#I miss coffee

Today is: 3.75 hours of sleep, 2 panicked phone calls from my oldest (he's away at uni and there's been a *situation*), 1 cat to the vet for a dental cleaning. Debating a nap but don't want to spend my afternoon feeling groggy and half-alive.

Coffee my darling, my dearest.....I miss you.

Thinking about how I used to be obsessed with coffee but gave it up for lent and now I can’t drink a single cup of coffee without getting super sick.

And sometimes even just smelling it makes me feel sick.

I’ll drink an iced coffee from time to time but I gotta have the rest of the day free cuz I’ll feel awful after

So I started drinking coffee at around 10 years old because my grandma was drinking it, my whole family drinks coffee pretty constantly through the day and I wanted some so she gave me it. To be honest I didn’t realize it was a problem until later because it was only after a few hospital visits that I was diagnosed with pots and the caffeine apparently spiked my heart rate over the already bad version of it so I was forced to stop drinking it.

Do I miss it? Yes, constantly. Do I recognize it’s very much not good for me specifically? Also yes. Am I still sad about it? Very much so.

People who drink coffee: why did you start?

I don't drink coffee and I've never wanted to, but that's obviously ~not normal~, so I'm curious why most people do start drinking it.
