Here, have a fairly light sketch dump with two relatively complete sketches and some of the process for the main Zanmu one. Also, Gensokyo's specalist girl makes an appearance here too

Artist's Notes;

Zanmu is such a fun character to draw, like, there's so many little aspects in her design that you can emphasize, and her colour palette is so satysfying too. The reason I ended up drawing this was because when I was scrolling on Pinterest I found a specific pose that just screamed Zanmu to me (it was the skull that did it for me) and I just had to draw her in that pose. I did end up taking my liberties with my reference though, and also I am not drawing feet, I just straight up don't like it, and this is mainly something more on the sketchy side so it didn't really matter lol. Also, IDK too much about the hands, I'm usually pretty good with them but I struggled with them a bit this time. Also Zanmu is sitting on nothing because I just didn't feel like drawing what she was sitting on (plus I already drew in the clothes and including what she was sitting on would mean having to change the sleeves and I just didn't wanna do that lol). Also realized that I should probably start trying to improve on drawing frills in clothing, and I tried a new technique for drawing them. I do like how they look, but at the same time it can still be better.

I do love how Zanmu's pose turned out the most in this batch of sketches. In my process, I put the reference image on the canvas and then roughly blocked in the silhouette. One change I knew I wanted to make since the beginning of the sketching process was opening up the space between the bent arm and body more, mainly to make the silhouette of the pose clearer (even though with the addition of the clothes it does get closed up a lot). I also wanted to turn the torso towards the viewer and change the position of the legs to something more cross legged/casual. In another sketching pass, I just kinda quicjly scribbled what I wanted the pose to look like just so I could get my idea out and I'm glad I did that because that helped me focus more on the pose itself rather than the small details. Afterward, I did a sketch of the body, clothes, and hair all together and then coloured it to get the coloured Zanmu sketch!

Again, I could've done a better job with the feet and the legs themselves for that matter, but the nice thing about sketches is that they don't need to be perfect, and I was more so focused on the gesture/feel of the pose rather than the minute details. With her facial expression, I knew that I wanted something very specific with her eyes, so I just simplified it into this "almost closed" eye and I do like how it turned out a lot. Also, a problem that I often have drawing Zanmu is that in the poses I put her in, I don't really know how best to draw in those triangle cut outs she has, so instead, I added these little triangle details onto her sleeves and pants to add some visual interest and allude to them instead, also because they can kinda allude to a crown and Zanmu is the king of Hell so it fits lol (also, love it when people add details like that onto sleeves sm lol). The hair and tassles did a lot of heavy lifting when it came to making the drawing have a nice flow to it, and I have the headcanon that Zanmu is just able to make those float on there own by.... honestly I don't know, I just like the idea of her tassles defying gravity and floating all the time. Also IDK if you can see them, but I did make sure to include her scars as I'm basically adding that as a part of my way of drawing Zanmu. It just adds a certain something, y'know? Also found a specific reference for the skull and made it the red that it is in Touhou 19, and also because drawing skeletons and skulls is just fun lol.

Now onto Reimu, so that face drawing was mainly there just so I could get a better idea of how I wanted to draw her face in the future. My main concern was trying to make it different to Keiki and Zanmu's faces, so as I was sketching hers I had the drawings of Keiki and Zanmu's faces turned on to make sure I wasn't drawing the same thing again. Down here I included this little test I did where I hyper simplified the eyes of the three faces and just traced over their face shapes, noses, eyebrows, and mouths. While the nose is the most consistent trait shared among the three of them (tbf that can just be chalked down to an aspect of my style), I feel like the three are different enough from each other to where they don't have same face syndrome, even if you simplify the eyes into dots and also didn't include the detail of Zanmu's scars on her face.

I'm obsessed with giving Reimu these tiny little eyebrows for some reason, IDK it just works for her. I also really like using a red as a highlight for whenever I draw her hair black, mainly because it helps to give the illusion that her hair is just a really dark brown and incorperates her main colour of red into another aspect of the design. I also wanted to try and draw Reimu's eyelids differently to try and imply monolids but tbh IDK how well that reads. I also like how her pupils turned out, as I'm experimenting with different characters in my style having different kinds of pupils. I didn't even bother properly rendering her clothes, so I just did them linelessly (I think I wanna try drawing in my lineless style again for a future piece sometime as I kinda miss the feel it had). I of course had to give Reimu her big bow, and also use that specific shade of red. IDK what it is about that shade of red specifically, but I just love it, it looks so nice to me you have no idea- Now that I think about, I kinda wanna draw Reimu more now, as I feel like I can still do some more experimenting with how I draw her eyes specifically. Also because I've got some ideas when it comes to how I wanna draw her body type.

