Let’s clear something up. In the HL universe, you won’t be introducing Joker to anyone. I’m sorry anon, Joker is a secret in your life and will remain that way.

There are only four people who have seen Joker’s scars (who are still alive) Frost, Mac, Neo and you.

Out of those four; you have the honor of seeing Joker’s bare face the most. Joker exposes his face to you on a daily basis. J can be himself and not be the criminal Gotham City makes him out to be when around you.

It’s common practice for Joker to walk around the apartment like this.

I’ve written this in various oneshots and in the main story. If Joker does go out with you, (like on dates, errands, etc.) he will wear a face mask to cover his scars. He’s trying to blend in not stand out when he’s with you.

Overtime, Joker stops permanently dying his hair (per your request) and his skin can breathe without constantly applying greasepaint to it every night. You are slowly adapting Joker back into society one day at a time to the point where it’s a shock when he does wear his clown makeup.

It’s best to assume that Joker is barefaced when he’s around his Light. That’s the norm for him. 😍

Side note: I love describing J with freckles and unnaturally green eyes so let that image sink in anon. Joker is fine AF with or without makeup 💅🏾

Listen, I'm half-Greek half-Albanian but I was raised in Albania, a literally a poor invoremnent with a very high sexism which is hard for us girls to live in, not to menrion ppl are really savages and disrescpeftul. Anyway what I wanted to say is that, albanians along with some of the rest of the world, believes we have a story and a culture, just like others, but the truth is, that we don't. My dad is Greek but was raised in Albania, he is a journalist he has the answers and his opinions but he also studied. When Albanians, along with other origins, were captured by the Turks during the Ottoman Empire, that's when Albanians were created, along with their culture and outfits. Now, in 2024, our mentality is still very old, and we are like the modern Ottoman Empire. It's hard to accept, but in my opinion, we don't have a culture. It means Albanians are not the descendants of Illyrians. I think it's a lie to manipulate us, while some want to have a culture and history to be proud of.

We, Albanians, dont have a culture, or a history, we are made of muslims, but here also live catoliths and orthodox, all together. In my opinion Albanians are like, Turks living with Italians and Greeks, as we have their culture and etc, ofc this is not clarified, everybody has their own opinions, even Skanderbeg isn't clarified of what origin he was from, yet Albanians still think he is their hero or is from their origin.

Hmm. This is an interesting question. Does the Devildom have knowledge of things the human world doesn't? As in this example with Albanians?

I think it's possible. The game itself has an overall sense of the Devildom having knowledge that humans don't have. Such as magic and the very existence of angels and demons. While it seems to me that most Devildom knowledge comes from the Devildom itself or is about its history or the uses of magic there, I don't think it's a stretch to say that they have some hidden knowledge of the human world.

Since sorcerers and witches seem to have been interacting with demons for as long as the Devildom has existed, it stands to reason that there's been some intermingling of things. And that might include secret knowledge, stories, or even ancient books. Things that have passed into the Devildom by way of these humans that have contact with its denizens.

If this did happen and there was an exchange there, then that information would last much longer in the Devildom than it would in the human world. Humans forget things or lose things because their lives are short. But I could see demons hoarding such things for their entire existence and that might be millions of years.

It might be hard to find, depending on how old it is. If the demons were given clay tablets rather than books, for instance. Or even more with oral history - like the witch or sorcerer gave the demon a secret but only in a whisper. Maybe demons have ways of storing such information (here I am getting whimsical and thinking of a bottle holding a single whispered secret), but they might just remember it too.

In the end, I think it's possible! Since we're dealing with a fictional location, you can sort of incorporate these details however you need to in order to make what you want happen. I don't know how canon any of that would be, since they don't really give us this much detail. But for your own story or headcanons, I think it could work!

So explain my inspiration I figured I would explain where Shivan started

I started writing Shivan back for a DnD campaign to play as a guide for the party while I DM'd. I didn't want a guide that just pointed them the right way and was just there for that. I wanted a character that was one they wanted to come back to again and again, to guide them but also be enjoyed. Someone they could befriend, a memorable NPC. From there well,,, He just grew a LOT.

