I had this idea awhile back when bug Dewi was first introduced where our girl Sam gets buggified and transported to Hollownest (Will Dewi) and obviously nobody knows what's going on but Sam gets it in her head that "these bugs know magic. They know what's going on, they are just keeping us here." And she tries to convince Dewi but he (obviously) trusts his bug friends more than his cousin (who tried to sell his friends to the government) so she sneaks away down the well and attempts to find a cure herself.

Zote would be the first to notice that she disappeared

idk why but i’m in a tara mood so this was definitely more fun to write. it’s more like headcanons than my normal ones just because i think it’s interesting to follow and i had lots of ideas but not necessarily following a through-line story like many of them do

you and Tara meet at Blackmore and she is instantly fixated on you. it’s something she tries to hide at first, she’s too used to being something of a cool, aloof girl

you’re friendly, kind, funny, and smart, and it feels weird— like when she’s with you, she’s finally breathing at full capacity. it’s kind of odd at first, that you cut away the facade she constantly puts up. with other people who chase her and flirt with her, it feels like breathing, but when you do it, it catches her off guard, and it makes her stumble, especially the first time

she’s always bugging asking Anika if you’re coming to hang out with them or at a party, and gets a bit disappointed whenever the answer is no. she’ll still go, since Mindy would kill her if she didn’t, but she’s way less excited than before

Tara decides to go the natural route, and see you out in public, but you don’t have the same major so you pretty much never cross paths on campus

she gets increasingly frustrated, going to back to back parties in search of you on a friday night, only to discover that your instagram story says you were actually at the library the entire time

she does the exact same thing the next day, on a saturday night, and ends up going to four parties only to find that you’re once more not even there

after giving up on that she just goes into your dms and musters enough courage after a week to finally send a message asking you to hang out

after you start dating, it’s even worse than tara thought

she needs you so so so bad, this girl is down atrocious

you’re pretty much inseparable after that point, not that tara would ever admit it. she’s not used to needing anyone ever, with sam leaving and her mom being the way she is ever

you go on a trip for a week with your family around the holidays and every night you and Tara fall asleep on the phone together, or you facetime for a while, and she’s counting down the days until you come back

she wants to know everything, and she watches with a small smile when you’re excitedly explaining how the trip is going

she picks you up from the airport with one of those cheesy signs, but she pretty much drops it and rushes into your arms, and she’s crying

she hates crying in public, but she’s missed you so much

she tells you everything about every movie she’s pretty much ever watched, sometimes as a way to help you sleep. you’re not actually completely listening, you just fall asleep better to her voice and movies are a thing she can talk about for a LOOOONG time

she’ll show you her favourites that she’s seen a million times, only instead of watching the movie, she’s watching your face and your expressions.

she tracks your location, but not because she’s suspicious of you. it’s because she’s paranoid that something could happen to you, and that’s the last thing she would want in the universe

if ghostface did ever come back, she’s the first to get you to safety. she’d definitely try the say-something-mean-to-get-you-to-leave tactic, but it wouldn’t work, and you’d just hold her, forehead to forehead while she cries about needing you and needing to keep you safe at the same time

she steals your shirts and your jackets whenever she can. it smells like you and it keeps her warm, and she’ll “accidentally” forget her jacket at home during the winter

she’s definitely a jealous person. she knows that everyone wants you and honestly she can’t blame them, but you’re hers and she wants everyone else to know. when a girl will approach you at the party that Tara brought you to, and she looks a little too comfortable, Tara will grab you by the arm and drag you hastily upstairs to claim her territory, and mark up your neck for proof

she’ll definitely be the type to deny she’s clingy. you’ll joking say “you’re so clingy” when she’s got her arms wrapped around you, and she’ll scoff and get genuinely offended by the insinuation that she needs you and clings to you

then of course she’ll want to cuddle 5 minutes later

Ok he didn’t really have a thing to have a bad feeling about so far the day has been uneventful (which is odd considering it’s HIM) so John really didn’t know what was going on to make him so unsettled

But just in case (oh gods he’s starting to sound like the bats) he checked all of the protective runes on the house of mystery than checked every room for anything that all but when nothing turned up he just thought he was being paranoid

And while trying to calm himself down on the couch he heard something from behind him so he looked and when he did he saw

The Bloody Fucking Door

It was on the floor and a Being with white hair and that’s all he could really see from the hood covering their face and a mask with some of their hair coming out from under the hood kicked it the door down but before John could do anything the being grabbed him and throw him through the portal that was not there a second ago 

