Bunnies, please spend a little time with this message, because there are things I want to talk to you about.
First of all, I'm fine. I'm so sorry for worrying so many people yesterday. Sorry if I haven't replied to your DMs yet, there are a lot of them and I need time to reply to all the bunnies.
Please do not worry. Your experiences are not worth me (don't even think about arguing about it), nothing in your life can be more important than you and your family.
Now let's talk about serious matters. I did a lot of thinking last night and it was a hard night, I won't lie. I am a very sensitive person and most of the time I accumulate emotions until they just drown me. The last few weeks have been stressful for me with work and I haven't had much time to relax or get inspired, but when things finally started to pick up, this message was the last straw. It really hurt me.
I hope situations like this don't happen again
Now, I want to talk about comfort and other things on the blog.
1. Nicknames. For all the followers of my blog there is a special nickname "bunny". This is a special nickname associated with one of my works - Pretty Flushed. This is my first popular piece, it is a unique idea and this is what makes my blog my own. From the moment I posted this, it became natural to call my followers 'bunny', as everyone who asked me questions or wrote to me personally signed themselves as 'bunny'.
Now I want to ask you - are you comfortable with this nickname? Did you feel anxious or uncomfortable when I called you that? I don't want you to feel that way, so if it bothers you, let me know and I'll stop.
2. The question of trust. As I wrote earlier, unfortunately I cannot be sure whether I am communicating with minors or not.Because the issue of age deception is very acute.
Neither Tumblr, nor Wattpad, nor YouTube, nor even Gmail can verify your age on a reliable, documented basis when you create a personal account. The only way we can find out is if the user reports it to us. And this is where the question of trust comes in. Can I trust you? Should I keep doing this? These questions are constantly on my mind. It makes me anxious and panicky. But also, how can we live in a society where you are afraid every day? My blog is a safe place for adults and conscious people, but I can't guarantee that somewhere among my 2.8k followers there aren't underage teenagers. Because I just don't know who's telling me the truth and who's not.
If any of my bunnies find out about underage accounts, please let me know so that we can make the issue public.
There is also the issue of anonymity. You can call me shameless, but I am not ashamed of my desires or thoughts, you all literally live in my head, but I know that there are people who are not ready to talk publicly about their desires and dreams, here are also people who are simply afraid to do so because someone might find out and use it against them. We all have different lives and we all have different life and social circumstances, so I understand all the people who are not ready, who are afraid or who are ashamed of their thoughts and dreams.
I will not block the possibility to talk to me anonymously and I leave it up to you. You can also DM me with your request if you don't feel comfortable with me posting the answer for everyone to see.
3. Communication. Bunnies, communication is important to me; it's true. I always want to know how you feel, if you are comfortable, and what you think of my work and of me. But unfortunately, sometimes my questions remain unanswered, and I begin to doubt if everything is going well. There is no greater fear for me than that you do not feel comfortable with me.
I don't know why, but it seems to me that many people avoid communicating with me. Some people think I'm rude or abrupt, and I don't seem to fit in with the general happy atmosphere. I am most comfortable with my bunnies. I enjoy playing with them, flirting with them, or just talking to them, and I'm very lucky to have made great friends, but I still feel isolated in a way.
It's weird; people always tell me that they've heard of me or that I have some kind of bunny fandom of my own, but I'm nothing more than a normal person. I will never lie to you and try to be better than I am. I am who I am, and I have no intention of creating a false persona in order to be loved. If I'm not right for you, don't waste your time.
I always tell you that you can come to me with all the questions in the world. I will never refuse to help you. Communication is the key to success, don't you think? I know I can be intense, and the way I communicate on the blog is unique, but that is how I see this space—without templates, labels, bias, shaming, judgement, and other things. This is a place where you can be yourself.
So let's communicate more and get to know each other better to make our lives a little easier.
I may decide to add a few more things here later, but these are the issues that concern me most at the moment.
Also, in terms of updates, the planned update for this weekend for full-length work will be postponed until next week.
Unholy hours have been on the air since the weekend.
I love and appreciate you very much, my bunnies, and I hope I have been able to share some of my thoughts with you. We will work on improving the atmosphere in our little naughty house.

hi, do you have any resource recommendations for laypeople who want to grasp the most important essentials/fundamentals of material science? any help will be very appreciated!
Great question! Unfortunately, our definitions of 'laypeople' and 'fundamentals' may vary, so if this list doesn't have what you're looking for just let me know and I'll give it another shot.
Let's start with some... let's say 'unpublished/unofficial' resources. First - this blog. Not to toot my own horn, but I've got a good collection of original posts (try the tag MyMSEPost, or this year's newest variety 2024Daily) that I hope are fairly readable to the general public - and come with links and further reading resources for each topic. However, these posts are not comprehensive. I don't think I've ever talked about what is a crystal structure, for example. [Also, I've been doing this for, wow, almost 10 years now, so... that's a fair number of posts...] I also, one upon a time, made some MSE Masterpost posts, though those are probably pretty outdated by now and I can't guarantee the links all work.
Another resource is msestudent.com. They don't have an about page, but it seems to be a more official (i.e., non-Tumblr) blog about the fundamentals. That being said, while they do have a search system, they don't seem to have a table of contents. Both of these resources will help you learn some fundamentals, but they won't tell you what the fundamentals are if you don't already know them.
Other science Tumblr blogs have come and gone over the years, but @materiallugy seems to be currently posting, and @matmake was not too long ago. Both have separate websites with resources, though I'm not sure how comprehensive.
Now for undergraduate level resources that are comprehensive. These are introductory, but I suppose they might presuppose a high-school level education (basic chemistry and physics, probably):
Online classes, such as MIT OpenCourseware, or Coursera (two examples of many). Some of these kinds of resources are free, some aren't. MIT, in particular, isn't so much a class you take online as it is the resources (and sometimes videos) of their classes.
Textbooks. I used Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction (Callister and Rethwisch), which I think is pretty common and a well respected book. Obviously it costs money, but I think it's safe to say you could go back a couple editions and save some money.
Less comprehensive but still official is the University of Cambridge's Teaching and Learning Packages. Again, this won't tell you what are the fundamentals if you don't know already know. For example, there are 78 at the moment - I wouldn't say the additive manufacturing TLP is essential to MSE, but atomic scale structure of materials is.
Additional resources:
Specifically corrosion
Online, virtual, general chemistry textbook
Online, virtual, organic chemistry textbook
Someone else's compiled list of links and resources, which may be outdated
YouTube videos from a professor of MSE (side note: I have not watched these and cannot verify their accuracy or usefulness, but the guy does teach this stuff for a living...)
