just spent six plus months building a portfolio for a college application and am now being told that i actually don't need to submit it 😃

my biggest goal for my dai replay is to figure out how to have quinn be better friends with/care more about solas so i get more emotional payoff in datv. i think this isn’t a very tall order but it’s an extremely funny problem to have to puzzle out. how do i make the antisocial lesbian care about the overcooked egg man

i almost certainly shouldn't revamp the current writing project into a second-person-revealed-to-be-first piece of narrative fuckery. but like. i could.

#i'm nearly 40k words in; it would be a ton of rewriting #especially since it'd probably be reframing most of it. but like.#ouagh.#here's the thing. i love second-person and i love first-person-masquerading-as-second-person #i love it when the narrator is also a character. i love it when they have agendas.#harrow the ninth is obviously one of my favorites for this sort of thing because it's phenomenally executed.#but like. broken earth was doing something interesting with it. saint of bright doors did it as a literary trick but then sort of fumbled i #and this is dealing with doom and fate and inevitability. the seduction of the imagined past. the ability to shape the future.#grief for something that has not yet come to pass; the kind of manipulation that you can do when you don't see yourself as real #but only as a vehicle for what you know will happen.#it could workkkkk
