#deltarune #asks #drawings #asgore #spade #king of spades #spade king #asgore dreemurr #spadesgore #technically #king spade #no one asked but i want to elaborate #asgore describes colours in pairs not just because it might be the only colour theory he knows #but because thats also how he generally just sees. people and their traits #as if everything needs something to compliment #hence why he feels so out of place and useless to himself when hes not married/in a relationship #the way he describes yellow and purple are a good way to describe him and toriel in undertale #royal colours that are tied to hope but they only shine when theyre constracted against the grim tragedy that shaped them #with blue and orange it kind of describes sans and papyrus especially with how their comedic timing works #like when youre alone with sans in mtt resort the tone is a LOT more somber - colder #but when papyrus is by himself hes all jumpy and shit and he hardly seems as down to earth as he does with sans around #and red and green imo are the most important in analysing asgore specifically bc his weapon is red #but his shirt colour in post pacifist and deltarune is pink - literally a softer version of the cruelty we KNOW hes capable of #he describes it as just sort of -fitting- with the greenery he surrounds himself with and i think that mostly has to do with what he WANTS #all the plants and the greenery are ALIVE but almost toxic. meanwhile someone else most prominantly associated with red is rudy #the guys whole gimmick is having a bright red nose #its like asgore surrounds himself with the colour that would compliment the person he wants #or literally wearing their colours a la him and toriel having the same shade of blue on in undertale #and spade? hes just emo. he likes black because its a lack of colour - a lack of light #the reason he works as a good parallel to asgore in this sense is because he breaks asgores dychotamy and forces his own

Y'all, I had no idea it has been over a YEAR since the last update for ScrapbookTale. But, I think it is ok because that is why I decided to not do a long form, big narrative comic! ScrapbookTale for me just is a fun way to draw Undertale characters doing slice of life things when I have the time permitted and the inspiration to do so! Though, I would like for the next part to be... not as long of a wait, in all honesty! 😅😆

This one actually took so long to complete omg. I don't know why I thought drawing so many characters (full body characters smh) with a full background would be fast to do, but I genuinely in the beginning of working on this comic thought it would be done rather quickly. 😶

Something I find deeply funny that I can't remember if I've mentioned here before or not is how frequently I see people draw uf papyrus w/ thighs. Ut Papyrus? Bones. Us Papyrus? Bones. Uf Papyrus? NOT bones.

Only the legs though. Anything that isn't covered by pants is bones. What's going on under there? Is the implication that he’s wearing pads? Thigh and ass pads? Is it sans belly logic? Like if he takes them off it's just bones under there but his magic for whatever reason makes clothes like that? Thigh aura so strong it manifests? Does he know why? Did he get them from Undyne and they're just a super stiff fabric that stretched that way from her wearing them?

Not sure if you've already seen this essay on papyru'ss fight called "Blink Motherfucker" but it's neat I think it's a nice analysis

I have! I reblogged it a long time ago to uselessly try point out Papyrus's different dust patterns which I compiled much much later into the Papyrus' battle body theory

Which I guess is funny cuz my theories don't generally have a conclusion and just "hey these are weird things I noticed, what does it mean? haha idk" but I would have to say that my latest Papyrus is Gaster theory is my greatest work, not the best written of course but I put the most work into researching it

Fun fact: I came across the first 17 in Papyrus's battle because I was going to record all his attacks and check if there were other monsters who had similar or the same, to find out where he got all of them (I didn't do what I originally set out to do but that's ok because I doubt it would give me any information I could use anyway)
