cell.”

Releasing her wrists, Carla made a swift movement that hit Yuriko directly on her nape. Her body went limp, and she felt like falling until everything faded into darkness once more.

Since the way I chose Carla to speak might cause some confusion, I think I should tell you how I came up with it. In Japanese, Carla speaks in a rather old manner and uses words like "kisama" (you) which was polite in the more ancient times but now sounds rude. I wanted Carla to have something special in his speaking manners in English too.

After some thinking, I decided to use Shakespearean words for the pronoun you. It's a bit complex but I think the text stayed readable nevertheless.

Here is a tiny guide for it anyway:

Thou - informal, subjective

Thee - objective (you is the object in the sentence)

Thine & Thy - your/yours, thine is used before a word starting with a vowel and thy is used before a word starting with a consonant

Ye - nominative pronoun, subject in the sentence and also plural

You is for the people who are in a higher position or of the same rank as the speaker.

Thou/thee is for the people who are the rank beneath of the speaker.

Carla uses "you" for Shin but "thou/thee" for everyone else.

I wouldn't use such an experimental writing in my books but since this piece is fan fiction I allow these kinds of pleasures for myself.

Hi, I just want to say I love your work so much and was wondering if you could write a oneshot of Muichiro overhearing reader singing to themselves but they're shy about their voice so they don't really sing around people

Muichiro catches you singing.

Muichiro was out on his nightly patrol of his designated area and you were working on making a meal. You had finished your mission faster than expected so you thought you would surprise Muichiro with a fresh meal once he returned.

You were sure you had another hour or so before he showed up so you took your time to carefully prepare the food. You began to hum to yourself as you gathered ingredients.

As you began to cut and get more lost in cooking your humming turned into singing. You loved to sing but only did so when you knew you were alone. You didn't think your voice was bad, but you felt incredibly shy to share your voice with anyone.

As more time passed, you found yourself singing even louder preparing the meal. You were singing your usual comfort song, a lullaby passed down through your family. Right when you were about to get to your favorite verse a voice behind you asked, "What song is that?"

You jumped, taken by surprise, and spun around to see Muichiro right behind you. Your face flushed at realizing the Hashira had heard your singing.

"You're back early!" You stated, catching your breath from the surprise.

"Yes. What song was that?" He asked again.

"An old lullaby," You responded, still feeling embarrassed he had heard you.

"Will you please sing it again," He asked, eyes wide.

"Oh um- I don't know- my voice isn't that good and-" You mumbled making excuses but Muichiro cut you off.

"Your voice is beautiful and something about that song I vaguely remember... will you please sing it again?"

Your face flushed again at Muichiro's compliment and you found it hard to turn down his request. Muichiro hardly remembered anything from his past so you knew how much it meant to him when something started to spark his memories.

"Ok... but don't look at me-" You compromised.

"Ok," Muichiro said, covering his eyes with his hands.

A smile spread across your face at how adorable the Hashira was. He could have turned around or gone into the other room but instead chose to cover his eyes with his face. Something about his actions were oddly charming.

You began the song again as you finished preparing the meal. Muichiro stood in place with his eyes covered the entire time until the song concluded.

"I'm finished," you said, indicating he could remove his hands from his face.

You looked at the Hashira as he brought his hands down and noticed tears had formed in his eyes.

"I think my mother used to sign that to me," he said.

Diaboys (+Yui) Ideal Vacation destination •3•

•Yui grew up so sheltered, she barley saw anything in Japan X-X. So I think she should visit Mt. Fuji first, you know, get to know see the main attraction of her country. She definitely has dreams to travel the world tho.

•Shu does NOT travel. Too much effort. But if he did I think somewhere very secluded. I really like the Idea of him in Greenland, but it might bring back some traumatic memories… (the girls that get it, get it). So maybe and Icelandic Island, or somewhere in the Scottish highlands (can someone please draw Shu chilling with Nessie X-X).

