If there's one thing I really hate in the newests Power Rangers series and in the comics is their insistence in want fit a stereotypes in every color.
Like "Blue Rangers are the techboys, the mechanical geniuses, expert in every high tech stuff" well, what's truth for almost all the teams except for:
Zeo, since Billy was out of the team and Rocky continued with the charisma of... Well, a rock
In Space, where all Rangers had the same knowledge of the Astro Megaship systems, except for Andros, who was the one to teach them everything
Lost Galaxy, where 3 out of 5 Rangers were enoughly qualified people to be part of Terraventure's crew, and the Green Ranger was the one among these three to be most fit to this description
Lightspeed Rescue, where all the tech stuff was made by someone out of the team
Ninja Storm, where all tech stuff was made by someone out of the team
Dino Thunder, where all the tech stuff was made by someone out of the team
SPD, where *gasp* all the tech stuff was made by someone out of the team
RPM, where the geniuses in team were Gem and Gemma, the Gold and Silver Rangers
Samurai, where the genius in the team was Antonio, the Gold Ranger
Wow, it seems a lot of exceptions, too much Ranger Teams going against the the universal laws hm...
It just is not worse than their insistence in bring Zordon back, but I'm not getting in this yet

Hello
See Me Through You Series
Tumblr media
You had me at hello
Synopsis: The day that you met the love of your life and didn't realize it until almost a year later
Series Masterlist
Stepping onto the sidewalk as you had just left the building where your journalism class had just ended, your phone suddenly vibrated in your back pocket. It took you a minute to grab it, seeing as both of your hands were occupied at the moment. Doing a balancing act with your purse, backpack, keys and your binder that contained your notes, but was too big to fit in your backpack, you finally had a free hand.
Pulling it out of your back pocket, you saw it was your younger twin brother by three minutes Ja'Marr calling on facetime and took no hesitation to answer it. This was his fifth call to you today and knew that about four more would come your way and the worst part about it was that it wasn't even noon.
Not that you were upset about it. If your little brother called and needed you, he always became the priority and everything would be dropped at that very moment.
“What does your ugly ass want?” You asked him as his face came into view. He promptly rolled his eyes and sucked his teeth before saying anything. You could tell that he was in the gym and was probably waiting on you to get there since you had promised to work out with him.
“If I'm ugly, so are you because we're twins, stupid!”
“No, that's what mom and dad tell you but they actually found you in a dumpster and felt sorry for you and took you in.” You told him as you laughed and started to make your way back to your car to head to your apartment that was off campus.
It was only a few miles down the road which you were thankful for and the good part is that you could also drive home to see your parents on the weekends if you wanted to.
You were relieved when Ja'Marr decided to attend LSU with you because the two of you had never been apart in your entire lives. Deep down you knew that you would have eventually adjusted to him not being at the same college as you, but also glad that you didn't have to go that route.
“Y/N!”
“Just kidding! What do you need assistance with, little one?”
“Little one? I'm 6’1 and you are BARELY 5 feet on a good day. Try again.”
You were suddenly taken aback as you saw someone come into the frame behind him and did a double take once you recognized who it was.
Growing up in a sports filled household, college football as well as the NFL was not foreign to you. You watched both of them and knew players as well as their stats forwards and backwards. So to your surprise, you were actually seeing him in real time. You heard of the transfer happening, but it was different seeing him right in front of you.
So the rumors were true, he was really here.
Joe Burrow
Who used to play for Ohio State apparently was now playing for LSU.
“Ja'Marr, I will hang up. State your business or move on.”
“I thought you were supposed to meet me at the gym to work out AND bring my headphones that I know for a fact you stole.”
“YOU CAN'T PROVE IT!”
“Hmm, funny. I recall you asking me to use them last week and I haven't seen them since.”
“I threw them away.”
“WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DEMAND ON STRESSING ME OUT? And I have someone here I want you to meet.”
“Who?”
“Will you just hurry up and get here and stop arguing with me!? I can pick your ass up and throw you across the room.”
“Hmm, sounds like a threat. I'm calling mommy. Bye.”
“Uh hold on, WAIT! DON'T CALL HER!”
Click.
Once back in your apartment, you quickly changed into your pink and black Fabletics workout set with your matching HOKAS and went on the search not only for Ja'Marr's headphones, but also yours. Since he let you borrow his, you didn’t bother trying to find yours even though you know you should have.
The both of you worked out with each other several times a week and it was important seeing as he played football and you were on the gymnastics team with your best friend, Erin.
Putting your curly hair into a high bun since you didn’t have time to straighten it this morning, you grabbed your wallet, water bottle, and keys before making your way back down to your car and heading to the gym.
Walking inside, you spotted him along with Joe in the corner next to the weight rack and promptly came up behind him and attempted to pick him up as you saw Joe's face giving a small smirk because of the gesture. You admit that you didn't realize how tall Joe actually was and you noticed that he was taller than Ja'Marr when they stood next to one another.
“HEY! Oh, it's just you. Joe, my big little sister by three minutes and she will never let you forget it, Y/N and Y/N this is Joe. And you are never going to be able to pick me up.” He told you while patting the top of your head as you were now trying to pick up his left leg.
“Just you watch. It's going to happen one day when you least expect it. Anyway, Hi Joe, and Ja'Marr you should know better. I already know who you are.” You told him and he looked a little confused before greeting you.
“Hey, you do gymnastics right? I saw you compete over the summer.”
You smiled before nodding, taken aback that he knew who you were also. Not a lot of attention was put on gymnastics unless it was during the Olympics. Your goal was to go to Tokyo in 2020.
“Didn't take you for a gymnastics type of guy.” You replied while attempting to fix your hair that had now fallen out of the bun you put it in. You blamed it on not being tight enough the first time.
“It's entertaining to watch.”
“Hmm, because of the outfits?” You asked as you were trying to feel him out and you could've swore you heard Ja'Marr mutter something under his breath.
“No, I just think it's insane how you can do all those different types of exercises and routines just like it's nothing. You can literally visualize where you're going to land before it happens.”
“It's the same with football when you think about it. You're a quarterback so I can imagine that before you decide where you're going to throw and who you're going to throw to what the end result will be.”
“Something like that.”
“Stop interrogating the man! Sports journalism is her major and she thinks she's smart. So she of course knows all of the players and their stats. I’m convinced she’s going to start memorizing playbooks and try to get on the field with us.” Ja'Marr said as he turned to Joe and you pinched his arm resulting in a yelp as Joe let out a small laugh.
“I'm smarter than your dumbass. That's for sure and are we going to work out or stand here all day? Besides I wasn't interrogating. You can't get to know someone unless you talk to them and ask questions.” You told him as you gave him his headphones.
“I'm ignoring you and what are we working on today?”
“Hmm full body I guess. I already did my legs, back, shoulders and arms this week.” You answered as you shrugged and put in your headphones. Flipping through your phone, you tried to find the perfect playlist in order to get through the workout and hopefully finish strong.
You usually hated working out with Ja’Marr since he would always want to add on something extra at the end of it when you were ready to go home and crawl into the bed.
Joe and Ja’Marr quickly agreed and it was decided that the three of you would warm up by running on the treadmill for three miles before going back to the weight rack.
On your second mile, your music was suddenly cut off by your phone ringing. Looking down you saw that it was Trevor, your boyfriend of one year who happened to play baseball at LSU and that was one of your primary reasons for going there. Also having your brother there was a plus.
Deep down you knew that your brother didn’t like him, but to you he was the best thing since sliced bread and could do no wrong in your eyes. But what you didn’t notice was Ja’Marr glancing over at your phone and seeing it was him and rolling his eyes.
You simply finished out your third mile before going to call him back leaving Ja’Marr there along with Joe who had turned down the speed to a brisk walk as he had done the same.
“I fucking hate her boyfriend.”
“Wait, what? He’s here too?” Joe asked as he was looking around.
“No, I saw that he called her and I’m guessing that she went to go and call him back. I can’t fucking stand him and she could do so much better. But she’s happy and the last thing I want to do is ruin that for her. He honestly treats her like shit from what I’ve seen, but I guess she doesn't see it that way.” He confessed as Joe had his eyes on you as you were standing in the corner. He figured that you were on facetime by the way you were holding it and making gestures with your hands.
“But he makes sure to never do that shit in front of me because I will take his ass down. I’m always going to protect my sister. I honestly wish that she was with someone who respected her and didn’t take her for granted like his ass does. She is honestly the sweetest most generous person despite how much we might bicker and she doesn’t deserve someone who takes her for granted. But you'll eventually be able to see how sweet she is for yourself. She literally lives up under me. When you see me, nine times out of ten she’s not too far behind.”
It was at that moment, you walked back over to them and Ja’Marr could tell that you were visibly upset.
“Pebbles, what’s wrong?” Ja’Marr asked but you simply waved him off.
Ever since you two were about six months old, your aunt on your mother's side started to call the two of you Pebbles and Bam Bam and the nicknames had stuck. It also was no coincidence since your mom used to love watching the Flintstones when she was small just like you and Ja’Marr did.
“Nothing, I’m fine. Let’s hurry up and get this done.” You responded as you felt tears forming in your eyes and you did your best to quickly wipe them away.
“You aren't fine so don't stand up here and lie to me. Did he upset you?”
Joe could now see that he was visibly upset which was in turn making you more upset.
“Don't worry about it, I just want to get this done so I can go back to my apartment and study.”
“If you need me to kick his ass, I stay ready.”
“JA'MARR! NO!”
“And Joe will back me up too. You should see how much he can bench press. No one will know.”
“I… I appreciate both of you very much for offering even though you literally just threw Joe in there without giving him a say in the matter, but I promise I'm good.”
“I'm here for assistance if needed.” Joe said and that put a small smile on your face.
“Yeah about that, show me how much you can bench press.”
“Oh lord, Joe you got her started. Now her competitive ass is going to see if she can beat you. She might be small, but don't let that fool you. She also eats like a grown ass man.”
“Bam Bam, keep talking and I will throw that 60 pound dumbbell at your head.”
The workout was winding down and you wanted to work on your pull ups a little bit more since the upper body was your weakest area. You stood in front of the pull up bar and noticed that Ja'Marr was in the middle of his set, so the only other option was to ask Joe for help to reach the bar since there was no way in the world that you would be able to get up there on your own. But he beat you to it as he walked over to you.
“Need some help?”
“Hmm, definitely yes since there is no way in the world I'll be able to reach it by myself.” You replied as you both laughed.
“I got you. Jump up and I'll lift you the rest of the way.”
Nodding your head, you turned around and felt Joe's light touch on both of your sides. You couldn't quite explain it, but when his hands made contact with your skin, the feeling that it gave you felt unreal. Almost if it was something out of a movie. Shaking it out of your mind, you focused on the task in front of you as you jumped up.
As promised Joe helped you the rest of the way and stepped back once he saw that you were hanging onto the bar.
“Do you mind just standing there to spot me? Pull ups aren't my strongest thing.”
“Yeah, I'll be right here. Go ahead, you think you can do twenty?”
“Hmm, let's find out. I think I can.”
Fifteen of them came with ease and when you started to struggle, you once again felt Joe's hands on your waist and he helped you do the rest of them. You let go of the bar with him then catching you and placing you on your feet.
“Thank you for that.” You told him and you received a cheeky smile in return.
“Any time.”
“By the end of the semester, my plan is to be able to bench press the same weight or more weight than you.” You playfully told him and the smile that he had before became wider.
“I'd love to see that, princess. So let's put some money on it.”
“How much? 50?” You asked not really knowing how much he was willing to put up.
“Nah, you can do better than that.”
“Okay, 500.” You said as you shrugged.
“Damn, I didn't think you would go that high, but okay. Ja'Marr also mentioned to me that since you're the oldest, what you say usually goes between the two of you.”
“He's teaching you well.”
“Hmm, we'll see if that holds up between the two of us.”
“Looks like we just have to see then, won't we Burrow?”
The next day, you found yourself yawning at five in the morning absentmindedly taking small bites of your protein bar as you began to stretch with Erin coming over to sit next to you.
You hated that you had gymnastics practice so early in the day, making all of your classes be in the afternoon or late at night. The campus itself was huge and you didn't always necessarily feel completely safe when you had to walk back to your car late at night.
“So, did you break up with Trevor yet?” She asked as she began to stretch her arms.
“Uh? Good morning to you too, Erin.”
“Good morning, now did you two break up yet?”
“No, Erin.”
She sighed before rolling her eyes and looking at you in disbelief.
“Nobody likes him! Dump his ass! And I don't like the way he treats you. Truth be told, I've never liked him.”
“But I like him!” You exclaimed and she gave you a blank stare.
“Yeah, only you and his bald headed mother. You could do so much better. Oh! Who did you meet yesterday when you went to workout with Ja’Marr? I guess you fell asleep and never read my text.”
“Joe Burrow. He plays quarterback.”
“Oohh, he's cute! I heard about him transferring here. Break up with Trevor and date him! There, problem solved.”
“ERIN!”
“What? You have addressed me by my name a lot this morning. I like my plan and I think it'll work. Besides, he's a sucky ass baseball player. My goal is to get my best friend to become a WAG and being with him is not going to get you very far. He didn't even get a scholarship here. He was a walk-on!”
“I have literally only met that man one time and yeah I've said your name a lot because how do you wake up this unhinged!?”
“So? Love at first sight is an actual thing. I wasn't there, but I know it happened. And it's been that way since we were three.”
“And he did help me with my pull ups yesterday.” You told her as you shrugged your shoulders.
“I'm going to start planning the wedding when we leave. My class doesn't start until one today.” She replied as she smiled at you.
“I…-”
“What are you two going on about over here?” Your other friend Alisha asked as she sat her bag down to the left of her.
“Y/N is getting married to Joe Burrow! We have to start planning!”
“Erin, shut up!”
“Oh, but he's cute. Do you know if he has any brothers?” Alisha replied as she sat down on the other side of you.
“I.. don't but I will find out for you.”
“And slip them my number while we're at it.”
“He helped her during their workout yesterday. At this point, we can say it was their first date.”
“Erin telling everyone's business as usual.”
“Hey! I'm just good at storytelling! And he had the perfect view of your ass if he helped you with your pull ups now that I think about it.”
“Sometimes I honestly cannot believe you're my best friend.” You said as you couldn't contain your laughter anymore.
“And you aren't getting rid of me any time soon.”
Gymnastics practice was always long and draining so you knew what to expect every time. They typically lasted for three hours and when you were finished, you either got breakfast on campus or went back to your apartment to make something as Ja'Marr would also be blowing up your phone to feed him even though he was on an entire meal plan just like you were.
After taking a shower and throwing on some leggings along with an LSU sweatshirt and your converses, you started to walk out the building with Erin since Alisha had to hurry up to get to her class on time, when you spotted Joe.
Of course, Erin noticed too and squealed.
“Ooh, there goes your man!”
“Erin, be quiet! I don't want him to hear you! You are too loud for it to be eight in the morning!”
“Why not? And I'm always loud. I'm responsible for this love connection and I'm going to be the maid of honor. He NEEDS to know me.”
Joe had turned around and once he spotted you began making his way over.
“Oh shit, here comes your husband!”
“I hate you. I hate you so much right now.”
“You'll get over it.” Erin said as she smiled.
“Morning princess. Just got out of practice?” He asked as he came up to both of you.
“Morning and yes. Now I'm going to stuff my face. Oh Joe, this is my best friend Erin.”
“Hey Erin, pleasure to meet you.”
“You too and the pleasure is all mine.” She said and you couldn't help but laugh quietly to yourself.
“I was actually going to get food if the two of you wanted to come with me.”
“Y/N will go! I have class but she is free ALL MORNING. So I'm going to go and Y/N, I'll text you later. Have fun you two.” Erin practically yelled and you looked at her as if she was crazy.
“And then there were two. Where did you want to go to eat?” Joe asked as Erin had started to walk away.
“You're from Ohio, so you need to get a taste of some good southern cooking that makes you feel like you have just gained ten pounds.”
“Lead the way.”
“We're going on a little adventure off campus, my car is just over there. I think you'll like it.”
Less than a mile from campus was Louie's Cafe that had amazing breakfast as well as brunch foods. Anything that you could possibly think of they served.
On the ride over, the two of you just made small talk and when both of you had placed your orders for your food, you wanted to see how he was feeling for his first game that he would be playing in on Sunday because you already knew Ja'Marr was a nervous wreck.
“How are we feeling about Sunday? You nervous?” You asked as you took a small sip of orange juice.
“A little bit and I can admit it. I mean I played when I was in Ohio, but I was the backup. Now I'm actually starting. A lot of pressure on my shoulders and I feel like I have something to prove. I want them to be able to see that they made the right choice.” Joe told you and you were clinging to every word.
“But that's so exciting! What made you transfer here though out of all places?”
“I didn't want to be sitting on a bench for four years. I wanted to be able to play. I know that I'm good, but I just need a chance to show it.”
“Hmm, I do love a man with confidence. Well I'm very excited for you and my brother. I hate how you guys aren't playing here, but I'll make sure I'm watching.”
“Always confident, never cocky. And I'll try to get my first win as a starting quarterback for you.” He responded as he gave you a small smile.
“I can't wait to see it happen so once you get back here, we can celebrate. I can cook, so I can make you something.”
“I've been craving something my mom makes all the time, Snickers Salad.” Joe replied and you looked at him confused.
“Um? Is that an Ohio thing? Because I have no idea what that is.”
Joe nodded as he laughed and your waiter had set your plates down on the table in front of you.
“It is, but I can always text you the ingredients you need to make it. I figured you could do it justice since Ja'Marr never stops talking about how well you cook.”
“You need my number to be able to do that.” You Cheekily said, but he fired right back.
“Mine is in yours, already. I put mine in when we first got here since I want to be able to see more of these special spots you know about.” Joe confidently told you as he was pouring syrup on his banana pecan pancakes that had been recommended by you.
“I've literally only known you now for about 36 hours and I can say that I like being around you.”
“Good, because I like being around you too.”
Just then your phone rang and of course it was no one other than Ja'Marr.
“Pebbles! Are you at Louie's Cafe!?!? And you didn't take me!? I checked your location! I'm hungry too!”
“I took Joe instead because he doesn't get on my nerves like you do.” You told him as you stabbed your eggs.
“WAIT, you took Joe!?!?”
“Yes, say hi. You're on speaker.”
“Hey Ja'Marr.” Joe said as he was trying not to laugh.
“Joe, just make sure my sister gets me something to go. I'm about to starve messing with her ass.”
“I got you.”
“Bye, baby brother.”
“Wait! I didn't give you my order!”
“Text it to me, bye.”
Once you hung up and placed your phone back on the table, you looked back up at Joe to see him staring at you.
“When do you have class?”
“Not until one.”
“You want to do some more exploring with me? I feel that it's now my obligation as your unofficial tour guide.”
“I get to be around a pretty girl so I'm all for it.”
“Joe, you do know that I have a boyfriend right?” You asked as your face heated up.
“Someone as pretty as you, I'm not surprised. But what does that have to do with me?” He asked as he winked at you.
This is the first time in your life that you were speechless.

