Tumblr media
you’re sitting on the balcony of your shared apartment, overlooking the city of monte carlo as it’s slowly starting to wake up. the sky is a soft pink, the kind that makes you feel like the world is giving you a quiet hug. the morning is still cool, with the scent of fresh coffee mingling with the air. oscar’s sitting next to you, as he always does, his hand resting lightly on yours, caressing the soft skin. there’s a peacefulness between you, a silence that doesn’t need filling.
he’s never been one for grand gestures, despite the world of flashing cameras and roaring engines he’s a part of. you’ve both always preferred the quiet moments, the ones away from the spotlight. no one sees the way he looks at you when you’re reading, or how he listens so intently when you talk about your day. no one sees the kisses you share when he comes home after a triple header, or how you so tenderly takes care of him when he feels burdened by the intense pressure. it’s these moments you cherish, the ones that feel like they belong only to the two of you.
as the city slowly comes to life, he shifts a little, and you feel him reach into his pocket. your heart skips, but you don’t dare to hope too much, even though you’ve been together for years, sharing everything from lazy sunday mornings to the stresses of his racing season. he pulls out a small box, simple and unadorned, much like the way he lives his life off the track.
he turns to you, and for a moment, he’s just looking at you, as if trying to find the right words. when he speaks, his voice is steady, but there’s an unmistakable softness in it, a tenderness that’s only ever for you.
“you know,” he begins, “i’ve been thinking about this for a long time. it’s funny . . . i’ve driven some of the fastest cars in the world, experienced an immense amount of adrenaline, but nothing’s ever made my heart race like you do.”
he pauses, taking a deep breath, his eyes locked on yours in an eye contact that feels so safe. so familiar and right. “when we’re out there, on the track, everything is loud and chaotic, but when i’m with you, it’s like everything quiets down. it’s just . . . us. it’s just peaceful. you give me that calm, that feeling that no matter what happens, as long as i have you, i’m exactly where i’m supposed to be.”
you feel yourself tearing up, and he smiles a little, a soft, genuine smile that you know is reserved only for you. “i’ve always been a bit of a lone wolf, you know that. it’s just how i’m wired. i’ve spent so much of my life focused on racing, on training, that i didn’t really think i had space for anything else. but then you came along, and suddenly, everything else just fell into place. you made me realize there’s more to life than just the next race, the next victory. you gave me something to come home to, something to look forward to beyond the track.”
his hand tightens a little on yours, as if grounding himself in this moment. “i know i’m not always the best at saying how i feel, and i’m definitely not good at big romantic gestures, but you’ve always seen me for who i am, even when the rest of the world just sees the driver, the competitor. you see the real me, and you still choose to love me, and that’s something i’ll never take for granted.”
he opens the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring that’s just like you would dream of. it’s not flashy or oversized, just perfect, like he somehow reached into your mind and pulled out exactly what you would have chosen.
“i didn’t want anything big or showy because i know that’s not you. and thats not me either.” he continues, his voice a little softer now. “but i want you to know that i’m sure, more sure than i’ve ever been about anything. i want to spend the rest of my life with you, in these quiet moments, in this perfect calm that we’ve built. i want us to keep building this life together, one day at a time.”
he takes another deep breath, his voice growing more tender as if he wants to say it just right. “you’ve been my best friend, my confidante, my anchor in a world that’s always spinning too fast. when everything else feels out of control, when everything becomes too much, you’re the one thing that keeps me grounded. you’ve been with me through the highs and lows, the victories and the defeats, and you’ve loved me through all of it. i can’t imagine my life without you in it.”
he swallows, his eyes never leaving yours. “i want to wake up with you every morning and fall asleep with you every night. i want to share all the quiet moments, the simple joys, and even the struggles, because i know that with you by my side, i can handle anything. you’ve made me a better person, a better man, and i want to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you’ve made me.”
his eyes search yours, vulnerable in a way that makes your heart ache with how much you love him. “will you marry me?” he asks, and you can hear the slight tremor of nerves beneath his steady tone.
there’s no hesitation in your heart. this is right, this is everything you’ve ever wanted, wrapped up in this quiet, perfect moment. tears are springing in your eyes as you nod, your voice catching in your throat as you whisper, “yes.”
he slips the ring onto your finger, and it fits perfectly, like it was always meant to be there. he leans in and kisses you, soft and sweet, the world around you fading away. it’s just the two of you, as it’s always been, and as you want it to always be.
you rest your head on his shoulder, your hands intertwined, the ring catching the morning light. the city continues to wake up around you, but it feels like time has slowed down, just for you two. there’s no need for words. everything you need to say is in the way you hold each other, in the peaceful quiet that wraps around you both.
this is your moment, perfectly private and beautifully simple, just like the life you’ve built together.

I love your creepypasta au and designs and lore. Do you have anything for Nina the killer, Jane the killer and clockwork?
Sure! Sorry for the late response! had school n' stuff, and I had to reread the old original stories of some of the creepypastas and catch up on any newer additions since this is (technically) my first run in the fandom.
Anyways! Here's my take on the girls! Hope these are alright! This was like- my first time reading Jane and Nina's and my 2nd time since I was 12 reading Clockwork's ekdjske
Nina the Killer
Tumblr media
Growing up with a love for horror, Nina Dagon was a young girl isolated from her fellow peers from a young age, with no one else but her brother and mother to confide in. As she grew, so did her love for the macabre, and that love soon grew into an avid interest in True crime. There, at a young, impressionable age where she's at her most isolated and vulnerable, was when she found the man who would change the course of her life, whether he knew or wanted to, or not.
Out of the Creepypastas I've drawn so far (as of Sept. 2024), she's the youngest adult at 25-ish! (Though this may be subject to change as with the actual ages of other characters ://)
Bilingual! Spanish is her first language, English is her second. She's not the best at it, but she's trying.
Grew up with unrestricted Internet access lmao. This... severely impacted her development and how she acted around people at a young age, and a small part of that influence is still present in her childish demeanor as an adult.
Found out about the death of Mr. And Mrs. Woods, alongside the murder of three other kids in the family's suburbian town following their deaths and the burning of their home, through true crime channels.
That is also how she found out about Jeff and related a little too much to his background (her blorbo from her shows).
Jeff's copycat killer, down to his iconic smile, (though hers is a lot thinner and cleaner than Jeff's). They say that imitation the highest form of flattery.
She gets a chainsaw. I think it looks cool :))
Learned exclusively through true crime. Though she's less graceful or experienced than Jeff, she still managed to keep the police off of her, especially when the first of her bullies had gone missing.
Follows Jeff's murders closely. Wherever he strikes, she strikes soon after.
Jane the Killer
Tumblr media
While the fires of his own grief and rage still burned bright, Jane E. Arkensaw was a woman that came home at the wrong time. Despite the risk of death as she stands before someone who's hands were stained with the blood of many- including her own parents- Jane fought with adrenaline and anger coursing through her veins like a drug.
The rest of the night was a blur. All Jane remembers as she looks up at the golden silhouette of her burning home amidst the dark backdrop of the evening was that disgusting, Glasgow smile and the fact that within the chaos, she had managed to hurt him.
Jane was scarred worse than Jeff was if comparing their burns. This was because amidst the fire, Jane stayed in a vain attempt to save her dying parents.
As she stands outside, injured, confused and alone as the weight of exhaustion slowly settles in, she wonders why exactly Jeffery "Jeff the Killer" Woods dragged her out of that house before she could die in that fire.
Jane's father used to be in the military, so she learned a thing or two from him in terms of holding one's own in a fight.
Stole the mask she now wears from a Halloween sale at some nearby store during October. A lot of the things she wears has also been either stolen or bought at cheap from thrift shops.
She a lesbian :))
Hasn't and will never kill anyone. Her main target is Jeff.
Despite that, due to her inexperience and Jeff's tendency to escape without a trace, she's sometimes caught in the scene of his crimes instead, leading her to be indirectly framed when she had first decided to hunt around for the white-hooded killer. She's gotten better now though.
Has a complex relationship with Jeff. Despite her seething hatred for him and his apparent distaste in turn, the killer had helped her escape the cops on several occassions, even feeding her during her earlier days.
Still, she won't and will never forgive him, and she dare not try to make sense of the mind of a literal serial killer.
She was an avid enjoyer of the occult and the supernatural before the incident. She still is now, though she's often busied with other priorities.
Clockwork
Tumblr media
Having been raised in a broken family and knowing nothing but pain for most of her life, Natalie Ouelette, even at a young age, felt as if both time and space were working against her, puppeteering her life to entertain whatever twisted Gods were watching over humanity. As the years went on, the line between pain and the mundane- even enjoyable- had began to blur, which is reflected in her art during her younger years which she had used to cope. After a series of continuously concerning events, leading to her hospitalisation at a mental institution, Natalie "Clockwork" Oulette escaped, leaving a trail of blood in her wake, including her so called "family".
Practically homeless (like most of my interpretation of the creepypastas are tbh) and had never changed out of the scrubs she had to wear during her stay at the mental institution.
The mutilation and replacement of her eye was a desperate attempt to regain some control of her life, and in the end, she felt like she had
Often confuses physical pain with other sensations.
Doesn't like being touched. Even with injuries where it would prove easier with someone's help, she'd much rather do it herself, leaving some injuries to heal for far longer and scar worse.
Her jacket was one of the few things she brought along with her after she had ransacked her family home.
Usually targets families, especially its older members. She then stays in the family home for a short moment before she moves on.

Rain, he wanted it comfortable I wanted that pain. He wanted a bride I was making my own name.Chasing that fame. He stayed the same. All of me changed like midnight.
As you stepped off the stage of the last show of your sold-out stadium tour, the adrenaline rush pulsed through your veins. Happy tears threatened to fall down your cheeks. You have been working your ass off these past four years.
Four Years.
It has been four years since your career took off and hasn’t stopped—four years since your single went number one for thirty-six weeks straight on Billboard 100. Four years since you last saw Eddie. The way you'd left things haunts you to this day.
The first year after the breakup was the hardest. You were nothing but a shell of yourself; you put on a front with everyone. If you let yourself think about Eddie, you wouldn’t have been able to climb out of the hole you had dug yourself out of. You couldn’t muster up the motivation to do anything for yourself when alone. You worked and went home to sleep, wake up and repeat, like a machine.
You stopped going to events you didn’t need to be at. You punish yourself by not allowing yourself to have any fun. You felt like you didn’t deserve it.
You had lost a lot of weight that year, unable to keep anything down. Your body was in severe malnutrition, and your doctor was worried. You were prescribed some medication to help stabilize your moods. You blamed it on stress, that the job was the problem, brushing it off like you would get over it eventually, or at least that is what you told yourself. That was your life the year you and Eddie broke up.
Eventually, as the years went on, you found better ways to cope with the loss of Eddie and Violet Rose in your life. Slowly, you started dating again about a year later, but everything was different from what you experienced with Eddie. You didn’t have that spark you felt with Eddie. But was that real? Or was it all built up?
Seeing Eddie back in the limelight as a single man broke your heart, and seeing him taking out different girls was so painful it made you physically sick. You first saw him out with another woman only two months after you ended things… Did he even really love you? You'd convinced yourself that Eddie must have been caught up with everything that he only thought he was in love with you? And now that you were out of the picture, he realized that it was just lust, nothing more... because how did it only take two months until he was out with another woman?
The hardest part about this was avoiding him at all the award shows and parties. Your worlds were intertwined, your label was the same, your career had taken off after the breakup, and you were invited to more Hollywood events. It was difficult when you knew he was in the room with you, especially with another girl by his side.
You were still so desperately in love with him after all this time…
It was never the same girl; he was back to his old ways, sleeping around with anyone who got the chance. But luckily, you never ran into him because the second you got word he was there, you were gone, making your last memory of him when he walked out of the door in Italy. You had shattered his heart. Broke it into a million pieces, or so you thought. He told you he was in love with you, and you couldn’t say it back. Year after year, things started to get easier; once the tabloids got bored about the breakup and Eddie was seen with different women, the focus was no longer on you. You had thrown yourself into your songs.
Your songs became #1 hits less than a week after each release. You had been that good, a bit too good. Your work was the only thing you let yourself focus on. Everything had to be great, or all of this would have been for nothing. The more writing you did, the more focused you were on your music and the less time you had to think about Eddie. That was the whole point of the breakup, right? Because you used Eddie only to help your career…

Life for Eddie Munson over the past four years had been the worst of his entire life, and he once had been addicted to coke. He did not expect his early forties would be so…depressing. When you had ended things with him, he never felt that kind of earth-shattering heartbreak before, not when his second try at passing his senior year didn’t pan out, not when Sarafina left him alone with their baby, and not when his parents abandoned him.
He was too stubborn to grovel; you had told him that you clearly were just doing this for yourself. He had let his emotions get in the way; it was all his fault. He saw that now. He knew that you loved him back, but he was scorned. He wouldn’t be the one to reach out. The story was out; nothing more could be done. He didn’t have the heart to give up the ring he had bought for you. Night after night, Eddie would sit up and stare at it. He hugged your pillow because your scent lingered in the room until one day, it was gone.
One morning, a few weeks after the breakup, Eddie was awakened to the sweet smell of vanilla and cinnamon wafting through the house; for a split second, he thought you had returned to him. He ran downstairs looking for you, but reality hit like a brick when he followed the scent to the kitchen to see Vi had ordered Cinnabon to the house. She offered him his share, thinking it would cheer him up, but it had only made Eddie nauseous. He could no longer stomach the sweet smell that reminded him of you.
Longing for you to be by his side, he cried night after night, hating himself for feeling so pathetic and unwanted. That’s how his whole life was; he should have known better. His parents didn’t want him, and the mother of his child didn’t want him, so what would make you any different?
Your breakup not only affected Eddie’s life but also Violet Rose’s. Scorned by how you never even said goodbye, she was hurt. She begged Eddie to let her talk to you, but Eddie refused to speak your name. Your music no longer brought her joy; only waves of sadness washed over her when she heard you on the radio. She couldn’t escape; you haunted her just as much as you haunted Eddie.
Violet Rose felt the change in her father when he got back from his vacation in Italy. She was so excited to see him; she missed the both of you profoundly, but when she greeted her dad when he returned, she could sense something was off. When she went to let off her hug, and he didn't, she knew. She could feel how tense he was, how tightly he held onto her. The way he almost let a tear slip and the sniffle he made in her ear gave it away. He hadn't reacted like this when he was away from her for months on tour the year prior. When he finally let go of her, she needn't ask. She knew his eyes were bloodshot and swollen; he wasn't bubbly and didn't hum anymore. She knew her father's heart wasn't the same.
The older Vi got, the more she resented her father for not ever letting her know who her birth mother was. On top of that, she wasn’t allowed to talk about you. She didn’t understand why because Eddie never explained what happened. All she knew was that before he left for Italy, he had asked her if it would be okay if you were to be in their lives permanently. He showed her the pink diamond ring. The ring that to this day still sits in Eddie’s bedside table drawer. She had found it a few weeks back while trying to find the weed she knew her dad had hidden somewhere when he caught her smoking by the pool.
That was the last straw for Violet Rose. Violet Rose no longer cared about consequences after seeing the reminder of why their lives had changed so dramatically. You didn’t, so why should she? You made her think that you never cared. How could you be so cruel to just leave her? You were going to be her Mom. She had believed that she was finally going to get a mother; the one thing she craved the most her whole life was ripped out from under her.
🎸𖤐𝄞💿𓆩🎧𓆪 🎸𖤐𝄞💿
Tonight was the night of a new club opening, and Roger ensured you were on the VIP list, not that it took much convincing for you to go. You wanted to get dolled up and have some fun with your girlfriends. You pre-gamed and got ready at your best friend Serena's house tonight.
Over the last few months, you've been feeling much better, finally getting out of the house for more than just work. You started seeing your friends more than twice a year, attending dinners and events with them. You were also being weaned off of your medication because your Dr. decided that your mind and body were going back to your old self, and you insisted you were feeling better.
"Tonight we are finding you a man!” you announced as you blended the pink blusher onto your cheek.
"Me? How about you, Ms. Chronically single?" she laughed, sipping her drink that smelled like gasoline. All you could do was roll your eyes. It had become easier thinking about Eddie, but it was still a sore subject you didn't speak of much.
"Oh, don't be like that; it was a million years ago," she giggled. The alcohol Serena was downing played a part in being so bold to bring it up. She had met you two years after the breakup; she didn’t know the whole story but knew it was terrible. Nobody knew the story but your parents and Eddie.
“Fine, tonight I will be reckless and throw all caution to the wind." You took a shot of tequila. The burn was quickly chased by the taste of lime. A loud cheer came from your best friend and twirled you around her bedroom. Laughing, you told her you needed her help picking out an outfit. You both decided on the strappy open-back hot pink silk minidress that made you feel like ten million bucks and your hot pink Louis Vuitton heels that matched the exact colour of the dress. Fitting for a Club named The Red Bottom’s.
Tonight, you felt like you needed to celebrate, wondering what you were celebrating, maybe because you made it out alive? Becoming yourself again? All the hard work you've put in the past four years? You didn't know... what you did know was tonight you were having fun.
Walking into the dimly lit club named The Red Bottom’s you could feel the beat of the music pulse through your veins as you watched the different colours light up the dance floor. It was packed already, and it was only midnight. You grabbed your friend's hand and dragged her to the bar. Ordering your shots, you pull out your wallet, but the bartender stops you. "Already covered" He nodded his head over to the other end of the bar, and you both made eye contact with two guys.
From what you could tell, they were about your age, tall, fit, typical Hollywood, and so not your type. Serena grabbed your hand and pulled you over. You checked your phone to see where the rest of your group was, and they told you they had a booth on the left side of the club.
"Thanks for the drinks." Serena batted her eyes and smiled as you stood by. They introduced themselves; their names were Patrick and Ray. The more you stood with them, the more antsy you got about wanting to get with the rest of the group.
"Love the new song, by the way." Your head snaps up from your phone, and you give the guy talking a small smile. "Thanks." Great, just another try-hard trying to get into your pants. Trying hard not to roll your eyes, you look to Serena and let her know you're joining the rest of the group.
Finally breaking through the sea of people on the dance floor, you made your way to the booth tucked away in the back corner. A slew of cheers filled your ears as you approached your friends.
Serena returned to the booth five minutes later with the two guys on her tail.
"You promised me," She whispered, climbing up to you.
"I did promise you, but I didn't promise it would be with one of these two.” You nodded your head in the men’s direction. Serena gave you an annoyed huff.
"Ok, look, you know that none of them are even my type; you have all the fun you want! Hell, take them both.” You giggled. “I will still be scouting." With that, she laughed and told you to go have a fun time. As you settled with your drink, she went to the dance floor.
You didn't take long to rejoin Serena for a dance after you finished your cocktail. Scouting the crowd for a man didn’t take much either; being who you are and being in the hottest new club, it didn’t take long for you to find a guy. Your newfound confidence radiated from you, and you spotted him across the room. The epitome of tall, dark and handsome. If you were to look it up in the dictionary, this man’s picture would be there. His rugged, rough edges had you hooked the moment your eyes met. Biting your lip, you wiggled your finger to get him to come to you. It had been so long since you last danced with someone like this. You were excited, and it felt good. This man towered over you, feeling his body swallow you, and he ground his hips against yours. Serena gave you a wink of approval; all she wanted was for you to have fun and let go.
It felt like you had been dancing for hours. You needed a break and another drink, so you returned to the booth. As you try to make your way back, not looking like baby Bambi holding on to a tall, dark, and handsome man, you discover his name is Maddox; you accidentally bump into someone.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry!'" You turn to apologize.
“Watch where you are going, Bitch” she slurred over the music.
“Excuse you?” You turn to get a good look at who it is, and you feel your heart in your throat.  You look like you have seen a ghost as all the blood from your face drains. You drop Maddox’s hand and bring it up to your mouth. There she was. Four years since she saw you last. However, you would know that face from anywhere.
Violet Rose was staring at you. Dumbfounded. Her big brown doe eyes go wide, still precisely like her father’s, at the realization of who you are, and then her face drops into more of a scowl. Looking confused, the much older man standing beside her wraps his arm around her protectively.
You instinctively grab her hand to pull her away. “Hey, get your hands off of her,” The guy yells over the loud bass. He is definitely your age or older.
“I’ll let you know she is sixteen,” you scowl. The guy's hand shoots up off of Violet, and he practically runs away from the both of you.
“How dare you! How could you do this to us?!” She screamed, finally breaking.
“I’m trying to protect you!” It was so hard to yell over the music.
“Not him!” She flails her arms in the creep's direction. “To me and Dad!”
She was causing a scene, and you didn’t know what to do; your emotions took over, and you wrapped your arms around the little girl your heart yearned for.
“I am so sorry, baby. Please forgive me?” You broke, you missed her and her father so much. Even though you weren’t her mother, you were the closest thing she had for a little while. You’re not sure how long you’re hugging her, crying, in the middle of a nightclub when the reality of where you were clicked in.
"What the hell are you even doing in here?! We are leaving!” You were furious; how on earth was she let into a club? When the fuck did she grow up to become a woman? And how was she allowed to leave the house dressed like this? You didn’t even own stilettos that high.
Violet Rose felt all the blood drain from her face. She was in so much trouble.
“Your father know where you are?” You arched your brows at her.
“Poppy, look, don’t tell my Dad! Please? I’ll go home right now, I swear,” She begged.
“Absolutely not, get.” You pointed towards the exit and called Tony to bring your car to the front. You didn’t even say goodbye to Serena or Tall, dark and handsome; you just beelined the both of you to the door.
You stop by the club promoter and bouncers outside as you exit the club. “I don’t know what kind of place you think you are running, but letting in a sixteen-year-old?!” You yell, drawing attention to yourself. Even though it was two in the morning, there were still paps all around, trying to catch a glimpse of the stars entering and exiting The Red Bottoms. The flashing lights were blinding, but you couldn't care less at this moment.
“I'm going to sue this place! I should call the cops for letting in minors! Better yet, I’ll tell her father! Do you know who her father is? Eddie Munson, that’s who!” You shoved your pointer finger into the chest of the club promoter and looked at you blankly.
When you turned, you saw Violet Rose standing there, embarrassed at the commotion you had just made. She looked so small as you walked back over to her; even though she had grown into a beautiful young woman, she was starting to look like her mother. The mother she never got a chance to get to know. You wondered if she knows now that she is older?
“Get in the car.” You point at your pink G Wagon.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to disappoint you.” She hugs her arms around herself.
“Nice try, in.” You were not falling for this act; you had been sixteen once, too.
“What about your guy?” She asked, deflecting.
“What guy?” You totally forgot about Tall Dark and Handsome.
“You were with a guy when I bumped into you and-”
“And called me a bitch?” You finished her sentence. “I don’t know. I met him half an hour ago.” You brushed it off.
“Oh, so you’re not with anyone?” You saw a hint of sparkle in her eye.
“Violet Rose get. in. the. car.” You are not having this conversation with her right now surrounded by paps.
“Fine.” Violet Rose got into the car. A small part of her was happy to see you again; she just wished they were in different circumstances.
🎸𖤐𝄞💿𓆩🎧𓆪 🎸𖤐𝄞💿
Eddie jolted awake in a cold sweat; his heart sank as he glanced at the clock that read 2:47 a.m. He knew something was wrong as he jumped out of bed, not bothering to put on pants, running out of his room in only his underwear and rushed to Violet Roses's room. He opened the door to see that her window was open and she wasn’t there.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit” He had a guttural instinct that VR wasn’t here, but he had to check everywhere.
He first checked her bathroom to see if she had gotten up. She begged him to stay home with her tonight because she was sick. He was supposed to attend a club opening tonight, but how could he leave his Cupcake? Especially when she gave him the puppy dog eyes? They may not have been getting along recently, but he still was the biggest pushover when it came to her.
They had a good night, other than the fact that she was sick; it was like old times. They curled up on the couch and watched movies; he made her soup, and they enjoyed one another’s company. Something that hasn’t happened in a long time. It made Eddie realize that it was too long; he had been moping around for too long and needed to change, or he would lose VR forever.
Eddie frantically ran to every other room of the house, calling out her name when he didn’t find her in the bathroom. He was shaking with panic.
Eddie went back to his bedroom to check his phone to see if he missed any calls or texts, but not one was from Violet Rose or about her. Where the fuck was she? As he calls her phone repeatedly, he runs outside to see if she is out there. Ring after ring, the phone goes to voicemail. He had reached the end of the driveway behind the gate that was still closed. His heart skipped a beat when he saw two headlights of a bubblegum pink G Wagon pulling up to the gates of his estate. He instinctively knows that gaudy thing has to belong to you.
With a deep breath, Eddie opened the gate. The driver slowly pulled up and got out to open the door. Violet Rose is the first to step out and Eddie feels like he can breathe again. She is home, and she is safe. He releases a breath he didn’t know he was holding, but all that relief washes away the second he sees you step out of the car behind her.
He can feel the anxiety shooting through his arms to the tips of his fingers. He doesn’t understand what is happening. Was Violet Rose hanging out with you behind his back? Was she trying to get back at him? Why would his baby be with you? And why was his baby dressed like that?!
“Start talking” is all Eddie manages to get out through his teeth. His hands balled up into fists, trying to regulate his breathing.
You open your mouth to start to explain what happened, but the sight of Eddie standing there in his boxers, chest heaving, you get too overwhelmed at the sight. There is no denying that your attraction to Eddie is still there. You had been mesmerized by the way he looked; his crow's feet were a bit more defined, he was accepting his silver hairs coming in, his skin was pebbled with goosebumps as it was early spring in the middle of the night, and he was practically naked. He was still just as fit, maybe even more so, fuck he made 44 look good. So you stand there with your mouth agape, gawking at him like a moron, until Violet Rose cuts in.
“Hi, Daddy,” it had come out so meek.
“Don’t hi, Daddy. WHERE WERE YOU?” he belted. His face was beat red. You had never seen or heard Eddie so mad, not even on that dreaded day.
“I found her at the Red Bottom's,” You cut in, giving some slack for Violet Rose.
“The Red Bottom's? THE RED BOTTOM'S!” It hits him: the new club downtown that he was supposed to attend tonight for the grand opening but didn’t attend because Vi was “sick” and needed to take care of her.
“Inside now.” He was seething, pointing towards the house. Things did not look good for VR. You took that as your cue to leave as you saw her sulk off to the house with her head down. Turning back to the car, you think to yourself this was it. This was your only chance to see him again, and you stood there like a brainless zombie, just ogling him.
“I didn’t dismiss you.” You stop mid-stride and turn slowly as his deep voice filters through your ears.
“Excuse me?” You question, slowly turning back around.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Eddie was still seething.
“What am I doing?” You countered back.
“Violet Rose is sneaking off to be with you behind my back! How long has this been going on!?” He accused.
“What the fuck are you talking about, Eddie?” Hearing his name leave your lips was like a gut punch.
“This is all your fault!” He accused again.
“Oh, this is my fault?! How is this my fault? You’re lucky I spotted her and dragged her ass home! You don’t even want to know who she was with when I found her! You’re lucky I did because if I hadn’t, she would still be there doing god knows what with who knows what!” You got in his face. How dare he accuse you of bringing harm to her! You love that kid more than life like she is your own.
“You know what?!” He counters back.
“What?!” You yell.
What Eddie did next was something so unexpected that it caught you off guard.
“Thank you.” He pulled you into a bear hug. “I was so scared; I didn’t know where she was.” He confessed in a whisper because you were right. Who knows what could have happened to his baby? He was so distraught and mad about the past, but you put his family first after all these years.
“Eddie, I am so sorry. For everything.” You whisper, finally reciprocating the hug by latching your arms around him. He still smelled the same; it brought comfort, wrapped around you like a warm blanket, and you never wanted to leave.
“No, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have yelled at you.” He shook his head, releasing you. In his fit of rage, he didn’t get to take you in. Fuck. You were more beautiful to him than memories served.
“No, Eddie. I mean for everything.” You looked down, ashamed that you let things go this far.
“Oh. I am sorry, too.” He swallowed the lump in his throat.
“I uh, fuck - I’ll always love you, and uh and Violet. You know that? Right?” You look up at him with glassy eyes, tears threatening to break free. The words he prayed to hear for the past four years finally left your lips. He didn’t know what to think or say. “And I still- shit. I’m sorry you don’t want me- I’m going to go.” You turn, but Eddie catches your forearm to pull you back into him.
“I let you leave once; don’t for a second think that I am going to let you go again.”
Not giving it a second thought, Eddie crashed his lips into yours, and everything fell back into place at that moment. The missing puzzle piece had been found and restored back into its space.
“Angel, I am still so in love with you; you’re my entire world. Always have been. Always will be.” He mumbled against your mouth. Eddie could no longer be mad at you; he would not waste another moment on being angry and sad. The last few years of his life were full of it, and he was ready to let that all go because here you are, telling him you love him.
“I’m so sorry, Baby.” You let your tears finally slip past your lashes.
The closure you had been craving was no longer gnawing at your mind. Eddie loves you and never has stopped long you. You had wasted so much time being sad and lonely. But could it really just be that easy? He would accept you back just like that? So much time has passed, and you are not the same people from four years ago.
“So what now?” You asked, pulling back.
“You’re mine.” Eddie pulled you back in to kiss you; he had so much lost time to make up for.
“Eddie, I- what about everything? Do you even trust me? I wouldn’t trust me…” You looked down as the feeling of shame washed over you. You were so stupid for letting him go.
“Angel, look at me.” He hooked a finger under your chin. No one has called you that name since you left Eddie. Hearing it made your stomach erupt with butterflies. “We will have to work on things, but I am not ever letting you go. I won’t survive if I have to lose you again. Understood?”
“Yes, Sir.” Your eyes widen as the words slip past your lips. It was instinct to address him that way.
“That's my good girl” He gave a cocky smirk and leaned in to kiss you. He couldn’t get enough; his lifeline had been restored. All of the sadness within him was being plucked away with each brush of your lips.
Sure, you and Eddie had a lot to work on, but Eddie didn’t care.  He had his girl back, his Angel. Things wouldn’t return to normal immediately; he knew that… you knew that. Eddie thought about how he would have to cancel the “date” he had set up for tomorrow as you gave him a last kiss goodbye. Watching you get back into the car was hard, but then he remembered that he had to deal with VR. What the fuck was this night turning into?
“Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you.” Eddie walked back into the house to see Violet Rose sitting on the staircase.
“Daddy, do you think?” She was hopeful that what she saw through the window could lead to something more. Something that could bring her family back together.
“Don’t change the subject.” His head was spinning; he didn’t need to discuss his love life with his sixteen-year-old right after she had snuck out of the house.
“No phone, no TV, no internet, no going out. You go to school, and you come home. That is final.”
“What?! That’s so unfair. For how long?!” She cried.
“Until I say so. Phone, now.” He held out his hand, and she reluctantly placed it on his palm.
“Don’t you dare ever scare me like that again?! Got it! Now apologize.” He commanded.
“I’m sorry for scaring you, but I’m not sorry for sneaking out tonight.” She smirked.
“Excuse you?” Eddie was shocked.
“If I hadn’t gone out tonight, she wouldn’t have brought me home, and you wouldn’t have that stupid smile on your face.”
“What stupid smile?” Eddie scowled just to prove a point.
“Nice try, old man, can’t fool me; I saw you walking up the driveway.” Violet Rose laughed as she made her way up the stairs. Maybe her punishment wouldn’t be so bad if her dad was finally happy again.

