I hate how this girl said I was her best friend.
Her best fucking friend in the whole fucking world.
Then the next I know. My simple question about her coming to a thing after class turned into an hours long argument over Snapchat because she was too much of a coward to say it in person. Or over text. A phone call. Snapchat. A place where her messages would be gone the second I saw them.
Then the way she switched between “you did nothing wrong” and. The “you did everything wrong”.
Then the. “Okay maybe I should have done a b and c.” But the phrasing and her perfectly posed self was a grab for me to immediately assure her she’s fine and did nothing wrong. I’ve seen her do it to others and explain it to me.
So I answered with a simple. “Yea. You should have.”
And so I stopped reaching out. It was always me who would reach out in the first place. So seeing that she won’t do the same and is clearly fine with her entire damned “friend group” angry with her over how she treated me? Everyone I showed her messages too said that no, I wasn’t crazy for seeing manipulation in her words. Because I was being actively manipulated through her sympathy pulls.
So. I was her best friend. But now that I told her how I felt about the crap she’s pulled, that’s five years down the drain.
Five years. Five whole years??
I meant so little to her that she would rather hang out with exclusively her boyfriend and not her actual friends, just because I’m me.
Just because I am who I am. Just because I decided I wouldn’t stand for any shit from anyone.
All because I asked if she was coming to something after school.
I hate the whole victim mentality stuff. Like. I can see. Did I say things I should not have? Oh probably, but did I say it in defense? Did I say it because I’ve been trying to live by my brutal honesty? Did I say it because I was tired of being treated like that? Did I say it because I’ve had too many awful friends?
Did I say all that because I hadn’t talked to someone who claimed to be my best friend in over a month because she wouldn’t make efforts to meet me halfway?
I spoke from a position of someone who wanted their friend back and only tried to defend themself.
Should I have told her that it’s upsetting that she never makes the effort to be around any of us anymore? I’m not sure.
But she shouldn’t have blown up on me for a simple question. She created a problem, singled herself out, then took out all her issues on me. We were best friends, as you claimed. So fucking explain why I haven’t properly seen or talked to you since the beginning of November, which was three ish weeks before this all went to hell. If we were best friends, you wouldn’t have abandoned me for a boy you’ve known for nine months now.
Nine months, verses five years. She wanted me as her maid of honor to her wedding with this guy. She wanted me to help wedding plan.
We’re still kids. I refuse to take part in that.
Especially since the last time I saw her it was in the hallway between classes. She excitedly came up to me, acting like nothing was wrong. My fight or flight kicked in and I booked it because the anxiety was so so high from an out of character moment.
But I hate myself for wondering if I want her back. I hate myself because no matter what I said the outcome would have been the same. Because no matter what I’ll do or could have done it’s always gonna be her boyfriend over me. I’m the second choice. The fallback.
Do I really want her back over the nights I’ve spent near hysterics. It’s almost five am and I’ve been up for hours anxiety ridden and thinking through so much.
Do I want her back after her manipulating me? Would I be able to look her in the eye without seeing the “I have an issue with you acting like I'm the bad person” and the “I know you do care. But I haven't heard a single fucking word until today” and the “And then you blowing up on me for not communicating. I stopped trying to communicate because when I do I barely get a response” ?
I communicated more to her than I did to anyone else. Anyone else. I dropped things I wanted to do to see her. I didn’t blow up. I only asked a simple question.
Am I horrible for asking a question, then defending myself when being accused of stuff that’s not true? Because oh man. I shouldn’t have said a word. Next time I’ll keep my silence because my words are too sharp and too true for people to handle.
#Thanks to the dissociation every time I look back on it I see it as like. An outsider almost.#Like there’s no way on earth that I lost the girl who called me her best friend like that. What happened to the girl I used to know.#The one who messed with my hair and helped me through anxiety attacks. The one who would tell me anything because she trusted me#And because she wanted my opinions and input.#It’s like. I am not a victim here and don’t want to make myself out to be one.#I made poor choices in responding so defensively.#But I didn’t deserve that.#If it happened to a friend of mine instead of me. Id rule the same.#It’s her fault. Because no matter who I put in my place. In my shoes. No matter who it is.#I’m still feeling angry for what she said. Even when I’ve derealized the situation to a point that it doesn’t feel like it happened to me.#So I can see how my irls are angry with her. While I’m just. Indifferent. Numb. And hating myself for it.

Yelp • Chapter 1 ls2
masterlist previous chapter next chapter
words: 1.5k
warnings: cursing, implied off"screen" deaths, injury/blood, implied character death
notes: this first chapter is mostly just exposition (and a little sad i know), but at the very end you get a sneak peak of the action before everything turns totally cray. (there will be more defined logan x parker in the future chapters as well.) parker is supposed to be the "reader" character. i decided to use a gender-neutral name instead of y/n because that's not my thing. she/her pronouns and feminine descriptions are used, but her gender is not a major plot point at all, so you can totally still read this imagining parker however you want. i hope you enjoy!
“God, it’s so weird just going right back to school like nothing’s even happened,” Parker started.
“Yeah,” Logan agreed. “Five fucking kids are dead, but science! Calculus! English!” he finished mockingly.
“Well, four,” Oscar corrected him, Lily nodding along.
Logan let out a large exhale and nodded. “Crazy he survived that shit considering how fucked up the rest of them were.”
“Well, you know what they say about quiet kids,” Arthur chimed in. The other five immediately turned to look at him in confusion.
“What?” Fred questioned incredulously.
“What?” Arthur demanded. “They’re like actually really cool and badass and stuff.”
“Huh?” Logan inquired with a furrowed brow. “I thought the thing was that they’re like… kinky and shit.”
“Mate, what the fuck?” Arthur responded defensively. “Why would I say that?”
“Well, that’s like the thing people say,” Logan bickered. “I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, but I’ve never heard anyone say that in my entire life.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Arthur retorted, making them all burst out into laughter for a brief moment before they all returned to a somber silence when they remembered the conversation that led them here in the first place.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to walk you to class?” Logan pressed, his pleading tone making it obvious that he was asking for his own sake instead of his girlfriend’s.
“No,” Parker laughed him off, pushing his chin off of her shoulder and his arms from around her waist. “The health room is all the way on the other side of the building. You’ll be late. Again.”
“Yeah, well-” Logan began to protest before his newest complaint was interrupted by a loud crack behind him that made the both of them jump. They turned around to see Zhou Guanyu staring back at them guiltily.
“Sorry,” he started to apologize “I just dropped-”
“Oh, no, that’s okay,” Logan interrupted, as Parker reached down to pick up the textbook that fell from his locker.
“Thank you,” he said with a shy smile when she handed it back to him.
“No problem,” she reassured him, returning the expression. “It’s the least I can do, especially considering…” She trailed off, instead gesturing to his left arm which was fully encased in a sling.
After a moment of awkward silence, the girl spoke up again. “Um, what class do you have next? I can help you carry your things,” she offered.
“Bio,” he answered, “but it’s alright,” the boy quickly added. “It’s not far, I wouldn't want you to go out of your way-”
“No, that’s perfect,” she interrupted. “I’ve got psych first period, so I’m headed to the science wing too,” she explained, lifting the heavy load from his hands, right as the morning bell rang.
“Alright,” Logan said, leaning over his girlfriend’s shoulder to give her an instinctual kiss on the cheek. “I better get going. If I’m late to Mrs. K’s class one more time I think she might beat me to death with one of the CPR dummies.”
Parker immediately bore her eyes into her boyfriend’s soul at his word choice, the poor boy not remembering his audience until the words had already left his mouth. Looking like a deer in headlights, he simply turned around and scurried off.
“Sorry,” Parker apologized once she turned back to Zhou, embarrassed.
“It’s okay,” he said, chuckling.
“Shit, we better get going or we’ll be late too.”
“You guys know Zhou, right?” Parker asked the group in front of her as she led the incapacitated boy to her customary lunch spot under the oak trees in the school courtyard. The two were met with a chorus of “yeah”s and welcomes.
“I hope it’s okay that I sit with you guys today,” he asked timidly.
“Yeah, great to have you, man,” Liam assured him as Lily reached across the table to relieve Parker of the extra lunch tray.
“Didn’t we have trig together last year, mate?” Dennis piped up to ask him.
“Um… I’m not sure. I don’t think I would recognize you in class,” the bashful boy responded, leading to a roaring bout of laughter from the crowd.
“Goddamn! He got your ass, Hauger,” Jack said through a fit of childish giggles.
As the conversation continued, Parker couldn’t help but notice that one of the usual members of their crew was missing. “Hey, babe,” she said as she nudged her boyfriend’s rib to get his attention.
“What?”
“Where’s Paul?” she asked, concerned. “He said he was coming to school when I checked in on him yesterday,” the girl recalled.
“Yo, Bearman,” Logan called quietly to the younger boy sitting across from them.
“What’s up?” Ollie questioned, eyebrows raised.
“Have you seen Paul at all today? Did he change his mind about coming in?”
“No, he’s here,” Ollie informed the couple. “I think he probably just wants some time to himself right now. Usually…” he trailed off.
Parker and Logan nodded in understanding. Usually Paul wasn’t the only Aron present at the lunch table.
“How are you holding up?” Parker inquired, giving the boy’s hand a gentle squeeze. Paul had lost a brother, but Ollie had lost the next best thing. His best friend. “I’m alright, thanks for asking,” he replied a little too quickly, flitting his eyes away from the couple before abruptly turning to rejoin the ongoing conversation to his right.
Logan and Parker shared a sad glance, but decided it was better to leave the boy be. Paul probably wasn’t the only one who needed space.
“So,” Arthur’s voice rang out, gathering everyone’s attention. “We’ve got Wednesday off, what say you all we hang at my place tomorrow night.”
“OMG! Sleepover!” Jack shrieked in a high pitched voice, eliciting a few snorts from the kids surrounding him.
“Shut up, Doofus,” Arthur shouted at him playfully.
“That’s not my name, Lecdumbass,” the other boy snapped back, overdramatically rolling his eyes in jest.
“Anyways…” Arthur hollered over his friends’ audible amusement, attempting to gather their attention again. “Is everybody in? You too, Guanyu,” he clarified, to which the meek boy simply nodded, much to the others’ delight. “Awesome!”
As everyone else agreed to the plan, Jack interrupted once again. “Can’t. My parents have been totally freaking out over all this shit. You know how they are. So, unfortunately, the only party I will be attending is Doohan family game night hosted at 15 Fairview Road. Sorry, gang.”
“Well, hope you have fun playing Scrabble with Mummy tonight,” Liam teased.
“Yeah,” Dennis joined in sarcastically, “maybe if you’re lucky she’ll let you have a scoop of chocolate ice cream too. With sprinkles!”
“Alright, fuck you all, I’m out of here,” Jack countered, beginning to gather his things in perfect unison with the end-of-lunch bell.
“Bye-bye, Doofenshmirtz!” Parker called to the boy’s back.
“See ya when Mama Doohan lets you out of your cage again,” her boyfriend added with a big grin, made even wider when Jack simply flipped them off as he continued walking away.
Dennis had worked his ass off all summer. He wanted that spot on the team and he wanted it bad. So, in the month leading up to tryouts, he had to keep up his training. And if Coach saw how dedicated he was maybe that would benefit him too.
After another grueling workout under the hot September sun, Dennis made his way back to the empty locker room. He could smell, see, feel, and taste the sweat on his body, making him strip off his soaked through shirt before the door had even fully closed behind him. He needed a shower ASAP.
All of a sudden, he felt the air knocked out of his lungs as his back hit the ground, letting out a strident wheeze. He laid there for a moment, groaning in pain and sweating even harder than before. Wait, no. That wasn’t sweat…
The boy wearily lifted his head off the ground, still recovering from the harsh impact of his fall, only to see the entire floor of the room flooded.
“What the fuck?” he sighed out with the little breath he was able to collect.
He slowly lifted himself back to his feet, ignoring his spinning head, until he looked down at where he had been only to be greeted by a river of pink floating in the shallow water. He reached his fingers to softly touch the back of his throbbing head and was immediately met with an intense pain and sticky, red blood covering his hand.
The boy sluggishly stumbled forward toward the sinks in order to better assess the situation and clean his open wound. The only sounds he could make out were his laboured breaths and the splashes of his feet meeting the puddles beneath him. Splish. Splash. Splish. Splash. Splish. He paused for a moment as the world spun around him.
Splash.
But the sound of that extra step behind him didn’t register in time for him to save himself.

Hi Davnitt!
I have come to your ask box today with 3 Marcus Pikes and I desperately need to know which one you like the best and why…
Or
Or
Thanks in advance for the essay you are about to write 😉😘
Me?? An essay??
My friend, I really don’t know why you’re under the impression that I wouldn’t simply respond to this lovely ask with a straightforward and succinct answer, that just doesn’t sound like me AT ALL.
So anyways -
In this essay I will demonstrate which of the three Marcus gifs submitted I like best and why.
In the first gif, we have post-Teresa Marcus, still carrying the weight of a broken heart while trying to put his life back together. See the sad puppy dog eyes? The nervous smile? That delectable beard isn’t for an undercover job, as he so claims. It’s obvious Poor Bébé is grasping at anything in his life that he can control, any way he can alter the present to be different than the future he dreamed of with her that he now realizes will never come to fruition.
And yet, as we know, Marcus is resilient, unable to stay down for long. There’s a glimpse of it in his gaze, the unwavering confidence that is already guiding him toward realizing the truth - that Teresa was an uninteresting, immature woman with sociopathic tendencies.
Also, that NECK omg I just wanna BITE it nom nom nom and the SMILE??? My heart 🥰🥰🥰
The second gif -
*pauses to physically and emotionally recover from Marcus Pike in a white t-shirt*
- gives us a slightly defensive Marcus, one who is confronted with a perceived threat to his happiness (aka the man he obviously suspects his girlfriend is in love with) and a particularly inspired choice of camera angle where the viewer is subjected to the very same broad chest and shoulders that have so many of us shifting in our seats.
Though on the surface he is displaying his typical politeness, there’s an underlying general aura of “back the fuck away from my girl” that, for those of us who find the idea of him metaphorically growling at anyone who might steal us away attractive (re: me) demands multiple replays of this particular gif.
Plus his hair is so fluffy here like it’s just begging for fingers to run through it and grip and pull -
Ahem okay anyways MOVING ON.
The last gif submitted for consideration is the essential Marcus Pike gif. Do I have a source to support this argument? Yes. Myself. Fight me.
The gentle gaze that radiates sincerity, the clearly and firmly stated reassurance that he is patient, forgiving, and will be ready whenever she is? His heart isn’t just on his sleeve, it’s in his eyes as he looks at her.
This is my favourite Marcus gif, ever. Not only because of the points stated above, but because this gif ultimately inspired my I’m Here series. I wanted to capture the essence of this gif and distill it in my own hurts and pains and flaws and see if the result was anything meaningful.
But when I went to write the first part of the series, I thought - my Marcus has lived so much since this gif. He’s been through heartbreak and betrayal, made rash decisions and put too much of himself in other people’s hands.
In my series, he’s worked through all of that in therapy, learned how to hold relationships without demanding everything from the other person - and himself - all at once, and how to find the validation he seeks in himself, not others. He’s no longer obsessed with obtaining his perception of a perfect life, focused so determinedly on the future that he misses the importance of the present.
I’m Here Marcus is grounded, centred in the moment. He knows what he truly wants, and that is a partner who will walk side by side with him along whatever path life lays out.
So, where once he said “I’ll be here,” implying he will wait for when she decides to come to him, now he says “I am here. For you. Be here with me, now.”
In conclusion, though all submissions resulted in me staring at gifs for much longer than is healthy, the third is my favourite 😊
And if you’ve read this far, I’d like you to know that you’ve read approximately 600 words of deranged rambling about a minor character in an objectively terrible television show. Do what you will with that information.
Thank you for the ask, my darling Katie 🐙

