Cyborg, the Greatest Titan
Tumblr media
(Titans (2023) #7- Cyborg shows why no one can bring him down)
So there was once a seemingly innocuous question asked on Titans Twitter:
Tumblr media
Though some used it to prop up their faves, it turned into a serious and big discussion: Who is the Greatest Titan, epitomizing what it means to be a Titan the most?
There were a variety of answers, majority being one of Dick, Donna, Starfire, Raven, or even Wally. But what I noticed was the surprising lack of one answer: Cyborg.
One of the most popular Titans, whom DC clearly sees as one of the Titans Trinity (upper right corner):
Tumblr media
(The Promotional Art for DC Comics' Dawn of DC Initiative by Dan Mora. Cyborg was to chosen to represent the Titans along with Nightwing and Starfire)
Whose removal from Titans lore caused a massive fan uproar, yet among Titans Twitter, probably the most dedicated of Titan fans, Cyborg's name was barely mentioned as a candidate to be the Greatest Titan:
Victor Stone who at his lowest, found the Titans, a team who became the family he needed who loved him without judgement:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(New Teen Titans #1 - Cyborg meeting the Titans for the first time)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Teen Titans 5x10 "Go" - The prequel episode where all the Titans meet. Cyborg is ashamed of his cyber-mechanics but Beast Boy repeatedly assures him that they are cool and shouldn't be hidden)
The man who took what the Titans did for him and made it his mission to be that for others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(New Teen Titans #22 and Titans Vol 2 #21 - (Left) Cyborg realizes the Titans mean so much to him because they are his friends who helped him not feel alone & (Right) Cyborg's internal monologue about how Titans taught him being part of team and accepting help from others was a good thing)
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans 5x10 "Go" - Assured by Beast Boy, Cyborg tell an ashamed Raven she's a freak among freaks and fits in just fine, a nice callback to his NTT origin)
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans (2003) #1- Cyborg relaunches the Teen Titans to include the upcoming generation of teen heroes so they can have a place to grieve Donna's death & find acceptance)
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans 3x12 - "Titans East" - Cyborg helps establish the first off-shoot of the Teen Titans: Titans East)
He transformed the team from simply being a group of former sidekicks to a safe haven for all teen heroes
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans #100 and Dark Nights: Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe: Together - showcasing the multi-generational roster of Titans that Cyborg helped establish)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Teen Titans 5x12- Titans Together - The global roster of Teen Titans that Cyborg helped to create that expanded from the initial off-shot of Titans East also started by Cyborg)
The Titans Are About A Team of Teens That Grew Into A Family
Tumblr media
(Dark Nights: Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe: Together - Donna talking about how much the Titans grew from a team of 5 into multi-generational families)
A Family of Teenagers that not only help each other in the struggles of being a hero but also the struggles of being an adolescent, having turbulent emotions in a turbulent world
Tumblr media
(Dark Nights: Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe: Together - Donna talking about how much the Titans had it tougher than the League because they had been facing Justice-League-level problems since they were kids, and yet every time still came out on top)
And who has committed to this mission more than Cyborg?
Victor who fought for the team when everyone including past leaders like Dick and Donna walked away:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day and Titans (2008) #21 - Left: After Donna's death, Dick decides to disband the Titans and everyone walked away. Right: After Final Crisis and Prometheus' attack on Roy, nearly all the Titans have left the current Titans roster, but Cyborg stayed fighting for the team)
Why: Because he knew how much future teen heroes needed the Titans. To guide them and give them a home as the Titans did for him long ago
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day and Titans East Special- Left: After Donna's funeral, Cyborg sees members of Young Justice, especially Cassie, not handling Donna's death well and generally feeling worthless and he decides to restart the Titans. Right: Cyborg tried to convince the New Teen Titans and Roy to start up a new team of Teen Titans to help more teen heroes, but they all refused)
Stubbornly keeping Titans alive when everyone else wouldn't, allowing Titans to reach their greatest potential: a global network so any teen of any generation can find a home
Tumblr media
(Dark Nights: Death Metal: The Last Stories of the DC Universe: Together - Titans across generations have gathered to join the fight against Batman Who Laughs)
A man who because the Titans gained utter defiance in who he is, saving not only himself from despair, but also became devoted to giving other teens that same courage, inspiring them to show that they are not freaks nor they are ever alone, thus changing so many lives (go to 2:38 for the start of the iconic speech, but I recommend starting at 2:17)
youtube
(Teen Titans 3x13 - "Titans East" - Cyborg's defiance in who he is prevented him from falling to Blood's mind control, defeating Blood saving his fellow Titans, and thus saving the day)
Victor is not only a candidate to be the Greatest Titan, but ultimately is the Most Deserving.
Cyborg is the Greatest Titan, the Lynchpin, without whom the Titans will not work and ultimately cannot because he believes in it the most and thus embodies its ethos the best
Tumblr media
(Teen Titans #20- Tim Drake realizing how essential Cyborg is to the team and how he changed Tim and helped Tim after the death of Donna)

Drunk Marinette! Adrienette
'Adriennnnnnnn~ I want youuu~'
If Adrien's phone wasn't left charging at home he could've have a gallery full of pictures and videos of Marinette.
A very drunk Marinette.
It all started with a girls night out that Alya had suggested, along with Alix's suggestion of getting themselves hammered for the rest of the night. Juleka and Alix in the end were the ones who could take on their fifth glass of shots, while the others were drunk messes.
Ivan merely carried Mylene all the way to their car, Mylene, despite her small size and usually kind demeanor, had turned into a very dominant being, and Ivan had to hold down the color on his cheeks as Mylene rambled on about the things that was best kept censored.
Alix had to help a struggling Nino, who had to deal with Alya's hallucinations. The upcoming worldwide famous blogger had begun to chase after an imaginary bug heroine and cat hero. And Nino daresay his girlfriend is stronger than she looks.
Juleka only had to drag a tipsy Rose into their car, which was most probably the easiest task out of everyone here.
The girls represent different types of drunks, and most of them were easy to handle, but Marinette is a different story, and that brings them to where they are right now.
Adrien ignored his lady's suggestive words and had finally managed to carry Marinette into their car. He was in the middle of buckling her into her seat when her two tone arms wrapped around his neck, pulling his face close to her red ones. Giggling quietly as she whispered more seductive words into his ear. Her breath is hot and her voice is silky, definitely not helping his hormones at all.
'No Mari, you are drunk, you're not thinking straight,' Adrien strapped her to the chair safely, removing him from her arms and starting the car. Tikki had joined Plagg at the back of the car, giggling softly at the moment.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw her red face in a pouty expression, her bottom lip tugged out and her nose scrunched up, honestly the most adorable sight he had ever seen.
'I am thinking straight, if I'm not then you wouldn't be naked in my eyes right now,' the bluenette giggled seductively. Adrien almost crashed the car, tensing up like a frightened cat, his green eyes connected with his girlfriend's bluebell ones. The blue orbs most definitely checking him out.