The next day, you had been flooded with missed calls from Roger, and the press had a feel day with your little outburst, all of it being caught on TMZ, of course.
“Sweetheart, what did you do?” You could no longer avoid the sixth call from him.
“Look, Rog, I had a lot of alcohol, and Violet Rose was there; she is only sixteen. What was I supposed to do?-”
“Nothing,” Roger cut in.
“Absolutely not. I have morals, Roger.” You could just picture how he was sitting at his desk, pinching his brows because you knew you were giving him a headache.
“Look, everyone is going to be poking around, thinking you and Munson are back together. Now I know that contract has ended an-”
“We are back together,” you cut him off. There was a few seconds of silence because he needed to process what you had just said.
“What?” He asked.
“I said Eddie and I are back together. For real, no contracts, no bullshit.” You couldn’t get the stupid grin off of your face if you had tried.
“Oh, well, um, wow, this is unexpected; I’m so happy for you!"
“Really?” Your voice went up an octave.
“Of course, sweetheart, this is excellent news; I have been worried about you; something in you changed, and you tried to cover it up, but I know you… and also will bring up more publicity. Everyone loves it when couples get back together! Look at J-Lo and Affleck; no one could stop talking about them for weeks!”
“Well, I guess this whole nightclub thing will blow over?” You wince, biting your thumb.
“Should be fine; when are you announcing your relationship? How long has it been?” Roger questioned.
“Oh, um, well, it just happened last night, so let's give it a few weeks and see how things play out…” fuck, this was not supposed to be another publicity stunt.
“Understandable. I’ll contact you in a few days to see what’s happening, OK? Kisses”
“Bye Rog” You hung up the phone to see Eddie was calling you.
Eddie asked you to meet up with him today and go on a walk to clear up things. You felt an overwhelming sense of being home when he opened his door. He was still in the same house, and it looked like only a little visually had changed over the years.
Eddie greeted you with a hug and a kiss that lingered for a while. The familiarity of his lips on yours gave you an overwhelming sense of comfort. He made you feel at home.
Eddie took your hand and closed the door behind him, ready to go.
You just walked through the neighbourhood, having it be a gated community; no one would bother the two of you.
“I can’t believe this is happening.” You laugh, shaking your head.
“Same, but I’m happy that it is.” Eddie brought your hand up to his mouth to kiss the back of your hand.
“I don’t really know where to begin…” you trailed off, looking out at the California skyline.
“Let’s start off with how have you been?” Eddie genuinely asked.
“Honestly, I’ve been doing much better than I had been over the last few years. I was in an awful place after it all happened. I wanted to talk with you badly but knew you hated me.” You looked down at your shoes, still ashamed about how you left things.
“I could never hate you, Angel. I was stubborn and so hard-headed that I refused to grovel. But I regret every day that passed that I didn’t try to get you back.” Eddie admitted.
“Really?” You look at him with shock. You had convinced yourself that Eddie was never in love with you that the thought of him being heartbroken escaped your mind.
“Of course, Angel. Don’t you remember where I was taking you when… uh-”
“When I ran away…. Yeah, I remember. But I convinced myself that it was just... I don't know? lust…”
“Hmmm,” that caught Eddie off guard. What could he have done to make you think he wasn’t being raw and honest with you?
Eddie debated whether he should tell you about the ring as you walked in uncomfortable silence. He decided against it; he felt it wouldn’t be right.
“I never asked how you have been?” You look to Eddie as he is lost in thought.
“Bad. No sense in lying to you. I’m sure Vi will tell you eventually.” He sighed.
Your heart dropped at his confession. He seemed to be doing well. He was the hottest bachelor at the moment.
“I feel like a broken record, but I’m truly sorry, Eddie. I was such a mess after everything, and I thought you hated me, so I couldn’t talk to you, and it got so bad I couldn’t get out of bed. My doctor put me on meds because I literally didn’t want to do anything, and I missed you and Violet Rose so bad! I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest. Not to make this about me, but I just wanted to let you know my decision was wrong, and I hated myself daily. And I will try my best to make it up to both of you. I promise I’ll never leave you like that ever again…. That's if you’ll have me.”
“Your doctor put you on medication?” He looked at you with concern.
“Ugh, yeah. I’m slowly coming off of them now; it’s been about two months. I’m feeling a lot better.” You admit
“Jesus Angel. You should have told me! I would have done anything for you, you know that, right?” He said as he pulled you into a hug.
“I do now,” you whisper.
“And I’m sorry as well. I should have never yelled at you like that. I felt awful the second I left you standing there alone in that big empty house… I sold it, by the way… I couldn’t go back. The memories were too… sour.” He looked down to his chest.
“Well, I can’t stomach Italian food anymore… makes me sick even thinking about it.” You admit with a  shudder, trying to lighten the mood.
“And I can’t eat Cinnamon Rolls anymore because of you,” he admits.
You look at him quizzically.
“Reminded me too much of your perfume… it uh… made me sick whenever I smelled vanilla and cinnamon.” He shrugged
You looked at him with such sorrow. The both of you were so fucked up by what happened. How could you ever work through this? There was so much hurt to overcome.
“Enough about the past. We are on the same page. We have years to make up for.” Eddie brought your lips to him for a gentle kiss. You wanted so badly to deepen the kiss, but you were in the middle of the suburbs, and any stay-at-home mom desperate for gossip could clock the two of you in a second.
Eddie pulled away, and you made your way back to his place. Once you arrived, Eddie invited you inside.
“So where is the little criminal?” You asked, entering the living room. Memories flood back to when you would have sleepovers and make forts and Disney movie marathons.
“Present.” She came waltzing through from the kitchen.
“Hi Vi,” you walk over to her to embrace her in a hug. It shouldn’t have surprised you when she didn’t hug you back.
“I’m so sorry for how I left things, but I don’t know how much your dad told you?” You look to Eddie and see him shake his head no. “I, uh, I think you are old enough to know some details?” You and Eddie discussed on your way back home that VR also had to be on board for this to work. She had to know the truth.
“Come sit, Cupcake.” Eddie patted the couch cushion next to him.
You and Eddie then explained how, at first, the entire thing was a sham, but you ended up falling for one another in the end, but things had to break off because of the contract.
“You’re joking?” That was Violet Rose’s first response.
“Unfortunately not,” You speak up.
“That is the most fucked up and stupid thing I think I’ve ever heard.” she rolled her eyes.
“Hey, language. Don’t make me extend your punishment.” Eddie pointed to her.
“I’m sorry, but you’re telling me I am supposed to believe you two broke up because of a piece of paper?” She stares dumbfounded.
“Well, yeah, that’s what happened…” Eddie shifted his gaze to you.
“And you didn’t think to... I don't know? SNEAK AROUND?!” She flailed her arms in the air.
“Uh… no, actually, that never crossed my mind.” Eddie looked at you, and you shrugged.
“You don’t get it. Cupcake things were not that black and white; it was complicated.”
“Whatever, can I go to my room now?” She rolled her eyes.
“Fine, go.” Eddie sighed.
“Don't worry, she will come around eventually. She was excited last night and started questioning if we would be back together.” Eddie smirked.
That made you feel better; you would hate for Violet Rose not to see you in the same light as before.

A month passed, and yours and Eddie’s schedules conflicted. You were recording your new album, and Eddie was busy with the band. Nothing had been coordinated until today, your first official date, and you told Eddie you were planning the whole thing because it was the least you could do for him.
You drove to Eddie’s house mid-afternoon to pick him up.
“Absolutely not.” As you pulled up in your baby pink vintage convertible Cadillac, he shook his head. Eddie Munson may be a sim, however, he still has an image to keep up with. He would not be seen being chauffeured in a pink car, especially by his woman. He was old school, and he would be the one driving them.
“What do you mean?” You pout. God, he was such a sucker for that face you pull, but he would stand his ground.
“I’m driving,” Eddie stated plainly.
“But I’m the one treating you.” You state.
“Don’t care. Not going in that gaudy thing.” He crossed his arms.
You roll your eyes as you unwillingly step out of the car.
“Don’t think I didn’t see that.” His tone was serious, but his eyes said otherwise as he took your hand and kissed the top of it.
“Hi, Princess.” He smiled
“Hi, Baby.” Everything felt right again like nothing had changed.
“Just tell me where we are going.” Eddie walked around to the passenger side to open the door for you. You ignored his request as you got into his black Bentley Continental. You punched the address into the GPS and were on your way.
“Le Labo?” Eddie questions when you arrive at the destination.
“It’s a custom perfumery. Since you said you can’t stomach mine anymore, I called and made an appointment to make one for each other?” You bite your nails in anticipation. Did he hate the idea? Was it too boring?
“This is not what I was expecting at all, Angel, but this is really cool.” he pulled you into his side as you walked into the building.
After smelling all the smells and finally deciding on a concoction for one another, your perfumes were complete, and you could take them home. For Eddie’s, you choose notes of nutmeg, white musk, and jasmine. You named his Dungeon Master. Eddie picked a more floral scent for yours with notes of tuberose, jasmine, and tonka bean and called it Angel Wings. He made you wear it as soon as you stepped out of the perfumery.
The next stop for your date was your house. Eddie had never been to your home. You managed to buy one two years ago and were able to sell your condo. You were happy to have a new space, one with happy memories.
You managed to snag a bungalow in Bel-Air for just under five million. It needed some updating, so you’ve been slowly making renovations. It was almost done to your liking; you just had to finish up the guest bathroom, and then it would be perfect.
The whole house was very you. In the kitchen was your favourite part of the home. The cabinets and countertops were white, and the backsplash, appliances, and cookware were all pink. The house was an open concept, which you loved; it was very light and airy with little clutter, but it looked homey. It's very much the exact opposite of Eddie’s interior decor. There were floor-to-ceiling windows all over that let in a lot of natural light. You had a massive sectional in the living room that you often fell asleep on because it was that comfortable. Your favourite part of the house was the living room that opened into the back patio, which led into the pool. Your garden was lush and complete; a giant hedge that acted as a privacy wall surrounded the yard so no one could see in. It was your own little piece of paradise.
“I didn't know you moved?” Eddie asked, pulling into your driveway.
“How could you’ve?” Even though the two of you had made up, the wounds were still fresh. You didn’t mean anything by your comment, but you sensed it irked Eddie.
“I’m sorry-
“Angel, if you apologize one more time,” he gives you a look of warning before stepping out of the car and running over to your side.
 Some things never change.
“So what is next on the schedule?” Eddie asked as he followed you into your home.
“Thought I could cook you dinner.” You smile as you lead the both of you into the kitchen.
You hear Eddie chuckle behind you.
“What?” You turn, arms crossed, to see him examining your space.
“I expected nothing less from you.” He chuckled as he pulled you into him by the waist.
Eddie leaned down to kiss you. This was the first kiss you shared since reuniting almost four weeks ago. You lean into it as you uncross your arms to wrap them around the back of his neck. The kiss was tentative at first, nothing but a small peck. Eddie tested the waters as he slowly leaned into you, but you needed more. You pressed into Eddie, raising your tiptoes to press yourself fully into him. He got the hint as his strong hands slipped from your jaw and cascaded down past your waist to grip your ass. A moan slipped from your lips as he massaged his hands into you.
“Fuck, I missed your noises,” Eddie spoke into your mouth.
“Mmhmm” you hummed.
“I need you, Angel.” Eddie rubbed his hardening length into your lower abdomen.
“What about dinner?” You pant into his open mouth.
“I’ve waited long enough for you; dinner can wait.” Eddie pushed you back into the kitchen counter, and you took no time tugging at the bottom of his shirt, frantically lifting it over his head. You latch your mouth where his neck meets his collar, nipping and biting until you’ve marked your territory. Eddie whimpered as your hand grazed over the tent his hardened bulge created. Never had Eddie whined like this just from your touch. Eddie froze, unsure what was happening; his body had never reacted this way with anyone.
“Baby, you ok?” You whispered into his ear as your hand moulded around the thick shaft. There was a shift in the air; Eddie was at your mercy. He didn’t even correct you when you didn’t call him Sir. He nodded and swallowed hard. His heart was racing, his muscular chest was heaving up and down as you delicately traced your hands up to the button of his black trousers.
“Fuck baby, don’t tease me. I-I-” he shakes his head in a daze.
“Shhhhh, it’s okay, baby, I’ll take care of you.” It’s the least you could do for him. You slide down to your knees, cadged between the kitchen cabinets and your boyfriend. You unzip his pants, and he shimmies out of them as fast as he can. Your mouth waters as Eddie's naked frame towers over you. His thick thighs flex as you run the tips of your long red nails over his flesh. You can see the defined muscle of his legs tighten as you get closer to the apex.
“Tell me what you want baby.” You graze your glossy lips over the underbelly of his shaft up to the silver ball of his piercing that you craved when you were all alone in the middle of the night.
“You,” he whispers as he cups your cheek with his right hand.
“What part of me do you want, Eddie?” You look up at him with eyes glazed with lust.
It’s been so long that you remember the first time you were on your knees for him. The thrill of the memory brings butterflies to your stomach.
“All of you.” Eddie pants.
“Uh-uh, naughty boy. Don’t get greedy,” you smirk as you slowly run your hand up and down his shaft.
“Your mouth, Angel. Gimme your mouth. Please.” The anticipation broke when your mouth engulfed his long thick cock into your mouth, wholly.
You tried your best to fit as much of him as you could. Did he get bigger over the past four years? No? That’s not possible? But you felt so full that you're memory failed you as you tried to get him all down your throat. You came back up in a gasp of air. A string of saliva connected your lips to his tip. You stroked your hand up and down the long shaft. Memorizing each vein as you did. You went back down, and that whimper came back.
Oh, the lovely little whine coming from Edie’s mouth was making your pussy flutter. You were starting to understand why he loved your moans and whimpers. Hearing them only made your arousal pool in your panties.
“Please, baby, I need you. I need you so bad.” Having Eddie begging for you was also a new experience that unlocked something in your brain. In all aspects of the term, this larger-than-life man at your mercy was turning you on in ways you never thought possible. You didn’t let up; you worked your tongue around his tip, then slid him back down your throat again.
“FUCK angel, please I don’t think I can last long. I need to fuck you, baby. Please let me fuck you; let me feel that pretty little pussy.” He was begging, and you were thriving. However, the need for him to fill you was becoming greater than the feeling he was giving you when he was begging, so you let up. With a pop, you let his throbbing member out of your mouth. Eddie hiked you up off the floor and started to strip you down as fast as he could.
“Where do you want me?” he asked as he kissed down your neck. He let a finger trail up your sticky inner thighs.
“Don’t care,” you shake your head.
“Bedroom?” He looks over his shoulder down the hall to where he assumes your room is.
“No time.” You turn so you’re bent over the kitchen countertop.
“Always so ready for me.” Eddie swiped a single digit up your wet slit.
“Fuck me, fuck me hard,” you pleaded.
“Yes, ma’am,” you heard the smirk in his voice.
Eddie tugged your hair as he pulled your head to the side so he could kiss you, it was sloppy and wet, so much tongue, but it didn’t matter when you felt the tip of his cock run up and down your folds. The metal ball of his ring was cool against your hot clit. Your body shivered as it brushed against you before slipping past your entrance. You pushed your body back into Eddie so he could fill you as fast as possible.
Eddie’s grip on your hair tightened as he yanked your head back so you were arching into him. The leverage he had using your head as a vice to slam into you over and over. His other hand explored your chest, harshly gripping your breast. You’re sure his fingertips will be scorched into your skin forever.
“Fuck I missed this pussy” he growled into your ear as his hot breath cascaded over your skin. The room was full of the wet sound of Eddie pounding into you. His harsh thrusts didn’t slow as he fucked himself into you. He pulled out entirely, and you cried at the loss of him.
“Just needed to taste you.” You felt his hands spread apart your cheeks. His warm tongue replaced his cock, travelling its way from one hole to the other. A feral moan left your lungs, and before you knew it, he was back hovering over you, guiding his cock back where it belonged.
“Nobody compares to you” his praises didn't match his movement; if you hadn’t known any better, you swore he was hate fucking you right now… and maybe he was? He had years of pent-up feelings about you.
“This is my pussy understand? It belongs to me and only me,” his grip finally left your hair as his hand slid down to your throbbing clit.
“Yes, Sir.” You cried as his fingertips made contact.
“Tell me,” he demanded.
“I’m yours, baby. I am yours,” you spoke after each thrust up into you.
“Fuck I love you so much; tell me you love me. I need to hear it.” Eddie’s thrusts hadn’t let up; you were a bit shocked by the stamina; even your legs were about to give out.
“I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.” You chanted like a mantra. The feeling in your lower stomach was forming. Eddie kissed down the side of your neck; the butterflies were starting with each circle of his fingers, each harsh bite and nip at your neck, each thrust hitting you so deep, the spot you’d been so desperate to get to but no matter how many times you tried on your own you just couldn’t.
“I’m cumming!” Your body trembled, your pussy clenched down so hard you knew your body would soar in a few minutes.
“Shit, I’m close. Tell me how much you want me.” He spoke through his teeth.
“Please, Sir! Fill me, I want you so bad,” you cry.
“You want this cum baby? Do you want me to pump my load into you? That it? You want me to make you mine?” Eddie growled.
“Yes!” You nod.
After only a few more thrusts, Eddie came not long after you, pumping his load into you further and further until he slipped out of you. You collapse your body onto your kitchen counter as Eddie hangs his body weight over you, caging you in.
“Baby, you ok?” You feel Eddie wrap his arms around your middle.
“Yeah, just need to feel you.” He mumbled into the side of your neck. You could feel the warm cum dripping down your trembling legs. The realization hit you that you didn’t use protection. Your body stiffened, and Eddie caught on, “What’s wrong, baby?” He got up so you could turn to face him. You kissed him, not wanting to ruin the moment. He deserved one good day with you, and would a baby so bad? Having his baby. No, you dreamed of having his baby all the years ago.
Eddie deepened the kiss, and your thoughts dispersed; Eddie was the only thing clouding your brain. He picked you up, latching your legs around his waist.
“You going to show me your bedroom now, little lady?” He kissed down the other side of your neck, mirroring the marks he had left on the other side.
“Down the hall, second door on the left.” Eddie was already walking before you finished taking it. He entered your room and threw you on the bed to climb onto you.
“Really, you’re ready for round two?” Your question, even you still need some recovery time,
“You wound me, princess.” He drops his head as his large tattooed hand covers his heart. You then notice when he moved his hand that below where Violet Rose's name was etched into his skin over his heart was a tattoo you hadn’t seen before. A small pair of blacked-out angel wings with a halo hovering above.
Your hand shot up to trace over the ink in his skin.
“Eddie.” You whispered.
Eddie looked down to see what made your eyes glaze over. The realization that you hadn’t seen it yet hit him hard. He wasn’t sure why he acted on impulse that day, but something in him told him he had to keep you close to his heart, that he couldn’t let you go. So he got this tattoo dedicated to you a year after the breakup.
He cleared his throat; he was a little embarrassed by how desperate he was for you. How desperate he still is for you.
“Look, I-” You didn’t let him finish because you pulled him down into you by the back of his neck to kiss him. To really kiss him, a kiss to show him that you love him, that you always loved him, that you were sorry for ever hurting him.
“I love you,” you mumbled into his mouth. A shit-eating grin formed on Eddie’s face. He couldn’t get enough of you saying those words, and now you said it first, unprovoked. He slid down your body.
“Hey, where are you going?” You whined at the loss of his warm body hovering over you.
“I don’t get to worship my girl properly.” He parted your sticky legs.
“Eddie, you just came. You sure you want to?” You questioned, clamping your legs together.
“When has that ever stopped me before?” he pried open your knees. Not wasting another second, he was lapping at your clit, sending you into a cloudy euphoria.

“Come home with me?” Eddie asked the following day. You’d been intertwined with one another all night, not leaving one another for a moment. Not even when you got up to go to the bathroom. You didn’t want to waste another second apart. You never thought you would be this happy again; the ecstasy flowing through you was giving you a high.
“I want you to meet Wayne.” he snuggled his head into the crook of your neck.
“I would love to,” you sighed.
“Good, we are going back in two weeks; Violet hasn’t seen her Pops in too long.” He smiled.
“You never told me much about him before?” You shifted in the sheets to face him.
You absentmindedly reached over to play with his hair.
“Not much to say,” he shrugged.
You gave him a pointed look that told him he wasn’t getting out of this conversation.
“Fine,” he chuckled. “He is a stubborn old grump who took me in when he didn’t need to. He really is a softy on the inside, especially when it comes to his granddaughter.” He sighed.
“Sounds like he is a really good guy,” you smile.
“He is, won’t admit it though, he is a very humble man, and it took years in order to convince him to live in the house I got him instead of the trailer I grew up in. I literally had to have it moved into the backyard with the house to convince him to leave that place.” He laughed.
You needed to meet the man who raised Eddie to thank him for doing such a good job. It meant so much to you that he would want you to meet him, especially after everything that happened.
“I can’t wait to meet him.” You kiss him gently.
“Good because I already told him you are coming. Gotta show off my girl to everyone.
Eddie’s words made your heart flutter. You still couldn’t believe this was happening and that he didn’t hate you.
The following two weeks had flown by. Trying to convince Violet Rose that you are staying for good was much more complex than you thought. She was very standoffish and didn’t give you much to work with. When you spoke to her, she would give grunts and one-word answers if you were lucky. Being a teenage girl means approaching with a topic of interest, and with VR growing up so much since you’ve seen her, it’s been hard to wiggle your way back in.
School was not a discussion topic; partying was also a sore subject because she was still grounded, so on your flight back to Indiana, you tried again. She gave you the cold shoulder, still not forgiving you. Not understanding at all why you had left. You were starting to question why you left things as you did. It didn’t make sense in retrospect. She was right, you could have snuck around, you could have “broken up” and gotten back together weeks later. But in the moment, everything was too much; you were overwhelmed by everything you weren’t thinking about. Now, as a thirty-year-old, you have learned so much. You were not ready for many things that came your way but you got through them; and on your own. Giving yourself room to grow and become your best was probably the best thing that came out of this situation.
“Hey, old man,” Eddie yelled into the empty foyer of Wayne’s quaint bungalow.
Violet Rose pushed past the both of you and walked into what you believed to be her bedroom just off the front door.
“Finally, I’ve been waitin’ round for ages! Can’t that dang plan of yours go any faster?” Wayne rounded the corner as he entered the long hallway. He embraced Eddie in a thigh hug, snaking his back a few times before letting go.
“Angel, this is Wayne” he smiled brightly
“Pops, this is my Angel.” You smile at Wayne before he opens his arms for a hug hello.
Wayne knew of you from the past. Mainly when he spoke with his granddaughter. She spoke so highly of you all those years ago.
“I’m so happy to finally meet you.” You squeezed your arms around the elderly man.
“Pleasure’s all my darlin'.” he pulled back to get a good look at you, then looked around. “Where’s my Grandbaby?”
Eddie chuckled and then pointed towards the door. “Don’t think she could get away that easy?” Wayne smirked.
Violet must have heard the conversation because she stepped out of the room and was changed into her sweats and an old Corroded Coffin shirt.
“Hey, Gramps.” She smiled slightly and leaned into him for a hug.
“Hey baby girl, you get taller? Damn, I haven’t seen you in so long” he brushed her curly locks down as he patted her head.
“Probably, but I think I’m done now,” she giggled. It was the first time you had seen her in a good mood.
“Well, let’s quit standing in the hallway; come in!” He waves the three of you into his home.
Wayne cooked a delicious dinner, and then Eddie showed you around the only trailer that sat in the backyard. He wasn’t kidding when he said Wayne wouldn’t move unless it went with him.
Eddie showed you around his old bedroom; he said it was like stepping into a time machine. Everything had been left as it was when he left at 21.
You teased him when you found an old Playboy that was very well-used. His cheeks flared up as you flipped through the dusty pages. He told you there used to be a display of mugs, the same one that was now inside the house, and a bunch of trucker hats that also used to be a staple, but now we’re probably in his bedroom collecting dust there.
When you went back inside, you saw Wayne and VR huddled around the pool playing a game of Snooker. It was nice to see Violet Rose enjoying her time around you rather than sulking like a moody teenager.
Eddie announced that both of you would join in the next round, and Violet rolled her eyes so much for progress.
The rest of the night was relatively peaceful. Only one more snarky remark from Violet Rose got a stern response from her Pops, telling her off for talking back to her elders.
“Don’t you teach this girl any manners? Did I not raise you to respect people?” Wayne grumbled.
“You try raising a teenage girl, then come back to me; maybe I’ll leave her here for the summer,” Eddie smirked, which got a rise out of Violet.
“I love you, Gramps, but I would rather die than live in Hawkins,” she winced.
“Don’t blame ya, Sweet-pea, but I think all that Hollywood California L. A bullshit, pardon my French, has gotten to that head of yours ” he shook his head.
Eddie couldn’t help but laugh; it was so infectious you tried to hold in your giggles.
“You guys are the worst! Just try and be a teenager now!” She dropped her pool cue and stormed off to her room.
You looked at Eddie and gave a sympathetic smile; if anyone knew what she was going through in this room, it would be you. You went after her to see if she would open up to you.
You tentatively knocked on the door three times before she told you to go away.
"Vi, can I please come in?" you speak through the door.
"No," you could hear her eyes roll.
"Come on, Vi, who do you want to talk to you? Me a girl who has been in your position or your Dad?" you wait silently while she contemplates her options.
"Fine." You hear her get up and walk to the door. She doesn't say anything when she opens the door. She turns and sulks back to her bed, curling her knees to her chest.
"So..." you start while thinking about what to say next. "Want to tell me what is going on?" you sit at the opposite end of her bed; you don't want to crowd her.
"Not particularly," She mumbled into her knees.
“Okay," you drew out with a huff. "How about I list off some things that I think are the issues, and you let me know if I'm close?"
Violet Rose stared at you blankly, but you took that as a yes.
"Okay... is it about school?"
"No"
"Friends?"
"No"
"A boy?"
"Not really"
Okay that's good you were getting somewhere.
"Not really? So, a boy problem with you? Or someone else?"
"It's about you and Dad."
"Of course," you sighed.
"It's not that... it's not that I don't want you together because that is all I ever wanted. But I'm scared you're going to leave again." She was so meek. You hadn't seen Violet Rose, so unsure of herself. You reached out your comforting hand, shocked when she let you leave it resting over hers.
"I am so sorry about how I left things with you. I will never forgive myself for not being there to say goodbye. But I promise I am not planning on leaving this time. Your father and I are nowhere near perfect, but we are working on things. And if we ever plan to not continue things between us, I promise you I will always be a part of your life as long as you want me to be. Okay?" you sighed.
You waited a few seconds in silence before she responded. "Okay.'' She whispered while giving a meek smile.
"Was that the only thing bothering you?" you chide.
Violet sat and wondered if she wanted to share her feelings about her crush on her friend, Charlotte. Violet knew she liked both girls and boys for a while now but wasn't ready to divulge. She would rather speak about that to her aunts, Robin and Nancy. She shook her head no and said she would have an early night.
You bid her a goodnight, and when you closed her door, a triumphant smile spread across your face. Progress has been made; that's all you wanted.
You rounded the corner and caught the end of Eddie and Wayne's conversation.
"Don't let this one go again, boy, or else I'll never forgive ya'."
"Don't worry, I'm not going to let him this time," You said with the same goofy smile.
"You're in a good mood. I'm assuming things went well?" Eddie pulled you in by the waist to sit beside him on the couch.
"Yeah, she will be okay. Just needed some reassurance, is all." You curled up next to him.
Eddie didn't say anything more when he gave a kiss to your temple.
"Told ya she would be good for you son." Wayne tipped the beer bottle to you.
"Yea, yea, yea, you are always right," Eddie laughed.
It seemed that you were fitting back into their family just perfectly.