Finally finished the Icelos fic! I wrote some of this with a migraine, so I apologize if there's spelling errors or odd sentence structure. ;w;
Enjoy!
Imagine, if you will.
Icelos, playing with her brothers in the front yard, their parents keeping an eye them from the house. Her taking a moment to breathe when she hears what seems to be the sound of a cat mewing. It's not often, but animals do end up in Elysium from time to time.
Straying away from her brothers (who are now arguing over who would in a fight, Uncle Zagreus or Uncle Thanatos. Hypnos chimes in with all the time Zagreus has died, and Y/n watches from the sidelines. Phobetor is on the firm side that Aunt Megaera would win against both of them. Y/n agrees.) She moves closer to a group of bushes. Pushing them aside, she sees what was what made that mewing sound.
An injured Flame Wheel. Its wheels cracked and splintered with bits of light shining through.
Mortals, both humans and animals, can take the form of one if she remembers correctly (and she does. Dad loves reading them stories about Elysium and it's shades when it's time to nap.)
The Flame Wheel, upon noticing her, starts to growl, and Icelos starts to panic. Flame Wheels only defense strategy when agitated is to explode. She quickly braces herself.
But she doesn't hear it ignite, only growls and a whimpers.
She hears her dad call for her, father too. She's make her decision.
----
When calling for your daughter who has a habit of collecting animals, one should expect her to have a new companion.
However, her returning with a type of Shade known to explode is not something anyone can be prepared for.
Y/n knee-jerk reaction to pull his daughter away from the thing was only stopped by Phobetor grabbing his legs and Icelos pleading teary-eyed look. Hypnos quickly looked over his daughter before her pleas to keep the Flame Wheel reached Y/n. Look, father, it's behaving so well. It hasn't even exploded!
Icelos was quickly comforted by Hypnos who keep his weary gaze on the little chariot with sharp teeth, his eyes softening at the little whimpers it let's out.
And with his husband and daughter giving him pleading eyes, Y/n has no choice but to say yes, with very strict rules about it.
-----
Y/n was later seen with his daughter playing with the cat-like chariot before returning it to the further depth of Elysium.
Now, when walking through Elysium, it seems as if every Flame Wheel looks on in wonder at the kind daughter of Hypnos, some even trying to follow her home.
Y/n quickly makes sure they're sent away before they get comfortable.
Omggggggggggggg! First thing! Make sure to take care of yourself! I would smack you with a newspaper on your head but you already have a headache.
Also never apologize for errors especially when dealing with a migraine!
Putting the rest under the readmore
i will imagine.
Okay so aaaaaah this is so so so cute! I love little domestic scenes like this.
Little Phobetor def is a Megaera fanboy, he got a sign for her and everything.
awwww that poor little flame wheel!
Hypnos reading bedtimes stories to the kiddos 😭 ( i have really been wanting to write that fic aaa, i might be staying up late tonight.)
definitely, Icelos will keep her parents on their toes (and all of the kids really lol)
of course y/n always give in when it is Hypnos. He is a sucker and they both know it.
y/n doesn’t sleep that night, too worried about the flame wheel, and was ready with a hidden bucket of water for sure.
awww, i can see it so clearly, a little parade of flame wheels following her around everywhere.
Awwwwww i love this so much. Good job anon! I enjoyed so much, i think i read it over seven times before i could even respond. You did great job getting that wholesome family vibes and i just know everyone else would enjoy it as well!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful fic!

Whereas people who get these all the time, whose bladders are delicate and inflamed will feel the symptoms when bacteria are still at fairly low levels of growth in their bladder, but this level does not hit the threshold for the traditional testing cutoff.” Which traditional testing can miss an infection about 50% of the time. Originated in the 1950s and has not changed.
She added: “Prostates get so much attention and men with prostatitis quickly get given six weeks of antibiotics even if infection is suspected and not yet proven.”
“Even when men have a UTI the guidelines advise seven days of antibiotics, as opposed to the three days given to women. I think the degree of dismissal of women is appalling. And it doesn’t just happen in UTI, it happens in other areas of medicine as well.”
That’s where a lot of the suffering is generated. These poor women have got symptoms, they’re submitted to these incompetent tests, then told they cannot have an infection because the test is negative.

Quick Tip: In order for AZO Urinary Tract Defense™ to work to its full potential, you’d need acidic urine. For that, take Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) with the drug.
An alternative to AZO Urinary Tract Defense™ in Canada, Europe, or Australia is Hiprex, which works similarly.
Methenamine (the main active ingredient) will work by slowing down the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the urinary tract.
When exposed to acidic urine, Methenamine turns into formaldehyde to kill the bacteria, but it’s not strong enough to eliminate an infection completely.
Cystex Urinary Pain Relief Tablets is yet another product that contains Methenamine, and therefore works in the same way as AZO Urinary Tract Defense™.
The dose of Methenamine in both products is identical (162 mg) and both contain the same amount of Sodium salicylate (which is a sodium salt of salicylic acid).
Cystex Urinary Pain Relief Tablets will not change the color of the urine as some other OTC medications do.
hen the infection starts, your bladder responds by becoming inflamed, and that’s why you experience pain and increased the urgency to urinate.
Ibuprofen has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties and, it’s argued, could help you cope with the symptoms while your body fights the infection.
A couple of studies (here and here) show improved results and shorter symptoms when a patient used Ibuprofen to treat uncomplicated UTIs. Patients that had success with this treatment took 400 mg, three times a day for three days.
_______________
1. The UTI prevention dose is 1500-2000 mg (or one-half teaspoon) once or twice a day.
2. You can take this “preventive” dose safely for as long as you want. The bacteria won’t develop resistance to D-Mannose.
Made in USA not from corn in China but pineapples and cranberries
BulkSupplements Pure D-Mannose Powder / Pure Encapsulations – d-Mannose Powder /
D-Mannose- Max
In order for Azo Urinary Tract Defense to work better, you’d need acidic urine. For that take Ascorbic Acid together with the drug. Lemons, on contrary, would alkalize your urine. When taking products with Methenamine, avoid drinking water with lemon.
_______________________________
If Enterococcus is isolated, amoxicillin (500 mg orally every eight hours or 875 mg twice daily) is the agent of choice if the organism is susceptible
Use of nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin, and pivmecillinam should generally be avoided in the setting of acute complicated UTI because they do not achieve adequate tissue levels outside the bladder
Prophylaxis for recurrent UTI: 2L daily fluid, voiding frequency, hygiene, avoid spermicide & constipation
coli UTIs are resistant to ciprofloxacin
UTIs account for 9 percent of all antibiotics prescribed every year in the United States,
______________
Empty and full bladder about 6x per day
Prophylactic Dose
To help prevent recurrence, ingest two grams of pure D-Mannose with a glass of water once a day. This Randomized Clinical Trial has demonstrated a 2 gram daily dose of pure D-Mannose prevented recurrence of acute cystitis in 85.4% of women with a history of recurrent UTI, perfoming 4 times better than the prescribed antibiotic.
_______________
Urethral infections may take longer to subside because D-Mannose rapidly passes through the urethra when you urinate, rather than lingering as it does in the bladder. To increase effectiveness, you might want to try a method recommended by Doctors when a mid-stream urine sample is required: when your bladder is almost empty and there's little pressure remaining behind the flow, with a clean palm, press up against the urethra using just enough pressure to moderate the flow, until your bladder is completely emptied. You can repeat this each time you urinate with D-Mannose in your system.
This method provides the D-Mannose with a little extra time to detach the bacteria from your urethral wall. It can take anywhere from one to seven days to clear urethral symptoms.

A “typical” interview with a data practitioner
During the job interview process, working people may encounter a lot of questions, such as how to prepare for the interview, how to complete HE Tuber the homework left by the interviewer, etc. In this article, the author shares his interview experience as a practitioner in the data field. Let’s take a look and it may give you some help.
A picture at the beginning~
Hello friends~ Gu Mujun heard that it is very difficult to find a job this year. Whether it is the young people who have already entered the workplace or the new recruits who are about to enter the workplace, they are all being beaten mercilessly by this era. After thinking about it, I decided to share my experience of applying for a job at the bottom of my head. Using the 20 pages + interview assignment PPT as an example , I analyzed how to prepare at the tactical level to make an interview as smooth and pleasant as possible ~
Due to the dry content (about 5,000 words), it is expected to take 20 minutes to read completely. The text structure is as follows:
The correct opening posture of this article:
Someone who might be able to help
Something that might help
How to prepare for a data-oriented interview:
Reminiscing about interview background
Offline interview preparation
Preparation for problem solving and analysis after being asked to do homework during the interview
Graphical explanation of interview assignment examples
Review and summary
1. The correct opening posture of this article
1. Someone who may be able to help
1) Mainly the Internet industry
——After all, I have never experienced any interview routines in non-Internet industries~
2) Data direction practitioners
——Data analysis, data operations, strategic products, and data product managers can all be covered ~
3) Not pure R&D
——There is still a big difference between R&D and non-R&D routines, so let’s start with data and non-R&D~
4) Take 500,000 annual salary as a short- to medium-term small goal
——I must emphasize here . If any friends think, "What? 500,000? What if someone just got off the plane in the United States?!", I want to say that this number is not out of reach, and it is definitely not made up by me. Baidu's P6, Alibaba’s P6+, and Tencent’s level 9 are definitely achievable.
Maybe some friends said, "Those big factories are too far away from me, so don't talk about these useless things." Then I want to say, recall when you were in school, if you were still a scumbag in elementary school with less than 60 points, you should Should I find a brother with a score of about 60 to discuss learning methods and problem-solving ideas, or should I talk to a quasi-student with a score of 80+? Target, sense, ah, knock! black! plate!
2. Things that might help
1) How to prepare for an interview from a tactical level?
——In addition to the tactical level, there is also a higher strategic level, such as how to choose an industry, a company, a business, and a position? For example, what mentality should you have when facing an interview? But these are all things for the next article . In this article, let’s just talk about how you can respond to the interviewer easily, be both offensive and defensive, and be able to defeat the enemy when you lock in a specific position~
2) What should I do if I am given homework during the interview?
——To be honest, leaving homework for interviews will become increasingly unavoidable. As an interviewer, it is really impossible to fully understand the true level of job seekers in one conversation. Coupled with the poor job hunting environment, companies have more choices and more initiative. If we are really asked to do homework, then remember to reopen this article and copy it~ Furthermore, if you have made thorough preparations according to the standards for writing homework before being asked to do homework, then I am sure , your efforts will definitely reward you!
2. How to prepare for a data-oriented interview
1. Recall the interview background
It was an ordinary night. I finished the work at hand early around 6 o'clock, took a taxi to Tencent Binhai Building, and made an appointment with the interviewer on the corporate WeChat account (open seating area). After arriving, I discovered: The interviewer is a pretty girl! and Are you queuing up for an interview tonight? There is a guy in front of me who is being interviewed!
This scene is a little exciting, and I can already smell the fierce competition before it even begins. Gu Mujun sat and waited for about 10 minutes. When he realized that it was his turn soon, he got up and went to the nearby teahouse to drink 2 cups of warm water. He drank one cup to calm down his shock, and handed the other cup to the interviewer who talked a lot. Girl—Okay, let’s get started~
2. Preparations for offline interviews
The interview I understand can actually be very simple, that is, the other party writes the recruitment requirements for the position. If the requirements are reliable (they wrote them seriously and were not copied from all over the world), then we will follow what is written above, word for word. To prepare for the study, we will show her what she needs. Once the bastard looks at the mung bean and makes eye contact, we will work together~ Then let’s review what others ask of us first (I forgot to take a screenshot of the post, I can only roughly recount the job requirements from memory~):
Job title: WeChat Mini Game Data Operation Product Manager
Rank requirements: 3-1 and above (which is now level 9 and above under Tencent’s new rank system)
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the data operation of WeChat mini games
Evaluate and optimize the core strategies of the mini-game platform
Continuously monitor platform ecological health through data
According to the above-mentioned job recruitment requirements, Gu Mujun made the following preparations:
1) Supplementary business background knowledge
The value and positioning of WeChat mini games in the WeChat ecosystem
The current overall data performance of the mini-game ecosystem
Who are the participants in the mini-game ecosystem?
What is the business monetization model of the mini-game ecosystem?
What are the current pain points of the mini-game business?
In response to the pain points, what measures are currently taken by the WeChat Mini Games official?
2) Benchmarking job requirements and abilities
The skills required for data operations can be self-evident with examples based on the work content of data analyst + data product manager in the resume. It shows that I can not only analyze problems with human flesh and give suggestions, but also plan and design an automated data product to replace most human efforts to proactively find problems.
Evaluate and optimize the core strategies of the platform, and provide self-certification with examples based on the work content of the strategic product manager in the resume. It shows that I have the ability to independently design strategies to drive business development, and can quantitatively evaluate this strategy for continuous optimization.
Continuously monitor the ecological health of the platform through data, and provide self-certification with examples based on the work content of data analyst + data product manager in the resume. It shows that I can systematically provide standards for monitoring and measuring ecological health, and that these standards are in line with the actual business situation.
3. Problem solving and analysis after being asked to do homework during the interview
According to the above preparation, the whole interview process was pleasant. I even consulted the interviewer on the spot for his evaluation and feedback on my interview. However, the critical blow always came suddenly:
Interviewer girl: "emmm, I still want to ask you to give a simple feedback on a problem after you go back."
Me: "Um...does that mean leaving homework?"
Interviewer girl: "Ah, yes, I hope you don't mind"
Me: "Ah...it's okay, I understand...(Shit, I understand...)"
Okay, here comes the homework - please explain, what role can data operations play in the WeChat mini-game ecosystem?
Believe me, when I first got this homework topic, I was also shattered and resisted in my heart, but what can I do? It’s important to have a good meal, so let’s bite the bullet~ Before starting, let’s take stock of the current situation and put this sentence first. Let’s make the task concrete:
【Target】
Write an assignment on the role of data operations in the WeChat mini-game ecosystem.
【time】
The interviewer girl said, "When will you finish your homework and hand it in? If I think it's OK, then you can proceed to the next round of interviews with the director, so it's all up to you to manage the time~"
【form】
Word? PPT?
【content】
The key words are “data operation”, “mini-game”, “ecology” and “function”.
After thinking about it for a while, I rushed:
Since you are writing, you must write something that is systematic and can be implemented, and you cannot fix those particularly imaginary things;
Since you are writing, you must write about the issues that people are most concerned about at the moment, and provide timely help instead of icing on the cake;
Since you are writing, you must take it seriously, and do whatever makes people comfortable with the form;
Since you are writing, don’t procrastinate too much and strike while the iron is hot.
Ever since, the combat strategy came out:
【time】
The overall time-consuming plan is a week, collecting data after work every day from Monday to Friday, building the framework structure of the operation, and filling in the specific content according to the framework structure on Saturday and Sunday.
【form】
The best user experience is definitely PPT, which has logic, stories and pictures. But because it is not a speech on the spot, I cannot do a pure speech-style high-level PPT like Jobs. I have to explain the key content clearly in words on the PPT.
【content】
Combined with the previous background knowledge collection, we closely followed the official pain points of mini games, solved problems such as lack of creativity, plagiarism and cheating, and weak marketing, and systematically constructed a set of data operation proposals for WeChat mini games.