What has John’s life come to at this point he thought before he passed out with a cold feeling on his back and the blurry figure walking through the same portal

John wakes up to poking in his face and the sound of two pre-teens arguing

“Are you sure this is the right guy, he looks like a alcoholic” says a younger girl voice coming from his right side and probably the hand that’s poking him

“Yes, I’m sure this is the right guy he was in the magic house and he has the trench-coat” replied a boy around the same age as the girl and coming from his left side

That’s when John opens his eyes and are met with the faces of two pre-teens

Danny (With de-aged Dani and Dan who have been renamed Dawn and Dusk for plot purposes) had to dip from his home dimension but not the reasons you may think so

Vlad was being his usual asshole self and with Maddie shutting down any and all attempts at getting a date (I HC that he’s obsession is family because he was left alone in the hospital with a secondary obsession on control because he couldn’t do anything about he’s condition or help himself, but it’s still not a excuse to be a creep) so he was holding on by a thread at this point now to get off topic of this for a sec

Meanwhile Dani~Dawn and Dan~Dusk had to de-aged and Danny was taking care of them with a little bit of help from his parents when remembered they have children (Somewhat good Fenton parents! That’s rare in this Fandom) and a very busy Jazz has she is dealing with college stuff and everything is chill

Until Vlad’s obsession starts to change from dating Maddie and keeping Danny as his son to just keeping Danny but in the way Ra and Slade are and of course Danny is creeped TF out and starts to get ready to dip and somehow this gets back to Vlad and that’s what makes him go off the deep end and he starts to go after Danny

And in the fight to leave Jazz, The Fentons, Sam, Tucker all get got by Vlad and Danny gets injured but he is able to go through the portal and destroy it from his side with Dawn and Dusk with him

And they end up in Danny’s Lair and this leads us to now

So Batman sees Phantom hanging out with his Rogues (trying to get Poison Ivy's fertilizer recipe for Sam, trying to figure out how to best introduce Scarecrow to real fear the nightmare dimension Fright Knight, trying to get Two-Face in therapy for his proto-core issue (yeesh, Danny thought his initial core issues were bad)) and it goes down like this:

Batman: What are your intentions with Gotham's Rogues?

Danny, thinking he means the rampant numbers of super traumatized ghosts who have yet to figure out unlife: I want to help them, dude? Living with mental health issues sucks.

Batman could either hear the 'help them' part and get suuuuper paranoid, or the 'mental health' part and go "ah, another person who believes in redemption. Most helpful."

Also, he might imply Danny is a Rogue, and Danny gets all offended like:

Danny: Excuse you, I'm a perfectly healthy ghost! I have a Haunt and everything! Sure, the Gotham smog sucks for a space obsession, but I'm hardly a rogue ghost!

Lucifer learned about you when he was in the cage with Sam. You being one of the boys girlfriend gave him the ability to learn about you. And eventually fall in love

He has escaped multiple times just to take you.

But Team Free Will always kicks his ass.

Lucifer is a cocky, possessive and angry Yandere.

He will punish you physically and mentally but he prefers to do it mentally for whatever his reasons.

Lucifer is trying to help train you to show your 'love' for him with punishments and rewards.

If you're curious your rewards tend to be a hell of a lot more affections from Luci or your silly little human things you miss.

He at first hated you, you, a stupid putrid human, made him fall for you. You made the king of hell for for you!

So he takes his anger out on whoever is in the cage with him. Untill he escapes again and has a master plan to take over heaven. And take you as well.

But it falls, so why not destroy the world instead, and maybe his little human will sacrifice herself to him.

And you do, much to everyone's dismay. But its worth saving the world right?

So now here you are, trapped in hell with Lucifer. He loves it.

Michael first heard of once he chose Adam to be your vessel. Adam has had a major (kinda scary) crush on you ever since he met you all those years ago with his brothers. And he kept tabs on you.

When Michael figured out that he should just use Adam instead he learned anything that would be leverage to convince him to be his vessel.

And you happened to be the giant leverage.

It worked, but they were still put in the cage.

So as years went on Adam became crazy over you and Michael began to as well.

Eventually once they got out it was time to take you.

So they did.

Now they will be forceful and more physical than Gabriel. But its cause they love you and deserve to take the love they want from you.