THIS IS MY LIKES AND DISLIKES OF CHAOS THEORY ⚠️Spoilers below cut⚠️

When i first finished this season, I too like some people, was skeptical about it. I get why some people say its bad, I just thought it was very different from cc. At points the characters didin't feel like themsleves, the way some of them were written and the designs gave me a real hard time to get used to them. Also i felt as if it was just too much to process at times so i rewatched it and my final answer is that its a good show the pacing is incredeble, the plot, the suspence and character development. i just had a hard time getting used to everything new? Ig. I'm still doubting whether its a 10 but sure thing is that it was a very good first season its a easy 9/10. So here are the thinks i liked abt it:

-THE WAY THEY POTRAYED EVERYONES TRAUMA/STRUGGLES , Sammy having anxiety, Yaz overcoming her ptsd, and KENJI. MY BOY. That must have been the best breakdown i've seen in animated series. Whoever wrote that scene. Wow. It was the best thing in the whole show honestly. His vision gtting blurry, having truble breathing. The panick. Wow. I CANNOT SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH.

-Ben and Sammy duo? Hello? Im srry to say but you might just be better than Yaz and Ben duo. Idk i really loved them.

- "Benjamin."

- Showing Yaz is doing better. Despite her ongoing struggles, she has clearly grown and matured the last 6 years, and the way she calmed Sammy in the sinking van? Ig all those therapy sessions and college paid off. That scene is a clear illustration of the progress she has made. I mean sammy did say "i can tell shes still struggling" but there wasnt really a clear scene of her getting stuck in place as she used to. So my guess is that it was just Sammys anxiety and the fact that they didint talk much. Bc then Sammy was surprised how she kept herselve together. So yeah

-YASAMMY. NOTHING MORE TO ADD.

-UM SAMMYS CHARACTER?? HELLO? GLOW UP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, i loved her sm. She moved up to my top 3.

And her anxiety? It was so well shown too

-the fight between Sammy and Yaz felt so natural and not at all forced. They both had valid points and in the end they did understand each other and were on the same page.

-Ben being Ben in almost every episode

- Yasmina's "boo."

-Brooklynns design?? Majestic to say the least.

- ingore what i said ealrier abt the acting out of character. They do remind themsleves they just grew

Well, all except Ben...

-Kenjis new voice actor, he did a real good job, as much as it doesn't sound like him, he really captured some emotional scenes very well.

- The robot lady. THEY REALLY SAID TAKE A WOMAN AND MAKE HER CREEPY ASF. I was genunanly creeped out. And the detail that at the ranch if u listen closesly u can hear the whistle. Hell nah that was scary.

-Benrius Ben and Darius friendship, okay actually u can't tell me u didint feel it too, the tention between ben and Darius cmon we all know what u are Ben stop making up girlfriends in Europe

-Brooklynn turning bad, or from what we are told worked for bad people ig. Personally as much as it shocked me, im sure theres a good reason as to why and i cant wait to hear more abt in season 2.

-I can now undertand what everyone meant in reviews saying "its more mature" not only in the more death and dinos but it woyud be kind of confusing for a younger audience to undertsand some stuff in this show.

-I really liked Daniels kon death, maybe it wasn't necesarry but im all in for that dark death scene.

-Lastly the comment Sammy makes when Ben asks how bumpy got pregnant, and the yazs smirk. Gurl i was suprised they added that but i loved it

Now, the things that i didint like and why:

- First of all, Darius being in love with brooklynn. I mean i get it but i also dont get it. In my opinion, there shouldn't have been a different reason as to why Darius was the most effected by her death. They were close and she died. Its okay to be really effected by someones death and not bc u liked them, and i also do believe that the reason for him not showing up the night she "died" should have been smth more serious. Then again i get it bc now he felt a lot more guilt bc it was for a not so important reason he didint show up and thats why he didint tell anyone. Well axtually it isnt that bad, but i just felt it was forced for the plot. This again could be bc i started to like kenlynn and now they turned the tables completly but sure.

-Brooklynns voice actor. I just couldn't connect her to brooklynn? She sounded a lot different, not a major bad thing it was just hard to get used to.

