So I'm just practicing my trombone right? Out of nowhere my sister barges into my room to tell me about her volleyball shorts and then proceeds to tell me this (not her exact words but she pretty much said the same thing):
"Bear I really admire how you find time to practice everyday during the week and then go to rehearsal to play with other people, and then do more band on the weekend with your lesson teacher and just really being dedicated to what you do. Just thought about Anton's wedding band being kinda scuffed up and it's making me fucking ill. In a good way. Treating a ring like it's part of you to such an extent that you don't even think about trying to baby it or keep it extra safe/pristine. Letting it get little marks that change it into something totally unique. GOD that's so sweet...
#wearing it a lot and doing a bunch of stuff with his hands...#metal of his ring rubbing against the metal of his hammer etc etc#being a bit careless with his own body sometimes (unaware of his strength/size etc) and bumping his hands into stuff throughout the day#just... idk#the ring I wear for carlos I always babied. took it off whenever I did dishes or showered or was being rough on my hands#bc I didn't want it lost or damaged#and I wear it a lot less these days for that same reason (plus I'll take it off and then forget to put it back on)#especially bc it's a ring with inlays I don't want getting scuffed (it's tungsten with inlayed wood and abalone stripes all around it)#but a scuffed up gold band is sooooo so so so so good in my brain#you're adding your OWN texture#TO BE LOVED IS TO BE CHANGED!!!!!!!!!#OUUWAAAAA 🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭💕💕💕💕#♡: 🔨🎰🥃#s: it's happy hour#roz posts#jazz❤️🧱

The songs I do know (Cold Reactor, Distant Past, White Whale) are really good! I definitely am gonna try and see if I can get into more of their stuff. I think the lead's (Don't know his name, sorry!) voice is a very acquired taste and it kinda threw me off for a while, but I'm gonna try again! The thing with me is I sometimes get so overwhelmed if I try to get into a band that has a larger discography already and they certainly do LMAO.

#listen I think I have a right to experience A Lot of annoyance over all this because I had to see ‘criticisms’ like that so often#this is a particularly hilarious one the same level as the people complaining about Daisy and Billy being the only ones on the Aurora cover#(there are changes with the shoot but them being the only two on the cover is the same as in the book lmao ya’ll can not read apparently#‘it’s an insult to the message of the book because it’s supposed to be the whole band on the cover and not just the Billy and Daisy show uw#you are talking about the scene in the book where the entire band in interview is mad/bitter about how they ended up going with only DB#on the cover even years later while Daisy and Billy in their interviews gush over how gorgeous and iconic the cover featuring just them is#like … ya’ll are conflating a general sentiment those chars were allowed to express with what the actual scene was grrr#it’s one of the best funniest parts of the book too like I love that part…#and if the complaint was ‘I’m sad the other interviews weren’t as extensive at that part in the show’ totally would be valid crit to me#I would have liked them to show everyone reacting in interviews too (they did show them esp Eddie be unhappy about it but#your right there wasn’t as much specific exploration in the show of how the side chars were effected. But they’re still side chars with sid#plots in the book lol#also only Karen actually deserves to be explored as a char the rest I’m more than fine with getting less and then instead investing far mor#in developing Simone’s plot and arc.)#there’s stuff with Graham I do think could have been useful/worth while thematically if they’d had the 13eps and could do it all (and I’m a#Graham hater xd) but I certainly wouldn’t prioritize it over the things the show did focus on#and it’s not remotely high on my list of things they didn’t focus on as much as I wanted. ofc#in fact like I said… I thought it was so funny they did not gaf about the Dunne brothers relationship 😭#like it is an interesting dynamic in the book there are good scenes. but I’m obsessed with their choice to not give anything to any of#Billy’s dynamics that aren’t the love triangle points and Teddy. respectable af#vs Daisy and to a lesser extent Camila both have way more developed dynamics outside of him incred#(another reason ‘they made Daisy and Camila center around Billy’ crit makes me roll my eyes#like in the sense that the love triangle is elevated in terms of focus sure. and people are free to have qualms about that choice#basically saying the show prioritized the romance for the characters and char work is accurate. saying they did that more for the girls and#less for Billy idk what show you were watching

god I’m so torn. I have a few things I really buy rn but realistically I don’t think I can afford all of them. So I’m trying to weigh what I should let myself but bc I haven’t bought myself anything nice in a while
#I want to preorder the taz gn so that I can get the preorder keychain#and I previously preordered the exclusive special edition of the book of bill#but turns out it didn’t charge me when I ordered it like half a year ago and instead it charges me when it ships (in like two weeks)#so that’s a sudden $60 payment I need to decide if I want to do#bc I did not put the money away when I originally ordered it#because I thought it charged my card once I placed the order and that was it#so I’m trying to decide if I should cancel that#and then the Pokémon centre just released the kanto starters as Saiko soda plushes and I’m in love#I’d kill for the charmander and bulbasaur#and then I’m going to a concert next week which. while I think my leftover birthday money should pay for the hotel and stuff#I really like buying band tees so that I have something from the experience#but god knows that’ll be like $50#so I’m trying to decide which of these to go for#they’re all kinda time sensitive#two bc they’re preorders and the plushes bc I think they’re gonna sell out#and the tshirt is obviously from a specific event so that’s gotta be then#the other thing is while I’m planning on using my birthday money#that money is from my grandparents who (while that have told me that my presents from them are money and said how much they’re giving me)#have not actually. given me the money#and I don’t wanna be pushy but it’s also been a month 😭 and I’m gonna have to reach out to them and be like ‘please e-transfer me#I have to pay off my credit card please god you promised’. like I feel like an ass but I’d also like to be able to use my present#anyway.