On your second day in Hawkins, Eddie wanted to take you around town and bring you to meet his old friends. He told you that his buddy Steve was hosting a BBQ and invited all of his old high school friends for the occasion. He said you were going to meet everyone. Steve and his wife and kids, Robin and Nancy, who were married; Nancy’s little brother Mike and his Wife El; Dustin and his wife Suzy and their kids; Lucas and his wife Max and their kids; and Luca’s little sister Erica and her partner. You told him you would try to remember everyone’s names, but you made no promises.
It was all a bit overwhelming to meet everyone all at once, but you felt like you were welcomed with open arms, regardless of what Eddie had told them about you.
You’d lost Eddie halfway through the evening. Naturally, the men and women separated into their separate groups.
“So tell me about Eddie when he was in high school.” You smirked into your iced tea glass. Everyone else had been drinking tonight, but your stomach was feeling off, probably due to the nerves of meeting everyone tonight.
“Oh, he was a TOTAL dork,” Robin giggled.
“Not much of a jock, I’m assuming?” you asked, giggling with her.
“No, no, but he was a charming guy,” Nancy spoke. “a bit eccentric.”
“No, very eccentric,” Robin corrected with a laugh.
“But he was always looking out for his friends, sucking up for others, like my brother Mike” Nancy nodded over to the guys who were surrounding the BBQ.
Robin was someone you gravitated toward the most; she was funny and spunky, and you totally understood why she fell for Nancy. Nancy was kind, warm and not to mention gorgeous.
This made you smile to know he always had a genuine heart.
“Sounds bout right,” you sigh.
Eddie couldn’t break the smile that spread across his face the second you two walked in the door. He was so smitten and very excited to show you off. He finally found his person; all of his hometown friends had settled down for years, getting married in their 20s and having a normal life in the suburbs. He felt like he was finally able to settle down with you. He had already settled down while raising VR but always missed his partner.
“How did you manage to swing a girl like that, Eds? She has to be half your age,” Steve asks, nodding his head in your direction.
“She is thirty,” Eddie corrected him, but he knew Steve was only pulling his leg.
“He’s a famous rockstar now, remember! Not the same nerd from Hawkins High,” Dustin laughed.
Eddie gave him a stern look. Sure, they were all grown up, but Eddie still saw them as his little sheep.
“Com’on, dude! It’s been so long since we busted your balls,” Lucas said, wrapping an arm around Eddie's shoulder.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever y’all are just jealous.” Eddie rolled his eyes, smirking before taking a sip of beer.
“We are happy for you, dude,” Steve smiled. “You seem much better when she is around. You sound alive again.” He flipped a steak on the grill.
“Well, my fellow brethren, thank you for everything you’ve done for me; I appreciate it.” “You're getting way too sappy for me; I thought I was standing with the men.” Mike laughed.
The evening was ending; the lot of you were all snuggled up by the bonfire in the backyard of the Harrington residents.
“So… what do you prefer to be called? Your actual name or Angel?” Steve inquired.
“Whatever you prefer, to be honest, I like both.” You smiled.
“Well, I’m calling you Angel,” Robin piped up, “It's cute,” she smiled.
“It’s all Eddie ever refers to you as; I had no idea it was you he was speaking of when he told us he was bringing a lady friend,” Steve smirked.
“She’s not just a lady friend; she is his girlfriend,” Dustin chimed in with a grin.
“Well, whatever you are, we are happy you’re here; it’s about time someone tied this one down.” Steve tilted his beer bottle up to toast.
“Thank you for having me; I’m so happy to meet all of you. Eddie has told me wonderful things about all of you.” You smiled, reaching for Eddie’s hand.
“Awe shucks, bud. Are you getting all mushy on us?” Steve laughs.
“Zip it, Harrington,” Eddie said, teasingly pointing a finger.
“What? I’m just saying… The last time we saw you with anyone was Chrissy... and that was twenty years ago!” He clapped. Steve was drunk.
Your body tenses and tired to laugh, but up at the thought of Eddie with another girl made you feel icky.
“Yeah, well, I haven’t found anyone close to how Angel makes me feel, so I don’t care how long it took her to find me.” Eddie kissed your cheek with a wet smack.
Steve cringed at how gushy his friend was, but the ladies fawned over it. They were so happy Eddie finally found his person. They had multiple discussions about how they were worried for his well-being when he started partying again.
“You both are the cutest. How did you rekindle things? Eddie told us you dated in the past. Nancy spoke.
You told them about how you caught VR in the club and dragged her home, and the rest was history.
The evening wrapped up around midnight. The car ride home was quiet but not uncomfortable.  Eddie held your hand the whole ride home with a slight smile. Your heart was warm; Eddie had really good people in his life.

"When do yous two plan on hitting the road?" Wayne asked a few days after your arrival.
"Trying to kick us out, old man? We just got here," Eddie laughed.
"No, boy, I just gotta know how much food to buy at the store." He huffed.
"Well, we will stay for four more days and head out on the 7th.
Wait? Did Eddie just say the 7th was in four days? That can't be right. You open your phone to look at your calendar. Shit.
You excuse yourself calmly to go to the bathroom.
You lock the door behind you and open your period tracker app. You were six days late. Okay, no need to panic. The last time you had unprotected sex was... almost every night for the past two weeks... You tried to think back; he pulled out nearly every time. But there was the first night you rekindled the flame; he definitely didn't pull out then… okay. Focus. You’re 30 and not getting any younger, your career is at its peak, and you’re with the man you want to be with forever. Growing your and Eddie’s baby inside you made your heart flutter. Maybe a baby wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
You decided to wait a few more days for your period to come just in case it was a fluke. You also didn’t want to take a pregnancy test in Wayne’s house, so you waited until you returned to LA.
You went out of the bathroom and decided not to tell Eddie anything until you knew for sure. Your mind was racing with all the possibilities. You tried to reel it back in the best you could and engage with the rest of them, but the last few days of the trip have been full of fantasies of a mini-you running around.
🎸𖤐𝄞💿𓆩🎧𓆪 🎸𖤐𝄞💿
When you got home from Indiana, the first thing you did was have your assistant rush to the drugstore. The last thing you needed was to have you papped buying a pregnancy test before you told Eddie anything. It sat on your bathroom counter, taunting you. You were so scared, so nervous about what could be.
You waited a few days before building up the courage to face reality because your period still hadn’t made its appearance.
It was six o’clock in the evening, and you had just gotten home from the studio. You had a productive day; you got about 4 songs finished and recorded for the new album coming out in 3 months. You were feeling good about your progress in the studio, and something in you told you to take the test.
You tried your best to distract yourself in the fifteen minutes for the test to be complete. The longest fifteen minutes of your life were waiting for the results; the second your phone timer went off, you ran back to the bathroom to check the test that sat on the vanity.
With shaking hands, you lifted it up to your face to see the very prominent plus sign marking the test positive. With a gasp, you felt your stomach erupt in those oh-so-familiar butterflies. You were happy, so happy, you were having a baby! Tears of joy escaped from your tear ducts. You couldn’t believe the news. How are you going to tell Eddie? Would he want to keep it? Would he stay with you? It was so soon; less than two months passed since you had gotten back together. How was VR going to react?! Oh god, you were just getting back in her good graces, this could screw up everything.
The next day, you got an appointment with your doctor; thankfully, they had an opening. They did the blood test, and a day later, they called you to confirm the news that you had been about 3 weeks along.
You let out the breath you had been holding when you picked up the phone.
You thanked them and hung up with a shaky hand. The first thing you did was sit and think about your future. You wanted to keep this baby no matter what Eddie's decision will be. You hadn’t booked a tour for this album release yet. You had a meeting with your team next month about it, but would let them know that it would have to be put on hold for now. You hugged your stomach as you thought about how you had not only yourself to think about. You were excited yet terrified all at the same time.
You were off in your own little baby world the next few days. You had called your mom to tell her because you could no longer keep the secret to yourself.  She was so ecstatic, she cried happy tears, and she called your dad on the phone. She soothed your worries about having to tell Eddie. She reassured you that even if he didn’t want to be a part of the baby's life, she would be there for you, but she also reminded you how he raised a baby all on his own because he could never give up a child. That settled your nerves a bit, but you were still scared out of your wits.
You spent the afternoon talking to her, brainstorming ways of how you would tell Eddie. Your mom and you thought it would be cute to give him a custom onesie that said “Corroded Coffins smallest fan.” You go on ordering that immediately; you don’t want to keep the secret any longer.

You were in Eddie’s bedroom getting unready after your dinner date; you hadn’t been feeling the best because of the baby. The nausea had been coming in waves, and Eddie knew you were not feeling the best. Oblivious to what was happening, you told him it was the stress of getting the album done.
Eddie told you he picked up some ginger tablets because he knew Gravol made you too sleepy.
“Baby, where are the tablets you bought? My stomach needs to settle,” you asked as you removed your earrings.
“Uh, check the night stand,” he called over his shoulder, disappearing into the walk-in closet.
You made your way over to his side of the bed and found nothing but an old copy of Lord of the Rings, a vibrator, and the box of condoms you were supposed to be using; bit too late for that now…
You then walked to the bedside table on your side of the bed. That made more sense; he would put it on your side for you.
You opened the drawer, and your heart felt like it stopped.
“What is this?” Your voice cracked.
“What’s what, Sugar?” You could hear the smirk in his voice.
Your hands trembled as you picked up the small velvet box sitting there wide open for you to see. A diamond ring. It was not just any diamond ring but a pink 4-karat cushion cut with white diamond clusters on the side, staring you in the face. It was beautiful.
This man could not be serious? This is not how he was proposing to you?
You felt like you were moving in slow motion as you turned toward Eddie. Tears were threatening to rim your eyes; man, being pregnant really does heighten your hormones.
Eddie was in the walk-in closet undressing for the evening, and when you didn’t respond to his question, he was confused, so he poked his head out while pulling on his black sweatpants.
To Eddie’s surprise, you held the one thing that had taunted him over the past four years. He had forgotten about it since you came back into his life. How could he be so stupid? Of course, you found it!
“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit,” Eddie ran over to you in a panic. He tried to swipe it from you, but you pulled your hand away.
“Answer me, Eddie, what is this?”
“A ring,” Eddie answered matter of factly.
“I know it's a ring, Eddie, don’t play with me right now. What is this?” You tried to keep your voice from cracking again.
With a deep sigh, Eddie folded an arm over his chest and pinched his brow before letting his head fall back, trying to think of a way to explain.
“It’s an engagement ring, Princess.” He reached out to your free hand. You let him. “You weren’t supposed to find it.” He sighed.
“I wasn’t supposed to find the engagement ring left wide open on my side of the bed?” You cocked your head. He had to be joking? So this isn’t how he was proposing?
“God no, Angel! You think this is how I wanted to propose to you?” He shook his head with disbelief.
“Then why is it sitting in there out in the open for me to find!” You didn’t know what to think; was this even meant for you? Are you jumping to conclusions? “Oh my god, it’s not for me, is it? Fuck I’m so stupid” You shoved the box into Eddie’s hands and ran into the ensuite bathroom.
“Angel, wait!” Eddie called out to you but your emotions were sighted by one thousand, and you shut the door in his face before he could follow you.
“Baby, please let me in; I’ll explain everything. Just let me see my pretty girl.” Eddie cooed through the black wooden door.
You stood there for a moment, unsuccessfully holding back your tears. You didn’t feel pretty, your mascara was running, your stomach was still doing flip-flops, and you looked boated.
“No,” you refused.
“Come on now, sweetheart, don’t be like this. I’ll tell you everything.” Eddie watched the doorknob like he was trying to unlock it with his mind. To his surprise, it twisted. You stepped out, walking right past him no less, as you crawled into bed and pulled the duvet over your head.
Eddie rolled his eyes at your dramatics. You really could be such a brat, but he knew better than to poke the bear right now.
“Come out from under there, please, so I can talk to you?” Eddie stroked your arm from above the blanket. He didn’t get a worded response, just a muffled grumble.
“Let me talk to you, pretty girl, don’t act like a child.  Another muffled, grumbled response was made, and he could have sworn you said something about acting however you want because you’re having his child, but it was so muffled he swore that he was just hearing things.
Eddie tried again, then realized you were not coming up, so he would have to go in. You tried pulling the covers closer to you, but his grip was much stronger than yours. He snuggled in the bed, but you turned to face the other way.
Eddie could not believe your behaviour right now.
“Don’t make me take you over my knee, little one,” he seductively whispered in your ear.
He could not be serious right now?
“Eddie, don’t,” you huffed.
“Then quit being a brat and let me talk to you.” he pulled you into him so he was spooning you.
“You tried to wiggle away, but his strong arm held you in place. You decided to give up and let him talk. The sooner he spoke, the sooner you could escape this stifling heat trap you had created for yourself.
“What do you want to know?” He kissed your shoulder as one hand trailed lightly up and down the side of your thigh.
“Everything.” You whispered with a light sniffle.
“Yes, the ring was for you, and no, you were not supposed to find it like that... It's been sitting on that side of the bed for years, taunting me, and I never had the heart to throw it away.” Years? You wanted to cut him off and ask, but you let him continue. “ I had this whole thing planned to put in Italy. You remember?” he cleared his throat. Fuck “Obviously, that didn’t work out like I had hoped. I had forgotten it was there over these past few months because it was no longer a reminder of sad memories. I don’t know why I didn’t move it when we got back together; honestly, I just didn’t think about it. You were never supposed to see it… well, not never…”
You took a moment to process, then slowly turned around to face Eddie. You placed a hand on his cheek and leaned in to kiss him. You didn’t know what this meant for the both of you now, but the idea of being engaged made you extremely happy.
“I love you, Eddie.” You whispered as you pulled back.
“So we are okay?” He nuzzled his nose against yours.
“Yeah, I think so,” you nod.
“Good, because I must punish you for being such a brat now.” Eddie threw up the blankets and pulled you over his lap before you knew what was happening.
“NO, we can’t hut the baby!” you shouted, not thinking.
Eddie’s hand froze mid-air before it could come down on your bottom.
You covered your mouth, realizing what you had just said as Eddie pulled you back up from his lap.
“What did you just say?” Eddie's eyes were wild while scanning your tummy back up to your face.
“I’m pregnant,” you spilled softly.
“You’re- you- you’re? A baby?” Eddie pointed to your tummy.
“This is not how I planned on telling you,” you groaned into your hands before looking up at Eddie, who had the brightest smile on his face.
“You’re having a baby?” His large hand spread across your lower stomach. You place your hand over his and nod yes.
“We are having a baby!!” Eddie shot up out of bed and pumped his fists as he ran around the room in excitement. You couldn’t help but laugh; this was the best reaction you could have hoped for.
“When did you find out?” He ran back over to your side of the bed.
 “Um, not long, about two weeks ago…”
“Two weeks?! Why didn’t you tell me?” He places a gentle hand over your tummy.
“I was scared… and I was waiting for the gift to come in the mail to help tell you.” You looked down as you started picking at your nails.
“Scared?” Eddie cupped the side of your face.
“We are so new, and I didn't know if you wanted to be committed to me like that after everything from our past and-”
“No.” Eddie shook his head, cutting you off. “We aren’t doing that; this is the best news I could have ever asked for.” He leaned in to kiss you. “I love you,” another kiss. “I love you,” he moved down to your neck. Kissing you between each sentence. “You’re going to be the best momma… and now I’m going to have to take extra good care of my girl and baby.” Eddie couldn’t hold back his smile.
Your skin tingled as Eddie made his way down your body with more kisses. You moaned from how his lips brushed so lightly against your skin. Everything had been heightened now that you were pregnant. Every touch, every kiss, every graze was like a bolt of lightning shooting down your body and straight to your clit.
You moaned his name as he sucked on your neck. His hands gently pushed you up on the pillows resting on the headboard.
“Have to treat my girl extra special now.” He whispered as he travelled down your body. His strong hands travelled down to the hem of your dress and wasted no time getting you naked.
“Have to treat this pussy right; it’s going to be giving me the best gift in the world.” He kissed your clit over your panties, and your body jerked. This was the first time you’ve had sex since finding out the news. Your morning sickness had been taking over any time you were with Eddie. You won’t be up for it.
Your body was so much more reactive, and Eddie noticed. Oh, he was going to have so much fun.
“You like that, Princess?” He stroked his index finger down your clothed slit before hooking a finger under the gusset and pulling them down in one swift motion.
“Yes,” you panted.
“Look at that,” Eddie said as he parted your legs. He ran a calloused fingertip through your slick. You grabbed his wrist when he got to your clit.
“Too much,” you whimpered. It felt like your body was on fire.
Eddie crawled back up to kiss you; it was soft and tender. His hand trailed up from your centre to your breasts. He cupped one over your bra and massaged gently as you ground your core into his thigh.
“I can’t wait to worship this body,” Eddie spoke into your mouth.
You let out a soft moan when Eddie pulled down the cups of your bra and latched his mouth onto your extra-sensitive nipple. Your hips hadn’t stopped moving. Your clit was throbbing as you ground your hips up and down his clothed thigh. Eddie let you use his leg to release the pressure that kept building and building in your lower stomach. The added pleasure of Eddie’s mouth on your peaked bud made your orgasm come faster than ever before. It didn’t take much before you were letting out silent screams.
“Poor little thing, coming already? Eddie loved this. He was eating it up.
“Please, please.” You didn’t even know what you were begging for? You were so sensitive, but you needed to feel Eddie or else you would explode.
“There there little one, Daddy’s got you,” he cooed.
“Daddy?” You questioned still in your fucked out haze.
Eddie never referred himself to Daddy in bed, only Sir.
“Yes. Daddy. ‘Nd you’re Mommy.”
Was it weird? Yes. Were you arguing? No. It only turned you on even more.
“Now stop thinking and let Daddy take care of you.”
He aligned his hardened shaft with your dripping hole.
It slipped in without any resistance; you felt every inch, every vein, and especially those glorious silver balls perched at the end of his shaft graze your g spot.
“Oh my,” you whispered.
“Aww, look at that little pussy clenching,” he pulled out before spreading you open again and again.
Eddie wasn’t going at his usual pace; he knew it was silly, but he didn’t want to hurt the baby. He saw that you were so sensitive enough that he didn’t need to.
He rocked his hips to push in and out of you slowly and methodically.
“More,” you whimpered, trying to gyrate your hips against his to create more friction!  Eddie pinned your hips down.
“Nuh'uh, don’t fight it.” He threw your legs over his shoulders and leaned in so you folded in half.
“Please,” you begged. You were so fucked out you just needed to feel every bit of him.
“My poor little one.” he mocked before reaching his hand down to massage your swollen bud. “Can’t do anything about it, can you?” He was such an ass.
“Please Eddie, I-I-”
“Oh, I think my cock got you so stupid. It’s not Eddie, baby girl.” He stopped all movement.
“Daddy, please!” You were on the verge of tears at this point. You were so overstimulated. Every stroke, every brush, every breath was overwhelming you.
“There’s my smart girl.” Eddie bent down to kiss you as his hips thrust into you so deeply that you saw stars. Your body felt like it left and went to another dimension.
“Keep coming, baby, that’s it.” Eddie didn’t let up. He continued to pound into your cunt until he was spilling himself inside of you. For the first time, Eddie wasn’t worried about him cum filling you up.
“That’s it. Take it all. You’re my little cum dumpster. Going to fill you get you pregnant all over again.”
You were too fucked out to realize what he was saying didn’t make any sense.
You came back down to reality a few minutes later. You were curled up on Eddie’s chest. You could feel the rise and fall of his lungs as the room was filled with heavy pants until Eddie spoke up.
“I wasn’t too much, was I?” Eddie was worried, worried about hurting you or the baby. You shook your head no in response.
“How did this happen?” Eddie questioned.
“What? The baby?” You quipped.
“Yeah, I thought it was like impossible to get pregnant with an IUD?” He crunched his face, trying to think.
Shit.
“I took it out…” you admit. No use lying to him.
“You- you took it out? What? When?” Eddie was shocked.
“I had it taken out over a year ago because I thought it was aiding my depression, you know… hormones and all that.” You bite your lip with anticipation.
“Baby…” he trailed off.
“I’m okay now, I swear. I’m doing a lot better,” you promised.
“You promise to tell me if you ever feel like that again, OK?”
“Yes, Sir.” You playfully reply. “Oh, that’s how it's going to be?” He raises a brow at you. “I’m trying to have a serious conversation with the mother of my child, and you wanna be a brat?” His fingers started trailing up your sides, tickling your middle.
“Eddie, stop!” You laugh, but he doesn’t let up. He continues until you’re almost in tears. When he finally gives in, it hits you what he said minutes earlier. You’re the mother of his child. Unborn but still yours nonetheless.
“I’m going to be a mommy.” You whisper more to yourself than anyone.
“Yeah, you are.” Eddie’s face lit up like a Christmas tree.

“You two are so gross,” Violet Rose said as she entered the kitchen the next morning.
“Huh?” You questioned before taking a bite of the scrambled egg Eddie had made for you
“I don’t ever want to hear your nightly activities ever again." she shuttered.
You felt all the blood drain from your face as you froze from the words she spoke.
“Oh god, oh god, oh god,” you mumbled under your breath, trying to hide your face in your hands. How mortifying!
“Mornin’ Cupcake,” Eddie walked back into the kitchen as Violet grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
“So gross,” VR cringed and walked away without another word.
“Hey! You’re still grounded, don’t forget. I don’t need the snarky comments,” he called after her, clueless about what she might have heard the night prior.
“Baby, you might have to end her punishment early… she has suffered enough.” You try not to laugh, but it was so uncomfortable you don’t know how to react.
“What?” Eddie looked back at you.
“She heard us…last night.” you cringe.
“She knows about the baby?” He tilted his head.
“No, not the baby,” you chuckle.
“You mean?” Eddie’s eyes went wide at the realization. No wonder she called him gross.
“Oh god! No, no, no, shit, shit, shit, shit.”
“Baby, it will be okay.” You tried to console him.
“Okay? It’s not okay! Probably scarred her for the rest of her life!” He brushed his hands down his face. “She shouldn’t even know what sex is! She’s a baby, my baby!” Eddie was spiralling.
“She snuck into a club with a fake ID and was with a man twice her age when I found her... hate to break it to you, but she knows what sex is, babe.” You stroke his back, trying to calm him down.
“She was with who now?” Eddie's face went beat red. Shit. You’d forgotten you hadn’t disclosed that part of the night you found VR at The Red Bottom's.
“Shhhh shhhhh, it's okay. She got her punishment; she knows what she did was wrong. We are finally getting somewhere with her; let's not ruin it by reminding her of her mistakes.” You cooed.
“Yea, yea, you’re right,” He sighed.
“Poor kid,” you shake your head.
“When do you want to tell her?” Eddie pulled you in by your oversized t-shirt.
“You think we should tell her now? She is old enough. I don’t wanna keep any more secrets from her.” You wrap your arms around Eddie’s neck.
“Yeah, I think so too.” Eddie landed his forehead on yours. You were about to kiss when Violet Walked back into the room.
“Oh god! Get a room!” She covered her eyes like she was in physical pain.
“Sweetheart, come here. We have to share something important.” Eddie patted the bar stool that was beside him.
“Do I have to? I could be doing, I don’t know, algebra homework or something.” She rolled her eyes.
“Come, sit” Eddie used that commanding voice that made your pussy tingle.
“We have some news. Exciting news.”  Eddie emphasized when he wrapped his arm around your waist.
“You want to tell her, or should I?” Eddie asked as he looked at you.
“Um, you can tell her, baby” You smiled. You were very nervous about what her reaction would be. You had just broken the surface of making up with her.
“You are going to be a big sister.” Eddie smiled brightly.
A few seconds of silence pass before what Eddie said hits Violet Rose. “Shut up!” Violet’s face emulated her father’s as his mouth parted into a toothy smile.
Well, that was better than expected…
“You’re having a baby!” She jumped up and embraced you in a hug. Tears of joy rose in your eyes, and you nodded.
“Yeah,” You whispered.
“Holy shit!” Violet was ecstatic. Now, this really meant you were here for good! You wouldn’t leave her and her father. She finally felt like things would be okay.
“So you’re okay with this?” You ask with a quivering lip. God, pregnancy really made you a crybaby.
“Yes! Omg we have to go shopping! We can get all the baby clothes and, oh, the nursery! We can decorate it; I have so many ideas! I saw one Pinterest the other day that was just the cutest! Oh, and we can do a baby shower! And a gender reveal party! But not those lame ones with the smoke or balloon ones that are horrible for the environment- ” She rambled on.
“Whoah, slow down Cupcake”  Eddie cut her off. “We just found out, so you can’t tell anyone yet; it’s too early.”
“How far along are you?” She bounced up and down on her toes.
“Five weeks.” You smile.
“Oh, I'm so excited. I love you guys.” She hooked her arms around your and Eddie’s necks.
That was the first time you heard her tell you that since she was eleven. The waterworks were starting up again. You’d finally felt like a family again.

