but after a few years, shoko began to notice an uptick in the younger sorcerer's presence in her infirmary. and it was no secret what it was that brought him around.

"okkotsu, back again so soon?" your voice is a sweet coo- it always is when he comes staggering in to present you with yet another injury. you tilt your head and pout t him with worry. meanwhile shoko has to excuse herself for a smoke so she won't vomit from the sickening sweetness.

yuuta never questions shoko's disappearance when he comes around. he's too grateful to have you all to himself.

he's cradling his broken wrist poorly, letting his hand flop outwards at an angle it wasn't meant to be bent. its gruesome, the bone showing and blood staining his white jacket. but the difficult part isn't managing the pain. the difficult part is holding back the natural instinct to fix it himself.

"this looks nasty," you tut, replacing his hand holding the ugly injury with both of your own. you barely examine it for a minute before you're using own technique, and like magic his wrist repaired and his hand is facing the right direction again. "there we go" you give the fix a smile, squeezing his wrist first and then reaching for his hand and prodding your fingers around that too. you tell yourself you're only double checking to be sure everything healed properly.

it takes all of yuuta's efforts not to snatch your hand in his own and hold on tight. he can feel every muscle in his body relaxing as he gazes at you.

"thanks, doc" he says, and just like the last hundred or maybe thousand times he's said it, you smile just a little bit.

"anytime, okkotsu," you tell him, and you mean it, but something about this visit has you questioning him for once. your fingers finally still on his hand, a few wrapped around his own fingers, others pressed into his palm. your pinky stretches out to the inside of his healed yet bloody wrist, hovering against his pulse point. "but... it must be tiring, coming 'round here to get fixed up..." you trail off, catching his eyes even though he was clearly trying to avoid yours. "...when you could just heal yourself"

yuuta's face begins to flush with color and you can't help but squeeze his hand with your delight. did you think he was an idiot for pulling this stunt over and over again for the last few months? maybe... but were you the idiot that watched him waltz in here with every excuse under the sun- from his organs nearly spilling out to a minor headache- who was more than happy to sit and heal him anyways? perhaps...

"...suppose it can be"

yuuta's answer comes closely, and without much explanation to you at all. you only smile at him, dropping one of your hands from his so that when you leaned in closer to him, you could swipe his messy bangs away from his eyes.

"if i didn't know any better, i'd think you were looking for an excuse to come see me" your voice is a whisper, and also the sweetest thing yuuta's ever heard in his life.

okay so by multicolored titles you mean gradients, yes? so—you have two methods. you can do this on mobile or on tumblr desktop.

the method i’ll show is on the phone / personally it takes longer to do on desktop.

so !!! the app i use to change coloring is stuffbydavid -> after that, you would have to copy the code and insert it, i’ll walk u thru step by step bc it is kinda complicated eheh.

step one — once u open the app, it lays out all the steps. pretty simple! so you wanna start by referring to the first step, typing in your desired title for your fic. i’m using that as an example.

step two — now you can color your words! as u can see, it’s alr automatically set to horizontal gradient. there’s other options u can choose, but personally for my titles i always use the middle gradient for the more multi colored effect :3

( refer to here for the choices! three colored gradient and middle gradient are the best choices for a multi colored effect in my opinion / horizontal gradient is just good for two colors )

step three — after u choose ur desired option, now is time to copy && paste !! do not click the BBcode, u want to copy / paste the second option, otherwise it will not work. and make sure u copy the entire code. top to bottom

step four — now, u wanna log into tumblr via the mobile website on ur phone ( not the app ) u have to do it this way for a reason to paste the code . .

make a new draft then follow these steps.

open ur draft then press the settings icon near the top right

scroll a bit to where it reads Text Editor, click on the button near the right -> now switch it to where it says HTML.

now !!! this is where u paste the code. once u do that, save the draft -> or u can press preview to see how it looks.

this should be the final result !! hopes this helps 💟💟💟

More specifically how to set the numbers to make everything move. I know you said 15 to 20 layers so I was trying to set the location by 2’s but I think I’m just confusing myself and making it harder than it needs to be. (I tend to do that lmao.💀)

Ah I totally get it tho however for some reason OBS crashes my photoshop when I enter the gradient tool cause i've tried to do another gradient tutorial with gradient text and it kept freezing photoshop.

however since you know after effects there's an easier way in the video timeline of photoshop (or in after effects timeline the principles would be the same). i just know people are more use to frame animation from all the tutorials on tumblr here. you can't go back and forth between the two timelines and i also don't know an eloquent way to explain keyframes other then they are like "bookmarks" so i'm assuming you know what they are/how to use them.

GRADIENT DIVIDERS USING VIDEO TIMELINE:

i started with a 1080 x 100 canvas that you can reduce the canvas size to whatever width you want your div to be later it would just be crazy doing this on a thin af canvas.

in the video timeline this is what you want. a color fill layer and then a single color gradient layer (in the middle of transparency, notice how the upper dopplers are white that means transparency) which you will then rasterize.

2. Now that your gradient layer is rasterized you can start animating it using keyframes. You will use the position keyframe.

notice how the playhead is at the beginning of the timeline and i have used to move tool to move the gradient layer so that only the smallest bit on the left is being seen, that's when you will add the first position keyframe. then you will move the playhead to the end of the clip (to the right) and move the gradient layer to the right as well add the final keyframe.

3. You're done! i was able to take the below with giphy capture tool but it only allows you to capture like a minute lol so i cant do the entire thing with it unfortunately.

*NOTE: im manually moving the playhead back and forth across the timeline thats why the movement speeds are off/choppy and its going in reverse. im just demonstrating how if you are doing it right you should be able to see it move across the timeline without even pressing play.

4. file > export > save for web legacy as gif. (clip the canvas down to the height you want first)

this is the end result (reduced to 2.00f and 3px height):

TIP: if you want to speed up the animation just shorten the length of the animation overall. so move the brackets down to the amount of seconds you want (you can see at the top of the timeline 1.00f, 2.00f, etc, right below that is container like brackets [ ] you move). then you will drag your layer to that new end point (both layers) and you can also click and drag the keyframe to the new endpoint too. its going to default to 5.00f automatically.

hope this helps! its a lot easier if you are comfortable using keyframes. you could even add multiple colors too and have them rotate out or follow right behind each other using key frames. each color would be on its own layer or you can do multi per layer just make sure to use transparency appropriately.

i find it very helpful when i start sketching out my artwork, i tend to draw it rlly small on the canvas so i dont stress too much on the details of the sketch and i zoom it out later on where i do another sketch over it <3

I dont do lineart, i just sketch and go straight to coloring/shading etc. cus i can always fix it up with rendering later and i also try to not focus too much on the characters outfit details cus im lazy and also cus when i zoom out and as long as it looks like how its supposed to look, then im happy

For rendering, i usually merge all my layers together and paint over it or you can always just add a new layer on top of everything and paint on that layer!

I also add like a noise effect on all my works so it looks decent and gets some texture thing lol (opacity 15-20%)

im not the best at explaining , i can always try to do art tuts if you guys want some as well :) i use ibispaint to do my art btw! Also heres a speedpaint, so you can see my process! hope this helps, much love!!! 🩷