Hello! I was wondering if I could request headcanons of a Hogwarts!Yuu introducing the Magic Shift trio + Jack to Quidditch?
A/N: Hello and thank you so much for your request! It has been a rather long while since I have last seen any of the Harry Potter movies so I had to do a little bit of research for this one before I could begin. I hope that it turns out good! Enjoy!
TW: Mentions of severe bodily injury
Request: Magic shift team + Jack with Hogwarts!Yuu showing them Quidditch
A/N #2: Headers and dividers made by @blueberry-pride and @cafekitsune
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually seemed to be rather interested in the sport, as it seemed pretty similar to magic shift in a way only..... somehow more dangerous
Leona recalled the stories that you had recently told him about the sport, especially when the bludgers are involved and directed at you. So it was someone's main position to keep you from scoring by throwing essentially a massive weighted ball right at someone and just hope you don't get knocked off of your broom to fall dozens of feet below?
And you had seen it happen with it nearly killing a student?
And the game is still played??
Maybe there is a way to replicate the game here
And that is what happened, only there was just so much that could be done, as magic from your world and magic from his works very differently
Regardless, it looked like he actually quite enjoyed himself in the game. The others? Not so much, the man is rather competitive when he wants to be
Perhaps you'll tell him of more stories about the game?
Tumblr media
The most interested in the Seeker position after you told him all about the game
Ruggie is quick and quite the sneaky fellow, able to do what needs to be done
So he could easily see himself getting his hands on the Golden Snitch to be able to call the game a win for his side
Did show some concern for beaters and bludgers, because that bludger looks like it will really hurt if It hits you
.....what do you mean 'you would know'??
Cue a long story about you had gotten hit right in the chest with one, causing you to loose balance on your broom, falling to the ground, and then waking up in the infirmary with four broken ribs, a recovering concussion, and a broken leg
And you still continued to play??
New respect for you
Now onto actually trying the game out
You had managed to fashion together a pretty good replication of a Golden Snitch
And now Ruggie understood why it could take so long for a game to end if you are trying to catch that thing because he was ready to scream
Still managed to catch it, but it took some time
It's now a trophy for him and he tells his grandmother about it...... and about you
Wanna visit home with him? His grandmother will love you!
Tumblr media
Was all for this game the moment you told him of it, like, you could see just how excited he was
You see how he is during magic shift, and this is a more down and dirt and dangerous form of it
He wanted to play it and he wanted to play it now
(Don't tell Vil, if he hears how dangerous this game is, he may come and drag Epel back kicking and screaming)
On your way to the magic shift field to bring up this idea to the other members of the club, you recalled the stories of your own time playing, and the injuries you had sustained, one resulting in you unable to play the game for the remainder of the season given the extent of your legs injuries and the injury to your neck
You still have the scar
He absolutely loves them
As much as he would love to be a chaser, a seeker would suit him rather well, as you begin to explain
He is smaller, no jab at him, meaning he is lighter
Meaning he can go much faster with the right push and can easily slip into places where the Golden Snitch may be
With that explanation, Epel could certainly see what you meant and opted for that position
Vil still found out
But seeing that sheer excitement on Epel's face, the skill he had despite being a rookie to the game, and how well he was avoiding getting nearly slammed with a bludger, he took a seat in the stands. He hadn't really seen him in action during magic shift, and especially in this game and while he couldn't quite see the appeal, Epel was happy and you were keeping him safe
Epel will never thank you enough for this
His family now wants to meet you
Tumblr media
You had actually gained a quidditch injury shortly before coming to this world from your own and it was during one of these trips to the infirmary to check on the status of your healing process when you had told him about the game
What do you mean you tore your shoulder from its socket as well as breaking your foot, and wrist trying to catch the Golden Snitch? Is that where you also got that nasty black eye?
Could see the excitement in your face when you countered with the fact that you still managed to catch the Snitch and win the game
But you still got seriously hurt!
And here you are offering to show him the game here? Granted, you have much of what you need here, but it just sounds so dangerous
GIven that you were still recovering your injuries, the magic shift team played after your detailed explanations of the game, while you sat and watched on the sidelines with Jackl
He could commend the skill that was needed for the game, seeing each player carrying out the actions of their designated title
Jack may not play it, but if you decide to keep going after your injuries heal, he will certainly be here to cheer you on
No, his tail is not wagging
Just.... go back to watching the game
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for your request! Have a wonderful day/night!

