Dragon warrior study
Spoilers ahead in case you don't wanna be spoiled for Kung fu panda 4.
Tumblr media
Meet the new dragon warrior~ Zhen the fox.
And OOH boy does everyone have some sharp words for this idea. But I am here to have a look and share some of my theories on why Zhen was picked.
Quick opinion on the movie since it can't be helped. I really enjoyed it. True it didn't have much of the depth as the first two but it does have a lot of heart, the best description I heard, its this reason I enjoyed it more then the third movie.
Now that I successfully pissed some readers off we can continue. Cause I'm looking into the possibilities of why the dragon warriors have been odd selections, and why both tigress and tai lung weren't chosen to be the dragon warrior despite whether or not they were worthy of being this legendary warrior.
The main argument is in fact the next dragon warrior should be tigress and tai lung since they were cheated out of the title and that po just met Zhen for like eh, 3 days at most. But hey, I'mma tell those folks something. Po was also picked off the streets to be the dragon warrior and had to be trained by shifu in a small time. The choosing of Zhen was no different, only difference is that Po got to know Zhen before the choice.
That said, I wondered why is the dragon warrior such as difficult spot to gain? In the first movie we get info of the dragon warrior, a prophet warrior to protect the valley. Not one managed to claim the title. Not shifu, not tigress, and not tai lung. We're not sure if Oogwai was the first dragon warrior before po but it was the turtle who made the scroll and said it had the secret to becoming an unstoppable warrior.
Shifu had trained Tai lung to be the warrior but Oogwai denied him for having darkness in his heart, then chose Po despite the 5 skilled warrior. He was about to select Tigress before po landed in front but this is not the case. Oogwai felt Po's presence at the tournament, po was flying over the gate at the time when tigress was set to preform, this is why he stopped the tournament. You can see Tigress with a confused expression when he does this. Its cause she didn't even get started.
This is why I believe not even Tigress was meant to be the dragon warrior, but why? Why spend so many years waiting only to select some random panda? Why wasn't any other strong warrior selected. I believe the answer is very simple. What do we know of the dragon warrior? Tigress said this,
"It is said that the dragon warrior can spend months at a time eating nothing but the dew off of a single ginko leaf and the energy of the universe."
What? What kind of mad magic does that mean? Sure the kung fu is pretty exaggerated in the panda universe but even the most strongest warriors needed to have a little bit of food when not in mediation. Its also agreed that the dragon warrior is the strongest. And lastly, why is it called the dragon warrior to begin with?
Because the dragon warrior...was an actual dragon.
Meet the first dragon warrior
Tumblr media
This is a character from the paws of destiny. I don't know how Canon the side projects are but in the series paws of destiny we meet Jindao the figure behind the legend. In the series its said that Jindao protected the valley of piece. In Kung fu panda there are only counted 3 dragons so far, 2 in the paws of destiny and 1 in the TV show. Two out of the three were evil. Can you guess which one was among those evil dragons? Yup, Jindao.
For whatever reason Jindao was corrupted by the hero's chi and got power hungry but it was clear that during his defeat Jindao was very powerful. The very ones who defeated him won but just barely. Despite wrong doings here we are, 1000 years later Oogway, yes he's that old, foresaw a hero taking the place of the dragon warrior and training with the hero's chi. Yet he didn't know who it would be.
With all the information laid out, let's see why Zhen and Po are the true animals to recieve the title. For Po, Oogway saw the balance of the universe in Po, his true successor. Po was perfect. Yet no one believed this and thought in order to be the dragon warrior, you needed to be a warrior. This is why Shifu trained tai lung and the 5 so harshly. Po isn't who you'd think would be perfect, borrowing information from Mat pat, he explained the dragon style of kung fu practices all 5 animal styles. (Correct me is I'm wrong) Po was a fanboy of all five so he was on his way to learning the dragon style of kung fu. Po was also very lax nature, had a free spirit and so much heart that Oogway knew Po wouldn't follow the same fate as Jindao.
Zhen, we finally get to Zhen, heh, is a grey fox. Originally a thief and an apprentice to "the chameleon~" someone you wouldn't guess would be the next dragon warrior. The animal that everyone things was picked too fast but again Po was selected in seconds compared to the 5. Their feelings of being jibbed was how audience felt. Shifu again selected more bigger, stronger and skilled warriors to be the dragon warrior. Not the furious five. They had their own stories going on. Po was unwilling to give up the title but I think those candidates would have been a terrible choice, cause the dragon warrior needs to also be humble enough to not fall to the allure of the hero chi. Sure, Zhen's a thief but is she a bad person? No, she isn't. She is a morally grey character next to a black and white one. I believe Zhen was chosen because she can have this understanding of the world. An understanding that some people aren't always who they seem to be. An open heart. This is what everyone else was missing. I'm not saying tigress didn't have heart, she does and I'm not saying tai lung didn't deserve to be the dragon warrior. But if all you needed was skill, you worked for it and you deserved it then by that same logic then Shifu should have been considered.
So why do I believe Zhen was chosen? I believe she was picked because she always had the heart, she has the potential to learn great kung fu, (notice how while she has some skill in combat she isn't probably trained, she then started being trained by the furious 5 and po. Remember the dragon style is the 5 animal styles into one), Zhen also defied someone already on the evil side. and I think po also had...a vision. If you recall Po was beginning to get visions just like Oogway when he foresaw Tai lung returning and the success Po would accomplish. Po had a vision of the chameleon's true plans of world domination. Perhaps Po also saw something similar to what Oogway saw in himself, that Zhen can accomplish great things as the dragon warrior. Someone to follow the steps of po instead of turning into another monster like Jindao.
But this is what I believe, why do you think Po was chosen? And don't write, the creators got lazy, but that count they could have gone. Oh, Monket is next dragon warrior. Movie done.

Welcome, non-plant beings, my creatures of night and nonsense, my dear audience, to this weird and wonderous collection of mine.
Tumblr media
I promise you won't be told a story with an answer, with some "here's how I fixed my life & the journey it took to get there" I promise that there won't be a "hope to get better" which makes now feel so stark in contrast. I promise I wont make it seem simple or linear or a sudden "aha moment" to make things suddenly seem clear.
What I promise is a story, to the best of my ability, where there are no weeds to pull. no seeds to plant, no fruits to pick. The garden will grow and die, change & cycle back to the beginning. And through it all, in this moment with the dappled sun reflecting off the dew, the weeds in a thick blanket, forgotten fruit as a feast for the birds - we are wild and it is beautiful, no matter how much they want a cultivated, perfectly trimmed and oh-so-stale-garden.
----
TL;DR - I'm currently in a Link Click hyperfixation, and I my main WIP is the Land of the Fallen Fairies. I also have a biology fanfiction and a teddy bear nightmare warrior story on the side. And I like being asked about character analysis, whether that be my own characters or any character from this list + characters from LInk Click

Also also, for those who don't want to see any JJK smut, this blog should be safe for you! <3 I ship Satosugu but in a... transcend labels, queer platonic flavor sort of way. A Review of “Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024)”
Tumblr media
I love the Kung Fu Panda trilogy! The 3rd movie felt like a nice wrap-up for the series. However, modern movie studios just can't give up on milking a franchise. Now we have a 4th entry in the series. Is this movie justified, or is it just another cash grab?
Tumblr media
Jack Black is still great as Po. He still hasn't lost his charm and continues to deliver a hilarious and charismatic, vocal performance. I also love that his character Po is still a badass dragon warrior. He is always the most skilled fighter in the room and I am glad they didn't make him weaker for the sake of it. Awkwafina is again voicing another sidekick character. She is fine but that is mostly because her character isn't written to be unbearable and that makes Awkwafina bearable. Their characters do have a fun buddy dynamic throughout. Speaking of buddy dynamics, it was nice to see James Hong and Bryan Cranston return as Ping the Geese and Shan the Panda again. Po's fathers have their own, fun mini-adventure in the movie.