Biting his bottom lip, he focused back on the road, attempting to ignore those seductive eyes, he spoke in a voice a bit too hard, 'Marinette, no,' .
He made a mistake.
Terrible one.
Marinette's bottom lip trembled, moisture surrounding her eyes. Adrien stopped at the red light, always the first to apologize, 'No wait, I'm sorry milady, please don't cry,' he panicked, devastated to see his bugaboo cry because of him.
Marinette brought her legs up to her chest, her black leggings complimented her Chat Noir themed blouse well. The woman hiccuped as sobs erupted from her throat, 'You don't love me anymore Adrien! I know I'm fat and ugly and one day you'll finally see that and go for more prettier girls, and then I'll be left alone with no one else to love meeeeee!' .
If this was a serious situation Adrien would go to the ends of the world just for her to be happy but this particular scene was far to funny and adorable to be sad, chuckling softly, Adrien caressed the woman's red cheeks and assured, 'I do love you buginette, oh my goodness you're too adorable for this world. You're not fat and you are most definitely not ugly. I love you and will not leave you, remember that okay?' his adoring eyes reflected in the drunk heroine's watery blue orbs.
Marinette hiccuped softly and wiped her tears away, holding up her pinky finger like a child, she softly spoke, 'Promise?' , Adrien's hear tugged in his chest, his sweet bugaboo is too precious for this world. Holding up his own pinky, he curled it around hers, 'Promise,' .
The cat hero sigh in relief as the woman resulted back into her quirky happy self, giggling at every moving image out of the car window, a whole colorful fantasy displaying in her perspective.
It was when they reached their apartment door did she rushed into their home, already in the bathroom and puking her guts out. Adrien placed his lady's bags down and rushed to her aid, holding her slightly long midnight blue hair away from her face, allowing her to puke a bit more comfortably. Plagg and Tikki followed in with their holders, already reaching their makeshift bed, retiring for the night. It had been a long day.
By the time Marinette finished, she was already collapsing weakly into her kitty's arms, almost passing out. Adrien smile softly, flushing the toilet before assisting her to their room.
After a few years of living together, Adrien and Marinette were both comfortable enough to assist each other in intimate ways. The blond changed her into one of his shirts, as the woman always wore his whenever they went to bed, saying it's much more comfy than her other sleepwear.
As soon as he laid the beautiful girl down onto her side of the bead, Marinette had already curled up into the blankets, fully drifting off to sleep, a contented smile on her lips.
Adrien eyes softened at the beauty, placing a kiss onto her forehead, he went out to clean the place, before collapsing into their bed tiredly, wrapping the girl in his arms, his way of escaping a tired day from work, and an ever more tiring task of taking care of his bug, not that he was complaining though.
__________
Marinette moaned softly in her sleep, waking up from her slumber with a throbbing headache.
She recalled the wild night she and her friends had last night, and memories came flooding into her mind, including parts of blurry images of her emotional outbursts on her boyfriend.
Her blush intensified as she recollected memories of her suggestive words and gestures towards the cat hero, not noticing the blond that was cradling her so gently in his arms had begin stirring awake, soft green orbs observing his lady's current state.
'Morning milady, you were a mess last night,' he reminded, feeling rather mischievous on a Saturday morning. Marinette buried her face into his chest, 'Sorry kitty, I shouldn't have drank too much and cause you trouble,' she mumbled weakly, her voice muffled in his shirt.
Adrien chuckled, 'Trouble? Never princess, you were absolutely adorable last night, it's a shame I left my phone at home, I could have created a new album dedicated to your drunk self bugaboo!' he tapped her nose softly.
Marinette rolled her eyes, 'And your albums of Ladybug and Marinette aren't enough?' she recalled back to the hundreds or maybe even thousands of pictures of herself Adrien had saved in his phone and laptop.
'I can never have enough pictures of you princess. I know beautiful art when I see one, and you my darling, are absolutely ethereal,' his fingers resting on her bottom lip, brushing it softly, watching the woman's cheeks flushed a pink hue.
'Now come on sweetheart, what would you like for breakfast my princess?' Adrien sat up from bed, years of being part of the Dupain-Cheng family the man had learn to make simple dishes for his lady.
Marientte groaned as she felt a wave of dizziness washed into her head, muttering for caffeine and something sweet for her morning hunger.
Adrien rubbed the heroine's temple softly, connecting their lips together, Marinette mumbled a "thank you" as they separated, breathing in his scent in an attempt to soothe her pain.
Adrien could get used to drunk Marinette.

chapter 2
The final bell rang throughout the room, signalling the end of the last subject for the day. However, your professor seems to have a different schedule as he continued discussing the human anatomy all over again. You stared at his powerpoint presentation, trying to keep awake and take notes of what he was saying.
You can hear some of your schoolmates already buzzing and getting ready to pack their things. After ten minutes, your professor finally ended his lecture, but not before leaving a hundred pages of lessons to review for a short quiz on the next meeting. You just let out a sigh as you hear groans of complaints among your schoolmates.
"Do you guys wanna hang out?" You hear someone ask around. "I hear that there is a newly opened pizza place near the bookstore by the street!"
"Yeah! I want to go!"
"I'm in for the food!"
"As long as Irene would go, I will too!"
You didn't bother looking at the crowd forming at the back of the room, and continued packing your things. You never went to any group gatherings anyway, not that they made efforts to invite you in any. You were invisible in their eyes.
You stood up from your seat and quickly went out of the room without a sound. It was just half of the first week of your 3rd year college life, and it was the same as ever. As soon as you saw the lockers by the hallway, you brought out your key. Since it was nearing weekend, you'll start bringing home your books to read.
"You skipped practice on the last two days, man!"
"I was busy—"
"Busy with what?! What is more important than practice?!"
"Sex, man. I'm betting he did—"
"Shut up, Sehun."
That was the last thing you heard before your locker door hit you in the face.
You groaned in pain as you pushed the small locker door away from your sight, looking down at your feet. You cursed in your mind while your hand caressed your reddening cheek.
"Oh shit! I'm so sorry!" You felt a hand touching your shoulder, urging you to turn around. You just waved your other hand without bothering to look back at the person. "I'm so sorry, miss. I-I wasn't looking where I was going—"
"It's okay." You said, just so he will stop talking to you. You flinched as you became aware of his warm slender fingers on top of your shoulder. You moved away from him, closing your locker quickly after getting your books. You locked your locker and silently nodded your head at his direction, being respectful enough to acknowledge his presence and apology.
You held onto your left cheek with a frown as you waited for the bus in the waiting shed. You heard noisy teenagers hanging around the shed, making your eyebrow furrow in annoyance. Your eyes couldn't stop looking at them as you waited.
You saw how much fun they were having.
Their smiles, laughs, and teasings that they share within their circle of friends, you kind of envy their bond. You looked away as you gripped on the straps of your backpack tighter.
How fun.
