Unedited blurb of an idea I’ve had for over a year or so but is finally seeing the light of day.

Part 2ish

Okay, okay but imagine Reader is like the fourth Princess to the King of (whatever country) and is forced to marry a certain Lord Riley. The reasoning is Reader’s father fears the support that Lord Riley is gaining. And it just so happens that the man has no wife, only rumors of a partner that supposedly is of the “masculine” nature…

Now, Lord Riley is a bastard son that rose to power, he became a leader of sorts and has earned the respect of the “lesser” folk. The nobles despise and fear Lord Riley more than the King and though the firstborn Princess is unwed the King chose YOU to marry the Ghost of Nobles. Just to spite him, to say that he’s not good enough no matter how many titles or lands he has. Lord Riley will never be good enough for the first so he’ll have to settle with the last.

You’re wed before you can even meet the man prior. Your only way of speaking before the wedding bells was through letters. You didn’t expect anything back from him but he surprised you in more ways than one. The gentleness in his letters were a juxtapose to his fearsome reputation. Proclaiming you to be beautiful, fairer than the moon and warmer than the sun. You thought maybe your soon to be husband was different than the rumors but once met at the cathedral, it’s as though the man from the letters was not the same man at the alter.

A full month passed and you became Lady Riley, it’s no secret that the marriage was simply for your father to bring him to a heel. Your husband seemed to despise you, spoke single words and never shared a bed not even on your wedding night. It’s a sham of a marriage but at least you’re away from court and away from your father. You’re allowed that kind of peace since your home is now further up north. It does get lonely but your saving grace is in your bodyguard, a Scotsman with a heart of gold and an eye of knowing when you’re sad.

Decoding the scripts and secret messages in Rebel Moon

Every time I see a fictional alphabet, I simply can’t help but try to decode it, so after watching Rebel Moon, that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s how I decoded two scripts and three hidden messages (including one Zack Snyder challenged fans to find) in less than 3 days… and loved every minute of it!

Part 1: The companion guide and the New Imperium font

In the official companion guide, some words are written in what has been referred to as the “New Imperium font”. Thankfully, the website makes the task of decoding them fairly simple since they’re almost all transliterated into Latin script. See, in the screenshots below, the symbols under the word “Jimmys” simply mean “Jimmys”, etc.

In the guide, you can find 21 letters, 7 numbers, and 3 punctuation marks. After watching the movie a second time in search of more characters, I also found the letter W and 2 more (unidentified) numbers. So here is what I knew, so far, of the New Imperium font:

Aside from those direct translations, there were also four series of isolated symbols whose meaning wasn’t as obvious... If you want to know where to find them, they are hidden in the sections about the Jimmys, Exoskeletal Restraints, Bennu, and Pollux. Here is what they look like:

Fortunately, once you’ve found all the letters available on the website, decoding those mysterious words becomes quite easy. They mean:

the centre

fall apart;

After a quick research, I found that these words were from a 1919 poem by William Butler Yeats, “The Second Coming”, and specifically the third verse:

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold

I was happy I had managed to decode the guide and find this Easter egg, but at this point, I wasn’t sure what it meant... As I was soon to discover, though, it would turn out to be decisive for decoding another alphabet and two more secrets messages.

I think the biggest grievance I have with severance season 2 was they still gave reghabi absolutely nothing and I think this goes along with the no black writers criticism quite well because you have this morally grey genius neurosurgeon who is also an older black woman so of course she literally just turns up to help the protagonist out of nowhere acts mysterious and then disappears again. We know nothing about why she turned against Lumon how she developed the reintegration technique how she managed to get in touch with Petey/convince him to reintegrate. It's a mystery show and we don't need all the answers straight away but even just some interiority for her would have been nice what are her beliefs is she feeling anything after the murder she committed how about after accidentally killing a patient does she have a family where has she been living all this time if she's on the run what's her history with Cobel just a crumb please

Eggs for Killie is over!

I award myself the 150th egg for all of the little bits of art. Thank you so much for inspiring me to make them! It’s been really amazing to see all the hard work and to truly appreciate the wide range of crafts and activities everyone can do. Bobbin lace? Shoemaking? Knife forging? Translating Irish? It’s genuinely incredible.

I also really appreciated the people who were taking a rest, too. Thank you for that as well.

And I SUPER, SUPER appreciate everyone who was going through saying encouraging words, leaving replies/reblogging with comments, or liking all these posts. That was also a huge outpouring of kindness and time. I saw you doing it (and tried to make sure OPs did too) and any credit for people feeling empowered? That’s for YOU.