Hope this helps, and everyone feel free to chime in if you have any resources of your own you use!

a negative question (those aren't fun i know) but what would you think of as some awful moments in gaming or gaming history?
I mean top of the list is Gamer Gate. Gamer Gate was, by the admission of the person who started it, his way of getting back at his ex-girlfriend. That's all it was. And it spiraled out of control into an entire hate movement that's still leaving ripples to this very day.
I am also of the opinion that most people who believed Gamer Gate was about game journalists were mislead and ultimately don't understand a lot about what they were campaigning against. The whole "ethics and lying in game journalism" largely stems from a growing series of misunderstandings and ignorance, which was largely exploited by bad actors to target women and minorities.
You cannot and will not convince me otherwise. Never ever.
That's because, in my 12 year stint writing for TSSZ, I took the job very seriously. It may not have paid much, but it did pay, and I did get a lot of valuable experience. And I watched friends in similar boats actually elevate their careers and become big, well-respected names in the games media/journalism space. Which gives me a better perspective than some folks have on what really goes on in that space.
I've talked about this at length many times over the years. About the weird adversarial relationship the press has with their fandom. And it's too big of a topic to contain in one single tumblr post, because it's many subjects, spanning decades. I cannot sum up why journalists used to (and still do) dunk on their fanbases, and why readers continue to value their opinions even in spite of that.
But I will say this: real, genuine corruption is a lot less common than you think. A lot of people get very twisted up in imaginary scenarios that simply do not exist. Most people in the press are simply trying to survive by whatever means the system allows them to. And I'd argue a lot of them are spiteful of their readers because some of you are genuinely insane and jump to these outrageous conclusions over literally nothing. Some folks don't know what an opinion means, or understand subjectivity, and treat it as a declaration of war.
Do conflicts of interest happen? Yes, absolutely. But with the way the market currently is, a lot of those things are necessary to keep media companies afloat. That's unfortunate, but it's not corruption. Not at the level you think it is.
When you see a website covered in ads for WAR OF DUTY 8: REDACTED OPS 4 and there's a prominent review for that same game, I can guarantee the person writing that review does not benefit from those ads and did not choose to put them there. All that money and all that blame goes to the corporation that owns the site. To the marketing managers and the CEO sitting at the end of the board room. That corporation may even go as far as to suggest edits to what probably starts out as a very honest review. But it is not the writer's fault. The writer has bills to pay. The writer needs to buy groceries. The writer needs to keep this job. The writer had real feelings and it was the corporation that changed the text.
And even then? The scenario I just described is rare.
You want to know what's even more rare? An indie developer sleeping with a writer for coverage of their game. A game, that, might I add, didn't even cost money. What was to gain there? Clout? You're out of your mind if you think that actually mattered.
Also? It's entertainment criticism. It is literally "Does this person like this piece of media yes or no?" This is not Watergate. It is not 9/11. Does honesty matter? Sure. But if you don't like a writer, go find a different one. There's a lot of us! But don't circle the wagons and prepare for battle, because that makes you a psychopath.
(Better yet: if you don't like a writer, start writing your own stuff! Be the change you want to see in the world and then understand how you're treated for that)
Which again just feeds into the idea that people who still believe that gamer gate was legitimate were tricked. It was a smoke screen. You were part of a hate movement. And how you react to that says a lot about you as a person and your values in this world.

Arcane-Vagabond's FAQ
Hi! Welcome to my FAQ page! Here is a list of the different questions I get asked fairly frequently or things I've had to address more than once.
✨ Can I tag you in my fics?
Did I ask to be tagged? Then no.💛
(You will be blocked if you do this anyway.)
✨ Can I make fan art of your fics?
My brother in Christ…..we will have a spring wedding.
(Just let me know/tag me/give me credit)
✨ Can I be added to your taglist?
I do not have a taglist. If you would like to be notified on when I post, follow my sideblog ( @sailoraviator-library ) and turn on post notifications. I will ignore requests asking to be put on a taglist from here on out.
✨ Do you have a posting schedule?
Not currently, no.
✨ Can I request something?
Yes! But please keep in mind that I might say no if I'm not interested or comfortable with the topic. Usually, I will send you over to an artist/writer who I think might be able to fulfill your request if I cannot.
✨ You haven't answered my ask/request/questions or updated my favorite story in a while. Why?
While I try to get to requests, sometimes the writing juice just isn't plentiful for an idea. Also, I'm a grown woman with a full time job, friends, family, and other hobbies/obligations outside of this blog. I travel for work which means at any given time, I'm sitting in a hotel room after multiple hours of driving. If I have time, I try to answer everything, but I also have (as of 7.30.24) 94 requests sitting in my inbox, with some from a couple of months ago. Please be patient.
✨ I want to write a story, but it's similar to yours. Is that okay?
Listen, my love, as long as it's not a complete ripoff of one of my stories, I really don't care what you write. You want to write about mermaids? Please do! You want to write about cursed pirates? Go ahead! The nature of AUs is that you are going to use similar tropes for the stories, and the nature of tropes is that you are going to have similarities to stories that use the same ones. There's only so many ways you can write a meet cute in a bar.
✨ Will you promote my fic?
I try to reblog fics I come across, and promote the ones from smaller authors as much as possible. However, that does not mean my blog is a billboard for you to promote your fics on. I was once a small time author, so I know how hard it can be to get your stuff out there. Shoving your work at me is a guaranteed way to get me to NOT read it and actively ignore it in the future.
✨ Why do you have so many WIPs (Works in Progress)? You know you probably won't finish all of those, right?
I do, and that's okay. That's the nature of writing fanfic, unfortunately. Not everything is going to get finished. You also have to understand that just because I haven't touched a story in a month or two doesn't mean it's been abandoned. The writing muses just haven't given me inspiration or motivation to write for it. I will make an announcement and take something off of my masterlist if I have decided to abandon it.
✨ What are some thing I can do to get my writing noticed?
Tag appropriately. I cannot tell you how many people are going to scroll past your writing if you tag a character fic with the actor (for example, tagging a Jake "Hangman" Seresin fic with Glen Powell). In fact, you are more likely to get yourself blocked versus someone reading your fic. Make use of the "Read More" feature on your fics. People are more likely to block you than read your fic if they have to scroll endlessly past your fics. People will find your fics by searching the appropriate tags. Just give it time.
✨ What are some things I should do when posting/writing?
Do NOT write real person fic. It's one thing to write about a character that doesn't exist, it's something else writing about a real life person who will suffer the consequences when people will inevitably mix reality with fiction. How would you feel if someone wrote a story about you where you did all of these things you'd never do?