"I'm home." You said as you entered your apartment. You hear the radio's noise in the kitchen, making you smile. You quickly placed your shoes on the rack, and running to the kitchen. As you saw your roommate by the stove, you grinned in delight.
"My girl is home!" She exclaimed as she noticed your presence by the counter. She's in her baby blue apron with her hair in a messy bun.
"Jiwon-ah." You greeted her as you sat on the tall stool chair by the kitchen island. "You got out of campus early today, huh?"
"Yep! Our prof for the last class was absent, and she just sent us an email for the upcoming quiz." Jiwon shrugged as she looked at the ramen she was cooking. When you met her two years ago, you didn't expect she will be a bubbly person. She's so pretty to the point you got intimidated of her dashing looks. You were not prepared to have someone bright as her to be your roommate in college. "I cannot accept the fact that we're having quizzes in the first week!"
But she was more than her looks. She was talkative, never letting you hear a pin dropping on the floor with her loud voice. She was also outgoing, becoming friends with people from different courses. You won't be surprised if she knows everyone in the campus. Even Irene's group knows her despite being in a different building.
"Me too." You frowned as you remember the hundred pages you need to read this weekend. You might start reading them later if there are no disturbances like Jiwon's loud voice. You were so deep into your thoughts that you didn't notice Jiwon was done cooking and was already beside you as she place a bowl of ramen in front of you.
"Ooh, what the hell happened to your cheek, girl?" She pointed at your cheek, where a small bruise was forming. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion before realizing that that locker door has probably damaged your face more than you thought it did. "Did someone punch you?!"
"No, no. It's an accident." You placed your hand on your cheek and tried pressing it, only to grunt in pain. "Damn, that locker door is harder than it seems."
"What? Someone hit you with a locker door?!"
"It's an accident, Jiwon." You shook your head as you sighed, picking up the chopsticks on your bowl to start eating. "Thanks for cooking ramen."
"Who was it?" She continued questioning you, picking her chopsticks up as well. "Did that person apologize?"
"I don't know who was it. Yes, he did."
"Well, that's good. If he didn't, I would have to find him and kick him where it hurts the most." Jiwon smirked as she munched on her noodles. You just chuckled at her protectiveness and ignored her incoming threats to anyone who tries to hurt her roommate. "I don't like how your batchmates do not want to get close to you. Like you're one of the best people I've ever met, and they're just treating you as an invisible woman."
You felt better chatting with your best friend slash roommate. She was the only one who appreciated you, and treated you as her own sister. She may be clingy most of the time, but she makes you feel accepted in this new environment you are living in.
"Oh! I forgot to ask you if you're interested in working part-time in my aunt's new coffee shop?"
Your eyes widened as you turned to her, full of excitement and curiosity. Jiwon glanced at you and laughed as she shook her head.
"Why did I even ask, you love coffee." She said with a smile, making you nod in agreement.
"I would love to work in a coffee shop, Jiwon!" You responded after you slurped down the soup from your bowl. You worked at the library last year, until you got too busy with school and ended up quitting in the summer. "I was about to seek for part-time jobs around the campus. Thank goodness you asked me."
"Welp, I'm your fairy godmother! It's my responsibility to make your life easier!"
You spent the whole night listening to your best friend's stories and gossips, which you aren't really interested but chose to listen. You enjoyed her company anyway. You looked at your biology book resting on the table in front of you, deciding that you can start reading tomorrow.
"Are you going on Friday?" Jiwon asked you, making you look back at her in confusion. She raised her eyebrows in disbelief. "Of course you don't know about the first football game of the term!"
"Oh, that. What?"
"You're not going as usual? Oh come on! Come with me on Friday!" She pouted while shaking your arm in persuasion. "I'll introduce you to nicer people!"
"I've met your friends, you know. They're not that interested to be—"
"Not Krystal and her entourage! I said nicer people!" She emphasized, her eyes widening as if to prove a point. "I'm certain you will like them!"
"Will they like me though?" You rebutted her, raising your eyebrow. Jiwon huffed, shoulders deflating in defeat. She looks so sad that you almost gave in her favor.
"I'll buy you two corn dogs, extra large fries, and mocha frappe if you go—"
"I will go." You said in a heartbeat as you heard food involved in the deal. "You should have said earlier that you'll provide those."
"You bitch." She laughed as she pinched your cheek. "EXO will be playing, so we need to get there as early as possible or else we won't find any seats."
"EXO?" You mumbled as you tried remembering what or who was that. You just remember hearing the name a year ago when the music festival arrived.
"You don't know them too?!" Your best friend shrieked as she looked at you in disbelief for the nth time tonight. "You've been in the university for two damn years and you don't know them?!"
"Stop screaming, our neighbors will totally report us tomorrow." You rolled your eyes at her. "I've heard of them before, I just can't recall who are they."
Jiwon just sighed in dismay as she leaned her back on the bean bag. You looked at her in expectation, waiting for her long ass explanation. And that is what you get.
"EXO is a group of hot guys, coming from the Engineering, Advertising, Art, and Music departments. Most of them are scholars, and not only they are intelligent, they are also talented. Some participates in dance competitions internationally, and some in band festivals. If not performing arts, intellectual competitions are what they join into!" Jiwon narrated like a storyteller, hands going up in the air as she enthusiastically emphasize her admiration to the said people.
You nodded as you listened to her introduction. Sounds like a popular group.
"They also represent our university's football team!" She exclaimed excitedly, looking at you with a smile. "That's why they are so well-known everywhere. They are just so amazing!"
"I see." You replied to her long explanation, with a serious face as if you were indeed interested in the so-called group of hot guys.
"That's all you can say?"
You shrugged at her dismayed question. She scoffed at your indifference.
"Well, we still need to get on the field real early!"
"Then you need to buy my food as soon as you get out of your class then." You smiled innocently at her frowning face. "I'll head to the field as early as I can and save us seats."
"Hmp, fine!"
You are so looking forward to that most anticipated game.
Really.

The Hairy Who at the Art Institute of Chicago
Tumblr media
detail of a print by Suellen Rocca
Back on the 1950s and ‘60s, the arts in Chicago were often dominated by particular, powerful critics, whose opinions tended to dominate the media. I am old enough to recall the voice of Claudia Cassidy, who reviewed music and theater with a caustic tongue, and who could be heard on local radio stations. Similarly, Harry Bouras opined about the visual art scene in Chicago, and regularly impacted the success or failure of local exhibitions. So one day in the early 1960s, a group of young artists were sitting around discussing this situation, only one of them was unfamiliar with Mr. Bouras, and at a certain point interrupted his colleagues with the question “Harry Who?” The group fell out laughing over this, and quickly realized that, with a little respelling, this could function as the name of the group for an upcoming exhibition. Thus, from a misunderstanding turned joke, was born the Hairy Who.