Tumblr media
The animation is beautiful. Not to the extent of other dreamwork animated movies such as How to Train Your Dragon or Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. However, it looks very appealing for the most part. The action scenes are still very entertaining with its well choreographed Kung-fu scenes. It was also nice to see Ian McShane return as Tai Lung even though it was clearly done for nostalgia bait.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the story is predictable and boring. Po is required by Master Shifu to pick the next Dragon Warrior but Po doesn't want to and wants to remain the Dragon Warrior. This idea in itself, can be very interesting as he could potentially have to choose between his friends, The Furious Five. Sadly, they are not even in this movie so instead we get a new character in Zhen played by Awkwafina. Oh wow, I wonder who Po will pick…
Tumblr media
Po and his dynamic with The Furious Five have always been a highlight but removing that, makes this less interesting. The villain, The Chameleon, is also extremely underwhelming. She can steal the Kung-Fu of martial artists, including previous movie villains. Her motives are weak and her presence is just not menacing enough. They try to say throughout that Po might finally meet his match but they don't do a good job of convincing us that this is true. If anything, the big final battle feels like the easiest fight that Po has ever had so far. How is The Chameleon a threat if the Furious Five weren't even needed?! Ke Huy Quan is also in the movie but his character has no depth at all so it feels like a glorified cameo. Additionally, many of the jokes didn't land. I hate that they leave awkward pauses cause they clearly thought we the audience would laugh.
Tumblr media
Overall, this 4th movie had no reason to exist. The story is not meaningful enough to justify its existence. This will be the start of the second trilogy but the ending itself doesn't do much to make me interested in more. The ending is a fine ending to wrap up the series (again). Hopefully, the 5th entry is a lot better and this time, make sure The Furious Five are actually in the movie!

Thoughts on Kung Fu Panda 4 (spoilers ahead)
TAI LUNG IS BACK!
JK no he's not.
I can't believe Kung Fu Panda stole a villain idea from TUFF Puppy.
Po should have totally picked that cosplayer at the beginning.
The animation in these movies is so good. They've really come a long way since the first movie. The 2D bit during Po's vision is giving Bad Guys vibes.
I have not seen the third movie, so I don't entirely know what Li's deal is, but I was hoping there'd be more gay subtext considering the fact that the main character has two dads now.
I also wanna know more about this Kai dude. He looks cool. Maybe I should see the third movie.
That was definitely a Chinese remix of Crazy Train playing during the chase scene.
The thieves misinterpreting the good guys' proverbs as excuses to commit more crime but still help them out=top-tier writing.
Get those bunny kids some therapy.
DOUBLE JK TAI LUNG REALLY IS BACK!
I find it hilarious that Dreamworks brought Tai Lung back from the dead just to sass Po.
And other delicious callbacks such as Lord Shen, General Kai, and TEMUTAI, KING OF THE QIDON!
I don't think they'd ever explicitly refer to the Nickelodeon TV series, but I definitely saw a rhino in that crowd who looked like Temutai.
Kung Fu Panda 5 is gonna be real different if we're going to have a new Dragon Warrior now.
Kinda lame that the Furious Five don't appear until the credits. They're supposed to be the icons.
Not Jack Black doing better than Britney Spears at her own song.
Overall, a solid 8/10. Whatever your faves have done, TUFF Puppy has done it better.

Other miscellaneous thoughts (kfp4 spoilers)
- I enjoyed Han. He didn't get much screentime though but I loved his unhinged laughter and the way he rolled about. Wish we got to see some more of him (idk quite how it would be fit in though chchfhvj)
- I was a huge fan of kfp3 breaking the urn of whispering warriors again (hope I got the name of it correct cause I'm just trying to go by memory with that one). And. Hmm. On a pure fan service level I do love that they actually went for it AGAIN. because I'm honestly just personally a sucker for it as a Bit. Just. I'm a liiiittle bit on the fence about it, undecided about whether it's a "joke's overstayed it's welcome"/too repetitive, or whether to love that they leaned into it/brought it back again as a gag. Because on the one hand, over reliance on something like that can be lazy, BUT simultaneously it can take guts to just go for it wherein the amount of repetition becomes part of the humour of it, and you just take the risk of it being seen as lazy for the purposes of the Bit. Personally I never really expected it to get reused again but in theory i love the idea. Like, I'm SURE I've actually made a post in the past about just thinking it would be great to lean into it as a repeating gag - and then they DID bring it back again in this movie! So while I'm somewhat wary, tbh I did enjoy that. Po's whole "oh no! The urn of whispering warriors! Which I've already broken! TWICE!" was hilarious imo. The slight delay and then it actually getting broken. And then a very defeated looking Po SLIDING among the shards while there's the iconic sound effect(s) of those poor lost souls crying out???? Yes please that was so damn funny. I loved that. Like again I had this certain wariness about it but nah, that was fun. I love fun. Ultimately I appreciated that gag fhgdghggk. And the SOUND EFFECT gets me every damn time it's just sooo iconic and priceless