as a bit of a coda to my post re: C3 likely ending very soon and why some of the worst of C2 fan responses are unlikely, I want to highlight something from C2's ending I forgot that is still relevant: the ending of the campaign is ultimately much more about when the party would part ways, rather than every single thing being resolved. There are also important parts of people's stories that just don't translate well to D&D actual play (notably in C2, Thoreau and Trent being put on public trial).
No matter what Bells Hells do, everything about the moon will have long-term ramifications, and because of Imogen and Fearne we will presumably get some idea of the fate of Ruidusborn in the immediate sense, but anything more needs to marinate. For all I take issue with the ending of Rusty Quill Gaming (not spoiler tagging as it's 2+ years old but: destruction of all magic, arcane and divine, with basically no lead-in or earlier seeding that this was a possibility) they did make the very intelligent choice to end the campaign right after the climactic battle, and then show two brief RP-centric epilogues for the characters, one five years out and one further down the line, to give snapshots of how the world and characters have adapted. Those epilogues did a lot to soften my opinion of an ending that I genuinely think wasn't very well done, because they were thoughtfully chosen.
The Mighty Nein were very much not done adventuring, to a degree, but they were done with the adventures they were having as a group, at least as a constant thing (obviously, they'll bring the gang back together - they're doing so right now). They had conflicting needs that were all somewhat time sensitive, and several of them did wish to pause and spend time with their family at that point. Some of what we thought were plot hooks at the time became stories for another party (Team Wildemount in Molaesmyr was a highlight of C3 for me!), some were the subject of one-shots (Uk'otoa and Trent), and some might be even more long term, whatever that may mean (Chained Oblivion - which could also in theory pay off even in the presumably very few C3 episodes we have left).
So: not every plot thread needs to be wrapped up, the end of a campaign doesn't mean the end of a story, and some parts of a story are better told outside the context of the campaign. Again: I am not judging you for being sad it's ending! In fact, I think anyone who is doing that is kind of an asshole! But I do think it's important to recall that the campaign ending and the story ending are different things, and to consider what actually needs to be wrapped up for a satisfying conclusion, vs what you want to see, particularly because "what you want to see" is very likely to still come to pass down the line as a one-shot, two-shot, beat in a future campaign, or something else. (Unless it's some non-canon shipping bullshit in which case. please check out ao3. great website. will have what you want.)

"Oh he wants you so bad." Himari squeals as she's setting up the volleyball nets.
You click your tongue and turn around, "You and Mori, I swear."
"He does! Everything you're telling me is like straight out of a movie." Himari smiles widely, she was too amped up right now to set up the net.
You rolled your eyes, "It's not like that—"
"Do you like him?" She interrupts you.
"What?-uh, Himari, you—ugh!" You say completely caught in a lie and Himari falls into a fit of laughter.
"You so do. I can tell." She smiles. "Told you Mori is never wrong when it comes to relationships."
"We're not in a relationship. We're friends, and I don't like him." You glare at her. More and more players begin to come into the gym and you give one last final glare at her to shut up.
You see Kuroo come in and your eyes remain on him a little bit too long for your comfort. 'I don't like him. I don't like him.' You mentally say to yourself. 'I need to focus on the upcoming tournament.' You repeat.
It was the last day of the week and with both teams' busy schedules, the practice match with them was today. You try to focus up for it, but your mind keeps wandering to him.
"I changed the line up like we talked about a few days ago." Coach Mori gets your attention and you shake every other thought out of your head to listen.
"What was wrong with—oh, wait I remember." You recall the conversation. "Yeah, so Naomi and I are switched, right?"
She nods, "Yeah, let's see how this works out." She looks at you suspiciously, "You seem distracted."
You frown at her, "Do not. Himari and I—I don't know even know." You laugh. "She's distracting me."
"That is so not true!" Himari laughs, dropping the net and running to tell Mori about your 'date' last night with the captain.
"Keep your voices down!" You look around and see that everybody is busy and distracted. "Everything's fine. He and I are just friends." You clear up, but a tiny part of you really does enjoy being with him.
You like how he makes you laugh. You like his cute hair and how it's messy, but it fits him. You like how he's competitive and gives his all in games.
Your mind wanders and Himari brings you back, "She's even daydreaming about him!"
"Was not!" You say a bit too loudly, your face feels warm and you look away.
"Okay okay, as much as I love this, we need to focus up for the practice match." Coach Mori says and Himari whines to her about how this is a monumental thing.
You talked to a few other teammates while you stretched, trying to forget about everything and get your mind in the game.
"When are you going to ask her out?!" Yamamoto grins at his captain.
"I don't even know if she likes me back." Kuroo says, he had just finished telling every living soul who would listen to him about his dinner with you, that wasn't really a date, but could maybe possibly be considered one?
"Well, she hasn't told you to go away." Yaku laughs, but with a single glare from Kuroo, he pipes down.
"Just go for it. If she doesn't like you, then she doesn't like you. And you'll finally shut up about her." Kenma says as his eyes are glued to his phone.
"It's not that simple!" Kuroo look around nervously, trying to make sure nobody else was listening.
"It really is." Kenma says.
"Oh, and you have so much experience to talk from?" Kuroo crosses his arms.
"Do you at least have her number?" Kai asks, trying to work through the situation Kuroo has put himself in.
Kuroo stays quiet and scratches the back of his head when asked. "Uh.."
"You don't have her number?!" Yaku yells, you turned your head at the sudden volume, not sure what's got Yaku so riled up.
"Will you shut your goddamn mouth for once in your life?" Kuroo whisper-yells at Yaku, and nervously looks around at the number of eyes on them. "No. I haven't gotten her number, YET." He emphasizes.
"So you finally got the balls to hangout with her after three years, are we going to have to wait another three for you to get her number?" Yaku jokes, making a few members of the team laugh.
"Ask her today." Kai encourages.
"I-I can't just ask, what if she thinks I'm weird?" Kuroo says worried.
"She won't, just use a pick up line or something." Yaku rolls his eyes.
"Bro, have you ever seen him flirt? Like ever?" Yamamoto laughs, "I'm sorry, cap, but you have no rizz."
"Anything that comes out of your mouth is brainrot, you know that?" Kenma says after being quiet for a little. The two begin to bicker back and forth.
"Just be nice. You've managed to talk to her at school and hangout." Kai says, ignoring the two younger class-men.
"Yeah, but I thought I was going to die when I did." Kuroo chuckles nervously, he then feels a tap on his arm and turns around.
You smile up at him, "We need to decide who serves first."
He takes a few seconds to respond, trying to calm himself down, "Yeah-uh, yeah for sure." He says quickly.
"I'll let you call it." You smile and flip the coin, he doesn't take his eyes away from you the entire time. He goofily smiles at you, watching your determined expression as you watch the coin.
"Heads." He confidently says while it's in the air. It comes back down and you catch it and flip it on your hand.
"Heads." You frown and confirm.
"We'll serve." He smiles, his eyes traveling to your hair, liking how you did it today.
"Good luck." You say and go back to your team to give them the bad news.
"Back it up one!" Your coach says and you move to middle back. Misaki was to your right and Rikako was on your left. You had your hands on your knees as you waited for Kenma to serve.
"Watch short, Himari. He's coming for you." Misaki says and gets into position to receive. Himari nods and watches the ball as Kenma indeed does serve it to her.
Himari manages to get the ball up high, "Misaki!" She says.
Misaki runs and jumps right before the line and without any words said, everybody began their approaches.
You made eye contact with Misaki just as her hands were about to touch the ball, she gives you a light toss right to your hand and you slam it to the other side.
Fukunaga gets under it and receives it perfectly, making you frown. You quickly move to left back to get ready for the counter attack. Misaki goes to middle back and Rikako to right back.
Kenma sets to Yamamoto, he hits the ball with all he's got and it's flying quickly towards you. Your arms are already in position to receive the ball, what you weren't expecting was for the force of it to be so much, you take most of its power and momentum and end up falling to the ground.
"Nice receive!" The bench yells and you quickly get up, Himari sets a quick to the middle and Kuroo easily gets in front of it to stop it, you notice the ball flying towards the ground quickly, you throw your body and manage to get a hand on the ball to save it.
"It's up!" You yell and get out of the way.
Mei hesitates on taking the ball, "I got it!" Himari yells and Mei moves out of her way, Himari sets the ball to Naomi.
Naomi manages to get it to the other side and Yaku receives it annoyingly perfectly. Everybody watches Kuroo begin his approach, but lags his jump, effectively tricking the blockers. He smirks and hits the ball with nobody in his way.
You're not able to react quickly, but you manage to get one hand on the ball and do a one arm receive. "Sorry, Himari!" You say, it was a little off.
"It's fine!" She yells back and jumps to set, but last second she does a setter dump.
Yaku dove for the ball and it flies in the air, back onto your side. "Free ball!" You all yell. "I go!" Misaki says and bumps the ball to Himari.
"A!" You yell for your position, knowing there wasn't a play. Himari sets you the ball and you jump into the air, you could see the blockers hands and aim for their fingertips, you ricochet the ball off of Kai's hands and it finally hits the ground.
You're panting, but cheering with your team. "God damn." Himari breathes heavily.
"You guys need to do more cardio!" Coach Mori yells from the sideline and coach Nekomata got a kick out of it.
"Nice job, guys." You smile and high five everyone on the court. You all rotate and now you're in left back. "Serve up a good one, Himari." You kick her the ball and she picks it up. She nods and looks at her sister for where to serve.
Rikako switches with Emi and you give her a high five as she joins the front row. You get into position and as the whistle blows, Himari serves the ball onto the other side. She served it hard, but it was easily picked up, "Watch left!" Emi yells.
The ball goes to Yamamoto and you brace yourself for another hard hit, this time he hits a line shot and Himari receives it, she too falls onto the floor after from the impact and power of the ball.
"Get up, Himari!" Coach Mori yells.
"I got it!" Misaki yells and does the same thing as before, "Naomi!" She tosses it to her.
You're watching Naomi's movements and she's confident in the air, you softly smile, knowing she was about to slam the ball, and she does. It wasn't able to be picked up from the guys and you all cheer. "Marry me, Naomi." Himari dramatically says and praises her.
"Buy me dinner first." Naomi winks and accepts everyone's praise.
"Jesus." Yaku chuckles, "My bad, guys." He takes the blame.
"You're good." Kuroo slaps his back and they all get in position to receive again. Himari goes back to serve again, she was able to continue the streak for one more play, but the next was slammed right onto your court by Kuroo.
"Sorry, I read it wrong." Misaki apologizes.
"It's okay, we'll get the next one." You say and go back to receive. Yamamoto goes back to serve and you already know it's going to be intense.
The ball looks like it's going to you but it quickly curves and Misaki wasn't expecting it, the ball ricochets off her arms, "Fuck," she mumbles, "Sorry, I'll get the next one." She says determined.
"You sleeping on me, Misaki? Watch his hand and his finish." Coach Mori reminds and Misaki laughs and nods, knowing she wasn't going to make the same mistake again.
Yamamoto does another serve and it curves just the same, Misaki receives it flawlessly, "Nice pass!" You yell and Himari gets her hands on the ball, she sets it behind her to Emi and she hits the ball, Kuroo gets a touch and it slows the ball down for Yaku to pass it perfectly to Kenma. Kai hits the ball and it goes straight to you, your arms are starting to hurt from receiving all of these hits.
"Sorry, Himari!" You say, it was a little off. It didn't matter to her, she was able to get under it quickly and managed to do a quick to Mei, the attack makes it over and the boys pick it up and get ready to counter attack.
Yamamoto hits the ball and it slams onto the ground. "Hey, we're good. We've got this next one." You encourage and circle up with your team.
It goes back and forth, both teams scoring left and right. You feel yourself not fully immersed in the game, your passes have been off and your hits aren't really going where you want them to.
You're frustrated as you go to serve, you look at your coach and see where she wants you to serve. You take a deep breath and throw the ball into the air. You hit it and it immediately feels off, it goes straight into the net.
"You're good, make it up with a pass." coach Mori encouraged and you nod. Kuroo eyes you and frowns a little.
Kenma is up to serve again and you get in position. He serves it to you, the ball floats a little and you receive it with your hands.
"Sorry, it's off!" You say for what felt like the millionth time.
"You're good, shake it off." Coach Mori says and watches the ball. Himari sets to Keiko in the middle, Fukunaga receives it and Kenma does a quick with Kuroo.
You're still caught up on the sloppy receive you did that you don't notice the ball until last minute and it's too late to use your hands or anything, the ball quickly hits your face. Kuroo had a powerful hit, so it hurt even more.
The room gasps as they see you fall back and hold your face. You look up and feel something warm come down your face, you quickly use your hand to feel and see you're bleeding from your nose.
Your eyes widen and cover your nose, "Oh my god, are you okay?!" Kuroo rushes towards you, feeling awful that he hit you.
"Yeah—yeah I'm okay." You finally say, everything moving in normal time now and not in slow motion.
"You're bleeding. I'm so sorry." He says and looks at you worried. Somebody hands him a towel and he removes your bloody hand away from your nose and he softly places the towel on your face, not wanting to hurt you any further.
"Do you mind taking her to the nurse?" Coach Mori asks Kuroo, to him her smile was innocent, but to Himari and the rest of your teammates, there was a more devious meaning to it.
"Yeah, okay—yeah I can do that." He says and helps you up, he doesn't care if blood gets on him as he touches your hands. He has a hold on you in case it was a concussion and you'd sway. "I'm so so sorry." He apologizes again as he leads you to the nurse.
"It's okay." You say, "It was my fault."
"And how in the world is me hitting you in the face your fault?" He narrows his eyes at you.
"I wasn't paying attention. I was too in my head." You say.
He shakes his head, "I'm really sorry. Does it hurt?"
"What do you think?" You giggle and he smiles, happy that you're not mad at him and he thinks maybe he didn't completely ruin his chance with you.
"Yeah, I'm a little strong, sorry about that." He not-so-subtly brags.
You rolled your eyes and he laughs, he still has a hand on you and you're now hyper aware of it. Weirdly, you're craving more. You shake your head and think you're concussed because you're having these thoughts.
"You alive?" Kuroo notices you had gone quiet.
"Yeah-uh, I'm okay." You say. "Just still thinking about how I was playing."
He hums, "You were playing great."
You shake your head, "My receives were bad, and my hits—"
"That's not what it looked like to me." Kuroo smiles, a faint blush on his face, but he'll blame it on just playing a match if you ask.
"Thanks, Kuroo, but—"
"Nuh uh, I won't hear it." He says and shakes his head repeatedly. His hair following his movements, making his bed head even more cute. 'What am I thinking?' You think to yourself.
"Thank you." You say and look away, feeling your face burn. He opens the door to the nurse and lets you go first. His hand never leaving your back.
"Hi! Is everything alright?" The nurse asks, her eyes slightly widen when she sees Kuroo.
"I got hit in the face, my nose is bleeding." You say and the nurse nods, quickly taking you over to the sink to see the damage and clean the blood up. Luckily the bleeding had for the most part stopped, she hands you a tampon looking thing and plugs your nose with it.
"Tetsurou, there's a sink in the back you can use to wash your hands." The nurse says. You're a little confused as to why she used his first name. You watch Kuroo leave and clean up. "I'm going to ask you a few questions, okay?"
You nod, knowing the questions she was going to ask were to determine if you had a concussion. You answer her questions and luckily you don't have a concussion. Just a headache from the blood loss and your face was still stinging from where the ball had made contact.
Kuroo comes back, "Are you okay?" He asks you. You nod and remove the ice pack from your face to show him the damage he did, his frown deepens.
"You couldn't have hit her anywhere else?" The nurse laughs at him and he sheepishly looks away.
"It was an accident." He can feel her eyes on him.
"I'm sorry my brother hit you." The nurse says and you're taken back.
"Brother?" You ask and look at the two of them. You guess you could see the resemblance, although her hair was a lot more tame than Kuroo.
"This is my sister," Kuroo introduces you, "And this is Y/n."
Her eyes widen at your name, "Y/n, this is—”
Kuroo quickly cut her off, "Yeah, this is Y/n." He gulps, "I—uh told you she was the captain for the girls team." He glares at her.
"Oh, that's right." She smiles, "I'm Tokiko. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too." You smile politely back. "Am I good to play still?"
She hums, "Yup! All good to go."
"Shouldn't you rest? Doesn't your head hurt?" Kuroo asks worriedly.
"I'm okay." You smile, "I've taken some hard hits." He frowns when you say that. "Besides, I've still got to beat you."
He laughs, "Alright, let's go, then." He waves bye to his sister and you politely wave as well.
"How long has she been working here?" You ask, remembering he had said that she was way older and he didn't see her much.
"She just started this week, actually." He chuckles. "She was at a different school, but then she transferred."
You hum, "She doesn't really look like you."
"Yeah, I know." He smiles. "Everybody says that, but we do have the same parents."
You're starting to like being around him. You know you shouldn't be saying that, but it's true. You can't help how often you smile at him, everything just feels so natural with him.
God, if Himari was in your brain, you knew she'd be cheering up and down about how she and her sister were right all along.
The game was almost over by the time you guys got back, you were happy to see that your team was winning. You sit next to your coach, not wanting to go back into the game to ruin their flow.
You cheered from the sidelines as Emi lands the last hit and wins the game. You're smiling hard and Kuroo can't take his eyes off you. He adores how happy you are that your team won.
He's not even upset that his team lost, no, he's not even paying any attention to them.
"Uh hello? Your team is right here." Yaku waves his arms in front of the captain. Kuroo smiles, he smiles so hard his face hurts, Yaku rolls his eyes and calls him a lost cause.
Kuroo decides to man up, he waits until your friends have left your side, and the second they do, his long legs strut towards you quickly.
"I believe I won." You smile as you see him coming up to you.
His heart feels like it's about to pound out of his chest, "Technically, neither of us were playing towards the end." He chuckles. "Are you doing anything tomorrow?" He fiddles with his shorts nervously. He's not sure where exactly he got the confidence to ask, but he's not complaining right now.
You hum, "It's Saturday...no, I don't think so." You say, "Why?" Your heart is racing and you're not even sure why.
"Would you wanna do homework at the library?" He asks, now he's thinking that maybe you don't have homework and he panics, "O-or if you don't have homework, that's—uh, that's fine, you don't have to—"
You find his nervousness cute and interrupt him, "I'd love to." You smile and he feels his entire body almost explode with excitement.
"Great—uh, yeah, I'm looking forward to it." He mentally tells himself to calm down, "Here, put your number in so I can text you the address." He thinks he's so smooth by finally asking to hangout and get your number. He's going to brag to Yaku so hard now if you agree.
"Sure." You agree and he hands you his phone, your nervous fingers type out your number, you feel like you're moving in slow motion. "There, text me so I can save your number ."
He nods quickly and types, 'Hi :)', you chuckle as you see his text pop up. You save his contact info, "Thanks." You smile.
"I should be thanking you." Kuroo laughs, "I'll see you tomorrow!" He says and runs back to his team before he says anything stupid. You shake your head lightly and try to hide your smile. 'I'm in trouble.' You say to yourself mentally.