-Ben having a gf, or supposedly having one, u telling me this man has a gf:

I thought it funny but yk that man is a homosexual

- and lastly, Brooklynn being alive. This might sound bad but it made sense for her to die. And i was kinda lamed out that she wasnt dead. (Pls ironically enough, just weeks ago i begged for her to be alive.) But like the way everyone suffered bc of her death, going throught the 5 stages of grief, and the way the show was played. It just would have been better if she died, all those flashbacks, the emotional moments, i mean its not gonna be the same when i rewatch it bc i know shes alive. Anyways enough abt this.

Actually i have nothing more to add to my "bad stuff" list but i might come up with smth later. Bc i will be rewatchibg it obviously. Ig lastly i just wanted more episodes how dare they cutting the season of right there.

it was the day of super bowl 57. the kansas city chiefs were playing the philadelphia eagles.

you were about 4 months pregnant and still had only told your close family and very few friends just till you passed your third month. you and travis had been planning on telling the guys today after the game no matter who won.

“oh my gosh hi y/n!!!!!” brittany said to you with open arms, as you walked into to locker room with travis following suit. you went up to brittany and travis went to talk to patrick and a few of his other teammates.

you hadn’t seen brit for a while because due to your pregnancy and the sickness that came with it, you had to skip out on many games in person. although you always supported from home, you had missed experiencing them in person.

“hi, brit! aw, i missed you so much!!” you said as you hugged her back.

“oh, girl i missed you more!! how are you?” she said smiling at you as she leaned down to pick up sterling who had been trying to get her mom's attention

“im good hun! how are you guys? my god, she’s getting so big! hi ster!!” you said as you smiled at the two-year-old in her arms as she smiled back at you.

“oh, we’re good! ugh i know they grow so fast!! wait till you see bronze he’s so big already!!” she said with a frown on her face

she has been pregnant twice so she thinks she would be pretty good at detecting it in somebody else. she noticed the glow, and how you had been eating tons of junk but that honestly didn’t faze her much. what threw her off was your outfit she didn’t think much about it until now. you were wearing an overly large hoodie with travis’s jersey number and said “mrs kelce” on the back. she looked down toward your stomach and noticed that the hoodie wasn’t as oversized as it should’ve been. she kept quiet about her suspicions though not wanting to be wrong.

the chiefs had beaten the eagles 38-35 and everyone was ecstatic. you and the rest of the girls were all making your way to the field to find your husbands.

as you walked through the large crowd of reporters, families, players, and interviewers your eyes were finally met with the ones you had been looking for.

with a large smile on your face, you ran to your husband.

“good job baby!!!! i’m so proud of you.” you said with a huge smile on your face as you jumped into his open arms and placed multiple kisses on his face.

“thank you, my love. you know i had to do it for my girls.” he said as he smiled down at you and you smiled back leaning up to kiss him.

i feel like she would be an art student too so she understands the work and stress that goes down in assignments and tests. occasionally you two would sit together and work on your assignments together but most of the time yall prefer doing it separately. it’s nothing personal but you two agreed that nothing would get done so it’s better to do your thing alone. mikasa honestly admires your creativity so much and is just so impressed by your talent. she’s just so proud of you she’ll be like “that’s my partner!!” but plzzz i beg you to compliment her art because it makes her so happy that you think she has potential when she really does :(( sometimes you sit at starbucks with her and go over some ideas and brainstorm together, showing rough ideas while drinking iced coffee

he really loves the quietness in the room with some music playing through the speaker connected to your phone. it’s not anything loud or chaotic. mainly cigarettes after sex cause it’s giving levi so much. he tends to give some suggestions with your work on how it can be better and most of the time they’re actually helpful and you look at him with squinted eyes wondering if he’s secretly an art student. he likes you watch you work while he drinks his tea and you drink your iced coffee or redbull (i love redbull sm). at night however, oh god. you love art so much that you’re willing to stay up till 2 am drawing random things and it’s not even an assignment. this man is DRAGGING you to bed and your literally just fighting for your life to go back and finish that sketch but he makes you sleep and you get so pissed about it but fall asleep when your head hits the pillow😭

they’re like armin but with some extra energy. they are genuinely so curious with what you work on and what kind of materials you use. if you’re working on a canvas they love seeing how well you use acrylic paints and mix them to make a new colour and they find it so aesthetically pleasing and they don’t know why. they just stare at you like a god/goddess with heart eyes. they love it so much they asked you to teach them basics. you of course said yes but poor hange just could not understand what was happening i feel so bad for them. you both came to the conclusion that hange was not made for art but they still admire it.