Of course, one of the best ways for a group of young, ambitious artists to gain recognition is to create a group or movement. “Impressionism” may have originally been a derogatory term, but applied to the work of a group of young French artists, it gave them a label and visibility they might not have otherwise had. Similarly for the six young Chicagoans who now went by the name of the Hairy Who. Through the support of artist/curator Don Baum at the Hyde Park Art Center, their collective careers took off. While still probably best known in Chicago, when they were adopted by gallerist Phyllis Kind, they soon had a national visibility that many other Chicago artists envied.
The exhibit - or rather, the pair of exhibits - current at the Art Institute function as a kind of homecoming for these madcaps. While they have all had careers on their own, beyond their group identity, they still make wonderful juxtapositions with each other. As noted above, the present exhibits include a show of prints and multiples in the Prints and Drawings gallery, with paintings and objects back in the American wing.
Tumblr media
Jim Nutt’s “She’s Hit”
I’ve encountered descriptions of these artists that place an emphasis on their representational styles, and the element of fantasy present in the works. And sure, sometimes looking at some of the works - like Gladys Nilsson’s watercolors - one is struck by a Yellow Submarine kind of psychedelic playfulness that might seem naive. But the fact is, the Viet Nam war was escalating, there were serious political tensions at home, not the least from the Civil Rights movement. Pop Art and Post-Modernism had begun to displace the  Abstract modernism of the previous decade. So the frequent use of appropriated images (from pop culture, from Mexico, from Asia and Africa) give these works a timeliness that feel very powerful today. Jim Nutt’s “She’s Hit,” painted in reverse on plexi, is bright and goofy on the one hand, and cartoonishly horrific on the other. The figure looks both pieced together and torn apart, as though reassembled from pieces by someone with an unclear comprehension of human anatomy (The left arm has breasts, and a foot where the hand should be, and a vagina in the armpit.)
Tumblr media
Art Green
Even in work as graphic and clearly delineated as Art Green’s, we have a sense of the normal order of things coming apart. A man with almost no face, seated in an office chair, appears to be sitting on top of an explosion. It is both finished and feels incomplete, as though someone forgot to provide the text in the could over the man’s head. It’s fun, it’s bright, and it’s threatening, all at once.
Tumblr media
While her fellow artists explored plastic, or changed the shape of their works beyond the rectangle, Gladys Nilsson found a special connection to watercolor. Looking at the paintings included here, one realized that she found a visual vocabulary and a medium for herself early on, and rightly chose not to argue with success. Her brightly colored, thoroughly surreal images are perhaps the most easily appealing of the Hairy Who group.
Tumblr media
Karl Wirsum’s works are particularly electric looking, reminding me particularly of Mexican wrestler costumes, and the strange figurative art that comes from the Yucatan. His homage to the African American singer Screaming’ Jay Hawkins is meant to convey the crazy energy of this performer (best known for the song “I Put A Spell On You” where he capers around with a bone in his nose in a wild costume). This particular painting includes the name of one of Hawkins albums (”Because is in Your Mind”).
Tumblr media
Perhaps least known of the six is James Faulkner, who was not in the Hyde Park exhibit with the others, though he was clearly consider a member of the group. Faulkner’s intense collage sensibility could at times border on the abstract, even when (as above) incorporating pieces of flower-printed linoleum flooring. I also haven’t really discussed the work of Sullen Rocca, whose print of a landscape with Santas feels like it ought to be my Christmas card this year. It’s interesting that people talk about the number of women artists in the Hairy Who, but 2 out of 6 is not exactly a majority, or even a balance. Rocca’s lovely, odd work, at once feminine and not, seems to cry out for a more detailed assessment by historians.
If you live in Chicago, you need to see this exhibit before it closes, as it represents a crucial part of the history of art in this city. If you live near Chicago, definitely make the trip in to see this show before it closes in early January. Viewed together, the pieces seem to gain in power and relevance. They easily combine appeal with repulsion, and that combination feels oddly relevant to the present.

#004-Enumclaw
Tumblr media
Enumclaw
Band
Based in Tacoma,Washington
Genre:Pop Rock
ć›žç”è€…ïŒˆć…šăƒĄăƒłăƒăƒŒïŒ‰ AAramisVo. NNathan Gt. LLDDr. EE-Dizzle
Q:How did you first start doing music? (For example: what made you fall in love with music, how did you start working with music) A: In 7th grade I had a friend who showed me myspace and limewire and I was hooked on music after that. Then in high school my friends and I started a rap group called West Village and I started out producing for them and the rest is history.
N: I've been playing guitar since I was pretty young, but started getting more serious in high school when I first started joining bands and playing live. L:I made a friend in elementary school who shared my interest for rap music and not too soon after we recorded our first song on his family computer. It was that moment that showed me how possible it was to create something out of nothing
E: I was always into the idea of making stuff since I was a little dude whether it was cosplay or random art projects. I just liked the feeling. One day around the end of middle school I found fl studio downloaded on my family laptop and ever since then I've been hooked.
Q:Which of your songs do you recommend the most? (a song that represents you as an artist) and please explain the reason why you chose it.
A: I think Fast N All is a great first song to catch from us. I think it represents what we do best
N: As far as songs we already have out, I would say Cents just because it's my personal favorite and I think it has the best music video out of all the songs from Jimbo.
L: My favorite would have to be Cinderella. It’s a pretty straightforward song about change and wanting more,, and I personally can relate to that a lot. E: probably Cents, it's our banger in my opinion.
Q:Please tell us about your latest single (or album).
A: the Jimbo Demo EP is our latest release. They’re a collection of songs that highlight the beginning of enumclaw.
Q:What kind of music are you creating right now? (For example; a current source of inspiration, a certain sound you are into, or some other specific example)
A: I would have to say the music we’re making right now is an extension of what we were doing on the Jimbo Demo but a lot more initial and well thought out.
N: The new music we have been working on covers a lot more ground than what we did on Jimbo. Jimbo shows us at our earliest stages of working together and these new songs really showcase a more collaborative nature and us learning how to play with each other, also Eli is in the band now adding a fourth voice. Stylistically, I think we've begun to come into our own and leave the straight up '90s sound a little bit behind us.
L: I agree with Nathan
E: Nathan put it perfectly
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Q:What is important to you when making music?
A: for me its important that all the music I’m making is able to evoke some kind of emotion.
N: I really just want to make the best song possible song that connects with people and to make cohesive bodies of work. That's the goal, whatever that takes.
L: I just try to make sure I’m having fun and enjoying the process, that’s when I feel best about my work.
E: For me its always about making something I enjoy and would invoke a reaction from me if someone else made it.
Q:Tell us about your next music release or other upcoming activities you have planned.

Angry apotheosis
Tumblr media
I read bits and pieces of Charley’s War as a kid, in copies of Battle picked up from jumble sales and charity shops, but I was never a big fan of war comics, so I didn’t exactly follow it. The episodes I did see made a big impression on me however. Even given Pat Mills’ considerable influence on the British war comic, it was quite unlike anything else in print at the time: for all that Mills made the strips and magazines he worked on as subversive and as violent as he possibly could, war stories for boys were always about derring-do, about the ability of singular, heroic figures to solve problems with violence. In Charley’s War the violence is the problem, and nothing is ever solved.
