He calls you 'my light' mainly, but '亲爱的' (dearest), and '亲亲' (dear one) are used as well. He also adores talking to you in his native language, even if you don't understand. (I apologize, I cannot write this further given I don't know much abt the Chinese dialects.)

As for dates, picnics are his favorites. But he loves bringing you to Madame Bo's, as well. ON THAT NOTE, he talks to Madam Bo about you SO MUCH. And the day you finally meet her (essentially like meeting the parents), she embarrasses the hell out of Raiden. She dotes on you, too.

Captain Phillips (2013)

The true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the U.S.-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years.

JayBell: This movie is so stressful. I almost felt like I was the one being held hostage and kidnapped by gun-wielding pirates. Even knowing how the movie ends, I do think it does a great job building tension throughout.

Tom Hanks is great at playing the likable every-man here. I like that he's smart in this movie, but also very scared and vulnerable too. He doesn't break out the ninja moves, turn into MacGyver, or somehow become a self-rescuing super hero. He's just a resilient guy who tries his best. And aren't we all?

I love the level of understanding that kind of develops between the main pirate and Tom Hanks' character. It isn't quite forgiveness or anything, but the pirates don't feel like crazy super villains. You understand why they make the choices they make, even as you hope they don't make them. It's interesting that they are so young and disorganized and naive in their pirating, yet feel so dangerous and unpredictable at the same time. It's a cool balance to watch.

I was very engaged and invested throughout the whole movie. It's entertaining, scary, well-acted, and emotional (shoutout to the captain's therapy bill in the final scene). I think it delivers on all its promises.

Anzie: I knowwww JayBell said Tom Hanks is always the everyday guy vibe and he looks like everyone’s uncle in this movie, but I have to say I was distracted for the first maybe 15 minutes of this movie bc I swwwear he was giving specifically my one uncle vibes. It was the glasses. The shirt. The whole old man in early/mid 2000s outfit. The watch. The glasses. The GOATEE!! Ok it’s out of my system.

That being said the rest of the movie had me sick. I was so panicked and nervous my nails and cuticles were wrecked for days. I’m feeling a cold sweat come over me now. It’s such an experience. And I have to say I was skeptical- I was like ok Tom Hanks is a captain of a boat that gets taken over by Somali pirates based on a true story - ohhhh I wonder how this goes. But it was good and I was so invested.

That being said- being stuck in that life boat?? Wowzers. And the crew complaining that they want off it’s too dangerous?? You’re in open water carrying cargo??? Even if there weren’t pirates WHIcH HaVe ExiSTedD FoReveRrr - it’s open water??? That’s inherently dangerous and where are you gonna go?? I also would love to complain about the very slow response from any help they called in when they very quickly notice there were pirates trying to hijack them- like what the fluff?

Anywayyyy for a biopicish kinda vibe it was A+. And I’ll never see another boat without thinking “I’m the captain now” like I’m 12 years old again.

You’re so close to exiting the place you hate the most until you feel your phone vibrate in your back pocket. Since your locker is near the exit of your school you walk to it and pull your phone out. The brightness on your phone illuminates your face, making you lower it since it hurts your eyes. Who the hell turned my brightness up this high. Then you remembered that it was your girlfriend who did it since she always complains about how low it is.

Once you lowered your brightness you scrolled down to read the notification you got. It’s a text message from your girlfriend.

Now you're sitting on a steaming hot bleacher bench getting ready to watch your girlfriend at cheerleader practice.

You turned around to scan your surroundings. All you saw were a bunch of guys who you assumed were on the football team supporting their girlfriends. You began hoping that this practice ends soon so then one of the guys doesn’t try to start a conversation with you.

Finally you spot a group of cheerleaders run out onto the bright green football field. You quickly spotted misa and her bright smile as she conversed with the other girls. The sun shines on her golden locks as you watch her begin to stretch. The sun is like misa’s spotlight causing her skin to shine bright.

Your eyes scan all over her body as she stands up to continue stretching. Her eyes swiftly find yours. She smirks once she notices you checking her out. She decides to tease you, curious on what your reaction will be.

She steadily turns around then begins to bend over. She starts to reach down to touch her toes. She does this flawlessly while looking incredibly sexy while doing so. Misa is super flexible so all the stretches come easy to her.

Maybe a wheelchair but he's fine, also he can use the Warhammer for super speed and make it awesome once he's used to it. Archie and Charlie get freed once they rebuild the bridge (and they were playing scrabble to pass the time). Nomura is still dead because she died on screen and I can't really deny that but she's with Draal so it's okay. Everyone is traumatized but they'll be fine. NotEnrique is still babysitting 500 babies and Steve is about to bring 7 more.