- it's interesting because like. Kfp3 felt somewhat less "legitimate" than the first two movies in terms of like... How "authentic" it felt to the world of Kung Fu panda as established in the first two movies. For example, the first two movies have mystical elements and whatnot, divination visions etc, but it kind of seems to operate at the periphery of an otherwise mostly grounded world, relatively speaking, meanwhile the third movie essentially brings the equivalent of magic front and centre and such and at the time it kind of felt out of place, but like, I was able to accept it, and many years have passed since then, etc. and when I talk about legitimacy I mean how effective suspension of disbelief is + whether the movie feels "canon" etc. movie 3 still felt very canon to me even though in some parts it felt slightly less so. Movie 4 is definitely reeeeeally challenging on that front, much more so than 3, but overall.... I mean it does still mostly feel canon to me which was why I mostly accepted and had fun with the movie. But some parts definitely feel uncanon and break my suspension of disbelief, so like, I'm just gonna be retconning it in my mind for my own sake. I can't accept kai still existing as canon or he and Shen bowing or Tai lung's role in this movie etc. so this movie just kind of dips in and out of canon to me. I pick and choose. I curate my own experience LOL. Also other fans have already covered this extensively and I've voiced my grievances on this before (in private though I'm P sure) but sincerely, the way the Dragon Warrior title is treated in this movie as something that can/should be and needs to be passed on to someone else is REALLY annoying and goes against the first film. So I def have beef with that. And it could have been fixed easily enough I think... If it wasn't the title itself with all its attached connotations/lore but rather just a more generalised choosing of a successor that was needed, or if at least the LORE of the first film when it comes to the title was more properly acknowledged and addressed to explain why it needs to be passed on, idk. So basically I will just be ignoring that in my opinion of canonicity because the plot still works the same without needing to bring the Dragon warrior title specifically into it, you know? There's a bunch of little things I'm just gonna be soft retconning like that tbh.
Anyway part of what made 3 jarring/feel less Legit is it didn't follow the established "tradition" of opening the movie with a more 2d/stylised sequence not taking place in direct reality (e.g. a dream) before transitioning to "irl". And of course this movie also didn't do that at all lol. So it's more easy to write off as not 1:1 to the rules of the world XD
BUT the third movie still had excellent colour theming!!!! And this fourth movie dropped the ball there and just didn't bother with any of that. Which is disappointing but points to the trend of 3 and 4 veering more and more to seemingly "noncanon" territory where it breaks the "rules", etc.
And like, I will put my hand up and say that I was never the most observant fan when it came to this franchise's dedication to colour symbolism - I'm sure I only know about it + know how important it is/has been to these films because of my participation in the fandom. It's not an aspect I'm super invested in beyond the aesthetic/coherence of it. I'm moreso invested on a meta level due to my awareness of it having been a rule of production + other fans calling attention to/caring about it. So while it doesn't make a huge difference to me on a surface level, it really sucks and goes to show that the people working on this one didn't Get these films or have the same level of care that the others had if they couldn't even be bothered to have some colour symbolism consistency like the others did. Just another reason 4 fits in way less with the other 3.
- when Tai Lung goes "well, I saw THAT coming" it was just so bad. Just very "well, that happened" and "he's right behind me isn't he" tier dialogue 😭
AND LIKE. I'm not entirely opposed to him having lines like that - it CAN work, but only if you actually give him other more substantial stuff to do first. The character needs to have serious moments to balance more comedic lines out, to "earn" them. Like I said in a previous post he needed more presence and to actually do something. God it's like. The fourth continued 3's trend of tending to more lighthearted stuff it's like it's AFRAID to be tense and serious ! But you NEED intensity and serious moments. A character like Tai Lung needs serious stuff before you can jump to more lighthearted stuff with him and idk what the movie gave us on that front just wasn't enough for me. Like I don't wanna be too harsh, I guess I like it in theory, it is fun. But it needed to be more earned and better executed than it was

Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
List a few of your character's favorite things! (For example: favorite flower, drink, food, clothing item, piece of literature or art, song, place, etc.) Is there any particular reason why these things are your character's favorite?