Put appropriate trigger/content warnings above your fic. If you are going to write about sensitive topics, it is SO important that you warn people before they reach the story. Writing about losing a child, cancer, or sexual behavior? Tag it explicitely so people can filter it. Do not censor your warnings and do not use "angst" as a catch all. Allow people to protect themselves.
✨ I didn't like [insert fic here].
I literally don't care. Telling me you didn't like something instead of scrolling without a hateful comment makes you a loser, actually.
✨ Do you take non-fanfic related questions?
Yes!! I encourage them, actually! Never feel like you can't shoot me an ask that's not related to fanfic or fandom because I love chatting!! Even if you want to chat with me about fics, I'm more than happy to do so!
✨ Who do you write for?
Mainly Top Gun Maverick at the moment, but I might write for other fandoms in the future! I wrote reader inserts, and it’s good to note that my reader inserts are female unless otherwise stated!
This is by no means a comprehensive list, and will be updated as I get more questions!

Snippet time! Considering I almost cut this section, I'm very proud of the amount of gay yearning I managed to fit in it lol
...
She doesn’t want to put that into words, she doesn’t want to present the idea of returning to the oppressive past system. But a care for Nasuada’s safety runs through her blood now, beating with her heart, and it urges her to tell the queen her full and honest assessement of this possible danger.
Lady Nasuada stays quiet for several minutes, thinking intently over what she said. “No... we cannot stop now,” she states, relief and gratitude flushing through Trianna. “We must do what’s best for Alagaesia and its people, and this plan is that. But unfortunately, we can’t afford to hold off much longer. I intended to make a proposal to King Orrin within the week, and I mislike the thought of waiting any longer.” She uncovers a map on her desk and compares it with a parchment. “If he accepts, I think the earliest we might request our candidates to arrive would be a month later- but more likely two- to accommodate for those who must travel a long distance.”
Then she looks up and meets Trianna’s eye with an intensity that makes her heart shudder. She feels so- seen, in a way she can barely even remember anymore. “I have to put my trust in you by asking this, Trianna. In that time, do you think that you can protect me from this additional threat? I’ll have a couple other magicians I’m confident in aid your efforts. But your judgment can determine what mine cannot: do you feel that would give you time to come up with everything I could need?”
The sorceress exhales. “That’s a hard thing to judge,” she replies in quiet honesty. “I could work on ferreting out every possible danger for the rest of time and still not think of everything. We must focus on examining your wards and considering potential risks with the goal of filling any gaps that can be exploited- even if vulnerabilities technically exist if someone stumbles into the right inordinate workaround. I admit, I can never truly guarantee perfect protection.” Nasuada folds her hands and a tremor passes through Trianna, but Nasuada doesn’t spurn her. She doesn’t even glare. “But to refine your wards and bolster them against this risk... I believe two months will give us adequate time.”
Nasuada shuts her eyes and nods. “Alright. I trust you with this. I will go ahead with my negotiations with Orrin as planned.”
Trianna bows. “I will not disappoint.”
“I know you won’t,” Nasuada intones, startling her. Their eyes reconnect and something vivid strings itself tightly between them, filling the room with its pressure. Trianna feels an urgent need to voice something she doesn’t understand or have words for, so she can only stare helplessly at the precious beauty of her queen.
...
[I'll update this post with a link here when the fic is published ❤]

I'm not gonna name any names, but I have this one friend who's essentially the perfect trans girl. Voice passes, face passes, pretty much everything. Always posting about how much she loves her life and being trans.
I know I'm such a miserable piece of shit for this, but seeing that is so fucking demoralizing because there's just no conceivable way that I could ever achieve that. I'm fundamentally limited by my body and my genetics and overall it's just fucking impossible to get where she is. I wish I could love myself and my transition as much as she seems to love hers, but that's just a pipe dream ultimately. I have to actively try to be normal around her, which to be honest is almost impossible, so I tend to avoid her as much as I can especially in VCs. She probably doesn't know that and I'm never going to tell her.
I know I'm the asshole here. I should be happy watching someone else succeed like this. I'm not a crab in a bucket and I hate people who are, but goddamn is it frustrating to be in a position like this. I have to work VERY hard to even have a 50% chance of passing, if that, and it seems like people around me do it so much better. And sure, I can ignore the binary, I should be ignoring the binary, my entire life is an act of protest and I've had to acknowledge that I'm hot in more... unconventional ways. That much is true. The binary is bullshit.
Unfortunately, I'm still fundamentally bound by it internally and can't follow my own advice. I would love to just be a cis-passing trans girl but that's impossible with my natural jaw and hairline and voice and height and build and everything. I've spent months and months of wasted life being dysphoric about these things that people tend to actually enjoy in me, despite me feeling disgusting because of them for such a long time. I've wasted years being insecure about things about my appearance I can't control.
And yet it still consumes me to this day. Even though I know without a shadow of a doubt the binary is bullshit, that I should be happy with my transition because every body is beautiful in its own way, that there's no wrong way to be trans, etc. My brain cannot let go of the binary and trying desperately to achieve the impossible. I have to face it eventually. I'm an ugly fuck according to cisheteronormative beauty standards.
I'm not traditionally feminine, like, at all, and I wasn't blessed with any features that can help cover that up. At all. It'd be pointless to pursue it, because failure is guaranteed. I look older than I am, and pretty much every stranger calls me "sir". It makes me feel like it's completely pointless to even continue transitioning.
I've always felt very alienated from the trans girls that I typically see online who put a lot of stock and effort into being as feminine as possible. I've pretty much never entertained the idea because I know it's just going to make me feel worse that I can't convincingly "be a girl" enough to average passers-by. Everyone else seems to have it so easy. Meanwhile, I'm standing over here in the corner with my weird-looking features and weird-looking boobs and weird fashion sense and not fitting any description.
It doesn't seem like anyone's ever going to notice they're not talking to a man when they talk to me. Try as I might, it rarely, if ever happens. I don't feel comfortable using the women's restroom because I don't pass. I'll get yelled at or kicked out or have the police called on me for being a pervert, or something. I managed to do it approximately once at a university when the bathroom was completely empty, and even then I was panicking so hard it took me three times as long to take a piss. There's been so many times I've contemplated dropping out of society entirely just so I don't have to worry about ever being seen again by anyone. Hell, my biggest life goal is to build a house in the middle of a large plot of land so I never have to be looked at by anyone, ever.
I'm still afraid people would just say I'm an asshole and a traitor to queer people for having these feelings. It's why I just try to keep a low profile. My existence feels like it won't ever bring anything to both queer communities and the world at large and I've almost never felt welcome anywhere I've been, digital or physical. I wish I could let go of the fear and just be Me. Ivy, the goth knifemaker. Ivy, the woman. Ivy, the force for good in the world.