I dunno! This was written when we only had Teal Mask, so I'd have to look at it.
Similarities in Approach Morpeko, Ninetales, and Sinistcha are completely unchanged, down to the two hold items. Everything that was said before remains accurate.
Mightyena has shifted from a more offensively-focused approach, to something more in line with her general strategy. It employs status through sleep, and flat damage through Super Fang. Strictly speaking the Howl decision is a poor one but we'll let that go. This is a Mightyena that feels more trick-focused, and more aligned to her personality as someone who avoids losing more than pushes for victory. That said, she does have two new additions.
Branching Out (Scrafty) Scrafty fits her preference for the Dark type, but is a very offensively-inclined selection, similar in style to Leavanny. However, while Leavanny focused on Swords Dance, Scrafty focuses on Bulk Up, which is slowly to build offense, but also boosts defense. This mixed approach can imply that Carmine's being a bit more intentional in her approach. When she does push forward, Swords Dance implies a level of single-minded focused, almost desperation to break through. Bulk Up is a little more cautious and reserved, it's taking consideration for your long-term. Brick Break is an interesting choice over Drain Punch, because it implies her focus isn't entirely on self-preservation, but rather on breaking down what stands in her way. She's still aggressive, but in a more considerate way. Ice Punch could also imply that she's still a bit reserved. I don't want to say cold to others, but that distance is still there. Scrafty had plenty of coverage options, including better picks to respond to Fairy, so Ice could be more about what she's like than anything.
Reactive Aggression (Toucannon) Carmine in Teal Mask can get aggressive pre-emptively. She'll mouth off and act tough even before you're properly introduced. It's more of her default, which is why Mightyena made sense, and focused more on offense before. But now Mightyena is about its tricks, and I think Toucannon expands a bit on the why.
Carmine's a bit more considerate in Indigo Disk. She's still very much herself, but her focus is on helping Kieran and Briar, and she's a lot less snappy with you now that you're friends, and is only really mean to Drayden, which...fair. He's someone who also knows how to push her buttons and is a bit of a brat.
Toucannon's central attack, Beak Blast, is that reactivity. She's still going to snark at you, but she won't get really nasty unless you prod at her first. Throat Chop is also an interesting pick, suggesting a sort of shutting down whatever they have to say. I think that one's fun because it implies a sort of "can dish it out, but can't take it," leading to her intense dislike of Drayden who, all things considered, isn't really malicious toward her so much as being a twerp. She just can't take his ability to snap back. Dual Wingbeat can imply a sense of "Why snap once when you can do it twice?" That idea of disproportionate retribution, of pushing to end them.
I spoke out loud about this and my wife added a fun point: Carmine here is more in her element. Blueberry isn't her home. When you meet in Teal Mask, she feels like you're an invader, someone unwelcome and thus that is the prod that leads to more overt aggression. With Blueberry, it's just her school, and she directly invited you. She's more relaxed and less inclined to feel the need to snap. I'd also probably add that she likely didn't feel to connected to people in her hometown, so much as the village itself, whereas Blueberry is where we see her only known friend outside of you, so she's likely in a calmer headspace as well.
Final Thoughts Not too much to update, but her Indigo Disk team does somewhat exude a sense of being calmer, a little more careful, but still prone to emotional outburst when prodded. Which is fun considering her changes.
Pokemon Team Characterization - Carmine
Look, I knew I was going to do this the instant I saw she had a Vulpix. Also I think Carmine might have accidentally become my favorite ScarVi character. Oopsie doodles, I guess. It's been a while since I've done one of these, so for the unfamiliar, this is where I look at the trainer's team and talk about how their team composition and move selections inform their character. Carmine being a favorite, I of course hold many opinions.
I'm sticking with just her final team. Reason being, her team never changes. Interestingly she has Vulpix at the start, drops it in your second battle and all quest battles, but picks it back up for the finale. Morpeko and Sewaddle show up in the battle where Vulpix leaves instead. I don't have anything profound to talk about on that which can't be talked about in the larger analysis, so with that!
The Lead (Mightyena) Mightyena as a lead means Intimidate. This can be seen as mostly a competitive move; lead Intimidate is frequent in the series. But I think it says a little more regarding Carmine, and the specificity of "Why Mightyena?" It's not exactly super tough as a Pokemon.
Carmine, in her entirety, operates off the difference between how she presents, and how she actually is. The impression she projects is one of strength and severity, but the core of her person is...fairly soft. When she opens up to the player, she's able to act as her genuine self, which involves some pretty silly photos taken together while searching for the masks. A big fluffy hyena-dog that can snarl real nice and seem scary is the perfect entry to this idea. There's intimidation, but if you can get past that, the rest is pretty easy to handle. Not that she'll make it easy. Play Rough belies a tendency to be a bit critical and, dare I say, nasty at times? She does openly mock you if you use a not-very-effective attack. But she can come around. I think Howl emphasizes her straight-forward nature. It's one stat getting buffed, and it's attack. No frills, just straight to the point.
The major change of its set is going from Take Down to Sucker Punch. Take Down deals recoil, and implies a certain...self-sabotage. Meanwhile Sucker Punch is taking initiative, and getting ahead of things. Something between her first fight and last fight changed, and altered her mindset to go from a self-defeating one, to one of taking charge.
The Ace (Sinistcha) Sinistcha's defining feature is double status. Stun Spore with paralysis, Scald with a chance to burn. Both play into Hex, which doubles in power if the foe is afflicted, while Matcha Gotcha absorbs HP based on damage dealt. Operating together, I think this shows Carmine as someone who is most in control when others are put down. I don't mean that to imply she's nasty, more that she is someone who is avoidant toward the possibility of losing, or facing someone stronger. She won't fight as directly, especially if she can't win. She'd rather hinder what people can do to threaten her, than push herself. The Occa Berry is an interesting choice as well. There are other weaknesses Sinistcha has, but it's specifically Fire, the threat of being burned, that she worries about. She's guarded.
But at the same time...Hospitality. This is the last Pokemon on the team, and its ability emphasizes healing of a battle partner. In singles, this does nothing. But in doubles, it implies the sense that if she feels you have her back, she'll have yours. She'll take care of people she feels comfortable around.
Care and Control (Leavanny and Ninetales) Leavanny, and prior to this, Swadloon, are an interesting addition to the team. For those not familiar with the Pokelore, Leavanny knits leaf clothes for Sewaddle and Swadloon, with Swadloon being completely bundled up within them. The decision to have Swadloon at first is, I think, the sense of self-protection. Swadloon's set even focuses on speed control through Sticky Web and Trailblaze. Its appearance in her second fight is revealing. Sticky Web is playing to her team's general structure of disrupting the opponent, but Trailblaze is setting out to do something new and different, and its function is building herself up.
By the time it's Leavanny, she's now focused on attack, emphasizing that direct nature. But Fell Stinger is an interesting choice, given X-Scissor's presence. This move boosts attack by 3 if she lands a KO. I think this speaks, generally, to Carmine's confidence. Despite the outward appearance of someone so confident she seems arrogant, internally there's an anxiety around being shown she's not as strong as she thinks. When the player wins, she seems genuinely upset at the loss, but not in an outburst way like Ortega, or even a truly disappointed way like Hop. Like something's been revealed that she wish hadn't been. She doesn't like that she can't be as strong as she presents. Fell Stinger implies the sense that, when she meets with success, she responds well to it. There's an excitement to seeing something pay off, and it suggests she focuses on those shots of reinforcement. There's no reason to carry two Bug moves, but she wants to feel that sense of accomplishment.
By contrast, Ninetales is there at the start, leaves, and comes back. Its moveset does not change. It is the only Pokemon that does not change a single move, and includes Will-o-Wisp, and Disable. Moves for disruption. Specifically, cutting the damage she receives, and removing attacks she doesn't like. Flamethrower is the obvious offensive move, but Extrasensory is an unusual choice. By coverage, the best pick is Energy Ball; Grass hits all of Fire's weaknesses super-effectively. Extrasensory is interesting because it's a naturally learned move that has flinch. Again, disruption. But also, Ninetales only knows moves it can learn naturally. This also true of Leavanny and Mightyena. I think this focus on what's learned naturally is reflective of her attachment to her home. Carmine cares about Kitakami as it is, and concerns herself with allowing others to visit sacred areas, or the degradation of culture to tourism. Maintaining a sort of natural essence seems important to her.
Double Sided (Morpeko) But at the same time, Carmine operates on multitudes. On the one hand, she cares deeply about the preservation of Kitakami's culture. But on the other, by the end of it all, she's come around to having people visit. On the one hand, she's intense and critical, but at the same time genuinely does care. Morpeko's form shift shows both sides, with Focus Sash being the near guarantee. To really understand Carmine, you have to understand both sides, and its moveset further reflects this.
On the one hand, disruption through Thunder Wave. On the other, building herself up through Aura Wheel. Both sides coexist within Morpeko. It's interesting to note that, as one of two that have TMs, one of the moves she taught it? Lash Out. Dealing greater damage when stats are lowered. When shaken, when threatened, she'll react strongly. At her core, she's reactive, and responds to perceived slights or injustice with an intense retaliation.
Summation Carmine's team suggests someone who is, at once, presenting as entirely collected while avoiding her shortcomings being known. She operates on a reactive, defensive approach; disrupting opponents and preventing them from getting too close to the core of her personality. She thrives off of seeming superior, but genuinely does light up at her accomplishments, and lives for the satisfaction of success. While initially fully avoidant, by the end of the DLC, she's come around to trying to work on improving herself, but likely still has trouble letting go of frustrations with setbacks and fear of failure.
If you have a different read on the team, I'd love to hear it. As mentioned, she kinda accidentally became my current favorite of ScarVi, so I'm very up for discussing her character.

