*dances around the room*
And this is funny coming from me--
NUKE ENDING IS NO LONGER CANON! PULL OUT THE PARTY STREAMERS! GRAB THE CAKE AND PLAY SOME MUSIC! IT'S A GOOD DAY TODAY!
Thank gods, I was gonna rewrite the entire ending at this rate.
. . . . . in writing the tags, I just realized there is a massive gap.
I'M NOT REWRITING THE ENDING! I GOT OTHER SHIT TO DO! I'M HAPPY WITH HOW THINGS ARE EVEN IF IT LEAVES THE POSSIBILITY FOR ME TO FILL IN THE GAPS---
Do not encourage me.

And the time has come that I shall say something at sometime that would change our worlds with prime.
It's Nov 16 all over again.
Shoot me with your AU's. Please.
(some asks if just asking for you to infodumb is too abstract)
Which one is your favourite and why (you can tell me more than one)?
The most recent one that you made/got engaged in?
What are your thoughts when people make fiction with c!primeboys as actually healthy brothers?
my favourite is definitely immortal primeboys. I’m still working on that when I am not being fucked over by adhd and chronic pain it’s just been very slow for the fic but I adore the au and want to finish it. i just find the whole psychology of being immortal with them really fun. they’ve developed into a vaguely mutual codependent mess bc from their perspective absolutely everything in life but each other changes so quick it’s nothing more than a brief distraction. which isn’t to say they’re not abusive they’re even more so bc several millennia of escalating abuse leads to some extremely fucked up places, it’s left c!tommy so traumatised the perspective of the townspeople is that he's shy because he’s that terrified of interacting with other people, but like in the actual definition of codependency where it’s all give and all take. c!tommy relies on c!dream for everything bc he’s been given zero independence for millennia bc he’s all c!dream has left and c!dream needs to have c!tommy rely on him bc he’s petrified of being alone and worries c!tommy would leave if he was allowed even the slightest bit of responsibility. it’s very much an exaggeration of the abusive dynamic, but in a very deliberate way both bc in universe the escalation has gone on for millennia and required some extremely traumatic black magic rituals to begin with, and out of universe to allow the exploration of abuse to be both unmissable by literally anyone while also not relying on typical narrative tropes to signal that (which are fine but i tend to avoid the archetypical depictions of abuse for c!prime for a reason)
most recent is the alternate ending au I started for Whumptober (it probably won’t be updated at all this October or even this year unfortunately bc health flare ups suck and I'm struggling with them recently but it’s all planned out and being worked on) bc I had Ideas on how to tie it into c!tommy soft epilogue bc it Does end with c!tommy safe and healing with c!tubbo and it has the start of people moving away from the smp (in this case, being c!Punz- him leaving is the impetus for c!dream to have such a bad breakdown he tries to run off with a captive c!tommy bc he feels betrayed by everyone else) and I think it’d be fun to tie in some foreshadowing and stuff within the fic. healing after struggling with being denied either kindness or freedom is a pretty major theme for the latter half of it, and I think it’d be cool to tie it in with that.
I don’t get c!prime being in a healthy friendship or sibling relationship bc they never were in canon tbh. like, c!dream is just kinda Like That. not even just with c!tommy like its just that he places strategic importance and a level of trust on him he's kind of terrifying manipulative and possessive in the context of everything and I’m tired of him being a fucking weirdo getting erased bc he’s like that throughout the entirety of the series it was originally a bit but it very quickly became Not That and it’s extremely funny he's an amoral little shit and i think that makes him a great character. when he get sadboy uwu'd not only does that lose the charm of c!dream being this cheerfully amoral asshole who's completely oblivious to that fact and thinks he’s putting on a facade of being a cold emotionless killer when he just looks like an extremely dorky cheerfully amoral asshole that i love it’s also like. it gives me the impression they’re stamping their perception of cc!dream onto him and i despise cc!dream for. many reasons but primarily the negative levels of safeguarding he had around younger ccs to the point he was “jokingly” acting creepy around them which like, I’m not going to say was malicious but also sure was extremely irresponsible and dangerous to the point i don’t think he should have a platform! I don’t want to imagine that guy around c!tommy thanks.

