yall let me tell you something fun that happened yesterday lol

so a while ago i found out that they have a squishmallow that's named angelica. it's one of the scented ones.

yesterday after work i went to target to do my family's weekly grocery shop and i went thru the toy aisles and i saw they had one bag of the scented squishmallows. and i was like omg i wonder if this is angelica.

at the bottom of the bag there was these little holes, and i saw a green bottom to the squish. and that matched angelica's look. and on top of it smelt like berries, which is her scent.

i bought it, and it was angelica. it's like it was fate yall sksksk

[SPLIT SECOND] How decisive is your muse? How confident do they need to feel about the outcome of their actions, or how much pre-thinking must they do before they feel they can act? Do they trust in their own decisions?

Ann is FAIRLY DECISIVE in general when it comes to life as a whole. But when it comes to the Borderlands, she tends to be perceived as extremely decisive by comparison. This is primarily due to the fact that she doesn't hesitate to the same extent as other players tend to. She keeps her composure the vast majority of the time with her cracks only starting to show when she's alone. Ann is flexible though. Ice queen as she might seem, Ann is someone who is OPEN TO OTHER IDEAS and adaptable; she will change her decision if a better idea or suggestion is presented. It's a rare but not impossible feat to experience. A lot of this comes from her work; with forensics, sometimes you only have ONE SHOT at getting evidence or running a particular type of forensic test. Certain tests destroy samples and if there's an extremely limited amount of evidence, then it better count. In many ways, this pressure helps her in her career, her day-to-day, and her survival and success in games in the Borderlands.

As for how confident she needs to be? Ann needs to be around 80% confident. Naturally she prefers HIGHER - she tries to get as close to 100% as possible. But if she's 80% confident? Or even 70%? She's content. THIS DOESN'T MEANT SUCCESS RATE. For example, she needs to be 80% certain her idea is the best possibility as opposed to knowing it will have an 80% success rate. They're not tied to each other despite how she might LIKE for them to be. She just needs to be confident in the outcomes and in her plan. This also doesn't mean she WON'T act or follow her plans if they are a lower percentage than her preference. That's just her general baseline, but it can decrease or increase depending on the particular situation.

Ann doesn't need a very long time to pre-think. Not because she's impulsive by any means, but she's a QUICK-THINKER. She can figure things out fairly quickly and assess the right choices It's easier when the situation calls for simple LOGIC. It's when the heart is involved that she takes long. Ann isn't as cold as she might seem. She cares for people and values human life. While she is logic oriented, she's in tune with her emotions (unlike a certain someone). If it comes down to emotionally complicated or tough situations, she ultimately tends to take longer because she tries to think how others would react, or how it will also affect her. On the same note, Ann also isn't the kind to obsess over a problem and overthink it or let it be the only thing she thinks about. She'll analyze it and either address it then (depending on the situation), make her decision and address it later, or take time away before revisiting and reassessing the situation.

She DOES trust in her decisions. Not to the point of arrogance, but she feels confident and strongly in her choices most of the time. She can acknowledge her areas of weaknesses and make the choice to listen to someone else who is more of an expert in that area or similar things like that. But even that is HER decision and one she takes with the upmost confidence. / @cartelheir

I wish we had more female characters like Eleanor Shellstrop. One of the most unlikable people you've ever met. Read a Buzzfeed article on most rude things you can do on a daily basis and decided to use that as a list of goals. Makes everyone's day worse just by being there. Dropped a margarita mix on the ground and tried to pick it up, only to get hit by a row of shopping carts which pushed her into the road where she was hit by a boner pill delivery truck, killing her instantly. Cannot keep a romantic partner despite being bisexual. Had a terrible childhood but will die before she gets therapy. Best employee at a scam company. Just the worst but also can't help but root for her to improve.

Absolute loser. Girl-failure. Bad at almost everything. Literally perfect female character.

Several weeks ago one of my coworkers called me over into her cubicle and gave me a very unexpected gift. Her mother passed away recently, and she'd been packing stuff up at her condo to give to relatives and sell, so the home could be sold. The mother was an avid knitter and crocheter, and when my coworker came upon her stash of equipment, she told me, she "immediately thought of me as someone who might get some use out of it."

So, I have inherited a varied collection of knitting needles and crochet hooks, cable needles, sewing needles, and, best of all, now-out-of-print pattern books, mostly for blankets, because that was what this lady loved to make most. Plus, I also have a bunch of gauge swatches she made, pinned to little bits of card covered in perfect schoolteacher handwriting setting out the patterns they were made to test.

And also...

My coworker brought another bag, full of yarn and...knitted blanket squares. Her mother's last started project, before she got too sick to continue. And she asked if there was anything I could do with it.

It turned out, there are twelve completed squares, and I quickly located the pattern book they are from amid those given to me. It's a book of 60 patterns, meant to be put together however the maker wishes into blankets of 20 squares. I figured out which of the numbered patterns were already made, and selected eight more that I thought might go well with them.

So now! I am working on completing! My coworker's mother's last knitting project!

And I really am feeling very good about doing it.

Okay 3 things

1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh
