I actually have been drinking water and eating lately, I know, even I'm surprised!! Although I do think I'm coming down with something.. lots of pressure in my head and the start of a sore throat 😭😭 It always happens when we get our first snow.....

I've been drawing on and off but I just don't feel like I have enough actually completed to my liking to come back to posting, and I haven't been able to get myself to draw every day either. My goal rn is to get some of the stuff off my list done before I come back to posting so it shouldn't be too much longer but I feel like I've been saying that forever now (and if I'm actually getting sick that's not gonna help.....😭😭)

I realized I’ve been spending so much time sitting at home and so has my friend @supernovasolace so I got them up to go on a walk today. There’s an off leash wooded trail by their house.

The day had been flirting with sun but settled on overcast with a tiny drizzle through the trees. As we got deeper into the woods and wetland there was a cacophony of crow sounds. They were clearly riled up. We were determined to find the source of the upset.

We finally managed to get a clear view and were both delighted to spot a juvenile bald eagle sitting with a horde of crows screaming all around it. There was even hummingbirds and songbirds shrieking obscenities while the eagle sat stoically. A heron went by calling at the top of its lungs.

I took out my phone to take a picture and saw a missed call from the guy I interviewed with yesterday. I called back and got offered a job. My friend hugged me and I texted my beloved then went back to watching the eagle be loudly protested by all the forests denizens.

Been thinking a lot about how I love Seven x Thirteen yet they're basically a two-for-one combo of two tropes I hate ("incompetent man x competent woman" and "competent woman x even more competent man who upstages her")

And I think part of it is that it is both of those at the same time so it PEMDASes, but I think it's also that it's like

Thirteen: this man's very existence is challenging my worldview. He was a brutal killer but still he has friends who love him and he chooses simple joy. I must kill him or I'll fail my master and I have no one other than my master. But this guy keeps trying to help and protect me and keeps forgiving me. Not having the resolve to kill him is breaking apart my sense of self. I've only ever killed to survive but he makes me want to fight to protect. Could I be valued beyond my usefulness?

…if this is like a Super Zeroes-esque comic where the girls are envisioning alternate versions of themselves with different destinies and if Blossom wants to be a detective GOD! BLESS! whoever wrote this ‘cause it’s perfect.

Bubbles as a bunny and Buttercup as a wrestler are also both perfect but that goes without saying. 🙏

I was one of the few people who was lucky enough to have avoided any spoilers from this song when it was leaked right after the NYC listening party- it was actually one of the main reason why I avoided tiktok and twitter for a while... yall. I prepared myself for this song BUT. IT REALLY DIDN'T HELP. I AM SO VERY UNWELL.

It fits SO PERFECTLY with the theme of Wasteland, Baby! and I want to throw hands with Andrew for just letting this sit in a folder in a laptop but I can forgive him because it's out now.

I LOVE that it sounds imperfect, like he gets into these off-kilter flows and runs, but it's deliberate?!! AND IT WORKS WELL.

2019 Hozier, YOUR PEN GAME!?!?!!! SHOULD BE ILLEGAL IT IS SO GOOD. i need to process these lyrics more tomorrow when I'm more awake cuz OH BUDDY it hurts.