Those chances were lost a long time ago, erased by forces I did not create nor did I control or participate in. It's just the status quo, and I'll never break that on my own.

I saw a tag on one of your posts offhand mention that your version of OG 3 was recruited after watching their friends die. I gotta know the story (or at least the summary) behind that.
Gladly!
Because the great zapfish was stolen from Inkopolis plaza (which powers inkopolis) they had to put a limit on the number of turf war and ranked battles because without enough power the respawn points might run out mid match. This is very bad because not only does it mean that you cannot get splatted if the respawn point does not have enough power, but that if you DO get splatted it's permadeath. So during one turf war match OG 3 (which my version is named Brook) and their friend group that they've been with for quite a while decided to play a match. Because the limit on matches was a PREVENTATIVE measure, this didn't guarantee it from not happening. which is exactly what happened. After Brook got splatted she noticed the respawn point became deactivated due to lack of power. She tried to warn the rest of her friends that the respawn point had ran out of power and was off (so they could call off the match) but unfortunately this lead to her watching as the other team splatted all 3 of her distracted teammates/friends before the information sunk in. They did not respawn.
The other team was incredibly apologetic and very sorry for the entire ordeal, and Brook believed that. She didn't hold them accountable for any of it. After all, how would they have known that the respawn point's power would run out, especially during a match that was within the posted limits. After that there weren't any more matches after that to prevent anything more from occurring, but by that point it was too late for Brook. And yet Captain Cuttlefish saw this inkling crying in the plaza and decided that this inkling was the PERFECT agent material (he could easily tell them about how the octarians stole the Great zapfish and all the other zapfish, making them the cause of her friends' deaths, and weaponize those strong feelings and justice to get the great zapfish and all the other zapfish back so that nothing like this would happen ever again/ get revenge on the octarians for causing the entire respawn point mishap, etc. He.. wasn't wrong. She's a great agent. But with her friends' deaths so recent on her mind, there's bound to be a few tears As of Splatoon 3 this makes her very protective of all the other agents, not wanting anything bad happening to them (cause she feels partly responsible for her old friend's deaths for not telling them fast enough), and she wants to make sure the other agents don't die from something she could have prevented.
#splatoon#oc lore#oc stuff#ok so that was a bit more than a summary but hopefully that will suffice!

Kris CANNOT be the DR version of Chara. Here's why.
HELLO AGAIN
I just wanted to post this because it seems like people who defend this theory want to make Chara as sympathetic of a character as much as other Undertale and Deltarune characters. It's not like I don't understand where this is coming from, but I believe it misses out on key thematic points about the first fallen human that the game directly states at the end of the pacifist route.
First off, Asriel says "Frisk, you really ARE different from Chara. I don't know why I always acted like you were the same person. Maybe, the truth is... Chara wasn't really the greatest person. While, Frisk, you're the tipe of person I wish I always had."
This is a VERY important point, since it means that Chara is well, NOT the tipe of person Asriel should have always been with. That literally doesn't make much sense if you think that Chara IS Kris, because Asriel is just straight up admitting that hes shouldn't have had Kris as a sibling AT ALL. Which is weird, because in DR, KRIS is the one who is characterized as having too little time with their older brother. Even in the past, when they were a kid, they wanted to hang out with the 'big kids', only to get rejected. They even bought them burgers, on their own!
Ok, but this doesn't take into account the fact that UT Chara has been shown to be the worst version of themselves! Perhaps Kris is a reformed, different version of them?
That's a really good point, actually! Unfortunately, I have a pretty big counterevidence, which just so happens to be the same thing that made me want to make this post, which is: BALLGAME
More specifically, there is a description for the red trait, (which is, of course, Chara's main trait) that reads as follows:
"Try as you might, you will always be yourself"
What does this mean? That Kris should always be Chara, and Chara will always be Kris. Which CAN'T be the case, because of Asriel's dialogue...
Also, Chara says that everytime a number increases (including LOVE), that feeling... That's them. This ties to the red trait because Paps implies in a phone call that it's actually love. It also ties to the fact that the mirrors in the no mercy route, or the LOVE route, if you will, say: It's me, Chara. This is contrasted by the fact that in the pacifist route (or Love route), they actually say: Still just you, Frisk.
This is doubled down by the fact that Frisk's stick is useless for attacking, but VERY useful for acting sometimes, as well as having the bandage equiped secretly guarantees a chance to run away in the first turn (remember how Sans says that everytime you run, Frisk smiles?). There's also the theme of flirting and dates through the route, which has to come from Frisk, because you can flirt with Toriel. It wouldn't make sense if it was Chara's input, because they had her as a mother figure which they likely respected, given how both of them greet you with "Greetings".
All of this to say that Frisk is linked to love while Chara is linked to violence and hate. This doesn't mean one can't feel the other, but more so that they're strongly associated with one specific aspect of LOVE. This ALL culminates into the likelyhood that Chara wanted to do a no mercy route on the humans. This will be relevant later.
I would also like to mention Kris' relationship with Susie. You see, even all the way back in the new girl story, Kris seemed to weirdly care for her (with them never telling Toriel about Susie's bullying). As a matter of fact, I actually have already made a post full of evidence that Kris has a crush on her! See here!
Soo, what's the point? The fact that Susie's bullying doesn't get in the way of Kris feeling empathy towards her, unlike Chara who most likely wanted to do something similar to the no mercy route to the humans, for abusing them, of course. They blamed the ENTIRETY of mankind for the abused they endured. Now, I DO NOT KNOW what kind of abuse they endured, but their inability to move on is somdthing to be considered. After all, Chara will ALWAYS be themself, no matter what.
THIS is why I believe that Kris isn't DR Chara. If you have any piece of counter evidence, PLEASE let me know. As always, share, like and follow this account if you found me helpful in any way. Have a good day :)

2 june 1793 and 18 brumaire double standarts
Good evening, everyone. This is a very short post to explain what could be seen as an inconsistency on the part of someone who advocates against double standards. And it might be regarding two events, for which you can blame me (namely the events of 18 Brumaire and the day of June 2, 1793).
I really like Momoro and Hanriot. As you may have seen, I confess to hating Bonaparte. I condemned what he did during his coup d'état against the Directory by bringing in the military and expelling the Directory's deputies (more precisely, Murat and Leclerc did this if I'm not mistaken), and the outlawing was nonetheless justified. What he did with his colleagues Sieyès and Ducos is called high treason (and he expelled all the deputies, not just half, all of them). In my eyes, what he did cannot even be justified, as he did it for power (I know the Directory was a mess, but even if by some miracle it had performed well, Napoleon would have always been ready to commit a flagrant violation of all republics). He did it to seize power in the most unlawful manner possible with extremely dubious accomplices (to put it mildly). That's how I see Bonaparte: endless thirst for power .