I’m sure that Rebellion’s most recent, lavish re-issue of this seminal strip is not coincidentally aligned with the upcoming centenary of the armistice that ended WWI, and reading it now could not have felt more apposite. For a generation of comic-reading kids, brought up on the John Wayne style heroism of the traditional war story, this is where they learned that the Great War was a terrifying disaster in which class was as much the definitive source of difference as nationality. Nobody who read this story ever wished to change places with any of its protagonists. It is still hard to believe that this stuff was ever published in a weekly boys’ comic. I was on the verge of tears through most of it, so harrowing and so unjust are the experiences of its characters; aside from the necessary survival of its eponymous focaliser, every other character is at risk of random, meaningless extinction in any panel, a risk in no discernible proportion to the extent or depth of their characterisation.
The strip is the work of two master storytellers, who, according to Mills’ commentary, never met, and only spoke on the phone on a handful of occasions. You would have thought they were locked in a room for weeks on end thrashing this out, so beautifully is text married to image, but that was the nature of the industry at that time. Joe Colquhoun did not live to see his work accorded the recognition it deserves, dying in 1987 at the age of sixty, less than a year after the last episode was published. His art belongs to an earlier era, with its meticulous accuracy and gestural dynamism married to an approach to faces that shifts smoothly from pathos to caricature depending on the needs of the moment: his work on Charley’s War reminds me of nothing so much as Will Eisner’s 1970s experiments in using the comic strip as a serious storytelling medium, in books such as A Contract With God and Life on Another Planet. The art’s narrative power and flow are astounding.
Mills had, by this time, a great deal of experience with the weekly three or four page format, one which imposes severe limitations on a writer, and Charley’s War is notable for the narrative continuity he manages to achieve despite them. It is usually only the first panel or two of each episode that reiterates the last, and other than that Mills makes no real attempt to achieve narrative closure within each episode, although the story always breaks into some sort of logical chunk across those three or (later) four pages.  2000AD is the last of the British weekly anthologies still in publication, and its stories are now simply graphic novels published in weekly chapters, but in the late 70s and early 80s it was a major commercial requirement that any member of the target audience could pick up a comic and be immediately able to grasp and enjoy any of the stories in it. Mills, as ever, pushed at the limits of such editorial requirements wherever he could.
This story is motivated by a deep sympathy for the plight of ordinary people, but also by a keen critical awareness of the source of their ills, and anger at the officer class is palpable in almost every episode. For Mills and Colquhoun, the First World War was a catastrophe visited on Europe’s working classes by its rulers, not a struggle among nations, and they pass up few opportunities to show what the opposing soldiers have in common, or to call the British military hierarchy to account for the suffering of its front-line troops. The series’s central aim seems to have been to set the record straight, to de-glorify war and to lay the blame for it at the feet of the ruling class. That this could have been permitted in a war comic still seems extraordinary, but Mills made sure there was plenty of action in every episode, and Colquhoun made sure that the characters leap off the page and drag the reader right into the thick of it. Boy Soldier is a powerful, moving book, that creates an unparalleled sense of time and place, and probably represents the apotheosis of the British war comic.

please do pokespe, specialshipping, and gold!
This turned out way, wayyyyyy longer than expected so I’m putting it under a cut!
PokespeFavorite character: Tie up between Red and Yellow, I think!Red is a wonderful boy; courageous, kind, intuitive. He’s got a good heart, a great head for battle, and a passion to achieve his goals with his companion Pokemon. Blaine’s words about him always struck me:”Pokemon Trainer. Someone who spends his life with, trusts, and is trusted by his Pokemon. Someone like you, Red.” He may not be a perfect child (overconfidence in his earlier chapters stick out quite a bit, and of course, they showcase his character development!), but, like Blaine, Red is everything I’d aspired to be as a Pokemon Trainer. Yellow is a lovely child with a golden heart. She represents a sort of kindness that I sometimes wish I had more of. Her battle with Lance yielded this conversation:“Pokemon aren’t tools for killing! Even this battle of yours has hurt not only humans, but Pokemon as well!”“I hate fighting
I’m truly sad when any Pokemon are injured
Even my opponent’s!” “Aren’t Pokemon your friends too!?“ Despite her pacifist nature, she’s willing to fight with all she has to protect those she cares for. She feels guilt and pain whenever she has to hurt Pokemon, but goes through it anyway, to fight for what she believes in: humans and Pokemon living in harmony together. And though she may not have the same sort of battle sense that Red does, she can still pack quite a punch, and she has a few ingenious ideas of her own, too (see the Team Rocket on the ship battle).  Least Favorite character: Pryce, I think
? His entire arc was just ridiculously melodramatic, and it didn’t make a lot of sense ^^;  5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):Red/Yellow, Green/Blue, Daisy/Bill, Gold/Silver/Crystal in a happy threesome family, Ruby/SapphireCharacter I find most attractive:It might have been N or Steven, but unfortunately, Yamamoto’s art when he was drawing those two was horrendous. ^^;; I mean, dude, noses don’t work like that! So probably Lance from the Mato era
or Red. Character I would marry:Maybe Falkner? He has a day job and he’s a good guy, and he makes gym leader! Otherwise, Steven’s very good husband material. Character I would be best friends with:Maybe Ruby? I too would like to groom my Pokemon endlessly and exclaim over how beautiful they are.A random thought:The Pokemon world is just so fantastical, there’s no way to make it realistic without having to revamp almost 70% of the entire world. ^^: Despite Pokespe seeming like a semi-realistic portrayal of it, there are way too many questions about the way things work in there that a reader still has to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy fully XD;;; An unpopular opinion:I really, really don’t much like Whitwo. :/ My canon OTP:Red/Yellow! The two of them share similar worldviews, something that I think is instrumental for building a good relationship.Red’s words in the same chapter as the Blaine one from above: “Mewtwo’s a pretty scary creature, all right. But all it knows is being held prisoner in a lab. All it knows about humans is that we’re arrogant and cruel. But what if it learns something different? What if it learns that not all humans treat other creatures badly? Find out, Blaine. Teach it.” His optimism and willingness to believe in the world is absolutely beautiful. Yellow had a similar scene in her battle with Lance. “It’s true that humans have done selfish things, taking away Pokemon’s homelands
Stripping them of their food supply
I’ve seen the results of that on my journey!”And later, with Dragonite: "Of course you feel rage toward humans. But think
. His way isn’t the answer! Humans don’t deserve death–any more than Pokemon! Humans and Pokemon can live together! I know it!”Despite knowing how terrible humans can be, both of them still believe that the rest of the world can come to understand things the way they do; that Pokemon and humans are all beings that deserve a chance to live in the same world, in peace and harmony. I love these scenes, not just for the parallels between my ship, but because they really define Red and Yellow as who they truly are. As a note, I put this under canon despite there being no official confirmations or confessions, because I think there are enough scenes (especially in the later volumes) that blatantly hint at the creators pushing them together. Although I’m not completely happy with all of them (some of the writing is way too forced, man), I’m glad that at least Kusaka seems to want them together. XD;