"Let me go! You have no right to do this!" You screamed at Michael or Adam, whoever the hell was talking. You started to pound against the door, "Thats where you're wrong Y/N. You kicked and squirmed but he wouldn't let go, so you fought harder but all you received was a huff and thrown around a bit more. Once you two reached your destination, the bedroom, Michael quickly tossed you on the bed, climbing on top of you. He snatched your wrists in his hand then immediately cuffed them to the bed. After you realized what had just happened you start to panic and freeze in place. "I think we deserve something for dealing with you and your tantrum." His hands crept under your shirt, caressing your skin, "don't we Adam " You noticed his expression and presence changed, Adam was in control now. Adam lifted up your shirt and gave you a shit eating grin. "Yes, yes we do." Then you were pulled into a rough and forceful kiss. You heard a loud rip and notice Adam had ripped your shirt. This time: David’s son, Dante!

- His full name is Dante Gabriel Shaw

- His nickname is probably smth like Danny, so Davey and Danny lol

- He looks a lot like Gabe, his eyes being closer in shade to Gabe’s than David’s, and his facial structure & hair being very similar as well. This makes David both happy and a little sad, which Dante doesn’t understand until he’s a little older and David explains everything about Gabe to him.

- David brings him and Angel to visit Gabe’s grave regularly, and they leave dahlia flowers and honeysuckles (which i stole from other ppls flower hcs sry fhksdhjs)

- He’s besties with Ashlyn (Asher’s daughter) because of course

- He has a sort of inner circle who are all his friends in the pack, so that includes Samuel Jr., Ashlyn, and Milo’s daughter

- He’s always acted like a mini alpha, protecting his friends like David does, he started mimicking David when he was 2, attempting to do speeches to the rest of the pack toddlers

- He shifted for the first time when he was 14, a week before the winter solstice, and while it was painful, he managed pretty okay. His shifted form is very similar to his dad’s (large black wolf in my hc), but with a white swirl pattern on his right flank.

- He is the most responsible in his friend group, making sure they’re all eating, they’re on time, etc. would absolutely be the guy who has all the papers and passports when they go on an international trip.

- He may act a lot like his dad, having a gruff exterior, but it’s mostly a cover, and he can be a little goofball sometimes, like his other parent (Angel)

- He loves playing minecraft, started when he was 5, and co-ops with Angel often to make cool builds

Ok now for official alpha / security company stuff that he’d do!!

- He’s David’s only kid (in this version of things) so he’s naturally expected to become Alpha

- So, he often shadows his dad to important events, as well as security gigs

- One of the major things is he accompanies his dad to Solaire-hosted events, and while his dad greets William and shakes hands with him, Dante greets Emilie (William’s daughter), and shakes hands with her.

- She enjoys messing with him, and has held him in a couple second trance to see how he reacts (like I said in her post, she’s not great with mortals), which he eventually, after a couple meetings, can reliably break out of.

- Usually at these events, he stands around with his dad mostly separated from the vampires, interacting only with those who approach them, because David is worried about him being vulnerable to attacks or trances

- Luckily for him, Samuel Jr. (Sam’s son) is a regular attendee at these events, as William invites him, Vivienne (Vincent’s daughter), and their parents. Of course, Samuel is very protective of his friends, so whenever Dante has been at risk, he’s protected him, albeit maybe too violently, but it gets his point across.

- Now I feel like it’s a good time to mention that Samuel jr and Dante are boyfriends / eventual mates!! So it adds an extra layer considering Samuel has a rightful claim to him (the magic bite thingy), mostly for the purpose of being allowed by vampire law to protect him somewhat violently 👍 (Samuel also visits Gabe’s grave independently to leave flowers, because he’s paranoid about getting permission to date and eventually propose to Dante cuz blah blah tradition even though Gabe wouldn’t care if he were alive)

- He also shadows his dad on security gigs, learning all the best ways to keep large groups safe and orderly in case of an emergency. He also gets properly trained in gun use, just in case, and does pretty alright (they train at a typical gun range after he gets the proper licenses)

- Dante eventually heads his own event security gig, and manages pretty well. He’s doing it with his group of friends, so they goof off a bit over radio, which he scolds them for, though lightheartedly

- He does experience some rough gigs, not ever quite inversion level but there was a time when a clan of vampires descended on a large event being held in a stadium that had similar levels of danger, with luckily less losses

- One day, when Dante is ~25, David gets pretty sick, though is not in any danger, simply is somewhat immobilized and can’t perform his usual duties. Asher takes over, as a beta typically does, but starts trying to convince Dante to take over as alpha, which has been a previous conversation before, especially between Dante and David, but Asher is now making it a bit more urgent, and Dante is resistant to the idea.

