I think Pearl and Joel in the winners lounge would bond. Like Pearl is used to feeling empty bc of double life and just that fact that everyone hated her so she's eternally lonely (that's another post but yk) with Scar she feels less lonely with but hes sent back every now and then. So having only him never worked.

Then Joel wins, and he's confused in the same way Scar goes. “Where's Pearl?” he goes, “Where's Gem?” but unlike Scar, Gem isn't there to explain things. Grian tries to they were the bad boys but without Jimmy there's a sad sense of melancholy. And so Pearl goes. There's was plenty of mounders. And they were close back then, as was she with Gem. Pearl exslains everything she lets Joel cry in her arms. she wished she had somebody when she won.

He and Joel bond, its easy too with someone who knows everything about your favorite person. She learns more about Lizzy and Etho. He learns more about BigB and Impulse.

Their close, with Joel its easy. Easier then Scott and Cleo who sometimes she can't get double life out of her head. Its just Joel. He teamed with Gem, her gem. He had to be good.

And Joel likes Pearl. When he apologizes for his double life, Pearl waves it away. She had forgiven him the second he had joked that Scar, she, and should team next season and call themselves the obsessed team. After Etho, Gem and Grian being obsessed with them.

Yeah please accept the Gem bonding. I think it'd be silly.