In comparison, Momoro, Hanriot, and Chaumette are much more honest and act really for save the revolution ( even if there are in the hebertist Hebert that I dislike and I think I don't need to explain why) . When they acted against the Girondins by brandishing cannons against the Convention, we need to consider the context. The Girondins poorly managed the situation and endangered the revolution by proposing a war project that Hébertists like Chaumette fought against with all their might. The arrest of Hébert and Isnard's speech ignited the powder keg, not to mention the internal and external situation, while the Girondins were primarily voting for the Committee of Twelve and attempting to arrest Marat. In my opinion, if this had continued, the revolution could have ended much sooner (it sounds like Girondin bashing, but in reality, they were much more complex and not as incompetent – see the post about "In Defense of Manon Roland" here). When Isnard threatened Paris with destruction and, by extension, the sans-culottes for the umpteenth time (which surprises me because Isnard wasn't that radical since he opposed Marat's arrest, I wonder why he gave such a speech), the sans-culottes acted by demanding the arrest of the Girondins and only them. They didn't ask for the Plain to be expelled, and the Montagnards supported them. When they re-invaded the Convention, it was to demand measures that proved beneficial, such as the formation of the revolutionary army and the maximum. When Momoro wanted to attempt another insurrection, we also need to consider the context of life in Paris, which was hard. Hanriot and Chaumette were against it probably out of pragmatism because they knew that the Convention could not do anything more with the current situation and perhaps that the law of Ventose was sufficient for the moment as a guarantee (even if unfortunately this law was not applied) of the "good faith" of the Convention. Which shows that they will only intervene when they deem it necessary ( I don't deny mistakes by Hebertist by the way here one of my post https://www.tumblr.com/nesiacha/744960791081631744/the-difference-in-treatment-between-the-indulgents?source=share).
Additionally, Chaumette was elected by the Commune, yes, elected and not appointed, unlike Bonaparte. Hanriot resigned after June 11 and was re-elected by universal suffrage and would have accepted defeat if he had lost.
Some say that Hanriot, during Thermidor, like some of his colleagues who were outlawed (the Robespierre brothers, Saint-Just, Le Bas, Couthon), had a certain legalistic aspect and more scruples than Bonaparte, even though their situations were harder and less justified. It's important to note that Momoro, Chaumette, and Hanriot did not use these insurrections to seize power; that was not the goal. I saw in their insurrections more the act of forcing the Convention's hand in a situation where France was in turmoil, to take the necessary measures. On the other hand, no matter how competent the Directory might have been (in any case, it really wasn't), in my opinion, Bonaparte (and others like him) would always have waited for the opportunity to seize power with the help of an unelected armed force and take power exclusively for himself. The mindset of these Hébertists when they invaded the Convention and their goals were clearly not the same as Bonaparte's, and that's why I criticize Bonaparte more (see much more severely). But it's ironic that in many films, Hanriot and his troops are portrayed as drunkards, and that day is seen as one of the darkest for the Republic (I still put my hands on my face for the horrible demonization of Hanriot in Heffron's film) while in the 2002 film "Napoleon," for example, the coup d'état is seen as something very good.
P.S.: In any case, let's acknowledge that the Sans-Culottes still committed a very serious violation of the law by forcing the arrest of elected deputies, even if it was them or the sans-culottes in a certain way. But if they had been outlawed, no matter my great affection for them, I recognize it would have been legal for them to be executed (that Bonaparte was a bigger "bastard" does not absolve them). Even if the Convention was always ambiguous about the right of insurrection... It doesn't really help.
But don't forget this is just my interpretation . So don't hesitate to contradict me :)

*Spits out my drink*
Dark Angst stuff from this AU! As someone that loves to put angst in her OCs and even Canon Characters, I have SO many questions!
But for the sake of allowing others to ask, I will ask two!
One is a FN/FD question (It's my favorite Pixar film)
"How would each of the characters react to one of them dying!"
*Evil laughter* (Please don't actually kill them off! I love them so much! Please!)
And the other isn't too dark, more of just angst!
"How do the kids react when the adults are fighting, do they find a place to hide, find someone to seek comfort to?"
Okay! That is all for me! Loving your Elemental posts! ^^
Ooo you’re diving straight into the angst ideas with these questions, my friend. I’m gonna go ahead and make a little TW for this post, as I will be openly discussing death and trauma responses
As you may or may not know, the Pixars cannot die of old age or illness, so unfortunately that means if one of them dies it’s because they were killed, either by themselves or by someone else (overdose, car accident, or even straight up murder). Obviously I won’t actually kill any of them off (not in the main plotline at least, tehe🤭) but for the sake of your question let’s say one of them did die;
It would be hell.
Everyone experiences grief in different ways and the Pixars are no exception. Some of them would be crying beyond control, so much that they end up dehydrated from the loss of tears. Some of them would shut down, they would feel nothing and everything at the same time. They’re so heartbroken they can’t even react because they can’t process the fact they’ve lost someone so dear to them. Some of them might even react angrily, (in a scenario their loved one was purposefully killed) they would lash out and break down in ways you’d never imagine. The partner/spouse of whoever it was may never love again, however they mourn their beloved they will never be able to move on. A romantic relationship between two Pixars is sacred almost, you’re practically guaranteed a lifelong bond. If you lose that, can you ever really gain it again?
The Pixars are a tight-knit group. They might not get along 90% of the time but they would take a bullet for each other. When one of them is taken away, the others don’t know what to do. If one of them dies, the rest will feel a piece of themselves die with them. You kill just one Pixar and you’re left with a group of people who will forever feel an agonizing emptiness deep inside them.
I have explored ideas like that in the past and I will continue to do so because my angsty heart requires me to make my favorite characters suffer😁
As for your second question, the adults do their best not to fight in the kids’ presence. If they do, they definitely avoid using the kind of language and hostility that’s the norm in their arguments. However, mistakes do happen and rarely the heated disagreements among the Pixars will be witnessed by the innocent ears (this would most likely happen in a more urgent situation, where they’re all forced in close proximity to each other and therefor have to listen). The older kids, like Violet or Alberto, stay quiet and try to comfort the younger ones. It’s unpleasant to listen to, but it’s best not to step in. Little kids like Dot or Nemo might cover their ears if the yelling gets too loud and overwhelming.
Obviously Jack-Jack and Boo will start crying which could probably snap the adults out of it and make them realize they’ve taken it too far. Of course they would then apologize to the poor kids and assure them that everything’s okay💙

Curse of Strahd Ask Meme Part 9
Previous post | First post | Original post by @mandisawesome
Question 9: Did you attend dinner at Castle Ravenloft?