- Dante says something along the lines of David not being dead, just sick, so he doesn’t need to take over yet, since he’s scared of taking over so soon. Asher flinches at that, and things become awkward. He eventually apologizes, but Asher insists it’s okay.

- Dante takes some convincing, but eventually decides to step up and take over, after David promises to support him in learning his duties.

- He picks Ashlyn to be his beta, and she does a good job! His takeover of the pack goes pretty well, mostly because everyone was expecting it anyways. David recovers fully, and helps him keep everything orderly, and keeps being in charge of the security company for a few more years before signing that over to him as well.

okay, hear me out in s6 i feel like Grian would have a huge addiction to sh (due to past yhs/kov and probably family stuff that hasnt been resolved) and he would do it anywhere he could find privacy and time, sometimes he'd just let the blood drip off and dry because he was so desperate for the pain and harm, he did it alot around mumbo's place alot simply because he liked being around mumbo, and blood blends in with redstone (imo) and thats where we transition(🏳️‍⚧️/j) to mumbo, he has always had an odd fascination with blood imo. also mumbo has awful self asteem thinks he is shitty all the time and thinks hes dumb if he fails even 1 thing (was deff pressured as a child+labled gifted and got burnt out), he also deff has seen some stuff on the internet and thats how he heard of self harm, over the time it became a thing that he did more often, definitely not as much as Grian though, But mumbo always kept a stainless steel razor blade in one of his pockets if he ever needed it. One day Grian was cutting himself in a more risky area late at night (11pm-1am)and mumbo caught him (in Sahara's redstone area maybe? idk) grian was cutting with a super shitty blade but he still managed to get good results. mumbo noticing the shitty blade walks up to grian and this scares the SHIT out of grian bc hes been caught by not so nice ppl b4, he thinks hes about to get yelled at or something but instead mumbo pulls a new blade out of his pocket and gives it to grian says something like "use this instead, i dont want you to get tetanus or something" bc i feel like hes a bitch abt being healthy in that way/lh(paranoid) grian took the blade thankfully but also shocked bc like mumbo jumbo? self harm? thats kinda gay😕/j (im a fag dw) also mumbo was also wearing short sleve so his cuts and scars were showing too (he took off his hoodie(its night hes not wearing his suit) to show grian "hey same dude"). Grian unwrapped the blade and asked he he could continue, MJ said yes and pulled out his own blade and joined grian.

HCs for this: Grian usualy does bean cuts and Mumbo does a bunchh of styros / cat scratches, he's done bean b4 but it made him almost pass out. Grian was deff Scene once and showed off his scars. Grian and Mumbo get high together all the time (and maybe a little toutchy 🤭🤭🤭).

this is so big brain, and so extensive I don't feel like I'd be able to add anything substantial to it, but I'd like to say that I just love the image of Mumbo always carrying one or two new, fresh razors on the pocket of his suit. Something about it, about not really feeling ashamed of cutting but still having them hidden under the sleeves of his pristine suit. I also think of him having a strange fixation with everything red. Beth Washington

She likes instruments and can play quite a few different ones. (I feel like I saw a hc somewhere abt her playing guitar? It stuck with me).

She also plays some sports, but not as much as Hannah.

She was actually quite popular in school (based off her relationship stat with Jess being reasonably high).

She's lesbian.

Her 'role' in the group very much seems to be sort of like Sam's in that she's often trying to prevent trouble.

She's constantly looking out for her siblings, especially when they're in a big social situation like a party.

She wears beanies everywhere. Emotional support beanies.

Has a crush on Sam.

She's usually quite laid-back, but when she gets annoyed she's immediately furious. 0-100 real quick.

Hannah Washington

She likes insects a lot. Especially butterflies.

She can and will pick up spiders in her hands she literally does not fear any kind of bug or creepy crawlies.

She's quite artsy.

She's quite strong bc of all the sports she does. She, Sam and Matt often enough end up in weird little competitions and go on runs/hikes etc.

She was sort of the weird kid in most her classes, but wasn't often made fun of because of the people she was friends with and her siblings.

She's generally always a little caught up in her own daydreams.

She's trans.

She's neurodivergent. Idk what specifically but she is nd to me.

She's bi but it would take her forever to realise that.

As Beth describes her, she's often quite 'naive' and if it weren't for Sam, Beth and Josh she'd likely be the target of many jokes, some more harmless than others.

He's very into art and drama, especially horror of course.

He hangs out with Ashley and she helps him write scripts, while he draws things from her writing for her.