•Reiji is fluid in German so I think he should visit the alps, but the Austrian ones. With all due respect I don’t think my man can handle north Germany X-X (as a German who’s das lives in north Germany, but grew up in the south. I know). I also have a headcanon, that Reiji is very good at skiing. Not sure if he can understand Austrian alp dialect (my grandmas from there so again. I know) but I believe in him

•Ayato would probably be somewhere warme. To do all the water sports and stuff. I really like the Idea of him in Mexico

•Kanato CAN’T go anywhere too warm or sunny. I think Switzerland, the mother of chocolate (let’s not talk about where chocolate is ACTUALLY from). Swiss chocolate just hits different

•Laito goes to Greece. It’s just right.

•Subaru is also not a travel man, but I like him in either the Netherlands or New Zealand. I can’t explain it just feels right

•Ruki would probably go somewhere in the Caucasus area, like turkey or Armenia (yes I know turkey isn’t actually Caucasus area, but I forgot the English word for it). Like I totally think he would explore the remains of Troy (if it really was troy) and go to archeological sights. I also like the idea of him in west Africa for the same reason.

•Yuma would go to a small village in Calabria (I hope that’s also what it’s called in English, but anyways it’s in south Italy). He would have his own little garden there and gets along great with the locals, despite not speaking a word of Italien.

•Kou has traveled the world, since yk he’s famous. So I think he’d go on a wellness retreat on a mountain in Nepal, or to live with yaks in Mongolia.

•Azusa would either go to the middle of the Saharan desert or to Siberia. No in between. I like him more in Siberia tho. Fun fact: my fathers from a little city in the very VERY west of Siberia, and I’d just think it’s cute if he went there :3 (I’ve literally never been there, even tho I’d really like to go. I just know my dad was born there)

•The Tsukinamis travel together. No other option. If it were up to Carla (which it mostly is) they take a tour around Europe. If it were up to Shin, they’d go somewhere tropical, and very much not Europe, like maybe Kongo or somewhere in South America.

•Kino goes to Korea. Again I can’t explain it, it just makes sense. I won’t specify which Korea… because he would just go to both

Kou

Because of the memories it brings back, it's hard for Kou to let himself be fully helpless— even with you, there's a sort of lingering nervousness that never fully fades. But in a way, that fear just makes it all the more arousing when you have him pinned. It's more realistic this way, he thinks, feeling his whole body tremble when his struggling gets him nowhere. You'll go back to your proper roles soon enough, but while this lasts, while you're marking him up as yours, it's fine to pretend like he really is at your mercy, this time. He still whines about how rough you are.

Kanato

While Kanato would usually prefer more of a doll-like role when it comes to being at your mercy... this sounds entertaining, as well. Kanato can't take being handled roughly, but going limp in your arms while you do as you please with his body works just fine. And even though your teeth can't properly pierce his skin, just the feeling of you sucking deep, stinging marks into his throat leaves him whining and arching into your hold. He'll be sniffling back overwhelmed tears before long, fighting the urge to move so that he can remain your perfect, pliant, oh-so-cooperative prey.

Ayato

There's something unfairly exciting about having his usual situation completely reversed. With potions (stolen from Reiji) to make his body weaker and yours stronger, for the first time, Ayato gets to experience what it's like to be pinned. When it finally sinks in that he can't fight back, feeling even the scrape of your dull teeth against his neck sends a shiver through him that's almost embarrassing. Sure, this was his idea, but it wasn't supposed to be this hot. Expect lots of squirming and protests when you bite him, even though the flush on his face betrays his enjoyment.

Multiple days he wishes he wasn’t lonely, wishes he stays in everyone’s memory, wishes to be a normal human being, wishes to be with his friends forever and ever, wishes to exist and live.

Then one day he wakes up and decides he wants to get exorcized…

LIKE IT’S SO FKING CONFUSING, why did he come to that conclusion, how did he come to that conclusion??

He couldn’t have to just woken up and chosen masochism, couldn’t have just grown suicidal over night, right???

Now he wants to die, after all of that wishes for things to be better for him, wishing to be a human and to live and exist in the near shore, have friends, ect ect ect.

