Noah Sebastian x Reader (fluff)

noah + illness = a literal two year old

"shh, stop fussing, im just braiding your hair"

he mumbles and groans, pulling away from you. he yelps as you tug on a strand of his brown hair. the tv plays an episode of a random anime hes been binge watching.

he finally settles, sitting between your legs as you braid. he tells you about his day, a mumbling tired mess.

"baby?" you ask, he looks up at you. "can i do your skincare perchance?"

he groans.

"stop saying perchance."

you get up, giggling, you run to the bathroom to grab your array of expensive skincare. he sighs, getting comfy. as you settle back down again he turns to ask, "this won't hurt, right?" you almost laugh.

with a shake of your head you get to work. you pull his loose bits of hair; that had fallen out of the braids, back with one of those silly headbands. he snaps a picture.

you gently apply a serum, he whines about it being cold. The wind was picking up outside, october was amongst us. red plaid, pumpkin spice and annoying children in half-ass costumes. you continue with another serum, he bundles himself into a grey blanket.

"you getting sick, babe?" you ask, rubbing moisturizer in. he grumbles, a grumpy ass man he is. you continue massaging his face until he falls asleep, you change the channel to a show youve been watching lately. rain picks up outside. your fluffy dog trots up for cuddles, he snuggles into noah, who was now fully asleep in your arms.

3 hours later you woke up to a thunderstorm, and a sniffly, grouchy noah. you usher him into your shared bedroom and put the kettle on, you prepare hot chocolate as the wind howls outside.

"baaaabe! can i have two marshmallows instead of one?" he calls out, his voice scratchy and broken.

you sigh, smiling to yourself.

you carry the two warm mugs to bedroom, noah is under a pile of blankets with the dog. "here, let me feel your forehead."

he climbs out of the pile of blankets, flushed with messy hair. you press the back of your hand to his forehead. warm.

you hum and press a gentle kiss on his forehead. "ill get you some medicine, hm?"

he wraps his arms around your waist, rubbing his warm face on your stomach. its moments like this that truly remind you of how beautiful and raw your love is.

"what about some soup huh? chicken?"

he mumbles and tightens his hold on you.

you snicker, pulling away to look down at him.

"alright, come on lovebug. let me get you some soup and medicine hm?"

he sighs and slides away from you, he curls into your pillow.

you come back 30 minutes later with hot soup and medicine. hes asleep.

you gently scratch his back, just tracing over his tattoos. he mumbles, stirring in his sleep. you press a gentle kiss to his back.

"mm?" he turns to face you. his cheeks are red.

"i made you soup, baby. and some medicine. sit up."

he sleepily sits up, rubbing his eyes.

he gratefully takes the soup, whispering thank yous as he soothes his sore throat. he pats the bed next to him, gesturing you closer. you scoot over, immediately overwhelmed by the heat his body was emitting. you press a gentle kiss to his shoulder, and cuddle him back to health.

“You can’t think that way, Chris,” Buck says. “This isn’t your fault, and you couldn’t have known. The important thing is that you’re both together and okay now, right?”

Chris shrugs. “I feel really bad.”

“You know your dad isn’t mad at you, right?” Buck asks.

Chris nods. “We talked about it this morning.”

“Then you’ve gotta trust him, Chris,” Buck says. “It’s all going to be okay. You’re both going to move forward.”

“With you?” Chris asks.

Buck’s heart tightens. “Yeah. With me. You know you guys can’t get rid of me.”

“Good,” Chris exhales. 

“No one’s going anywhere,” Buck promises. Ironic, considering Chris was the one who left. “I promise.”

Luckily, the damage to Eddie’s leg isn’t too bad. He won’t need surgery or any serious intervention. Some time in a brace, and he should be as good as new. They have him on some strong pain meds that make him a little loopy. He sleeps most of the drive back to Los Angeles, spread out in the back seat for his knee. 

“I love you both,” he murmurs before he falls asleep. “You’re both the best.” 

Chris chuckles under his breath. “Dad, you’re high.”

“No…” Eddie yawns. “Haven’t smoked pot since I was seventeen.”

“Wow,” Buck says as Christopher bursts out laughing. 

And Buck starts to feel sort of at ease again. Sort of.

It’s late by the time they’re home. Really late. Buck helps Eddie into the house and into bed while Chris sort of lingers. Looking at everything. His room. The photos on the wall. Buck’s not sure how to process the expression on his face. 

“He didn’t change anything,” he whispers to Buck when Buck emerges to grab Eddie a glass of water. 

“No,” Buck says. “He didn’t.”

“Why not?” Chris asks. “I tried to change lots of stuff.”

Buck nods. “Did it help?”

Chris shakes his head. 

“Then maybe neither of you was trying the right thing,” Buck shrugs. 

Chris inhales deeply. “Yeah. You’re probably right.”