I hate season 7 of "Buffy the vampire slayer"
Let's get this straight, I like these series. They are fun and entertaining (and I only started watching it because of Spuffy). But I HATE season 7.
First of all, what is the deal with those guys? Out of the blue all characters (Spike excluded. Love him❤️) start doubting Buffy and her leadership. This girl saved all of you hundreds of times, and when the world is on the edge of collapsing, you turn your backs on her?! If she's such a bad leader, then why did you put all the responsibility on her shoulders? Why did you bring her back from heaven? To tell her, that she's not better than you? I'm sorry guys, but your crew is: a whining bitch-boy, magic (read as 'drug') addicted witch, a blorb of energy, a former vengeance demon and a killer watcher. With your list of deeds, I have bad news for you: none of you goes to heaven. NONE. She IS better than you.
Second of all, what is their sudden problem with Spike? In the last season all Scoobies want to kill Spike and say that it's because he's dangerous. Well, he is. Just like all of you. Your killer count talks louder than you (he killed because he was souless and he feeds on blood. You killed because you could. There is difference). They keep saying that he should be taken out because he is dangerous, and yet remind me, who held him by their side while he was useful? And did Scoobies thank him even once? (I actually don't remember. Tell me, if they did) Buffy is the only person who actually tries to be reasonable and accept that Spike has changed. In return she gets a potential slayer,a school headmaster and her own father figure being all mad at her, saying that she is the problem. If you want to kill him so badly, just do it already and stop making Buffy responsible for your own wishes (not like I would forgive them if they did)
Point number 3. Again with the hypocrisy of Scoobies. Faith comes back, sees that girls can't stop complaining and decides to take them out clubbing. Buffy sees that and gets mad (logically). Later on everyone decides that Faith should be the new leader. Why? Why would a former killer and a traitor be a good leader? Because she took a bunch of teens drinking, when you should all be ready to fight? If I recall, it was almost considered a crime for Buffy to rest, when there were better times. Now, when Buffy is tired and stressed from constant responsibility, all the potential slayers say that she's "not cool". Scoobies just can't be more hypocritical. Faith killed people out if her own free will. She teamed up with a villain, and she enjoyed it. Buffy made one mistake of attacking one villain. What do Scoobies get out of that? "Buffy is not better than us. Faith is. 🎶Let's put this guy infront of the crowd🎶". And let's be honest with that: Giles acts petty in here. The only reason he stands against Buffy, is because she got sick of him lying to her and telling her to kill Spike, so she honestly told him that she can't trust any of them. He got offended by her disobedience so much, that he decided to get rid of her. That's not a nice thing to do to a girl who is like a daughter to you.
Btw, Faith deserves a second chance and Spike doesn't? Spike was SOULESS. He wasn't supposed to be good and yet he almost died just to be the better version of himself. At the same time Faith was supposed to be the protector of people, yet she decided to join the homicide. She was creepy enough to SMELL THE KNIFE. And yet we get a whole storyline about "bad Buffy still thinking of her as a killer." The hero we deserve, I suppose? Btw, Faith IS a killer. She enjoyed it. I don't know why Scoobies want to forgive her so badly and give her a bunch of teens, taken away from Buffy, but they don't trust Spike.
And my favourite. The cherry on top. THEY KICKED HER OUT OF HER OWN HOUSE. Giles had his own place. Xander has his own place. Willow wasn't homeless before she moved into the Summers's house. And yet, when they needed a place to put all the potential slayers, they took them into Buffy's house. And then they kick her out. The "good guys".
Buffy needs no enemies with friends like that.