this bastard literally teases you but you know he means well. he actually helps around a lot which shocks you. if you needed something, he will speed run to get whatever you need. let it be water, paint, tissue. whatever it is, he suddenly becomes a track star and gets what you need. even though he teases you, he loves what you do knowing damn well he can’t do it. he does tend to distract you though just so you can pay attention to him while you’re working and you just look at him like ‘boy wtf-’ but in the end, he’s so proud of you and he does love you. he just likes to make fun of you but dw he’s a sweetheart and doesn’t mean it. he just has ego issues PFFTT

Honestly her body shape has really changed since the original. But I’m probably still gonna doodle her in the original circle face.

Also the simple outfit is what actually underneath the blankets/ her sleep wear outfit. And her cloak like thing before sentience did show her neck and had a hoodie on the back before it was attached to her collar thing and made to have strings.

Just got back from watching War of the Rohirrim and ooooh do I have thoughts

Firstly! Did I drive an hour to my closest amc theater just for the popcorn bucket? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes! Look at how ridiculous this thing is, I love it

And fun fact! The hands pieces come apart and fit inside the bucket part for easy storage :)

I really wasn’t sure what to expect, I was excited to have a new lotr movie in theaters, and an animated one at that! But I didn’t have massively high hopes with what’s come out recently. Was pleasantly surprised though! Stays pretty true to the books, music is amazing, and the character design is v cool (in love with all of Hera’s outfits), solid like 7/10 imo

As much as I loved the character design, the animation was a little choppy. That one forest sequence esp was just… not it. The backgrounds were beautiful, but the melding of 3-d background and 2-d characters was far from seamless. Anytime they included 3-d elements it looked so bad😭

The character motives and arcs were also kinda weak. Like- Wulf and Hera both felt really one dimensional. I did love Wulf’s general Targg, and Olwyn- absolute badass love her sm

I thought they did a good job keeping to Tolkiens story and embellishing to make it a full length film without drastically altering anything. They included literally everything from the story into the movie- honestly impressive. And the way they explained how some of the legend was passed down and some of the story was forgotten was a really smart way of explaining why we know so little of what happened

HATED the Gandalf shoe in at the end. Sauramon makes sense to be there, he’s in the story, but Gandalf??? What are you doing here sir? And asking about rings??? Literally makes no sense with the timeline but go off

Highlight was def Hama. New fave lil guy spotted. They can’t put a little botw link lookalike twink boy in a movie and expect him not to be my favorite- like obviously I’m obsessed, look at him!

I just wanted to say your posts single-handedly made me like Sho and I made a new account with him as my starter.

I'm still not through with ch2 on my first account (why are the battles so hard I only have 2 SRs to help me and rainbow apples are so limited T-T) so at that point I'd only seen Sho ignore mc and remember getting a short campus event where he literally goes "Oh it's just you, what do you want" or something along those lines so I thought he'd be just as bad as Leo lol. And ngl his design wasn't one of my favorites? But I'm the type who quickly grows on whoever I decide to like so now I love him and his silly bandana and the fact he literally wheels around with Bonnie in fights lol.

I'm especially curious about the Like Dove thing and how it works, initially I thought it was a conscious decision to send (like how Kaito assumed the gossiping girls sent it over for him/Luca) but I sincerely doubt anyone in Vagastrom was popular enough to get one (just bc they're scary) so why did it show up in front of mc and Sho when they barely had talked at that point??? Did he already like her or is it more like a "koi no yokan" thing?? I'm so curious about it. Does it show up in ch3 too? I don't see much mention of it.

I also thought Sho was going to be just as bad as Leo and didn't like his design. The more he actually talked to MC and just in general the more that changed. He's not that bad of a guy at the end of the day, just loyal to a fault. I even like his little bandanna now, it's cute.

From the way Kaito describes the like dove I personally took it to mean that it was attracted to strong positive feelings towards someone. It can't exactly be sent somewhere because it is a sentient anomalous and independent animal. There are a few explanations for how the writers determine when it shows up, so I'll just work through my thoughts here.