Buck smiles. “Do you need anything before bed? Anything I can do?”

He’s already carried Christopher’s bags in and changed the sheets on his bed to something fresh. He wishes Eddie were up for a proper goodnight, but he’s in and out of sleep, more or less zonked. Not that Christopher blames him, Buck knows.

“No,” Chris says. “I’ll come say goodnight to Dad. Then I’m okay.”

“Okay,” Buck says. “A-and Chris… I know I’m not… But I’m super proud of you. You know that, right?”

Christopher’s mouth scrunches to the side. Just like Eddie’s sometimes does. 

“Thanks,” he replies, voice thick with emotion.

After Chris says goodnight to Eddie and goes to sleep, Buck finds himself sitting on the edge of Eddie’s bed. His eyes are sort of drifting open and shut. 

“Cool if I crash on the couch?��� Buck asks. 

“No,” Eddie says. It sounds a little bit like a whine. 

“Oh,” Buck frowns. “I mean, yeah. Okay. I-I can head home, b-but we left the Jeep at my place, so-”

“Stay here,” Eddie all but orders. 

“Uh, here? In bed?”

“Yeah,” Eddie murmurs. “It’s better.”

Buck smiles. “Okay. Yeah, you’re right.”

Buck fishes his pajama pants from his bag and quickly changes into them. He climbs into bed beside Eddie, careful not to move the mattress too much and hurt his knee. He keeps a wide berth for that same reason. He doesn’t want to kick him in the night. 

Eddie yawns a little then grimaces at Buck.

“Do I smell or something?” He asks. 

“No!” Buck laughs. “What?”

“You’re about to fall off the bed, Buck. It’s okay. You can tell me if I smell.”

“I don’t want to bump your leg, dummy,” Buck rolls his eyes. 

“Well, then lie still. But closer,” Eddie commands. 

Buck sighs, but shifts closer to Eddie. “If I hurt your leg in the night, it’s your fault.”

“‘Kay,” Eddie agrees.

“Goodnight, Eddie,” Buck mumbles, reaching to turn off the lamp.

“Not yet,” Eddie says as the room goes dark.

“Not yet?”

“No,” Eddie says. “I need to thank you.”

“No, you really don’t.”

“You saved me, Buck.”

Buck chuckles. “Uh, I helped carry you up a hill.”

“No. Not that part.”

Oh. Oh he means the rest of it.

Buck swallows tightly. “Come on, Eddie. You know I’d do anything for you two.”

“I do. I know that. That’s… That’s why I have to thank you. It’s important.”

“Well, you’re, uh, you’re welcome. Anytime.”

“Can I ask you something?” Eddie keeps going.

“Man, how are you not asleep? You couldn’t keep your eyes open like five minutes ago.”

“What did you see?” 

Buck inhales sharply. “For Christopher?”

“No,” Eddie says. “For Tommy. About me.”

Buck makes a small, uncomfortable sound. “Oh, Eddie…”

“Please,” Eddie says. 

“It’s uncomfortable,” Buck warns. “And you’re on drugs.”

“I’m feeling clear headed,” Eddie says. “Really.”

“I don’t know…”

“Please,” Eddie presses again. “I need to… I need to know if it’s what I think.”

Oh. Okay, then. This is what they’re doing. 

“Uh, wh-what do you think?” Buck asks.

“You have to tell me if I tell you.”

“Fine.”

“Fine.”

“Okay, go then!” Buck pleads, because he needs this to end. 

“Trivia night?” Eddie asks. 

“Yeah,” Buck confirms. 

Eddie exhales shakily.

Buck gets nervous. More nervous. 

“We don’t have to talk about-”

“It’s okay,” Eddie cuts him off. “Uh, I don’t remember it all. Or clearly.”

“Yeah, I, uh… I gathered as much,” Buck mumbles. “It’s fine.”

“I don’t know why I told him, but I told Tommy I wanted to kiss you, I think?” Eddie asks. 

“Yeah,” Buck whispers. “He… You told him because he was trying to get you to kiss him. While you were plastered.”

So I've seen some Hazbin Hotel role swap things like when the pilot first came out they were switching Charlie and Alastor, Vaggie and Angel Dust, Niffty and Husk and Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious, one on where Charlie and Vaggie switch, one with a Statichusk, once the season came out I saw like one for RadioStatic and somebody even give out a full list on who is who which I loved BUT have ya'll considered this? And work with me here okay

Also I didn’t get a chance to finish the art since I did it on a school computer cause I don’t have my own and my phone isn’t good with digital artwork but I finished the designs

Angel Dust as Charlie: When his family died they were basiclly considered royalty since their family of mafia had gone on for centuries that when they went to Hell they were already covered, living in a goddamn palace with deseasd family members and others from the same mafia. Angel Dust while he really didn't care at first but then started hate whenever the extermination happened due to how many died, he was covered since his family had already had so much secirity and such but it began to seem like something everyone should have. That's when the hotel idea came to place. He tried telling his family about it but it didn't really work too well so he left to try and make it work and save everyone in Hell. His main weapon choice is guns but he really doesn't like resorting to violence, he removed his gold tooth as a way to symbolize how he left his family and the family business.