Of Random Things That Have Led Us Here
Pairing: Matt Murdock x GNReader
Word Count: 2600ish
Summary: Life is random and funny, and the pair of you decide just to laugh and embrace what is thrown your way
Trigger warnings: idk, maybe look into a dentist appointment to help with all this tooth rotting fluff
Masterlist
"Do you remember when we met?"
"Hmm?" You don't glance up from the book you're reading when he asks the question out of the blue. Instead, you flip to the next page, only half paying attention to the man whose lap your head is currently resting in.
"I asked you if you remember when we first met?" He repeats, running his hands gently through your hair. You lower the book you have in your hands to look up at him. He's got a soft smile on his lips, the light of the Saturday afternoon sun washing over his face.
"Of course I remember," you tell him, watching as his head tilts down at you, unfocused eyes aimed just slightly to the left of your head. "Do you?"
"I do," Matt affirms quietly, gently. "I think about it a lot."
You grab the hand that's running through your hair and bring it down to your mouth for a kiss. "You think about the first time I ran into you? Like...literally ran into you?"
"All the time," he responds instantly. You snort, recalling the day you had turned a corner in the library and abruptly run into him. The force of the collision had caused you to drop your books and his cane out of his hands as he caught you.
It was so cute it was almost disgusting.
"I think about how you must have known I was coming around that corner," you say in amusement. "You knew I was about to run into you, but you didn't move out of the way."
"That's true," he laughs, shrugging his shoulders. "But we were in public, and I hadn't quite expected you to turn the corner and then trip into me as fast as you did. I had no reasonable excuse for getting out of your way that quickly, and I wasn't about to just let you fall."
"That's an interesting way of you telling me that you purposefully let me walk into you so that you could introduce yourself."
Matt shakes his head in denial, though the smile is still on his lips. "That's a false accusation."
You put the book on the coffee table and sit up, though Matt makes sure to pull you back towards him and into his lap once you're no longer laying down. "Bullshit it is, Murdock. You knew exactly what was going to happen, and you made no move to keep it from happening."
He's laughing again. "I plead the fifth," is all he says in his defense.
"And," you carry on, eyeing the way he bites his bottom lip, something he does when he's being called out and finds it amusing, "you 100% knew where I was when I came back into Hell's Kitchen three weeks later when you "unintentionally" ran into me again."
"It was completely unintentional. I had no idea you were going to be there at that specific time on that specific day."
"Sure, you may have not been expecting me to be there that afternoon, but you deciding to walk in after catching my scent from two blocks over and calling it a mere coincidence to my face was definitely intentional."
Matt flushes. "It's not my fault you were at the McDonalds that was literally on my way to the office," he argues lightly. "Which, gross by the way. I almost decided to keep walking and not waste my time with someone who had such poor taste."
You gasp and punch him in the arm. He mouths the word ow, but you know he's full of shit. "Don't you dare knock their McNuggets. They are delicious."
"Sure, if you like fried chicken that is extremely processed and overly breaded."
"Which I do!" You exclaim. "Are you saying my choice in chicken nuggets almost kept you away? Because if it really offends you so much, maybe you should have kept walking." Matt immediately pulls you back into his lap when you move to stand up, a wide smile on his face. You put up a fight in mock outrage, but ultimately let him settle you back on his thighs, arms wrapped around your waist to keep you locked in this time.
You cross your arms over your chest. "I bet you're going to tell me that you dislike kittens, too. And all things fun."
He grins and kisses your cheek. "I'd gladly walk into every fast food place if I knew you were going to be in there. And you know how much the smell bothers my nose, so you should take that as a compliment, to the highest order."
"God, you're so romantic," you respond as you roll your eyes fondly. "A man after my own heart."
"After it?" Matt smirks, looking way too pleased with himself. "No, sweetheart, I already have it."
It's true. It's completely true.
"You're lucky you're cute," you tell him, pinching his cheek and snickering when he pushes your hand away in fake annoyance. "Or else I would have turned you down."
"No you wouldn't have," he says confidently, a self-assured grin on his handsome face. He's right, you wouldn't have. "And even if you had, it wouldn't have gotten in my way. I tried to find your scent for three weeks before I finally found you. Do you think I would have let you walk away that easily?"
"That sounds really creepy when you say that out loud." Matt shakes his head in disagreement, though his shoulders are shaking in quiet laughter.
"I knew I had found the love of my life; I wouldn't have given up so easily."
"We literally only spoke for ten minutes before we went our separate ways at the library," you remark dryly.
"It was enough for me."
You hmmm in feigned skepticism.
"Maybe I should have said no when you asked me out," you say thoughtfully as you shift in his lap. The look on his face is deicdedly unimpressed. "I had no idea you were prepared to be so stalker-y."
"Only the best efforts for you," he snarks, leaning forward to smack a loud kiss on your cheek. "I had no idea you lived so far outside of the city, which is why it took me so long to find you again in the first place."
"Brooklyn isn't that far," you comment wryly.
He shrugs, grinning. "Far enough that I wasn't able to find you again until you had an appointment with your client that day down the street fron my office."
"Ah, yes," you recall, remembering the annoyance you had felt that day. "The day where my client had me meet him all the way out here, only for him to cancel last minute, leaving me with no lunch plans and a starving stomach. At least I got a cute guy out of the otherwise shitty day."
"Lucky you."
"I mean...I guess I could go so far as to say you were the highlight of the day, but that wouldn't be saying much." Matt laughs and tightens his arms around you.
"I think it all worked out for you in the end, though."
"Eh, the jury's still out on that one," you say nonchalantly, pretending to pick at the non-existent dirt underneath your nails. "Still waiting to see what my other options are, I guess."
He pinches your thigh and you squeal. "You can't lie to me, sweetheart. Did you forget that part?"
"As if I could ever forget, seeing as you remind me of it every time you ask a question you know I don't want to answer."
"Not my fault you're a lying liar who tries to lie."
You look at him, unamused. "What are you, five?"
"Just a fact, sweetheart." The smugness in which he says it makes you roll your eyes, though you do so affectionately. "Can't lie to a man who can literally tell when you're not telling the truth." The man looks entirely too proud of himself.
"You know," you begin teasingly, watching the way the light plays over his face, drawing out the green in his eyes. "You could just say you never want me to leave, instead of getting all testy when I say I'm looking at what else is out there."
"You live here. I'm pretty sure that's what never wanting you to leave means," he deadpans.
"Let me guess, then. You're looking to tie me down, aren't you?" You ask as you run your finger down his cheek. He kisses it as it trails past his mouth. "Keep me from exploring other options?"
"There are no other options," Matt denies, his sightless eyes narrowing. "Not for you."
"Are you calling me undesirable?" You demand in mock outrage. "That's rude, Matthew."
He snickers. "There's no other options because no one else can have you. You're mine." He squeezes you tighter against him, pulling you in for a quick kiss, before you smack his chest hard enough that he lets you pull back. He leans back against the couch with another smirk.
"My, my. Possessive, aren't you? I bet you bought the ring already," you tease him, ready for him to laugh it off.
He doesn't.
Matt stills beneath you, breath caught in his throat, face going alarmingly white, and the change in him is so sudden it's almost jarring. His hand tightens in the shirt you're wearing, and you watch as he swallows, a look of panic crossing over his face.
Realization hits you suddenly as you observe his reaction, and your eyes widen in surprise. You throw your hands up over your mouth as you gasp.
"No," you whisper in disbelief, the word muffled by your hands. You stare at his face, noticing the way his eyes are shifting around the room almost frantically. "You didn't...no, you didn't."
Matt cringes, face now rapidly regaining color, but it goes far past his normal shade and straight into a fire engine red. "Any chance we can rewind the past 15 seconds?"
The shock has worn off, and the smile suddenly breaking out across your face is so wide it hurts. You shake your head adamantly, hands still covering your mouth. "Absolutely not."
He shuts his eyes, grimacing. His tongue peaks out to lick his lips, something he does when he's anxious. "Please?"
You pull your hands away from your face and ignore him completely, moving on to the next question that's bursting out of you. "You already have a ring?"
"I do," he admits reluctantly, and he looks like he'd rather be getting a root canal, or three. "It's with Foggy because you're literally the worst snoop I've ever met."
"That's rich, coming from you."
"A classic case of kettles meeting pots, then."
You let out a quick huff of laughter, but waive the comment away, trying to focus on the matter at hand. You're giddy now, much to his embarrassment over the situation. "When were you going to say something?"
Matt looks visibly pained at your questions, but you're absolutely vibrating in his lap, two seconds away from giggling like a hyena.
"Next weekend. This isn't...this isn't how I planned on asking you," he sighs as he continues to look frozen and mildly horrified. "I was going to--"
"I don't care!" You squiggle out of his lap abruptly, placing your feet on the ground and standing up. "This is...this is so us."
Matt is still flushing as his mouth twists into a quiet frown. "What do you mean by that?"
"It means, my beautiful Matthew," you say as you reach down to grab his hands before trying to pull him up to his feet. All that muscle mass is heavy, and you're lucky he decides to go with it, rising up to stand in front of you. You place your hands on his burning cheeks. "That our relationship has been a series of nothing but funny and random circumstances that has led us here."
"And?"
"And," you continue brightly, grinning like an absolute maniac at this point, "all these funny random circumstances have given me the most love and happiness that I ever could have imagined having in my life." Matt's face begins to to break into a small smile, though it's hesitant.
"And that includes me asking you to marry me while we talk about your love for McNuggets and my stalker-like tendencies?" He looks absolutely bewildered. You smile softly, reaching up to run your fingers through his hair.
"Well technically you haven't asked me yet."
"And if I did?" He questions quietly, though the smile has grown and is less cautious, no doubt finally understanding that you're smiling uncontrollably and haven't backed away screaming. It seems to be enough for him to push past the anxiety that you know has probably been coursing through his body. His hands reach down to your hips to pull you gently into him. "If I were to get down on one knee, right here and now, what would you say?"
"I think I would say that the McNuggets deserve a thank you gift for leading me to my future husband."
His mouth is on yours before you can even blink, and you let out a startled laugh against his lips before you throw your arms around his neck. A hand is in your hair, the other still on your hip, and you can feel him smile into the kiss as he pulls you closer. You're breathing heavily by the time he pulls away.
He places a kiss on your forehead, both hands coming up to cup your face gently.
"You know I would have eventually found you anywhere, right? After weeks of searching, you were just there, in that random McDonalds of all places. Just a few buildings down from me. I didn't want to miss another minute, so I walked in, without a second thought," he says reverently, brushing your hair back from your face, unfocused eyes landing to the left of your mouth. "But I would have kept looking."
"I know, Matt," you whisper as you place your hand on the side of his face, thumb brushing over his cheekbone. He has never looked more beautiful than in this moment, you think. A green tshirt and black silk boxers with hair that wasn't styled after his shower, and you've never loved him more. "I know you would have."
"And I'll buy you as many McNuggets as you want for the rest of your life if that's what you want."
You snort inelegantly. "This is the best marriage proposal ever."
Matt blushes, but keeps smiling. "I'll still bring you to that nice restaurant on 42nd that I had all planned out. I'll wear that nice suit you like on me, and get down on one knee in front of everyone. Just say the word, sweetheart. Anything you want."
"No," you're shaking your head at him, laughing as you do so. "This...this was perfect. Random and silly and hilarious."
"Are you--"
"Yes, Matt, I'm sure," you interrupt, fondly looking at him like the idiot in love that you are. "This is all I need. This is all I want. Just you."
He pulls you in for another kiss, this one more heated than the last as he presses the full length of his body against you and grinds his hips into yours. You shudder, knowing exactly where this is going, and everything in you wants to be underneath him, on top of him, on your knees for him. You're about to pull him to the bedroom when a random thought enters your mind, and you pull back from his lips, laughing.
"What is it? What's so funny?"
"Man, I can't wait to tell Foggy and Karen about this."
Matt groans, tilting his head back, cringing as if you've just had the worst idea in the world. You giggle at the look on his face.
"Is there any way we can skip the part about us talking about McNuggets while I'm asking you to marry me?"
"Not a chance, Matthew." You pull his face back down so that you can kiss him again. "Not a chance."

It's a very silly request and you can ignore it, but maybe headcanons of Frank, Danny, PH and Evan accompanying their s/o to a Build a Bear to get a nice stuffed animal?
I know next to nothing about Build a Bear so sorry about that. This prompt is adorable also so tysm.
This is lightly edited so I apologize for any mistakes.
Contains: Jealous Slashers, Slatlking/Obsession Mentioned
Frank Morrison |The Legion|
Oho, expect relentless teasing. Frank will tease every decision you make with mock coos and demeaning little jokes.
He’ll also pretend he isn’t having just as much fun as you if you were to point to the plushie he held in his arms as well. Frank would simply scoff saying something childish yet funny in response.
The poor staff working there. I like to think that Frank has a general dislike of anyone who either tries to tell him what to do or has a higher authority than him wherever he is. This fact also stretches to employees at any establishment.
“Sir-” Frank immediately turns staring down the employee who dared speak to him and you. As soon as they got done saying what they needed too Frank would be pulling you away from the poor employee who is just tired and wanting to go home at that point.
He will be super possessive over you his arm practically glued to your hip. Imagine him literally barking at anyone who gets too close to you. He’s like a super attached rabid dog more than happy to bite anyone who touches you. Whether it be an accident or not he doesn’t care.
Will most likely end with you needing to pull him out of there forcefully breaking whatever one-sided staring contest he was having with a complete stranger.
Afterward, Frank will either give his plushie to you or keep it on or around his bed at all times cuddling with it at times just to remember you and the visit. If anyone were to come into his room when he was cuddling it, however, it is immediately being thrown under the bed, across the room, or in a closet.
He can’t let people think he’s getting soft now.
“You want to go where?” Frank asked laughing as he looked at you incredulously. “Build-A-Bear,” you responded your arms pulled tight across your chest as you glared at the killer currently crackling at the childish choice of date.
When he finally calmed down and stood you expect to be further ridiculed when he opened his mouth. Instead, you were happily surprised as Frank grabbed his jacket wrapping an arm around your shoulders “Alright let's go.” you were sure he was far done from teasing you but it made your heart warm at how he was holding you close willing to accompany you to a place he deemed ‘childish’.
Danny, Jed Olson |Ghostface|
Hope you enjoy photos because this man will be snapping them every other second.
He will quite literally have a stack to develop when he gets home, most of them simply being of you. With a few potential victims snuck in-
Danny will be amused with your choice of establishment lightly teasing you before just being happy to be near you. Don’t be fooled though Danny is obsessive and possessive, even worse than Frank is. He is just better at hiding it.
Overall I feel he won’t quarrel with any staff unless he feels they’re coming on to you. Same with anyone else in the building. He will go out of his way to seem pleasant.
If someone was coming onto you though Danny is immediately in defense mode. His hands on your side and shoulders a few fingers ghosting your neck all the while he stares down whoever dares flirt or make a move on what is his. Even if it’s just an interested look from someone across the room he will need to prove that he owns you by touching you in some way.
He will constantly hold your hand and even give you input on what to do with the plushie. Respectful input of course is not a little suggestive at times. The man is a pervert what can I say.
Expect sly wandering hands. You’ll have to swat his hands away from your ass multiple times getting an exasperated sigh in return.
He will ask you for your opinion if he decides he wants a plushie of his own. Every detail he’ll ask you about something even if it’s just a what one looks better.
Afterward, he will most likely keep the plushie unashamedly keeping it in his bed or on a dresser. If it’s not there it’s most likely displayed somewhere in his room near his stash of your photos.
Danny smiled as his hand ran over the soft exterior of the plush he held in his hands. It was adorable, like you. Danny chuckled as he set the thing onto his literal shrine dedicated to you. He leaned back before running his thumb over a photo of both you and him. “Adorable,” he said quietly a soft smile on his lips and an obsessive gleam in his eyes.
Evan McMillan |The Trapper|
You want to go where?
He will be confused and uncertain about your choice of outing but will go with you if only to spend more time with you and to make you happy.
This man won’t want to make a plushie himself but will enjoy helping you with yours. Ask him a question? He’ll give you a straight-up honest answer.
Now Evan won’t have a problem with the staff there at all being apathetic to them as long as they are polite to you and him.
If they are not, however, or if some people there try to come onto you he is in full-on scary protective boyfriend mode. He will be staring down whoever it is his hands on your hips and he will pull you in for a kiss. Evan would be more confident and sure that you are his and only his but he will still dislike anyone trying to hit on what’s obviously his.
He will feel extremely out of place though. He will most likely always be touching you in some way, he’ll either be holding your hand or he’ll have his hands on your shoulders.
Evan will love the little look of excitement that flashes across your face when you make the plushie. He may even point it out with a soft smile of his own.
If you give him your plushie he will be more than accepting and will be careful with the gift keeping it on or near his bead with no shame. Anyone asks about it? He’ll give an honest answer no shame.
If it smells like you he will definitely curl up with it when he misses you he’ll be full-on cuddling the thing.
Evan’s smile was warm as he gazed down at you. The pure joy on your face making his heart flutter and his lips curl upward ever so slightly. You looked so proud of yourself as you help up a plush in your hands letting Evan inspect it. He chuckled gently taking the thing and looking it over thoughtfully “It looks amazing love.” he said handing it back to you and pulling you into his side.
“Did you have fun?” he asked as if the constant smiling and giggling from you wasn't proof enough of your joy. “Of course, thanks for coming with me,” you stated through a smile pushing further into his embrace.
“Anything for you.”
You knew his words were sincere and he truly would do anything for you.
Pyramid Head
He will have no complaints. Drag him anywhere and as long as you are there he is happy.
No teasing would come from this man even if he was able to speak properly. In fact, he would be overinvested in whatever is it you are doing. He is very curious and will take note of everything.
The fact that you enjoy it will be reason enough for him to participate and he will be right alongside you with his own plushie.
You will most likely need to assist him or else the thing may end up a wreck. He’ll try his best to copy whatever you’re doing, but let’s be honest. He’s quite literally a living tank and he’s not made to do tedious tasks or handle something so fragile. The poor man will probably rip his plushie on accident and you’ll have to condole him.
The poor staff- as soon as the man walked through the front door a few just threw their hands up walking out. “Not today,” they’d say as they let the door swing shut behind them. The few members brave enough to deal with you and your strange but loveable lover will most likely be terrified and shaking.
Pyramid Head will be completely oblivious to his terrifying stature but it’ll be funny to watch this man finish his plushie only to hold it to his chest completely happy with the results no matter how iffy it may look.
He will definitely want to go back.
It was adorable how Pyramid Head was fussing over the plushie in his hands trying his hardest to make the thing perfect while simultaneously struggling not to damage the frail thing. The poor staff all looked terrified of your lover but this man was too enraptured by the soft thing he and you were making together to notice.
When you had suggested the idea of taking a trip to Build-A-Bear Pyramid Head didn’t hesitate to stand and accompany you happy to have you drag him anywhere. He was equally, if not more so, invested than you as soon as the both of you had entered the building. Everything was so soft and bright inside. He loved it. It made it better that you seemed to be buzzing with joy yourself your hand wrapped tightly inside his own larger one. It didn't take long for you to be dragging him throughout the store.

