Okay, so why Tsareena?

Given it's "high-class nature," Tsareena are very particular about the moves it uses, the company it keeps, and how it uses its strength. Only the most powerful Steenee can evolve into it, so it can be protective of its less experienced forms. Tsareena are known to be graceful yet powerful while "laughing boisterously" at its opponents (ojō-sama much?).

Because of its aggressive nature, it ABSOLUTELY will punish anyone who approaches it will evil intentions. For such an elegant and poised Pokémon, it really doesn't fuck around.

Remind you of anyone?

Vil was quite taken with this queenly Pokémon from a young age and raised his Bounsweet with the intention of evolving it into a Tsareena. It's quite the opposite to Epel and Applin if you think about it.

Tsareena gives him a hard time whenever it thinks Vil isn't using it to its highest potential, so these two bounce off of each other quite well, always pushing the others' limits.

(Should I explain?

While any lion-like pokemon might have worked for Leona, especially Solgaleo which would totally be his Legendary, Hippowdon suits Leona the best. Not only do hippopotamus come from the savanna, this pokemon uses sand and it would totally match Leona's yawns and sleepy vibes. Plus they share the same colors.

For Jamil I hesitated a bunch. He fits psychic, fire and fighting types, any serpent-like pokemon also works. I hesitated a moment with Gallade, Hypnos, and Ceruledge. In the end I chose (mega) Medicham who is psychic/fighting, and is able to foresee her opponents' attacks. Plus the pokedex says she often looks like she's dancing when she avoids attacks.

And finally for Vil, while I wanted a poison type at first, I simply could not not give him a Tsareena. The VIBES! Also in french she's called Sucreine and Vil is a Reine so I stand by that choice.)

I thought I was being funny when I told myself to draw pkmn who wear some sort of boots, but then I started drawing Ceruledge, and I started crying 🤣

We're back baby! And with the long awaited PokéTWST entry for none other than Vil! This took me longer than expected but better late than never right?

I know what you're thinking: where the hell is Gardevoir? Well, I feel like that works better if Rook has a Gallade, right? So Gardevoir can wait her turn. In the meantime we got Venusaur, Tsareena, and Salazzle

Venusaur is great for helping Vil unwind after a stressful day with the help of it's flower. It's definitely saved Vil from countless untimely breakouts.

Salazzle's pheromones for attracting male Salandit also double as an ingredient for Vil's personal collection of perfumes. It's his little secret.

Why Tsareena is his partner pokémon tho, you'll just have to wait and find out!