Husk as Vaggie: In Heaven there were two ways you could become an Exersit, one is by ending up in the Purgatory and having no choice in it, the second way is by being approched by one to ask for your help in secret and choose to become one yourself which was rare but some did choose to that path and Husk was one of them. Skilled with throwing knives and any small sharp object he was one of the best ones on the field, Lute was kinda jelous, and never EVER showed mercy... except for one time. He cornered a small child but found himself not being able to kill him so he let him run off and make it seem like he had managed to run away fast enough. Lute ended up seeing and saw him as a disgrace as she took out his eye and halo, she almost took off his wings but he fought back so she only ended up damaging them so he couldn't fly anymore. That's when he met Angel who showed him better kindness then his own people, he ended up helping him with his idea and is dating him. He doesn't trust most people but more speficlly woman, okay so I added that because you know how Vaggie doesn't trust men? My thought was because of Adam’s personality and holding a grudge for letting Lute remove her eye and wings so for Husk I made it because of Lute doing those things. His main weapon of choice is small knives but he works with cards and exploding dice. Also Fun Fact on the Fandom page, Trivia, it says that Vizzipop was saying that she wanted to make him Russian ended up deciding not to do it soooooooooooooooooo- To me he's canonlly Russian, oh and another fun fact he knows like 6 languages including Italian so now I can have the mental imagine of Husk and Angel talking to each other sweetly in Italian.

Niffty as Alastor: Okay yes this sounds weird but WORK WITH ME HERE! At first glance you'd think oh look at this lil woman but NOPE she is an bug eating Overlord, she's known as The Bug Demon for two different reasons. 1. Her obesstion/appitie for bugs and 2. In the 1940's a word to describe someone as insane was bug which is around the time she was born. She works on the radio. She's feared by all of Hell and anyone who hasn't met her will probobly know really fast why she is. She is absolute besties with and I'm thinking about replacing Mimzy with Baxter but I'm not sure, if you don't know who that is he's one of the characters made but hasn't been used yet. And like Alastor was a mama's boy she was a daddy's girl and is respectful to men UNLESS they are absolute bitches to people. Another reason I gave her Alastor's spot was so that they can still be crazy together and I can keep the mental imagine of them laughing mainaclly together.

Cherri Bomb as Angel Dust: Cherri Bomb sold her soul to Valentino (Or someone else? Give me ideas people, pls) thinking it'll be as simple as she seen others do, it was not, it was even worse since he ended up having her as a 'favorite'. She acts like she doesn't care but it really hit her deep and her escape, besides ya know all the drinking and such, is blowing things up. She came to the hotel simply so she wouldn't have to live in the studio but overtime ended up liking the people there.

Sir Pentious as Husk: He used to be known for winning any turf war until one day there was one he was fighing that was too powerful to defeat so he made a deal with The Bug Demon for help but it didn't end well. Yeah he won but at the cost of having to work for Niffty, he learned how to bartend over time and grew an alchohal addiction, he was forced to work at the Hotel by Niffty and while he did at first dislike Cherri he ended up liking her in the end.

Alastor as Niffty: A hyperactive always smiling through everything, you know Niffty stays smiling almost as much as Alastor, deer demon he's basiclly the world's best cook and basiclly butler of the hotel. He's just a chaotic tall little shit which is basiclly like before but less out there.

Charlie as Sir Pentious: The Princess of Hell hated her title and how she had to live as royalty so she tried to become her own person, key word: tried. She tried become an Overlord but she wasn't good at making deals, then she tried living like any other demon but they reconized her too easily, then she tried to join the Vees but even with her reputation they didn't let her become one of them so to get their attention she tried winning turf wars, one of her biggest rivals was Vaggie. And the Egg Boiz are replaced by the Goat Bois which are just Razzle and Dazzle look a likes In the final battle she did die and get redeemed. I don’t think people realize that Charlie does have a soul since her mom was literally the first woman and when she made the deal with Alastor it was confirmed, plus I want her to still meet Emily and be besties with her.

Vaggie as Cherri Bomb: A young fighter skilled with throwing exploding spears, literally just bombs strapped to her spears, and a turf winning champion. She used to be an angel but she was kicked out Heaven for being rebellious so when one of the exterminations happened they took her down with them but she put up a fight and ended up getting her eye cut out. She's besties with Cherri.