so, saw your tags and want to just want to elaborate.
i actually sat for a moment when thinking about how to respond to this ask because my first gut reaction was to think something similar to this. (lucky can confirm since i sat here talking to myself about it for a hot minute before i said, and i quote, 'i'll just pull the autism card and make them explain'.)
i want to be clear that i don't find mocking men who are subs or bottoms or effeminate or anything else of that ilk funny in the slightest. hence why i said right off the bat "i'm not exactly sure what about leo being a sub would make you laugh."
tone doesn't carry well over text of course, but i intend that to be read pretty seriously.
...that being said, tone doesn't carry well over text, and i try to assume that people aren't being malicious if it's ambiguous. so i'm not going to attack someone flat out if it's ambiguous; rather, as i did here, i just state that i don't understand their joke and, hopefully, make them reflect upon what about it made them laugh.
often times, i find (if it is from a place of intentional bigotry), that's enough to signal to someone i'm not a willing participant in it. and if it isn't from a place of intentional bigotry, it's usually enough to make someone stop, reflect, and consider huh. why did i think that was funny?
in intrapersonal communication, correcting for bigotry begins with little social checks like this one. when someone makes a joke, you tilt your head and say "sorry, i didn't understand that joke." it's generally more helpful than saying "hey asshole, that's homophobic and misogynistic. don't make jokes like that." the latter makes someone defensive right away, but the former can become the latter if escalation is required.
do i think this anon was being homophobic/misogynistic/whatever? i mean. i didn't like the joke. it rang poorly in my ears. so i called it out to my satisfaction until i get more information. so no, i wasn't "not caring much." i'd just addressed it, and until i get a follow up anon saying "well, it was funny because thinking about a guy be a bottom is lame" or something to that effect, i just choose to think of it as poor word choice and treat it as such.
WAIT WAIT WAIT, AHAHAHAHAH
I am the same person who asked about difference between Leo's and Donnie's smut side of the fics. First of all: Ralph being the gentle one makes SO MUCH sense and I have no idea why I haven't thought about it.
AND. After your answer I was thinking about it this whole day and now I have another theory. That's Leo, in fact, going to be a sub. AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY BUT IT MAKES ME LAUGH HYSTERICALLY ALMOST TEN MINUTES STRAIGHT.
i'm not exactly sure what about leo being a sub would make you laugh, but no, that's not it either hahahaha. feel free to keep guessing, though! i enjoy hearing people's speculations :D
and YEAH raph is such a sweetheart. i'm going to have so much fun putting him in a jar and shaking him a little c:

“So, this is the bird who’s been fluttering in our vents,” the antagonists’ eyes were dark, entirely too focused on the protagonist. “You’ve made some poor choices.”
The protagonist swallowed, subtly flexing against the ropes binding them to the chair. They smiled weakly. “I’m surprised you noticed me.”
“It’s been a while since anyone was able to infiltrate my home successfully. I’m almost disappointed you got caught.”
“You could always let me go.”
“Tempting, I do enjoy a good chase,” the antagonist wet their lips, making the protagonist shudder. “Cutting off escape routes, driving the prey into corners-”
“I’m not your prey.”
“No?” they moved closer, gliding with a deadly elegance. “Yet you ran so prettily.”
The protagonist glared, anger at odds with their rapidly growing fear. “And I’ll escape the same way.”
“That’s a lot of confidence for someone tied to a chair.” The antagonist dropped a hand to stroke along their exposed limbs, covering a grin at the resulting flinch.
“Your security system is down with the gate wide open.” The protagonist said. They tried not to stammer when the fingers crawled upwards. “If my team isn’t here yet, they’re on their way.”
“Yes,” they mused. “I have been thinking about that little problem. It’ll be so rude if they interrupt our alone time.”
Never thought I’d prefer prison. “M-More the merrier, right?” The hand danced upon their neck.
The antagonist’s grin was chilling. “Bird, if you knew the things I have planned for you… you’d be begging me to leave your teammates out of it.”
They meant to respond with something brave, something fiery. A strangled whimper escaped their throat instead. The antagonist tilted their chin, forcing eye contact. The protagonist shivered at what they saw there. “Or maybe you’ll beg for something else.”
They tugged futilely at the ropes, dread pooling in their stomach and breath coming a tad quicker. “I’ll fight.”
“You’re assuming that’s even an option.” The antagonist chuckled, looking thoroughly bemused at the thought. “Hard to take someone seriously when there’s fear in their eyes.”
“It’s not my base that’s about to be destroyed.” The words were quiet, barely a whisper of a phrase.
“I’ll admit, the plan was good. Did you come up with it yourself?” Their hand reached up to weave its way through the protagonist’s hair.
“Y-Yes.”
“Impressive. Sneak in, disarm my defenses, let the heavy hitters in with no fuss. Brilliantly executed as well.” The antagonist nodded appreciatively, and the protagonist felt a slight flare of pride. Haven’t failed yet, just hold on until the team gets here-
“Although I have to say, only shutting down the external system was an interesting choice.”
Only the external…their eyes flashed up.
“Didn’t you realize? Two systems?” The antagonist raised a brow. “Oh bird, and here I thought you meant to leave my inner rooms protected as part of a devious plan.” They tsk-tsked, shaking their head pityingly. “Was ignoring the central weapons a mistake too?”
Their team was coming, and they were expecting an unguarded base with open doors and deactivated cameras and no chance of a trap. Oh gosh, the protagonist had even sent off the safe signal… the team was going to be torn to shreds.
The captor laughed at the growing horror on their face.
The last pieces of their façade broke. “Damn you!” the protagonist finally howled, floundering in their bonds and biting at any part of the antagonist in reach. “Call them off you complete-”
“Hush,” the antagonist murmured, gripping the flailing head in a firmly gentle grasp. “It’s nothing personal.” their strokes did nothing to calm the protagonist’s panicked flails. “It’s just justice.”
It’s my fault. Desperation crept into their voice. “This is cold-blooded murder. You can’t-”
“An example must be made, bird. You know that.” The antagonist pursed their lips. “If the hunt hadn’t been so riveting, you’d be in there with them. You’re lucky I find you interesting enough to keep alive and out of the law’s hands. For now.”
I can’t save them. “Protect my team. Ignore them, or turn them in to the police or just do something to let them survive and I’ll…” The protagonist faltered. “I’ll do anything you want.”
“Anything?” The antagonist asked, eyes narrowing. “No deal.”
My fault. “But-“
“You really think I won’t strip anything I want from you? You think you can give yourself up freely and I’ll accept it as a gift?” They shook their head slowly, eyes intoxicatingly dangerous. “I’m a hunter. I earn the thrill of the chase. You think I’ll stop, get bored the moment you become uninteresting? I'll stop when you understand you never had anything to give. So when I call you my prey,” they smiled, teeth sharp and voice dark. “I’m not messing around, bird.”
The protagonist’s mouth went dry.
A sharp bang came from above. The antagonist leaned back, putting their hands in their pockets. “The public will be pleased to know a group of dangerous criminals are off the streets,” they said, tone suddenly casual. “The mayor might even give me a raise.”
Another bang echoed from above, followed by the sounds of a scuffle. "Please-"
"There it is. See?" The antagonist headed for the door, cracking their knuckles as they prepared to meet the protagonist's team. "I knew you would beg.”

The Distraction (Danny Johnson / Jed Olsen / Ghostface x Reader)
Y/N encounters Ghostface, a snarky and creepy silent killer. However, he isn’t as silent as he is made out to be when you hit him with your toolbox in defense. To stall time for your survival and the progression of other generators, you decide to humor him and distract him for a long amount of time for the others.
Possible Warning: Sexual tension, slight blood, slight violence, and Danny having perverted thoughts (up to your interpretation on what he’s thinking)
You slowly vaulted over a wooden structure within Autohaven Wreckers. The green atmosphere felt very chilling and eerie, you didn’t like doing your trials in this realm. Your eyes averted to an untouched generator. Thank the Entity you didn’t hear a chainsaw revving or the menacing lullaby sung by the Huntress. Y/N kneeled down and began to work on the generator, putting their toolbox to the side. Who knew you’d become a mechanic of some sort within the Fog.
“Shit.” You mumble as you cut your arm slightly on something within it. For a moment you had considered using your toolbox but it was better to just save it for another time.
Y/N sighed and pulled down a lever before reattaching some wires. The generators always confused you. Not in a way where you didn’t know how to fix them but how the hell did they power up the exit gates? Oh well, it didn’t matter at that point. You were forced to do this by a literal god.
You suddenly gasped when you felt a firm grip pry you away from your generator. It must’ve been the killer. Y/N aggressively fought back and wiggled with desperate grunts and yells. You somehow managed to escape his grip, how the hell didn’t you hear him? You shoved him away but he grabbed your wrist tightly.
“Let go!” You yelled, hitting him as hard as you could since he seemed to have dropped his knife. You recognized the killer as Ghostface. He didn’t seem to think that you’d be able to get away the first time. Y/N’s eyes widened in shock and curiosity when she heard him darkly chuckle in amusement
“You’re like that bastard King.” He said to you as you both struggled. David was always verbal when ”fighting” the killers. He grunted as you kicked at his thigh, desperately trying to rip your arm away from him.
“Since when did you start talking?” You asked him, humoring him in pure panic. Ghostface was a bit thrown off that you even responded instead of screaming at the top of your lungs. In fact, he doesn’t recall anybody saying anything back to him other than David King or Yui Kimura saying something snarky after a successful vault.
“You’d be surprised--agh!” He grunted as you smashed your toolbox into his face as hard as you could. This definitely threw him off since it hurt just as much as the pallet stuns did. Was that even allowed? He adjusted his mask to keep it from falling off. His chin sure as hell hurt.
“Sorry.” Y/N said to him almost immediately, stopping for a moment. You weren’t sure why you felt sorry for the bastard in that moment. You once did something similar with the Trapper when he accidentally stepped in his own trap, there was a moment of silence between the two of you as you both stared.
“What do you mean sorry?!” He asked you angrily but he didn’t lunge or hit you. He seemed just as confused and caught up in the moment as you. You threw your arms up in defense, it was a psychological thing.
“It was instinctual! What was I supposed to do, let you stab and hook me?” You said to him as he stood up. Ghostface was much taller up close, it was strange.
“Well, yeah. You’re only supposed to fucken wiggle or try get off of the hook. It said those were the rules.” He argued as you turned your head to the side in disbelief at his behavior.
“Since when did you start abiding by the rules? Aren’t you supposed to be a serial killer or something?” Y/N questioned him.
“Uhhh, since that thing started torturing the other people who got trapped here. You think I wanna look like that fuckface with the chainsaw?” He said aggressively but you didn’t seem to back down at all. He was referring to the Hillbilly.
“He already looked like that, dumbass.” You say to him as he paused.
“Oh.” Ghostface responded before shaking his head to knock some sense into himself and began to try grab your wrist again. he tugged you closer when he did rather aggressively.
“What the fuck am I doing arguing with my prey.” He muttered as you pulled away again, taking a few steps back.
Ghostface, from your observation, was easily confused when talking to people. You figured it was normal since, well, when the hell did a psycho like him have time to talk to people? You recalled a conversation with Ace when you were upset due to one of your first trials. He had been previously married and referred to himself as a ladykiller, humoring the idea of trying to flirt with the Huntress. He was a wise dude despite being on the run from guys he owed money to, overall he made a good replacement father figure for a moment.
Clearly it was a bad idea but maybe instead of getting hooked or hurt, you could do what Ace jokingly suggested. It’d also be a funny story to tell some of your friends when this trial was over but it was scary thinking this could make him even more mad or aggressive. Oh, well, anything not to go through the pain again.
“Has anybody ever told you you’re handsome?” You asked, cringing at yourself for such a poor choice of wording.
“You don’t even know how I look.” He said, somewhat annoyed but loosened his grip slightly as you put your hand softly over his.
“That doesn’t matter. I feel like we could get to know eachother. I’m Y/N, by the way.” You say to him as he stopped completely, baffled even.
“What?” He asked in confusion.
“Think about it, if we have a nice little chat then I’m sure the Entity wouldn’t mind. And don’t get me wrong, I’ve been curious about your artwork. Or I guess you can say photography. I’m sure you have a collection.” You said.
“Right, like a puny thing like you would even understand what I do.” Ghostface said to you, crossing his arms. Admittedly, he seemed to slowly forget his objective when he began to even talk to you. Even he didn’t know why he kept responding to you.
“A puny thing like me? Oh, please. I’ve seen my fair share of blood and gore on the internet. I bet your photos wouldn’t even make me budge.” Y/N said.
“Really, now? I have a collection of photos of you and your little friends.” He said, getting rather defensive. Such a fragile ego, you thought.
“Oh, so you take photos of me?” You asked, pulling him closer. He seemed to freeze up when he was inches away from your face. Despite wearing the mask, he felt vulnerable. Why? You were just a survivor meant to be slaughtered.
“I don’t mean it like that.” He said firmly, although, it wouldn’t be a bad idea since you were rather attractive to him. Both physically and personality-wise. The thought amused him but he shook his head slightly.
“Shame. I could’ve offered you a special photoshoot.” Y/N said, enjoying getting into character at this point since all the generators should be done soon.
“A what?” He said, finally flustered. You couldn’t blame him. A survivor was practically seducing him. A part of him wanted to give in since he already wasted so much time just talking to you. There were, of course, other needs he needed satisfied. The idea of him showing no mercy on you got him hot and bothered.
“A special photoshoot. Just me and you, uhh... Ghostface?” You said to him, resting your eyes.
“It’s Danny--I mean, Jed.” He said to you. You raised your eyebrows in surprise that he even told you his name, you could even swear your cheeks warmed up for a second. No. no, you thought. Do not get distracted.
“Jed, huh? Sounds easy to yell.” You responded with a smirk.
At this point, Ghostface decided he definitely wanted you. He quickly gave into his desire since he had his own desires and fantasies he wanted to put at ease. Plus, a survivor like you giving yourself to him? It sounded too good to be true in his own dirty, messed up standards. He silently smirked behind his mask. Hooking and killing wasn’t the only way he wanted to hurt you now. He saw this as a way to properly get back at you for hitting him with your toolbox.
What did you get yourself into, he thought menacingly. Unbeknownst to him, you were already one step ahead of him. Ghostface wrapped his hands around your waist and brought you closer to him. Y/N froze for a moment but brushed her knee against his upper thigh in a rather suggestive manner. She didn’t think it would work yet it did.
“So, when do you want to do this, baby?” He asked you in a lower tone. You felt your cheeks flush and your heartrate beginning to increase but you had to stand your ground for a few more seconds. You looked away for a moment with an unimpressed stare.
“You’re such a gentlemen.” You said sarcastically, pushing away from him by his chest. The feeling of his leather and fabric was firm, you kinda liked that.
“Now what?” He asked in frustration. Your eyes averted towards the tools spread out on the ground from the box. Y/N came up with an idea.
“Pick my stuff up for me and maybe we can do something... quick.” You said, tugging your shirt downwards suggestively.
“Okay, okay. Fine.” Ghostface responded to you sarcastically.
He turned to look at the tools on the ground. Kneeling down, he set the toolbox upright and began to put the tools back. Ghostface found it interesting how such small tools can play a big part in fixing the generators faster. He’d be pissed off if some random fucker like the Clown came and busted it up after long, hard work. You watched him actually do as you asked. It was somewhat heartwarming. No, actually, it wasn’t. You didn’t wanna catch feelings for him.
Y/N looked around, inhaling quietly. He seemed focused on picking up the smaller tools. You weren’t sure when to make your move. Suddenly, a horn blasted. A feeling of relief washed through your body. His head popped up as you quickly sprinted away from him. Ghostface whipped his head around.
“Shit, fuck...!” He muttered. It was at this point where he realized what you did. He felt angry at himself for giving into his urges instead of just hooking you and killing you and your little friends. Ghostface smashed your toolbox against the generator in anger.
Standing up, he put his knife away. Despite being furious, he still found you attractive and confident for even trying that with him. It fueled a different urge within him. Oh, he would definitely make you pay. Not from the hooks, of course. He smirked at the idea of it and began to walk off to the other door once he began to calm down.
Y/N, he thought.