i don’t really know what no nuke au is abt !! but I assume it’s in the title so in no nuke au, do cdream and ctommy work to heal with each other or is that unlikely due to their history? also!! what happens to ctubbo in no nuke au?
THANK U ANON ILY WITH ALL MY HEART FOR ASKING <33
it’s very much in the title!! you can find the premise of the au in the first tag of this post but essentially, an anon asked me “what happens if the nukes didn’t explode?” and i took that and went WILD with it.
in this version of the au, the nukes did explode, but they didn’t actually kill anyone. c!dream and c!punz get injured by the blast and c!tommy literally just.. grabs dream and runs to safety. they’ve only just been given a second chance: they can fix the server together. they can.
the whole premise is diskduo reluctantly working together to fix the rest of the server, which has kind of gone to hell by this point. after the nuke exploded a lot of the server, the egg took this as a major opportunity to take over, and, with c!punz going back to it, the egg spreads throughout a majority of the smp, cutting factions off from each other. diskduo are stuck together as each other’s only allies (until they can reach the syndicate) and uhm. well, they get their post-nuke second chance, but it’s not pretty.
dream still has a fuckton of problems. mentally, mostly!! but after the blast from the nukes, also physically. in addition to his leg being fucked up, he’s trying to tear himself from the self-destructive mindset that had enabled the prison plan to happen. with tommy, he has a real chance to fix things, and to live, but it’s hard, working with tommy of all people and also finding reasons to live again. he has a hell of a lot of unpacking to do regarding himself, his plans, the prison, and it’s not pretty as he does so. he’s not… overly cruel to tommy, most of the time?? but there are definitely moments where a) he lashes out because he feels exposed or vulnerable (tommy sees him, tommy knows who dream is more than dream himself knows, it’s bad, it’s frightening, tommy could use that against him—) and b) he hits tommy with the fucked up logic he’s grown accustomed to after prison. well, i was bad, so i was in prison. you were bad, and i— uhm, i beat you to death. you deserved it. it’s enough to push tommy over the edge sometimes, and dream has to have a whole change in mindset before he ever comes close to healing.
tommy, on the other hand, is freaking out and gatekeeping secrets like nobody’s business. dream hasn’t asked his involvement in the nukes and frankly tommy doesn’t want to admit that a lot of this mess is because of his + tubbo’s plans with the nukes, so he doesn’t!! he keeps that to himself, along with the fact he’d been the one responsible for dream losing his leg, along with the fact he’s in contact with tubbo. dream doesn’t really need to know any of this, he figures, very wildly and panicked, it’s not like it’ll help anything. tubbo isn’t interested in helping them, not in the way they’re going about it, and instead is building another nuke, determined to destroy the egg completely through nuclear power alone.
yeah. uhm tubbo isn’t doing great. when the nuke fell, all the characters scattered into factions that the egg has kept them contained in after it spread. tubbo, jack, niki, and a couple of others ended up in snowchester, stuck in the nuclear bunker and unable to get out. supplies are dwindling because frankly, there’s only so often they can do supply runs with nuclear aftermath AND an egg constantly watching over everything, but tubbo does his best as a leader. in his horrific predicament, it’s easy to become attached to the idea that all he needs to do is build another nuke. sacrifice himself by using the self-destruct button on the nuke at the heart of the egg’s empire. as the months crawl by, tubbo gets closer and closer to building it — and more and more convinced that tommy (notoriously bad at explaining things over letters) has somehow been brainwashed by dream. with no allies left to turn to, and time running out, tubbo races against the other factions (kinoko, nevadas, diskduo, the syndicate, the eggpire) to develop his egg and wipe the server’s problems for good: and sacrifice himself as a pawn in the process.
so yeah anon!! diskduo and tubbo are doing great!! the happy ending of this is that clingyduo reconcile before tubbo finishes the nuke, and tubbo realises there are other ways to save the server. after everything is over too, diskduo don’t speak for a while. a long while. they develop to the point of amicable tolerance of each other — mostly — but that takes time, peace, and most importantly, distance from each other. spending 2-3 years trapped in close proximity with each other was not great for their dynamic.