In summary, I reject Groundhog Day ending but everything else was great, as long as it actually happened. It was a good movie. But you can't just cancel years of passion. Having the prospect of a million "canon AUs" sounds great for writing but at the same time nooo you can't do that he didn't have to go back THAT far HHHHH

I liked the movie. It was a great watch and a satisfying end to a franchise, but I gotta say I do not fancy the ending of it so I will from now on be in denial. I honestly feel kind of betrayed that this show was my whole life for so long, I learned every smallest fact, and they basically deleted it from existence. I know what they were going for, I think, but no thank you I will be going with my own opinion. Still gonna rewatch it a few dozen times though ✌🏻

5. if you don’t have a formspring.me, what’s keeping you from getting one? do any of your friends (outside of survey takers) have them? do you ever ask anyone questions even though you don’t have one? I had one. I suppose I still do, but I haven’t been on there in several years. I don’t even know if formspring is still a thing.

6. if you do have a formspring.me, what made you want to have one? how often do you ask other people questions? do you usually ask complete strangers questions or just people you know? I saw other people posting their formsprings and questions, so I figured I’d check it out. I rarely asked anyone a question, though. I liked answering some, though. They had ones they asked you for you to answer, which was good cause no one ever sent me any haha. No, I don’t go up and ask complete strangers questions. If it’s someone I know, then sure? Not an annoying amount or anything too invasive, though. If I’m curious about something or just like, “hey what do you think about [insert thing here]?” or “Have you seen [insert thing here]?”

7. do you ever buy store-brand products? do you think they’re better or worse than name brand products? With some things, yes. With some things it doesn’t matter and are just as good to me, but certain things I can tell the difference and opt for the name brand. It just depends on what it is.

8. if you have a “header blog”, how did you decide what to put in it? do you put it back at the top after each survey, or just at the end of all of your survey taking? I rarely put a title on my survey posts.

9. when you’re hungry do you just go and make food or do you complain to everyone about it? do you usually cook your own food or does someone else do it for you? I’ll make something or ask if someone can make/get something for me. I only cook ramen and easy microwave and oven things, so my parents or brother make stuff for me as well.

10. is there anything that you eat in a way that people consider to be strange or unusual (i.e. taking a piece of each food and eating it all at once)? I pick apart my food and eat it that way. Like, if I’m eating boneless chicken wings, I break off pieces with my hands of it at a time. I do the same the pizza, burgers, and sandwiches. I don’t bite into them, I break off pieces.

11. what is the ipad (i don’t get it..)? would you get one? It’s like a mini laptop. It’s more convenient to use if you’re traveling and whatnot. It’s bigger than an iPhone, so you have a bigger screen, and you’re able to do more things. 

12. what’s the best birthday you’ve had so far? what did you do? what do you plan on doing for your next birthday? I haven’t had a bad birthday. Well, except for this year. I won’t be doing much of anything this year.

13. how often do you actually follow the tips and advice you read in the magazines? I haven’t read a magazine in several years, but back when I did I remember finding useful tips and advice, but just like most advice I’m given, including the advice I give myself, I didn’t use a lot of it.

14. if you use bittorrent or anything like that, where do you get most of your torrents? do you actually save them or do you just copy and paste the link location? I haven’t used anything like that in several years.

15. are there any comedy websites you visit on a regular basis? what are they? Uhh, any of the social media websites I use, such as this one, and YouTube could be considered comedy websites? They have funny stuff, like memes and whatnot. I’m not really sure what you mean by comedy websites.

16. do you like mash-ups? what’s your favorite? This one guy, DJ Earworm, used to mashups at the end of the year of the top songs that year and they always came out really cool.

17. out of the bands you listen to, which one has the most distinct sound? I’m gonna say Linkin Park cause Chester Bennington. That voiceeee. Gah. RIP, Chester. <3 I wish I could have seen them live.

18. how many colleges did you apply to? which one is your top pick and which is your back up? if you’re already in college, are you in your top pick? what’s the best thing about the school you’re currently in? I only applied to one, honestly, and was very fortunate to get in. 

19. which decade would you rather listen to music from, if you could only choose one? That’s so hard... I don’t knowwww.

20. why do you think people hate on lil wayne? do you think it’s one of those things where people just don’t like him because he’s so popular or is he ginuenly overrated, in your opinion? if you do like him, does anyone ever give you shit for it? how do you feel about him going to jail? *shrug* I like some of his songs and features. “nah actually, we’re just heading home”