Hi yes sorry I kept putting this off
I'm going to go with Yu, because the current DB brain rot
Her favorite way to introduce herself is "I am Yu," because her name is you but spelt Yu so she says she is you and jokes like that till the person realizes or someone ruins the joke. Her favorite being is her Wife Korva who really changed the outcome of her life. Her favorite thing to do is try new foods because she's a goddess in my au, she doesn't need to eat but she can and like to try different foods. Her favorite thing to do is pick people up with her tail because then they know they're in trouble.
Her favorite song is an old Saiyan lullaby because it reminds her of home before she became a goddess.
And that's all I can think of for right now

Kung Fu Panda theory: when Shen sealed his fate, he also sealed Tai Lungs fate and saved the furious five.
So I was watching Kung Fu Panda and obviously since I watched that I have to watch the second one again. And I was sitting there and I'm watching the opening sequence introducing Shen and his fate of being killed by a warrior of black and white.
And like I said I'm sitting there I'm watching it but I happen to realize, that one Shen sealed his fate, he also sealed Tai Lungs fate.
Here's how:
When the soothSayer said, "if Shen continues on the path of darkness he will be defeated by a warrior of black and white." Shen then turned around and sent the wolves to kill the pandas, but in attacking the panda village he indirectly set Po up to become the Dragon warrior.
Because if he had gone on the good path, Po's mom would have never put him in the cart to be discovered by his goose dad, so that's Poe would have had no idea about the furious five or even be trained in kung fu.
Think about it from this flashback sequence, we can tell the pandas that Poe comes from aren't fighters, and we can tell on the third film that they tend to be isolated.
When Shen set out kill the pandas, so he wouldn't die. He sealed his fate it is said so in the film, "his next actions sealed his fate."
So because Shen attacked the pandas his mom put him on the delivery cart for him to be in the city with the Jade Palace with the furious 5 and for him to be chosen to become the Dragon warrior. Po is destined to be the Dragon warrior that point is final he is the Dragon warrior there's no if ands or but he is it's his destiny. But he only knew of kung fu and was able to be trained because he was in the city with the Jade's Palace with the furious 5 with Master shifu and Master oogway.
But he never would have been there in the first place if Shane had turned to the good side. So because Shen attacked the pandas his mom put him in the cart for him to be chosen and trained in kung fu, just in time to stop Tai Lung.
The way I think of it is... When Shane sealed his Fate by attacking the pandas he also sealed Thai lungs fate because he then set up to be in the Jade Palace City in the valley he lives, and because he lives there Master oogway is able to pick up on his Dragon warrior destiny when he's trying to see the furious 5 when they're trying to find the dragon warrior, so thus I can only come to the conclusion.
If Shen was a good guy Thailand would still be alive the furious five Master oogway and master chief we would all be dead, and Poe wouldn't know Kung Fu.
I know I said think about it, but think about it.
If Shen was a good guy he wouldn't have attacked to the pandas which wouldn't have allowed to Po's mom to put him on the delivery cart for his goose dad to find him and because his goose dad found him he was in the valley he was able to be chosen as the Dragon warrior, oogway was able to pick up on it.
But we've seen where the old Panda village was Oogway wouldn't have been able to sense someone there from all the way in the Jade Palace where he was in that village if it was still there and it would be there if Shen turned to good. If shen never fucking attacked the panda village Oogway and shifu would have never found the Dragon warrior and time to stop Tai lung Oogway still would have died because it was his time, shifu and the furious 5 would have died by Tai Lung's hands and so would've the rest of the valley.
That's why I say when Shen sealed his fate, he also sealed Tai Lungs.
I know this, I know Master shifu and the furious 5 would be dead because it is said in the first film it's demonstrated that they are no match for him.
If Shen hadn't attacked the panda village, Poe wouldn't have been found in time to stop not only Tai lung but he wouldn't know enough Kung Fu to stop Shen.
I don't know what Master Oogways and master Shifu's plan was going to be if none of the theory is five turned out to be the Dragon warrior and Poe wasn't there.
I don't know it but I can safely assume no matter the plan, they wouldn't have enough time, Tai Lung would have killed the furious five and shifu.
So again for the final and last time, when Shen sealed his fate, he also sealed Tai Lung's fate.

5 Critical Life Lessons You Can Learn From Kung Fu Panda
Tumblr media
Kung Fu Panda is an animated movie that teaches several interesting life lessons, embedded during a predictable storyline. it's highly entertaining, wiped out a Dream works storybook fashion.