Eddie, Violet Rose and you had lived in your little bubble for the past two months. Things with VR were so much better; she was opening up to you like she used to and trusting you more than ever. Eddie had also asked you to move in with him.
Even though you loved your little bungalow, having the four of you living there wasn't practical. Eddie’s had so much more space and was always a home to you in the time you’ve known him. You’d convinced Eddie to start redecorating just a little bit. However, you told him the house needed to be brighter. So after some negotiations (letting Eddie do filthy things to you), you got your way and painted the walls lighter. It made the house look so much more significant. Violet cheered when you told her the dungeon she lived in would be given a facelift.
Today, Eddie and Violet Rose and you were out furniture shopping. You’d wanted to fix the bedroom to make it yours and Eddie’s rather than just Eddie’s. Eddie was fine with anything as long as you were happy. You’d also come across some cribs and changing tables in the store that you loved and marked down to save for the future.
After hours of looking, you were starving, so you went to lunch at your favourite spot.
Word was starting to spread that you and Eddie had gotten back together. You both hadn’t officially announced anything, but you had been spotted out in public a few times, and the wind was picking up in the tabloids about the both of you, so you were grateful when the restaurant wasn’t bustling.
“The baby is still hungry,” You wined as the waiter walked away with empty plates.
“Holy shit!” Violet Rose squealed out of nowhere.
“What?!” You ask.
“Oh my god, I can't believe that's her!” Violet half whispered. She didn’t get excited about celebrities; she grew up with them, so why was she freaking out about this one?
You look at Eddie and see all the blood drain from his face.
“What is it?” You grab his hand.
“Eddie, is that you?” You heard a sickly, sweet voice approach the table.
You cannot believe who is standing before you as you look to your right.
“Sarafina, uh, hi- it’s been a while.” He stuttered as she wrapped herself around your boyfriend.
“Wait, you two know one another? Dad! why didn’t you tell me?” Violet chastised.
You watched as Sarafina’s face shot towards her daughters.
“This must be Violet Rose.” She smiled. God, she was beautiful.
“You know my name?” Violet’s eyebrows shot up.
“Well yeah, I-” she looked to Eddie, and he subtly shook his head no. “I, uh, know your Dad; we go way back. About sixteen years, if I’m not mistaken.” She clearly was hurt by the fact Violet Rose didn’t know she was her mother.
You’d cleared your throat to take the attention off Sarafina.
“Oh, I’m being so rude. Where are my manners?” She spoke. “I’m Sarafina, and you are?”
“This is my Mom. You can call her Poppy or Angel, whatever works,” Violet Rose spoke up, and you and Eddie both wiped your heads toward her.  She hadn’t ever called you her Mom before? “Uh yea, whatever works? It’s very nice to meet you.” You stuck out your hand as a gesture. She didn’t take it.
“Mom? You’re young enough to be her sister.” You knew it was a jab but weren’t sinking to that level.
“Yeah, well, she’s a great one.” Eddie grabbed your hand.
“Well, I uh- don’t want to bother you any longer on your little family day.” She cleared her throat. “It was nice seeing you, Eddie,” She nodded and then lingered on Violet Rose before she walked out of the restaurant.
“What the hell, dad!” Violet spoke as soon as she saw Sarafina exit the building.
“Violet Rose Winnifred Munson. Don’t.” Eddie never used her full name unless he meant it. So she dropped it… for now. She thought about asking you later when her dad wasn’t around.
The car ride home was quiet until Violet spoke up.
“So uh, about lunch… I think Sarafina likes you, Dad.”
“What?” He jerked the wheel a bit, making you squeak. “Sorry baby, but what are you talking about Cupcake?” He looked at her through the rearview mirror.
“She was totally all over you!”
“Is that why you called Angel your mom?” Your eyes went wide with curiosity.
“Well, yeah, partly.” She shrugged.
“Partly?” You ask, looking back at her.
“You’re more of a mom than she ever was to me.” Violet had dug into who his dad had been with around the time she was conceived. She got final confirmation when Sarafina said they’d known each other for sixteen years. It wasn’t rocket science to see the similarities in her face and her birth mother's.
Somehow Eddie managed to keep his cool while driving you safely back home before freaking out. The three of you exited the car, and Eddie walked over to Violet Rose. As you watched him engulf his daughter in a suffocating hug, you couldn’t help but sniffle. Damn you, baby hormones.
“I want you to know how special you are. You are so brave, smart, loving, and funny, and I’m not just saying that because I’m your Dad, okay?” He kissed the side of her head and pulled away.
“Thanks, Dad. But can I ask…. Why didn’t you tell me?” She asked as you all walked back into the house.
“Because Cupcake, I know what it’s like to not be wanted by the people who are supposed to love you the most. And I did not want that for you, ever. Growing up, I couldn’t have you seeing that woman everywhere, knowing she asked not to be a part of your life.” Eddie sighed.
“I love you, Dad, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing. I kinda just wanna call Charlotte and tell her what’s happening.” She made her way to the staircase.
“I’m just going to ask that you ask her not to say anything. I know she won’t, but Sarafina asked that no one knew… that’s part of why I didn’t tell you, kiddo. But you have every right to talk about it… it’s your life, too.” Eddie sighed.
“Thanks, Dad.” Violet turned and walked up the stairs.
“You’re a good Dad.” You turned to hug Eddie once VR was out of sight.
“It’s so hard sometimes.” He nuzzled his head into your neck.
“But you have me now; you don’t have to do this alone anymore.” You stroked his head.
“God, I love you.” He leaned in for a deep kiss.

You told Roger and your team you were pregnant a week ago. You were starting to show and couldn't really hide the bump anymore. It's been over three months, and your doctor said the baby was healthy, so it was okay to start telling people.
Roger was excited, more than enthusiastic; he had ideas on pregnancy announcements. He insisted on a People Magazine cover to announce your and Eddie’s relationship plus the Baby. You’d let him know you would run it by Eddie, but it seemed like he didn’t have a choice.
“I don’t know about this Princess,” Eddie snuggled you while laying in bed, getting ready to sleep.
“Come on baby, it could be good for us, like really good! No more sneaking around. I can finally stop worrying about people finding out, and it will probably up record sales.” You stroked his tattooed-clad chest.
“I hate photoshoots; they’re so long, and I always get so cranky and hungry-”
“Hangry.”
“Yea, that… and what about you? I don’t want you on your feet that long.”
“Who says I’ll be on my feet?” you tease. “I’ll probably be in nothing but a sheet, baby. I’ll have to show my little bump, and you can be there with me while I’m practically naked…. Or I can do the same without you and just make it all about me.” you shrug, knowing that won’t fly.
“No way in hell I’m letting you be naked in a room with a bunch of men without me.” Eddie huffed.
“Okay, then it’s settled. You’re doing it.” you kiss his cheek and roll over to turn out the light. You could feel Eddie roll his eyes, and you snuggled back into his chest.

The magazine cover came out when you were five months along. Your baby bump was more prominent now than on the shoot day. You could finally show it off without worrying about hiding your tummy anymore. It felt like a weight had been lifted from your shoulders.
“Can’t believe it's finally public,” you sighed. You were in the living room hanging out with Violet Rose.
“Me too! Now I can finally tell people I will be a big sister!” She applauded. “You think it will be a boy or girl?” She asked.
“I don’t know yet. I thought I would have a feeling by now, but honestly, I’m unsure.” You rubbed your tummy.
“Too bad you guys are waiting; I would have planned the best gender reveal party…”  she sighed.   “Speaking of parties.” Violet Rose hesitated, knowing she couldn’t be trusted with going out after being busted. “Charlotte is having a birthday party tonight, and I was hoping you could help me get ready?”
“And where is this party being held?” You question.
“At her house, her parents will be there; it is totally supervised, I swear.” She crossed her heart.
“And your Dad knows you’re going?” You question.
“Yes, I already spoke to him. I’m sleeping there, so you don’t have to pick me up either.
“Of course, I’ll help you get ready,” you smile.
You were sat in Violet’s room in a pile of clothing. She was freaking out about what she should wear. Then, after you figured out her outfit, you would help her with her hair and makeup.
“Ugh! I'm never going to find anything cute enough!” She cried.
“This is so cute. Wear this!” You pull a black minidress out of the pile she had thrown at you.
“I wore that last time!” She wined.
You looked at the clock; it was only 5:00 pm; thank god you had three hours to help her get ready.
“Come, let’s look in my closet…” you waved her over to follow you to your room.
After settling on one of your outfits, you returned to her room to do her hair and makeup.
“So any particular reason you are freaking out?” You laugh while blending her bronzer.
“I’m not freaking out,” She huffed.
You give her a knowing look.
“Okay, fine. My crush will be there, and I wanted to look nice for them…” She sighed.
“Oh, a crush! Do tell.” You wiggled your brows at her. You were so excited she was finally opening up to you again.
“uh… well.” Violet hesitated.
“It’s okay, baby, you can tell me,” you reassured her.
“It’s Char.” She looked down, avoiding eye contact.
“Oh?” You were taken aback a little; you didn’t think she would be crushing on her new best friend.
“I, uh. I like both boys and girls.” She twiddled with her thumb. You could tell hoe nervous she was, but you were so happy she opened up.
“Can I tell you a secret? You lifted her chin so you could continue doing her face. “I like boys and girls too.” You smiled. Not many people knew about your preferences. However, it felt right to let her know she wouldn’t be judged by you.
“What?” Violet Rose’s eyes brightened.
You nod your head to confirm.
“Does Dad know?” She asked.
“Yeah, I told him when we first started the whole fake dating thing.” You shrugged.
“Cool,” she half whispered.
“So tell me more.” You smile, reaching for the eyeshadow brush.
“Well she is really pretty, and smart, and funny, and we get along so well. I feel like she’s my other half.” She sighed.
“Do you know if she likes girls too?”
“No” her shoulders sunk.
“Well, she would be crazy not to like you back if she does.”
“You think so?” She looked up at you with those chocolate eyes.
“Now, don’t take this the wrong way because I do not condone what you did at the club, but you pulled that guy, didn’t you? You’re beautiful. Your mom’s a supermodel, and you’re funny, charismatic, and kind.” You tell her.
“She’s not my mom…” She shook her head.
“You know what I mean-”
“You are,” she cut you off.
“Ohhhh, don’t you do this to me now!” You jokingly threaten as you try to hold back the waterworks.
“Pop, I'm sorry I keep forgetting how the baby makes you emotional.” She giggled.
You sniffle a bit and pull it together to continue her eye makeup.
“Anyway… I hope I figure out what to do.” She sighs.
“Have you told your dad?” You ask, moving on to her hair.
“No,” she shakes her head.
“Okay, I won’t say anything until you're ready to tell him yourself.” You smile at her from your reflection in the mirror.
“Thanks, Mom,” she said with a slight grin.
“Okay, you’ll have to give me a minute.” You walked to her night side table to get a tissue while she laughed in her vanity chair.
*knock knock knock*
“What’s going on in here?” Eddie walked in to see you crying and Violet Rose laughing.
“She *sniffle* called *sniffle* me *sniffle* Mom.” The dam broke; you couldn’t help it. You had been overcome with so much love.
“Oh, Angel, come here.” Eddie wrapped his arms around you. He smiled over your shoulder to VR and waved her over. You felt another pair of arms wrap around your shoulder from behind.
“God, you Munsons are so mushy,” You spoke into Eddie's chest. Your body shook as the both of them giggled around you.
“Don’t tell anyone we have an image to uphold.” Eddie smiled.
“I don’t think anyone is going to be calling you a bad boy after that magazine cover” VR cackled.
“You’re on thin ice missy, I can make you stay home.” Eddie threatened.
“Oh baby you can’t do that! We put in hours of work!” You patted your tear-stained cheeks.
“Fine, I can’t say no to you.” he kissed the tip of your nose.
“OK, people, I have one hour left. I need my hair finished!” She rushed back to the straightening iron.
“Okay okay” You laughed. “Let’s get you picture perfect.”

Eddie had it all planned out for months. He had consulted Violet Rose on proposal ideas. She suggested a pamper day.  He was taking you on a lovely day out, and you were getting a maternity massage, then getting your nails and hair done. Then he would take you shopping if you weren’t too tired before he took you home to cook a nice dinner. After dinner, he would pop the question.
Violet Rose planned a sleepover so you could have the house to yourself. She didn’t want a repeat of the last time she heard about your extracurricular activities.
When Eddie told you of your plans today, he wasn’t surprised at your shocked reaction. You were seven months pregnant, and he told you it was because you’d been working so hard to finish your album. The release date was pushed back because you felt the songs weren’t working. Eddie told you that the stress wasn’t good for the baby and you needed a day for yourself.
Eddie went with you to every appointment. He also got himself a massage while you had yours. He sat and waited for you while your nails and hair were done without a peep.
You told him you would go shopping another day; your feet were swollen and still bothering you. You went home and took a nap, and when you woke up, Eddie had placed your favourite slippers by the bed so you didn’t have to step on the cold floor. He also placed your favourite maternity dress out for you next to a note that said to get ready for your date.
You could smell something delicious from the kitchen when you stepped out of the bedroom. As you rounded the corner, you saw a candle-lit dinner ready and plated waiting for you.
“Baby, what’s this?” You ask, seeing Edie put the final touches on the table.  Eddie turned and smiled. Fuck he looked so good tonight. Eddie was also dressed up. He wore the same black silk shit he wore the first time the two of you met, paired with a nice pair of black dress pants and a classic understated black belt.
“Morning, sleepyhead,” Eddie greeted you with a kiss.
“You try growing a person and see how tired you get,” You giggle, walking towards your chair.
Eddie steps over to pull it out for you. Forever your gentleman.
“Thank you, baby. What's all this?” You asked as he scooted you in.
“Can’t a man take care of his perfect, beautiful woman?” He smirks.
“What did you do?” You ask. He is being suspicious.
“Now, why would I have had to do something to treat the woman I love?” He raises his brow to you.
“Don’t know? I feel like you’re doing so much for me today; I’m surprised.” You take a sip of the water he poured you.
“Well, the night is still young, cheers.” Eddie held up his glass.
Eddie pulled you out to the yard for fresh air after your meal. The backyard was decked out in what seemed to be hundreds of twinkle lights. There was a gazebo in the back by the pond that you liked to read in. He led you towards it and saw it covered in plush blankets and pillows.
“Eddie, what’s all this?” You whispered in amazement. Eddie had a team come in and set everything up while the two of you were running your errands.
“Come,” he held your hand as he helped you up the steps.
“Angel…” Eddie took a deep breath.
“Yes?” You looked up at him, and he swore your eyes twinkled.
“I have loved you from the moment you flirted with me at your show. I never knew someone could make me feel this way, and honestly, I didn’t believe in love because I had never found it until I met you. I never want to lose you again.  You are the light of my life, my everything. You own my soul. I never have and never will stop loving you.” He knelt down on one knee.
Your hand flew up to your mouth when he pulled out the ring you found a few months ago.
“Will you spend the rest of forever with me?”
Your hands shook as he pulled the ring out of the box and slid it up your finger.
“See, it was always meant for you. I just got it a little too early,” he smirked.
You crouch over as much as you can with your belly and pull him in for a deep kiss.
“So, is that a yes?” Eddie pulled away.
“You’re sure you want this baby? You want me forever? Us forever?” You cupped your lower stomach.
“Of course, baby, I’ve wanted you forever.” he cupped your face with both hands.
“So?”
“Yes, Eddie, I’ll marry you,” you smile.
Eddie let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
“You sure you wanna be stuck with me forever?” Eddie chuckled.
“Yes” you cupped your hands over his.
“Good, because I’m never letting you go ever again.”