Despite this he is very jumpy and easily scared.

Because their parents are often super busy he very much took on the whole big-sibling caretaker role.

He's popular despite being really quiet and somewhat anti-social. He's the kind of guy who disappears off of any social media for weeks and is very difficult to get into contact with.

He likes playing pranks and jokes, but only when they're somewhat thought out. Like he isn't just going to jump out from behind a door and yell it's gotta be way more interesting.

He's trans (I don't have a specific hc for him I stick to I just know he's very genderfucky).

He's queer.

He hates Hannah's bugs and complains all the time about them but he'd never actually do anything to hurt them or upset Hannah.

He's quite pessimistic, sort of the opposite of Hannah. He's very paranoid of others and their intentions, and he often isolates himself because of that. This has a lot to do with his mental health though, he doesn't actually like being alone.

Sorry for the delay I caught a bad headache yesterday

- Honey was def either valedictorian or salutatorian of their grade in high school

- IF they were salutatorian, they're still pissy about "losing" to someone else

- Sweetheart was cocky in their early years of working for the department

- Similar to Damien trying to break the stereotype that "All fire elementals are hot-headed", Sweetheart is trying to break the stereotype that "All stealths are thieves"

- Honey walks fast and WILL step on the back of someone's shoes if they're walking too slow

- Sweetheart legally cannot own a gun

- They're not allowed near any either

- Honey's lips are damn near always pressed against each other, like they're constantly frowning

- Sweetheart only ever dressed as a ghost for Halloween as a kid, and they dressed as one again the same year they started dating Milo. Milo learned about their plan and decided to dress as one of the ghostbusters from the movie. 

- They did plan on scaring the shit out of him dressed as a ghost, but they saw him wearing his costume and couldn't help but cover their face fully before he caught them blushing (he caught it regardless)

- Honey only fell asleep in class or lectures during testing season since that was when they began studying hours into the night with little to no rest

- When they met Guy this came to a stop, he made sure they'd end their study sessions early and go to bed on time, even if he'd stay up all night playing video games and being hypocritical

- During the Sam and Quinn video, Sweetheart walked out of the room when Quinn was airing out all of Tank's past. They've heard much worse stuff, but knew the stuff Quinn was saying wasn't something anyone in the room should be hearing. That was Tank's personal past, nothing of their business.

- Honey doesn't exactly mean to be rude to people, they're just…very off-putting by accident.

- And then it makes them upset when people don't want to talk to them because of it, since they want to have people to talk to.

- This one is gonna be hard to explain wait

- When Sweetheart goes intangible, majority of the germs on their body fall off.

- Due to this, they rarely get sick, and only get sick if they don't go intangible at least once for an extended period of time.

- But when they get sick, they get sick.

- I'm talking snot flying, can barely move a muscle, mucus erupts from each cough, sick.

- Basically they have a shit immune system.

- Honey on the other hand? Can not STAND being sick. Heavy germaphobe I'm telling you.

- I spoke about this with a friend before and we agree, Honey used to absolutely refuse to leave a room if it meant getting someone else sick, or getting sick themselves.

- This fear was at an all time high back in high school, I'm talking hazmat suits, gloves, masks, that shit.

- And in their earlier years of college, when COVID hit (2019), this shit was reinforced so much.

- It's calmed down since they got with Guy, and they've begun to even take care of him when he gets sick. Of course they still find it disgusting but they hate seeing him all weak and exhausted.

- Sweetheart can float slightly.

- Honey hates sweet things, it makes their face scrunch up as if it's sour.

- Sweetheart is ADDICTED to caffeine. It makes them anxious and paranoid but they keep drinking it like it's a lifeline.

- Honey goes to the beach to tan. No matter what, they REFUSE to get in the water. Whether it's to protect their hair or a past incident, Guy doesn't know. And it sucks because Guy loves swimming at the beach. 

- Although if Honey did ever get in the water, he'd dunk them so many times and it'll lead to Honey either getting out of the water, or them trying to actually drown him.

- Sweetheart doesn't style or fix their hair. What they wake up with is what they spend the day in.

- Honey's smile is always uneven. Mainly because it's them trying to not smile but their body betrays them.

- Honey snorts and Guy finds it absolutely adorable.

- Shortly after Milo told Sweetheart that Aggro refuses to go on walks, they tried taking him on one to call Milo's bluff. It went terribly.

- Honey searched up "how to make friends" online once, and one of the tips said "maintain eye contact." This led to them glaring at people talking to them until said person backs away in fear. It always leaves Honey confused when it doesn't work.