The boring answer: stealing this one from someone on reddit, but the Like Dove shows up when MC starts making progress on getting close to the ghouls in the dorm. It shows up in Chapter 21 of Book 2 because Leo uses MC's enhancement and Sho feels sorry for her. I don't like this answer as much because it does not exactly explain why the Like Dove does not show up until the end of Book 3, as at least 2/3 of Jabberwock's ghouls like her pretty much from the start.

Still boring but slightly more fun answer: the like dove shows up when MC starts to have or accepts having positive feelings towards the ghouls around her. It appears in Chapter 21 and at the end of Book 3 because MC feels like she's really starting to help their dorms. This does not exactly work with Kaito's explanation that the dove comes to you when someone has positive feelings towards you.

"Yuri is doing lines of cope again" crack answer: I think describing it as a "koi no yokan" type thing probably makes the most sense. Kaito certainly seems to think of it as indicating romantic feelings, but he's a bit of a hopeless romantic so I'll take him with a pinch of salt. The Dove in Book 2 specifically appears after 1) Sho sees Leo and MC sitting on the couch together and asks if they're a thing and 2) MC asks about Sho's cooking. I don't think Sho ever really thought negatively of MC, he doesn't seem to have thought much about her at all. He describes Luca and MC as "normies" who he doesn't think Leo should waste time on, so no real hatred just indifference. Indifference that changes to reluctant fondness that same night when Leo forces him to stay behind by lying and MC compliments his cooking. So yeah, it shows up when someone has a sense that they could have strong positive feelings towards her. You could also say that it came due to the positive feelings Leo had about the ring helping him spy on Tohma and Alan, but I prefer to think it was from Sho. Because fuck Leo.

As you might have gathered the dove does show up again in Book 3, I forget the exact chapter but it's around when Haru promises to help MC with her curse. It's also the only dove that has showed up with all members of a house present, which is one of the reasons I like Jabberwock so much, best house fr fr. I will keep my eye out for it in Book 4 and keep you all updated, if you like my anon friend I'll try to make a summary post of the story so you can know what's going on while you try to convince the game to let you through. I am rooting for you!

You claim to believe that they are in relationships with other people. Can you provide the reasons why. I know why I believe they are not and are currently with each other. If Luke was with A and Nick was with JD would we have seen the magnetic touchy feely behaviour between Nic and Luke. NO that would have been rude and disrespectful to their relationships. Would Nic have been carrying a Polaroid of Luke on her phone for all the world to see? NO that would be disrespectful. Would she have had special Claudagh ring designed to commemorate season 3 with the hands displaying rings like Luke’s? NO that would be disrespectful. Would Luke completely ignore and not acknowledge the person who he was papped with allowing her to get bullied if he was in relationship and in love with her. NO that would be disrespectful.

what I am getting at is I obviously do not know them outside what we see on SM and what they choose to show us. Everyone who has met them has said how wonderful and kind they are. Nicola keeping personal pictures on display and wearing rings in a relationship status that relate to a season 3 and Luke is very telling. So are the interviews articles cast and crew who ship them Tabloids and adjacents are just noise and misinformation. You have your right to your opinion. But do yourself a favour ignore anything else. Listen to Nic and Luke.

I understand and respect your opinion, and honestly, I even hope you’re right. Please bear with me as this might be a long response.

Like I said, I still believe in the chemistry Nic and Luke shared during the press tour, but to be honest, my delulu has been fading over time. Some say this isn’t a big deal, but it is to me. It’s taken a toll on my time, my emotions, and even my mental health. After a few reality checks, I started stepping away from all the theories and just went with what I saw, always hoping Nic and Luke are endgame.

After the Italy trip in August, we all thought Luke and Antonia had finally broken up. I was even waiting for that unfollow any second. But then he dropped the Marbella pictures, and there were so many questions surrounding that trip because of the story she posted. Still, I turned a blind eye and ignored her. Then came her post in October with random summer pictures, including one of the same Marbella hotel Luke was at. By then, I had to accept that they probably went on that trip together in August or the first week of September.

Time went on, and we saw Antonia hanging out with Sienna and Charmaine, who are still Luke’s friends. The most recent thing was the picture a fan shared of Luke at a restaurant in Italy on November 17th, and Antonia posted a story almost at the same time from the same restaurant. To me, that says they’re still together—unless something has changed in the last three weeks.