Ooo who finds out about the chair Dream gets nailed to? Is it Punz? And what’s the Immortal Dream one about? (Besides Dream being immortal)
it is actually most of the smp. it’s a oneshot, a present (but not a surprise) for a friend of mine. it’s mainly c!DTeam but Puffy, Tommy, and Sam also feature. Main plot is there’s a lot of rising tensions and a few people show up to the prison because of worsening weather and dying food, pinning it on Dream due to his admin abilities. Some of them have the intention of possibly wanting to kill him so the SMPs conditions go back to normal once a ‘stable’ person is able to take over. they find him there in a horrific state, incredibly distressed and fighting for his life. quackity had been mocking him about how angry people are getting so he ends up feeling like he needs to plead for his life. Sapnap and George are horrified.
your snippet: He regretted looking closer when he saw Dream’s bare stomach was covered in long, brutal slits, each running across where a rib would be. It looked like some were actively gone and some had been previously missing, bloody strips of cut flesh red and irritated where the healing you received upon respawning had done its best to repair the damage done.
Dreams' eyes squeezed shut tighter and he shrunk as shadows blotted out the light of the glowstone in front of him. He could tell there were two of them, even from behind his mask. Something in his throat choked him up and he coughed from behind the gag again, head tilting impossibly lower as the disturbance shot spikes of agony through his already disturbed ribs. His arms instinctively tried to tug up and he couldn’t help but make a hoarse sob of agony as the nails that had been driven through his flesh with a few well timed strikes of a hammer painfully pushed further against the wounds they’d carved.
the immortal dream AU, to be more specific, is my pheonix!dream AU. centers around reincarnation, the heartbreak of losing everyone you love, and feeling like you didn’t do enough together when they were alive. classic immortal based angst. if I ever write a fic it would start in prison, (naturally), but I have a bit of a future snippet for you :)
Some of Sapnap and George's old things were down here, he’d been told. Nobody else had wanted to go through them, leave the things in peace. Undisturbed. He felt bad being here but he just wanted some sort of memory. Anything.
When he threw open the first chest he had to choke back a sob. An old bandana, grayed and mottled. A rusted iron sword, cast to the side. Some withered flowers, crumbling with age. A few diamonds.
He took the bandana.
The next chest was significantly larger, he didn't have to lean down to open it.
The contents made him recoil.
A set of armor. An axe. A sword. All glinting with enchantments, the netherite almost glowing.
He gingerly reached for the note tucked carefully next to the helmet.
“To, Dream,” It read, in scratchy, painfully familiar handwriting.
“If you’re reading this, I’m gone. I put this where I knew you’d probably find it. I didn’t think it would be appropriate to pass Nightmare onto anyone else in the SMP. I know you wanted it back.
I’ve taken care of it over the years. I think you understand why I never let you have it.
Do with it what you will. I’m no longer around to stop you. Please don’t make me regret this.
Yours, Sapnap.”
Sapnap wouldn’t need to worry. He’d outgrown the armor anyways.
Dream cried.
@blueinkphantom bc this contains snippets of some of the AUs you asked about

Tumblr media
[Image ID: an angled/off-center photograph of a laptop screen open to a retro-styled word processor. The words on the document read "meow meow time to write about torture". End ID.]
Yes, it is true! I am once again writing fanfic after a very long hiatus <3 the urge to make my favorites miserable has returned, and with it I am reopening requests. But not just any requests, no—
I have a Bad Things Happen bingo sheet!