note: Hello! Sorry for the long wait.
I originally planned to write Part 7 first. but decided to write Part 0 as a special chapter since I've hit a hundred followers. But by the time I finished, we hit 150. Thank you lots!!
There is less romance on this one, since it's a prequel to Part 1 of Certainly Yours. I originally wanted to incorporate a rivalry or an initial animosity between reader and Soshiro. So this was my best attempt on the subject.
There is a lot more interaction and inner pining because it's still in the initial stages in the relationship. And I had a difficult time cross referencing B-side manga with the things I've already written thus far. I’m disappointed we don't really have much information on Soichiro. And I have big plans to incorporate him in a separate part in much more excruciating detail later down the line. Involving jealousy..
Anyways. For now, I shall write Part 7 and give ya'll the comfort you need. Might be the big I love you's, you're looking for. Wink wink.
Also, please tell me if I missed any warnings. None of these are proof read and my phone lags really bad when I post 9k words worth of fanfiction.
The feeling of being needed was a foreign concept that Soshiro Hoshina had never experienced for himself.
The road that he paved himself had always been a lonesome one. Carved by the very callouses of his own fingertips. Where he'd dive headfirst into the nose of a cliff filled with criticisms and comparisons. The world familiar to him had always been accompanied by a sense of mockery for his craft. A sneaky way to bury his existence in the wake of the world that had been full of firearms and expert Kaiju exterminators.
In the face of it all, he had always been frustratingly average.
Not nearly as bright as the way his older brother had burned for the adrenaline of the battlefield. The use of firearms, specialized tools and weaponry that had been modernized to slay larger than life Kaiju. Had always been stacked against him. Someone who was not born with the innate ability to tackle such large threats. His use had been chained to the blade. One so sharp and pristined to the point of no return.
For as long as he remembered, it had always been like this.
Even before he had joined the Defense Force of his own volition. He had always felt inferior in the way his brother Soichiro had bested him in every sense of the word. A genius incarnation that had rarely been born into the Hoshina family's already impressive lineage. In a family who prided themselves as generational Kaiju-slayers.
By all means, Soichiro Hoshina was the perfect man born for the front lines. His presence alone dominated the field. Any Challengers he'd face would be a place where normal people would never be able to reach.
He mastered a variety of martial arts at a young age. Already flipping over instructors each time he was paired to a battle in an attrition of self-defense.
The sword techniques passed down within the generations of his ancestors, had all been perfected to improve upon his own. His sword an extension of his arm each time he wielded it. And in terms of firearms? Soshiro couldn't begin to imagine ever reaching the height of his brother's skill. The gap between them in terms of long ranged attacks had been far too large for him to delusionally think he'd ever make it. Let alone surpass.
And although their youngest was plenty good at the progress of his own swordsmanship. Soichiro was on an entirely different level than he was.
A genius, some would call him. A fact the younger Hoshina was far too aware of.
The dust he left behind when he ran forward was often a sight Soshiro was familiar with. Sweeping him off of his feet each time he'd issue a direct challenge with his older brother.
And although he hated to admit it. Soichiro Hoshina's existence was both an inspiration and a mockery to his own.
A frustrating truth that even he had no choice but to believe.
His enigmatic older brother had always been a person who was destined to become the Captain of the sixth division. And his junior of five years, who had not excelled in anything but his skill in close quarter combat. Had all but stood in his shadow, destined to live a much ordinary life as an instructor like his family suggested.
Not a single person expected him to keep fighting.
To keep swinging that blade of his which had been both a boon and bane for his existence in the defense force.
Each humorous jab, or critical comment directed his way, had always been replied with a simple smile on his cat-like features. Far too exhausting to correct the people who had never dreamed to understand what he wished for.
And even if they never did, even if no one ever believed that he'd be able to survive the chaotic life of killing a Kaiju with a blade alone. He'd fight tooth and nail if he had to, In an effort just to keep his style of combat alive.
Because swinging the sword had always been something he found extreme joy in.
He refused to let this be the written ending for his story. Refused to let fate decide on the path to his future actions. Not when his undoing had all been decided by his unlucky birth.
Had Soshiro existed in a different era, far away from Soichiro. Things may have turned out much differently, he imagined.
But alas, he was stuck fighting. Climbing the gritty stairs of progress. Dragging the heavy weights of his blades all the way to the bloody top. And It showed in the way he never stopped practicing. His personalized equipment had always remained in top condition. The sharp end of that thinly-cut mass of iron had always been razor edged and cut-throat in the way it was maintained. Not even a dent could be seen on the damn thing.
By all means the weapon he held had always been ready. Waiting in fact, for the day Soichiro would mess up and stumble.
And for some reason? Soshiro had a feeling that day would be today.
It was their usual four round duel. An agreement between brothers who'd meet up every afternoon at the end of their respective classes for the weekday. Books packed hastily in an effort to rush home so that they could clash blades in the open spaces of their house's courtyard.
It had been a daily routine at this point.
Often, Soshiro would be the first to come home. Dropping his bag onto the floor of his bedroom and rushing to wear his hakama which had been prepped on the foot of his bed. And the moment he puts it on, he shows no hesitation when he grabs an appropriately sized bamboo blade that he kept nearest his closet.
Soichiro, who was the last to come, had always returned home with his little brother already waiting for him at their usual spot. Stance wide and ready to begin their matchup.
And although he often found his determination awe inspiring.
The older brother was far too aware of his own blood's presence. His eagerness to catch him off-guard had been made clear. Always at the ready in the case he'd make a mistake so that he could close the gap in skill between them.
And Soichiro. Who was as equally as cunning as he is. Had always been one step ahead, at the ready for any of Soshiro’s practiced attacks that even he knew could catch up to him at any moment.
Genius my ass. What's the point of being called that when your younger brother was so close to surpassing you? His progress in the blade is abnormally fast.
And to Soichiro. It was utterly terrifying.
“Yer too stiff ya’ little wimp. How do you expect to swing and hit me when that stance of yours is too rigid.” Soichiro pointed out. His chin pointed at the darker haired boy's much smaller feet. The boy hadn't even hit a growth spurt yet. And at this point he had been much taller than Soshiro's current height. His little brother barely reached the waistband of his Hakama giving him an ample advantage in build.
“Tryin’ something new. Now shut yer’ trap and let me hit ya!” Soshiro replied. The same serious look plastered on his face.
And such a challenge is met by his brother's own smirk. “Quite the yapper today aren't ya?” He laughs.
“-Fine. If you managed to hit me once, I'll let you go at me for another round. That ‘a deal?”
“Don't even need to ask.” Soshiro smirks. And with quick footwork, the boy had already reached his older brother's inner circle.
His steps were precise in the way he wasted no unnecessary limbs in his movement. In three short steps he had been faced to face with him. The tip of his bamboo sword already pointed at the very sky. Ready to strike him in the shoulder in an attempt to have him drop his own weapon. A technique he had done plenty of times to Soshiro before.
But the braided haired boy had been quicker. More experienced for his age. Foreseeing the minor tells his brother would exhibit when striking his sword down. And he wastes no time, pouncing to the side. Narrowly avoiding the heavy hand that had almost hit him on the jugular. Where he knows would've hurt.
It was done in quick succession. Soshiro didn't even have time to realize that his brother had turned on his heel. His blade held with one hand, had swept the ground to hit his very ankle. Effectively throwing him off balance. Making Soshiro yelp as he landed on his rear. Sword slipping from the tight grasp of his fingertips which had not grown enough to garner a steady grip yet.
And he could hear Soichiro’s obnoxious laughter echoing from in front of him. Slapping his leg to try and calm his breathless laughter.
“Whoops, nearly thought you had me there didn't ya?” He places his free hand over his stomach whilst he slung his sword over his shoulder. Trying not to pop a vein while laughing so hard.
And the jolly expression on his face alone had made Soshiro grit his teeth.
“Hah!? One more round and I'll make ya’ eat dirt you big bonehead.” Soshiro had replied. Already scampering about to grab his sword from the sidelines. Readying his stance for another round.
But a little known fact about Soichiro is that his interests never linger on him for too long. Only allowing the younger boy a total of four rounds per day. No more, no less. Had that number exceeded. He'd spare no glance and show disinterest on entertaining the boy no more. And his laughter soon dies down.
“Nope, No way! That's the fourth loss in a row. That's ‘bout enough for today Soshiro.” The older boy shook his head nonchalantly. Fixing up the loose strands of his braid as he turned to walk away. Uninterested now that the battle had ended quickly.
“You coward–One more round! I ain’t done with you yet!!” Soshiro yelled. But he sees the way his older brother was already kicking the wooden sandals off his feet. Walking back inside where the scorch of the afternoon sun would not hit him. And mock reply he'd refuse much louder than before.
“Nope.” His mouth popped.
“Them's the rules, I'm afraid.. Now I’m starvin, let's go grab a bite to eat.”
He sees the way Soichiro had not spared a second to look back. Immediately making a beeline to the Kitchen where he knew a few snacks would be waiting for them.
But unlike the eldest, Soshiro had stubbornly stomped behind his brother. Trying his best to keep up with the older boy who had much larger strides in his steps.
“That ain't fair, you said you'd give me five rounds today!”
“I said I'd give ya an extra round IF ya’ managed to hit me. And beggars can't be choosers here seeing as how not one of your attacks managed to graze me at all.”
“-Looks like you'll need more trainin’ ya little twerp.” His hand had reached to pat him on the head. But Soshiro had slapped it away before it could ruffle the tips of his hair.
“Quit callin me twerp ya Bonehead! I'm not the one who's running away–Come back here so I can kick yer’ sorry butt!” He chased after him. A common sight for the household who often saw the siblings bicker with one another.
But Soichiro was too fast. The pleasant smile on his face remained as he grabbed a rice ball nearest the counter. All the while effectively avoiding the smaller one's tackles.
It had been a few seconds more before Soshiro would give up in his pursuit. The sound or his grumbling stomach made Soichiro want to laugh. But he figured he could spare the poor boy the embarrassment of pointing that out.
Eventually, Soshiro stopped. Grabbing a rice ball of his own, he chooses to sit at the tatami nearest the windowsill of their home. And with much delight begins munching on the rice ball with a fuming look on his face.
He hadn't given up..he’s just a little hungry. That's all. He reminds himself.
“One of these days I'll beat ya’ on the first swing. Just you wait.” And that sentiment makes his older brother smile.
“That so?” Soichiro replied. Sitting beside the younger boy who had taken large bites from his own food. And unbeknownst to Soshiro, a smile appears on the corner of his older brother's lips.
“Well, guess I should buckle up and train too. Wouldn't want my wimpy little brother here to get ahead of me. Now do I?” The younger one couldn't help but roll his eyes. Clearly unamused that his brother had taken to scorn him again.
“Train with what? You're already plenty good at everything else. Yer’ just being mean.” Soichiro couldn't help but chuckle at his brother's small pout. Already grabbing him another rice ball to hand to him, as a form of apology. And Soshiro wastes no time to accept his offer. Enjoying the fresh grains of rice wrapped in that salty seaweed sheet. A singular pickled plum had peaked from within the blankets of warm grains.
“Sure. But I ain't about to slack off and give ya an easy-win.” Soichiro chuckles. Though for some reason, his voice had been far kinder than usual. “-Besides…”
Soshiro pauses, raising a brow at his older brother who had stared at the golden rays nearest the open window. And a strange expression was etched on his very face.
“I'm willin’ to bet that someday..yer’ gonna find someone who's gonna need you. With or without that blade of yours.”
And he raises his head to meet his older brother's strange smile.
It had been a selfish, childish desire for sure. One that disliked the idea of his younger brother overlapping him one day. The sheer dedication and progress he had been making was a far cry to his own. But those words, he meant sincerely. And whether Soshiro was aware of that, he was sure that one day he'd at least think back on it as simply words of mockery to discourage him.
And he did not bother to correct him.
It had been a few years since then. And for some reason those words stuck to Soshiro like a moth with a lamp.
It was uncharacteristic of Soichiro.
Even after he cut ties with his older brother. He had always found that sentiment of his, strange. The enigmatic Soichiro did not usually go out of his way to comfort him. Let alone aid him in his training. In fact, he distinctly remembers all the times the braided haired boy discouraging him each time they dueled. Demotivated him to stop in his endeavors.
It wasn't uncommon for his anger to boil when it came to Soichiro’s demeaning behavior. His words, often echoing on days where he’d fail to prove his worth to the defense force.
And although he knew Soichiro was only teasing him. His constant onslaught of berations had made him think he needed to improve upon his flaws even more. His words of mockery, a lingering thought on the back of his mind that would've normally made a person give up. Had only strengthened his resolve. And his actions only lead to even longer strides of hard work that only evolved each passing moment he'd swing his sword.
So why was it that those words of his didn't sound like mockery at all?
Had his brother meant it? When he told him he'd find someone who'd need him with or without the skill of his blade?
It had been almost an entire decade since he last saw his brother. Who had gone straight ahead and became a captain of his own division. And Soshiro had just about joined the defense force. Hoping to prove his worth.
But that was easier said than done.
It wasn't until Mina Ashiro had walked in. Scouting him directly from the Kansai District. Offering him a chance to join the Third Division and rise to the top to become her Vice Captain. But even then, it had still felt like a blow to his existence who had been fighting just to stay in the game.
“I need your abilities. Will you join my force, Hoshina?” Captain Ashiro of the Third Division had spoken. Unabashed upon his entrance to her office. It had been one of those rare instances where he got to visit the Tokyo District. And he wondered if the woman in front of him was being serious in her resolve.
“Me?” He gives a wry chuckle. “Not sure I follow Captain.”
“You're a blade specialist. Yes?”
“That's correct.” He spoke with a weary formality.
“We can't overlook the possibility of miniature-sized Kaiju cropping down the line.” The Captain had spoken with determination. And her eyes meet Soshiro's with much the same determination she had when she first offered him a place next to her.
“When I need to shoot a threat, can I trust that you'll clear a path for me?”
Soshiro was frozen on the spot.
He was practically unable to answer her. Too shocked at the mere possibility of being offered a need for his skill with the blade. He had been forced to carry a gun with him before, and that didn't end well. Yet here she was, seeking assistance in a blade specialist who had so often struggled to keep up with entire platoons who had wielded firearms instead of steel.
So why now? Why was it when he resolved to only use blades did Captain Ashiro of the Third Division scout him out? Modern Kaiju of this day and age were large. Gigantic with plated shells that even firearms had struggled to pierce through. What good would a sword do in that situation?
And yet even then, he thought about it.
The possibility of fighting his way in the midst of soldiers who carried firearms and freezing rounds. The sheer thought of rushing forward and slicing Kaiju with the perfected combat abilities he had been polishing way before he had resolved to join the Defense Force.
But before he could resolve to make an answer, the door had opened. And you had entered the fray.
“Him? Well I suppose this isn't the first time the Third's willing to recruit strange people.”
Strange?
Soshiro had looked to the side. Catching a glimpse at your figure as you slowly closed the door behind you. Hands shoved to the front pocket of your lab coat as you walked right next to him. Saluting towards Captain Ashiro to formally greet her upon meeting her gaze.
“Captain.” You addressed. Right beside Soshiro. And you could feel his stares poking through your sides.
“At ease.” The Captain looks back towards him. “Officer Hoshina. This here, is the Third's Lead Technician. She's a weapons specialist and will be here to provide your support should you choose to join our division.”
The sweet smile on your face had not faltered. Taking you back to a relaxed stance as you came face to face with Soshiro’s own scrutiny. His raised eyebrow had been an indication of his hesitancy towards you.
Your eyes had made contact with his. And although squinted, you could see the glimpse of his wine colored eyes. Observing you thoroughly from head to toe.
You weren't exactly sure what was running in his thoughts at the moment. But his skepticism was met by a similar opinion of your own. Not entirely sure if he was as good as Captain Ashiro praised him to be. Though you had to admit, he was at least somewhat nice on the eye.
“I heard about you.” He tilts his head. Fox-like in his gaze. And a smile had stretched amusingly on the corners of your lips.
“Oh? Good things I hope?” He looked unbothered. Though in a sense that his kindness was only a front that he had all but gotten used to in hiding. Likely from your comment from earlier. And you had an inkling that he had a few things to say of his own. Sly in the way he'll word it.
”I suppose..” His reply was curt.
“Heard yer’ one of the few technicians that actually make Specialized Bioweapons, that about right?”
You nod. “Only for the strange ones.”
“-Ones that can't conform to the normalcy of standard firearms. Much like you, it seems.”
This makes Soshiro’s lips quirk. Suddenly very aware that your statement had been a jab of sorts. One he had gotten used to from his own division. And such a challenge was directly and expertly countered back in tandem.
“Well yer’ not so normal yourself ya’ know?” His accent had been made much clearer. And your eyebrows raise. Slightly irate in the way he jabbed at you. Though you let him continue, just to see if he could keep up with his own feist.
“-Heard you were the Technician that was kicked out for bein’ so stubborn to work with.”
And you had to hold back a wry chuckle. It seems his smile had a few sharp claws to fight back with. “So you've heard.”
“-But I suppose you too are used to that very sentiment, yes?” Your words seem to make that easy smile of his falter slightly. It was a miniscule comment, but judging by the way he had remained silent. The tension of the room grew weary as the two sparked a similar glare for each other. And although he found the situation slightly amusing, his displeased conversation had definitely soured his thoughts of joining.
Maybe the Third Division wasn't the place for him either.
What were the chances he'd have a different point of view should he switch divisions now? Your existence proved the very mockery his brother had implied. His Father who was normally supportive had not praised him for wanting to join the Defense Force when all he had was his skill in the blade. And the thought alone is enough to convince him otherwise.
Captain Ashiro's offer had been tantalizing, but not definite. And he has half a mind to excuse himself before things could escalate.
But as luck would have it. Captain Ashiro had been observant. Her intentions were never to have them be at odds with one another. And she clears her throat in the hopes she could ease the tension in the room slightly.
Administering as the only superior officer in the room. Who needed to take much responsibility.
“Sleep on it, Hoshina. We could use a close combat specialist like you out there.”
And whether or not she meant that. There hadn't been much time before an alert went off. A pin placed on his thoughts as he had found himself participating with the Third's mission to exterminate acid spitting Kaiju on the eastern side of the Kanto region.
Despite his hesitance. The thought of it still remained. And as if magnetized, he found himself willingly transfering to the Third Division. Somehow surviving a Kaiju attack that he had helped fend off with Captain Ashiro's help.
His sword. One he brought with him from back home. Had all been melted to the hilt. Its black steel had an unnatural wave of color on it. A result of his reckless actions when he remembered having to cut through the insides of a Kaiju's mouth. Saving both himself and a child from being devoured and melted.
Had Captain Ashiro and Okonogi; the Third's Lead Operations gal. Not hac impeccable timing, he was sure he would've been dead meat by now. And yet here he was, alive coupled with only a few bruises on his sore body.
After a few days, he had recovered fairly well since then. Deployed from the hospital after a back and forth discussion between the Tokyo and Kansai district. And he had finally gotten permission for his official transfer. h
His things were readily packed as he made his way to the bunkers of Tachikawa's base.
And just as he had stared at the broken blade, he had debated on whether or not he should've just thrown it out to get a new one.
It took ages to convince the Kansai district to forge him a blade. Steel that could withstand the strength of Kaiju skin. Or have a high enough melting point so that the acidic burns of its saliva and stomach were not affected by it. But that type of material was hard to come by. Let alone, he doubts command would grant him access to such weaponry when he had done nothing to prove his usefulness.
So even then, when he had been given the minimum necessity, he had been careful in its uses. Unsure whether or not his platoon leader would allow him to be given a replacement blade when he had so little opportunity to showcase his skill infield.
He’d likely have to ask Platoon Leader Ebina for a replacement. He had so few extra blades to spare. But the Third had at least been kinder to him than his last division. Surely they'd grant him better access to the weaponry of his choice, right?
Though just as he loathed the thought. His footsteps halted.
And in the middle of the empty hallways, nearest the corner where the sleeping quarters should be. Your eyes had met with his once more. The first time in a while since your encounter in the confines of Captain Ashiro's office.
“It's you.” You had spoken.
Suddenly aware that he had been staring at the broken blade in his hand. Unfazed by the heavy duffle bag he had carried with his other arm. The sudden softness of your voice had been unexpected to say the least. Given the last animosity you both displayed towards each other.
You walked closer to inspect the melted steel. Having already heard the report from Captain Ashiro’s latest mission. And for a moment, he feels as if you had looked almost displeased at the weapon. Guilty for having assumed the worst of him. “Looks like the acid's melted it down. I assume you have a spare?”
He nods. Sheathing the broken shortsword back in its holster. Making it look like it hadn't been broken at all. “That's right. Though I ain’t excited that I'm gonna hafta' throw another one out.”
This makes you smile. And his eyes had widened ever so slightly at the sight of your pretty teeth
So that's what you looked like when you smiled.
“Figures. It isn't very common for people to use steel against Kaiju nowadays. Let alone swords.” You spoke slowly. And this time, you see the way his mouth visibly frowns. A stark contrast to that usual unbothered smile of his when you had first met him.
“Well I ‘spose I'm not your common folk.” He spoke tight-lipped. And you cringe inwardly at your thoughtless words.
You hadn't meant that. A force of bad habit it seems. One that came from a place of wanting to help.
A soldier’s life, especially one that dealt with monstrous Kaiju, had always tipped the balance between life and death. And you had thought it reckless to see him remain stubborn when you first heard your Captain praise Soshiro's skill in the blade. Your impression on him, had made you think he was a reckless fool who did not value his life. At least not enough to learn how to handle firearms.
Though now, after having witnessed his actions through Okonogi and a few key witnesses from that day. You knew that you had been wrong in your assumptions. Planning to make amends the only way you knew how.
Your place as a Technician who could only fight through the weapons you made. One that you hoped would help people survive. Even for just a minute longer, just to make a difference.
“I didn't-” Your words were cut short. Not entirely sure why your voice had cut from the tip of your tongue. So instead you move closer grabbing the hilt of his blade from his fingertips. And that alone makes Soshiro tilt his head in confusion. “Here, let me have a look.”
And he watches you admire the weight and feel of the weapon. Staring at the black leather hilt that he had so often found himself gripping. Enough to cause a few dents in the area. Only further proving his dedication to his craft. But he did not understand your actions. Far too vague in deciphering you when he barely knew much to tell if your actions had been one of curiosity or just sheer brazenness.
“Do you…have something against me? Or is there somethin’ I’m missing here?" He blurts out. Unsure if your earlier comments were made from a place of ignorance or as a way to insult his way of fighting.
And your eyes had so easily pried from the blade and back to his face. Surprised that the relaxed persona of his had momentarily disappeared.
And for a second, you felt the weight of added guilt in the way you had addressed him earlier.“Against you? No, I-”
You sigh. “Not really. If anything I'm interested in you.” Managing to blurt out, almost frowning at the way you stumbled to admit that. Somehow that had been hard to say in front of his face.
“That so?” He tilts his head with a smile. “And here I was, under the impression that you hated my guts.”
You had half a mind to roll your eyes. Make another comment that might've irked his feathers for a bit. But you stopped yourself. Finding the smile on his face much more pleasant than you had imagined. A far cry from the masked practiced one he had adorned when you first met him with. And this time, you had made an effort to be more sincere.
“You've gained my trust.” You simply spoke. This time in a much more pleasant tone than you had anticipated. “I was wrong. I misjudged your confidence for stupidity.”
His eyes had trained over each other. And silence swept over them before you spoke hesitantly once more.
“I thought you were unwilling to adapt to change. But I see now you are much more careful than I anticipated.” Your admission makes him look away momentarily. Suddenly unused to such sincerity after their last meeting.
“Your skill in the blade is impeccable. And instead of being stupid, I'll replace your weapon for you.”
He raises his brow. Not entirely sure what you were getting at until you held the weighted blade with one hand. Unused to the way you had spoken softly this time. Almost apologetic even.
“You mean replace my weapon of choice?” He had assumed as much. Maybe you’d hand him a gun and see just how terrible he'd be at it. But you had almost smacked yourself on the head for wording things so vaguely.
“No.” Your reply was immediate. Making it clear that you had not meant to insult his skill in swordsmanship. That much was for sure. And maybe that had been the first spark that finally got through the both of you. That you had not meant to offend each other. Not this time.
“I meant–the material your weapon is made out of. It's barely functional, let alone made for slicing thick-skinned Kaiju. I didn't mean too.. yeah.”
Your words had caught his throat dry. And Somehow the awkwardness you had displayed had made him chuckle in response. Amused in the way you too, had stumbled in your words when you had so confidently spoken to him last time. He wonders if you were even the same person who'd responded with the feist he had experienced first-hand. Jabs and all.
Normally conversations like these would lead to persuasion. A simple comment to get him to use other weapons. To give up on his hard work with the blade.
By all means, he was used to the impracticality of his craft.
He was good with the blade. A prodigy some would call him. But his weapon of choice had not been suited for practical use. Often delegated as a Martial Arts technique, required to join the Defense Force as a form of experience.
But it seems he had forgotten who he was talking to.
For you had not been a very practical person either. A technician who made specialized weapons for the odd who would not dare conform to the standard way of fighting a modern Kaiju. And this time, he understood the words you had struggled to say out loud. Your apologies were clear, and you wanted to help. Even if you did look adorably helpless in trying to offer that option to him. “So, what I'm getting at is that, yer’ offering to help me. Yeah?”
“Yeah. Cause I have no idea how you survived for this long with such a flimsy weapon.”
“‘Scuse me?” He couldn't help but laugh a little more. Finding your bluntness a charm. Your aura had been quite different from his initial assumptions. And it seems you were just a bold individual who was unafraid of speaking the truth if need be.
And the thought alone made him smile. Much more genuine in the way he realized he'd be faced with.
“Normally people just tell me that I'm bein’ stubborn by sticking to the front lines. But never that..” He chortled again. Finding the amusement almost breathtaking to stand upright.
And the sound of his laughter had been similar to the pretty bells you once heard during the peak hours of a windchimes's ring. Nice and genuinely pretty.
If he had laughed like that everyday, it might make things a little harder for you to deal with. But you ignore the quick pace in your heart strings. Rolling your eyes as if nothing changed in your demeanor.
“Oh please. I've seen it from the Operations Room. You're more than capable. But the weapons they've given you are…subpar to say the least.”
“-If you actually want to do more, you're gonna need a stronger steel base than this.” You had flicked your finger against the holster of the blade. And the sound of contact had echoed to his ear. And suddenly he is all too aware of that soft smile plastered on your face.
A confidence brimming in you that told him all he needed to know. A thought that you'd help him. To stick by his side and pave a way for him. Starting with a better weapon.
“And I can help you. If you let me.”
“Oh. So you're offering to fix my blade for me?”
“Even better. I'm offering you specialized blades. Ones that won't break so easily.” You beamed. And the sight of your eagerness had made him almost giddy. It almost sounded like a pipe dream in the way you had offered no hesitance in supporting him. It was a breath of fresh air amidst the many who had given up on him.
“Though of course, you'd have to rise through the ranks. Command will only authorize special made weapons for the strongest Officers after all.”
“Like Captain Ashiro?” He had spoken out of turn. A tilt on his head at the memory of her rather peculiar specialty. “I assume you'd want someone who can dish out firepower as strong as hers.”
It was no secret that the Captain of the Third Division had an unusual affinity for firearms. Her large weapon was akin to a cannon, fit to destroy larger than life Kaiju should they appear before them. But you had all but shook your head at his comment. Already one step ahead to stop his doubts from formulating. And somehow, despite the difficulty in reading him. You found yourself able to at least grasp a feeling of his inferiority. One that had been beaten down on his very body that had made you feel guilty at the words he endured.
The very same words you've mocked him with.
“No. The rest of the command can have Mina Ashiro for all I care. It's you I want.” You pointed to him. your finger squarely on his chest. And he hopes you couldn't feel the vapid way his heart was hammering upon its contact with the fabric of his standard uniform jacket. Eyes fixated at your determination and unexpected confidence in him.
“But why? Wouldn't ya’ prefer someone more capable in both long and close range weapons?”
“Like who?” You had inquired. And suddenly his thoughts shift to that amazing but annoying recruit he's encountered during his entry exams. One that he had formed a small rivalry with since they had entered the force right around the same time.
“Maybe someone like Gen Narumi?” He shrugs. Though you could tell he was hesitant in his choice of words. Which makes you chuckle. “The soldier who requested a ridiculously large bayonet? No.”
Somehow that made Soshiro visibly relaxed.
“He’s good but there's nothing I can do that can help him further. But you on the other hand?”
He raises his brows. Seeing the way you tilt your head forward towards him. And his breath is caught on his lungs, unencumbered in the way you speak your mind openly and in confidence towards him. Comparison did not exist in your mind. And from the look on your eyes, there had not been an edge of doubt in the way you responded almost immediately to his doubts.
“I'd be a pretty bad Technician if I didn't see your uses beyond that sword of yours.”
“So ya need me?” He spoke incredulously. And although it embarrasses you, you give him a curt nod. That makes a chuckle escape from his lips. “And suddenly I'm beginin’ to feel special since I joined the Third Division.”
“Well, it's true. The rest may not be able to see it. But I know it.” You paused. Looking at him in sincerity. One that he was not used to seeing. And he flinches upon your hand grabbing his own. Feeling the way his skin had rich blisters that had been replaced with heavy calluses over the time he spent training.
“You'll save more lives than I can count, and the only way you'll do that is if you're given a proper blade.”
“-Created by yours truly of course.” You let go of his hand. Hopefully he hadn't noticed the red tint on your cheeks as you looked away. And his laugh is the first thing you hear that makes you want to admire his pretty face.
“Yer crazy..” He shook his head.
Though more of a vapid insult. The smile remaining on his pretty lips had indicated it was done on jest. And for a moment, you were suddenly all too aware of how husky his voice had been, or how much taller he had shadowed over you. Or how much better he looked when he smiled.
And you find yourself taking a few steps back. The broken blade already slotted on your shoulder. Ready to take it to your lab and get a head start on designing a suitable prototype for him.
“So I've heard. But the Third Division is already full of that, don't you think?” And he couldn't help but nod. Watching the way you had slowly walked passed him. Already unused to the given space you had provided. For a moment, he wished you had held his hand longer. It had made him miss the warmth of your closeness from earlier.
“I suppose so. It's a lot different from the Kansai district, I'll give ya’ that.” He turned. Watching as you retreated slowly. And with a single glance, you had all but piqued the very last of his interest.
Suddenly, it was like getting caught on a hook. And he’s afraid he'd be seeking you out everyday. If he can help it.
If you’d allow it.
“If they couldn't make you shine then I'll make sure to pave that way for you. No kaiju is gonna break that sword of yours.” You turn around. Already taking a step forward. Hiding your pink face from his sight. Which he was admiring rather languidly had you not turned your head.
“You have my word.” You had finished off. And before he could even reply, Soshiro was left in the empty hallways of Tachikawa base.
The sudden absence made him slacken, who had gotten so used to your comforting presence. But in spite of his disappointment, he somehow found himself smiling on his own.
It sure is strange hearing someone say that to him.
Mina Ashiro may have been the first to ask of him. To request an offer for his help in the field. His assistance would prove helpful in the face of her attacks, which was made for long ranged weaponry. And he had finally gotten a chance to prove his worth to the defense force. By means of paving a path to slay the Kaiju that got in her way.
But you had been the first to offer that yourself. To pave a path for HIM should any Kaiju get in HIS way.
You offered him a chance to shine.
And he'd be damned if he doesn't reach that expectation of yours.
The one who had challenged him to go beyond a greater height than he had ever envisioned himself climbing. To be needed.
It wasn't after half a month later had he come back boasting the highest melee kill count from small to midsize threats of Kaiju. His actions ebbing a spark in the third's outlook on Bladed users. Inspiring a few onslaught of officers to join a few joint training sessions held swordsmanship. The Kendo match between districts has become a much more popular feat than before.
Now, learning the blade wasn't a simple formality anymore. It had been another path forward. And although only a fool would continue to wield a blade instead of the practicality of long ranged weaponry. Hoshina Soshiro had been that very same fool. He who pushed forward like a madman and insisted on using his signature shorthanded blades, despite the odds stacked against him
And Mina Ashiro had placed a great deal of faith in him. Enough to promote him to a platoon leader. And eventually a Vice Captain of the third Division.
And your eyes had never lingered elsewhere in his pursuit.
Often following his line of sight when you'd seen him train on the very confines of the training room. And even now, you had stared directly at him. Unable to look away.
Not when he had entered your lab with the unusual formality of his standard uniform. His star studded pin hooked on the left side of his jacket's chest. An insignia that had been a symbol of his inauguration as the new Vice Captain of Third Division's upper ranks. His title attained by the mere fraction of his efforts and hardwork.
And you dare not face him with such petty grievances like you had in the past. A smile etched on your pretty lips as you greeted him in a mock salute. As if to tell him you had been expecting this day to come.
“Took you a while, Vice Captain. I almost thought you'd given up on me.” Your joke had made him let out a chuckle. Closing the door behind him as he walked up to your place nearest the desk.
“And miss out on yer’ startled face? Never.” He had spoken more informally than you had imagined. Which made you drop the mock salute you had given him. Rolling your eyes as you moved to stand. Heading to the next desk over as he followed you suit.
“I think you're the one that should be startled.” You had hinted with a giddy giggle.
The correction made Soshiro tilt his head. A sort of curiosity washing over him. And you watch as he closes the gap between his and the proximity of your bubble. Braving to graze his shoulders against you as he crosses your side. Eyes magnetized in the way it had seen your pretty smile. “Oh. Didya' have a surprise for me? Didn't peg you as someone who gave gifts often.”
And you lean forward, nearest his chest. As if to whisper your little secret that you've been meaning to show him for a while now. “In case you forgot, let me remind you.”
Upon landing his gaze on the small glass case on the desk, you had moved your hands to slowly remove the top cover. Revealing the two refined swords around the same length of his arms.
The outer casing, its holster. Was tinted purple like his dark hair. The hints of military green had no doubt matched that of their Combat Suit's design. And it veered to life the moment his eyes fell upon the familiar insignia of the Third Division's logo atop of its hilt. A sign that this weapon had been his.
Well at least, he assumed as much. Judging from the proud and almost excited look on your face. “I finished your swords.” You spoke factually. “Just need your verdict on the matter.”
His eyes had widened. This had been a stark difference from his previous blade. The way it was made was measured perfectly to the length of his arms. The sword bent in a grip for just the way he preferred it to. And its tip? The one where a pivot was placed had been an indication that it was designed so that he could connect the two blades. Form it into one long sword, if he truly wished to.
That alone was an indication that this was likely not a normal melee. Made of simple bronze or steel.
No.
This was a bioweapon. Made from Kiaju to kill Kaiju. One that was only granted to the strongest in the Force. One that had been ready for his use. Built in custom to his preferences. And their eyes met, only confirming his suspicions when she had given him an awkward shrug of her shoulders. Acting as if invisible ink had occupied the space between their feet.
“I said I'd make you a weapon that won't break easily, didn't I?” In an instant, a hot flush billowed in his cheeks. Much the same when your normally hidden shyness had finally resurfaced.
The rare times it did, he couldn't help but stare. Far too enraptured in the gap that had swung between your feist and your awkward responses. And he nods in turn. Suddenly aware that you had been doing such a task so diligently to perfection. “I don't know what to say. I didn't think you'd actually make it.”
You hear him chuckle. And your shoulder had pushed him forward. Towards the weaponry you had made for him.“Go on, it's not like anybody else can use it.”
Soshiro had looked at you, hesitant in the way you had so readily offered him such a gift. Your words had been proven in the way your assurances hit his heart. And his hand had a mind of its own as it grabbed the hilt of the blade. Sliding its cover right off so he'd have a chance to see the refined structure of the thinly cut mass of iron.
One he had been accustomed to weilding since he had been born.
Though instead. He was met with the dark shade of a similar material. Stronger than Iron, nor any steel for that matter. It was a blade far too distinct to forget. Luminous in orange hues as if it burned with the same heat that had allowed him to move in the enhancement of his suit.
And it had been clear this weapon was far stronger than the rest of his blade. Bound to cut a Kaiju's outer shell much easier than his previous ones would let him.
And the light one that breathed with an eery calm had reflected his own wine red eyes on the blade. The very movement caused a sound cutting through air when he'd expertly move it with his fingertips.
A sight of which had glued your eyes onto him. Finding his stupor rather mesmerizing than usual. His concentration had not been a rare sight for you, especially when you had caught glimpses of the many nights he'd spend alone in the training room.
But being this close. Seeing the joy nipping at his face. Somehow it makes your heart flutter strangely. And you had to shake your head to snap yourself out of admiration for the man. Suddenly focusing your attention back to blade one which vyed for his approval.
“So, do you like it?”
Soshiro had hummed. The usual grin on his lips remained unphased despite the giddiness in his chest. “Mmm...I ‘spose it's subpar at best.”
“Excuse me? Rude.” He laughs at your comment. And he puts the blade back in its holder. Already placing it on the back of his waist, right where it belonged.
“I'm kidding.” He spoke immediately after. A laugh bellowing from his abs. Though your scrunched nose had made it difficult for you to believe his immediate reply.
“No, I'm serious. You've outdone yourself sweetheart. Never seen a sword this sharp before..” He looks you over, admiring the easy smile on your face. That and the nickname seems to have made your cheeks flare up in surprise.
And he had to remind himself to engrave that very image of you on the back of his mind. Fearing that he may never get to see such a sight again.
“Well say that first! It's kind of difficult reading your facial expressions, you know?” You huffed. Though the easy laughter of his had remained. And a smile soon replaces your hefty frown.
“Sorry, sorry. Is there a price I hafta pay ya’? You know, for making me such a nice weapon and all that.”
You shrug, scooting your way right in front of him where he could just as easily close the gap between the two of you.
Have your chest pressed up against his, hand gripping the plush of your lower back. Admiring the gentle way you'd likely stare up at him with flamed cheeks. But he stops, already feeling too guilty to indulge himself further. And your reply had been quick enough to distract him from any incoming thoughts that had pushed his mind to try and get closer to you.
“Only your help, when it comes to a few suit upgrades.”
Help huh? He supposes this would be a good excuse to go see you more often. Though the simplicity of such a task was a little more suspicious on your part. And he had an inkling you had a few things in mind that involved more than just that.
But then again. He couldn't exactly read you either. Not completely at least.
Not yet.
“Quite demanding, aren't we?” He nods.
You had rolled your eyes at his teasing.
“You're the one that offered. But fine, be like that.” You had crossed your arms. Already backing away, and you had felt the way he had firmly pulled you back. Hand against your elbow. Making you face him whilst he tilted his head in your direction.
“Now, now..I never said anything about refusing you didn't I?” He chuckles. And the deep rumble makes your stomach churn in small caterpillars. Ready to form butterflies should he continue.
“Wasn't that already implied?” You spoke. Aware of the way his palms had steadied you by the elbows. The hint of warmth against his skin was almost tantalizing to make you lean forward. But before you had the chance to, he let you go. Leaving only an inch of space between the both of you.
“Shh..” His finger had raised itself against your lips. Shushing you before you could make another smart quip at him that was sure to insight another bout of witty banter. One that he knew he'd grown accustomed to in the future.
“I was just messing with ya'” He laughs. Only confirming that he had been hooked indefinitely by you. And he moves his free hand to tug your hair behind your ear.
“Do you, or do you not want to help me?” You had asked incredulously. Already finding his musings rather annoying. But the way he looked at you had your breath caught in your throat.
His gaze, although clouded by the silent promise to himself. Had not seen the way you too had a similar look on your face. And whether or not you had been aware of this promise. It doesn't fail to make your heart pick up its pace. His voice was almost reminiscent of prayer when he spoke your name in a whisper.
“I do want to help.” He spoke slowly. And your eyes flutter closed wondering if his touch would linger for a bit longer. But his fingertips remained curt. Pulling back just as soon as it grazed your skin.
“And how do I know you're being serious?”
“All ya’ have to do is call me. And I’ll Certainly be Yours, if you want me to.”
And he meant it. He was sincere in his intention to get close to you. To help you like you had sworn to him. Use his skill to protect you, should you ever need it.
And somehow, he is reminded of the time his brother had spoken to him long ago. Back when they were kids, dueling with simple bamboo swords back in the peace of their own home. Eating those childhood rice balls in the afterhours of their respective schools.
Soichiro be damned. Because somehow he was correct in his predictions. His words were every bit of a mockery to his craft. And although it was a rare sight to have him be soft in his presence.
Somehow, that was the one time he did so dissolutely.
And now, it looks like he's found someone who needs him. With or without that blade of his.
And this time, there was genuinely no sense of mockery in the way he had met you.
He only hoped he wasn't too late.