-Sweetheart has horrible posture.

- Honey was a BEAST at volleyball back in high school and college. They don't play it as often, but they're still insanely good at it.

- Honey and Cutie have the same group of friends.(But Honey is fairly new to the group)

- Sweetheart bites their ice cream, much to Milo's dismay.

- Despite popular belief, Honey isn't a big fan of honey. It's too sweet for them, but they'll put it in food when necessary.

- Sweetheart and Milo are either barely different in height, or are the same height. Either way they still tease the fuck out of him because of his height.

She is super depressed about the fact she ‘died’ on her birthday. But whenever that day comes around, her friends and family’ll cheer her up!

She doesn’t like Jeff…Why? Nobody really knows. Most pastas just think it’s cause Jeff is a dickhead and likes annoying people.

She knows Candy Pop, Cause the guy’ll usually just hang out around the kids a lot because they lure in free prey (Dumbass adults.).

any thoughts headcanons 4 sam n dogen sibling relationship dynamics i jus lovlove them

YEAS.... (also like 6 months later dskfksa sorryyyy) I have a few regarding what it was like for them growing up now that I made hcs for their parents.

Let me preface this with my Dogen lore. I thinkkk that the reason why Dogen is the way he is (so paranoid about his powers) is a result of how he was raised. Mallory and Geffrey were actually really chill parents until the Incident... (Dogen exploded the head of a housekeeper when he was just a baby and they cover it up and he isn't allowed to know but they have to make sure it doesn't happen again. so naturally they are very very frightened of that and it makes him kind of freaked out all the time having everyone making sure his little hardboiled egg head is all foiled up at all costs.)

ANYWAYS......... since Geffrey had a job in hotel management and Mallory worked housekeeping in them, they all moved around quite a bit. They sort of just lived in the hotels growing up. For around the first 6 years of her life, Sam was a weird little hotel gremlin, just wandering the halls, getting in to people's rooms, eating the complimentary soaps. Then Dogen came along and despite everything, Sam was never really scared of him. She even was the only witness to the incident when he was still a baby. That's why she's kind of got that haunted look in her eyes all the time. She kind of thought it was cool.

So once Dogen got a little older, the two became hotel gremlins together. Sam liked to pick him up like a purse and just carry him around because he was amoeba-sized. It would freak out their parents, who were kind of afraid of shaking him around, lest they got exploded... Sam and Dogen love playing tag and hide-and-go-seek in the halls, and they're the type of siblings who basically have their own language of weird jokes and games they play. I think once Sam became aware of her own psychic powers, she realized that a lot of their communication had been amplified by telepathy this whole time.

Early game/kinda set-up stuff: Scar talks to Grian being like "hey man. You seem stressed and territorial, you good? Oh. Oh you have a refugee, okay cool. Can I give him cookies?"

Taurtis and Pearl are besties bc I say so. Pearl's favorite past time with him is picking his brain for stuff that he's seen but she hasn't before, and they bond over liking weird alien stuff. She shows him her collection and 1.18 update investigation room.

Scar "you can't keep him in your house forever, G."

Gri "And why not!"

Scar "He's a person! How would you feel if you were holed up in someone's house and not allowed to leave?"

Gri "Shut up." (Cause, yknow, Sam locked him in the basement for three days that one time)

(Taurtis wouldn't actually be unallowed to leave, Grian would just be wary and anxious and paranoid about it)

Late night bed talks. One being where Taurtis asks "Grian, am I funny?" and G goes "Yeah, you're really funny. What, did you make a lame dad joke today?" And Taurtis pauses a bit before rolling onto his side, facing away and responding "Oh yeah, it was a super lame joke." And Grian kinda catches on that, hey this is weird behavior for Taurtis, and decides to confront him about it, hence these lines:

T "What, am I just comedic relief to you? Is that still all I am?"

G "You've always been more than just a joke, don't say that."

Mid-game: Scar's "Hey man you're a bit off" turns to "dude you're extremely bad right now. You need to relax. It's okay. Chill pill, my dude." And Grian is a stubborn bitch that keeps pushing his help away, so Scar tries to get Taurtis to help him with Grian.

Winter hits and Grian spends most of his days sleeping due to instincts, or something, idk it's an excuse to make him sleep and have Taurtis be crazy amounts of domestic with him. Taurtis "accidentally" makes too much breakfast to finish on his own so he wakes up Grian to share it with him. (He called Scar to see if he'd want it, not wanting to wake Grian, but Scar told him it'd be good for the pesky bird to have a meal before sleeping more)

Grian starts seeing shit due to his stress and the fact that the watchers have been following Taurtis this whole time without him realizing up to a certain point. Inspired by me seeing the foggy moon and going "huh that looks like a watcher eye." Thank you, Grian introject moment, pogchamp.

