it's obviously not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things but the societal idea of "witches are Girls and wizards are Boys" is so lame. first of all if you could do actual magic why the fuck would you give a damn about the gender binary? the very physical laws of the universe are yours to defy. second, women should be allowed to call down terrible lightning storms with their Power Orb and men should be allowed to cackle madly and zoom around on a broomstick. that's feminism 101.

So I had le first session with the original party!

It went super well!!! The one player I and Druid friend were worried about was perfectly fine and it was awesome

However, Otto has quickly become the very funny trope of being a very sweet guy but totally oblivious to people flirting and finding him attractive

Like I did not expect this but here we are

Everyone keeps acting like as a druid I'm just boring and not as interesting or violent as wizards or warlocks but they'll all see when I finally perfect my new spell, Himalayan Blackberries Growing Inside Of Your Blood

So

Me and the one player that vibes well together made it!!!!

I’m so fucking happy

And the other character is a Druid and they literally told me they’re gonna choose a bird as their form when they get to that level so we can do bird things together

I’m doing a one shot with yet another random group

It’s basically a try out to see how the new players (me included) mesh together and with two existing players

The DM said she can only take three on and there’s five new peeps

So we’ll see how it goes

I won’t be too sad if I don’t make it but I plan on just being my usual self

And my character is adorable if I do say so myself

His names Otto he’s an owlin paladin

He’s based on the tawny owl

And he’s a gentlebirb

His faith is a big part of him and he just wants to bring peace and comfort to others

It’s a homebrew campaign but basically Otto was too kind and gentle at his church position and left to find a better fit (aka the one shot/possibly campaign party)

Funny story I was feeling the Depression(tm) for reasons last night

And I was like 1) hungry but not for meal but Cookie so I got some insomnia cookies and 2) had ideas for the dnd characters I made but didn’t have a game for

So I decided since WOTC and whoever else owns dungeons and dragons have like story books I’d just write a story for them using dnd

I started writing out their races, age, and class and then I made the like outline of how they meet and how the story gets going

I’ll probably write some later today

But anyway

The main characters are:

Mardon, an Autumn Eladirin fighter

Eliri, a half-orc warlock (the same I posted about a little while ago)

Gwen (short for Gwendolyn) a half-elf rogue and bard

Cas (short for Cassius 😉), a tiefling paladin

Mardon is old even by elf standards

He’s a career military man who just got tired of losing the people under his command especially because they see each other as father figure and child figure. When he first joined he thought it was a noble cause but now he realizes it’s just never ending and pointless so he escaped to the material plane in the hopes of finding the good in the world again

Eliri is simply trying to figure out what’s going on with her. Her adoptive family suggested finding a church or temple of Selune since they can help with any physical and/or spiritual harm. Eliri is very sad to leave them but she doesn’t want to make them worry or hurt them.

Gwen wants to track down her birth parents but has become a higher-up in her local thieves guild. She doesn’t mind the work but it nags her that she doesn’t know who her biological parents are and why they gave her up.

Cas is an older dude. He’s also made a career out of being a paladin and rising through the ranks of his church. He coincidentally is part of the church of Selune.

And I totally didn’t make Eliri’s adopted family live close to a Shar temple or anything lol

I gotta leave soon but I’m wearing my work clothes (black and white striped button down with black undershirt and black jeans) but I don’t want to wear my tennis shoes so I’m gonna wear my black floppers lol