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A black bingo board with white text and lines. The title reads "Bad Things Happen Bingo". The boxes read as follows from the top left moving across: suffocation, can only move the eyes, mouth stitched shut, defeated and trophied, secret revealed, kneecapping, self-loathing, terms of endangerment, rescue mission, damaged wings, thrown from a horse, disowned by family, trapped in a burning building, cabin fever, would that would not heal, friendship falling out, "I know you're in there somewhere" fight, mistreated by authorities, zip ties, hospital stay, framed, claustrophobia, spinal injury, punishment box, and tortured for information. End ID.]
I'm really excited to get cracking at these >:D! The only one not available to request is "thrown from a horse" because I already have a fic in mind for that one, but all the others are fair game!
In your request, please specify the fandom and which character you want to get hurt (mandatory), the aggressor character (optional), and any comfort ideas you have! (Keep in mind that if I get multiple requests for the same box, I can only write on fill. If your prompt doesn't get chosen, feel free to send in another!)
The fandoms I'm very comfortable writing for: Hermitcraft seasons 6-8 (some earlier season nine), Dream SMP, Empires season 1, the Life SMPs (all), Lego Monkie Kid, Fullmetal Alchemist, Homestuck, Pokemon animeverse, Pokemon gameverse (my favorites are HG/SS, SW/SH, Masters, and Legends: Archeus, but I'll happily write for all of them^^)
I'm less confident in other fandoms, but if I've ever talked about it on this blog then there's a good chance I'm down to write some pain (or even if I haven't—I've been in a *lot* of fandoms over the years). If you're unsure, just shoot me an ask and I'll let you know :] (for hermitcraft in particular, I haven't been really keeping up with it recently but am *absolutely* down if you tell me what relevant episodes to watch lol)
Now! The askbox is hungry, so feed it fic requests! >:D

I've seen so many people go "this wasn't a good end for c!wilbur" and "it wasn't true to his character" "there is no growth!"
It was true. C!Wilbur is a bit of a coward. I'm sorry, but he is. And here, here he grew a bit. He said his apologies. He said his goodbyes. And now he goes home. It takes strenght to realise that a place is not good for you, and by staying you are doing more harm than good. And you cannot tell me that there was anything else for Wilbur on that server other than Tommy. But here's the thing: Tommy doesn't need him. He wants him, sure, it's his brother, but Tommy has had a life without him. He has gone through stuff and he has fought and hurt and healed and fell and stood back up. And while I'm sure Wilbur loves Tommy, Wilbur doesn't need him either. What they both need is space to heal. So Wilbur goes home. Goes to the opposite of his limbo, to the warm vastness of the desert, and he'll figure out who he really is behind all the trauma and l'manburg and all that. Who he is when there is nothing more to fight for or about, when he can just be. I'm sad for Tommy, truly. But to pigeonhole Wilbur into a "Tommy's caretaker" role is to take stuff away from both of their characters.
That's really the thing that annoys me the most. This "But Tommy is alone again! Wilbur left him on a beach just like Dream" Yes he is alone. But here's the thing. You are not evil or abusive for removing yourself from a situation that harms you and where you are not comfortable or safe. You are not bad. Dream was a fucking psychopath who enjoyed the abuse he put Tommy through. Wilbur is a mentally ill dude who desperately needs peace and safety. If I'd change one thing, i wish the offer for Tommy to join him would have been on the table. I would have wanted Tommy to refuse, but i still wanted the offer. But overall? I think it was great.
And you know what? I'm glad it was silly. I'm glad it was fun. Because they ALL talked about how it felt like the smp lost some of its magic due to how big and serious it has gotten. I'm glad that it was a bit silly and fun. Fucking Utah. I liked it.

Time for a thing I've never done on here: writting down my thoughts on a thing I like.