Xisuma starts asking people during casual chats if they've noticed anything different about the server. When he asks Grian, G lies and says he hasn't when he knows the watchers have found a way to get to Hermitcraft too, not wanting to expose himself and risk being looked into deeper from before joining HC. They know him and Pearl were in a server before, but not that it was a server full of watchers and eventual destruction. This causes Grian to get more stressed, develop worse insomnia, and try and figure out a way to send Taurtis home faster. He tries to ignore the inner misery and prioritize the safety of everyone else, but internally struggles with reassuring himself that Taurtis will even be safe after leaving.

Grian starts using his watcher powers when alone to influence the others to do things, just to show the other watchers that he's doing his job and they don't have to stay. They aren't convinced until him and two other watchers have a direct confrontation, in watcher forms rather than their human-esque forms, maybe spend a whole chapter showing their conversation before Xisuma locates where they are due to the heightened levels of their presence, confronting Grian now about what he was thinking and why all of this is happening.

Grian finds out that the other watchers lurking over the server managed to gain enough control to start forming an evo portal, finding it half finished and deciding to use his own control to make "clues". The clues are fake and only there to steer Taurtis away from the portal, but the other watchers change what Grian's clues say to lead him towards it no matter what. Taurtis sees the portal behind an evo symbol and gets mad at Grian, thinking he's tying to send him back to evo to be alone like he was before. (I didn't watch evo, just wanted to find a way to make it appear like Grian abandoned him from Taurtis's perspective.) Grian tries explaining himself, but Taurtis is done listening.

Taurtis starts showing more obvious signs that his sense of confusion from the down under has caused occasional confusion to places he's in, even if he's been there long term. Just a lil, lil somethin, y'know?

Grian's psychotic (literally) and Taurtis is autistic. Not mid game but just had to put that out there.

Long game/end game: (omg just like avenger's end game- shut up. No. Stop.)

There's a sort of banquet to celebrate the ending of season nine as they progress into season ten.

Taurtis has to face the truth that he's never wanted to leave in the first place. He had to accept that fact mid game, but here he has to say it outright to Grian who's absorbed himself into figuring out every nook and cranny and function of that portal, so much that the skulk and purple has grown more on him.

The purple area spreads more on his right arm since that's the one he stick into the rift after activating the portal again. Something that's noticed overtime as he continues experimenting on and interacting with the rift and the area it was at in general.

-----Additional Notes/How Watcher presence affects players-----

A large amount of Watcher presence will cause listeners and the watched to feel paranoid, sick or uneasy. The more watching them, the worse the effects are. This is how Grian connects the rift's sudden behavior change to the watchers, Mumbo pointing out how he's felt the past few days one night while researching and experimenting on the portal with him.

And then this all was going to lead up to an additional fic to the series where they'd have to do a life series to satisfy the Watchers's need for violence, but the watchers found a way to strike a deal with Sam to make things more interesting, and Grian and Sam end up being soulbound for it with Grian barely winning by killing Sam in the end after everyone else has died out.

Similar to Double Life, but would have more stakes and need for staying close to soulmates as well as different effects and changes to players with the loss of lives and distance between soulmates.

Vesper is absolutely spoiled by VM - they get better with it as time goes on [the Trickfoots have their own kids, and the rest have their responsibilities really settle in, and Vex and Percy learn that maybe spoiling a kid rotten isn't the best way to go] but this kid gets everything. Partially because she's the first baby and SO cute... partially because Vax just died and Vex is A Mess so they're all rallying to defeat this for her, for themselves, and it's very healing to make a lil baby smile and laugh.

Scanlan actually isn't the best at lullabies - the kids turn to Pike's huskier and softer voice at bedtime. Which Scanlan is Very Dramatic About, but he has the best songs for games and chores and good times and such. But Pike lulls them right to sleep, and also offers up sea shanties when they're working on chores as a family that require a rhythm.

Sorry, but you know Willhand'ildan absolutely fucking hates his name. He and Vax'ildan (Dan) bond over not really... knowing how to deal with being named after dead people, especially the same guy their parents feel guilty about not being able to save. So Dan and Wills actually end up being very close friends, and I HC they're fairly close friends too. I HC Dan as becoming a Druid in Zephrah, and if so he and Wills either send letters regularly or Wills works as a Tempest Blade there too (shhh hes FINE hes FINE he comes out COMPLETELY UNSCATHED SHHH).