Quick! Kiss Me! [Part 3 - Mammon]
Same rules apply from Part 2: thoughts are italicized and bolded. May be slightly NSFW because the boys have a crush on you and such. If anyone has suggestions for Asmo’s part or Belphie’s, I’m down to hear it. I kind of have one for Belphie but I feel it’s a little cliché.
Also, I’ve logged back in and started playing Obey Me! since I have a three day weekend and the “Are You Kidding Me?!” event is making me want to write those baby headcanons. Might do that next.
Mammon:
You’d been following a buzzing, bubbling sensation around the house. It was enough to make your teeth rattle at points and you wondered if one of the brothers were using shadow magic to stay on the fringes of your vision (or just out of it). Sometimes it would feel like you were right on top of it, your whole body feeling like loose change in a can, and just as quickly it would stop. The cold wash of going the wrong way was a welcome reprieve.
Exhausted, feeling like you’d lapped the house several times, you dragged yourself back to your bedroom. It wasn’t very romantic but at this point you’d had it! The only thing your poor brain could think of was texting them one by one and just kissing them. If you were honest with yourself, you wouldn’t even need to text all seven. If you were really honest with yourself, you just wanted to text one of them.
And he was in your bed, cuddled into your pillows and half-wrapped in your sheets like he was supposed to be there.
Was he asleep?
You resisted the urge to stomp your foot or startle Mammon awake. His jacket was tossed haphazardly over your small desk chair but his sunglasses had been placed with care on your nightstand. Mammon? You placed on knee on the bed, planning to crawl towards him from the opposite corner. Mammon tended to wake up swinging and flailing; you remembered Belphie yanking him off of “his” spot on the couch but not before he’d fluffed his pillow and took a defensive stance.
Your little brain tap was enough to make him snort and stretch but not open his eyes. Tanned limbs dragged themselves across twisted sheets. He sounded like he’d mumbled something but you couldn’t be sure. You were sure he’d scooped up another pillow to stuff his face in and squeeze to death.
Was that a giggle? Mammon gave a contented little hum, snuggling his face into the new, cool pillow. Mammon! you tried again. It was weird to speak with your brain. Could you raise your voice just by thinking it? You froze in the middle of the bed, Mammon snapping up with a slow blink and a confused slur (and a huffy demon gurgle).
If he wasn’t hugging the pillow, he probably would’ve swung his arms out or fallen out the bed and taken half the sheets with him. Mammon blinked again, his white brows furrowing as he scanned the room. He leaned forward and you barely remembered how utterly blind he was as you watched the sleep lift from blue-yellow eyes.
“So who was the lucky—“ Mammon started off in his fake ‘I’m not interested’ tone but the words died out before he could make them any more indifferent. “Your lips are still sealed shut.” he lurched forward, your noses practically touching. “Your lips are still sealed shut!” he whispered again breathlessly, the quickness of his words matching the excited pulse in his throat.
Mammon’s heart squeezed in his chest. His mouth dried and suddenly he couldn’t think of anything to say. This wasn’t how he thought your first kiss would be but Diavolo be damned if he’d turn it down! The demon could barely filter his desire for you, trying to keep the YES! GIMME! KISS ME, KISS ME! in his head and out of yours. His face started to heat up when the pact mark on your shoulder glowed a soft golden color, painting both of your faces in a candlelight-like glow.
The tiniest part of his awed brain could feel his mouth slipping open in shock. You were a vision with golden highlights. Golden highlights from his pact mark! It made him want to take you on a fancy restaurant date and see it again.
Mammon? you were waiting on him now, ever so careful. So considerate. That’s what he loved about you. You put up with a lot of his walls and his loud behavior but deep down you knew. He knew you knew, and he was glad you kept his secret.
The people who made the loudest echoes were often the most fragile. He was a giving heart that had been corrupted against his will, and he had not totally hardened with the fall. You saw those scars and chips and cracks and somehow healed all of it with your human hands. With your smile. Your touch.
Hell, you just saying his name could wipe centuries of suffering from his mind.
“Was I your first choice?” Mammon’s voice turned raspy and tight. He couldn’t bear to hear you say you’d gone to one of the others first. He’d seen you going from room to room, slinking around the house in a way only the second-eldest could master. Years of trying to slip out past curfew and make off with a few odds and ends no one would miss without getting caught had its perks. Watching you touch doors and turn halls gutted him and drove him to seek refuge in your room.
He’d consoled himself amongst your pillows—your scent—and tried not to cry. Even if you didn’t choose him, he’d still have you as a friend. Maybe an in-law. That didn’t stop the cold twisting in his guts or the burning anguish in his chest as he realized over and over that he was one of seven. The other six were better than him, he feared. He was just scummy, scummy Mammon.
You don’t think you are? You tilted your head as you looked at him, hands coming up to comb gently through his hair and massage the bottom of his ears. Your hands smoothed down his neck, drawing him into a hug that was just…very you. Comforting and genuine and wholesome. He felt it first physically, then emotionally as your pact mark burned a little brighter.
You dummy, it was so light, so teasing and gentle that Mammon couldn’t help but smile as you cupped his face and brought his lips up to yours. “Of course you’re my first choice. You’re my first man, aren’t you?”
Mammon realized you said that with your mouth--your open mouth—and he exploded into a rolling yayayayaya victory warble. His eyes were a molten yellow, almost as bright as Diavolo’s (maybe brighter). Tears beaded in his eyes and Mammon blinked them away, stuffing his face into your neck as he tackled you to the bed. A burst of heat rolled over you as his horns came out a hot skin touched yours, the demon greedily snuggling into like he’d finally found his home.
He was scenting you with all his snuggling and ‘settling’ but you didn’t mind, patting his back and running your fingertips across the seams in his black jacket. In all his ‘settling’ you’d been turned onto your side and scooped up by him. Mammon locked his arms around you, feet tangling with yours. He’d tucked you under his chin to keep you away from his horns. “I can’t believe you took so long!” he whined, fingers playing with your hair, “making me wait like that! I’m a busy guy, you know?”
“I can take your place if you’re so busy!” you saw a hint of Asmo in the doorway and probably Levi behind him before Mammon’s wing blocked your view. They’d been called by the noise Mammon made earlier.
“Get lost, the lot of ya!” Mammon flapped his free wing at them. He hugged you closer and you briefly wondered if this what a dragon did with their hoard. You laughed at the thought. “This is my human! And my human is spending time with their first man!” he’d made a little tent out of his wing, peeking down at you with pride and love and a little hesitancy that begged you to back him up because his embarrassment was outweighing his ability to run his smart mouth.
You responded by kissing his chest, little kitten kisses that climbed his throat and jaw and could definitely be heard with demon ears. Popping out from just under his wing, you pecked his lips. His nose just to catch him off guard. “It’s very personal time.” you teased, rubbing his shoulders as his wing unfolded to show you off, sitting happily atop your man.
There were scowls and little demon grumbles you’d never be able to understand, but you didn’t care. You couldn’t even hear them over the sound of Mammon’s purr.

Warnings: tickles
The Breakdown: Switches Izuku, Iida and Todoroki.
Prompt: Izuku is back on his antics, stuck inside Iida’s dorm with his two best friends. To combat his boredom, he hangs upside down on the bed. After Iida tells him a silly way to feel better, the boy is in stitches. Then, Iida gives Izuku something to laugh about.

“Oh come on Iida, you can’t tell me you aren’t bored too.” Izuku whined as blood flowed into his head.
The green haired boy was laying upside down on Iida’s dorm bed.
“I’m absolutely content with my encyclopedia thank you very much.” Iida responded matter-of-factly, “it may behoove you to sit up before you pass out, Midoriya.”
“It’ll give me more time to waste.” Izuku grumbled.
Hurricane season in Japan was never fun. Especially when the students are cooped up inside the dormitory, struggling to entertain themselves.
“Midoriya, he’s right.” Shoto responded nonchalantly, not even ceasing his embroidering, “you’re gonna get too much blood flow into your head and then Aizawa is going to beat your ass for giving him more paperwork.”
“You guys are so bori-blegh.” Izuku dumped weakly to the floor, holding his rushing head.
“We tried to warn you, Y’know.” Iida chimed without averting his attention to his book, knowing exactly what had happened.
Before he resurfaced, Izuku gasped gently. Jackpot... he had found Iida’s secret stash of snacks. That’s when he got an idea. He could style Todoroki’s hair.
He grabbed a few clips from the chip and cracker bags, stealthily rising to his feet. Well, he tried. He fell loudly right back down as his entire field of vision turned black.
“Shit-“ Shoto said while his body jumped. He put down his embroidery and rushed to the aid of Izuku.
“Midoriya? Are you alright?” He softly inquired, grabbing both of the boy’s hands, “is it just from your head? Have you eaten today? Did you lose your footing?”
For someone with parental issues, Shoto sure was a big comfort to everyone. Poor kid was also a worry wart.
“I’m good.” Izuku said breathily, “Remember? Head rush?”
“Ah yes. That’s right.” Shoto said as he gripped Izuku’s hands tighter. The greenette made his way to his feet, clinging onto Shoto for help.
“If your vision spots again, clench your butt.” Iida said completely nonchalantly.
Shoto and Izuku burst into laughter, and the half and half boy could barely support his friend, so they both fell to the floor.
“I’m serious!” Iida replied as he turns around, “try it!”
As the two boys continued to laugh, Iida rolled his eyes and hoisted Izuku onto the bed by his underarms. He then gripped Shoto’s arm and pulled him to his feet, “you two are unbelievable.”
“Is that actually true?” Shoto asked calming himself down.
“Yes!” Iida groaned, “Midoriya. On your feet and try it.”
Izuku was still in stitches, laughing his head off at the complete casualness of Iida’s tone.
“You want something to laugh about? Fine by me!”
“Ihihihidahaha nononoNOHOHOHOHO-“
Iida had dug into Izuku’s stomach and was currently squeezing vigorously.
Izuku’s arms shot up in defense, pushing on his attacker’s face. “STAHAHAHAHAPIHIHIHIT!”
Iida simply let out a fond chuckle, “Todoroki. Want in?”
“Hmmmm...” Shoto looked at his embroidery, out the window, then at the laughing duo, “sure.” He said rising to his feet.
“NOHOHOHOHO TOHOHOHODOHOHOROHOHOKIHIHIHI! HEHEHEHELP!” Izuku kicked his legs furiously, trying to escape the tickly feeling.
“You want help? Sure thing buddy. Iida, off.” Shoto demanded, turning to Iida with a wink.
“You’re no fun Todoroki.” Iida groaned with pretend sadness.
“Thanks...” Izuku said while panting. He slowly sat back up in the bed, only to be pushed down again. “Hey! What gives!?” The boy whined.
“I want a turn. You think Iida and I aren’t plotting something? You’re not as smart as you make yourself seem, Midoriya.” Shoto said as he picked up Izuku’s shirt.
“AH WAIT! NONONONO!” Izuku was fighting madly at Shoto.
“I didn’t want to do this the hard way but.” Shoto said a sigh as he straddled Izuku’s waist, “you leave me no choice.”
“C-can we- can we talk about this?!” Izuku whined
“Mm. Nope.” Shoto replied positioning his hands.
“Todorohohokihihi! Nohohoho!” Izuku was already giggling like a madman.
“Giggling already? You must really want me to go for your secret spot.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” Izuku gripped Shoto’s hands.
“Oh? But I would.” At that moment, Shoto wriggled his hands free and squeezed the pudge by Izuku’s bikini line.
Well now Iida knows why it’s the secret spot. The greenette threw his head back and screamed in laughter
“SOHOHOHOHOTOHOHOHO! NAHAHAHA! NAHTMY SQUIHIHIHIHISHYHYHYHY!” Izuku squealed as he writhed.
“Oh yes your squishy.” Shoto cooed, continuing his attack.
Izuku cackled as a hyper sensitive spot was attacked.
“Poor Midoriya. Your cute little squishy is just sooo ticklish.” Shoto teased, “such cute little squishy squish for me to tickle! All for m-IHIHIHIDAHAHA!”
Shoto fell off of Izuku as Iida drilled his hands under the boy’s arms. “IHIHIHIDAHAHA THIHIHIHIS IHIHIHISNT THE PLAHAHAHAN!”
Iida chuckled, “oh it isn’t? Sorry bud.”
“YOHOHOHOU LIHIHIAHAHAR! TRAIHIHIHTOHOHOHOHMYGOHOHOHOD!” Shoto’s laughter jumped an octave as two of his worst spots were now being tormented.
Izuku regained his strength and gripped Todoroki’s ankle, spidering his fingers along the boy’s sensitive foot.
“MIDOHOHOHORIHIHIHIHIYAHAHA! NOHOHOHOHO!” Todoroki was absolutely dying.
“No! You target my squishy! You get payback!” Izuku snapped.
“IHIHIHIHIHI GIHIHIHIVE! STAHAHAHAPPIHIHIHIT! MEHEHEHEHERCHYEHEHEHE!” Todoroki slapped Iida’s arm vigorously, praying that the taller boy would get his message.
“Okay all done Midoriya. Stop.” Iida barked, ceasing his wiggling fingers. Izuku soon followed suit, patting Todoroki’s leg.
“Evil... evil friends...” Shoto curled into himself after Iida placed him on the bed.
“Now then. Midoriya, stand up- HNGRH-“ Iida hitched his breath as Izuku latched onto his shoulders, swiftly digging in.
“C’mon Iida. You’re the only one who hasn’t gotten tickled yet!” Izuku cooed, massaging his hands into the boy’s shoulder blades.
Snickers leaked from Iida’s mouth, who was being the utmost careful as to not drop his friend.
“That’s right Iida. You are the only one...” Shoto noted while repeatedly poking the boy in the side.
“G-guhuhuhys- stahahahappihihihit.” Iida’s eyes were squeezed shut, “Ihihihi dohohohont wahahahant tohohoho drohohop hihihihim.”
“I’ll take the risk.” Izuku chimed as he kneaded his hands into Iida’s shoulders.
The ravenette’s booming laughter filled the room. “WAIHIHIHIHIT! MIDOHOHOHORIHIHIYAHAHAHA!”
“Yeah?”
“YOHOHOHOHUREHEHEH GOHOHOHNAHAHAHA FAHAHAHALL!”
“Eh. I’ve broken my arms twice at once. Nothin’ I can’t handle.”
Shoto chuckled, latching onto Iida’s waist and digging in.
“HRGNH- GOHOHOHONAHAHAHA FAHAHAHALL! MIDOHOHOHORIHIHIHYAHAHAHA!”
When Shoto reached down and scribbled against Iida’s knee, they buckled and sent the trio to the floor.
“Ow ow ow ow.” the two assailants repeated, unlatching from their target.
“I told you idiots!” Iida barked.
“It’s fine! It’s fine!” Izuku put his hands up in defense, while Shoto helped Iida to his feet.
Soon the three were sitting on the dorm bed, chuckling amongst themselves as Iida explains his interesting factoid.
“So uh. How much time did we just waste?” Shoto inquired.
“Hm.” Iida checked the digital clock on the nightstand, “Roughly ten minutes.”
Izuku groaned and threw his hands over his face, flopping dramatically to the pillow.
“Hey Iida.” Shoto said with a hint of playfulness in his voice, “did you know that Midoriya here-“
“Todoroki NO!”
“You don’t even know what I’m gonna say!”
“DON’T CARE! DON’T SAY IT OUT LOUD!” Izuku barked.
“Fine by me.” Shoto shrugged as he whispered into Iida’s ear. “Just play along. He’ll admit something and be super embarrassed.”
“Shotoooooooooo!” Izuku whined.
“I mean really. There of all places.” Shoto said a little too playfully.
“Did you tell him-“
“Super close to the other spot too.” Iida chimed in return.
Shoto shot him a quick thumbs up. Turning his head to muffle his own snickers.
“Did you tell him about my hips?!” Izuku yelled.
Iida’s eyes sparkled, his grin grew wide and wicked.
“No. But you did. Good luck.” Shoto said, patting Izuku’s stomach then returning to his embroidery.
“Todoroki you traiHIHITOHOHOR- IIHIHIHIDAHAHAHA!”
Shoto simply smiled as he continued to embroider. His friends’ melodious laughter was a wonderful addition to the white noise of the pouring rain.

