Thinking about how Kronos really tried his hand at manipulation and ultimately failed, but also that Luke was better at it than the actual titan lord. Like, if Luke had stepped up and took the evil Destroying the World Plan into his own hands, I think it would have been more successful. First step is not talking about the failure of the gods when he takes Percy into the forest to drink soda, and not trying to kill Percy. No, instead he just briefly mentions how the gods could have probably helped Percy more on the quest, and brushes on to the next topic, letting Percy sit in that. He doesn’t go and obviously lead an army, no, he’s ‘going to college’ which means he’s not at camp as often but can pop by whenever he pleases. He can check up on Percy in the city. Percy’s still stewing, who is the friend that betrayed him? Who did the physical job of stealing the bolt for Ares? And Luke, little by little, is throwing Annabeth under the bus. Invisibility cap. Desire to be noticed. Issues with her family. Wanting her own quest. Perhaps stealing it was the only way she knew to make one appear? He collects forces in the background, talks to other campers, but it’s going to be slow going. Another blow to Annabeth lands in SoM. Hmm, she doesn’t like your brother huh? Well I think he’s great, kind, and strong, and useful? You know she was friends with Thalia right? She took her death very hard? Maybe she became bitter? Because Percy doubting Annabeth is absolutely key. Percy sees Luke on Princess Andromeda, but he’s different. ‘They did something to me, Percy! I can’t remember anything.’ Luke pretends to sacrifice himself to get Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson off of the ship. Percy sends Clarisse back to camp, convinced Luke is still alive and that they have to find him. Luke’s spent two years preparing turned demigods to be the face of Kronos’ Army, they answer his every beck and call, work for him directly, he never has to show up in person. He operates as a sympathetic but strict older sibling, turning campers left and right, smelling out the ones he can trust. Leaving Percy for six months was a gamble, but he pulls it off, Percy is even more loyal to him when he learns Luke is not in fact dead. Their reunion is filled with Luke insulting the gods, how dare they submit Percy to such a dangerous quest? Make him hold up the sky? And Percy doesn’t argue, even though he went without permission. Luke convinces him to report Nico as being a son of Hades, and the gods go berserk. Luke works quicker now that he’s ‘alive’ again. He snatches up Chris Rodriguez with barely a second glance and spends time being charming with Silena. Nico actually disappears, by the doing of Zeus, and it’s not difficult to get Percy riled up at the thought of Zeus kidnapping a ten year old. There is practically no quest of the Labyrinth, camp’s numbers are smaller than ever, and without looking for Nico it passes quickly. Luke’s careful work laying doubt of Annabeth has kept them falling for each other. Percy stays in the volcano out of principle, but the near death experience, fanned under Luke’s careful presence, makes his friendship with Annabeth practically non-existent. After congratulating Percy on releasing a monster that is seriously messing with the gods, Luke makes sure Percy feels proud on getting revenge for Nico. And by then loyalty has truly become Percy’s fatal flaw. He’d blindly follow Luke to the end of the world, so what’s wrong with being a host for a titan?

I've actually been looking to answer this!

The Internet Archive (web.archive.org) is usually a really good place to start; it contains thousands upon thousands of old web pages.

Here are a couple really good resources and ways to browse the internet's various old web archives:

Gifcities (gifcities.org) is another good place to start! It operates as a search engine for various gifs with the archives.

If you want to display the various neighborhoods of Geocities visually, then The Deleted City (deletedcity.net) is for you! It displays the many, many files and folders of the IA's Geocities archive as nested squares. (Warning: this site might be laggy for some computers)

If you just want to manually browse the old web, Restrovativland (restorativland.org) is a really good pick. This one hosts not only a Geocities archive of it's own, but also a large host of old music from MySpace.

Oocities.org, fortunecity.ws, and geocities.ws are also good archives.