Juniper's feelings are less complicated, because Scanlan had a lot more time to come to terms with his mother's death, and her name is a lot more common / namesake less well known so people don't immediately bug her about it. She feels really touched she has this connection to this woman only her dad knew.

Not v relevant but imagine an AU where Tary and Lawrence adopt a lil Fjord. (They both settle down in Port Damali, which is where Lawrence was living, and where Fjord grew up!) Consider Fjord with gay dads who absolutely trounce on standard ideas of masculinity from the word go, and also are prolific authors. Jester would get absolutely fucking starry-eyed when he tells her lmao

I was reading Heat again and I know you call it unrepentant breeding kink but some of the things that are mentioned about Daniel and Terry make me want to know what the first stages of their courtship were like.

Why did Terry and Daniel keep their relationship + Sam out of the public eye? Had Daniel tried to resist Terry's charms? Was it simply privacy? Why did they wait until Robbie (other than to show off how fertile Daniel was.) I'd love to know what some of the crazy headlines said about their wedding. About having Sam out of wedlock, etc.

I want the drama and the gossip. Lol.

Also, I am very curious about what would happen in a sequel to I Will Be The One where Daniel slowly regains his memories,and he's heart broken, but he can't stop loving the version of Terry he's come to know.

I crave dysfunction.

Sorry for the super late reply - I was trying to come up with a decent answer because I don’t really have a backstory - and to be honest - usually don’t for most of my stuff - it’s wide open (like Daniel 😈) for you to insert your own HC within the context of the story if you so desire but I would imagine Daniel was behind it.

Maybe he was paranoid about Sam’s safety - maybe he wanted his new little family to be just for him and them and not have the outside world intrude.

The press were so obsessed with Terry and Daniel when it was rumoured they were dating and he doesn’t want that for his daughter / not for the first few years of her life anyway.

It’s like a celebrities who keep their marriage secret and even their children - for as long as possible.

There’s Daniel’s age and Terry is a sought after Alpha and the omegas are like petty debutantes - there is a lot of infighting and they’re all jealous of Daniel - who is not only unfairly pretty but a rare male omega who bagged THE Terry Silver - years and years of of omegas throwing themselves at him - acting as society deems they should and Terry mates THAT omega instead - who doesn’t even act like a proper omega of their circle should.

Not that anyone is dumb enough to say that while Terry is around but they’ll circle Daniel like vultures - although someone was dumb enough to make a comment about Sam being born out of wedlock AND how unfortunate it is that she has an omega parent who doesn’t how to behave - implies that Daniel and this Sam are lesser than because of it - and Daniel was livid but also hurt - and if there is one thing Terry hates more than anything is an upset mate not will he entrain the idea that his mate and daughter are less than absolutely perfect (he picked Daniel after all and put Sam inside him).

Besides, Terry is a prime Aloha and if it’s good enough for him (more than good enough he purrs to his omega later that night balls deep, his little omega gauging bloody rivers into his back panting in his ear for it) than it’s good enough for everyone else - besides these are lesser alphas that just don’t know how to handle such an exceptional creature as Terry’s mate.

So as much as he wants to show the world who Daniel belongs to - and he does when the time comes - he also only wants to subject Daniel to this new social circle when necessary - and it will give Daniel time to get used to his new life, and for Terry to try to polish out a bit of the rough edges - only because they’ll eat him alive.

Terry too likes this time away from all the bullshit of his position - to live the domestic life with Daniel - something he thought he never would have wanted.

Also, a possessiveness he has never felt overtook him when he got Daniel with child, especially when he started to show - and he had to grapple with the urge to hide him away for his eyes only - barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen type situation - and Terry too had to grapple with the fear he felt about Daniel’s safety.

Besides, the rumors are all over the place / sometimes the press paint Terry in a less than favourable light - the age difference, the wealth difference, getting an omega so young pregnant.

Sometimes they paint Daniel as some gold digger who baby trapped Terry - depends on what mood the press is for which agenda they push that week.

I have to say for the amnesia fics I never once entertained the idea of Daniel regaining his memory - it was a thought that literally never crossed my mind.

But I assume it would be like that saying - when is a monster not a monster? When you love it.

Daniel would be in too deep and although the hurt would run deep and trust broken he would have to find a way to reconcile that.
