I planted flower bulbs in my garden and put sticks in the soil to mark where I planted them. But now I'm thinking, what if I accidentally put a stick right above the bulb, where it'd otherwise sprout?? What if the bulb has to fight to grow around the stick?

Then I thought, well, if I saw that a bulb sprouts right at the stick, ill just take the stick out and put it a bit to the side. But by then, the plant will already have grown so much and fought hard to adapt to the stick. If I just put the stick somewhere else, wouldn't it think "My suffering and fight was for no reason? It wasn't to make me stronger or to test me, it was really just an accident?"

Anyway, now I'm feeling a very awkward kinship with god.