So, I recently watched Helluva Boss and as always I've been prusing the tags for it on tumblr to see what other people think about the story and characters.
Something that stuck out to me is when people say Striker is a hypocrite because he hates the Royals, puts down Blitz and Fizz for being with Royals, but he, himself, works for one. Also that his pitch he gave to Blitz about teaming up to take down Royals was all a lie.
Now, I'm not going to say he's not being a bit of a hypocrite, especially given how much he hates Royals. What I will say is that I understand why Striker wouldn't see it that way (besides the fact he has a seemingly desperate need to feel superior to other imps).
Striker wants to kill Royals--that is very clear. A huge hurtle to that goal is that they are immortal. The only thing that can kill them is Angelic Steel--something that is rare and expensive. Yes, Striker is supposedly a well known assassin, but it's doubtful he'd ever make enough money to afford Angelic Weapons without taking on extremely wealthy clients. The wealthiest would be those at the top.
We don't know if Striker has worked with Royals before. If we assume Stella was the first Royal he was hired by, that makes his choice to work with her make far more sense. Particularly when we take into account who her target is--her equally Royal husband.
Unless stated otherwise later, Stella must have provided Striker with his Angelic Weapons so he could kill Stolas. She doesn't just give him a single weapon, either. She gets him a sniper rifle, pistols, a knife and a rope so he can incapacitate Stolas and take his vast magic abilities away, rendering him helpless. On top of that, she is also paying him money.
Given Stella never brings up the fact he lost the sniper rifle, or demands he return the weapons she provides, this deal he's making, although hypocritical, is only a benefit for Striker. He's getting paid to kill someone he wants to anyway, and a new arsenal that gives him the capability to kill Royals afterward.
This is why I don't think his offer to Blitz was a lie. I think what he told Blitz is his long term goal/plan, and was simply offering Blitz to join him since he found Blitz to be somewhat equal to him after Blitz did so well in the harvest games. Once they killed Stolas, got Stella's money, they would turn around and start using those funds and weapons to kill more Royals.
The reason Striker doesn't see himself as on the same level as Blitz and Fizz with their relationships with Royals is because he sees himself as using Stella, where he perceives Blitz and Fizz as being used. It's true that Blitz gets similar benefits from his relationship with Stolas (if Striker even knows about Blitz using Stolas's spell book for his business, I can't recall) but given what Striker saw of their relationship, he would see Stolas using silly pet names despite Blitz disliking it and see that as Blitz debasing himself publicly for Stolas. Yes, Stella doesn't treat him with the upmost respect, but it's over the phone, without witnesses. Nor does he give her anything in return except a dead husband--someone he would have targeted anyway.
He sees Fizz as even worse because, to him, it appears Fizz has given up his own autonomy to live a cushy lifestyle. Yes, Fizz gains many benefits from being with Ozzie, but Striker views it as letting Ozzie take advantage of him, to let Ozzie treat him like a pet (which some people do, do to some imps). He doesn't know Ozzie loves Fizz--franky I don't think he'd believe a Royal could love an imp at all anyway.
Yes, he may work for a Royal, and take her orders, but he does so to pilfer more and more Angelic Weapons from her as well as take her money, all of which I'm sure he tells himself he will later use against her and the rest of the upper class. It's a business transaction that he actually holds all the cards in. Unlike Blitz and Fizz he doesn't have to publicly debase himself to get the benefits he seeks. At least that's how he sees things.

I don’t think the harassment is acceptable. I think people are really out of pocket doing that, but I do think him establishing what is and isn’t part of his job is fine. And maybe did need to be said, because clearly people didn’t know.
As for using Buddie as promo… idk. The marketing team is gonna do whatever ABC feels will garner the most viewers, and right now it’s Buck being bi and the long held desire to see him and Eddie become canon. They’re gonna milk it however they can, which falls back on Tim, thus him feelings like he needed to explain himself, presumably.
I do agree it could be toned down though, because Buck is now canonically dating someone else, and I don’t recall them teasing Buddie for real when he was with women. So doing it now the way they are is purely because they’re banking on Buddie fans, while also currently not committing.
Plus, everything Buddie related from before has to now be assumed not canon, so it’s putting everyone in a messy spot. Because we have canon, fanon, show runner confirmed but not on screen, and canon jokes that are now floating in the in between because no one knows if the they’ll be acknowledged in canon or get scrapped.
I think people should just calm down and wait to see what the season brings, anyway. Once it’s over and we get an idea of where all the characters are at, then start asking bigger questions or letting out the more angry frustrations.
Hi! Sorry for the late reply. The sheer amount of work that goes into television hasn't often been well realized in fan spaces. The writing, how it translates to screen, the process of acting, all the work by the crew, the pressures from moneymen, managing the expectations of the audience, the long hours and repetition of scenes. How multiple people working on a creative project means multiple interpretations— all of which bleed through. The showrunner has every right to protect himself and the people who work for him. I was mainly trying to draw on my own experiences in how these harassment campaigns happen, how they continue, and how they can be mitigated.
US TV production has a long and rocky history when it comes to queer narratives. That doesn't really end now that there are canonically queer characters on screen and this fallout is part of the response to that tension.
For example, if I engage in the whole Buddie vs. Bucktommy thing (sorry), I'd say both perspectives have a point they don't realize they're making about queerness in television storytelling.
The thesis I feel like Buddie fans are making is there are two queer coded main characters who love each other, who have seasons of build up in their individual characters and in their relationship. Why can't they be together? Because they're two male main characters on network television? Be bold, be brave. Wouldn't it be amazing if they did commit to that story? Wouldn't it be game changing? Sexuality and friendship and love is not set in stone, it's okay to be flexible. M/F relationships are allowed that space to develop within a story and you know if one of them were a woman they probably would be together already.
The thesis I feel like BuckTommy fans are making is that Buddie was never going to happen, realistically, and it's amazing enough that they committed to Buck being canonically bisexual. Why do you want to rock the boat? Don't you see that if you can't embrace this development it could be snatched away at any moment. The show is its own thing within its own context and not the blinkered interpretation you have of two characters. This queerness is canon.
Those two thesis's (thesi?) are rubbing up against each other and building straw men of the other to attack and tear down. A showrunner wading in was only ever going to combust that tension further and that's what happened. What keeps happening.

Love on ice
Steve Harrington x figureskater! Reader
Words: about 1.3k words
Warnings: none, just me talking during the one shot like it's a fleabag episode ahahah
Author's note: Hi! I'M SO SORRY, but saying that uni is kiking my ass is little. I have so much to study and a little time to do it, but after a week (and some day) I finally managed to write a oneshot for the b-day for the beautiful @mystargirl-interlude. It's not much, but I hope you like it!

The first thing you notice upon entering the arena is the cold. It's not that it's not cold outside, but inside this place, because of the ice rink it always feels like entering a freezer.
You have headphones on and don't really hear your surroundings until without really thinking about where you are stepping you collide with a strong, imposing figure. You take a few steps back from that abrupt contact and notice that the wall you had seemed to run into was none other than the famous Steve Harrington. The only nice guy on the field hockey team you've ever met.
Disagreements between these two sports have always been very well known, and even somewhat canonized, but that is not at all the case with our golden boy in front of you. He is always ready to clear the ice rink first in case you have to train more for important competitions, he comes very often to watch your competitions and support your team, but above all he does not denigrate your sport, but on the contrary he always compliments you on your skill and technique, admiring you for what you can do.
Damn I think I need a moment alone, this man is too perfect, ... but back to our story.
Once he, too, realizes who you were, he blushes a little and begins to pour a barrage of excuses on you, believing he has hurt you. For a moment you stand staring at him: his fluffy, at least to the eye but you are sure they would be to the touch as well, brown hair is messily arranged; his brown eyes sparkle under the light of the arena, while his nose is slightly flushed with cold. He is the most beautiful human being you have ever seen.
"Hey it's okay, don't worry. I had to watch where I was going, too." You try to stop him from kneeling down in front of you to apologize. He glares at you as he asks what you were doing there at that moment.
"I don't recall seeing anyone booked now to use the track." He says, looking thoughtful as he tries to remember the sheet hanging at the entrance.
"No indeed, but I have an important competition on Sunday and I can't come to practice this evening because I'm celebrating my birthday with some friends, so I preferred to practice now." You confess, smiling, seeing his puppyish look change to a face of full astonishment and glee as without a second thought he throws his arms around your body and hugs you tightly, sending you spinning a lap or two in the air. You can't help but blush at that gesture, but at the same time you enjoy the feeling of his warm body next to yours. You smell his scent, mint and hairspray, and inside you know that somehow heaven smells the same way.
When he puts you down you feel your cheeks go hot, and quickly you try to turn away, commenting on how you don't want him to see your new wrinkles. He laughs at your joke and takes your face in his hands, and immediately you feel your heart begin to lose its rhythm, going lurching against your rib cage.
"No bullshit, you look beautiful, as always." He comments, looking at you with those bright eyes of his, as you see his gaze fall on your lips for a second, knowing that you did the same.
You, blushing even more, and somehow trying to bring the topic to something other than you, when he really wants to talk about you.
Then out of nowhere he looks at you, and with his usual sly smile, capable of making any girl fall at his feet, he asks you something that leaves you deeply shocked.
"After practice, do you have to see your friends right away?" He asks, and you shake your head.
"I have a couple of hours before I see them." You say, not totally understanding why he asked that question.
"Would you like to take a quick ride with me?" He asks blushing as he continues to blurt out something else. "You know I'd like to spend some time with you, and also celebrate your birthday." You can't help but look at him shocked, not understanding if what is happening is a dream and is all real.
You don't find the words, and simply nod. Under your breath you then blurt out something about going to change so you can start training as soon as possible and so finish earlier, and he in turn nods saying he will wait for you there. You don't even feel like walking as you make your way to the locker room, so surreal did the situation appear to you.
You feel you're skating ten feet above the sky as you think about all the things the two of you are going to do together, and you realize that maybe it wouldn't hurt to bring him to dinner with your friends, too, if he obviously has the desire and the time, already knowing that they're going to make fun of you for life, learning that right now you have the look of a 12-year-old girl on her first crush after he accidentally looked at her in science class. Okay, maybe you're slightly lost. Maybe even more than slightly, but after all, who are we to judge.
At that moment you still don't know that you will spend all your training joking and playing with him, making him do the simplest figures possible, and yet you will see him fail miserably and fall every time. Once he will fall so hard that he will lie completely on the ground, dragging you with him since he was holding your hand, and you will end up looking at each other's lips for a good five minutes before you realize that you will be on top of each other, close enough to feel each other's pulse.
This won't be the first moment, though, where you'll end up kissing the handsome player, since even later while you're outside the gym to make your rounds he'll wipe your face after some ice cream gets on your nose, and in a second you'll feel like you're the only people in the world, and you'll be one second away from kissing each other passionately again in the middle of the street, just like those old Hollywood movies where people still kissed in the rain, giving hope to little girls who would experience a love like theirs; but this time you will be interrupted by your friend calling you on the phone because you are late for dinner.
You won't even realize the wish you've granted when you blow out the candles that night, until you see Steve laughing with one of your friends, who once your love turns around gives you the thumbs up and says with a lip, "Nice shot girl! And she's got a nice ass, too!", only at that instant will you realize that you wished he would kiss you, that Steve would place those soft, fleshy lips of his on yours.
And you don't even know that that wish will come true soon, that same Sunday, when you come down from the podium after winning the race, you will run up to him, to Steve, who had insisted so much on coming to watch the competition because he wanted to support you, going straight into his arms, and in the heat of the moment you will place your lips on his. For a second you'll pull away scared that you've made a misstep, but he won't even give you time to formulate an apology, that he'll rest his lips on yours again, and again it will seem to you that there are only the two of you in the world, no other souls but yours intertwining in that moment in the confusion of the crowd, amid shouts and cackles, while all you can feel is his warm body next to yours, and pure happiness invading you.
But that's future, and who am I to spoil the best story you'll ever see (and experience) ;).

