Finally…..
Have been working on this since benchmark reveal.
I forgot how complex ffxiv gears can be (and honestly these AF gears are actually simpler than the usual crazy raid gear). My hand hurts 😢
Admittedly this isn’t my best effort, but I am too anxious about this already, so… yeah..
Psst, I put an easter egg as well. The hint is SB trailer

ngl, didn't play EA but I'm poking around datamined dialogue from an EA version- I find it very inchresting, that seemingly, they definitely turned down the dream guardian's like horniness and romantic interest. Like it seems to be implied that at one point the dream guardian like- tries to kiss you during the first encounter, like lots of notes about cheek caress, thigh touching, and leaving you with a smooch souvenir. And then in the morning you get a pretty good idea of who everyone saw (Karlach didn't have a file for it that I saw and Shadowheart's was vague, beyond- "someone she is attracted to") and Gale is funnily enough seems (from my searching) to be the only one who admits that... yeah, he smooched them...
And like, totally get why they turned that down for final release, but god if that was still the case- I would have lowkey tried not to laugh my ass off when who the dream guardian is was revealed and ask Gale how he liked the taste of squid mouth, was it worth it, bud?

Honestly I'm a bit relieved that Larian doesn't plan on doing any DLCs for BG3. With the way they've been handling Gale (The change to the Sharess Caress scene makes it worse imo) and how they sometimes talk about him... I was a bit worried that they'd listen a bit too much to some parts of the fandom and include things about Gale that wouldn't make sense or possibly even ruin the character. I'm just relieved that they'll leave him alone lol.

I got BG3 back when it was still in beta and have gone through so many Tavs but never finished the game even once. Never have even made it into Act 2. I just get so anxious about decisions and if I'm "playing right." So a couple weeks ago, I start playing but as one of the companions: Lae'zel. She has one goal of which she reminds me of constantly: "I loathe waiting, I crave blood." All my choice anxiety has lifted. I'm just a lanky gith'yanki kid running around and committing war crimes. And my companions are shockingly supportive. Maybe they're cutting me extra slack because they put the youngest of all of them in charge of the group lol
The only time I got a disapproval (from all three of my party members at the time, btw: Astarion, Gale, and Kharlak) was when I booed Volo off the goblin stage. I stand by my booing. He deserved it.
I also haven't reloaded a save once until last night, when I nearly TPK'd us while sneaking around the goblin camp. Gale kept missing his spell attacks, Lae'zel went down first, Kharlak was surrounded by goblins like she was a kpop idol and they were her stans. But ASTARION. Oh man, I've figured out how to play rogue y'all, and I'm unstoppable. Astarion was up in the rafters like Batman just firing off sneak attacks left and right. Beautiful damage output, 10/10.
Had to reload, but will do it again.

I like imagining the Kirkwall crew meet the tadpole gang as much as the next guy and like. Their morals are so wildly different. Anders and Fenris are over there tearing into Merrill because she made a carefully calculated deal with an alleged demon to recover her lost cultural heritage while everyone at camp is like "We are so proud of our resident chaotic evil/neutral racist vampire spawn for not sacrificing seven thousand people and then himself in a diabolic pact <3 God's strongest soldier <3"

i still do really love bg3 but i am sad that larian continued their streak of 'act 3 being the worst part of the game'. still phenomenal but act 3 (especially playing durge) is a little flat feeling. and while the companions all individually are fantastic i'm still sad that karlach and ESPECIALLY wyll did not get their flowers as they should, and honestly durge didn't either. And the companions in general don't feel as interesting dynamics wise with each other as compared to, say, dragon age.
but i do really like bg3 a lot and i'll probably come back to it eventually and. write a lot of 'fix it' fic for act 3 tbh