Non-canon OTP: Green and Blue! Although they don’t have a lot of shippy moments in canon (most of the time he’s just going TSK WHAT A NOISY WOMAN at her), I like their pair character dynamics, and the thought of their everyday life together never fails to make me laugh. XDMost bad*** character:Red! But also Ruby. The boy is very, very cool. Other than the humans, Mewtwo and Pika are pretty badass Pairing I am not a fan of:Black/White. I did enjoy the BW arc, but I felt like the two protags suffered from not enough character and relationship development. I was more inclined to ship White with N based on their writing, except of course canon moments obviously support BlackWhite more. For me, however, a few ‘romantic moments’ without any proper relationship developments don’t make me feel like shipping two characters. Bill and Daisy didn’t get any, either, but they’re supporting characters who don’t appear very much, after all. Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):GOLD. I love the boy, he was so amazing and hilarious, but the fact is, his character arc was completely screwed. Aaaaand I’m going to elaborate on this in the last section of this ask.Favourite friendship:Red and his mons. Also Yellow and her mons. Between the humans, Gold and Silver make me particularly happy, but the Kanto Four together are great too. Specialshippingwhen or if I started shipping it: I think I thought of it as a jokeship at first, when Prof Oak was thinking “Does this child have any thought in her head that isn’t connected with Redïżœïżœ, but I only really started seeing them as a serious ship at the end of the Yellow arc, when Kitty/Piisuke’s String Shot was connecting them wwwmy thoughts:I uh
. I think I covered this in the OTP section above HAHAHAWhat makes me happy about them:The way they’re both happy together just talking about Pokemon and loving them What makes me sad about them:The awkward forced romantic hints that popped up here and there after Mato left :Things done in fanfic that annoys me:I can’t stand it when they’re written out of character. :/ Things I look for in fanfic:Anything in-character. HAHAHAHA. I also appreciate when, despite the humans being the main focus, the Pokemon also play an active role in the story. Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I guess I could sort of see Red going with Blue and Yellow with Green
My happily ever after for them:Yellow opens a Pokemon Sanctuary somewhere and Red takes over the Gym of that town. GoldHow I feel about this character: As I mentioned above, Gold was completely screwed up by the writers. Up until he read that letter from Professor Oak in Vol 14, he had just been fighting on his own terms. Yet suddenly, when he received a letter that he had originally hoped to contain tips on how to win an upcoming battle, he goes into an existential crisis because Professor Oak didn’t acknowledge that he has any ‘special abilities’! “What about MY abilities? There must be something! Don’t I have an ability that places me alongside the other Pokemon trainers?! TELL MEEEEEEEE!” That melodramatic panel of his silhouette is just
melodramatic. He respected Prof Oak, but not to any extreme degree. Why would he have felt so lost and denied just because a Professor he had barely met a few times didn’t know what his abilities were?To top the ridiculous off, the scene continues with them finding an extra page of the letter and going “WAIT GUESS WHAT. PROF OAK THINKS YOU’RE A BREEDER” and Gold conveniently hatches the Pichu egg at the same moment. And they fly off to fight. And then everything’s okay again?
.DID I MISS SOMETHING! *angry Timon noises* All that angst a page before would have been easily avoided if they just took every page out to begin with! And if it was solved so easily, it obviously isn’t worth angsting over! Gold could have been a great, great character, if only they hadn’t made his point of realization “YEAH I’M A BREEDER BECAUSE PROF OAK SAYS SO”. )o)All the people I ship romantically with this character: None, reallyMy non-romantic OTP for this character: I love his interactions with Silver. wwMy unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t ship him romantically with Silver or Crystal. :/ One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:PROPER. CHARACTER. DEVELOPMENT. *SOBS*My OTP: NoneMy OT3:With Silver and Crystal as a family! I love the fact that Silver camps out at his house to watch Proteam Omega.

Why This Nonprofit, Nonpartisan Newsroom Is Focused on Gender, Politics and Policy
Tumblr media
August 7, 2020 6 min read
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.
During Emily Ramshaw’s maternity leave four years ago, she heard many conversations around electability and likeability. These gendered conversations sparked an idea.
“We were having those conversations because there was a woman running for president,” Ramshaw says. “And I thought to myself, ‘What would the news environment look like if there was a news source, a politics and policy news source, that was by women and for women?’”
With a newborn at home, she put her idea on pause.
“But four years later, it came back to me in another election cycle, a historic election cycle where we had more women running than we’d ever seen before, and these same conversations around electability and likability were at the forefront. And in that moment, I just thought, ‘You know what? I thought about this four years ago, I can’t wait another four years. I have to get this off the ground.’”
Related: 7 Ways to Improve Focus and Performance
Ramshaw talks with Jessica Abo about The 19th*, a nonprofit, nonpartisan newsroom focused on women, politics and policy. She also shares tips on how to get involved in the political process and provides details about The 19th*’s upcoming virtual summit.
Jessica Abo: When people go to your site, what will they find?
Ramshaw: What they will find at our site is not the day’s news but pink. They will find serious journalism that really aims to expose the disparities, the ways that women remain at a disadvantage in virtually every arena, whether it’s the healthcare system, whether it’s the economy, whether it’s representative government and the ways that women of color, in particular, have faced the hardest hits.
Where do you have staff around the country?
Ramshaw: We are launching with what is probably the most diverse newsroom staff of any news organization in America. These are predominantly women of color who are based all over the country, whether that’s Des Moines, whether that’s Orlando, whether that’s here in Austin, Texas, in D.C., L.A. We’re across the country and aiming to truly reflect the nation’s women by being scattered around the places where the nation’s women live.
You’ve spent many years working as a journalist. Tell us a little bit about what you’ve learned when it comes to entrepreneurship.
Ramshaw: First of all, I had never raised a single dollar before we decided to start The 19th, which I describe as really an entrepreneurial nonprofit. I knew how to run a newsroom. I knew journalism like the back of my hand. I knew storytelling. What I didn’t know was really how to start a business from scratch.
One of the things that I’ve learned in the last year that we have been trying to build this venture is how to make a compelling case for the work that you’re trying to build. It’s how to ensure that people financially get behind your message and your mission. It’s building a sustainable business plan, an organization that is self-sustaining and really encourages extraordinary women journalists to leave their jobs to come work for us — that sort of pathway and a track record of success.
It’s been an unbelievable year, a really steep learning curve for me, but really thrilling all the same.
If someone is thinking, “Wow, getting involved in the political process is so overwhelming,” what are some small steps that people can take to get involved?
Ramshaw: The first is to vote in every single election. No election is too big or too small. That means everything from your school board to president. It is the absolute best way that we can extend our voice and our collective strength, and so that’s the first place to start.