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Two
While watching season two, I took some notes of my thoughts. I only started on S02 E09 so before that there isn't too much.
Sorry, this is going to be mostly Fitzsimmons but you can't really blame me, because it's THEM
But first, two last things for season one "I couldn't live if you didn’t" "Well, I feel the same way. There has to be another way." "You're taking it" "Why would you make me do this? You're my best friend in the world!" "Yeah, you're more than that, Jemma" seems to now live in my head
Also the desperation and intensity in Jemma's voice, while Fitz's is so calm and kinda trembling, but both are absolutely heartbreaking in their own ways
But now to season two:
Fitz having trouble with words is both absolutely adorable and heartbreaking
Bobbi reminded me at first of the person (?) from Asgard who helped them get Lorelei
I am curious why Hunter says that his ex-wife was so horrible because so far, I love Bobbi
I just can't shut up about Fitz. But no-one I know in real life would know what the hell I'm talking about, so I just think about him and write about him
(S02 E03) When Jemma wakes up by the sound of her alarm and the song started playing, I thought "Hold on, I know that song", and yes, I love "God help the Girl"
Also it's kinda ironic because it says "God help the Girl, she needs all the help she can get" just as she steps into the lift which brings her to her work at Hydra
(S02 E04) Hunter: "Guys, drop everything!" Fitz: "No, this is worth a fortune. I'm not gonna drop it."
(S02 E07) "Would anyone like to leave before we get started" I would have raised my hand too
(S02 E09) Mack: "A Storm's coming" - Fitz: "No, weather's fine, actually. There's not a cloud in the sky. I checked."
[Jemma knocks on table] "That's not wood, is it?"
Why is literally any conversation Fitzsimmons have killing me? The "I can work for you, I just can't work with you"? I beg your pardon? How am I supposed to accept that?
"Come home, Jemma" (S02 E11) HQ's their home :D
Fitz's hands trembling :(
(S02 E12) This moment when you recognize the face of the woman that came from the ocean but can't recall WHO it is (Lady Sif)
Fitz seems so left out when Jemma tells him about them changing the ICER
Why is Jemma saying "Sir, the boys were right" so funny to me?
Nooo, Coulson said "Fitz and Simmons", they're no longer one and the same
I mean I agree that it wasn't right that Fitz lied to the rest of the team about Skye but please, can Fitzsimmons just be at least friends and work together
(S02 E14) Jemma: "Oh, Fitz!"; Fitz: "Well, don't 'Oh, Fitz' me!" - I kinda waited for him to say that
I am so confused by this whole "real S.H.I.E.L.D."
"No, it's not that. You're afraid 'cause of what happened to me and Skye, how we both changed. But you know what the scariest change is, Jemma? It's you." You know what? At this point maybe I don't want them to talk at all anymore, if every time they do, I just sit there and think "Why are you doing this to each other?"😭
(S02 E15) "I told you, Leo,[...]" Okay, Jemma, this doesn't feel right, calling him by his first name, I regret asking in the first place
I am REALLY confused by the real S.H.I.E.L.D.
I'm glad that even Fitz puts the USB in the wrong way at first
Did Fitzsimmons finally make up when sitting on the ground by the table when "real S.H.I.E.L.D" attacked?
(S02 E16) Don't do this to me, Jemma, don't say you want Fitz off the plane!
Don't leave Jemma alone, Fitz!
Okay, I've changed my mind. Apparently there was a plan behind Fitz leaving that I didn't catch. ("Nice work, Jemma")
Also: Proscuitto + Mozzarella, Be Safe! Love, Jemma 🥲 - The world's most dangerous sandwich is back
I know it's actually a bit late but I have honestly no idea what S.O. means (I suppose it doesn't mean Significant Other) (Rewatching parts of season one reminded me - Supervising Officer)
I really want to like Bobbi (and I still do) but I am afraid I won't much longer
(S02 E17) I kinda like Lincoln
Skye telling the story about not being anywhere longer than two years despite being 25 (or actually 26) actually brought me to tears
Okay, THAT I didn't expect. That this was Skye's mother
"The Girl. I couldn't save her" I didn't know May could make me cry
I thought that when Fitz was in that public bathroom with Coulson's cube (I forgot the name) that Ward was outside knocking and I already saw Fitz getting captured
(S02 E18) That was quite a run, Fitz, I would have been fallen down at least five times (not to mention my lack of stamina), three times alone on the stairs (I know that others have run more and under different circumstances but still)
I feel for Fitz, rocking his leg, I totally understand
Don't you dare, Ward, talking to Fitz!!
Grateful for Coulson's and Hunter's quick reaction
(S02 E19) Was it worth it, Ward? Betraying S.H.I.E.L.D. for leaving Hydra again like half a season later?
I'm glad Fitzsimmons finally talk to each other again like normal people
"Mistakes were made..." - "By you" "...and people got hurt..." - "By you"
No, I'm not okay. "Be careful, Jemma"😭
"So, how does this work? You just click your heals together and whisper, "There's no place like home"?" Is this a S.H.I.E.L.D. director thing? Quoting The Wizard of Oz?
One moment I really like Skye's mother and ten seconds later I can't stand her
(S02 E21) this whole show is confusing me. Who's on whose side?
Now Gordon too!?
Leave Bobbi alone!!!!
I'm not sure if I like Lincoln anymore
(S02 E22) Nooo, Bobbi!
That's what you've got, Ward! Now your girlfriend's dead
"There's nothing to discuss, Jemma" - "Maybe there is"😢😢 I can't with them
"Science, biatch" I actually squeak-laughed
"We're not bad, we're misled" Aaaaand I like Lincoln again
I need someone asking me out the way Fitz did, asap
I mean I knew what was about to happen to Jemma (I saw a GIF somewhere) but fuck, with sound and context it hurts SO MUCH MORE
Okay, that was it with season two. I know I need to step down a little bit with how many episodes I watch daily (because season two has only been six days), but no matter how much I know that, I just can't stop. But enough with this talk.
It was fun doing this, I think I'll do it again with season three.

your reblog reminds me!! i read your fic about betterment jeremy and didn't leave a comment cuz i don't have a proper ao3 acc and i forgor! and!! i realised that i didn't read the last chapter so i reread the whole fic in full so i can properly gush about it in your inbox right now!! so behold. semi coherent thoughts about your beloved creation.
chapter one! i like the way the story begins so close to canon in shape and mood, set pretty much right after the epilogue but how you expand further and further from it in shape and form that canon in its media restriction cannot show.
in the first two chapters you see the story through jenny's eyes, you really get to sympathise with her feelings - the longing for normality, for everything advance has stripped from her. and since she can't get everything back she needs to get her friend back from them. it's all good intentions, really. jenny just wants to help him. she just wants him to heal. but she is running out of patience (understandably so, but still not proper treatment of someone who's severely traumatized)
as i was rereading chapter 2 and particularly jeremy's breaking point i realised something i haven't quite caught on the first reading. back then i thought he mainly cut himself off so suddenly from the strain and shock of this sudden break in general - the mind catching up with his mouth and nerves at last, the sudden realisation and fear at loss of control and the consequences that may bring. on my second reading, i realised that he specifically cut himself off when it came to his experience at betterment, and with the headache that follows that was more specifically a response to suddenly recalling repressed traumatic memories from betterment. which is even worse.
so, chapter three. i should note, torture and brainwashing in the context described in the fic and as implied in canon is a topic i often find really triggering. i think this is why i didn't read the third chapter when i was reading the fic the first time around - i was worried it was going to get really uncomfortable for me. but i am glad i returned to it, i didn't regret it in the slightest. you struck a good balance for Me Specifically and so i ended up with most thoughts for this chapter
so we get a peek at jeremy's mind and how fractured it is, which is really poignant at this point:
"From then on, Jeremy had always been acutely aware of death. He felt it again the night Disrupt attacked, abducting him, forcing him into hiding. And again, when he snuck his way on set, determined to break the news to the world about-
… about nothing. Nothing that would promote any sort of good in the world. That’s what The Nightly Show was for… Unity, community, sharing the country as a Team. And he nearly ruined all of it, for what? For a few extra seconds in the spotlight? He lost the rights to that when he first lost control of himself."
the breaking point. the before and after. and yet what we see is that he wasn't doing mentally well "before" either. the state of mind that jenny wants him to return to is not a healthy one - something she isn't aware of.
but it gets worse!
the ENDING,,,,, my god the ENDING....... i looooove the ambiguity of it. the underlying dread of possible scenarios this may lead to. i like how ultimately jenny fails (falls, one might say. the third chapter mirrors the song so muchhhh)
it's a very interesting twist on jenny's character and their overall dynamic. i was hoping for a happy ending, i do love my whump, but it's so much better to have the expectations subverted. because of course. of course they both have been hurt and poisoned by the system too much to go back and call it "healing". both of them can't help themselves and they can't help each other. ultimately jenny can't accept jeremy as himself anymore, she doesn't see pre- and post-betterment jeremy as himself anymore. it destroys jenny to see jeremy in such a state and she destroys him in turn.
i might've forgotten something so forgive me if this isn't fully coherent or a bit jagged.
i love your mind.
Tumblr media
printing this whole ask out so i can cut it out and put it on the fridge and then take it off the fridge and then eat it and then print out a second one and then cut that one out and then leave it on the fridge this time.
ABJ is the only thing i have left in this stupid baka world and i am SO GLAD that people have been having so much fun with my better jeremy fic. i noticed that there was hardly any content and i wanted to fill the niche, but i had no idea how much positive reception i would get from this simple (i say simple, it's three whole chapters) fic!!! i still do think it's one of my better fics i've ever written and published, just in regards to pacing and nuance.
speaking of nuance, just for you, as a little treat, here are some things that were either invisibly implied in my work, or was stuff that i was going to add that i decided against. just for you. because i'm feeling whimsical and pretentious:
though with time they'll heal, originally i was going to make a point to bring up that jeremy still had a few bruises from his time at betterment. jenny was going to help him take off his shirt- since he was sweating through it- only to see the blemishes, as well as how much weight he's lost. i ended up cutting it for time, but jeremy's canon weight loss is something that's super important to me and it drives me crazy
though it wasn't (originally) intentional during his treatment, betterment found that a good way to control jeremy's thought process was to convince himself that everything bad in his life could be pinned on him. he's a very cynical person, and naturally is picking at the cracks and finding the bad in every silver lining. it's just in his nature. advance found that, if they turned this methodology back onto himself, it makes him way more receptive to external ideas when he feels like he can't trust or listen to himself
this has grown into a bit of a streak of self hatred, which wasn't the intention, but it was utilitarian, so they kind of left it as is. i think my favorite example of this is this quote right here, where he doesn't consider his actions as being a threat to himself despite the fact he was pointing a gun at his own fucking head
Tumblr media
when jeremy initially loses his temper in chapter two, you're right to observe that what snaps him back to his bettered self is the thought of his treatment at betterment. but also, i made a point of implying that jenny's reactions also really fucking gutted him.
the two worst memories of his life were during the heatwave, and during his second abduction (any other worst memories surrounding betterment specifically are probably repressed). in both of those instances, one of the most mortifying things was seeing jenny frightened. even when he tried his best to be gentle with her during the heatwave hostage situation... he hurt her. scared her. he never let himself live that down. and scaring her again ricochets him back to that moment with such a painful clarity that it knocks the wind straight out of him.
if i had written this after i had gotten the inevitable advancements ending, i for sure would have found a way to rewrite the ending of the nightly show portion so that jeremy sings the national anthem. i also definitely think listening to it was a part of his advance exposure therapy. he knows the words by heart.
speaking of his time at betterment, jeremy spent a lot of time just. on his own, i feel like... not around other people, not being enriched in any meaningful way... when deprived of any sort of enrichment, he's more susceptible to any little scraps he can get his hands on, even if its propaganda. this is another reason why he's so infatuated with the tv, i think. it's popcorn entertainment, sure, but it's also a little luxury for him... and now he can have it whenever he wants...