Claire Novak's (Surprisingly) Not-So-Lame Day
2k
this fic is written for @dean-has-great-taste as part of @starrynightdeancas' gift exchange. thanks sophie for organizing this, it was a lot of fun <33 and i hope you enjoy this, gen!!
*****
How did Claire find herself joining Dean, Cas, and Jack for an excursion to the mall?
Well.
Cas had texted her yesterday, with an extreme amount of emojis and emoticons that took some time to decipher, asking if she wanted to go shopping with him, Dean, and Jack. Apparently Jack needed new clothes and they needed a gift for Eileen’s birthday coming up, and maybe they could go bowling or something afterwards.
And normally she would’ve said no way because hanging out with old guys was lame and she didn’t like little kids, but she needed an excuse to get out of Jody and Donna’s weekend plans of cleaning out the garage. Plus, Kaia needed to study for a test—she actually enjoyed school, the weirdo—and had requested no distractions.
So that’s how she found herself sitting in the back of the Impala next to a carseat, listening to one of Dean’s old cassette tapes (which wasn’t too bad, but she’d never admit it).
“What’s that?” Jack asked, stretching against his carseat straps to jab at one of the pins Claire wore on her leather jacket.
“It’s the lesbian flag,” she told him. Cas looked back at them from the front seat, smiling.
“This one?” Jack pointed to the rainbow pin on her pocket.
“It’s the pride flag.”
Jack considered that for a moment before announcing, “I want one. And this one.” He pointed to the mothman pin on her lapel, then the big-eyed, green alien. “And this one... and this one, and this one.” (Alex said she had more pins than leather on her jacket, but sue her, she liked making her clothing her own).
Jack, it seemed, also liked… unique clothing. The kid was wearing rain boots even though the sun was out and overalls with embroidered flowers. He dressed weird, there was no way around it. But so did Cas, so there was probably no hope for him, poor kid.
“Okay,” she decided. “I know where to get you some.”
Jack beamed and swung his legs. “Don’t kick the seat,” Dean told him, and Jack pouted at him.
Claire was surprised Dean even let a carseat in his precious Impala. Pulling out her phone, she asked, “Can we listen to my music?”
Dean started to respond with a “Hell no,” but Cas spoke up first, “Of course.”
Dean spluttered as Claire connected to the bluetooth connector Sam had finally convinced Dean to install. The old man didn’t realize it was the 21st century, apparently.
“I wanna listen to Gaga!” Jack said, leaning over to look at her phone.
At first she thought that was some baby talk, then she realized Jack was into pop music. Ugh. But it would annoy Dean, so...
Leaning in conspiratorially with Jack, she let him scroll through her phone and choose which song to play. When “Born This Way” started filtering through the car, Dean groaned.
“Really?” he asked, sending her a glare in the rearview mirror. Mission accomplished.
Jack clapped along and Cas turned the music up louder. “Great choice, Jack,” he said.
Dean, for all his grumbling, didn’t turn down the music, and Claire caught him glancing at Cas, who tapped his fingers on his thigh to the beat. Dean looked like he was fighting back a smile and Claire rolled her eyes. Dude was so whipped.
When they parked at the mall, Cas grabbed Jack’s hand before he could sprint across the parking lot. “You have to look both ways,” he reminded him gently, and Jack nodded.
“Claire’s gonna buy me pins,” he said, jumping onto the curb.
“Yup.” Claire pat her jacket pocket. “Good ol’ credit card fraud.”
“Woah, now,” Dean started to protest.
“You and Sam are the ones who taught me!” Claire reminded him.
“We’ll pay for them,” Cas said, opening the door to the mall. Jack skipped inside, his rain boots squeaking on the tiled floor.
“We’re doing what now?” Dean asked Cas, taking his hand. Gross.
“Come on, Jack,” Claire said, catching up to the toddler. “Let’s go get you some style.” Over her shoulder, she called, “Meet up with you guys later.”
“Have fun!” Cas called.
“Don’t get kidnapped,” Dean added.
As they distanced themselves from the old geezers, Jack grabbed her hand, and Claire startled a little. “Do you like dinosaurs?” he asked.
Someone passing by gave them a smile, and Claire realized people probably thought Jack was her younger brother. She let him hold her hand anyway. “Sure.”
“What’s your favorite? Mine is the bon-ta-sore-us.” He sounded out the word carefully.
“Don’t know. What’s the one with the spiky horns?”
“Ti-ce-a-tops?”
“Yeah, that sounds cool.”
“That’s my second favorite!” He started jumping from one colored tile to the next. “And the T-Rex. That’s Dee’s favorite. And Dad likes the steg-a-sore-us.” He peered up at her. “Did you know he got to see dinosaurs? Right in front of him!”
“You know what that means, right?” He shook his head. “He’s super old. He’s basically a dinosaur himself.”
Jack’s eyes widened. “He’s a dinosaur,” he repeated in a hushed whisper.
“Yup.” Spotting Hot Topical, she headed that way. “You should tell him that.”
Inside the store, Jack let go of her hand to grab a stuffed cat. “Claire! Like yours!”
Claire rolled her eyes. “Yeah.” So, she still had the Grumpy Cat Cas had bought her. She wasn’t cruel enough to throw it away when the guy was trying so hard to make up for walking around in her dead dad’s body. Plus, the stuffed animal was kinda cute. Not that she was going to tell anyone that.
“Here ya go,” she told Jack, finding a box of pins at the register. She brought the box down to his level and Jack ran over to look inside.
“I want a Doc McStuffins pin,” he said, plunging his hand into the box.
“I don’t know if they have those.”
As they rooted through the box of pins, she heard familiar voices and looked up to see Dean and Cas walking inside.
“What are you guys doing here?” she asked.
“I like this store,” Cas said and Dean rolled his eyes. Among the pleather and black, Cas’ dingy old trench coat—over a Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt instead of a suit—and Dean’s ratty flannel and boots only looked more ridiculous. She took it back—even Jack dressed better than them.
“You guys don’t have to be in here,” she told them.
“What, we’re too old?” Dean asked defensively.
“Yeah, actually.”
Cas poked at a toy and it squeaked. God, could they be any more embarrassing?
“Dad!” Jack called, holding out a rainbow pin. “Look, they have soo many.” Cas joined Jack in going through the pins and Claire asked Dean, giving his outfit a meaningful look,
“Was the Army Surplus store too trendy for you?”
“Did they kick you out of Sephora for buying up all the eyeliner?“ Dean shot back.
Touché. In a truce, she held out a pin with the bisexual flag. She wasn’t really sure what Dean identified as, if he even gave it any thought, but guessed it was close enough. “For you.”
Dean rolled his eyes but took it. “I’m not weighing down my jacket with this crap, though.”
“No, ‘course not, that would mean having any sort of style.”
“Can I help you with anything?” asked an employee with two nose rings and jewelry up and down their ears— so cool. Claire saw the way their eyes flicked between them, probably thinking they made a weird group, and she took a step back, trying to silently communicate that yes, she was shopping with them, but no, she was not as lame as them.
“Just looking,” Dean told them.
“I like your drawings,” Jack said and the employee looked down at their arms which were littered with tattoos.
“Thanks.”
“My dad has a drawing. It’s Enochian.”
The employee—Wren, by the name tag—looked at Cas with new respect in their eyes. “Language of the angels. Sick.”
Cas looked pleased. “Thank you. It’s come in handy more than once.”
The employee went back to looking confused and, starting to walk away, told them to call if they needed anything.
“Do you want anything?” Cas asked Claire, and Claire looked through the box. She grabbed a pentagram pin and, seeming to copy her, Jack grabbed another one, clutching several pins already in his fists.
“You like bees, right?” Claire asked Cas, spotting a “Save the Bees” pin. She held it up for him.
Cas’ eyes brightened. “That’s a wonderful message.” He glanced back at Dean and frowned. “Dean, they’re not going to bite.”
Claire looked over to see Dean shying away from a few emo teens. “Look like it,” Dean muttered, joining them. Jack lifted up his hands, asking to be hoisted up. Dean set him on his hip and Jack showed him the pins he’d selected. He held a dinosaur pin to Dean’s collar.
“Do you want one, Dee?”
“He’s too lame,” Claire piped up. Not for the first time, she noticed the healed over piercing mark on Dean’s right ear and pointed to it. “Looks like he used to be cool, though.”
“Yeah, guess so,” Dean said dryly. His hand went to his earlobe. “Pierced it myself, in high school.”
“I think you’re still cool,” Cas told him, and Claire fake-gagged, making Jack giggle.
Cas took the pins to the cash register where Wren rang them up. Dean added the bisexual flag pin and Claire threw in a pair of spiky earrings, because, hey, they were paying.
“15.36,” Wren told them, dropping the pins into a bag.
“My dad’s a dinosaur,” Jack told them, trying to see over the edge of the counter. Wren raised an eyebrow, Cas looked surprised, and Claire stifled a laugh.
“Claire, help me,” Jack said, grabbing the bag from Cas as they exited the store. Moving to the side, Claire helped him attach the pins to his overalls. A smiley face, a pride flag, a grinning Stitch, a sunflower, a dinosaur, and the pentagram. The pins clacked as Jack tugged at his overalls, trying to look at them all. Overall, a chaotic look, but it kinda matched his vibe.
“Lookin’ good,” she told him, and Jack beamed.
“I’m like you!”
Alright, she wouldn’t take it that far, but, “Yeah, close enough.”
Cas attached the “Save the Bees” pins to his trench coat pocket and it ended up crooked. Rolling her eyes, Claire said, “Let me.”
She reattached the pin and stepping back to look it over, decided, “You could actually make that coat look cool if you added more stuff to it.”
Cas looked down at himself. “Thank you.”
“Nothing’s gonna save that sweatshirt, though.” Couldn’t let his ego get too big.
“Dean said he liked it,” Cas said, glancing back at Dean, who was shooting an evil eye at Claire. He quickly wiped it off his face and draped an arm over Cas’ shoulders.
“Yeah, it’s uh… Charming.” He guided Cas away from Claire. “Don’t listen to her, she still thinks sarcasm is a personality trait.”
“Screw you, old man,” she called. Jack skipped after them and she checked her phone to see Kaia had texted her: How’s everything going? They drive you crazy yet?
They’re so weird, she texted back. Then she added, They’re not too bad.
“Come on, Jack,” she said, hurrying to catch up with him, Dean, and Cas. “Let’s go get our ears pierced.”
“Yay!” Jack cheered. He grabbed her hand and tugged her down the mall.
“Woah, woah, you’re not doing that,” Dean protested like the wet blanket he was.
“You can get yours pierced too,” Claire told him, and he faltered,
“I don’t want, we’re not—“
“You know you want to.” She let Jack lead her away and Dean called after them,
“We're never bringing you shopping again!”
Grinning, she turned to shout over her shoulder, “You know you love me!”