Even though we first watched the movie every week ago, my kids can't stop talking about it.
In the show, the panda, whose name is Po, was chosen by a wise old turtle, Ooguay, because the dragon warrior to defeat the enemy. Unfortunately, Po was an unlikely character for he was fat and clumsy. He was viewed with much scepticism and doubt by his martial-arts teacher, Shifu, and therefore the Furious Five: Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper, and Crane.
The highlight of the show, a minimum of in my opinion, clearly belonged to the varied spouts of wisdom and quotes cleverly delivered by the various characters. Animated or not, wisdom is often found anywhere. All you've got to try to do is look and listen with an open mind.
Here are 5 of the wise sayings that I picked up within the movie:
Living within the Now Uruguay: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow may be a mystery, but today may be a gift. that's why it's called this .”
beat self-doubt
We don’t get to read Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now” to find out the importance of this moment. we will simply watch this movie to find out from Ooguay about how necessary it's to abandoning of our past, doubts, and fears if we would like to be happy.
Thoughts of the longer term or baggage of the past deduct your joy within the most vital moment which is now. What matters isn't what went on or what's getting to happen.
Hence, be faithful to what you're doing. Treat each moment as a present and you'll live life fully!
You Can’t Run faraway from Your Destiny
Uruguay: “One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.”
Ever had that tingling sensation that you simply are meant to try to do something else? Perhaps it's a dream that you have had since you were young. Or it's going to just be a recent awakening, like in my case.
I have always thought I might pursue my grand idea of being an accountant or banker. Yes, I know. It seems like an uneventful profession, but the thought of getting an iron rice bowl appealed to me then.
Even once I first started exploring opportunities on the online, making plenty of cash was my first concern. Along the way, someone directed me to observe the key movie on Youtube. Well, the remainder is history.
I never quite thought that I might be writing articles on self-help and private development. I didn’t imagine that I might have an interest during a coaching or healing profession. I’m convinced now that I'm threading on the proper path since I really like what I do passionately. every day of living this purpose feels so right to me intuitively.
Hence, if you discover yourself experiencing that sense of discomfort, that inner knowing that you simply are within the wrong job or a purpose that you got to fulfill, perhaps it's time to ask yourself what your destiny is. curiously enough, regardless of which way you switch, this destiny calls bent you.
Things Happen For A Reason Uruguay: “There are not any accidents.”
If events don't go consistent with your expectations, then learn to prevent fretting over your suffering and misery. Things often happen for a reason. it's going to just be a life lesson that you simply got to take.
As we all know, life isn't a bed of roses. If you are doing not recognize the lesson for what it's, you'll end up continually stuck or attracting more of an equivalent. you're during a vicious circle, unable to interrupt out. Step aside, take notes, and learn from there. Then, you'll end up moving on, becoming a more evolved and better Self.
Your Passion Keeps You Going Tigress: “It is claimed that the Dragon Warrior can choose months without eating, surviving on the dew of one gingko leaf and therefore the energy of the universe.”
Po: “Then I assume my body doesn’t know I’m the Dragon Warrior yet. It’s gonna take tons quite dew, and, uh, universe juice.”
Admittedly, it sounds a touch far fetched – to be ready to survive without eating. But haven’t you experienced several times once you were so absorbed in what you were doing that you simply forgot to eat?
It is true that our passions can keep us alive. Even within the most challenging of times, they need us going.
A friend I came to understand lately shared that her volunteer adds an Aids Organization helped sustained her during a time when she went into depression herself. If not for the patients who needed her and if not for the eagerness to assist others, she wouldn't have survived that period.
You Can Be the foremost Unlikely Hero Po: “There is not any charge for awesomeness – or attractiveness.”
At the guts of the story was a personality with no apparent gifts or talents. He had to fight feelings of low self-esteem and confidence. He had to endure snide remarks by the Furious Five. Plus, he had to undergo rounds of brutal martial arts training, that kept him from eating.
Towards the top, Po unraveled the key of the Dragon scroll from a gathering together with his father. His father had tried to cheer him by telling him the key ingredient of the family’s noodle soup: nothing. Things become special, he explained, because people believe them to be special.
As you almost certainly guessed by now, Po saved the day. He realized that he might be awesome if he chose to believe so. And he was indeed the Dragon Warrior, after all!
What you'll take from the movie, Kung Fu Panda is this:
Take action to satisfy your destiny, albeit initially, you think that you suck.