Sorta! As was covered in the last post, our DM @inertia-raptor decided to add in some additional flair and turned Strahd's dinner party in a full blown masquerade ball. Everyone got their own personalized invitation under their pillow (because that isn't unsettling whatsoever) and for the most part the party agreed on how to proceed. Which was not to, obviously. Like, fuck that guy; we've heard enough about him to know that we ought to stay as far away from him as possible. Easy choice.
...Except Sy's invitation included the phrase "my little songbird has told me so much about you," and Sy was therefore easily prepared to go completely by himself, because how dare this motherfucker.
Anyway that wasn't gonna fly with two lawful good characters in the party so they talked Dorian into going everyone agreed they should all help Sy make sure his kid was okay, and Ismark would stay behind in Vallaki where he would be "safe" and try not to get alcohol poisoning waiting for our return. The upside to all of this? Strahd wanted to make sure we were all dressed appropriately for the occasion, and provided plenty of fine clothing for us to look through, as well as...Sylras, who would be there to buy us any additional clothing items we needed, and would even teach the uncultured among us how to dance in the days leading up to the event before escorting us there. (Dorian helped with this as well, since he's not a backwater hick like the rest of us)
So since I didn't get to showcase exactly how fabulous everyone ended up looking for the masquerade in the last post, I decided to make that the artwork portion of this post! In order of in-game outfit reveal:
Cinaed! He sure got his invite from Strahd and thought "fantastic! I get to go to a masquerade ball in a fancy castle! This Strahd feller might just be not so bad after all!" ...Until he saw some of the things written in the other invitations and decided that maybe this would be a good chance to politely teach Strahd some manners. Either way, our boy was sorely mistaken, and actually got SO appalled by the host's terrible manners that he nearly attacked the guy...twice! (Thankfully, his friends stopped him before Strahd noticed the second time, meaning Cin only got strangled by him once)
Dorian could've easily really enjoyed a fancy ball and been the star of the evening, but in this case he spent most of the night wishing he were invisible...to the undead attending, at least. He probably wished his party paid a bit more attention to his presence that night (especially a certain someone), but instead he kept having to shake off a couple of very insistent vampire ladies keen on dragging him away from the ballroom. They were so insistent that at one point he had to be supervised for a while after one of them landed a successful charm spell on him. Poor guy did not feel very dignified after it wore off.
Alasdair really thought he could just go to the masquerade wearing his religious vestments. Like a cleric of Kelemvor could really just show up to a ballroom half full of undead and it would be fine somehow. Bless his heart though, he was dedicated to helping Sy find Joshua, and managed to open up enough to try on some more frivolous clothing...even if they ended up being heavily influenced by his very unique tastes. Unfortunately, those tastes were very much appreciated by the Count, and Al was the first to fall victim to getting special attention from Strahd that evening...
I cannot tell you how wonderfully entertaining it was during the sessions leading up to the masquerade arc to listen to the other players react, both in and out of character, to Sy procuring the different pieces of his outfit. It was seriously SO great and if it weren't for the beautiful way our party dynamic had started out, which pretty much guaranteed that Sy would behave closed off and distrusting to everyone, it wouldn't have been nearly as satisfying. The reveal was even better--not only was everything he bought incredibly camp, but he looked great as hell, and was extremely comfortable mingling with the other, potentially very dangerous guests at the ball. Sy was very motivated to find his kid, and knew he was walking into a den of vampires...to him, it seemed like a no brainer for him to sashay in there, neck exposed, and put on his best customer service voice to get as much attention (and information) as he could gather, and it honestly didn't matter to him what kind of bodily fluids he might have to part with to get what he needed.
And the best part was that from the outside, it made him look like the biggest, most selfish idiot who clearly needed rescuing, and he got in really big trouble with everyone for wandering off and letting himself be seduced and whisked away without consulting the party, and for setting aside looking for his own son just to get laid, and for being so gullible that he could've easily fallen victim to a vampire, etc. It was beautiful, honestly. I don't think I could have asked for a better response lmao.
Of course, the evening wouldn't have been complete without the NPCs wonderfully played by @inertia-raptor. I didn't draw everyone we ran into, but here are how Strahd, Sylras, and Joshua were dressed for the event:
(Please forgive Sylras. They still had no say in what they had to wear. Not that they could tell that there was anything unsettling about it, but still.)

PSA: updates on KOKIAfans
Hello everyone, this is the KOKIAfans admin.
As you might have noticed, I’ve gotten behind on properly updating this blog, most noticeably in translating KOKIA’s blog and news entries. Unfortunately, the cause for this is not something that will resolve itself on the short term, so I need to prioritize some things.
I have no intention of abandoning this blog or putting it on hiatus, but I do need to pick and choose what to cover for the moment.
So, below follows an overview of the KOKIA website updates I haven’t yet translated. I’ll either fill you in on what you missed or explain what I’ll cover in the future.
I hope this works for now to get rid of most of the backlog. My sincere apologies and thank you very much for your patience!
And hey, don’t forget July 22! ;)
Blog entries
June 29, 2023 (1) - this blog entry is very short and promotes KOKIA’s new single, Shiroi Notebook (’white notebook’). I have covered this, so I won’t translate the entry anymore.
June 29, 2023 (2) - this blog entry is also very short and promotes the July 22 stream of her 25th anniversary concert. I’ve also covered this, so I won’t translate the entry anymore. Side note: KOKIA links to her Instagram for extra concert photos.
July 7, 2023 - another short entry. KOKIA announces the premiere of the trailer for said stream, which debuted on July 8 on YouTube. I’ve also already covered that here and won’t translate the entry anymore.
July 8, 2023 (1) - yet another short entry I won’t be translating, as it’s just a notification that the mail magazine for club ancoro members has been sent out and can be viewed on the members only page on her website. The application deadline has by now expired (July 14).
July 8, 2023 (2) - this entry promotes the creational document for her single Shiroi Notebook on Audio Renaissance (see below). I might translate this entry in combination with the document, but that’s the gist of it.
Future blog entries - this entirely depends on the length and contents. If it’s any time sensitive news, I’ll at least make sure to update you on the information itself. Full translations might still pop up soon, but I cannot guarantee a consistent speed for those.
Other
News entry June 27, 2023 (1) - This entry goes into depth about the single Shiroi Notebook. I do plan on translating this along with the Audio Renaissance page, but this will take a while.
News entry June 27, 2023 (2) - this entry covers KOKIA’s upcoming photo exhibition in Tokyo from September 30 to October 8. I won’t translate this, as I’ve already covered the information in the June 25 blog entry translation.
