Quick little Mam hc

(There may not be smut this month (idk) but I have to feed y'all)

I feel like Mammon is actually sensitive and relies on MC more than he lets on. I don't mean like he gets mad at the drop of a hat like Tan can, I mean that he's more emotional than he lets on. Sometimes he feels like the family pincushion. Everyone jabbing at him and calling him names all the time actually does get to him. He doesn't want his brothers to know how much their words affect him because he has to keep up his "The Great Mammon™️" persona where he's money-hungry and tough. But he's not. There have been plenty of days where he disappeared for hours, hiding away with MC and letting out all of his frustrations. MC's asked him why he isn't honest with them, and half the time he shrugs it off and mumbles out an 'I don't know'. The other half of the time, he explodes with emotion going on and on about how if he doesn't take it, they'll think he's weak and lose the little respect they actually have for him. And he knows not all of them feel that way as Asmo and Beel are seemingly the least rude to him, but two of six?

MC tries to drop small hints to the brothers to be nicer to Mam, but they don't get it. They're dense. I feel like MC would get fed up with their shitty behavior and go to them one-by-one and lay into them about how they treat Mammon and ask them how they would feel if MC and the rest treated them the way they treated him. They'd FIANLLY get the picture, and stop being as mean to him. Mammon would notice over time, and slowly hang out with his brothers more, and generally feel better.

Obey Me! Nightbringer Lesson 23 sent me on an emotional roller coaster!

I have always been and always will be a massive Mammon simp. I love him. Genuinely and truly.

So when he said this :

I felt terrible for him, I wanted to hug/hold him and comfort him so badly!!

Because that's not true at all! ; ^ ;

Mammon is NOT awful. He's never been awful. Just because he has "greedy" desires... That could be said of everyone.

Mammon is a wonderful, passionate person and a loving, caring brother. He has been my favorite since the very beginning because I could tell just how sweet and kind and pure he is deep down.

He deserves the very best. He is worthy of everything good in all three worlds!

I love Mammon, I will always love Mammon.

Then when he finally awakens...

You can hug me as much as you want, any time you want, nonstop, please never let go! TwT

I seriously was SO much happier with this pact scenario than in the OG.

I mean... in the OG, Mammon only wanted his credit card. So it seemed kind of... forced? Not special?

But this time! Making a pact with Mammon is special. It's meaningful. It felt right. In my opinion, it's perfect! Kudos to the devs for this one 💙

And it gets even better :

I legitimately wanted to cry. I actually felt tears begin to form in my eyes, no joke or exaggeration.

Me.... special??? No.... No way.... Never.....

I know it's "just a game", but that hit me HARD! I took it personally, and it meant so much to me. Especially coming from Mammon (ಥ◡ಥ)

Forget the pact, where's our marriage certificate already?! lol

Anyway.... I was completely satisfied with this Lesson. I'm happy we made our pact with Mammon and how/why it happened.

Originally, I thought maybe Nightbringer would follow the OG in terms of forming pacts, which would mean that Levi was next.

But from how this lesson ended, it looks like Asmo is actually next! All I can say is.... I'm super excited for more 💙

HIS EYES

Mammon

You have never seen eyes as beautiful as these. Up to now, it is still hard to believe that such clear blue eyes reflecting your image actually belong to a demon, not an angel (or more accurately, someone who used to be an angel). His eyes are crystal clear, like an endless pool of water. His eyes sparkle, and you believe that the light in these eyes can rival the countless stars you have seen before back in the human world.

The first time you looked into his eyes, you saw nothing but disdain. You could sense it, you could sense his hatred towards you from the core, and you doubted that he would devour you immediately if you dared to talk back to him one more time (now you know that even at that time, he would never devour you because Lucifer had entrusted you to him). Those stunning blue eyes, you never wanted to look into them directly ever again.

The second time you looked into those eyes, you and Mammon were bound by a pact, and you handed him the black card (which you weren't sure if you actually found it or if all of this was just part of Lucifer's plan). And he promised himself to you. You don't know what could be worse, whether it's making a pact with a demon or the demon you made a pact with always waiting to devour you at any moment. Whatever happens, you know that your life will completely change from this moment on.

For the third time, the fourth time, the fifth time, every day passes by and you don't know since when, your image has always been reflected in those eyes. Those eyes draw you into scams and schemes that both of you know will be exposed immediately. Those eyes made you let him enter your room, sleep on the floor, sleep on the bed, hold you in his arms. 

You could see your image reflected in his crystal blue eyes after he has kissed you for the first time ever, you could see his eyes lit up when you two were on your first date and your fingers intertwined, you could see the light, the light, the light in his eyes when he saw you after few months away and you immediately knew that he was always waiting for you to come back, come back to your home, come back to him. 

Even when there was nothing in those eyes except for your pale face and your injured body, you still wanted to be submerged in them.

The last time you saw yourself in his eyes, you wished that you could forever see yourself in his eyes. Only later on will you realize that his love is what you truly desire to be immersed in.

"Mams, I have some news for you." You say, hands behind your back at a weird angle, clearly hiding something.