Close Call
Fem!Reader angst, mention of death, mention of trauma, mention of suicide
Tumblr media
Simon sits on the bar stool as he quite often does when he needs some alone time after missions although he usually doesn't drink this much during these self debriefing sessions but this last mission was a real tough one. He had a close call while clearing an enemy's building and he was scared shitless... like truly frightened out of his wits. He had never felt that way before until in that moment. Of course he always made sure to stay focused and finish the mission as unharmed as possible, but he never feared for his life to that extent because this time was different. He had you. What would happen to you if he was gone? How heartbroken would you be? Would all the pain come back? All that trauma you suffered from. All that heavy weight which he took off your shoulders. And you did the same for him. Oh how brave and strong you are in his eyes even though you don't see it yourself but he makes sure to make you believe in yourself step by step. Never pushing and prying too much just as you do with him... just as patient as you are. Would you survive if something happened to him? As much as he wants to stop these thoughts, he can't help but think about a conversation you once had on this topic. About how you wouldn't want to keep living if you ever lost him. He quickly pushes the thoughts away as the adrenaline and the extreme fear he experienced subside. He stands up just as a group of young people enter the bar chatting and laughing loudly already wasted probably bar hopping. As they settle, he reaches for his wallet to pay for the shots and leave as soon as possible. He misses you, but he needed some time to think those things through before seeing you. He didn't want you to see him in that state and god forbid to snap at you. As he gathers his stuff and begins to leave, one of the girls comes forward "where you goin, handsome? You seem kinda wasted. Do you need a ride?" 'Wasted my ass, just say you wanna get laid' he thought but replied coldly "Home. And no." "Well, it's still early. We can go to my place" she slurrs her words as her hand starts to touch his bicep which he quickly shakes off and states firmly "I have a wife who I love very much and I miss her as I haven't seen her for a while because of work. So please step aside so I can leave." He speaks to her calmly and tries not to be overly aggressive and harsh as she is quite young and apparently drunk. She gets out of his way disappointed and he starts walking towards the door but he stops and turns around "Oi!" The girl turns her head "Stop inviting random strangers to your house!" Then he leaves and gets into a cab to finally come home to you.

Mark Hoffman x GN! Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Wtf, I had this basically finished work in my drafts all this time?? Anyways, enjoy.
Tumblr media
Summary: After Mark Hoffman's true identity has been revealed, his personal apprentice has to step in.
Warnings: Angst, Blood
Notes: Hurt/Comfort, Takes place in between SAW 6 and 7
Words: 1800
"Almost done..."
You were in the very same warehouse as the participants of the current game, tinkering on some of your mentor's latest inventions.
Mark would never openly admit, but while he was the mastermind behind most traps, it was your finishing touch that made them possible.
Not bad for a basically self-taught engineer, right?
As your eyes wanderes to the timer on the top corner of the livestream, you realized that this test was almost over. To not get distracted you had muted the old TV. However due to the proximity, most of the dampened screams would still dring to your ear.
Gladly, the more you get used to all of this, the more selective your hearing becomes - so you had already fallen deaf to them.
You huffed while trying to lift the heavy tool onto the workbench again, not bothering to wait for Mark to help you. Taking a sip of water, you watched the subject reaching the final part of his test.
Unbelievable that it’s already been one year since you’ve become the next generations Jigsaw’s apprentice, assisting Mark with every game ever since John and Amanda had passed away...
...and in your eyes, the sacrifices you had to make were all worth it.
Grabbing a towel to pat off the sweat from your face and chest, your mind wandered back to the day you had revealed yourself to him. Being a mere admirer of Jigsaw's work and philosophy, having found out Detective Hoffman's double life on your own.
But he was different than John Kramer and Amanda Young. Played by his own rules, which you oddly sympathized with.
Why giving those dangers to society - like Seth Baxter - a second chance? They shouldn't be allowed to roam freely. No, all they deserved was to be put down for good, after experiencing what their victims had.
You remembered Mark's hands on your throat the second you confessed to him. Couldn't blame him, though - last time someone told him "I know who you are", there was a shotgun draped to his neck shortly after.
The mere fact that you had survived this encounter, let alone having been declared his secret accomplice, made your chest swell with pride.
After all, you had gained somewhat trust and respect of basically the most misanthropic person on earth.
After a while of negotiation Mark had been impressed by your skill, both physical and mental. Having figured out his identity when not even the police or FBI couldn't...
...furthermore, your almost obsessively worship of his every action was exactly the kind of ego stroke he just couldn't reject.
And so you ended up his loyal subordinate, working for him from the shadows and taking every wish as your command.
Over time, the two of you had become a lethal combination - complimenting each talents and evening out the other's flaws.
It was pretty obvious that he was a sociopath, unable to sharw any personal bond with anyone. You may have shared a heated fling or a passionate night occasionally, but that was it.
This man was just using you, and you have been equally deranged enough to enjoy this. Addicted to the thrill of adrenaline that came to being associated with him.
You’d follow him blindly - even if it meant your own death.
Speaking of...
You jumped at the sound of a heavy steel door opening, immediately cocking your gun towards the entrance - force of habit...
...yet instead of a threat, something even worse came inside.
"Mark!"
This was certainly not the first time you had seen him covered in that much blood, but this time was different - it was his own, and much to your surprise made you freak out.
The man mutely limped towards your workshop, only a dirty cloth covering his torn cheek. "Shit, you're going to get an infection..."
Rushing to get the first aid kid while he threw the reverse bear trap onto the table, you figured this was not the time to ask about what exactly happened.
Not that he'd be able to answer anyway even if he wanted to, given his current state.
You couldn't help but laugh as he tried to snatch the medical supplies out of your hand. "You know you're allowed to need help sometimes, right?"
He furrowed his brows at you, and while most normal people would be intimidated by his demeanour, you found him almost adoringly stubborn.
"Now come here, would you..." you ordered as he finally let go off of the kit, worry present in your tone.
The man grunted approvingly, making you laugh. “You know, Amanda was right: You really are one of the last cavemen.”
Good thing he wasn’t able to talk right not - otherwise he’d advise you to never take that filthy name into your mouth ever again if you wanted to keep on living.
When he was finally sat, you carefully evaluated the wound - even though on the inside, it was hard to keep it together seeing him that way.
You were amazed at his composure up until now - the pain must be agonizing...
There was no time to lose either, a major blood vessel was torn and he was still actively losing a lot of blood.
Much to his luck, you were prepared for every eventuality. Glad you took those anatomy and first aid lessons back in the day, you just knew with your kind of profession that would pay off someday.
You quickly cleaned both hands from the motor oil, before pouring a whole bottle of your mentor's booze over them and the wound.
Deeply concentrated, you stuck out your tongue as you started patching him up. Hoffman warily eyed your every move, every stitch you so carefully placed to reconstruct his facial features.
This whole time, Mark had one hand firmly placed on your knee, squeezing ever so slightly. You were almost done, admiring his strenght to not even flinch as you patched him back together.
“Too bad for that handsome face, though...” you mumbled to yourself, speaking faster than your mind could catch up on. Not that he’d care about appearance or something like that anyway. “But men with scars are pretty handsome, you know?”
You handed him a mirror, scolding him to not touch the wound as he evaluating your handiwork. "The gentleman is allowed to thank me now” you chuckled as you noticed he wasn’t sure if he could talk again now.
"That bitch is gonna pay for this" he finally spoke, still a little slurred since he'd need to get used to the feeling.
"You're welcome" you rolled your eyes, still cheerful before busying yourself with bandaging his hand as well. “There's not much I can do with a fracture like this, but it'll probably heal itself. Just try not using it too much. Punch with the other hand, maybe? Haha..."
“We need to go” he stated with that gravely voice of his, face contorting in pain as he tried to clench his fist. "Jill tried to kill me. She got away, the police is most likely on their way."
"Ten steps ahead of you." There was enough time to understand the mess Hoffman had gotten himself into later. So for now you quickly threw both your identification papers in the fire barrel that had kept you warm until now, before turning to him.
You softly pushed him down onto the chair again, no words needed to tell him he should rest and let you handle this for a change. Just packing a bag with all the necessities, covering the workshop in gasoline and you were good to go.
“How sad...” you thought, turning around to watch your work go up in flames “I was just done with the tool.”
As if Mark knew what you were thinking, he rubbed some circles on your back before pushing you to walk faster. "We can always make a new one. Let's go."
The future might be uncertain, but one thing you was sure of: Soon, Detective Mark Hoffman would officially be a wanted criminal...
...but as long as you had each other, there was still hope for a good ending to this story.
"It's not over, but I need to stay incognito from now on" he uttered a little out of breath, your old car shaking a little as the heavy man entered the backseat. "You'll need to make the preparations and anything else I can entrust to you."
"Of course" you acknowledged, rummaging in your bag until you found what you were looking for. "Everything you want."
Just when you were getting the srynge into his field of view, Mark would panic, painfully grabbing your wrist to stop you.
"No..." he was so utterly exhausted, yet terrified of the possibility to be forcefully put to sleep like his victims and himself once.
“Mark...calm down” you cooed understandingly, your palm rubbing his cheek. “C’mon, it’s me after all. There's just morphine in there, it's not enough to knock you out. I promise."
Being such a control freak, it was hard for him to be at the mercy of another. Yet he nodded mutely and rolled up his sleeve to inject the pain medication directly into his bloodstream.
After all the fucked up things happening, sometimes he’d forget that there was actually one person he could trust.
"You know" he sighed, sinking deeper into the car seat as the drug showed it's effect, making him slowly but steadily relax. "You're everything I have."
“That’s the morphine speaking” you giggled, trying to keep your eyes on the road and he couldn't think but wonder if you always had such a soothing voice.
...and with you humming so sweetly, the sunset light illuminating your skin like this...have you always been this beautiful, or was he really just high?
“Maybe" he ultimately spoke, deciding he'd have to figure it out after everything was over. "Or it just makes me talk about things I usually keep to myself.”
You cracked a smile at this half-assed answer. Typical - but you admittedly liked even this part about him.
“Only this last game...” he continued stammering, and it was actually cute to see this softer side of this brute of a man. “John Kramer’s work is almost done.”
“And what are you going to do afterwards? Any plans, boss?”
With him being on the backseat, your eyes would only briefly meet through the rearview mirror...
...and what you saw may be the same man you knew for so long already, and yet so different.
Happy, somehow.
Smiling for a change. Genuinely and wholeheartedly, not this fake one he'd put up to fit in with society.
And you knew this one was just for you.
“When this is all over, I want it to be you and me.”

Touch starvation is a very real thing.
The post where you asked about it felt pretty flowery/easy to interpret as exaggeration and I thought giving you some entirely factual examples might help convey what it's like without that ambiguity. Gonna try not to make this into me venting in your inbox, I know how unpleasant that shit is, and I'm doing better now so please don't feel like you've got to comfort the anon stranger here! I promise I am fine and will continue to be okay, I have better life circumstances now *pretend I could put a thumbs up thingy here lol*
So anyhow here's the description part: There was no one to touch me and prove that I existed, so I dissociated a lot. Extreme pressure and/or light impact overlapped with what I actually needed just enough that I could kinda get by on that sometimes. I used to wake up every day to my whole body aching because I'd been unconsciously seeking touch in my sleep by pushing myself against the wall and my pillows over and over again. There was a deep desire to be violently ripped apart, because gentle touch was out of reach and I was overwhelmed by constant unfulfilled need.
Like the post says, actual touch becomes very overwhelming. The one time I actually got to hold someone to sleep, I couldn't actually sleep, it was just too much, something like a positive version of fear, a kind of emotional adrenaline-shivering, good but utterly exhausting and with that same sense of being emotionally high strung like a wire tensed to the point of snapping.
That might be called excitement?? My autistic ass does not have the ability to identify emotions that well lmao, but it was for sure a whole heck of a lot of something or other, and the only possibility of sleep would have been moving away to another room.
It's worth keeping in mind that most people won't ever experience it this intensely. Plenty of people get hungry, fewer have experienced actual starvation, and there's always some people who don't feel hunger much at all no matter the circumstances. So it goes for the desire to be touched too.
All this to say that yes, for many people skin to skin contact is a need like sleep is a need and if we go without it for long enough (months, years, decades) we fall apart.
I legit thought people were just exaggerating this stuff. I’m touch averse 24/7 and have never desired physical touch in my life so it’s strange (for me) to see that this is smth that actually legit affects people

Hey, hope this is ok. I need some reassurance.
I've never felt a God's presence (except a vague warmth/peace when meditating about them sometimes I guess), much less talked directly to them (as in hearing them answer) and with so many people, esp on tiktok and here, talking like they have a private relationship with the Gods, a close friendship, even dating I just... I feel lesser I guess? Like so many people were chosen but not me and that must be a problem on my part. Like the Gods prefer everyone else over me. Like I'm not doing enough, even though I'm doing what I manage to do, given my limitations. I'm jealous of people who do communicate directly to the Gods. Part of me doubts them but part wants to believe them because it would be so shitty to lie about something like this and I don't want to believe these people are shitty. I don't believe non harmful hallucinations are all that common either, which would be the other explanation.
From what I understand you don't have this kind of direct communication either and I wanted to ask - how do you prevent yourself from feeling bad seeing all these people who (claim they) do?
I'm struggling here :( It's already hard for me to keep a consistent practice because of executive dysfunction and chronic illness and other stuff and this makes it harder. Feeling like I'll never be at everyone else's level of connection makes it harder.
Sorry for the vent-ish ask. You don't need to answer but I'm already glad if you read. Thank you.
Dear Anon,
Thank you for your ask, I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling. I want to tell you right off the bat that you are not lesser than any other worshipper - you are not less preferable to The Gods - and you should not feel any guilt around your spiritual/religious experiences. I would like to say the following to you, but also to the wider HelPol/Pagan community:
PLEASE Do Not Trust Spiritual Influencers on TikTok.
I cannot claim to know the legitimacy or the intentions/motivations behind every individuals actions regarding divine experiences, but I can say with confidence that most of the spiritual content on TikTok is dripping with lies and exaggerations.
Now, as someone with a mental health degree (I don't talk about my education often but I do have a bachelor's in Social Work and a minor in Psychology) I can also say with confidence that just because someone is lying doesn't mean they're necessarily a "bad person" but you don't have to be a "bad person" to have bad motivations.
Bad Motivations Can Include:
Lying for Financial Gain: This could be selling a product, selling a service, or trying to monetize on being an "influencer".
Lying for Attention: Many people do not have supportive friends, families, or communities - so as a maladaptive coping mechanism they will lie to get the attention they are lacking in their personal life.
Lying for Prestige: Some people don't feel important in their own lives, so they will lie so that other people will think that they are important.
Lying for Fun: In the age of the internet, the ability to make others believe something you know to be false can give someone an adrenaline or a dopamine rush. This is why "trolling" is still so popular.
And, not a "motivation", but still an explanation of why someone might "lie":
Mental Health Concerns: This could be a severe mental illness, a delusion, a hallucination, or conditioning from trauma.
People are weird and wonderful and diverse - and that diversity includes people who will lie (consciously or not) for a variety of reasons.
I speak about this openly as you mentioned, but I do not - nor have I ever - had any direct communication from any entity, deity, or spirit. Everything I know about my Gods (outside of myth, tradition, and history) I have learned through divination, ritual, and intuition.
Answering how I prevent myself from feeling bad when I see so many people "experiencing" something I can't - is a little bit complicated.
When I began my journey into paganism 11 years ago, TikTok didn't exist - Instagram was only 2 years old - and Tumblr had been around for a little under 5 years. My early knowledge came, mostly, from books. I wasn't comparing my experiences to those of others - because the only "others" I could compare myself to were limited to one high-school friend and the authors of the books I read. That kind of experience as a modern pagan doesn't really exist anymore because of how much the world has changed, but I wish it did. So, by the time I got to where I am now, the idea of comparing myself to others was so foreign. And as someone who grew up with the early internet - I learned very quickly that very little online is 100% real and truthful.
If you want to connect with your deities in an honest way that also feels real - you might enjoy trying one of the following (some of these might sound silly and/or childish - but if you truly want to grow as a pagan, you must throw away the idea that childish = bad):
Go outside at night and spin, put your arms out wide and spin and spin until you're dizzy (but not sick). Then lie down on the ground and close your eyes. That whirring sensation? That unreality of gravity? That is the Earth. That is Gaia. That is Demeter.
Listen to the rainfall on a stormy night. Sit somewhere you can hear the drops hitting the ground. Look and wait for a flash of lighting. The following thunder, that sound that you can feel in your bones that makes you jump, That is Zeus.
Write a letter to a friend, or to a loved one, or even to yourself in the future. Pay attention to how emotions become thoughts, thoughts become words, and words become writing. Communication - Language - Thought. That is Hermes.
I could go on- but at the end of the day, people are going to tell you that The Gods are "otherworldly"; but they're wrong. The Gods are of this world - The Gods are this world.
I hope that some of this has helped?
Eirene, peace and farewell,
- Aön