Bestie you did nottttttt leave us off like that 😭 I knew it had to be either Seokjin or Hoseok to confess to her first! I was worried that Jin would push OC away and stay distant for a while but i’m glad thats not the case. Speaking of Jin that little moment when he was texting with OC and sent her those emojis and said the cat was him was so cute I love him! Also same thing with Tae after the near kiss incident I was so sure he’d completely avoid her and tbh idk if i’m buying the i don’t remember what happened story but i’m hoping he’s telling the truth bc i cannot handle it when the hybrids distance themselves 😭
On a lighter note I will never not laugh any time Hoseok calls Jungkook and Namjoon the ghostbusters he’s such a brat lmao! I love seeing their dynamics unfold more any time we get more paranormal action. I’m curious to see what’s been haunting the Sanders family! I was thinking about how each kid must be absolutely enamored by the hybrids. For Julie it’s Jk like imagine ur mom brings some paranormal investigation group and this tall, handsome, tatted up, and pierced guy shows up to your house??? I’d come out of my room too 💀 and how Ms Sanders said her son loves wolves and how he was looking at Namjoon all starry eyed is so sweet! I can definitely see them way more open to the investigation and discussing their own experiences based on their reactions to the boys alone. It just goes to show how truly important each of the 3 members of the group are.
Ok and let me get into the smut real quick bc i simply cannot help myself. I swear Yoongi makes me want to chew on the table as well 😂 That soft dom energy he was is insane! I give so much credit to OC for not jumping his bones any time he walks into the room. Got me giggling and kicking my feet fr.
There’s so many more moments i’m sure but my little squirrel brain cannot remember them all. I swear i need to start taking notes reporting back 😂 it’s only instances like these I think I prefer wattpad’s design bc imagine how fun it would be to be able to comment on specific paragraphs in that moment. So even if i can’t recall every single moment I love, that made me smile, laugh, want to throw my phone across the room, or chew on tables at the top of my head please know that I enjoy all the little moments in each chapter and your writing is never unappreciated 🥲🫶🏻
fkjalsfjesa I'm sorry bestie!!! Luckily in the next update we pick up right were we left off with Seokjin eeeee 🥺 Seokjin was a little distant, at first, when he found out about Y/N and Yoongi, but mostly because he thought he'd never get to be with her romantically. I think after the cooking class, he just couldn't hold back his feelings anymore! AH the emojis he used 😭 he's such a cutie, just a big kitty!
Ah poor Tae blacked out... def doesn't remember the near-kiss. If he did, I'm sure he'd avoid Y/N like the plague out of embarrassment or shame :( I think he'll take some time to get comfortable with the shifting dynamics, but he's really attached to Y/N, so I don't see him icing her out for too too long.
HA I love that Hoseok is the resident skeptic. Even though he witnessed that ghost in the house, he still doesn't really get it like Namjoon and Jeongguk. Speaking of them, they've struck up an unlikely friendship with their team! I'm super excited to write their investigation scene, and find out what's haunting the family 😉 YESS you're right the two kids took a liking to each of them but gkdalgj YOURE SO RIGHT I'D LEAVE MY ROOM FOR GOTH JEONGGUK TOO. I just I'm so !!! pumped to explore this part of the plot with the 3 of them, I think it will help those two hybrids to get closer to Y/N, since they're the less affectionate, clingy ones.
OOF the smut! I'm being soooo honest I need Yoongi biblically. I'm really glad that you're chewing on the table with me,,,, I have SUCH a thing for soft doms and Yoongi definitely radiates that sooo much. Also fr I'd be in his room NIGHTLY waiting for all of that 💀
LMAOO NOT THE SQUIRREL BRAIN BESTIE!!! As for the Wattpad thought, I've been adding the chapters there and eventually when it's all caught up the monthly updates will go up there too, so if you wanna comment on specific things that might be easier 💜
I love love you!! Thank you so much for being so sweet and kind to me, and for reading Trouvaille, supporting me! Your feedback means so much, and I'm sending you one million hugs 💜💜💜

Family Basics
"So," I can't help but begin, glancing down at the coffee in my hands, fidgeting with the mug handle.
"Yes?" Is his response, and it's in the surety of it that I recall just how much older he is than I am. And while 6 years isn't a lot, it makes me uncomfortable to sit here, his confidence a reminder that he is more experienced in life.
"Oh nothing, I was just hoping you'd have somewhere to start so we aren't just sitting here with coffee just for a photo."
"I was hoping you would start," Is his response, making me look up and meet the green eyes that are gazing into my own. "Most that you would need to know about me can be found online."
The man makes a good point.
Damn it.
"Uh, I can't say I know where to start, I usually avoid talking about myself to the best of my ability," I explain, him nodding along.
"Just begin with the basics. What's your middle name? Your birthday? Do you have family?" Charles prompts, and for the first time today I'm grateful that out of the other drivers in F1 who's team could have come up with this.
"My middle name is Elise. Lynnleigh Elise Earnhardt," Is the first prompt I answer, bringing a smile to his face.
"That's a gorgeous name for a gorgeous woman," He compliments, and I can't help but blush, despite knowing it's a show for the women at the table a few from ours.
"You have a million middle names, don't you? I feel like Logan has joked about it before."
"What is a man that doesn't know what a kilometer is doing making fun of my middle name?" He laughs, and laugh along, because what is Lo doing? "But yes, my full name is Charles Marc Herve Perceval Leclerc."
"Why so many?"
"You'll just have to ask my mother," Charles quips, and the mere comment makes my pulse race. I'm going to have to meet his mother. His brothers.
More terrifying, he's going to have to meet my parents. My brothers.
"Do you have family outside your father?" He asks next, an easy slide from his previous comment, even if he'll regret asking it. "Should I be concerned by the look on your face?"
"Can you fight?" I ask, and he immediately starts laughing, although that quickly ends when he realizes I'm serious.
"Why would I need to fight?" He asks, eyes wide and almost comical, if I wasn't serious.
"I'm the youngest of 4 siblings, the three others being my half brothers that were born before my mom and dad dated," I begin, him nodding for me to continue, coffee cup held to his mouth. "My mom's name is Victoria Hamlin, and she was married at 17 and had my eldest brother Marcus that year, he's 28 now, a lawyer, married to Amanda and they have my two nieces Amelia and Isabelle."
"Should I be taking notes?" He asks, acting as though he's pulling out his phone to take said notes.
"Not unless you want to. You'll probably only end up meeting my parents and maybe a brother or two. But for your sake, I do hope it's Marcus," I assure, although I'm ringing my fingers.
"What about your other brothers makes them so frightening?" Charles asks, and he seems as though he's becoming more comfortable in the idea of these oh so terrifying men.
A mistake on his part.
"Alexander and William, they're twins, 26 at this point, Alex being a cop and Will a firefighter, and both take pride in being muscled idiots who threaten my past boyfriends," I explain, him suddenly getting my point. "They're actually very sweet, all of my brothers are, they're just incredibly protective of me."
"I'm the same way with my brother Arthur," He assures, the idea of him being protective making me smile.
"Sounds as though Arthur and I will get on well," I can't help but laugh. "It takes a certain type of person to survive being the younger sibling."
"Oh I'm sure," He laughs, and it's now that our phones ping in sync, just as I feel myself truly getting comfortable.
Glancing down at the groupchat we've been added to, I know we're going to be thrown into this a hell of a lot faster than either of us expected. We were supposed to get a "soft launch period". Now, the whole world has an assumption we're together.
Prianka the Press Lady : Think you two are a little too convincing. A person just posted this twitter thread on why your body language reads, and I quote, "fucking in private"

Hiya, I was rewatching black clover and realized smth about team E. So finral didn't join cause he was rlly injured (in a coma?) Hamon managed to join the royal knight. Leopold however couldn't. Although Leopold managed to break the crystal (not on time). Do u think there is a reason for this or maybe the higher ups thought they would need hamon more for this?
Btw I rlly love ur content.
Hiya! ^^
Hmmm... This is a very good question tbh. Now, before I begin to speculate, I must admit that half the time I forget the existence of the Royal Knights arc, and as I recall, I fast-forwarded some of the scenes while watching the anime, because I didn't find it particularly interesting. (Though there were a couple of very interesting points, as well as wonderful characterizations of eg Zora, which gave depth to their personalities.)
Moving on to the actual answer....
If someone higher up didn't have a hand in play to protect Leo, which I could pretty much see to be only the decision of a direct family member, it could be about expectations. As in, Leo, as royalty, I would consider as a late bloomer as well, just like Noelle. His skills aren't seen as great as his siblings, which is really unfair because they're comparing over 10 years worth of experience with magic, fighting, and ... being a knight. But he is seen as, as much as it pains me to type, "lesser" Vermillion. And, from the point of view of a higher up, would you want to put someone who is supposed to be capable and is rich in mana, but one that you consider as incompetent, on the battle field and a kind of spot light? Not really, because it might shake the societal structure of Clover.
In layman's terms, there could be a line of thought of "we must not let such a disgrace to royalty into these circles. His downfall would make all of us look bad". Now, again, this is doing very very very veeeerrrryyyyyy wrong on Leopold.
Noelle at least has managed to find her place in her squad, and though Leo seems to be at home at the CLK too, the difference is that Noelle has become stronger by learning to be a team player. She's been introduced to new ideas and she's had to adapt, while Leo is still stagnant in the same tips and ideas that don't work for him specifically. Fue's (and Mereo's) training method's might work for them, but it doesn't mean that they'd work for Leo, and thus, Leo stayed stagnant for a very long time, while Noelle managed a lot of growth.
Or. Then it could be, that as a Royal Knights' Captain, Mereo decided that she won't bring her other little brother onto a field of battle. Maybe she was sentimental and wanted to shield Leopold.
Or then, as you suggested, Hamon was just more useful.
Only Tabs knows
Thanks for dropping by! ^^ AND. I AM GLAD THAT YOU ENJOY MY CONTENT!! 🥺❤️‍🔥

I have been constantly scrolling through most stories of this fandom and I was pretty surprised to see how many times Skeebo is actually used in most au's.
Do you think if Skeebo provided more importance to the show plot than just being the bully (and a very shady criminal since he has committed several crimes), the main trio might actually tolerate him more? Do you think he could provide more of a different purpose if he was able to be a part of the whole ghost battling deal?
Also another question, based on most of the au's of Skeebo that I found, Pac seems to get very defensive/emotional when Skeebo gets really injured or possibly dies. Is that just a part added in fanon where Pacster just cares so much about everyone he knows, or is that actually a canon fact he's still willing to protect and provide help for Skeebo? I feel like there was a comic somewhere showing that Pac still cared, but I do not know where I saw it-
(VERY SORRY IF I'M MAKING THIS LONG, I AM JUST SO CURIOUS TO WHAT YOU THINK. Also love you and your works, they bring a smile to my face :3)
It would make sense to me if the trio did indeed tolerate him more if he was less of a bully.
Would he have joined the ghost-battling efforts then? Probably, but even if we take the bullying aspect away from Skeebo, he doesn't really seem like the type that would be a ghost-fighter, being that he's deathly afraid of ghosts. Unless there's a bit of a personality change as well, then maybe he and some other teens willing to help could've joined the team as well. Other than that, if Skeebo wasn't a bully at all, then I guess I can see them becoming friends.
As for the question on au's on Skeebo, I personally haven't really seen a lot of au's where that's the case? At least from within my sphere of the fandom. There's one fanfic on Ao3 that is an exact match of what you're referring to, and some of @cartooncadet666 's work on Tumblr is a match too, but I don't recall seeing a comic* or similar fanons stated elsewhere that Pac gets defensive/emotional when Skeebo gets hurt. However, I do think it's more of a fanon thing and not exactly a canon thing, because the few times that Pac did try showing care/concern over Skeebo in canon, he was just brushed off and Skeebo went back to his old ways
*Unless you're thinking of the official french comics? There was one small scene in one of the books where Pac rescued Skeebo from his own misgivings, but the scene was entirely comical in nature and doesn't quite match the mood I think you're looking for.
It is canon that Pac is willing to protect and provide for people in need. It's fanon that Pac is willing to go beyond certain boundaries to provide care/protection for (specifically) Skeebo. At least as far as I know, or of what I've seen in the fandom. I hope that answers it at least somewhat ^^'
(Aww and thank you for the kind words!! 🥹💙)