News entry June 27, 2023 (3) - this entry talks about KOKIA’s August 18 performance at Billboard Live Yokohama. I’ve already covered the information here, and more entries can be found in this tag. I won’t be translating this news entry.
News entry July 8, 2023 - this entry is a single line to notify club ancoro members that the members only page has updated.
Audio Renaissance - this is a lengthy article about the making of KOKIA’s new single Shiroi Notebook. I do want to take a crack at it, but I can’t promise how soon it will happen. Since the single is already out, it’s already ‘old news’, so it won’t take absolute priority.
Lyric translations - the sideblog @kokialyrics has been on hiatus for a while, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. I am currently unable to translate more lyrics as per the most recent post on that blog.
KOKIA 25th page - this page is still under construction and needs heavy updating. I will try to get it back on track, but as it’s meant to be a retrospect in the end, I will just update this when circumstances allow without rushing it.
The future of KOKIAfans.com
As said, I do not want to call it quits any time soon, but things might slow down for a longer time than they have so far.
I use Tumblr and Twitter as my main platforms, but both of these have been implementing updates that make it harder for non-members to find the information. As far as I can test, the main website hosted on tumblr should still be accessible for everyone (at least on desktop, and it should also work on phones). However, asking questions without account is already no longer possible.
If worst comes to worst and Tumblr becomes members only, I will be looking into moving servers (and will possibly create my own website instead of use a blogging platform). I back up the site regularly and have ownership of the domain name, so nothing will be lost and you will still be able to find me via www.kokiafans.com (don’t forget the www!). Of course, I hope this won’t be necessary, but in case you had any concerns, I hope this eases your mind.
If you’ve read this far, thank you so very much for your support! I hope to be able to continue to deliver KOKIA news for as long as possible, even if it won’t be in the usual shape or form for a while.

As an amateur seamster myself I couldn't agree more!
Here are some things I have found invaluable myself:
● vintage/old sewing books. Cannot stress how useful these are - alot of these books are wonderfully illustrated and are normally structured with beginners in mind. I learnt how to properly set sleeves from a vintage clothing pattern book. I also find it easier to learn from a book than from YouTube. I suggest hitting up your local library, retirement home or thift store for these books.
● on retirement homes/communities! If you live close to one, go and ask if they have any sewing/knitting/quilting etc, groups. If so ask if you can join, you might get a few weird looks but I guarantee you will be welcomed with enthusiasm! The knowledge you will gain is priceless, not just for sewing but life in general. (Plus the gossip you become privy to is delightful)
● adding to previous posts point on ironing, ironing is potentially the most important part of ensuring something looks good. Even a pillow case will turn out better. Another thing to note is WHAT to iron. Aka PRESS YOUR SEAMS. even if you don't think it will do anything I promise it will!
● learn to french seam. It is not as complex as it looks but it does make stuff look very professional. This is also incredibly useful for stuff that doesn't need a lining, but you don't want exposed seams. It's a lot easier than most ways of finishing seams, except perhaps just overcasting/serging the seams.
● on EQUIPMENT! Look for second-hand sewing machines for your first machine. A lot of modern machines (whilst incredibly expensive and nice to use) are 90% plastic/ electronic. Whilst there's nothing wrong with investing in a modern machine, an old vintage machine has a few perks. Aka: a lot are solid metal and will not break easily. It's also much easier to service an old machine yourself (an invaluable skill that will make your life easier). Old machines are also more intuitive to use and are all round a lot cheaper to buy than a new machine. Just make sure you can test out a machine before buying, just in case. The main downside to old machines is spare parts not being made anymore. So if something is broken, it might not be easy to replace. Unfortunately, old machines do require a lot more general maintenance, aka cleaning and oiling, so weigh the pros and cons before buying a machine.
● with machines, another thing to note is the different sewing feet. Learning the different feet and what/how they are used for is intimidating but can have such positive results. Learning how to use a zipper foot properly is daunting but god damn is it satisfying to use.
● finally! Pillowcases are the easiest and most useful beginner project. Get yourself some fun fabric and go to town! Also great for people who go big on decorative/seasonal pillows. If you want to go into quilting this is still the perfect beginner project.
All in all, have fun and happy sewing!!
Things I wish I had read in "beginner" sewing tutorials/people had told me before I started getting into sewing
You have to hem *everything* eventually. Hemming isn't optional. (If you don't hem your cloth, it will start to fray. There are exceptions to this, like felt, but most cloth will.)
The type of cloth you choose for your project matters very much. Your clothing won't "fall right" if it's not the kind of stretchy/heavy/stiff as the one the tutorial assumes you will use.
Some types of cloth are very chill about fraying, some are very much not. Linen doesn't really give a fuck as long as you don't, like, throw it into the washing machine unhemmed (see below), whereas brocade yearns for entropy so, so much.
On that note: if you get new cloth: 1. hem its borders (or use a ripple stitch) 2. throw it in the washing machine on the setting that you plan to wash it going forward 3. iron it. You'll regret it, if you don't do it. If you don't hem, it'll thread. If you don't wash beforehand, the finished piece might warp in the first wash. If you don't iron it, it won't be nice and flat and all of your measuring and sewing will be off.
Sewing's first virtue is diligence, followed closely by patience. Measure three times before cutting. Check the symmetry every once in a while. If you can't concentrate anymore, stop. Yes, even if you're almost done.
The order in which you sew your garment's parts matters very much. Stick to the plan, but think ahead.
You'll probably be fine if you sew something on wrong - you can undo it with a seam ripper (get a seam ripper, they're cheap!)
You can use chalk to draw and write on the cloth.
Pick something made out of rectangles for your first project.
I recommend making something out of linen as a beginner project. It's nearly indestructible, barely threads and folds very neatly.
Collars are going to suck.
The sewing machine can't hurt you (probably). There is a guard for a reason and while the needle is very scary at first, if you do it right, your hands will be away from it at least 5 cm at any given time. Also the spoils of learning machine sewing are not to be underestimated. You will be SO fast.
I believe that's all - feel free to add unto it.

Student Accommodation and How to Talk to Your Housemates About Keeping the Kitchen Clean
Before we begin, please allow me to congratulate you on successfully getting yourself a place at Warwick, I sincerely hope that your time here will be an enjoyable one! Like the rest of this blog, this post is designed to hopefully give you some advice that will help make the daunting process of beginning your life at Warwick go as smoothly as possible. Specifically, we’re talking about living in student accommodation.