REV THEORY
A RACEWAY AU SHOWTIME SONGFIC
A/N:feelin a bit spicyyyy 🔥🔥🔥
WARNING: INCREDIBLY SUGGESTIVE
~~~
"You want to do what?" Caine did a double take. There's no way he heard her correctly.
They had just finished their daily race, but Pomni was still fired up. "I said, I want to go again...in your kart."
"You want to use MY kart...on an OFFICIAL track...alone?" Caine tugged at his collar.
"Yes." Pomni said with a smirk. "Hold onto this for me, would you?" She tossed her hat at him.
Caine caught it. "...what are y-?" There was no way she knew-
"Testing a theory." She stepped closer. "Now, are we doing this or not?"
Caine almost couldn't snap, his hand was trembling so much. "Y-yeah!" He gulped. "Have fun out there."
Caine's kart appeared in a flash. The start line lights up, ready to begin a race. Pomni added a sway to her hips as she climbed into the kart. Her face spelled trouble as she settled into the seat.
The kart started itself with a roar. Caine blushed out of embarrassment with how loud it was.
Pomni traced her fingers up the steering wheel and gripped it's hold. "Can you feel that?" She grinned at Caine. "You better hold on. This one's about to get bumpy."
Caine immediately went the darkest shade of red possible. She knew.
Pomni gave a low chuckle as the lights counted down, strongly revving the kart.
Chills went through Caine's entire body. His grip on his cane tightened. The look on Pomni's face nearly dropped him from the air.
She took off perfectly from the start line the moment it went green. Gold fire blasted from the tailpipes as the tires screamed for traction.
Caine wasn't in control, but he felt every move Pomni made. Without distraction, the race rush coursing through his code gives him a sense of euphoria in a way he's never experienced.
She's a ten, hellbent, I'm in heaven tonight
Pomni drifted through a turn.
Six speed, sex scene playin' out in my mind
Caine braced himself against the start line support.
One look, I'm hooked, motor runnin'
Rev'd up, my heart startin' pumpin'
Are you ready for the best damn ride of your life?
Pomni hit a double booster through a massive spiral.
Give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Stand up right now!
Caine's eyes rolled. His knees shook. His grip on Pomni's hat tightened.
And give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Stand up right now!
Pomni maneuvered through a wavy part of the track expertly, slamming the gas on the straightaway.
Get ready to go!
She ain't movin' slow!
She's takin' control!
Pushin' the pedal through the floor!
I'm beggin' for more!
You better hold on tight!
Caine slid down the support pole, his back to it as he sat on the ground. He couldn't fly. He couldn't focus. His breathing getting hot and heavy, he loosens his tie.
Pomni shifted gears and rocketed through a jump.
Got a taste, can't be saved, I'm a junkie for life
Caine groaned. His mind completely fogged.
She fuels my fire and adrenaline high
Pomni pushed the kart harder with a golden item boost AND a lane boost.
My need for speed's got me gunnin'
One touch, she screams, "Keep it comin'!"
Pomni cheered as she drove on an inverted track.
Are you ready for the best damn ride of your life?
Caine's coat slipped off his shoulders. He couldn't bear to wear it in this heat. His code was going mad.
Give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Stand up right now!
And give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Stand up right now!
Caine's body trembled as he squeezed his knees together. A gutteral moan was choked out of him when he felt his kart do a high fly jump and Pomni made it do a trick.
Get ready to go!
She ain't movin' slow!
She's takin' control!
Pushin' the pedal through the floor!
I'm beggin' for more!
You better hold on tight!
Caine bit down on his own hand in an attempt to curb the sounds that kept escaping him. Pomni was driving him closer to the edge with every turn. His back arched when Pomni drifted through the tightest corner on the track, making him whimper.
Pomni heard a soft noise come through on the kart's radio. She chuckled, her suspicions were fully confirmed.
Almost home
Pomni intentionally adjusted herself in the seat.
Caine gasped, his cane topper glowing.
Pomni gripped the shifter and changed gears way harder than necessary.
Caine moaned loud enough to be heard clearly on the radio.
Give me a hell
Give me a yeah! hell yeah!
Stand up right now
And give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Stand up right now! right now!
"What was that, Caine? I can't hear you!" Pomni said in a teasing tone.
"Nothing! You're doing great! Keep going! Please!!" Caine could barely get his words out.
Give me a hell
Give me a yeah! yeah!
Stand up right now
And give me a hell
Give me a yeah! yeah!
Stand up right now! right now!
Pomni hit a banked turn at top speed. All the items on the track worked coincidentally in her favor.
Get ready to go!
She ain't movin' slow!
She's takin' control!
And pushin' the pedal through the floor!
I'm beggin' for more!
You better hold on tight!
Caine squirmed, cartoonish sweat pouring from his head. If he wasn't careful, he'd drool on himself. He could hear his kart racing back around. It was so close to the finish.
He gave one last ditch effort to focus and snapped his fingers. His hat vanished.
Give me a hell
Give me a yeah
Pomni smiled when she saw her last item. Caine's hat appeared in her hand. She knew what he wanted, and was more than happy to give it to him.
She put on the hat, but instead of a silvery red light, she was surrounded by a golden red light that blasted her ahead. She cried out with joy as she crossed the finish line.
And give me a hell
Give me a yeah
HELL
Caine saw stars as Pomni crossed the finish line. Sparks flew from his gold cane topper. "Pomni~", he weakly groaned as he felt fully satisfied by the completion of the single kart race.
Pomni came to a screeching halt. The kart steamed and hissed from being run harder than it ever had. She hopped out, still wearing Caine 's hat.
He was even more of a mess than she anticipated. "You okay?"
Caine couldn't see straight, his eyes rolled lazily in his mouth. "My dear... I've never been better in my entire existence." He slowly props himself up, leaning against the start line for support. "Now...since you've won, why don't I escort you to the winner's circle. You're due for a reward."
Pomni gripped Caine by his cummerbund and held him against her. "Take me away, Racemaster~"
He snapped, they vanished.
Not really a marauders character but: Tom Riddle #20!
YAPPING WARNING ABOUT ASPD TOM RIDDLE AGAIN
Ok so sorry for taking so long to do this, but my brain crashes every time i try to think about something that isn't obvious or just fucking boring. BUT I REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH YALL SO GIVE ME YOUR THOUGHTS
The hill I'll die on is that he is an ASPD baddie, tho I bet he would prefer thinking about himself as sociopath, as edgy teens do. It doesn't mean I think he is totally emotionless, i think he is very emotional. Just not empathetic? This man is purely driven by his emotions from the start. Be it fear of death, resentment, and hatred towards Dumbledore or just general anger directed at the stupidity of the wizarding nation. In ASPD it's just that the intensity of expression of those emotions is different. He can look totally put together and like an oasis of peace, but inside planning whatever insanities only he can think of.
Because the thing is, anger issues are not rare in ASPD. ASPD is associated with impulsiveness and violent or risky behaviours, which can result in lashing out in anger. It's just that when you don't have many emotions to begin with, controlling the stronger ones can be difficult.
People have very different headcanons about him in that matter, i see a lot of totally stoic, calculating tom riddle who doesn't have absolutely any emotions and stuff like this, but I really can't see it. My man is a dramatic, cruel, entitled and IMPULSIVE edgelord BUT:
HOT TAKE #1:
Canon Tom Riddle headcanonned himself as fanon Tom Riddle.
He might have thought of himself as emotionless, but he just didn't acknowledge it. Growing up in an unstable environment, he hadn't learned how to stabilize himself.
Because ASPD is partialy caused by genetics, yes. But a very big factor in developing it is childhood and home life. We can agree his was very unstable, he has probably witnessed violence and definitely experienced emotional neglect. ASPD is all about lack of security. Its defence mechanism. That means:
My man just doesn't know how to cope, LMAO. When it was too much even for him to stuff into the back of his brain, he just lashed out. Acting on impulses was his relief from it. Adrenaline from it also helped to mute his feelings.
But at the same time, he just didn't think of himself as unreasonable. "It was never his fault, he was just provoked!" He also didn't feel guilty about causing harm to others because he didn't have any empathetic feelings towards anyone. How can you feel bad about idk, cursing someone if you don't see them as an individual with feelings of their own. Because how could he think about their feelings when he didn't have much of his own to compare and to even comprehend what they feel beside some very shallow understanding. AND BY THAT I DONT MEAN HE DIDNT KNOW HE WAS HURTING PEOPLE AROUND HIM HE WASNT A POOR LITTLE MEOW MEOW. HE KNEW, HE JUST DIDNT GET IT SO HE DIDNT CARE. But he obviously knew. So no empathy but more like an educated guess. Masking king. He learnt how emotions worked for other people and used it whenever he saw fit. Pure manipulation.
Because again neglectful caregiving = problems with attachment to people and forming relationships. In the end it's all about him in that aspect. His feelings are always about himself and making himself feel comfortable and stable. He was fond of his friends till they were useful and till he felt good with having them around. He took pride* in gaining their respect and loyalty. He was using them to stroke his ego basically. And was using them in general. For stuff and things.
*HOT TAKE #2:
And here i have my latest hot take: his similarity with Harry in that matter. Harry is a gryffindor with some slytherin traits. And imo Tom, with him being the most slytherin to ever slytherin, his crazy pride and impulsivity is so gryffindor.
So there's that beside how we can all agree he was a liar and manipulator.
Tumblr media
 You’re back in his bed again. And you begin to think that you are a masochist, somewhere along the way after you’ve met him. And running back to him, despite being on and off.
 It’s way past the time where most people are staying up now as the time reads 1 am, as the time shows on his night stand.
 You’re fully clothed, but you never felt more naked than this moment in your life. You can’t ever recall how many times you felt so vulnerable and hopeless in positions like this.
 It’s really a shame that you always find yourself running back to him. It’s not your first time, or second time that you’ve repeated this grave mistake either. It's happened countless times already, as it has already been months already.
 How long will you allow it to happen?
 Do you desire connections (or intimacy) with no strings, no label but memories left lingering between two strangers with history attached?
 You used to laugh at your friends who did this, until you experienced it yourself and you can only laugh bitterly at how you used to look at the very situation you swore to yourself that you wouldn’t find yourself in.
 You’re so stupid.
 So naive to think that you wouldn’t give into a temptation.
 Even if it feels good in the moment, when the adrenaline wears off, does the high still stay? You already know the answer.
 You quickly get out of the same bed that has your scent sprayed all over his bed. The same bed you used to lay in after a long day of work, cuddling into his side as you laughed and watching something mundane that you both picked.
 Those memories started to slowly fade, replacing itself with the cold, empty mistakes and the ever unnerving kisses that snuck behind all of your friends’ and his friends’ backs. Because to them, you both are nothing but just exes.
 But why is it so addictive?
 Why does every time he calls you up, you always run to him?
 He has already finished cooking and there’s only one empty plate on the kitchen counter.
 And it truly answers your every question whether that he feels the same as you do or not.
 He has already made room for one instead of two, a thought you keep to yourself as you observe him transferring a freshly cooked meal from his pan onto the shiny plate.
 He doesn’t seem that surprised to see your presence in the kitchen. Normally, after the session, you would’ve already left with the saying ‘I have work tomorrow’. But really, you knew that you didn’t want to sleep in his bed, knowing that you’d feel much worse if you found yourself waking up in his bed and you would instantly start regretting and resent your own failure to keep the promise of not being back at his place altogether.
 However, to your surprise, the plate is now in front of you, you don’t know where he gets the spoon and fork. You look at him like he’s crazy. And maybe indeed he did. Since when did he really care for you, after each other declaring that you both have nothing to do with each other anymore?
“I don’t think I can accept that.” You immediately refuse the meal, although it looks appetizing. “Sorry, I really can’t.” Apologizing to him, you let the guilt sit on the tip of your tongue.
“Why?” He quirks one of his eyebrows, something he does when he has a question. Whether it’s in his sarcastic nature or out of genuine curiosity, you don’t think you can tell anymore.
 How do you really become strangers?
“I think we should stop doing this.”  You gulp. “Whatever we do— we should just leave that be 9 months ago.”
 He’s now silent, he’s looking at you, you don’t have a single idea of what he could possibly come up with if he chooses to speak.
“It feels like you’re lying to me. To ourselves.” You are reminiscing about the starter point that led you here. “I tiptoed around my friends, I told them that I bumped into you twice by accident. Sneaking around like we’re teenagers when we’re all adults and our companies are 45 minutes drive away from each other.” You continue to spill more. “I’m at your back when you call, I apologize for letting my instinct lead back to you. Isn’t it funny, I swore I would never do this but I can make excuses for you. I don’t want to keep lying to ourselves like this anymore.”
 You look into his eyes and the emotions that possess behind the gaze almost make you stunt; there’s a hint of guilt and remorseful, most importantly, regret and the new realization that the abnormal thing you both have been stuck doing to each other eats you up just as much as it eats him alive.
“Do you have anything to say?” You question,tone gentle and not demeaning, as you catch the look that he has something he wants to say, but seems afraid to utter it out. “Because it seems like you wanted to, but you’re holding back.”
“Have you.. ever felt loved when you were with me?”
“Huh?” You’re so caught off guard that it was the only word you can mumble out.
“Because it seems like you’re just so cold.. I don’t know who you are.”
 Maybe there’s a familiarity behind Song Mingi that you missed, but you deluded yourself into thinking that he has become a stranger.
 Or does he?
 It feels like you both are losing yourselves together with the way you no longer know how each other’s minds work anymore.
“I could say the same to you.” You chuckle, humorlessly at that. “I feel like I don’t know you now.” You add the last word.
 It’s true, because you have no idea who the man in front of you is.
 He dyed his hair, changed his fashion style as soon as you both broke up. He was always private with his social media presence, but suddenly, he updated twice or thrice a week. You noticed that he wore a lot of items and accessories that you know he never owned them before.
 You then divert your eyes to line with his gaze and you accentuate your words slowly.
“You know.. I spent the best 5 years of my life with you. I don’t ever really regret it. You helped me learn a lot about myself. Your love felt like a cold breeze in the summertime. It cools down every problem I have in me.” You gently chew on your bottom lip, as you prepare to say more.
“Our bodies recognize each other, we don’t.” You take a deep breath. “But I know that we shouldn’t just… use the lingering feelings or what happened between us in the past to keep this going. Whatever we do, it’s empty. It’s great, but it’s empty.”
 He nods, deep down agreeing to what you say.
 In all those years, you’re really the only person to touch his heart and see his vulnerability, but yet still accepting him for who he is. Call him selfish for trying to keep you around as long as he can, because you were his home, and even if the love has burned and lost already, he’ll forever find his way back to you because you're the only person who provides this safety and stability in his heart.
“Do you remember…” He speaks slowly. “When I said.. That you’re my home? Were my home, but that doesn’t make it any different. I’m sorry that I’m selfish and always wanted to keep you around. I slept around a lot, I know it sounds bad, but you’re the only person who made me feel safe.” He breathes, holding in the shakiness that spreads through his body.
“I should’ve left it that bad, but I still feel lonely. I want to feel stable– secured– or whatever, and you’re the first person I called every time. You always said I’m maybe more codependent than I show and I only prove you right. So, I’m sorry.”
 In all the years you’ve known him, you came to learn that his tough persona is contradictory to how he is as a person, or partner in general. He looks tough, but he’s more emotionally sensitive than he leads on. Looks can be so deceiving when you get reminded again that the man in front of you has never been able to deal with the empty void in his heart that well.
 He was always anxious and looked for the affection to be reciprocated and he completely threw himself at you. Somewhere along the way, you lost yourself and he began to ask himself why and what leads to the story in this cruel way.
“Don’t apologize for it.” You say softly. “I was wrong too, I should’ve just kept that casual and ended it a long time ago. We should’ve never tangled in each other’s business like this.”
 And you mean it. You’re the type to walk out as soon as you’re done with someone. But the open, underlying vulnerability that you both shared keeps you running in a circle to meet him once again.
He softly nods, the head movement is almost invisible if you didn’t witness it yourself.
“If we could bump into each other for real next time, I hope that it’s not this way.” You sigh, not loud enough to be loud but he can easily notice the rising of your chest and the airy sound that escapes from your nose.
 You glance over at the digital clock he has one installing on the wall near you, and it seems to be almost 2 am.
 That’s when you know you should get out of here, for once and for all.
“I think I should go.” You say, standing up and getting ready to approach the front door. His eyes follow your figure and you’re aware of it.
“Yeah.” He softly whimpers out. “I hope we see each other again, in a different way too.”
 And you know that you both are putting an end to this story. That the love story will be discontinued because there’s nothing left behind that.
“Oh and..” You turn around just as you’re getting closer to the door. “Goodbye, Song Mingi.” You say as you try to give him the most authentic smile you could muster.
“Goodbye, Y/N L/N.” A little smile, with an empty, void look in his eyes as he responds back to your comment.
 You can tell it does hurt a lot for him, just as much as it does for you.
 Then you turn around once again, unlocking the door and swing it open as you command yourself to step out of his property. And it later slams shut.
 And the story is now finished.
 Just like how your business and love is no longer affiliated with him.
 Or neither do your feelings with his.
There is Beauty in the Pain: Chapter 1
Tumblr media
"Cause your love is fire warm I'll be the calm babe, before the storm You got me fallin' in love, in this bad dream" - bad dream- Nerve
TAGS: @nyxthedestroyerofworlds @missduffsblog
Noah:
She was the beauty in the darkness surrounding me; the force pulling me into the light. Buried in the corner of the massive sea of people, her blue hoodie stood out in the blackness, and from every spot on the stage, I noticed her.The red lights danced as I did my best to tune out everything that unsettled me when it came to performing in front of large crowds like this, but when they were as alive and loud as they were tonight, I didn't have to try very hard. She was my biggest distraction, though. Each time I looked her way, she was focused on me, moving to the music and smiling; the embodiment of happiness, a happiness for some unknown reason, I longed to be a part of. My stomach flipped inside me when I spotted her sweet face, feeling the pull in my gut from the way her whole face seemed to beam from her smile.
Fuck. That smile was going to be the death of my heart.
No matter how hard I tried to push through what she was doing to me, the emotions I was experiencing flowed through my veins like a drug that gave me the perfect high. I was drawn to her like a magnet by reasons unknown, and the more I tried to rationalize those reasons, the stronger they became. But memories from my past crept in, quickly stealing my joy. I didn't want to involve myself with girls and relationships right now. A long time ago I did that and it ended up almost destroying me and worse, the band. So, I decided to keep my back to the crowd for a bit, moving across the stage to avoid looking out and seeing the only face I was interested in looking at, the one that was slowly eating away at my defenses. I drew my energy from the adrenaline and excitement of the crowd, using it as fuel to the fire the guys and I started over ten years ago; it was my life.
Tonight was the last show of our eight-week tour, luckily ending in L.A.; home. I loved performing, I loved touring, but damn I was exhausted and I knew the guys were too. We were ready for a few months off before heading to Europe for another six-week tour, and I was so looking forward to the time off. I didn't enjoy Interacting with the audience as much as I should as a front man, but a little was important during the show. Most of the time I felt like I sucked at it, but if I did, the fans never acted like it. They always responded with so much enthusiasm that at times it was a little overwhelming.
As I blocked the glow of the lights with my hand, looking out and grinning at all the faces I noticed her again. She'd moved closer, now out of the corner, and for the first time, we made direct eye contact. I saw how the corners of her mouth turned up and made her whole face brighten. She let out a loud scream while throwing her hands up in the air, completely taken away by our music. I had no idea why seeing her so happy made me smile, but it did and I was so caught up in her that I lost my focus and forgot what line I was on in the song, causing myself to mess up the entire last verse. I started laughing as the fans continued singing the words I'd missed, guiding me back on track to finish out the rest of the song. Thankfully it was the last before the encore.
Once over, I jogged off the stage for our four minute break, before ending the show with the last remaining song that was a crowd pleaser. I was soaked with sweat and my throat was dry. As soon as water was in sight, I snatched a bottle and guzzled it completely without stopping for a breath, feeling much better after. I shook my head, flinging beads of sweat everywhere.
"Dude, gross," Nicholas groaned. I chuckled as he walked past me. "Use a towel," throwing one at my chest. It felt good to wipe the sweat off, feeling the cool air hit my hot skin.
"You okay?" he asked, finishing his own bottle of water. Once he was through, he took my trash and threw them in the nearest trash can.
"Yeah, I'm good."
"You sure? Fucking up lyrics isn't your thing.”
I reassured him with a quick nod, wiping the back of my neck.
"I got distracted, that's all." I wasn't about to admit the truth to him.
"Well that's obvious. Over what?"
I shook my head, trying to get rid of the slight ringing in my left ear.
"Noah! What the hell," Jolly's voice boomed, coming over to me. "What happened? You missed the whole last line."
 "What happened?" Folio asked, coming into the conversation a few minutes too late. He cracked open a beer once his water was out.
"You didn't hear him miss the entire last line?"
Folio shook his head. "Nope, I was in my own little world, man. Zoned out."
"Jolly, I'm sorry. I got distracted." He was starting to give me a complex.
Grinning, Jolly softly laughed, playfully punching me in the shoulder. "I'm just giving you a hard time. Relax."
I half smiled, running the towel over my hair before tossing it into the dirty towel bin.
"You keep saying you were distracted," Nicholas reminded me. "You gonna say over what?"
I huffed, adjusting my belt pack on the back of my pants. I wasn't about to tell them I fucked up lyrics because of a girl. They'd never let me live it down.
"So many people in the crowd, dude. It's a lot, that's all."
Nick stared at me, his eyes narrowing. "Yeah, I'm not buying," shaking his head. "Spill it." He shifted his weight to the other leg, locking his hands together in front of his bass.
I started chuckling at how good he was at reading me.
"There's nothing to spill, Nick. I'm just tired and ready to finish this tour," I assured him, trying to hide the truth anyway.
"Noah, don't lie. You have that weird look on your face again."
"What look,” I laughed, raising my eyebrows. I glanced over at Folio and Jolly and they seemed to be waiting for my answer too. I scoffed.
"That look, right there,” Nick pointed out, twirling his finger in circles toward me.
I rolled my eyes and groaned.There was no escaping Nick and his relentless prying, When he wanted an answer to something, he wouldn't stop until he got it.
Sighing, I took a seat on a stool, thinking of how I would best explain what was going on with me without sounding like a stupid, lovesick teenager. There was no way I could convey the feeling that girl was giving me each time I looked at her in a way they'd understand. Hell, I wasn't sure I even understood it myself. All I knew was that the feeling I got just thinking about her and her pretty face, as if my heart had fallen into the pit of my stomach and flipped itself over and over, wouldn't go away.
My eyes darted between the three of them. Jolly had pulled his hair back, showing off his strong Swedish facial features, Folio was chugging the remainder of his beer and Nick, well Nick just stared at me. These three were my friends and I knew I could trust them to understand.
"Shit, okay, fuck it. But promise me you'll hear me out first before you say anything?" Each of them gave me their word, but I still felt like I was going to regret this.
"So, there's this girl in the crowd wearing a blue hoodie and she and I have been exchanging looks and smiles half the night. She's really pretty and there's just something about her that's got me hooked." I wouldn't look at them, worried they were about to start throwing punches.
"You said she's wearing a blue hoodie?" Nick finally asked, easing my fear.
"Yeah, blue hoodie, brown hair pulled up in a messy bun. She's close to the front right side of the barrier."
He thought for a minute but then grinned. "I know who you're talking about. She was watching me the whole time we played "Take Me First". She is really pretty. I got a smile out of her too."
"So this chick's got you so worked up and making you forget lyrics? Wow, that's the first time that’s happened in a long time." Jolly was right. It had been a long time since a girl held my interest like this.
Shrugging my shoulders and standing to my feet, I fixed my belt pack once more, slipping one ear piece back in. It was almost time to go back on. "Look, I can't explain it guys. I'm not saying or implying anything. I just like looking at her and the pull she has on me is something I've never felt. Not even with Sarah."
The guys looked at me, Jolly giving me a sympathetic stare. I shook my head at him. "Don't man, it's okay; really. I'm good." I shot him a quick smile. Nick and Folio nodded, knowing that what happened all those years ago with a girl I thought I was going to marry still haunted me at times.
"I'm not saying I want to marry this girl, I'm just saying there's something about her that's got me a little flustered. I've been trying to give it up, but the feeling just won’t let go."
There was a sad sort of silence hanging around and It was starting to get depressing. "Okay, fuck this shit," slapping my hands together. "It's encore time. Let's get this shit over so we can go home and enjoy a few months off." Everyone agreed.
Folio came up to me, twirling his sticks between his fingers. "You said she was pretty, but is she hot? Because this whole thing is pointless if she isn't hot."
His face was so serious I couldn't help but chuckle. I couldn't leave him hanging. "Yeah I think she is. She's beautiful."
That was enough for him to back up, cheesing like a kid at Christmas. Folio had a thing for women who were easy on the eyes and a lot of the time they had a thing for him too. Bryan met us at the entrance to the stage, waiting to take as many last song pictures of us and the crowd he could.
"Fuck yeah baby, let's goooo! De-fucking-throne!" Folio unleashed his devil horns and crazy rock face to Bryan who snapped a few pictures, while releasing his wild ass cackle before taking off toward his drums.
"I'm going to look for her again. Maybe I can wrangle another smile from her," Nick teased, giving me a quick pat on the back as he walked by. "Are you planning on fighting me for her attention, Ruffilo?" He smiled and shrugged
Jolly came up from behind and stood beside me. "Ready?" he asked, looking out onto the stage. Looking over at him, I nodded with a grin. "Ready as I'll ever be," I answered. He turned to me and smiled. "Let's go meet God then my friend," and walked out to the stage to take his place with me right behind him.
It was a deep, eerie blue that soon turned into a bleeding bright red when I started the infamous chant that became a ritual at every show. The loud waves of shouts and screams pierced my ears, making me have to reposition my in-ear piece while continuing to ramp up the crowd. In between the darkness and the light, her face flashed between the colors. The expression she wore said she’d never seen this before, but she followed along, repeating the chant with me over and over. I walked to the edge of the stage, looking down at her, watching how the excitement spread across her face like fire and reached her eyes. It sent electrifying chills up my spine that only enticed the feelings I was having  for her. As Jolly and Folio began playing the entire middle floor of the venue turned into a raging, screaming mosh pit.
She didn't look like a mosh pit kind of girl, so I was glad to see her safely at the front of the barrier, holding on to it as the crowds behind her pushed and shoved. I adjusted myself from the growing pressure beneath my pants that was giving away the inappropriate thoughts I was having about this girl and leaned back, releasing the frustration in a long, single growl. I pulled my strength from my diaphragm, breathing in and out the way I'd been trained taking pride in the fact that I'd managed to go the whole tour without losing my voice.
Once the song was in full swing, I became engulfed by overwhelming energy and excitement. Without reasoning, I jumped down to the lower floor, belting out the words while touching and grabbing at all the outstretched hands of fans who were screaming and begging for my attention. Following Ash as he led me through, I smiled at them and did my best to touch every hand I could without being pulled in or tripping over my own feet. It was such insane energy that I didn't even notice where I had stopped until I looked up and was met with the smile and eyes that had been holding me captive all night.I paused, taking a second to focus on her face and enjoy the feeling I got from her that went straight from my heart to my dick, making it twitch, I grinned, huffing a slight laugh in between lyrics when her cheeks turned a slight shade of red. Without thinking, I reached over and slid the tips of my fingers across her soft cheek, absorbing the intensity from just the single touch of her skin. My heart pounded. I was so fucking turned on by her and I knew my face gave it away, but I didn't care; not right now. Especially when she pressed her cheek harder into my fingers. Moving the mic away from my mouth, thankful it was near the end of the song, the two of us just stood there staring at one another as if trying to commit to memory all the little things about each other’s faces that we could, That's when the idea of meeting with her crossed my mind and how easy it would be to bring her to the green room.
Ash tugged on my arm indicating I needed to get back on stage, but before I could go, she grabbed me by the wrist, making my head snap back and look at her. Her hand slipped into mine and we both squeezed the other's at the same time, smiling. She giggled, and I winked at her as we released our grips until our fingers were the only thing holding us together. The longer we held on to each other, the harder I felt the need for her grow. That strong magnetic pull in her eyes came back, encouraging me to bring her hand to my lips and kiss the tops of her knuckles. She gasped, hand flying up over her mouth. I suddenly felt like I had won the round with her. I shot off like a bullet, back on to the stage, and finished the song with a massive bang. That was it; the end of the tour.
I met the guys behind the stage, listening to the applause that continued to grow. We went.back out as the lights came on and the ending song played, waving good-bye, tossing things out into the crowd, and soaking up all the appreciation and love. Squatting down, I reached out to her stretching out as far as I could to grab her hand. Climbing the metal barricade, she did the same and when she took my hand it felt like time had just stopped. Our gaze on one another was fixed, neither one of us moving or saying a word. What was happening between us had never happened to me before and from the expression on her face, it was the same for her. She never made an attempt to move away or scream and freak out like the other girls were doing around her; she just held my hand and stared. Jolly nudged me, letting me know we had to go, and reluctantly let go of her hand. But I motioned for her to stay where she was, hoping she understood even though she shook her head. I nodded and kept my eyes on her, running off stage and grabbing a security guard and instructed him to bring her back to the green room.
A hard knot formed in the pit of my stomach, making me nauseous. I was pacing the floor, fidgeting, and trying not to wonder what was taking them so long.
"You need to relax, Noah."
I glared at Nicholas who was busy drawing on a napkin at the table in the corner.
The door flew open and my head jerked around, but I was disappointed when I saw it was only Matt.
"The was the fucking shit you guys! You were awesome,” he congratulated us. The others were appreciative and thrilled, but I just grumbled and went back to pacing nervously. Matt  looked from me, to the others, and then back to me. "What's wrong? What happened?" taking a can of Dr. Pepper from the fridge and cracking it open.
"Noah may or may not have done something a little stupid," Nicholas told him.
"Stupid as in that one time when Folio went skinny-dipping in twenty-five-degree weather in Colorado?" Matt teased, giving Folio a playful grin.
"Hey to be fair I was really drunk that night. I don't even remember the reason why I did that, now that I think about it."
"Because some girl told you she'd make out with you if you did. Of course she was lying." Jolly reasoned, throwing a grape in his mouth.
"Oh, shit yeah. Now I remember. She had a boyfriend didn't she?"
"Yeah she did, and that mother fucker was pissed at you when you climbed out of the pool, ass naked and shivering."
The room ignited in laughter that even I couldn't resist laughing as I recalled that night so long ago. That was during the van years when Sarah and I were still together; right before I asked her to marry me.
A knock came from the door and it slowly opened. The guard walked in, but he was alone and from the look on his face I knew the news he was about to give me wasn't what I wanted to hear. "I couldn't find her. I went to where you told me, searched for the blue hoodie, but had no luck. I even went on stage and looked down into the crowd. Sorry, Noah." I gave a small smile and thanked him. The guard left, closing the door behind him. Suddenly my hear felt like it had just dived off a cliff and splatter on the ground. Matt looked around the room, utterly confused. "Uh, what the hell did I just miss?" Groaning, I started searching for my hoodie, desperately  needing some air.
"There was this girl in the crowd that Noah kind of got attached to. He sent the security guard out to look for her and bring her back here, but I'm guessing she left already."
Matt's mouth fell open. "Really, Noah?"
I ignored him, wondering where in the hell my hoodie was.
"Well it's probably a good thing she couldn't be found. Probably would have ended horribly anyway. Either way, sorry man." I knew he meant for his apology to sound sincere, but it really didn't
"Where is my fucking hoodie!" I yelled, no longer able to control my frustration. I didn’t want to think about her anymore and was failing at my attempt to do so. I had an unnatural craving for her now, maybe because I knew I couldn’t have her. Grumbling again, I continued my search.
"Oh my bad, brother," Folio apologized, pulling my black sweatshirt out from underneath him and handing it to me. I took it, and threw it on, eager to get out of there and into the night air.
"Well, anyway, there is a small local bar not far from here that offered us its space for our small post tour celebration. The owner asked only for a small fee so everyone is heading that way." The guys all got up and started getting their stuff together, while I headed toward the door.
"Noah," Matt called. I turned and looked at him. "Don't do anything stupid." I didn't answer, only turned back around and walked out the door, heading towards the back entrance. "I'll text you the address of the bar," Matt yelled after me. “Remember, she’s probably not worth it!”