A lot of Shivan's inspiration comes from Thingol from the LOTR series. Well known for the fact that Thingol did not listen to his wife Melian about the silmaril and fuckin did it anyways. Shivan's the same in that in both verses he's in right now- someone tells him doing something will not be a good idea, and he just does not listen. Only big difference is Shivan doesn't doom an entire group of people for his actions, just himself.

For FF7 verse he was warned so many times about both Wall Market and the Honeybee and the dangers that came with it from people who had been there, and didn't care to listen and gets involved. Which leads to him falling under Corneo's thumb.

In the DND verse, despite warnings not to get attached to certain people, as he is a cleric of fate and the next chosen god of fate, he does get attachments and gets involved, despite the many different warnings it wont end well. This ends with him becoming blind when he tries to step in and help.

This is kind of a characters question. Eight doesn’t seem to deal with many Sith (asides from D.Jadus, D.Zorrid, brief D.Raven). He interacts with a lot of ciphers (OCs+similar characters), so I wonder. Depending on timeline, did he have any interactions with the Council (D.Baras and D.Thanaton), or (L.Wraith and D.Nox)? Like, D.Vowrawn and D.Baras have spies, even D.Nox could (OC dependant), as “The Bride” declining “offers” so, does he interact with Councillors? Their aids/spies? Neither?

Besides a handful of side cameos in the stories of my friends, Eight tends to make himself scarce when it comes to other Sith. They don't interest him as much as Jadus, and he's both been trained and taught to stay well away from them if he can.

But! If we're talking about that, he did infiltrate Baras' network of spies once as a double-agent, even working to aid the young Wrath's ascension from behind the scenes. Though they never met face to face, and his stint as Baras' spy was short-lived, he did enough to keep an eye on the brewing conflict in Baras' powerbase and reported back to Intelligence on it. Baras... may have been persuaded to have a fondness for him, even after he "transferred" out of his network of spies.

As for the inquisitor--he's never met Thanaton, nor Darth Nox, but he greatly admires the mystique surrounding the rise of such humble sounding beginnings. It's not everyday you hear such juicy stories about dethroning not one but two major players in the Sith hierarchy, and all of Intelligence was abuzz about the usurping of power.

Post-class story and during his stint as the Bride is a different case entirely, which sees Eight interacting with these Sith directly, if not face-to-face given his new role as mouthpiece and director of most matters concerning Jadus' powerbase. He interacts with both Lord, councillor, and aide alike, and though he makes little use of Jadus' remaining authority beyond protecting his assets and power, this does make him a sort of diplomat when it comes to matters concerning other Sith. Given his master's absence, it's only natural that he has to act in his place. This, of course, means politicking just as Jadus had, and while some scoff in the face of his empty authority, others came to accept and even ally themselves with him.

(As it turns out, a loyal cult makes a great network of spies themselves).

Vowrawn, if he's Emperor in this timeline, or even Acina would definitely have made contact with him whether directly or indirectly-- it always pays to have a shadow organization under your belt that isn't overseen by a potential rival. Whether that makes him a target or an asset for Darth Xarion remains to be seen, but it's a charming thought that one little agent is threatening the whole of Sith Intelligence, all from the safety of retirement.

It's quite late while i answer this and i have school tomorrow buuut anyways! I currently don't have interesting analyses of those characters (or other characters) right now BUT i might. In the future. Clawdeen and Frankie specifically are a little tricky to analyse for me because goody-two-shoes characters are always hard for me to analyse. But I'm sure I'll find something! After a rewatch or two! Probably!!

but nowadays, it's a mix between anne -- her strength to act as if what happened to her isn't that big of a deal, constantly downplaying the effects of her prolonged stay in pandoria* -- and sive, weirdly enough. their relationship is suuuper strained (there's an accident that happens some time before the vortex opens) but ines is entranced by this centuries-old entity, older than the roman ruins perhaps. she, too, wishes she could fly and act this mighty towards fripp for just a day.