Depending on when you read this post, you might not know which accommodation you will be living in for the duration of your stay at Warwick. Don’t worry! Assuming you are all set to live in student halls, this advice should be general enough to still apply whether you end up living in Rootes or in Bluebell. This is because, regardless of the number of housemates you end up with or the size of your bedroom, you’re guaranteed to be sharing a kitchen!
Your kitchen is an important place, not only is it where you’ll be making all of your food, it is also a shared social space. If you want somewhere to hang out with friends or do some work without having to stay cooped up in your room or trek all the way down to the library – your kitchen is the place to be! So, you’ll want to keep the space as clean and tidy as possible so spending time in it is pleasant for everybody.
You may think that doesn’t sound too difficult. After all, you’re all adults, how hard could it really be to communicate?
Unfortunately, it can sometimes be very difficult thanks to a linguistic concept known as pragmatic failure. Pragmatic failure occurs when you say something that ‘comes across wrong’ – a statement can be perfect in terms of its structure and pronunciation but if it carries implications you didn’t intend then it is still a pragmatic failure. Additionally, pragmatic failure can have more of a social consequence than some other forms of linguistic failure as people tend to assume you’re being impolite rather than just making a mistake!
As you will be entering Warwick with a different cultural perspective to the UK-based students, it is important that you are aware this is a pitfall you might fall into. Especially when it is a well-known fact within linguistics that you cannot often directly translate the conventions of one language to another without subtle changes in the implications of what you are saying. However, this works both ways and it’s just as possible that you will misinterpret something your housemate is saying to you as they will misunderstand something you’re saying to them!
So how do you avoid pragmatic failure and keep the peace with your new housemates? While I can’t guarantee you won’t have any pragmatics-based miscommunications, I can at least give you advice about to navigate requests and apologies.
Requests: Generally, there are three ways you can ask someone to do something for you. The first and most obvious of these is a direct request like “Please tidy the kitchen when you’ve finished cooking.’ These are easy to interpret and leave no real room to misunderstand what is being asked of you.
The second is what is known as a conventionally indirect request like ‘can you tidy up once you’re done cooking?’ If we were to take this request completely literally and answer ‘yes’, it wouldn’t be a commitment to clean the kitchen, it would be a confirmation that you are capable of doing so. However, your housemate almost definitely isn’t asking you about your cleaning ability. Their intent here is the same as in the direct request – to get you to clean the kitchen – only they are asking you ‘more politely’.
The third and perhaps most confusing type of request is a hint like ‘oh, the kitchen is a bit of a mess, isn’t it?’ Again, if we take this literally and respond with a ‘yes’ does nothing more than confirm we agree with your housemate’s assessment. However, they’re probably not actually asking you for your opinion, they’re asking you to clean.
Unfortunately, research has found that, in English, the two indirect (and arguably more confusing) approaches to making requests are considered politer! In one study, (which you can find here, if you’re interested https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1515/iprg.2011.018/html?lang=en&srsltid=AfmBOoqRPySHNRbI40fAziqd4-x-YjBc3NpQ-Gr6JCgGZn6aoLFz9Nxf) it was found that conventionally indirect requests (referred to as ‘Query Preparatory’ on page 390) were considered the politest of all request strategies they tested, followed by hints!
The lessons you can take from this are two-fold. Firstly, be prepared that your housemates are unlikely to ask you to do something in a particularly direct manner. If they begin a statement about cleaning the kitchen with ‘can you?’ or ‘could you?’ they’re probably asking you to clean up some mess. Secondly, if you need to request your housemates clean up after themselves, it will probably go down a lot more smoothly if you also adopt a more indirect approach, otherwise they might see you as being a bit demanding.
Apologies: Despite your best efforts, you’re probably going to do something that will irritate your housemates at some point. Whether its forgetting to take out the bins or leaving your dirty dishes on the side for just a bit too long. Here’s what research suggests is the best way to apologise to a disgruntled housemate.
Just as there are several ways to make a request, there are also several ways to apologise. According to a study (again, here’s a link if you’re curious https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1515/PR.2007.004/html?lang=en&srsltid=AfmBOoqQYrwIk2iKR89KgryNIZhLe_UAuGLldWXj-59tzxtYl9t9AXfc) the most common apology strategy used by English speakers is a combination of the phrase ‘I’m sorry’ and statement used to accept responsibility (e.g. ‘I know it was my week to take out the bins, I just forgot’). Interestingly, the same study also found that English speakers don’t tend to make promises to do better next time. So, you probably don’t need to insist that you’ll never forget to take the bin out ever again – just admit that you made a mistake this time!
*** Hopefully this brief introduction to the world of housemate politics is more reassuring than scary! Good luck putting some of your newfound knowledge about requests and apologies into practice when the time comes to move into your new accommodation. Don’t fret if you aren’t immediately a master of pragmatics and managing housemate relationships either. At least as far as the pragmatics are concerned, research suggests that the ability to interact and get involved in a culture in the way studying abroad allows is very beneficial for picking up on pragmatics (once again, a link for those who may be interested, https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0346251X14001341 (page 4). So, I have full confidence you will be absolutely fine!
Thank you for reading!
(P.S. if you’re interested in where I got my definitions of pragmatic failure and the different types of requests from, they’re in chapter 7 of this textbook: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-1-4020-5639-0 (pages 129-131))

Hi! I’ve been reading your stuff and was wondering if you did commissions? I also wanted to ask if you would ever write for Velvette or Sera? I have a huge crush on them! ❤️⭐️
Also you are super skilled at writing and I love reading your “Thoughts” post like so relatable 😭❤️
hi! first off, I am incredibly, unbelievably flattered that someone would be interested in paying for my writing, you have no idea! seriously, it still blows my mind that some gifted me a month of tumblr premium (thank you again to whoever that was!).
and as much as I would love to say yes, the main reason I don't do commissions is because between work being so draining and my mental health sometimes being on kind of a see-saw in terms of motivation, I wouldn't feel right accepting money when I cannot guarantee any kind of timeline in which I can publish a fic.
in terms of vel and sera, as much as I find them entertaining and I am super excited to see more of velvette in particular in the show, they just don't speak to me in terms of attraction. honestly, and this really surprises me, but with this ask I realized that none of the hellaverse women have really given me the romantic or sexual buzz. I feel like verosika might have, but unfortunately I've loved miraculous longer than I have helluva and every time I hear her voice, I'm like, scandalized to hear marinette swear lmao.
who knows, maybe lillith will be the one for me in season 2, or getting more content of some of the other women will do it, but until then, I'm not vibing with them the way I need to be to write for them.
but again, thank you so much for liking my writing so much! it really did make my day to read this when you sent it (and I'm sorry it took me so long to reply). if you ever have any requests for husk or blitz in the meantime, please do send them in :)
