i feel like this is a great time to announce that i am a monster movie enthusiast. i LOVE monster and mecha movies!! godzilla, king kong, transformers, pacific rim, kaiju, alien, predator…GIMME IT ALL
I’m not 100% sure if this is where they were going with Battleship, 2012, but the concept of aliens who go to planets that contact them to play a high stakes game of… battleship, and do things like wait for their turn, is very good. You know. If we lose we get extincted but very good nonetheless
OPC - the morning where they just got to chill and have fun
OSNI - Tinder (I'm literally watching episode 4 rn which is why I forgot)
OPQ - its a real sad smile, but that bit where they find documents in French
Daniel Hartmann - What's your favourite fanwork?
And I immediately forget all fanworks I have ever experienced... I shall... give you this fanart! Because I remember it exists and I love all the characters involved https://www.tumblr.com/feminetomboy/736000955585314816/you-all-looked-at-joui-i-made-out-with-a-guy-and
then looking I have... 2 fics on my faves list (huh I need to update that I *know* there should be at least one more). Both of which are OSNF aus in which someone doesn't die, though it's a different someone in each (I need to put the OPC someone doesn't die au in here too huh...)
Since I only have one art meme for today I offer up something else:
After almost four years of dodging the draft (covid) I have finally been caught and punished but instead of being normal and "sitting and resting," I have used my excessive free time to make this
I would love to make a poll for favourite era/type of naval ships; but I already know sailing ships would win (there’s just too much fandom content with sail-powered ships). Don’t get me wrong I love Napoleonic-era line of battle ships, the most complex and awesome of Age of Sail battleships, and also frigates and War of 1812 small fighting ships — but sometimes dreadnoughts because I love a coal-fired monstrosity. A ship can be a scary sooty iron lady!
Btw fellas, remind me to not get a game for my dad again.
Or try to watch smth with my lil sister and mum.
Apparently my dad hasn't played the Expanse game in months and has told me to my face he doesn't actually like Telltale games so. That was a waste of money getting that for him when I thought he'd love to play it.
Then my sister and mum didn't like The Boy and the Heron so.
Having a fun time of regrets tonight.
BUT at least there's a bonus, nearly finished with gif'ing episode 1 for Quinn which means I can FINALLY go to episode 2. That or finish up Philip finally after a month or so of work.
That post arm cut off Ponk, Sam and Foolish thing that was going on

Last week I was Bored At Work and was just recovering from a seasonal bought of writer's block, so I drew a few disjointed panels from a proposed comic about the Last War of Green Night.
It's a story that's majorly important to the lore of my universe, but which I've never yet put to paper. Massive TL;DR: when a powerful wizard visits the homeworld of the merfolk, they make war against it. They succeed in inventing the one weapon capable of harming it, but fail to kill it, and lose their home.
