Actually obsessed with the difference in the whole Garp situation in the live action compared to the anime. In the la it’s a big deal like “Luffy how could you not tell us your grandpa is a vice admiral! This is so serious and relevant!!” But in the anime they’ve already seen this kid throw hands with god and declare war on the entire world so after the initial shock it’s just “luffy’s the grandson of a navy hero and the son of the most wanted criminal in the world? Yeah that checks out. Explains the crazy, must run in the family.”

I love the hc that darlin and Sam are both massive introverts.

(Sidenote: I absolutely hate the fact that the blueprint for most fictional couples is one extroverted and one introverted character, like let two socially awkward homebodies be together PLEASE)

Anyway, we already know Sam is, he hates get togethers. That's obvious from the way he talks abt the summit, also with the fact that anytime he's around a group of people he's so stiff and awkward (it's adorable I love him sm)

Darlin, on the other hand, could be argued for either one, but personally, I think they're a massive introvert but they've forced themselves to learn how to interact with other people like they aren't so they don't seem weirder than they already are. (We love them for that tho)

This brings me to the conclusion that, sometimes, they both with just agree that they're not going to something and call David like an hour before to let him know (This is completely due to Sam, if it were up to Darlin, David wouldn't even get a phone call)

Now I don't think this applies to the beginning of their relationship because Sam already felt really honored to be invited in the first place and would have felt like he was being rude if he said no, so they probably went to every pack function they were invited to for the first 4-5 months of their relationship.

Once Sam got comfortable with the pack however, he had no qualms against not going to functions anymore, so about thirty minutes to an hour before said function started, Darlin would call David and say something along the lines of,

"Look, I would give you some bullshit excuse about how something just came up, but let's keep it real, we just don't want to go, so we'll see you at the next pack meeting" (Sam would be the one to make the call, but he's TERRIFIED if David)

And then they proceed to spend all the free time doing nothing (as they should tbh)