SOMEBODY NEEDS TO BE PAYING TSUKASA FOR THIS SHT BRO. 😭

SERIOUSLY, AFTER ALL OF THIS TIME WHEN TSUKASA WANTED MITSUBA’S WISH TO BE GRANTED, AFTER TRYING TO MAKE HIS DREAMS COME TRUE, Mitsuba wants to throw that all away????

It does not add up.

Tsukasa tried to get Mitsuba to stay in everyone’s memory, with little specific details from Mitsuba so he had to work with what he could do ( Because he isn’t a genie ). Then Mitsuba changed it so suddenly to “I want to have friends,” so Tsukasa figured he wanted to be friends with Kou. Then that whole thing didn’t work so he made another Mitsuba, hoping his wish would come true that time, Mit2uba wished to be human, Tsukasa tried making that come true giving the whole Picture Perfect arc, BUT THEN Mitsuba 2.0 started to rethink reality because of Kou and they broke out of the fake world.

I really can’t think of any other instances where Tsukasa tried granting Mitsuba’s wish, but heck that’s a lot to even do with little to work from because even after his wish becomes more specific, he keeps changing it.

And really, the only one who sees problem with this is me, Tsukasa doesn’t care that Mitsuba keeps changing his mind, he just wants to help make his dreams come true, no matter how many desires Mitsuba has. Because he’s extremely tolerable, patient, he believes people should have whatever they desire, there are no limits ( But somehow he claims he’s only wanted one thing, only ever had one wish granted ), which is realistic giving fking Mitsuba. He knows the desires are just gonna keep coming in, and he doesn’t care, he’ll tend to them.

It’s not a problem, though, it’s realistic. Humans are gonna keep wanting, and supernatural are professionals at dreaming and wanting things ( But ones like Hanako just don’t want to admit it ). I’m really just saying that I could never have as much tolerance and patients with Mitsuba as much as Tsukasa has.

Even with Hanako/Amane. Amane as a little kid wanted to be better, he wanted to be healthy like Tsukasa so he could live a normal and untroubled life. Tsukasa granted that wish, with none of that benefitting him because he then was trapped in the Red House, only to figure out that Amane was going to die sooner than intended, at 13. Throwing away all of Tsukasa’s efforts.

But still, Tsukasa still doesn’t mind all of that, he still wants to see what Amane most desires, just like how he is with Mitsuba.

I could never, as soon as they come up with another fking wish I’m quitting my job. 💀

I wonder what Tsukasa would think and do if Mitsuba announced to him that he wanted to disappear ( Or, if that was just a thought for that moment, and he doesn’t really want that???? ). How could he make that wish come true? Make Mitsuba disappear. Canonly, Mitsuba says he doesn’t want to go down meaninglessly ( I hate him, now he’s being too specific ), wants to be exorcised my Kou ( FOR TOTAL MASOCHISTIC REASONS YOU CAN’T MAKE ME NOT BELIEVE THAT ).

But I’m really frustrated that he doesn’t come to Tsukasa for that. Tsukasa is and always will be the one to grant his wishes, Kou can’t do that as Tsukasa can ( I still love Kou don’t give me wrong, he’s trying his best ). Now, Mitsuba’s just totally closed off from Tsukasa, he doesn't want Tsukasa to figure out he has anymore wishes, he doesn’t want to give in to his desires like Tsukasa wants him too.

I don’t know, I feel like Mitsuba is just being a pVssy, he’s gone too deep in these wishes and desires, why is he stopping now? Why does he want to disappear so suddenly?? ( If anyone knows plz let me know I cannot figure him out )

Conclusion, everyone needs to appreciate Tsukasa.

( This also goes into the thought ‘what would they think if Tsukasa were to disappear?’ Would Mitsuba’s desire to let go be stronger, would he break down, would he pretend that everything’s fine, would he hide from the fact that Tsukasa wouldn’t come back, OR would he give in to all of his desires afterwards because Tsukasa wanted him to, as a type of coping mechanism??? )

Questions, questions.

I really want this whole Clock Keepers business to be over with so we can get to Tsukasa and Mitsuba ( Mitsu’s yorishiro and yorishiro Tsu ).

I swear it’s gonna be Tsumitsu in the future.