Now, regarding Nic and Jake, there’s so much to unpack. I was on cloud nine at the beginning of October, thinking Nic and Luke were both in New York. The theories had me reeling. But once again, reality hit when pictures of Nic and Jake in New York came out—not just any pictures, but the first video of them holding hands. I was heartbroken.

We’d seen them together before at the festival, but I thought they were just friends. After the New York pictures, Nic shared a story tagging Jake’s second IG account —most likely because he took the picture. Then, the pap pictures of them hugging and holding hands after a night out in London surfaced. I couldn’t believe it.

October broke my heart so many times I had to rethink how, and if, I wanted to be involved in the fandom. It all became too much.

Since then, we haven’t stopped seeing Nic and Jake together. Even at the Harper's Bazaar event, we could see that she has him as her wallpaper, with the most recent sighting being at Charli XCX’s concert on November 28th.

I know some people think Antonia is lying and trying to make it seem like she and Luke are together when they’re not, but I can’t for the life of me understand why she would do that. There’s no reason for her to fake it. And as for people saying Jake is gay—that’s a conversation I’m not willing to have because, in my opinion, someone’s sexuality is: 1) none of my business and 2) not open for discussion.

It deeply saddens me because the age gaps in both relationships are something I’m not a fan of, but I know that’s just my personal opinion. I have no right to judge their lives or how they choose to live them.

I don’t ship Nic with anyone else but Luke, and vice versa, and I’ll continue to support them despite how I feel about the age gaps.

So yeah, this is why I believe they’re currently in relationships with other people while still remaining friends. And I’m hopeful that time will bring Nic and Luke together because I wholeheartedly believe they’re meant for each other.

i know it’s done all the time but im not really a fan of how many movies have been turned into musicals. i want something new and obscure (although i love all of the musicals that are based on movies)

i enjoy Oklahoma (but i think that’s only because it was one of my favorite sets and choreo out of the productions i’ve been in) but to be completely honest? it’s a very basic and like. wooden? plot if that makes sense? like, i honestly enjoyed the B plot a lot more than the main plot of the show. Curly is played as a good person (because he is the mc) but hes actualy such a jerk!!! him and jud are both assholes and Laurey would have been better off on her own (i actually don’t know if this is a hot take or not i just don’t see a lot of people talk about it)

What if there was a K-pop based game? Not a Just Dance K-pop edition, but an actual game? What would the gameplay be like? Would you play or buy it? And who should be the first cover idol?

This honestly shouldn't be something I put so much thought into, and it's only scratching the surface, but there's so much material and concepts you could do with a K-pop based game. Other suggestions have already been tackled and explained tactfully, such as gameplay and Career/Story Mode, so here's a list of things and ideas I would like to see in a hypothetical game:

Cover idol:

I think if it’s not BTS or Blackpink, especially for the first game, you’d cause a huge riot. They are far and away the two most popular and recognized K-pop groups of all time, and are basically most Westerners’ gateway to the genre. It makes sense why not them, they’re currently inactive (esp. since BTS are in the military), but I’d argue that you should easily make two cover versions of the game—one with BTS, the other Blackpink. If it has to be one active idol, you could go with many options: Wonyoung, Karina, An Yujin, Yeji, Chaewon, Winter, Seulgi, Sana, Miyeon. It would be cool to have a foreign idol, but it has to be a Korean first, and I’d personally go with Wonyoung. For the Legacy/Legend Editions, I’d pick IU.

MyGM:

You could go three ways with a MyGM mode. Group based, company based, and music show based. All three will have similar gameplay elements, but have different ways and strategies to go about managing a successful group, company or music show. 

MyIdol could be you as a singular group’s manager, scheduling comebacks, concerts, days-off, and so on during a calendar year. There’s a stamina/morale system to balance between working them for profit/popularity and resting them so that none of the members get disgruntled and leave or be sidelined. You’d also have to make decisions for the members’ solo opportunities, line distribution, and more.

MyCompany is larger in scale—you now run an entire company or sublabel (good luck if you’re running Cube or SM lmao). You have to manage every artist’s comebacks and schedules, or else they leave or demand a contract termination. An addition from MyIdol is the ability to sign other idols/artists/trainees on the free agent market and you can add them to existing groups or create new groups with your current roster. 

MyMusicShow would basically be WWE 2K’s MyGM. You’re in charge of a music show/Korean TV station like KBS’ Music Bank or SBS’ Inkigayo and you have to compete with other networks for the best ratings of the week throughout a calendar year. You can negotiate exclusive contracts with other agencies so that their groups can only appear on your programs, as well as managing set designs/TV booking (who wins on your show)/screentime for the artists on your show. 