Type: One-Shot
Pairing: Fem! and Vigilante! Reader x Jason Todd/ Red hood
Content: cursing, a claustrophobic reader, little bit of angst, some fluff and a bit of violence
Y/N: Your Name, L/N: Last Name, V/N: Vigilante Name
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Angry wasn’t a strong enough word to describe how you were feeling. Enraged, infuriated and pissed off came close but not close enough. This feeling was so strong and so vivid you could practically see it, hell you could probably taste it.
Unlike how most people describe anger, yours wasn’t a red. No it was white, an icy hot white that seemed to drench every single one of your senses. White was in the corners of your vision, It was clinging to every single sound, it was in each smell, sharp and clear. You could feel it dancing on your skin like electricity, it covered your tongue and coated your cheeks.
It was everywhere.
And at the moment the icy white seemed to be invading your lungs and slowly turning into a dark black. Such a dark and dense color it began to be hard to breathe. You were in fact in the last place you’d like to be at the moment. Which just so happened to be locked in a closet.
It didn’t help that you weren’t alone. While yes, being alone would mean you would have to go through it alone. Go through the feeling of all the walls closing in on you as the air gets thinner and your head begins to spin as your brain fries from panic, as your entire body began to spasm and you blacked out from hyperventilating. But at the moment you would have preferred to be alone rather then let him, see you go through all of that. It was bad enough he had seen you slip up the week before while on patrol.
You had been patrolling with Batgirl and Black Bat, this was usually what you did. Since you didn’t get along very well with Robin, and Red Robin, well he scared you a tiny bit due to one patrol in which you saw him consume ungodly amounts of caffeine. You couldn’t keep up with Nightwing and were informed by Robin that Batman thought you talked to much. Batgirl and Black Bat seemed to to be the perfect fit.
However on the night in question you sort of wished they hadn’t been. It would have been easier to explain why you messed up and he wouldn’t be able to hold it over your head. It had been a dumb move but you were bored, patrol had been relatively quiet with Black Bat taking care of nearly any threat that appeared before you or Batgirl could even respond to the comm. Oracle had just informed the three of you to be on the look out for Penguin. He had been recently making many trips to a abandon warehouse. The three of you had been asked to make sure nothing happened. Of course you decided that divvying up assignments would be perfect so all three of you could see some action. Neither Black Bat nor Batgirl had argued so you each took an area to watch.
It had nearly been an hour since you had spilt up. There was no action on your end. You had just begun to give up hope when
“I see Penguin,” Batgirl whispered into the comm.
Excitement coursed over your veins and you found yourself bouncing up and down, you nearly threw yourself across the rooftops so you could join Batgirl in the fight. However-
“It looks as if he’s just casing the place... somethings off. What do you say Black Bat? Is something off?”
You didn’t want to hear that, Penguin was here, obviously something was happening more then likely it was illegal and you were itching to punch someone, Shaking your head you bounced from the balls of your feet to your heels.
One click came over the comm from Black Bat. She, agreed with Batgirl, leaving you the odd man out... well odd woman.
“I think we should just wait for now,” Batgirl remarked.
Begrudgingly you agreed, at the moment nothing was happening and you knew that if you charged in fists swinging and weapons raised Batman would have your head.
“Fine.” You sighed
It took you a minute but you moved yourself so that you could watch Penguin without “technically” leaving your post. Penguin stood a couple hundred feet from the door to the warehouse, surrounding him was close to twenty goons. He appeared to be talking to them and looking at his watch, suddenly one of the goons stepped up to him and whispered in his ear. Penguin nodded and waved a hand. All of the goons including himself began to move into the warehouse.
There were upsides and down sides to this.
Downside number one: You couldn’t see them anymore
Downside number two: This could be a trap
However there were more upsides then down.
Upside number one: You got to move into the warehouse
Upside number two: More then likely this was some kind of deal going down and you would get to punch a dude in the face
Upside number three: You were finally gonna see some action.
Lowering yourself into a crouch you quickly spoke into the comm.
“I’m gonna go in.” “V/N, don’t. Something about this doesn’t seem right.”
“I’ll be fine, besides how else are we supposed to see what’s going on?”
There wasn’t a reply, though your weren’t really paying attention close enough to notice. You had begun bounding your way towards an open window you had spotted earlier while scanning the perimeter of the building. You vaulted in through the window just barely making it; internally you thanked Nightwing for insisting upon doing acrobatics for part of your training and made a mental note to ask him for some more lessons later.
The warehouse wasn’t completely empty, it had two levels, the top was covered in boxes filled with packing peanuts. You briefly remembered Red Robin saying something about this place being owned by a former packing company, however at the time you weren’t really paying attention. In your defense Red Robin, at the time, had an mini army of at least fifty cups of empty coffee at his feet.
Creeping past the boxes you settled yourself in between two large ones watching at Penguin and his goons stood in the middle of the room.
“Where is he boss? Didn’t he say he’d be here?” One of the goons asked with a slight sneer.
Another rolled his eyes and scoffed, “I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t show, would make the boss look like an even bigger idiot.”
Penguin shot the man a look then he raised his umbrella, opened it slightly and a gunshot rang out. The goon fell down dead, a tense feeling came over you however, instead of jumping down and trying to apprehend him you stayed where you were. Someone else was coming, you may be impulsive at times but you weren’t a complete idiot.
It wasn’t long before you heard doors open, it hadn’t occurred to you that the comms might not be working, you just thought that Black Bat and Batgirl were just either hiding as well somewhere in the warehouse or were waiting for you to say something.
You can’t say that you weren’t surprised when you saw him. As far as you heard he was going straight, hell you where then when he told Batman himself that he was going to follow the Bat rules. You wished it didn’t hurt as much as it did, but seeing Red Hood walk into the warehouse stopping just before the center felt like someone shot you.
He was alone and you could tell from his body language that this wasn’t exactly a friendly meeting, that and the fact that all of Penguin’s goons drew there weapons at the sight of him.
“You rang?” Red Hood remarked.
Penguin narrowed his eyes and looked Red Hood over. He lowered his umbrella and took a step forwards.
“You came alone?”
“Does it look like I have backup?”
Penguin didn’t reply, he just looked up and began to look around the second floor. For a moment you thought he spotted you, but he kept scanning the floor. After looking it all over he looked back to Red Hood, then remarked,
“Search it.”
Your stomach dropped and you knew you had to get out of there, normally you wouldn’t mind jumping into a fight, but Red Hood’s business was his own. No matter how much it hurt and no matter how much you wanted to know, it was none of your business.
Slowly pushing yourself to your feet you waited until Penguin’s goons began to climb the stairs. Turning to go back the way you came you found yourself face to face with Scarecrow.
Of course it just had to be Scarecrow, the one villain who had a toxin that could leave nearly everyone incapacitated.
“Shit.”
Scarecrow laughed slightly remarking, “What do we have here?”
The next thing you knew something was being sprayed in your face. Instinctively you backed away from the liquid coming at you. Taking four steps back you suddenly noticed that the ground wasn’t beneath your foot anymore. Then you stumbled backwards and began to fall.
After that everything was a blur, you faintly remember hearing Red Hood shout,
“Damn it.”
Before everything disappeared and the nightmares took over. You awoke the next morning only to discover that had it not been for Red Hood you would have died. A rookie mistake, Scarecrow had snuck past into the warehouse as you were watching Penguin. Had you been paying attention to your surroundings instead of trying to find a reason to jump into the fight, you wouldn’t have been caught so off guard.
Not paying attention to your surroundings also got you into the mess you were currently in.
You, had been avoiding him, Red Hood- Jason Todd ,for the past few days. Not only was it embarrassing that you made such a dumb mistake but, the fact that you had to be rescued got under your skin. You prided yourself on not being a damsel in distress yet it seemed that you had times where you were one. It didn’t help that you felt violently angry at him, he was supposed to be going straight and yet he was meeting up with Penguin and Scarecrow. Every time you saw him you turned and nearly ran in the either direction. It had been working just fine until this evening.
You had been in the library of Wayne manor, grabbing a book off the shelf when Jason came in. Seeing him you felt a sharp spark of white anger, however instead of acknowledging his presence you decided to ignore him. A poor choice really, a petty one, and at the moment you didn’t care.
You began to browse the shelves when you spotted him moving towards you. Continuing to ignore him you moved down the aisle. He followed and you turned sharply moving into the next aisle.
“Y/N.”
You almost looked up, you almost blew it, however after many months of ignoring a persistent Tim Drake and an even more persistent Damian Wayne, you learned how to ignore someone when they called your name.
Moving down the aisle towards the back of the library, you should have noticed Tim loitering in the corner and Dick at the very end of the last aisle. But you didn’t, you were too keen on keeping away from Jason.
“Y/N, are you seriously avoiding me?”
You couldn’t keep it together, every fiber of your being wanted to shout YES, Yes! of course. Why wouldn’t you be avoiding him, you were angry with him, so very righteously angry... or so you thought.
You made it to the end of the aisle and you stopped, had you been paying attention you would have noticed the open door just behind you and how Tim was right behind Jason as he got closer. You went to leave, to move to yet another aisle when Dick moved into your path.
You side-stepped in a hope to slip past him but he followed you. Letting out a frustrated grunt you gave him a slight glare.
“Move Dick, I need to get pass.”
“Sorry Y/N, but no.”
You blinked and raised an eyebrow in confusion, Dick took a step forwards and took the books from your arms. You opened your mouth to shout protests when he shoved you straight into the room behind you. Your back bounced against the wall and your stomach flipped as you realized it was a closet. A second later you saw Jason stumbling towards you.
It seemed that he too got shoved into the closet, he slammed into you and you once again hit the back wall. The door slammed shut and you heard a faint click. Your stomach dropped and suddenly everything was dark.
“You two,” Dick remarked from the other side of the door, “are going to make up and you are not coming out of there until you do.”
You felt Jason pull away from you and then heard quiet cursing's. A light flickered on and you saw how small the room was, it was just the two of you alone together in a very tiny room. All the air went from your lungs and it began. You sank to the ground as the world around you began to spin.
Instantly Jason was sitting across from you not fully seeming to understand you were having a panic attack. And that lead up to this moment the anger was being taken over by the panic. Your hands were shaking and you eyes closed, you could feel his gaze on you as you tried to steady your breathing. But everything was spinning and the enclosing walls followed you, dancing on your eyelids as you felt your empty stomach revolt against you. Had you eaten something you would probably be hurling it up. Instead your entire body shook as you pushed back dry-heaving's.
Clenching your fists you let your nails dig into your skin trying your hardest to let the pain yank you out of the attack. But as your palms became slick with blood nothing happened. Opening your eyes you felt a fierce wave of panic come over you as you frantically looked around, trying your hardest to find your way out.
You wanted to lunged towards the door, but you were stuck. The room was so small, you could feel Jason’s legs pressed against yours, your heart began to beat erratically and you swung a bleeding fist towards the door. Weakly banging against it you wanted to cry out but the words caught in your throat. So you decided to try and bang your fist against any and every thing you could, starting with the walls that seemed to be getting closer and closer with every breath.
“Woah, woah, woah. Sweetheart calm down,” Jason remarked grabbing onto your wrist.
You shook your head feeling tears beginning to form in your eyes, hands shaking even harder you felt your entire body begin to shutter. Squeezing your eyes shut you choked back sobs. Pressing your fists your eyes you tried to force back the tears. A heavy feeling cloaked your lungs and it felt as though you were trying to swallow a brick.
You felt hands on your wrists, gently pulling them away from your face. Your eyes flew open and you began to once again look around erratically.
“Hey,” Jason said softly, “hey Y/N, look at me. Hey look at me, Y/N.”
You forced yourself to focus on Jason, he locked gazes with you and then you tried to continue to look for a way out.
“Eyes on me doll,” He stated and you looked back at him, “that’s it, Atta-girl. Now breathe with me, innnnn and outtt.”
He slowly began to breath and you took a deep breath in keeping your eyes on him, then let it out. Jason nodded and you breathed with him for a little while, slowly calming down ever so slightly. Still shaking however much calmer, he let go of your wrists and you clench your fists again.
“Your safe, don’t worry. Everything’s gonna be okay. I’m gonna get us out of here alright?”
At first you didn’t respond, then Jason pressed his forehead against yours and you could see his eyes, you were closer then you’ve ever been before. They were a pretty color, a greenish-blue, though at the moment they looked more green then blue. You also noticed how he had very light freckles across his cheekbones. If you weren’t freaking out you would have blushed, been embarrassed by how close he was, you would have probably taken a mental note about the freckles and how beautiful his eyes were. However, all you could think about was how small the room was.
Very gently touching your forearms, Jason stared you dead in the eyes. “Alright?”
You could only nod and grab onto his shirt in return. He blinked for a moment before his hand was off of your arm and around your waist.
“Is this-”
You nodded once again before he could finish his question, he pulled you in closer, your legs squishing against each others as you pressed you head against his chest and closed you eyes. All you wanted was to get out of there, to be able to breathe and stop panicking. You felt Jason pull you into his lap and then he began banging on the door.
“I swear to fuck that if you to dumbasses don’t open up this damn door I’m going to murder you in your sleep.”
You could hear Tim and Dick quietly talking on the other side of the door. Probably contemplating whether or not they should open up. Merely thinking about the door make your heart pick up pace again and your restarted breathing quickly. Jason hesitated before he banged on the door again shouting,
“If you don’t open this door right fucking now, I’m going to break it down.”
You heard cursing coming from the other side of the door and then a click, your eyes flew open and you watched as the door swung open. Lunging forwards you tumbled out of the closet. Air filled your lungs but you didn't stop there. No, you scrambled to your feet and went barreling out of the library down the stairs and out the door. Once you made it outside you took a deep breath in, fresh air sharply stung your lungs and you nearly collapsed into the grass crying with relief.
It had been a lesson of sorts for you, learn to watch your surroundings... and don’t assume things. You didn’t exactly know what was going on at the warehouse but you did know that despite your previous disbelief, you believed Jason. He was going straight now, staying clean and following Bruce’s rules. Because there was no way he could be nice enough to help you through a panic attack, get you out of a closet and... save your life all while being bad and killing people.
Though you’d never admit it, you might be a little biased, after all you might have a teeny, tiny, eensy-weensy little crush on him. It didn’t help that you found yourself wanting to spend more time with him, of course it wouldn’t be locked in a closet but... it wasn’t so bad. Being alone together.
Blinking you lay down on the grass staring up at the sky, there were no walls here to come in on you, nothing really to suffocate you. Closing your eyes you took in deep breaths and let them out. You heard the sound of a door opening and the grass crunching slightly. Opening your eyes you saw Jason standing above you.
“You okay?”
“Much better now, thank you.” You replied taking in yet another breath
He nodded and looked as if he were about to turn and go when he let out a sigh. Closing your eyes you waited to hear the sound of him leaving, it never happened. Peeking an eye open you found him staring at you.
“You know Penguin asked to meet with me that night. He said it was a peace meeting… turns out he and Scarecrow planned to ambush me.”
You blinked in confusion. You hadn’t told anyone that you saw him in the warehouse and as far as you were concerned everyone thought he just swooped in and rescued you. Something you suddenly realized he was doing a lot of. Why was he explaining what happened to you.
“You didn’t have to tell me that,” You began as you gave him a confused look, “it’s not really my business.”
Jason shrugged then rubbed the back of his head. Nodding he remarked,
“Yeah, but I just thought you should know I am going straight. Following the old man’s rules and all.”
This only confused you more.
“Why? I didn’t tell anyone that you were meeting Penguin, and I wasn’t planning on it.”
Jason shrugged as he turned to leave, pausing for a moment he sighed.
“I don’t know doll, I just don’t like the idea of you seeing me as a bad guy.”
A weird feeling began in your chest, it wasn’t like butterflies or any kind of fluttery things. It was a warm and soft kind of feeling.
Smiling up at him you rolled your eyes and said,
“Well Jason Todd, I could never see you as a bad guy.”
He blinked and then smiled back shaking his head.
“That makes me very happy, Y/N L/N.”
With that he walked away and the warm feeling began to spread from your chest throughout your entire body all the way down to your toes and up to your ears.
It seemed it wasn’t as small of a crush as you wanted to believe. Feeling a slight blush begin on your cheeks, you covered your face as you realized being alone with him wouldn’t be so bad. As long as you were alone together