Today I am talking about the Dream SMP SEASON 1 Finale. (Hopefully I tagged it correctly, if not, SPOILERS AHEAD)
I started it with Tubbo. Incredibly gripping acting, he had such a hard time actually launching the nukes knowing Tommy would die. Jack being there, obviously dying to get it done so he could be rid of Tommy, but also trying to remain a friend for Tubbo, in his own goofy/rough way, was fantastic. And their conflict once the nuke launches put into light the core issue of the server : everyone wants peace, but grudges built up so high with no perspective, that now all that is left is harm. Harm, and trauma, and everything being taken from everyone by everyone else.
All everyone wants is for it to stop. Whatever it takes. Including if it means nuking the server, because the hurt built up on itself to this breaking point.
Them failing to reach Tommy was heartbreaking. Jack was barely starting to have hope to be with his friends again, Tubbo tried so hard to save Tommy, rather than keeping himself safe like he promised. But it was always going to be this way, wasn't it? He was always going to come running after his best friend.
I then went back to watch Jack's stream, set before Tubbo's, to get a full picture. There were already signs of hope from Jack that Tubbo might get away from harm (in his mind, Tommy) and get happier with him. So later when Tubbo re-defined what the harm was (Dream and Tommy's CONFLICT!), it helped Jack balance his opinion on Tommy, at least enough to try to save him to the very end, even when Tubbo had given up.
I don't think he forgave him just like that. But he understood that Tommy was hurting, and that was a part of why he did everything he did that harmed Jack.
And we find this same theme of understanding on Tommy's stream. Not FORGIVENESS, but understanding.
Desperate to hold Dream and Punz in place, Tommy had the right idea, to make them talk about themselves. Except this time he also had to listen, to pay attention. In case he could get new buttons to push to keep them there. And, through the frankly unhinged and evil talk, he did start to see it too : Dream had been hurting. Because of him, because of the mounting grudges, the escalation of pain and retribution. Again, the true plague on the server, and like everybody else, Dream had suffered from it.
His way to deal with it is bad : torture, experiments, mind games, revenge in every direction. Getting lost in his work, anything to look away from the pain and the loss. His road to immortality was his "nuke", his "after that we can be happy and free, so the cost now does not matter".
Tommy and Dream are very similar. But Punz and Tommy were both right in the previous stream : Tommy thinks too small, and Dream thinks too big. Tommy is selfish, and his scale is very human ; Dream has lost touch with that very human scale, and only sees concepts and greater things.
And they both hurt one another because of it. Tommy obsesses over the harm Dream dealt him, while Dream is too disconnected to realize how SEVERE the harm he's doing is, because "in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter."
"I would have revived you." with a scoff, against a shaking "But it hurts...!"
And that, to me, is where the finale became incredible.
Tommy, selfish, self-centered Tommy, saw through the layers of pain. He empathised. He's been there, even if his way of coping was to curl up within himself and lash out, rather than disconnect from it to go play god. It would have been easy to keep going. Satisfying maybe, to push Dream in the lava and kill him. To be selfish again and only think of his own pain. But that is where Tommy really showed strength and growth : he UNDERSTOOD Dream. Not forgave him, no the harm remains, and it would take forever and an insane amount of good will to heal that... but Tommy had the strength to give the first bit of this good will to Dream.
Because someone has to break the cycle. Because if everyone wants peace, why can't they start to let go of the grudges, and gain perspective?
It demands an amount of vulnerability that is striking, to let go of grief and accept that you hurt someone. And to apologise for the harm done is even harder. It does not invalidate everything that happened : Dream still tortured and played with Tommy. Tommy still ambushed and killed Dream, dividing the server, and refusing to stay down.
But through this bit of good will and understanding, Tommy showed Dream that they could do something else but fight. They could talk. Dream's pain could be taken seriously, not just shoved far at the back of his mind and ignored. Tommy showed him that he could think BIGGER than himself... and that Dream could think smaller, think about himself on a human scale.