"Not now, MC, the Great Mammon's busy." The Avatar of Greed dismisses you in an attempt to take his focus away from the way he perked up like a lovesick puppy when he heard your voice.

"But Mams, it's super important."

Mammon looks up from his DDD and stares at you expectantly, when he once more realises he's behaving like a lovesick puppy, he stares at his nails instead, scoffing. "This better be good, human. Do ya think I have all day?! Cus I don't!"

"But Mams! You're a dad now! You have to make time for your family!"

Mammon splutters, dropping his phone and falling off of his bed. "I'm a WHAT??!!! MC who's lyin' to ye! I'm not a dad!!!"

"Yes you are!" You bring your arms out from behind your back to reveal a small little black blob with small little golden horns, wearing an equally small black top hat with yellow accents.

"Papa!" Little D No.2 exclaims from your arms.

"ARRRGH!! The Great Mammon is not yer papa Little D!!!" Mammon shouts, attempting to cover the blush on his face.

You pout, Little D No.2 mirrors your expression. "But Mams! He's the spitting image of you! He's even got your horns! Are you abandoning our child?!"

"Yeah, Papa are you abandoning our chil-...wait hold on I am the child-....Yeah! Papa are you abandoning yer child?!"

"See! He even talks like you! He said yer!"

"T-t-that proves nothin'!! I-I'm not a dad!" Mammon splutters.

You look at him sulkily. "D-do you not wanna have a family with us...I mean how could you say no to this face?" You pinch Little D No.2's cheek and push him out towards the Second Born. "He's adorable! He gets it from you!"

"Fine! I'm a dad! Now please....stop poutin'?" Mammon almost pouts himself before his learned bravado makes another show. "Ahem...! What I was tryna say was....I, the Great Mammon don't care if you pout or not!"

Little D No.2 stage whispers to you. "Psst, what Mammon means to say is that he's so deeply unequivocally in love with you he hardly knows what to do with himself!"

Mammon sputters and shouts something in protest, but you just grin. "Awww! I love you too Mams!"

Mammon subconsciously preens at the praise before staring daggers at a sniggering Little D No.2 as you cradle it in your arms like a baby and coo to it things like 'You look so much like your papa! Yes you do!' and tap its little top hat before booping the small creature's nose, or where a nose should be on a Little D.

Mammon cracks a soft smile watching the scene; not that he'd ever admit it. Even though Little D No.2 was a little shit, he wouldn't mind someday having little shits of his own with you and starting an actual family, except he hoped they'd look like you.

yet he loves so achingly. fingers tracing your skin like tissue paper about to rip at any second, voice soothing and light as he chatters about nothing and everything at the same time. pinky linking in yours loosely as to give you the choice to let go.

he is still mammon. rough and rowdy and boyish in his charms, ruffling your hair and roping you into one failed scheme after another, but there is also something else in him. something just for you.

greed growls and screeches and takes and takes and takes. but mammon snorts and laughs and has so much to give.

and with you, he is not greed. he is not an animalistic urge to possess.

As a Mexican I constantly think about Mammon and mamón. I still remember when I first heard his name and immediately giggled to myself thinking that it was fitting.

I particularly enjoy the idea of informing the brothers of this insult, imagining that they, too, would see the insult as appropriate and call him it. Don't know if you'd just tell them for fun or accidentally call one of them mamón and be forced to explain, but either way they'd find out. Mammon would just be confused on why everyone started pronouncing his name weirdly.

Me personally I absolutely adored season 1..... but.. erm..... I'm sorry, I DONT WANNA LOWER UR EXPECTATION.... but season 2 was just not as good some episodes were mid not bad, mid. But some were pretty good!!!

S: Show-off - do they like to show off to their s/o?

Mammon is a show-off to his Core. He tries to act subtle about it, like he's just naturally so cool and he doesn't even need to try, of course you're smitten! But not-so-secretly, he lives off of your praise, he basically glows at every compliment, even if it's given through giggles at his antics. He'd definitely challenge his brothers and random demons to arm wrestles when you're around, especially if you've shown attraction to his strength/arms (n how could u not). If he loses (which he does sometimes, its becoming his mission to beat Beel), pls comfort him n tell him that naturally he must have let them win, the Great Mammon isn't just strong but also benevolent (n u got a nice look at his arms either way), it'll cheer him right up. In the end, what he really craves is reassurance and your eyes on him.

He'll also show you off constantly. He will always refer to you as his human + he loves public dates and PDA so he can brag to the whole Devildom how amazing you are and that you're His. He'll deny it if anyone brings it up, but if you listen to his flustered grumbling, he definitely said something about how it's normal to want to flaunt his treasure. Also, it comes with the territory of dating the Avatar of Greed, but he loves making sure everyone knows you're spoken for. He is the second born, you could count on one hand the amount of demons for whom it wouldn't be a death wish to mess with something he cares about, but he likes seeing when they wish they could. Its very much a "you can look, but don't even try to get close" dynamic.

(side note, he gets so flustered and sappy when you're the one showing him off. but I fear I am rambling already)
