24->what's one thing you're proud of yourself for?

Oh geez, I'm...not so good at coming up with things like this, to be completely transparent! I always feel like I'm either responding with something completely superficial, or bragging on myself without truly deserving it. But let's see, if I had to come up with something, I think it'd be how I've been able to sort of dive into my new job (relatively new, anyway, since I've been there since August) despite it being completely unrelated to my original career path. I've always been a kind of introverted, socially anxious soul, who really, really doesn't like change, or being "the newbie", so once I find my comfort zone in a job (or in life in general, really), starting over with new people, and not really having the first clue as to how to even do this new job was (and still is) terrifying. But I've been busting my butt, trying to learn, and ask questions without letting my own insecurities hold me back for fear of sounding 'dumb', and it's...working? At least 90% of the time? There's still so, so very much I need to learn, and it's going to take time, but I'm somewhat more confident now that no one but me actually expects me to be perfect right off the bat, so I'm somewhat proud of being able to come to that conclusion without self-destructing, first 😅.

14->what's something you've always wanted to do, but maybe been too scared to do?

Alright, so I've been into music for pretty much my entire life. I've always loved how it can suck me into a movie, or show, and enhance what's already going on, on screen. Or how it can stir emotion, even unrelated to something visual. And I've always enjoyed singing, I've just been far too terrified to really let anyone actually hear me do so. It's been kind of a long-unachieved goal of mine to go in for voice lessons, just to see if there's anything there, because I've already dabbled in music from a band-perspective. But the absolutely paralyzing terror of anyone hearing my voice, and telling me it's actually terrible kind of keeps me silent. (Many thanks to my 'friend' from kindergarten for telling me in no uncertain terms that I could not sing, I suppose 😅).

20->favorite things about the night?

Ooh boy! The silence. The way you can go out, and hear nothing but crickets, and see the stars and the moon, and the glow of lights inside houses. For winter, specifically, the way the snow looks in darkness, and Christmas lights, and how you can see the lights from planes flying overhead. That, and there's just something extra special to me about coming home in the darkness, and going from feeling somewhat alone outside, but safe and warm as soon as you're inside.

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about