"It's not worth it, right?" "Why not? Tell me why not?"
Tommy, selfish Tommy, reached out. And Dream, hurt and dangerous Dream, agreed to come down and take his hand. A first step, for once in the same direction. For once with the same goal of peace. Not perfect, not easy, but human, so incredibly human!
And they never got the time to go further, because of the nuke. Tommy clearly regretted that, and apologized (in my opinion) for robbing both of them of more time to maybe heal finally. Because despite understanding and perspective, the consequences of the harm done still existed. And there was no way to escape it.
At least not on that server. That is where a lot of sentiments from many CCs come into play : comments, in and out of character, about how the smp is a violent, destructive place. Build a house out of wood and it will be burnt to the ground. Hide your belongings, expect to die, trust no one. The smp is like living under a constant state of terror. Despite Eret and Aimsey's efforts and first steps towards a better, sainer state for the smp, the damage is done, the grudges are weaved into the history of every block.
The only way is to start anew, with none of those grudges. Which means, none of those memories. A clean slate, to do better. A clean slate, to breathe again, and have fun. Something new, with this knowledge on understanding and perspective, that comes with age and experience.
Would I have loved to see Dream and Tommy continue to take time, carefully dancing around one another, balancing compassion and trauma to finally forgive one another and become friends? Fuck yeah! I live for that healing shit, for people learning to cope with how they hurt others and how they got hurt, for remorses and relapses, and the care and patience it takes to FORGIVE when the time is right and the growth is real! But do I think the CCs had time for that? No. And they were too many characters, and too shackled by history and their own personalities to all follow that path of healing. So taking this into account, YES starting over was a good move!
And if I know many are bitter about how "easy" that is, rejoice! We get to experience a new era! I have heard so much about "the begining times of the smp", we get to live it again now! New, different, the possibilities are endless! :D It's time for us as well to let go of the past and finally get what we wanted : peace and joy and something new!
I cannot wait to see what happens next! This finale was powerful and subtle, with layers of doom and sensitivity, it was human and emotional and full of despair and hope! Growth, so much growth, 2 years of experience! This next season is going to be fantastic, and I hope the CCs have fun with it regardless of what anybody online says! :D

So I liked the thought that c!Crime's endings are to going to be tied together. I specifically like that, based on what information we have now, their ending will be connected by them finding a reason to live.
Wilbur's story has always in some way involved self-acceptance. Acceptance of the bad and the good. Acceptance that you're not going to be the person you've built yourself up to be in your head -- whether the person in your is a hero or villain or a politician or local scammer or whatever. It's the journey that seeking forgiveness from others doesn't mean a damn thing if you still hate yourself. It's the journey that seeking forgiveness for others should be a part of healing and a part of living and not just an end goal. He should end thinking he deserves to live.
Tommy's story has been about surviving -- be it the next trauma, the next upheaval and loss or even just the next day. So the hope is that he wants to do more than just survive.
But Tommy's end will, hopefully, involve him not wanting to just survive but to actually live again. Tommy will stop waiting for the axe to fall. Tommy will stop waiting for the next explosion or big bad or whatever else. Now, I hear you saying, as long as Dream is alive, how is that possible? I think that's going to be the kicker. The only thing I can think of is that it involves Tommy deciding he's not going to let some monster lurking in the shadows stop him from having a life.
This is where I derail my own post entirely to just speculate on how they achieve this.
Some part of me think that means one, or likely both of them, deciding to just leave the SMP to find their next adventure elsewhere. I don't know if that would be satisfying for everyone but, especially Wilbur, it lets them live without continuously looking over their shoulders. It also gives them the opportunity to come back now and then for cameos and appearances.
I just... it's strange. I think it makes sense for the characters. I think it's one of the few options they have to tie things up without killing Dream. I know a lot of Wilbur fans (and Inniters) don't like the idea of them ditching their family and friends but, like, where do they go without leaving entirely?