You just got to believe that you simply are special. And in pursuing your path, you'll just discover that awesomeness or attractiveness is being who you actually are. there's no charge for that!

5 Critical Life Lessons You Can Learn From Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is an animated movie that teaches several interesting life lessons, embedded in a predictable storyline. It is highly entertaining, done in a Dreamworks storybook fashion.
Even though we first watched the movie over a week ago, my kids can not stop talking about it.
In the show, the panda, whose name is Po, was chosen by a wise old turtle, Ooguay, as the dragon warrior to defeat the enemy. Unfortunately, Po was an unlikely character for he was fat and clumsy. He was viewed with much skepticism and doubt by his martial-arts teacher, Shifu, and the Furious Five: Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper, and Crane.
The highlight of the show, at least in my opinion, clearly belonged to the numerous spouts of wisdom and quotes cleverly delivered by the various characters. Animated or not, wisdom can be found anywhere. All you have to do is look and listen with an open mind.
Here are 5 of the wise sayings that I picked up in the movie:
Living In the Now
Ooguay: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
We don’t need to read Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now” to learn the importance of the present moment. We can simply watch this movie to learn from Ooguay about how necessary it is to let go of our past, doubts, and fears if we want be happy.
Thoughts of the future or baggages of the past take away your joy in the most significant moment which is now. What matters is not what has happened or what is going to take place.
Hence, be faithful to what you are doing. Treat each moment as a gift and you will live life fully!

You Can’t Run Away From Your Destiny
Ooguay: “One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.”
Ever had that tingling sensation that you are meant to do something else? Perhaps it is a dream that you have had since you were young. Or it may just be a recent awakening, like in my case.
I have always thought I would pursue my grand idea of being an accountant or banker. Yes, I know. It sounds like a boring profession, but the thought of having an iron rice bowl appealed to me then.
Even when I first started exploring opportunities on the web, making a ton of money was my first concern. Along the way, someone directed me to watch The Secret movie on Youtube. Well, the rest is history.
I never quite thought that I would be writing articles on self help and personal development. I didn’t imagine that I would be interested in a coaching or healing profession. I’m convinced now that I am threading on the right path since I love what I do passionately. Each day of living this purpose feels so right to me intuitively.
Hence, if you find yourself experiencing that sense of discomfort, that inner knowing that you are in the wrong job or a purpose that you need to fulfill, perhaps it is time to ask yourself what your destiny is. Oddly enough, no matter which way you turn, this destiny calls out to you.
Things Happen For A Reason
Ooguay: “There are no accidents.”

Your Passion Keeps You Going
Tigress: “It is said that the Dragon Warrior can go for months without eating, surviving on the dew of a single gingko leaf and the energy of the universe.”
Po: “Then I guess my body doesn’t know I’m the Dragon Warrior yet. It’s gonna take a lot more than dew, and, uh, universe juice.”
Admittedly, it sounds a little far fetched – to be able to survive without eating. But haven’t you experienced several times when you were so absorbed in what you were doing that you forgot to eat?

Warrior or Traitor, a KFP Fanfic
It was midnight, 3 felines jumped roof to roof from houses in the Valley of Peace. The three landed on a rooftop, which looked like a museum.
“We reached our destination.” One feline said. The other two nodded. The feline used her sharp claws to remove a small window at the top and get inside. A rhino guard ran toward her, she grabbed his horn and gave him a pressure point, he fell on the ground without letting out any yelp, unconscious. The feline made her way to an artefact placed next to a big column, it was a mask. “Yes. Finally.” She picked up the mask. “I got it! Nobody will be able to stop us now, sisters!”
“But what are you gonna turn into?” Another feline asked.
She chuckled evilly. “Wait and see.” She concentrated and put the mask on her face, a golden light flashed, changing her form into Tigress.
“And now to do something evil in form of Master Tigress!”
In the Jade Palace, Dragon Warrior and the furious Five were training.
“Alright students. I’ll teach you a new technique today. So get ready.” Shifu told.
“Sound bodaciously awesome!!!”Po said, hugging Tigress excitedly. She smiled at him and then pushed him away.
“Panda, focus.” Shifu said. Po stood straight. “Good. So, let’s begin. Tigress, come here.” Tigress was a bit surprised that Shifu called her first and not Po.
