#I need a magic wand

Living in the Woods. In the summer we keep a fire break around the house, and I mow with a push mower so as to make sure not to just mow indiscriminately. Native, fire resistant plants are allowed to remain.

We are fighting several invasive plant species right now, and so the mowing is extended to keep them at bay while we figure out how to destroy them without destroying the habitats they are attacking. Ivy, Archangel, Shining Geranium, the Bedamned Buttercups...they and their friends have no place here in our part of the PNW.

We are trying not to put any more poisons into the environment, but may have to utilize some as a last resort, and are working with the Watershed Council in our preservation efforts. You will see tarps in my photos occasionally, covering what otherwise looks to be beautiful woodland. They are there to try and deal with the Shining Geranium that has exploded in our county. Look carefully and you can see some tarping on the right in the bottom photo.

The two side by side photos above that show the slide the beaver are using to come and go from the creek. The Archangel is also highly visible. I have walked up the creek, past our place and up into the Forest and the Archangel is everywhere. Crowding out the native species. I could just cry.

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in

Magical guardian Py!! This is my magical girl sona design ✨

This is the page I drew when finalizing the concept and to serve as reference, but I plan to draw this design a lot more to represent myself! The little fox there is a little magical mascot/familiar based on an imaginary friend I made when I was little kid. I got some more notes about my process below!

A few years back I made a magical girl outfit design for myself because I love magical girl stories and designs, and you can do whatever you want forever! I HIGHLY recommend that anybody who feels comfortable depicting themselves to make a sona based around something you absolutely love. It's a lot of fun!!! I think at this point this design has gone through about 4 main iterations? I expect more tweaks in the future because I always like to have a design that reflects me and currently this is what I'm really vibing with! Tweaking this took SUCH a long time to get to something I really love right now, so this really feels like a triumph. When I set out to design this, I had created a bit of a wishlist of aesthetics and other elements I wanted, and then it was a matter of balancing everything visually and making some choices to remove and heavily tweak aspects of it so it wouldn't be too cluttered or lose visual harmony. I also played around with the lengths of different parts of the outfit for visual interest.

In this design are a few nods to some magical girl designs I still really love, but in recent time I feel like there's been a bit more inspiration from european renaissance fashion seeping in because I've been dabbling into period accurate costuming! Now, it's not at ALL accurate in this design but that's not really the point; I just wanted to give the sleeves and breeches that extra poof 👌 The rest of it just just really self indulgent, like the big butterfly wing cape was an ABSOLUTE must for me. My favourite colour is featured prominently. I wanted the inner wings and bow to look like the night sky or kind of galactic so that all those sparkles would really show up and evoke stars, but the orange pinks on other elements of the outfit compliment the blue-greens and give the look and overall sunset/sunrise at twilight vibe.

the way it happened is truly everyone's worst fear, and the episode puts a spotlight on what those fears are. k trying to fix something and fucking it up massively. when she airdrops all her stuff, it didn't feel like "k's still thinking about her network etc", it felt like defeat, giving up the work she was doing as itsy for someone else, cause she's lost all confidence in her ability to fix what she was trying to fix. sam tries to help with magic, and her wand doesn't work, and she's confronted with how helpless she is without it. she hosts a show with magic in the name but when she needs it, when she calls for it, it doesn't come, and without it all she is (all she fears that she is) is just being shiny on the outside with nothing on the inside. jammer having less than a minute to feel grief and fear before he just locks in on what he needs to do, where they need to go, because jammer feels responsible for everyone he cares about so he feels responsible for this, he can't face evan's shadow because he can't fail evan again because he's already failed to be there before. and then evan! having to be rescued, being inconvenient and throwing off their mission, and then coming back with no clothes, is the worst! he's so sad about how his presence is making his friends' lives worse because k and jammer can't even look at him, he tried to help sam in whatever way he can and it just upset her, and then he socially trapped sam into assuring him she cares about him. he has to ask a magic goat a question and he doesn't know how and even though the goat ends up giving him the theoretical right answer, now it's disappointed in him because he used a cop out! very bad no good day for evan. man.

Magical Girl Golden Ballet!

Dunno why, but I had the uncontrollable urge to make a Cinderella-themed ballet magical girl. I'm a little worried I didn't go far enough/went too far with her dress, but I'm overall very happy with her.

Nevermind, I just read your info page about the Magic Items the brothers have. If it was the necklace, then you would've put it on the page.

Yup, the necklace isn't a Mark, just a magical item (although a powerful one). It used to belong to Ireland when he was a kid, but he gave it to North when he officially left the Union.

North doesn't know it yet, but that necklace he likes to fidget with is actually packed with protection spells. It's Ireland's way to indirectly keep North safe, all while keeping his distance.
