My problem comes from the normalization and celebration of paraphilic disorders on this site specifically under the disguise of disability or queer activism. A psychologist will NEVER, EVER recommend that you post about it or engage in an online community of enablers. Paraphilic disorders are not kink. Embracing paraphilic disorders is not disability activism.

You can be anti-contact and anti-enabling without being hateful or making assumptions about people who have a disorder, but people who run Para Blogs are not anti-enabling. The ProPara community has turned into a cesspool of enablers and legitimate pro-contact pedophiles who hide behind the fact that people have empathy for those with disorders they can't control. They've created a space where people brag about being pedophiles and celebrate attraction to children. This is the opposite of how the disorder is treated by professionals.

Stay away from fiction & communities that could cause you to relapse or backslide. Proshippers are not attracted to minors, our stories don't exist for pedophiles to displace their attraction onto.

The reasons paraphilic disorders are different from fetishes is because:

1. They include unwilling people or people who cannot consent, such as voyeurism or pedophilia

2. They cause the participant or others harm that is potentially lifelong

3. They prevent a person from functioning or adjusting in society

The thing about Velvet and Veneer is that they are amazing performers, but terrible singers. And they could have easily become actors, or dancers or any other type of celebrity.

I feel like people in the IWTV fandom just cannot write or even try to make an accurate description of Armand.

We know that Armand was a slave, we know that he was a CSA survivor we know that Marius groomed, beat, and lent him out to his “other friends”. We also know that Armand has this unhealthy attachment to Marius because Armand was his “favorite”. Armand was different from the others Marius bought. He gifted Armand vampirism.

We also know that because Armand suffered through this abuse and never probably healed from it, he has a shattered point of view about love. All he knows is power dynamic in his relationships. I think he’s very insecure about himself and when he loves he’s just like Lestat. They give their EVERYTHING into that relationship. They love hard and strong, they pursue, they beg, and they manipulate. The only difference is that Armand does psychological manipulation, he’s not very physical (except for when he bounced Daniel like a damn basketball. We don’t talk about it tho….)

Anyway! I think one interesting thing that I’ve seen in fanfiction and discussed is that Armand might suffer from Multiply Identity Disorder or Distinctive identity Disorder. And I find this interesting because whenever he speaks about Arun or Armando they are never ‘I’ they are always ‘them’. He detaches himself from those names, those moments in his life. He never correlates them with Armand they are all separate identities to him. I think this is an interesting topic to write in fanfiction, IF you write it correct.

Armand is a complex character, he is probably the most complex character and that’s why it’s hard to flush him out or try to narrow down a personality for him. One thing that will forever make me irate it when people make him a victim even though he doesn’t see himself as a victim.

One thing about being a victim of any abuse or serious harm is understanding that the abuse you endured was wrong, you didn’t deserve that. Armand was never taught that, he was never told he was free. He was shackled to a coven, the. Lestat, then his Coven again, then he was with Louis, and he found a form of freedom through Daniel. This is also not to bash Louis or Lestat, but to say that he shackled himself to these relationships that were never going to work out.

To conclude this little rant, stop writing Armand like he’s a continuous victim and Daniel is his white savior. Don’t do that, that’s so disingenuous to not only Armand but Daniel and Louis. Armand was a victim and an abuser, these two can be true at the same time. I just needed to say this because I cannot stand the constant debates or even fanfictions where Armand is “suffering” in his relationships and Daniel is there to be his white savior, don’t do that.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to go to reputable and honest artists when you decide to get a tattoo (or any kind of body modification really). There’s a huge process behind the creation of the piece, which involves effort and time along with the artist’s own style. Tattoos are designed to flow with the body and the area where it’s getting done. Yes you can take references, but copying the exact same design and getting it on yourself is not okay.

I know no one asked me about it, but I need to get this off my heart. I don't want you to think that I hate him, but you have to understand that I am sad. I love this club so much and it wasn't easy losing on the last matchday and now also losing Jude. One of my favorite players ever. Third captain at only 19, role model, starboy. I was completely happy for every goal, assist, video, pic from him. He loved the club so much. The fans, squad and staff loved him. If you know my blog you know that I have nothing but love left for this boy. For me he was one of the hearts of the club. Yes we knew that that transfer will happen but it's still a hard thing to see it. Yes football is still business. It's a shame that the end of this journey wasn't positive. I hope that I will get the opportunity one day to see him play at the stadium.

I am happy and very proud of him. Real is a big club and a great opportunity for such a young player like him. He is a generational talent with the world on his feet but for me (I know I am probably overthinking) there are some doubts. And just let me explain you why I am feeling a little weird about this whole situation.

First of all the 6 years contract. I don't like the way big clubs trap young players with that. Also the squad situation with seven midfielders, yes two of them are old and probably on their last season. But I am a little scared that he will be benched often or can't play on his "correct" position. He is not a player for the bench and we saw that. Jude is a person that works under pressure and that's also why he choosed going there and improve himself. But I am critical about that, only one bad game, an injury or something and he will get all the hate. Because he was very expensive, high expectations and we know the fans in Spain can be a little shit when it comes to black players. And we all know it won't be easy for his mental health as well. Speaking of injuries. He had problems with his knee for the last two seasons so it will get a problem again if they don't change anything and help him with that, what is sooo sad and I hope it won't affect him or his career that much. Yes it would be better for his knee not playing that much games, but probably not good for his mental health. You know what I mean? It's difficult and of course we don't know madrids plan with him, so we have to wait. Of course he can learn so much from the squad and the manager, that not the point. I am still curious if it isn't too much for a 19, almost 20 year old boy.

In the end of the day I want him to be happy, win trophies and awards. It's a honor for him to play there and wear Zidanes number. Although I would still preferred the 22, because it is his number and will always be. If Jude seemed happy about it and that's what matters. But yes I am still unhappy since the announcement and of course it will hurt to see him play there etc at first and maybe even for a longer time. That's also the reason why I am not really posting any pics of him at the moment. I am still supporting him because he is an amazing player and person. I mean I ordered the special bvb jersey with his name and I will wear it with pride. But I think I need some time. Time to heal from the shock of losing the meisterschaft and jude (probably even more players in the next weeks/months) to be "completely back". It's a mixture of being fucking proud and hurt at the same time.

I am so proud that he was a part of the club and he will always be in our hearts 🖤💛
