#I have radishes and carrots rn

I think I’m finally starting to get good at taking care of myself… turns out the trick is to make like a dozen servings of white rice at the beginning of the week and just top it with various pickled veggies. And you can have sardines or egg soup for protein. Depression’s a bitch but I’m bitchier 💪

Hello ! I hope yall are doing well ! I feel great today, Husband is back home for 2 days i'm very glad because i missed him a lot!

I broke my liquid fast this morning (61 hours) with a kiwi, a few chunks of pineapple and 5 grapes, for a total of 177kcals. And I restarted a liquid fast right afterwards (I'm 3 hours in as of now)

We did the groceries this morning, I bought normal food for husband and food for myself. For myself, i bought:

500g cherry tomatoes

5 apples

4 kiwis

200g konjac noodles

3L sugarfree lemonade

1 can of tuna

250g baby carrots

200g radishes

And is all ! So that way, even if i binge, it's still low cal so it is fine. But I won't binge I think, tbh I don't binge that often. I'm more into having a small sweet treat if I feel dizzy (like a fruit for example).

I'm sipping a sugarfree energy drink rn (20kcals), if i feel hungry while today, i'll have 1 high protein yogurt (60kcals) and then live off of herbal tea hehe

Unfortunately I forgot to buy chewing gums and stevia, but it's fine, i'll handle this week without them.

making soup and thought of you. im afraid i have a question for the soup master — should i add elbow pasta to this bad boy? Thank you (for context rn it has spiced meat, carrots celery onions radish, bell pepper, and like tomato paste that i cooked in oil to get rid of the raw taste before adding)

Omg I am always pro-noodle in soup!!! I say yes, pasta only ever increases the deliciousness!!!! Plus you need the carbs to keep ur energy up!!!!

i ate a spring roll with homemade nuoc cham sauce ... i put romain lettuce, radish, half baby carrot, cucumber in it

then for 2nd meal i had a cucumber and cream cheese and raspberry belini cream cheese 1/2 each on pepperidge farm whole wheat thin bread

ate some gerber puffs earlier when i woke up and i am now drinking london fog tea with oat melk

i think i'm gonna paint some fantasy squishmallows and finally hang up a place to take depop photos in a bit

i'm in the bath rn i weighed myself i was 112..

the kittens weigh less too but i think i need to start feeding them 1/2 can more not exactly sure yet

the Soup

so the thing that feeds me for a straight week while being about 600 calories for 5 litres (depending on what you add to it) is something me and my friends are calling the Soup

now its basically a whatever-vegetables-i-have-in-my-fridge-soup so its usually cheap and easy and doesn't require much cooking knowledge

for the ingredients that i deem necessary for a good Soup (calories are approximate and rounded up, usually 10% just to be safe) :

BIG can of crushed or whole tomatoes (cals depend on brand, but i use an 800g can with 21cal each 100g)

one or two onions (about 100 cals depending on size)

chicken or beef stock (doesn't really matter which kind, i make my own, but bullion cubes work as well usually its 20 cals at most )

spices! garlic powder, paprika, white pepper, basil, whatever floats your boat (if you're using store-bought stock id lay off the salt but i generally dislike it)

a half, or hell, whole head of cabbage (at max 350 cals)

at least 2 other veggies like: carrots, green beans, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, radishes, eggplant, asparagus, pepper, even broccoli you get the gist)

how to make it?

wash, then finely chop EVERYTHING except the cabbage , that way the soup will seem more filling and youll have a bigger variety of flavor per bite (or dont im not your boss)

we'll be working with a big ass pot (mine holds 5 litres) and a pan here: you gotta saute the onions in a lubricant of your choice (i usually also add mushrooms in there so that they lose moisture) and heat up your tomatoes in the big ass pot with your seasonings

as soon as the onions done (a bit glassy and the water from the mushrooms evaporates) you mix em in with the hopefully simmering tomato "sauce" and let em sit there on low heat so that the favor grows stronger or something idk

at this point do whatever you gotta to prepare your stock and fill the pot with it and water in a 7:3 stock to water ratio

then add the other vegetables except the cabbage and bring to a boil

when its boiling add the cabbage, make sure its completely submerged and cover the pot and let it barely simmer for eh about 2 hours till everything is soft

voila sustenance for the whole week AND a healthy dish in one

as i said before its a "whatever" dish so you can genuinely put in anything and itll be good. want eggs? hell yeah boil some and put em in! hate tomatoes? hm i cant think of a good substitute rn but you can prolly make it without them! add sauces, maggi, weird spices! it literally does not matter, itll be good i promise

I just had a heartbreaking thought and I’m crying in the club rn

what if we fight for awae to be renewed for years and years despite all hope being thrown out the window, and after five it just becomes a running joke and tradition for the awae fandom to have #renewannewithane trending everywhere for twenty four hours on November 24 the day the season finale aired on CBC and we all simultaneously combusted but after ten more years of our trending tradition Moira, Miranda, and the cast post on ig with cryptic captions about carrots and pens and something starts stirring in our hearts but we joke and band together on social media once again to create more memes about being clowns for allowing ourselves to hope because maybe they’re just promoting a fifteen year anniversary dvd special edition collection of the three seasons which we all planned to buy anyway and then BOOM

Netflix and CBC and Northwood announces something along the lines of “you’ve fought the good fight, kindred spirits, and we’re excited to announce that the closure you’ve all been waiting for is coming” and it’s a short mini-series or a three-hour feature film starring the original cast and finally, after years of campaigning, years of crying, years of waiting for answers that we started to believe would never come, we get to see them again.

We get to see Anne and Gilbert and Diana and Ruby and Moody and Marilla and Jerry and Bash and Delly and all the characters we’ve kept buried in our hearts but carried with us through our different stages of life. And we see them, we see them all as grown ups or growing up. We see them with families and fulfilled dreams and ambitions.

We see our friends again, these kindred spirits of ours. We see Anne and Gilbert passionately in love with each other after all these years with their dream careers and their kids and how one of their boys reminds them so much of Matthew who we see in flashbacks before the unspeakable happened and in Anne and Marilla’s dreams we see what he would have looked like had he grown old with his sister. We see Marilla and Rachel going to town, where Marilla flirts with a bachelor her age and Rachel teases her about it. We see Delly become the top of her class with a boy who shares the same colour skin as her, and it’s different but it’s alright, things in Avonlea are changing. We see Bash and Hazel and Elijah fishing with Muriel Stacy by the Lake of Shining Waters, reminiscing the good old days. We see Prissy in charge of the Andrews business. We see Diana as an accomplished woman who had just gotten engaged to Fred, a good man who supports her career and loves her ardently as does she. We see her guiding Minnie May through the rough waters of adolescence. We see Jerry, who founded a farming business and named it after Matthew Cuthbert, the man who taught him everything he knows, sharing the story of his most unusual radish to his wife and kids. We see Anne teaching her children and her friends’ children the language of flowers. We see the end to the story, which really is only the beginning. We see our Anne with an E, for the last time, and even though it’s been years, we cry like it was just yesterday when we watched the season three finale. And we binge everything again, this time with our children and loved ones who have never seen it before, telling them before playing episode one of the first season that “dreamers change the world. watch and see.”

And as the credits of the film roll, we all take a deep breath with the comforting knowledge that our love for these kindred spirits conquered all