Universe Mode:

What it says on the tin: you have control over the entire industry and decide who are the top dogs, create special collaborations, send groups on international stages, etc.

Showcase Mode:

Depends on who’s the cover idol: you basically replay some of their most iconic/legendary stages throughout their career. If it were someone like Wonyoung for example, it would include her Very Very Very performance from PD48, that one Love Dive baseball stage, K-Pop Flex 2022, her 2022 Melon Music Awards performance, and so on. You could also do one for whoever’s on the Legend/Legacy Edition cover.

Roster:

Depending on which companies are down for it, I expect all the current 4th/5th gen guys to be available from the start, while 3rd/2nd gen groups are labeled as Legends/Legacy and require some grinding to unlock (with few exceptions). Newer groups would probably be DLC or groups from prominent eras/releases (like 2018 TWICE or 2010 SNSD for example). TheLibrarian’s suggestion of having boy group/girl group only versions is also a possible option, but c’mon, if the NBA and WWE 2K games can include both their men and women’s rosters, I see no reason for the K-pop game not to do the same.

I put so much unnecessary thought into it for some reason, I even tried making concept covers of my own using my ideas and others (they're kinda bad XD). Sorry you had to read through all that.

so it’s almost been a year since i properly ( there's no way to properly do it but you understand . . ) started self-shipping , i think ? and it's ( in all honesty ? ) helped me through much of the year i started this blog back in march i believe , but i consider our anniversary to be in may ( i thought it was august but a very silly girlie got dates mixed up with lore if you could believe ehe ; ) which . . is five months off but it still feels pretty close ! he’s become such an intrinsic and important part of my life now that it feels as if it’s always been this way i guess . i’ve said it before but his character is just so kind and gentle and caring but also he’s reminded be how lovely it is to actually romanticise life a little bit and how good it feels to embrace your passion/s i um . . i love him very much ? 🩵🥺

he’s such a genuine source of comfort and so very dear to my heart , and I truly think he’s going to be my love favourite forever and i can't wait to do more ship stuff in the coming year hehe ! i’ve been with this series for sixteen years now . because i'm old . ( /j ) it was such a huge staple of my childhood and maybe i’ll talk about it someday - i'd like to ! - because many of my dearest memories are centred around this franchise. perhaps this blog was always inevitable in that way , i like to joke about self shipping with him is like a long term membership bonus . . but either way , in a sense i feel so lucky i get to express my love for it in this way if that makes sense ?

marianne ( having been made this year ) is also important to me in a way that’s . . come to surprise me , honestly ? i haven’t had an ‘ oc ‘ in a very long while so perhaps i just forgot about how emotionally attached you can really become . it’s probably also no shock that despite being a self insert, she’s very personal to me . . as someone that admittedly struggles with quite a bit of negative self talk, being able to say i like these parts of myself that i implement into her character has been quite healing for me as well ! and being able to rediscover my love for collecting flowers and coffee was also something really fun to do ! to the person that designed her ( you know who you are hehe ) I’m so incredibly grateful you bought her to life. It truly does mean sm . . as well as to everyone that's drawn her of course hehe , im always so giddy to see my little beloveds drawn so prettyful !

i really can’t emphasise enough just how grateful i am for both the community and all of my really lovely moots. i’m rather quiet so i don’t talk a lot but the interactions i’ve had on here are soso special to me and i really do cherish them so much no matter how small . . i have so many fond memories this year of that alone and it makes me tearyy happy happy 2024 to you and your beloveds hehe - if you actually managed to sit through all this I’m actually spinning you around so so much you very lovely and sweet . Hey guys! Haven’t posted in a while but I HAVE been working on some personal Monster High g3 rewrite stuff (mainly the design but..)! Designing them was fun and easy but coloring is a separate type of hell. I have designs that have okay coloring but I feel I could do better on (Howleen and Twyla), designs that I don’t really like the color scheme anymore (Lagoona), and designs I straight up want to redo (Kuma) but here are what I have! I’ll also add some stuff that I changed about them personality wise underneath their respective pictureee

Draculaura, Howleen, Twyla

Draculaura (sophomore) is still a workaholic obsessed with being study-filled in school and work life. For the most part, she didn’t change much, but she’s more prone to being passive aggressive because of the stress that school and work can bring to her. She’s working on the anger stuff but not so much with taking a break,, (the boo crew is trying to help her don’t worry)