(some more rambling below, because once i start talking about this damn horse game, i can't be stopped)

*obviously anne knows and shows that it was hell in her crystal cell, the state of mind she's in when she tries to 'save' concorde by going behind everyone's backs to steal the four-leaf clover is proof of that, but i still feel like she keeps a lot of her pain and anger to herself (i.e. i'd like to see her explode in the future) -- i could talk about anne for hours so i'll stop here.

JUST THE EXCUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR

So, for me personally, a lot of the time when I draw fat characters, I'm not looking to specifically capture the specifics of fat as much as the feel of fat. Bulkier, rounder shapes in the right places that has a feeling of weight to em! A lot of that is intuition and simplification at this point, but it all works on the same frame as just any ol' person. Like take this-

For example. This is the basis for any body shape, not just the more average one that it may imply. Sure- it can be that average body shape:

But also a fat one too!

And a big part of that is knowing where fat usually tends to bunch up on the body, so lets take a look piece by piece! (Please keep in mind this is very simplified, and not completely precise in some parts)

THE FACE: Cheeks (in purple) and especially the chin (in light blue) are the places where a lot of the fat is gonna wanna gather and round out on your face! Additionally, theres a small pocket of fat beneath the cranium on the backside of your head. It's small, but it is there. I believe fat can build up elsewhere like the bridge of your nose and forehead, but generally speaking, you're gonna have a whole lot more buildup in other places first.

THE TORSO: A lot of the fat built up on the torso is gonna be sent to your tummy. More cushioning for vital organs, mostly out of the way, it just makes sense. Additionally, the lower backs fat builds up and joins with a patch of fat on your sides that forms what is typically referred to as the love handles to make that double belly look. Along with this, the immediate next target for the torso is the breasts, followed by the upper back!

THE ARMS: For this limb, a VERY notable amount of the fat present builds up on the tricep and bicep areas, lessening once you get towards the flexor and extensor areas. You can almost think of the arm as a sort of triangular shape, wide side starting from the shoulder and tapering towards the hand, which itself mostly builds up fat around the back of the hand and the fingers. The shoulders themselves don't build up too much fat unless you got a lot

THE LEGS: And finally, you can think of the legs having pretty similar curves to what you're probably already used to thinking. The front of the thighs getting a big buildup, along with the back of the calves, the other parts being flatter in turn. As far as the feet go- similarly to the hands, the top of the feet, along with the heels get most of the buildup, as fat on your soles would impede mobility. The glute, hip and crotch area will also especially build up fat, lending to the same triangular shape that you can see in the arm!

A big thing to note with fat is that it tends to taper off towards joints. Your knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, and all the other places are gonna have significantly less fat so that you remain mobile and flexible, as that's important!

Now that we have an idea of where fat builds up on the body, you might have something that looks kinda like this

Which yes, does demonstrate a solid understanding of the places fat builds up, lacks the weight you're probably trying to convey, which brings us to out next point! Fat is well... heavy! Gravity is what gives fat much of it's shape, especially as you tread towards larger and larger bodies.

This is demonstrated really well on the arms especially-

Those big ol' bits of fat'll really start to sag when left hanging, and they will squish like hell if they run into something. I like to think of these bits of fat as big ol' ovals that squash and stretch depending on if there's an obstacle in their way or not

These are the important shapes to remember when it comes to the weightiness of fat! If you take all of this into mind, you should be getting something a lot closer to that shape you've been after!

Oh, and always remember that fat bodies come in all variety of shapes and sizes! Play around with a whole lot, and seek out all the resources you can! it'll really lend to your knowledge when it comes to this kinda stuff!

And as I always recommend when it comes to learning art- look at what your favorite artists do with fat bodies. See what you really like about the fat bodies they draw and try to replicate it in your own work, I promise you it's one of the most helpful things ever.

This is like the most basic of basics when it comes to drawing fat bodies though. If there's any additional thing about fat bodies, or maybe you want clarification on something, don't be afraid to ask! If there's enough to cover, I'll make an addition to this post!
