I know you said you were busy but I felt like sharing my headcannon with you, hope you don't mind.

When I started watching secret life my first idea was that all the players wear masks as a nod towards secrecy. And as the game progresses their mask either grows across their face, or starts cracking, depending on how they play the game (and how well they keep their secrets).

Anyway do with this as you wish, but I think it would be neat if Scar was the only one to not wear his mask at the start, but when the watchers insist on him becoming the villian he puts it on. (Also I think a fun 'The Maskque of the Red Death' theme would be fun considering how many kills he got)

Spring 1898

It is not yet dark outside when German Empire steps out of his study, watching as the French diplomat he had been speaking to for over an hour now walks down the hallway towards a guest chamber.

He stretches. His muscles are sore from a training session the previous day and unused to movement after he sat most of today. Germany swipes his hair from his face, tying it back in a small ponytail that he knows Luise loves.

German Empire walks through the castle, enjoying the rather cool air that is a stark contrast to the stuffiness in his office. By the time he decides to search for his family the sun has sunken significantly and the beams illuminating the hallways are more orange than yellow.

First he checks the library where Prussia usually spends his free time but it is empty. So is the room reserved for Luise's play time once she has finished her lessons for the day.

Germany is not quite as easy to worry as his husband but he can't help when it begins nagging at him as he also searches the bedrooms, garden and kitchen as well dining room.

They are nowhere to be found and something tight clenches at his chest. Germany decides that if he does not find them in the drawing room either, he will send out a search party.

His worries all fade when he pushes the door open. Fear makes way for relief and that makes way for the lingering warmth of happiness.

Prussia and Luise are laying on a couch, both asleep. Their daughter's body is curled into Prussia's and one of his arms is wrapped around her.

There is an open book laying on Prussia's chest, Luise's favourite. It is slowly slipping down and German Empire lifts it off before it can clatter to the ground and wake the two.

However, Prussia still stirs, blinking his eyes open with a small groan. He rubs his right eye, staring up at Germany in confusion before a smile breaks over his features. "Good evening, love," he murmurs, his voice slightly rough from sleep.

"Good evening," German Empire answers just as quietly and kisses Prussia in greeting.

"I thought you still had another meeting."

Germany chuckles. "I did. It just ended. When did you fall asleep?"

Prussia gently shifts Luise's head onto a pillow so he can sit up, adjusting his clothes. "Judging by the sun, maybe three?" he guesses, yawning widely.

"Seems like you needed the rest then," Germany teases as he sits down beside him, ruffling Luise's hair. She makes a soft noise in her sleep but doesn't wake up. "It's nearly six."

"Mhm, we were both tired." Prussia leans his head against Germany's shoulder, smiling wider when the latter pulls him closer.

"You know, she won't sleep through the night because of this?"

"I think, I can live with that."

the worse part is that it's become a routine every day around 6am been cleared for publication did soldiers fall tonight, how many, who and a little hope not to see the name of a relative or friend and seeing these faces, and these ages, for me, my eye is always drawn to the ages one is 35 and the rest 19-23 young adults who should be traveling the world or studying for a degree who lost their lives in a fight to protect their family and friends heroes and they deserve that we stop and don't move on they each deserve to be interested in and talked about because they were each a world, and they had family and friends and dreams and i think we're trying but there's probably a limit to how much sadness the heart can handle without trying to escape or disconnect and we're all both and both and both and both sad and in pain and cry and mourn and a few hours later we're laughing and gossiping and searching for anything to keep occupied and then again and again and again and again online and at home and at work and all these feelings have a place and it's okay because everything is not okay

13. All my planned fandom bingo squares are currently from my favorite show, Invisible (2022). This 10 episode gem (a Japanese take on The Blacklist, minus the more infuriating aspects of the American original*) that I have binged going on 4 times now has all my favorite whump tropes, plus characters that are complex and pleasantly not always genre-conforming. I would have gifed the absolute hell out of it long ago to share my favorite moments with y'all if I were any good with technology beyond "type words hit post."

I even have Kiriko’s Invisible eye tattoo!

7. I read somewhere a long time ago that switching your font to Comic Sans makes wordflow easier, and I have no idea why but it works???? Something something "cheap/non-serious" font giving your brain subconscious permission to make mistakes???? Idk... I'll switch to Georgia before I share, though.

Writing Family Web Daily: Day 18

“Yeah, it was,” Leo said, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot. “His new arms got stuck under the bridge and the glitter slime stopped working for whatever reason.”

“Glitter...slime?”

“The ointment stuff you gave me. It looked like glitter slime. And you never actually explained what it was, so that's what we called it,” Leo said with a shrug. “Why it stopped working? I don't know. Probably because I still don't know what it is.”

Splinter sighed, his eyes closing briefly before he tapped a button on the projector to turn it off.

If he didn't have everyone's attention before, he certainly did now.

���You're right,” he said. “I should have told you more about it, i should have /done/ more about this.”

Splinter looked at each of them in turn.

“I shouldn't have made you think that you had to handle this on your own. Especially as something as serious as this,” he continued. “For that, i apologize.”

Leo could only stare, trying to wrap his tired brain around the words.

Their father just apologized. to them. That was, well, that was the last thing he expected to hear when Raph dragged him in here. Judging by the awkward silence surrounding him, that was the last thing his brothers expected either.

The silence was broken a second later by Mikey darting forward and pulling the old rat into a hug.

“Aww! Thank you!” Mikey beamed, his helmet pushed askew. “I knew you worried.”