Howleen is also mainly the same as g3. She has a really cute sibling relationship with Romulus and Barkimedes acting as their younger sister who believes she’s the older one (she’s a freshman in my version). She also has a sibling relationship with Clawdeen and helps Clawdeen get around the wolf pack easier. She has a fat crush on Twyla too urrm lesbian??!?? In my universe of g3, there’s also a specific way that the school does the wolf pack hierarchy whatever thing. I’m not going to get too into it, but Romulus is the leader (he’s a junior and lately there have been a gap between leader and second in command with senior and sophomores) and Howleen is under his command, taking notes from him and learning from him as well!

Twyla (freshman) doesn’t have much to her yet, but she’s really fun currently! I have thought of some little gags with her and she constantly having bugs in her hair and her eyelashes always have some dust on them. She usually hides away in the library and she has a fun dynamic with the moth teacher.

Romulus, Barkimedes

I have so much with them I’m not even going to get into it all guys (I am biased and they are my absolute favorite). But they’re fun trust (I’ll make a separate post about what I’ve planned for them in the future maybe). Also they’re dating 😁 (both are juniors)

Lagoona, Gil, Frankie

Lagoona (sophomore) had one of the most dramatic personality changes,,, She’s a lot more airheaded and bubbly now! She can make bubbles from her mouth, she runs a bit weird (it’s always a mindless side to side I love her sm), she speaks slow but not slow enough to where it’s hard to keep up, I honestly love her. She still can get a little crazy and is constantly meat hungry! She is also NOT stupid, she’s very smart and very athletic so don’t take her for granted! She’s apart of the swim team and does tennis as well! She also has a crush on Gil ^^

Gil (sophomore) didn’t get as drastic of a personality change, but his design is a curious one! He’s from a simple but respectably small pond and is based on bottom feeder fish (hence the long mouth and always looking like he’s frowning). Compared to Lagoona, he doesn’t have sharp teeth or claw-like fingers, he’s practically harmless honestly. He’s not that athletic but he obviously does and can swim. He’s a bit of a dork but also charismatic in some ways! I still need to think more about him but that’s what I have

Oh my lord Frankie (sophomore)! They also have a noticeable change, not too dramatic though. The main difference is their Mad Scientist alter ego “Plasma K” that spawn out of them whenever they work on a project or brainstorm. A wild and lightning energetic persona pops out believing that whatever they are making is their new Magnus Opus, the new technology that people will beckon and call after, the new GOD OF THE WORLD! This persona only lasts around 30 minutes to an hour, but my god do they make an impact on everyone!

Toralei, Kuma, Spectra

Toralei (sophomore) hasn’t changed much at all. Something new I’ve added however is a simple rivalry with Romulus and her as well as friendship between her and Heath.

I gave Kuma (senior) a human design because I’ll be so for real it’s lame as hell that he’s straight up just some bear,,, like at least give him clothes. So for Kuma I plan on changing his design and clothing a bit when I redesign this redesign,, he’s based on Teddy bear-like clothes and cabin wear,, Also he likes rocks so much!! He wants to be those scientists that study rocks (I forgot what they were called).

Spectra is a character I’m having horrible trouble with tbh. She’s going to be apart of the morning news crew (when MHG3 adds Honey Swamp it’s OVER for all of you guys I love her I love her) as well as the newspaper club. She died around 1970s ish and has been apart of Monster High for a looong time, basically a permanent member. She is a teen (junior), she will always mentally be a teen. I’m wondering if I can make her lore and involvement in MH less convoluted, but this is what I currently have for her.

Purrsephone and Meowlody!

I don’t have much for them yet,, sorry,, But they do have relationship stuff! At first, Romulus and Meowlody started on the wrong foot but after a while they become great friends! Purrsephone and Barkimedes were friends from the start despite never knowing each other lol. Purrsephone and Howleen become friends because while Purrsephone likes drums to become a professional later in life, Howleen likes them as a hobby! Another thing, their designs are kind of like “popstar” and “rockstar” which I find cute^^

Yeah that’s basically it I am SICK of writing but I really do hope you enjoy my additions!! If there are some criticisms you want to give, just comment and I’ll take them into consideration! Hopefully I’ll make another post with some of the other characters I didn’t show! Ok bye bye