The second is it’s really meaningful to go to your local city council meeting and see how the sausage gets made in person. The legislative policies that most directly affect women’s lives are happening in their home communities. Start there, and if you’re feeling ambitious, head up from there to your state legislature, testify before a legislative committee. You will never see government in more direct action than you will there.

Three for me would be get out of your echo chamber. We all spend a lot of time in our own curated Facebook feeds, reading the news sources that we really trust. We aren’t going to move the needle, particularly on gender equity, if the same women are talking to the same women all the time. We need to understand what the people who disagree with us think, why they think that way, empathize with their decision-making. That starts with leaning on and learning from sources of news and information that you aren’t totally comfortable with.
And then the final thing is if you check all of those boxes and you’re still wanting to get even more engaged, run for office. We know that at virtually every level of government, women are underrepresented, whether that’s running for city council or running for the presidency. An organization that’s doing really great work in this arena is All in Together. You can check them out on their website. They’re working to get nonpartisan women more deeply civically engaged, encourage them to run. It’s a really great starting point if you’re looking for information on how to get more involved.
For the people who want to get involved from the comfort of their home, you have a virtual summit coming up. Tell us a little bit about that.
Ramshaw: The 19th obviously is launching its news platform, but the week of August 10 through August 14, we are hosting a week’s worth of virtual programming aimed at really elevating women’s voices around the anniversary of the Centennial of the 19th Amendment. You can expect to see Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, Elise Stefanik, Melinda Gates, dozens of first-time elected officials, the first trans woman to be elected to a legislature, the first Native American woman in Congress in this country. And beyond that, some incredible arts and performances. Meryl Streep doing some really amazing suffrage readings with ZoĂ« Saldaña. We’ll have the entire New York Philharmonic Orchestra performing the work of Black women composers. The Go-Go’s are getting back together, the first all-female band to top the Billboard charts.

D.y.y.o Faccina:
Shot by Me
Styled by Dayo and Myself
Body Paint by Me
I spoke to Dayo aka D.y.y.o Faccina about living life as an artist in the city of Baltimore, MD. We talked about music, painting and being a part of Baltimore’s vibrant art community. Check out my interview with the artist below
Taryn : What is your name? Dayo : My name is Dayo
T: What’s your stage name? D: My stage name is D.y.y.o Faccina and it’s spelled different than my real name.
T: How long have you been making art? D: I put my first song out, or my first serious single out in 2012. It was like November of 2012 so I would say a little bit under five years. But I would say as of 2015 I started really taking it seriously and thinking of it as something I wanted to make a career out of.
T: So as a kid did you doodle or make music? Have you always been artsy or was it more of a coming of age thing? D: I did but I never really took it as more than a hobby or as something that really could affect people.
T: What kinds of art do you make? D: I do a little bit of painting and digital painting but mostly I’m trying to focus on music before I get into other things. Painting is kind of a supplement to the music as well.
T: How so? D: You know I was never trained in painting or anything, so I kind of think about it sonically so when I paint I think about when I write a song. I try to do it in the same kind of style and think about the same concepts that I use in my music. I use the colors navy blue, red and gold a lot and I think if my music was colors it would be those colors.
T:What does creative confidence mean to you? D: I think it means really trusting your ideas which might be kind of a clichĂ© answer but I guess there will be times where I make a song and I’m not sure how I feel about it but then I show it to someone or perform it and I see their genuine reaction is that they like it. And that makes me trust my ideas more. Or having someone notice something very particular that you did and you’re like ‘oh wow I didn’t think anyone was going to pay attention to that small detail.’ Or people just telling you that they connect with your music or telling you to keep doing what you’re doing. Whenever I hear that it keeps me going.
T: So you say you want to make art your career and the next question is how do you make art work for you outside of your natural inclination to make art how do you bring that into the practical world and make contributions to the community? D: I organize shows and I’m trying to fully fund my shows so I have full control over my presentation. And when I go out and represent myself as an artist I try to hold positive ideals. When I perform I try to set a standard of taste and show my work through action as opposed to talking my music up. Other than that I kind of try to represent for other artists in the Baltimore scene, especially to people who aren’t involved in the scene but want to be, I tell them other artists to check out like Joy Postell, Jpeg.mafia, Abdu Ali, Micah E. Wood, Bobbi Rush
lots of very talented artists in this area
T: Who’s your favorite artist? D: I cant say this is my favorite but one of my favorites is Fela Kuti for sure. But it’s a hard question because there are so many artists like cinematographers, writers... I don’t know if I can pick a favorite but Fela Kuti is very up there. Top three for sure. I also very much like Jim Morrison, David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, Tyler the Creator. In no particular order these are some artists I really admire. There are probably some I definitely left out for sure too.
T:Do you have a least favorite artist? D: I do
Ill think of a good one
T:(laughs) Well we can come back D: Yeah we’ll come back to that .
T: Favorite album this year? D: Definitily blkswn by Smino for sure .
T: Any honorable mentions? D: Okay uh Silk Noise Reflex by James Tillman, ON GAZ by A.CHAL, Fresh Air by Homeshake and yeah I think that’s good
T: Do you have any advice for someone who is starting out in the arts? D: You just gotta do it. A lot of people are like “oh I wanna do this or that” and its like do you really want to do that? Because if you really wanted to do it you would just do it and genuinely love and do it and that way you’ll do it well and it’ll make it to the right places where it needs to be seen and.. yeah. I mean if you don’t wanna do it for those reasons that’s cool too. Just do it and love doing it and have fun doing it
T: Plug one of your projects, most recent or favorite or both D: I guess most recent would be the upcoming album that’s about to come out title pending but yeah. Im gonna come out with a new album. Another good album by me is Scream EP and Sun EP from when I was Neroscream. It’s a two sides of the coin kind of deal so you can check those out too.
T: Final Question; Do you have a least favorite artist? D: George W. Bush. He’s actually a painter. Alright guy, least favorite artist though.

They were at a young and vulnerable age when Harry Potter first took his traveling lessons on his magical broom, every time they witnessed The good fall of the Twin Towers of Planet Trade Centre in New York City on nine/11. The millennials grew up while in the period of mobile phones, digital cameras, email, text-messaging, mp3 players, handheld online video game devices, WhatsApp, Fb/Instagram, YouTube Video clips, Net browsing and what not.
One such millennial who knocked my socks off was this youthful girl named Anushka, a teen in her early twenties. Her white t-shirt with "MILLENNIAL" in major, black, Daring letters just caught our speedy awareness and we could not end contemplating her Distinctive Expertise Presentation, listed here at Nirmiti Academy. Inside a entire world of open usage of knowledge, it helps make small sense to depend upon the classroom as being a Discussion board for your transfer of knowledge.
As an alternative, The scholars Considerably choose to study through the tales and experiences of Other folks. 10 MCU Tattoos That Make You Feel Like A Superhero | ScreenRant
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has amassed a pretty massive fanbase during their decade-long existence. One of the best things about the superfans is their creative ability to show their love for the material they support. Cosplay is the most popular form of fan appreciation, but some go all out with something more permanent than a costume.