“Yeah, right. You’re the lucky one, Tigress.” Po said, annoyed. Tigress stepped forth and bowed.
“Get ready, Tigress. This might be difficult.” Shifu said. He waved his hands in the air for a moment and then, in a blink of an eye, there were 10 forms of Shifu surrounding her. Her eyes widened at the odd scene.
“Huh?”
“Tigress, you must use your hundred-eye orb to figure out the real me.” All Shifus said together. Tigress had to admit this was a difficult task. She looked around and leapt at one Shifu, only to find it was a shadow. “Very sloppy. Try again.” She tried again and again, but only ending up by leaping at a shadow, until she started panting. “Hmm... this is worse than I expected. Look behind, Tigress.”
Tigress looked back see Shifu standing and looking at her sternly. “I am sorry, master.” She said, bowing.
“That’s okay, Tigress. This was your first try. Po, would you like to give it a try?” Shifu asked.
“What?! Me?! If Tigress can't do this, how am I supposed to do this?” Po asked.
“Just try, Dragon Warrior.” Shifu said. Po had no choice but to try, only ending up failing.
“Uh, Master? May I try once again?” Tigress asked. Shifu looked at her. “I think I got how to do this.”
“Yes, sure, Tigress.” Shifu said. Once again, 10 forms of Shifu appeared. Tigress closed her eyes and started concentrating. Shifu smiled. “Concentrate on your chi. Focus on your hundred-eye orb, and the right threat will appear.”
Tigress opened her eyes and leapt at Shifu, tackling him to the ground. He smiled. “Very good, Tigress.” As soon as Tigress got off him, she bowed. “See everyone, that’s how you do it.” Po started clapping and whistling. Tigress rolled her eyes.
“MASTER SHIFU!” lots of voices came together, catching the warriors’ attention. “Master Shifu, we have been robbed! And we know who the robber is!”
“What?” Shifu asked. “Who?”
“It’s Master Tigress!”
“What?!” Tigress exclaimed. “Have lost your minds?! Why would I do something like that?!”
“Tigress, calm down.” Shifu said. “What makes you think Tigress has done it, citizen?”
“Master Shifu, we watched from our own eyes! She even attacked us!” One villager said.
Shifu’s ears twitched, as he said. “You might have mistaken her by someone else, people. I request please stop disrespecting Master Tigress by this false blame, she is my most decent student, as well as an honourable master, this means she deserves resp-”
“Would you just stop showing the reverence of her magnificence?” A villager asked. “She is a thief.”
“Anyway, what has been robbed?” Shifu asked.
“All our gold and money! As well as the Shang-Li mask from the museum!”
“And what makes you think it was Tigress?”
“Master Shifu, it was a full moon night, we clearly saw her face!” a pig said. We even found her footprints!
“Master, I have not done it, I swear!” Tigress said, totally shocked.
“Tigress, I am not blaming you on doing this. Just tell me, do you know anything about all this?” Shifu asked.
“Of course not, master. How could you even think that? You know I have nothing to do with gold or money. This- This is a conspiracy against me!” She said.
“Yes master, I know she can't do anything like this.” Po said, stepping forth.
“Alright, that’s enough.” Shifu said. “I can't just believe blindly that Tigress has done something like this. But we’ll try to figure what’s going on. Please leave.”
“Yes, Master Shifu. But you better tell Master Tigress to stop doing this.” And with that, the villagers left the Jade Palace.
“Tigress, You better be careful.” Shifu said and left the courtyard. Tigress frowned, she had no idea what was going on.
“Don't worry, Ti. We believe in you. We know you can't do anything like that.” Po said, placing a hand on her shoulder, and so did the others.
“I really don't know anything about this, Po.” She said.
“Well, Tigress is the only tiger in here, but she isn’t the only feline in here, right? I think they might have been confused by some other feline.” Mantis suggested.
“I don't know. But I am sure it wasn’t Tigress.” Po said.
“Thanks, Po.” She said.
“That’s okay, Ti. And we’ll proof those villagers that you weren’t the one who did this. I promise.” Po said confidently. Tigress couldn’t help but smile at his response.
“Thanks Po. I think I better go to the bamboo forest to meditate, this blame is really bothering me.”
“Don't ya’ think it’s too late to go out?” Po asked.
“That’s okay, Po. I’ll try to come back soon.” She said.