The Light of a Thousand Stars, Ch. 6
Tumblr media
Rating: T
Word Count: 2437
Pairing: Poe/Skywalker!OC
Summary: Commander Dameron and Black Squadron’s continued search for Lor San Tekka brings them closer and closer to danger and exposing the First Order as a sinister threat. A new pilot on the team threatens their tight dynamic and although Poe is trying to desperately keep them together, he knows that at some point Evelyn and Kaleb are going to have to go their separate ways–to find their father and bring him back to the Resistance. Sequel to We Belong to the Stars.
Finally getting around to updating my fics!
"Are you allowed to be seen with me now that your girlfriend isn't hanging around?"
Poe straightened his shoulders. The implication by Suralinda that he was controlled by Evelyn was somewhat unnerving. "I just came to see how you were doing."
Suralinda smiled at him, sarcastically. "I've been regulated to janitorial duties--you tell me how I'm doing, Commander." She pushed her cleaning bucket away with the tip of her boot. "I'd be doing better if I could actually pilot something."
He shook his head. "You know why you can't."
She scowled at him. "I've seen how depleted your ranks are, Dameron. You need me."
"Nobody trusts you, Sura. I can't put you in a cockpit if no one trusts you."
"Do you trust me, Poe?"
Poe stalled; he knew that he shouldn't trust her after what happened on Pheryon, especially since she so easily put Evelyn's life in danger, but there was all their history flying together before that. He couldn't just forget about all the times she did have his back. "It doesn't matter what I think," he said, softly. "Final say comes from the General."
Suralinda sighed, angrily. "Which means I'll never do anything more than push a mop around this place. Sad, because if you had just come alone like I had asked of you, and not brought the Jedi princess along--I might have been able to gain the General's trust eventually."
He bristled, unable to cover up his protective nature of Evelyn or his anger. "That Jedi princess is essential to the survival of the galaxy; without her we might all be imprisoned at First Order labor camps for the rest of our lives," Poe snapped. "I don't know about you, but that's a future I don't want to be a part of."
"Did I strike a nerve?"
"Yeah. You did."
"Realize that girl could slice you in half with a lightsaber."
"Sure. But I'm not worried; she hasn't used it in so long."
Narrowing her eyes, Suralinda stared at him. This intrigued her; a force user as powerful as Evelyn that didn't use her lightsaber. She had not encountered very many Jedi in her life time, mainly because they had been wiped out by the Empire, but she knew how much they did cherish their weapon. "Why not?"
Poe took a step back and leaned against a bulkhead, recalling Kaleb coaxing Evelyn to let him have her saber--after he and Poe had stumbled upon her attempting to dismantle it and destroy it.  "Hasn't used it since the Knights of Ren killed all the Jedi on Yavin."
Suralinda felt some anger melt away. It had been right before she mustered out of the Navy, but she'd seen the intel holos, the death and destruction--she had been told just like everyone else to keep their mouth shut and that it was a band of pirates looting the old temples that slaughtered the Jedi. What a load of shit that had been. "That was almost six years ago."
"To her, it might as well have been yesterday," he responded.
"Lucky for us she had the weapon on Pheryon," she said.
It was lucky for them; but Poe had noticed Evelyn carrying the weapon long before they had traveled to Pheryon. He just knew that you didn't talk about it with her. "Maybe it was some instinct she had to bring it with her."
Brow furrowed, Suralinda glanced at him. He knew more than he was letting on; she had already pressed him enough--for today at least. As luck would have it anyways, he was being paged to report to the command center. "Sounds like the General's got a mission for you."
Poe would be surprised by that since they had not assigned a replacement pilot for while Evelyn was away. "Sounds like it. See ya around."
Suralinda frowned as he turned his back and walked away. "See ya around, Dameron."
****
Evelyn always preferred the challenge of flying a ship like the Falcon over her aunt's state of the art yacht. However, the bunks were much more comfortable and the cockpit wasn't as cramped.
C3P-O certainly didn't whine as much on the Mirror Bright.
Kaleb was the one doing the most whining that Leia had sent the protocol droid along with the Skywalker siblings. "Tell me again why you're here, Threepio?"
"Princess Leia thought I might be able to help you translate any ancient Jedi texts."
"Our dad taught us that."
"Then the princess must not have been aware that Master Luke had already instructed you in those skills."
"Probably not; the Jedi wasn't a subject of conversation when Aunt Leia and Uncle Han came to visit. But we're looking for Dad, not Jedi texts."
"I am not sure why the princess sent me with you then."
"Neither am I, Threepio. Which is why I asked in the first place!"
Laughing to herself, Evelyn eyed the navicomputer. Unlike Poe, her brother always deferred to letting her fly; according to Kaleb she was the better pilot after all. She made an adjustment and turned in her chair towards her brother and the protocol droid. "We should be pulling out of hyperspace in about fifteen minutes. Maybe you can make yourself useful, Threepio and tell us a little bit about the planet."
Kaleb threw her a look as C-3PO launched into a history lecture. "Of course, Mistress Evelyn! Jedha is actually a moon, known for it's natural abundance of kybor crystal--which is the entire reason that the Jedi--and then eventually the Empire--took interest in it. I do believe that since the destruction of the Holy City by the Empire, the moon has remained vastly unpopulated. Not many survived the destruction, sadly. It wiped out any religions that still followed the teachings of the Jedi and the Force."
Evelyn leaned back, recalling something her father had once taught her. "The Guardians of the Whilis?"
Threepio enthusiastically acknowledged her. "Yes! One of the religions anyways, there were also followers of the Church of the Force in the Holy City. Again, many of them were killed when the Empire destroyed the city with the Death Star."
"Didn't know the Death Star could just destroy cities."
"Grand Moff Tarkin was just waiting for the more opportune time to demonstrate it's full fire power."
"Hmmm...Alderaan was indeed a bigger statement."
"I have traveled to Jedha before," Threepio stated, matter-of-factly.
"You did?" Evelyn and Kaleb asked at the same time.
"Yes, with Master Luke, Captain Solo, and Princess Leia. We went to convince fighters to join the Alliance."
Beeping from the navicomputer pulled Evelyn's attention away from the conversation and back to piloting the Mirror Bright. She guided the ship down to the surface of the moon, touching down just outside of the massive crater that once was the Holy City. Shutting the engines down, Evelyn stared at the destruction the Death Star had once caused. The reign of terror didn't stop at Jedha, the Imperial base on Scarif, Alderran...and it didn't stop with the death of the Empire, Sela had warned just before Ben's fall to the dark side.
Kaleb unlatched his safety harness and climbed out of the co-pilot's chair. He pat his sister on the shoulder; he too also remembered what their mother had told them. Sela had known that the First Order was a threat, she'd always known they were a threat--a separate fraction amongst the most evil of the Imperial leaders. Before her death, she was anxious that her warnings were going unheeded. She was right. "Let's go take a look around," he whispered.
Evelyn followed suit, unlatching her safety harness and following her brother. She stood slightly behind him as he lowered the hatch and ramp; bright sunlight flooded the cabin and she had to shield her eyes, briefly. When they adjusted to see the barren landscape before her, she muttered, "Not much to look at."
"That's because you're used to the vegetation of D'Qar."
"You'd rather live in a desert?"
"I'd rather not stand here and debate it."
"Fine."
Leading the way, Kaleb headed down the ramp and they in the opposite direction of the massive crater left behind by the Death Star. The maps they had suggested that there might be ruins of a temple nearby. Peering down the edge of steep hill, Kaleb looked over his shoulder at Evelyn and C-3PO. "You might want to sit this one out, Threepio--looks pretty treacherous."
Threepio glanced at Evelyn and then back at Kaleb. "I was under orders from Princess Leia to help you. I assure you Master Kaleb, I will not slow down your descent into the canyon. I have been to this planet before."
Kaleb shrugged. "Okay, suit yourself, but one wrong step and you could be nothing more than a pile of parts at the bottom of this canyon."
Evelyn peeked over the edge herself. "A pile of parts that will not be salvageable."
"I think I will stay with the ship," C-3PO stated.
"Good idea," Kaleb replied with a faint smile. "Come on, Evie."
"We'll be back," Evelyn told the droid before the two Jedi carefully began the descent into the canyon.
In what felt like another lifetime ago, Luke had taken a very young Kaleb and Evelyn on a similar trip--to the canyons back on Tatooine. Sela had not been thrilled with the idea that her husband was taking her children hiking in dangerous canyons, but Kaleb recalled Luke assuring his wife that he'd grown up in those canyons and everything would be fine--Evelyn had come home with a scraped knee.
At the age of five she hadn't been very agile. A far contrast to now, as she adeptly navigated the rocks and ledges inside the canyon they were hiking down. Scrape knees were the least of their concerns right now. Desperation among the Resistance was mounting as spies revealed more and more First Order plans, strongholds, and the rumors circulating about the weapon of mass destruction they were building.
Kaleb made it to be bottom of the canyon first, turning to see if he his sister needed any assistance. As her feet hit the sandy, dusty bottom of the canyon, something screamed at him through the Force.
There was barely time to react as the steal clad knight emerged from behind the rock. Evelyn, not opened to the Force, startled and it was just the right amount of time the dark side user needed to slash his sword across her abdomen. She managed to unlatch and ignite her lightsaber, but the strenuous swing of the blade that followed barely made a dent on the Knight of Ren's armor.
"Hey!" Kaleb shouted, snapping his own lightsaber to life. He reached out and called Evelyn's weapon to his free hand. "Get away from her!"
Turning towards him, the knight charged and swung his massive blade at the young Jedi. Kaleb met the blow with his lightsaber, throwing out Evelyn's lightsaber in an attempt to cut off the warrior's legs.  To his surprise the Knight of Ren was quick and pulled his blade away from his, meeting the blow he had thrown out with Evelyn's.
Pushing his blade down onto Kaleb's, the knight attempted to push the Jedi backwards, to throw Kaleb off balance and the pressure it caused nearly snapped his arm.  Quickly Kaleb pulled Evelyn's blade back and slashed at the Knight of Ren's head with both lightsabers.  The massive dark warrior threw his blade horizontally into the air, meeting the two weapons head on. In order to ward off the latest onslaught, Kaleb pushed upwards, hitting the knight in square in the chest with his knee.
Stumbling away from Kaleb, the knight cursed. Kaleb clutched both weapons in his hand, knowing that this was far from over. Force, he wished he had Evelyn on his side right now. He was strong, but he wasn't sure he was strong enough to fight the Knight of Ren on his own. However, not wearing heavy metal armor gave Kaleb a slight advantage. He was much nimble in a fight without it and could easily keep up the attack. He was wearing the knight down--and both of them knew it. "Tired yet?" the Jedi mocked.
“Jedi brat,” the knight hissed, raising his sword.  “My brothers should have killed you five years ago--I will finish the job now!”  The massive knight crouched down into a defensive position, his eyes narrowing on Kaleb's face, unaware that Evelyn was moving behind him.
Kaleb however saw his sister.  “I had other plans besides dying that night--your brothers should have made sure I was good and dead before leaving me behind in that jungle. Not my fault they're that stupid.”  He was happy to see the knight bristle with rage, moving in to lunge at the young Jedi.  Kaleb struck first, swinging his lightsaber out forcing the warrior to meet his blow.  As the weapons crashed together, the lightsaber screaming and squealing against the metal of the sword, Kaleb snapped,” And I'm not about to let you easily finish the job now."
Out of the corner of his eye, Kaleb could see Evelyn get to her feet, her hand reaching out and he let go of her blade.  It soared through the air towards her open palm, startling the knight. Kaleb didn't hesitate, he stretched out to his sister and they connected, two minds becoming one.
The Knight of Ren was overwhelmed.  While he would have been able to fight each of the Skywalker siblings on his own fairly well, he was not prepared for the coordination of Kaleb and Evelyn's attack.  He found himself stumbling and blocking more than striking, something that he was not used to.  Kaleb would throw one blow at him and pull back leaving room for Evelyn to throw a blow.  They had backed the Knight of Ren into the rocky wall of the canyon.
In a futile attempt to escape, the knight swung the hilt of his sword at Kaleb, catching him in the Temple.  The young man screamed in pain as the blade cut into the thin, tender skin and stumbled backwards.  Confident that he was only facing Evelyn now the knight went to pull back his weapon and attack, when he felt something hot pierce his stomach.
With a grunt Evelyn pulled her lightsaber from the Knight of Ren's stomach. The dark side warrior stared at the young woman with lifeless red eyes through the slit in his helmet, clutching his stomach as he fell over, dead.