Tattoos have been around for centuries. Nevertheless, they still continue to be used as a form of symbolic body art. For some hardcore Marvel fans, tattoos are a way of showing their love for the MCU in incredibly creative ways. So without further ado, here are 10 MCU tattoos that make you feel like a superhero.
10 The Winter Soldier
Tumblr media
The death of Steve Rogers' best friend in Captain America: The First Avenger was an unexpected, heartbreaking scene. Fortunately, fans were thrilled to see him return as the truly terrifying Winter Soldier. Since that time, Bucky returned to his normal self, was brainwashed back into an assassin, finally got rid of the Winter Soldier, started living in Wakanda as the White Wolf, died, and then came back to life.
However, throughout all that confusing mess, he never let go of his deadly cybernetic arm (not even at Rocket's request). Therefore what better way to honor the poor soldier than to tattoo his own arm on to your own? This is exactly what Tumblr's @zayacv did, with an impressive attention to detail that makes it seem as if a large chunk of metal really did replace her upper arm.
9 Marvel-ous
Tumblr media
What simpler way to show your appreciation for a brand than sticking its logo on your back. This man definitely thought that was the best option, and, honestly, the end product does look incredible. Instead of simply recreating the minimalistic red and white logo, he went for a more creative route, similar to what we get at the start of every Marvel movie. A familiar hero's face, in gorgeous detail, fills the inside of each letter.

Now, it is true that this isn't exactly an MCU tattoo per se, seeing as it features two X-Men (Deadpool and Wolverine, to be exact). However, the colorful logo sprawled across this human back, created by Italian artist Daniele Maiorano, is too awesome to ignore. Also, we probably only have to wait until Phase 5 for the Fox characters to join our beloved Avengers anyway.
8 A worthy tattoo
Tumblr media
At a certain point during Endgame, Thor tells the team that lightning is what courses through his veins. Apparently, there is someone else who suffers from a similar condition and this gentleman right here has the tattoo to prove it. The drawing itself is far from incredible. A simple depiction of Thor's mighty hammer. It's the technique behind it that grants it a place in this list.
Using a special ultraviolet ink, Long House Tattoo in Denver created what is referred to as a black-light tattoo. These are basically tattoos that are invisible to the eye unless exposed to a black-light. In this case, the black-light transforms a boring-looking hammer on a regular arm, into a lightning-fueled limb, powered by Mjolnir itself.
7 Hail Hydra
Tumblr media
While most Hydra agents tend to infiltrate silently as spies and undercover agents, this woman seems willing to show the world exactly where her allegiances lie. This impressive depiction of the infamous symbol that led Steve Rogers to frozen waters, Bucky Barnes to becoming the Winter Soldier, and the corruption of SHIELD stands out from what could have been a bland drawing.
Instead of a simple circular design with a flat image of a squid inside, the artist, Sean Kotnik, created a truly vivid tattoo. The colors and the purposefully blotted image gives it a very three-dimensional look. It's almost as if the symbol was stamped on to the arm with red blood and black ink.
6 Excelsior!
Tumblr media
This tattoo by Anson Eastin is unlike the previous ones. That is, it's neither 3D, glow-in-the-dark, or sprawled over someones' back. Actually, it is a very typical leg tattoo. That's not to say that it isn't impressive, seeing as the entire limb is covered in hammers, shields, arc reactors, lightning, and... Avengers in general.

However, the one crucial detail that separates itself from the others is a simple handwritten addition to the image. A signature by no other than Stan "The Man" Lee. For a Marvel fan, especially one who enjoys showing his appreciation through his own skin, there is no greater honor than forever carrying an authentic signature by the creator himself. Even more so now that he is gone...
5 I am Iron Man
Tumblr media
He had to come up at some point. How could one forget the MCU's central character, the one that gave birth to it all? Up until Iron Man 3, Tony Stark wasn't just bound by his suits, but he was also chained to a piece of technology that prevented the shrapnel (from the bombing in Iron Man) from entering his heart.
As is repeatedly mentioned in Far From Home, Tony Stark's death begun the search for a new Iron Man. This man looks ready to take on the job. This incredible piece of art by Chad Mcdonald looks so real, it's scary. The pulsing blue light in the center of his chest, plus the added infected veins that surround it gives it a truly vivid look. All he needs is a suit to make use of its power.
4 Comedy bugs
Tumblr media
This tattoo (or should I say tattoos) created at Sweety Creepy Tattooatelier are, like the movie itself, funny and small in size. Unlike the serious ultra-realism of the previous entries, this one is based solely on comedy. The image itself is obviously nothing special. All it is is literally two dots, two arrows, and the title of a movie written on two arms. The concept behind it is what makes it so cool.
Not only is it a hilarious poke at the hero's sizes, but each arm actually belongs to different people. These are two friends/lovers (could be either one really) who used their combined upper limbs to create one sole MCU tattoo. Scott and Hope would love to see this.
3 Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Tumblr media
"Hello, can I help you?". "Yes. Do you think... Would it be possible to transform my entire back into the Avengers: Age of Ultron poster?" Turns out, it is. Instead of going for a simple arm tattoo of his favorite Marvel hero, this man took off his shirt to replace his caucasian back with a mix of blues, reds, greens, and golds.

Iron Man front and center, Captain America above him holding his iconic shield, Thor and Hulk below them, and Black Widow and Hawkeye in the background. In addition to this, the otherwise empty spaces are covered in clouds and lightning, and the subject's shoulder showcases a group of alien Leviathan arriving from a portal in the sky. No doubt this is a superfan.
2 Snap
Tumblr media
Looks like we're back to ultra-realism again with this unusual, yet awesome tattoo. The Infinity Gauntlet was teased ever since they first mentioned Infinity Stones in the MCU. It wasn't until a post-credits scene in Age of Ultron that we finally got a quick glimpse of Thanos' glove, but we still had to wait until Infinity War to see it filled with all six colored gems.
In honor of the Mad Titan, Revelation Tattoo created its very own Infinity Gauntlet, with colored Stones and everything. The supposedly metal screws really do resemble metal screws that are popping out of the skin. The Infinity Stones (especially the Mind Stone right in the middle) bulges off the hand. It's not a complete Gauntlet, but it looks real enough to wipe out half the universe.
1 Avengers... assemble
Tumblr media
This is the simplest, most boring tattoo on the list. Actually, there is no reason why it should even be included. Even a drawing of Groot on someone's foot is more interesting than this. However, unlike all the other entries, this one is defined, not by the drawing itself, but by its history. Around the time Infinity War was released, the original six Avengers cast each decided to get themselves inked.
All of them (except Mark Ruffalo) got the same symbol tattoed on their body by artist Joshua Lorde. The number "6" is clearly shown, as are the various symbols that represent each Avenger (although, those are a bit harder to identify). Robert Downey Jr is done, Chris Evans is unlikely to return, and the rest will soon follow. Yet, this symbol will remain with them for the rest of their lives, forever making them... The Avengers.