Molly as Lucifer: She was close with Angel the most when they were alive even though she was never in their “family business”. When she died she went to Heaven and knew that her family wasn't so to reunite with them she brought up ideas like visiting hours and such so that loved ones could reunite in dislocated places so that Angels were never at risk in Hell and Sinners didn't plan to raid Heaven. Dispite the court denying and denying she kept trying until she was casted out in Heaven for her ideas and came down to Hell as a fallen angel. She was happy tho, because she was going to be with her family until she saw how distant they all had become with eachother, nevertheless she tried rebonding with her brother. But when Angel Dust came to her with the idea of rehabilitating sinners she just simply believe that it couldn't be done, not that she didn't want to support him, it was just hard to believe that Heaven would accept them after all her ideas were thrown to the gutter and not long after they became distant and she blamed herself. When Angel called her for her help she was so estatic for her brother to actually WANT to see her. "My brother wants to see me! Take that depression!" "Molly, this is Husk! My boyfriend." "You like boys! Oh mio Dio we have so much in common, put it there Tusk!"

I haven’t decided should be in Lilith’s place but I’m debating on Angel’s dad or brother

BUT! the current project im working on — TITLE DROP! — sweet wine, starshine is going to be a kind of retrospective looking back on a lot of the stuff that happened over the Meat of DLD but especially chapter 5. this man is, uh, Not gonna be happy but he's gonna get Closure. and that's almost as good. (GENUINELY a shame that the romcom universe is technically noncanon for thematic reasons, calling it "the AU where you're allowed to live" is incredibly bleak but i won't even be able to explain for a long long time why it Is Required to be an AU.) i don't really know when anyone should expect this to be published but ive made a SHIT ton of progress on it over the weekend with how much support has been rolling in it's crazy.

and here's just hoping that i keep on a hot streak with my character interpretations! you might have already been passed this through the grapevine, but my next big project after i finish DLD is gonna be catch/cradle like i said in the A/N, and the two major pov characters for that are going to be lamella and yonny, which is certainly A Pair Of Characters To Characterize. i have Images Of Them In My Mind but we'll see whether they stand up to scrutiny in the very slightly more grounded take ive had on things so far.

Am I the only one kinda bummed about the Fable/Legend hint in Jojo’s new post? It could just be platonic thing but,, it just kinda bummed me out because I rlly like the Leg/Ravio ship, and just having another possibility of lgbtq+ rep potentially dashed is disappointing.

Ugh guys here is boy drama update no one cares about but pretty much. (Went back and put this under a cut cuz it’s some gay shit no one needs to hear )

Wait before I start disclaimer this is the most middle school bullshit ever. I am about to sound like a middle schooler okay. But keep in mind I’ve never even been in the “talking” phase with a guy before. I’ve never been in any kind of phase so I have zero frame of reference for anything. I have the dating skills of a middle schooler cuz I have no practice. Okay moving on. So pretty much on Thursday and Friday we didn’t text at all and it’s not like he left me on read or anything the conversation just naturally ended Wednesday night. But I was still kinda pissed off he was so silent cuz it’s like okay bitch your turn to start a conversation. Then I really thought it was over but on Friday night at like 1 am he asked me if I was at the club we met at and I was like no and he was like well you should come over but like it was one am so I was fucking going to SLEEP!!! So I was like okay I guess it’s not over because he like kinda asked me to hang out??? But like also not much of an invite. Then on Saturday we didn’t really say anything untill a little later then he started a conversation and we started texting like craazzzyyyyyyyy like so much fucking texting. And then today we have texted very consistently and a lot. Our conversation are like super fucking casual like “hey what are you up to I’m bored” kinda vibe. Like I think we were both bored last night and today. Like the vibe where he’ll just like send me a pic of the ice cream he’s eating. So like okay. Jesus Christ I’m realizing this is like an insane ramble. My question is like do you think he’s actually interested in me or just like super fucking bored. Cuz like we are texting like CRAZYYY but also not even flirting at all. At least I don’t think we are. And also he hasn’t really invited me anywhere. I mean we have said like really jokey stuff like “ohhh pull up” like he’s said that shit to me but he could just be like “hey let’s meet at this location” I mean he did say that but it was 1 Am. I SAID we should meet up this weekend at that same club since he apparently wanted me to go back there with him but he’s gonna be out of town this weekend. So it’s like okay …. I kinda feel like when we meet up again it should be at that club cuz like that feels very safe I already know we mesh well together in that environment and it’ll be way less scary. But then I’ll have to wait soooooooooooooooooo long to see him and then by then he might meet some other more goth chick then me. I’m not even goth!!!!! I just like goth music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what’s kinda interesting about him is he doesn’t even like bauhouse or joy division that much. Which like I like that cuz I don’t like them either. Anyway I don’t know. I don’t know what going on. I wish he’d just text me “I like you” how gay is that. I should delete this post it’s so gay and middle school vibes