Matt's words lingered in the back of my mind as I walked away from the venue. My mind refused to let up on the grip it had on her. What would make her leave like she did? Did the things that went on between us not mean the same to her the way they meant to me? Matt was right; it all probably would have ended horribly, and maybe she wasn’t worth it. Or maybe he was wrong. Either way I wouldn't forget her face, her smile, the intense feelings my body felt each time I looked at her. I wouldn't forget how soft her skin felt, the excitement in her eyes when she looked at me, the way she made me hard just by her presence. Shoving my hands deep into the pockets of my hoodie, I hung my head feeling completely and utterly low. I made my way into the bright city lights, hoping to forget about the face that would haunt me for a long time.
Tw vent, sch00l shootings, depression, mentions of S/A and abus3.. overdose, death talk?
Err, this post might be a little long- I'm writing out what happened.
I'm still processing this so I'm sorry if my art isn't sparkly cute or this isn't a pretty post. I normally dont speak about my life but I needed an outlet to speak about this. I'm still very shaken up so I'm sorry if this comes out randomly.
I uh, experienced something pretty traumatizing today. A party I was prepared for and even did my nails and freaked out about dresses and laughed with my friend groups basically just.. turned into hell. From the start theres videos of me at taco bell with friends, seeing and meeting up to music and all- before i realized i might of di3d today. And I HARDLY draw vent art or cry in front of people but- one of my friends ran up as the music paused and told us somebody had a gun. I just ran.
All I can really remember is calling my family and saying goodbye as I pushed by a crowd of people sobbing and screaming. It was horrible. I mean, I have a fear of death like no other and well- I was having about six panic attacks and adrenaline. I ignored all my friends shouting for me and just RAN. I don't know where, I just shoved whoever it was and hid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I heard a few people in the group couldn't be found until much later and I was practically sobbing once I get out of a wall I was hiding behind, deciding to start calling my family. I could hear my mother trying to understand my sobs of "I'm so sorry" for everything. Even the abuse she put me through, I know i caused so much trouble for her too. I was practically sobbing out my goodbyes as my friends tried to comfort me. It was humiliating to cry in public, something I swore I'd never do again but SURE ENOUGH I was sobbing on whoever would comfort me.
I called my mom, and then my brother- who practically started screaming and sobbing about me. It made me comforted to see him rush out and drive to me, calling the police like so many others did, and sob to me like I was already dead. It was surreal, I could hardly notice the pain in my shoes or the stupid flowers my friends dad got me.
It was traumatizing. Just like my S/A or my parents abuse all together, i could see multiple cop cars and rumors spread around and I just felt numb? I couldn't breathe at all and all I could really do was sob again and again. I feared my life for the first time.
I remember when the music stopped I thought it was some fight. A kid already had gotten an overdose and two kids got caught getting handsy in a bathroom stall- I assumed it was some dramatic thing that happened at a party. Not a shooting.
When my brother rushed past a ton of red lights and my mother ran out of her party gathering, my father was already gone a country away getting his surgery. I didn't care, I called him and by all the stress and sobbing I thought he didn't care. I was so wrong about this and I'm honestly thankful nobody got hurt. I remember my brother just pulling over and hugging me when I got in the car, sobbing into my shoulder and freaking out more then I ever did.
He promised he'd buy me whatever I wanted, and I said some stupid fast food place. By the time we were far from the conflict and I called my family to tell them I was okay- it was weird. I just couldn't stop laughing and sobbing, when we got home we watched sonic and it felt so- surreal. Like I could of died and never got to see movies or my parents ever again. I was texting friends, informing people of what happened, and trying to understand through all these different voices what happened. But by then I shut my phone off and just let my mom cry into my shoulder.
I urge people to talk to their families and well- I don't know really. Take into account shit like this can happen, especially in private schools in America. Some idiot can threaten out their gun and ruin a night that was meant to be fun. This fueled my growing fear of death at every turn, so I fear this might make me fall into another depression pit. I already see my friends moving on and I feel stupid- so I wanted to vent about it to just- bring those feelings out there.
Love your family.
ON WITH THE SHOW!!~
______________Chapter 5: A Gathering of Friends__________________
[Name] found herself standing on the soft sands of a secluded beach, the rhythmic lull of the ocean waves creating a soothing backdrop. The moonlight painted the scene in silver hues, illuminating the world in an ethereal glow.
Beside her stood Mihawk, his presence both commanding and comforting. They walked in companionable silence for a while, the only sounds being the gentle lapping of the waves and the occasional call of a night bird. Finally, they reached a small, intimate cove where Mihawk had set up a modest picnic. A simple but elegant spread of fruits, cheeses, and wine awaited them.
"Tell me," Mihawk said, his deep voice breaking the silence as they settled onto the blanket. "What are your thoughts on love?"
[Name] looked into his golden eyes, feeling a mixture of warmth and curiosity. She took a moment to ponder his question, her thoughts drifting to the many forms of love she had witnessed and experienced.
"Love is complex," she began softly. "It's not just about passion or desire. It's about understanding, trust, and sometimes sacrifice. It's a bond that can give you strength but also make you vulnerable."
Mihawk nodded thoughtfully, his eyes never leaving hers. "And do you think it's worth the risk?"
Before [Name] could answer, the dream began to fade, the edges of the cove blurring and dissolving into a haze. She woke with a start, her hand instinctively reaching under the pillow where she knew Buggy kept a knife. In one swift motion, she grabbed it and threw it towards the direction of the voice that had stirred her.
"Well, I see you're still as fun as ever," a familiar voice remarked with a hint of amusement. Blinking the sleep from her eyes, [Name] focused on the figure standing at the foot of the bed. It was Alvida, her curvaceous form outlined by the soft morning light filtering through the porthole. She was smiling, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Alvida," [Name] sighed, a smile tugging at her lips. She relaxed, her heartbeat slowing down from its initial adrenaline-fueled pace. Alvida sauntered over, smoothing [Name]'s hair with a gentle hand.
"Buggy's making breakfast," she said, her tone softening. "I thought I'd come and wake you."
"Thanks," [Name] replied, sitting up and stretching. She glanced around the room, her eyes falling on Buggy's closet. "Do you mind if I borrow a shirt?"
"Go ahead," Alvida said, stepping back to give her some space.
[Name] slipped out of bed and walked over to the closet, pulling out a loose, comfortable shirt that belonged to Buggy. As she slipped it on, her gaze fell on a small stash of photos tucked under Buggy's pillow. Curious, she picked them up, sitting back on the bed to examine them. The first few photos were of Buggy and Shanks, their youthful faces beaming with joy, the pictures clearly having been taped back together after being torn apart.
She smiled at the sight of them, their camaraderie evident even in the still images. Then she found a photo that made her pause. It was of her, Mihawk, Shanks, and Buggy, much younger and full of life. They stood together, arms around each other, (Or at least Mihawk had rested his hand on your hip before Buggy freaked out) their smiles wide and genuine. She ran her fingers over the image, tracing the faces of her old friends and recalling the memories they had shared.
The details in the photo were vivid: Mihawk's intense gaze, Shanks' carefree grin, Buggy's exaggerated expressions, and her own younger self, caught in a moment of unguarded happiness. The edges of the photo were worn, showing signs of age and frequent handling. A wave of nostalgia washed over her, mingling with the remnants of her dream. She couldn't help but smile, despite the bittersweet tinge of the memories.
"You okay?" Alvida's voice brought her back to the present. [Name] looked up, meeting Alvida's concerned gaze. She nodded, slipping the photos back under the pillow. "Yeah, just... reminiscing."
Alvida smiled gently. "Come on, let's go see what Buggy's burnt this time."
[Name] chuckled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She stood up, giving Alvida a grateful look. "Lead the way."
As they left the room, the scent of butter cooking wafted through the air, mingling with the promise of a new day. You decided to keep that memory you dreamt of to yourself.
You and Alvida made your way down the narrow hallway of the ship, the creaking of the wooden floorboards accompanying their steps. The scent of something delicious wafted through the air, making your stomach rumble in anticipation. As they entered the kitchen, the sight that greeted [Name] made her stop in her tracks. Buggy stood at the stove, a spatula in hand, flipping pancakes with a surprisingly deft hand. The counter was a mess, flour and batter splattered everywhere, but the smell was unmistakably enticing.
"Christmas day in the morning!" [Name] exclaimed, her eyes wide with delight. Even though it wasn't Christmas, the sight of Buggy cooking her favorite breakfast filled her with an unexpected warmth.
Buggy turned around, a grin spreading across his (for once) bare face. "Good morning, [Name]," he said, stepping over and planting a quick kiss on her cheek. "I figured I'd surprise you with breakfast."
[Name] felt a blush creep up her cheeks as she smiled back at him. "You certainly did. I thought you gave up cooking."
"Don't get too excited," Buggy said with a chuckle, handing her a stack of plates and cutlery. "Why don’t you set the table while I finish up here?"
As [Name] started arranging the plates and silverware on the small, rickety table, Alvida leaned against the counter, watching Buggy with an amused expression. "I never thought I'd see the day when the great Buggy the Clown is flipping pancakes."
Buggy rolled his eyes, though a smile played on his lips. "Don't make a big deal out of it, Alvida. Even a captain needs to eat."
Alvida smirked, folding her arms. "Oh, I'm not complaining. Just enjoying the show."
Buggy flipped another pancake, his movements fluid and practiced. "You just wait. These are going to be the best pancakes you've ever had."
"Bold claim," Alvida retorted, raising an eyebrow. "Let’s see if you can back it up."
[Name] couldn't help but laugh as she finished setting the table. The banter between Buggy and Alvida was a familiar and comforting sound, one that made the Big Top feel more like a home. As she placed the last fork down, she noticed Buggy sneaking glances over his shoulder. "Something wrong, Bugg's?"
Just as Buggy was about to serve the first pancake, a familiar voice echoed from the doorway. "Well, isn't this a cozy little scene?"
[Name] turned abruptly, her heart skipping a beat. Standing in the doorway was none other than Shanks, his trademark red hair and jovial smile instantly recognizable. He leaned casually against the frame, his eyes twinkling with amusement, and a basket of smoked salmon on his arm.
"Shanks!" [Name] exclaimed, a mix of surprise and joy flooding her. "What are you doing here?" You practically jumped over the table and threw yourself in the arm of the other man you could call your brother. He received you with much vigor, his warmth flooding into your bones and causing you to sigh out contently like a pleased cat. Shanks grinned wider, stepping into the kitchen while balancing you and the fish basket with an easy grace. "I heard there were pancakes. Thought I'd drop by and see for myself."
Buggy groaned, though there was a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. "Of course you'd show up now, you red-haired freeloader."
Shanks laughed, the sound infectious and warm. "Can't help myself, Buggy. You always did know how to make a mean pancake." Alvida raised an eyebrow, looking between Buggy and Shanks with a smirk. "This just keeps getting better. Should I set another place at the table?"
"Yes, please," Shanks said, moving to give [Name] a quick squeeze before setting her down. "It's good to see you, [Name]. It's been too long." [Name] let her arms remain around Shanks' middle, feeling a surge of affection for the man who had been a part of her life for so long. "It's good to see you too, Shanks. You always know how to make an entrance."
As Shanks and [Name] settled at the table, Buggy began serving the pancakes, each one a golden, fluffy masterpiece. Alvida helped distribute the plates, and soon the small kitchen was filled with the sounds of clinking cutlery and happy chatter. Buggy took his seat, looking around at the familiar faces with a satisfied expression. "Well, dig in, everyone. Let's see if these pancakes live up to the hype."
[Name] took a bite, the warm, buttery flavor melting in her mouth. She closed her eyes, savoring the taste. "Christmas day in the morning indeed," she murmured, smiling at Buggy. "These are amazing, Buggy."
Buggy's cheeks turned a faint pink, and he ducked his head slightly, clearly pleased with the compliment. "Glad you like them," he muttered.
Shanks chuckled, taking a large bite of his own pancake. "I have to admit, Buggy, these are pretty fantastic. You've outdone yourself." Alvida nodded in agreement, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Looks like you've got a new calling, Buggy. Master pancake chef." Buggy waved a hand dismissively, though he couldn't hide the grin on his face. "Alright, alright. Enough about the pancakes. Let's just enjoy breakfast."
As they ate, the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and the occasional teasing remark. For [Name], it was a moment of pure contentment, surrounded by people she cared about deeply. The memories of past adventures and the bonds forged over time made this simple meal feel like a celebration. While the last pancake was devoured and the plates were cleared away, [Name] leaned back in her chair, a satisfied smile on her lips.
"Thank you, Buggy. This was perfect." Buggy looked at her, his expression softening. "Anything for you, [Name]." Shanks raised his glass, a twinkle in his eye. "To friends, old and new. And to many more breakfasts like this one." "Here, here," Alvida chimed in, lifting her own glass. They all clinked their glasses together, the sound a harmonious note in the morning air. For [Name], it was a wonderful to finally have the men she called her brothers by her side and the only other woman she could trust to keep an eye on them.
'Coming here was the right decision after all.'
As the breakfast plates were cleared away and the remnants of their meal were tucked into the sink, the conversation took on a more relaxed, leisurely pace. Shanks, ever the instigator, leaned back in his chair and fixed [Name] with a mischievous grin.
“So, [Name],” he began, drawing out the words with exaggerated casualness, “tell us more about your little crush on Mihawk.”
[Name] felt her cheeks heat up immediately, and she rolled her eyes in a futile attempt to deflect the attention. “Oh, come on, Shanks. Do we really have to go there?”
Buggy, who had been sipping his coffee, nearly choked with laughter. “Oh, absolutely. This is prime breakfast conversation material.”
Alvida smirked, leaning forward with keen interest. “Yes, do tell. How did you get tangled up with that stoic swordsman, again?”
[Name] groaned, burying her face in her hands. “You guys are terrible.”
Shanks laughed, a rich, infectious sound. “We’re just looking out for you, like good big brothers should. Besides, it’s not every day we get to hear about someone actually catching Dracule Mihawk’s attention.” He tried reaching for Buggy's hand before the Blue clown slapped it away with a loud "Whap". However, that didn't deter the red head next to him. If anything, it caused Shanks smile to get even wider.
Buggy nodded, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Yeah, you must have some sort of magic charm. The guy’s as prickly as a cactus stuck in someones ass and about as sociable as one too.”
[Name] sighed, but there was a hint of a smile on her lips. “Fine, fine. If you must know, it’s not like I planned it. It just… happened. We do actually like living together, and he’s surprisingly thoughtful when he wants to be.”
Shanks raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Thoughtful, huh? That’s a side of Mihawk I’ve never seen. Must be something special about you, [Name].”
Buggy chuckled, leaning back with a smug look. “Oh, definitely. She’s got the magic touch, alright. I’m just surprised she hasn’t run him through with his own sword yet.”
[Name] shot him a playful glare. “Oh, please. He’s not that bad. And for your information, we do typically travel and stay in the same areas together.”
Shanks leaned forward, his expression earnest but still laced with amusement. “So, what’s it like being in a relationship with the world’s greatest swordsman? Do you two spar with each other, or is it all moonlit dinners and quiet conversations?”
[Name] laughed, shaking her head. “A little bit of both, actually. He’s intense, but he’s also got this softer side that he doesn’t show to many people. It’s… complicated, but in a good way.”
Alvida’s eyes softened, and she reached over to squeeze [Name]’s hand. “I’m happy for you, [Name]. You deserve someone who sees you for who you are.”
Buggy, not one to let the moment stay too serious for long, leaned over and nudged [Name] with his elbow. “Just promise us one thing. If he ever gets too serious or brooding, remind him that you’ve got a whole crew of big brothers who are more than willing to knock some sense into him.”
Shanks nodded vigorously. “Absolutely. We’re always here for you, [Name].”
[Name] smiled, feeling a warm surge of affection for the people around her. “Thanks, guys. That means a lot.”
Buggy, ever the clown, couldn’t resist adding one more jab. “Just make sure he knows that if he breaks your heart, he’ll have to answer to us. And believe me, we can be pretty creative when it comes to payback.” "Oh yeah, the blue waffle clown and a drunk flirt, so scary!~ HEY! He kicked me!" You kicked Buggy's shin back before the room filled with laughter, the sound echoing off the walls and mingling with the morning sunlight streaming through the windows. For a moment, [Name] allowed herself to bask in the warmth and camaraderie, grateful for the bonds that tied them all together.
As the laughter subsided, Shanks leaned back in his chair with a satisfied sigh. “Alright, enough about Mihawk. Let’s talk about what’s next for us. Adventures to plan, seas to sail…”
Buggy grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “And plenty of trouble to get into, I’m sure.”
[Name] felt her heart swell with a mix of excitement and contentment. No matter where life took them, she knew she could always count on these moments of joy and camaraderie with the people she loved most. And that, more than anything, made her feel truly at home.
---------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Dracule Mihawk stood at the bow of his sleek black ship, the winds of the Grand Line whipping through his hair as he stared out at the endless expanse of the sea. His mind was consumed with thoughts of [Name], her presence lingering in his thoughts like a persistent melody. He had never been one for sentimentality, but there was something about her that stirred emotions he had long thought dormant.
As he sailed toward his destination, Mihawk found himself contemplating his next move. He had sought out Zoro under the guise of training the young swordsman, but in truth, he had been searching for answers—answers to questions he couldn’t bring himself to voice aloud. He needed guidance, someone to help him navigate the turbulent waters of his own emotions.
"And what of her?" Mihawk murmured to himself, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "What role does she play in all of this?"
The sea offered no answers, only the rhythmic crash of waves against the ship's hull. But Mihawk pressed onward, his resolve unwavering. He knew that he had to confront his feelings head-on, no matter how daunting the prospect may be.
Mihawk stood on the deck of his ship, his expression unreadable as Zoro approached him, a curious glint in his eye. Perona hovered nearby, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
"What's going on, Mihawk?" Zoro asked, his tone serious. "Why are we really heading to the Red Line?" Mihawk's gaze flickered towards Zoro before returning to the horizon. "We're going to seek answers," he replied cryptically. "There are matters that need to be addressed." Zoro frowned, sensing that Mihawk was evading the question. "Answers? From who?"
Before Mihawk could respond, Perona huffed impatiently. "Stop beating around the bush, Mihawk. We all know why you're really going to the Red Line."
Mihawk raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting to Perona. "And why is that, Perona?" Perona's eyes narrowed. "Because of [Name]. You can't hide it forever, you know." Zoro's eyes widened in surprise, his gaze darting between Mihawk and Perona. "What? What does [Name] have to do with this?" Mihawk sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's complicated, Zoro. There are feelings involved—"
"Feelings?" Zoro interrupted, his voice incredulous. "You mean... romantic feelings?" Perona nodded emphatically. "Exactly! Mihawk has been pining after [Name] for ages, but he's too stubborn to admit it." Mihawk's cheeks tinged pink, a rare display of embarrassment. "Perona, that's enough. This is not something to be discussed so casually." Perona rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. Like it's not painfully obvious to everyone except you."
Zoro shifted uncomfortably, feeling like an awkward bystander in the midst of their conversation. "Um, yeah. I think I'm gonna go train," he muttered, edging away slowly.
Mihawk sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Zoro, wait." Zoro paused, looking back at Mihawk expectantly. Mihawk hesitated for a moment before speaking, his voice soft but firm. "Yes, it's true. I have feelings for [Name]." Perona's eyes widened in excitement, and she let out a delighted squeal. "I knew it!" Zoro blinked in surprise, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "Uh, I'll just... go train now." As Zoro hurried off, Perona turned back to Mihawk, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Well, now that you've admitted it, what are you going to do about it?"
Mihawk sighed, his gaze drifting out to sea. "I suppose we'll just have to see what the future holds." Perona grinned, linking her arm with Mihawk's. "I can't wait to see how this unfolds."
As the ship sailed towards the Red Line, Mihawk couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within him. And so, with a sense of determination that belied his stoic demeanor, Mihawk set his course for the Red Line, where he knew he would find the one man who could offer him the insight he sought: Red-Haired Shanks.
It was a journey fraught with uncertainty, but Mihawk pressed onward, his resolve unwavering. Along the way, fate saw fit to throw him an unexpected curveball in the form of Vice Admiral Garp, the legendary Marine known far and wide as the Hero of the Marines.
Their encounter was brief but enlightening, Garp’s gruff demeanor belying a wisdom that Mihawk had not anticipated. The old Marine spoke of love and loss, of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of seizing the moments that truly mattered. It was advice that struck a chord with Mihawk, resonating deep within his soul.
"As always, Garp, your words are both insightful and cryptic," Mihawk remarked, a rare hint of amusement in his voice.
Garp chuckled, a twinkle in his eye. "Ain't that the way of it, lad? Sometimes, you gotta read between the lines to find the truth."
As they conversed, Mihawk couldn’t help but notice the presence of a few familiar faces among Garp's company. Sitting at a nearby table were Luffy, Ace and Sabo, their laughter ringing out as they regaled the old Marine with tales of their latest adventures. And beside them sat Uta, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she teased the two brothers mercilessly.
Their reunion was a bittersweet one, the weight of their shared past hanging heavy in the air. But amidst the laughter and the banter, Mihawk found himself feeling strangely at peace, as if for the first time in a long while, he was exactly where he was meant to be.
As their conversation turned to more serious matters, Garp mentioned something that gave Mihawk pause. “You know, Mihawk,” the old Marine began, his voice grave, “the civilians think [Name] is dead. Ax-Hand Morgan has been searching for her, but so far, he’s come up empty-handed.”
Mihawk’s brow furrowed in concern, his thoughts turning to [Name] and the danger that seemed to follow her wherever she went. “I see,” he murmured, his mind racing with possibilities. It was a sobering reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows, dangers that threatened to tear them apart.
But even as the weight of the world bore down upon him, Mihawk felt a glimmer of hope stirring within his heart. For in that moment, he thought about what it would be like to have [Name] by his side. As they disembarked from the ship, Zoro shot Mihawk a sideways glance, his expression unreadable behind his usual stoicism. "So, where to next, Boss?" he asked, his tone casual but his eyes betraying a hint of curiosity.
Mihawk cast a brief glance over his shoulder, his gaze lingering on the bustling streets of the port town. "I have business to attend to," he replied cryptically, his voice low and measured. "You two are free to do as you please."
But to his surprise, Zoro and Perona exchanged a meaningful look before nodding in unison. "We'll stick around," Zoro said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "You might need our help."
Mihawk arched an eyebrow in mild surprise, but said nothing as he led the way through the crowded streets, his mind already turning to the task at hand.
It didn't take long for them to reach their destination—a quaint little bar tucked away in a quiet corner of the town. As Mihawk stepped inside, he was greeted by the familiar scent of stale ale and the low murmur of conversation. It was a far cry from the opulent halls of his castle, but there was a certain charm to the place that Mihawk found oddly comforting.
As he made his way to a secluded corner of the bar, Mihawk motioned for Zoro and Perona to join him, their presence a silent reassurance in the face of what was to come.
It wasn't long before Shanks made his entrance, his trademark grin lighting up the room as he sauntered over to their table. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my old friend Mihawk," he said jovially, clapping the swordsman on the back in greeting. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Mihawk's expression remained impassive as he gestured for Shanks to take a seat, his gaze unwavering. "We need to talk," he said simply, his voice devoid of its usual edge.
Shanks raised an eyebrow in surprise, but complied, settling into the seat opposite Mihawk with a bemused smile. "Talk about what?" he asked, his tone light but tinged with curiosity.
Mihawk's eyes locked onto Shanks'. "I have acquired certain affections for your sister."
Shanks blinked, the smile slipping from his face as he processed Mihawk's words. "You're serious," he said, leaning forward slightly, his tone now serious.
Mihawk nodded. "I am. These feelings have been growing for some time now."
Shanks rubbed his chin thoughtfully, a myriad of emotions flickering across his face. "And what do you plan to do about it?" he asked, his voice carefully neutral.
Mihawk exhaled slowly, his gaze never leaving Shanks'. "I intend to pursue her, but I felt it necessary to speak with you first. Out of respect."
As Mihawk and Shanks delved into the depths of their conversation, memories of the past resurfaced like specters from the shadows, haunting and bittersweet.
"Do you remember when Buggy introduced you to her?" Shanks asked, his voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia. "Smaller than a dust mite and fiercely strong. She was quite the character, wasn't she?"
Mihawk couldn't help but chuckle at the mention of her name, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "How could I forget?" he replied, his voice soft with reminiscence. "She was a force to be reckoned with, that's for sure."
Shanks nodded in agreement, a wistful smile playing on his lips. "I still can't believe she managed to outsmart both of us," he mused, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "That woman was something else."
Mihawk couldn't help but laugh at the memory, the sound ringing out like a bell in the quiet confines of the bar. "Indeed she was," he agreed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "But I suppose that's what makes her so captivating."
"She's something special, isn't she?" Shanks remarked, his gaze lingering on Mihawk with an intensity that bordered on scrutiny.
Mihawk nodded in silent agreement, his thoughts drifting to the woman who had become his constant companion, his confidante, his... everything. "She is," he agreed quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "And I would do anything to keep her safe."
There was a gravity to his words, a solemnity that hung in the air like a shroud as they sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. But amidst the uncertainty and the doubt, there was a glimmer of hope—a hope that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, bound by bonds stronger than steel.
But it was also when the conversation turned to the future that things took a decidedly somber turn. "What if she wanted to leave?" Shanks asked quietly, his gaze piercing as he locked eyes with Mihawk. "What if she wanted to return to a life at sea?"
Mihawk hesitated, his mind racing as he considered the question. It was a possibility he had not allowed himself to entertain, a fear that had lurked in the darkest corners of his heart. But now, faced with the reality of the situation, he knew he had no choice but to confront it head-on.
"If that's what she truly wanted," he said at last, his voice barely above a whisper, "then I would have no right to stand in her way. But I would be lying if I said it wouldn't hurt."
There was a heaviness to his words, a weight that hung in the air between them as they sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts.
Shanks leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "You realize this isn't something to take lightly, Mihawk. [Name] is... well, she's special."
"I am fully aware," Mihawk replied, his voice firm. "And I do not intend to take this lightly. My feelings for her are genuine."
There was a moment of silence as Shanks studied Mihawk's face, searching for any hint of insincerity. Finding none, he finally nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Well, if anyone can handle her, it's you. Just don't break her heart, Mihawk."
Mihawk inclined his head slightly. "You have my word."
Shanks chuckled, the tension in the room easing slightly. "Alright, then. Guess I'll have to get used to seeing you around more often."
Mihawk allowed a rare, faint smile to touch his lips. "Indeed."
As the two old friends sat in companionable silence, the weight of the conversation lingered between them, a silent acknowledgment of the new path Mihawk had chosen to take.
Shanks fiddled with a gold chain around his neck, his fingers tracing the delicate links. "You know, Buggy isn't going to like this."
Mihawk's eyes caught the glint of the chain before he rolled them, exasperation clear on his face. "I truly do not understand how the two of them could be so close."
Shanks smirked, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Watch it now, Hawk Eyes. That's how you fucked around and found out the last time."
Both men chuckled, the shared memory lightening the mood. Shanks stood, stretching slightly. "Well, I need to make a phone call. Excuse me for a moment."
Mihawk nodded, watching as Shanks walked away, the gold chain catching the light with each step. As Shanks disappeared from view, Mihawk allowed himself a moment of contemplation, the weight of the conversation settling in. Whatever lay ahead, he was ready to face it, knowing he had the support of an old friend and the resolve to follow his heart.
Mihawk sat quietly at the bar, his drink in hand, contemplating the conversation he had just had with Shanks. The dim light of the room cast shadows across his face, highlighting the intensity of his thoughts.
The door to the bar swung open, and Zoro and Perona walked in, their expressions determined. Zoro spotted Mihawk and headed straight for him, Perona following close behind.
"Mihawk," Zoro said, his voice carrying a hint of excitement. "Perona and I have decided we're going to stay with Luffy for a while."
Mihawk raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Is that so? And what brings about this decision?" Zoro smirked. "We have our reasons. Let's just say it's time for a change of scenery." Perona nodded enthusiastically. "Besides, I miss annoying those idiots. It'll be fun." Before Mihawk could respond, the door burst open again, and the full Strawhat crew poured into the bar, filling the room with their lively chatter. Luffy led the way, his trademark grin plastered across his face.
"Hey, Mihawk!" Luffy called out, waving energetically. "What are you doing here?"
Mihawk raised his glass in a silent greeting, his eyes scanning the familiar faces. Along with the Strawhats were Uta, Ace, Sabo, and Law, each adding their own unique presence to the gathering.
Nami was the first to notice Mihawk's contemplative expression. "What's going on, Mihawk? You look like you've got something on your mind."
Usopp grinned, nudging Sanji. "Maybe he's in love or something!"
Sanji raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Who would have thought? The great Hawkeye Mihawk, in love?"
Robin's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Is that true, Mihawk? Do you have feelings for someone?"
Mihawk sighed, knowing there was no avoiding the onslaught of questions. "Yes, it's true. I have feelings for [Name]."
The room erupted into a chorus of excited chatter and encouragement. Luffy, in his usual exuberant manner, jumped onto the nearest table. "That's awesome! You should tell her!"
Nami nodded, a knowing smile on her face. "Luffy's right. You shouldn't keep your feelings to yourself."
Zoro crossed his arms, grinning. "About time you made a move, Mihawk."
Uta chimed in, her voice sweet and teasing. "Just be honest with her. She deserves to know."
Ace clapped Mihawk on the back, his grin wide. "Go for it, Mihawk. Life's too short to hold back."
Sabo nodded in agreement. "You'll regret it if you don't take this chance."
Law, standing off to the side, gave a rare smile. "It's not often we see you vulnerable, Mihawk. Use that to your advantage."
Perona's eyes gleamed with mischief. "Just don't mess it up, or I'll never let you hear the end of it."
Even Chopper and Brook joined in, offering their support. "You can do it, Mihawk!" Chopper cheered, while Brook added, "Love is a beautiful thing, yohoho!"
Franky, flexing his muscles, gave Mihawk a thumbs up. "Show her your super side, Mihawk!"
Jinbe stepped forward, his deep voice steady. "Matters of the heart require great courage, Mihawk. We believe in you."
Mihawk looked around at the enthusiastic faces surrounding him, feeling a mixture of amusement and gratitude. Their encouragement was unexpected but not unwelcome.
"Alright," Mihawk said, his voice steady but filled with determination. "I'll tell her."
The room erupted into cheers, the Strawhat crew and their honorary members celebrating Mihawk's resolve. As the noise subsided, Mihawk felt a sense of clarity and purpose. Whatever challenges lay ahead, he knew he wasn't alone, and with that, he slipped out the back of the bar to find the Blue haired Freak she loved so much.
------------------------- Bonus part:
As the bar's atmosphere buzzed with excitement over Mihawk's revelation, Shanks excused himself to step outside for a moment. He felt the vibration of his den-den mushi in his pocket and answered it, recognizing the familiar voice on the other end.
"Shanks," Buggy's voice crackled through the line, sounding both hesitant and urgent. "I've got something to tell you about [Name]. She confided in me earlier."
Shanks leaned against the wall, a smile playing on his lips. "What is it, Buggy?"
Buggy cleared his throat, his tone shifting from urgent to slightly embarrassed. "She... she mentioned Mihawk. I think she might have feelings for him. She seemed really serious about it."
Shanks chuckled softly. "Funny you should mention that. I just had a talk with Mihawk. He confessed he's got feelings for [Name] too."
Buggy's eyes widened on the other end of the line. "You're kidding. Mihawk? The guy who treats emotions like they're some kind of disease?"
"Yep," Shanks replied, still smiling. "Seems our sister friend has managed to break through that icy exterior of his."
There was a brief silence before Buggy spoke again, his voice softer. "You should come over, Shanks. I think it’d be good for us to be here for her, you know, in case things get complicated."
Shanks couldn't help but tease, his grin widening. "Aww, does the clown prince miss me?"
"Shut up, you red-haired idiot!" Buggy snapped, his voice going up an octave. "This isn't about us. It's about [Name]. She deserves to be happy."
Shanks laughed heartily, the sound warm and genuine. "Alright, alright. I’ll be there in the morning. It’d be nice to see her settle down. And you know what, Buggy? It’s nice to see you care so much."
Buggy huffed, trying to regain his composure. "Yeah, well, don't read too much into it. Just hurry up and get here."
"Will do," Shanks promised, his voice softening. "See you soon, Buggy."
As he ended the call, Shanks felt a sense of anticipation. Tomorrow promised to be an interesting day. He re-entered the bar, catching Mihawk's eye and giving him a reassuring nod. Mihawk returned the gesture, understanding the silent message. With friends and family by their side, the future seemed a little less daunting.
Meanwhile, Buggy sat by [Name]'s side as she slept, watching her peaceful expression. Pulling the covers up to her chin, he felt a strange mix of protectiveness and hope. "Oh babydoll, you don't even know how much we love you." With that, he turned the lantern down and lay down to sleep with his hand on his chest to play with the golden chain that rested underneath his vest.
With Shanks on his way and Mihawk ready to make his move, things were about to get very interesting.