I guess maybe they could build their own little place, on the server but hidden away, and find peace there. Send messages to their friends and say "when you're ready, we have a home, and your home can be here too."
Yeah. I like that. The end bit being them finding a reason to live and a sense of home again.

hi. sorry if this is overstepping and you can delete this if you want but i just wanted to give my two cents as someone currently still in a situation similar to ctommys (gaslighting, manipulation etc.) the ending just feels really wrong. like understanding ur abuser is human was one of the things that helped me start healing but there needs to be a clear boundary of this is wrong. this is absolutely wrong and you had no right to hurt me. you had your reasons but i am human and that comes before everything else. just feels like the finale ignored that part and Ending it at the realisation completely ignores how hard the after is. im trying not to feel down about minecraft roleplay but i just sorta.. believed in cctommy? im sure he could've done that story justice but this just feels rushed and lazy.
No worries mate! ❤️
And thank you for sharing. I agree. I think the reminder that Dream was human could be fine in itself. It's a really bad final note to end Tommy's arc on though. Dream isn't a monster, he's very much human and that's part of what made him a frightful character, because he could be real. But also that at the end of the day he's a pathetic miserable person and Tommy owes him nothing. Seeing Tommy escape from his control and start to move forward were some of the best scenes in the whole SMP. I loved how Tommy was funny and outgoing and so himself and yet he was still so vulnerable. It was so hopeful seeing him trying to move forward even as he still struggled and had setbacks.
But instead we see Tommy realise how Dream is just a person. And then it soon cuts to Dream and Tommy becoming friends. Sure they have amnesia, but it's all the same stream. It needed to emphasise how Dream being a person doesn't change anything. That he still hurt Tommy. The ending we should've gotten was Tommy getting to be free at last and learning to let go of his fears, maybe shown through some little scene like him burning all his invisibility potions. As it was, the ending didn't even feel like it was meant to be wholly a tragedy and that this was a dark end, the tone was kind of confused.
I am disappointed by cc!Tommy too. I don't know how much of it was his intention or how long they were preparing this but it feels really thoughtless especially when we've seen them tackle some challenging topics so well in the past. I guess it had been too long since he'd touched the DSMP. Nothing prepared me for how problematic this stream would be.
Anyway, you're not alone in being shocked and disappointed in this. I know many fans want to divorce the character from this ending and imagine or even write their own. I'm still fond of c!Tommy and the past content.

𝔹𝕒𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕊𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕤
SBI x GN!LittleSibling!Reader (in-game)
Summary: Request!
Warnings: Attempted kidnapping, slight violence, language
A/N: Hello there! I want to say thank you so much for the love on the first part of this story, it’s absolutely insane and I’m so grateful for all of the kind words. I hope you all enjoy this part as much as the first! (Part 1 can be read here!)
Y/N was yet again staring out of their window waiting for their family’s return, though this time they weren’t out to battle. The four older men had gone on a journey to find a new village, leaving the youngest member behind to keep the house safe.
They hadn’t expected any visitors so when there was a knock on the door, Y/N was quite startled.
They grabbed Techno’s old axe off of the wall just in case and slowly opened the door, gripping the weapon tightly.
“Whoa there, Y/N!” The man said startled by the blade-wielding child.
“Bad? What are you doing here?” They asked the armored man.
“Is your family home?” He asked.
“They’re out right now, but I can relay a message if you’d like?”
“Umm, yeah, that’d be great.” He responded as they invited him in.
They gestured to a seat at the table and grabbed a book and quill to write his message down.
“What would you like me to tell them?” They asked.
“Let Tommy know that the egg misses him, he’ll understand.”
“The egg?” They questioned not really knowing what it meant, writing it down anyways and closing the book.
“Mhmm. You know, the more I think about it, the egg would probably love to see you…”
“It sounds kind of scary, Bad.”
“No no no, the egg is amazing! Haven’t you seen its gorgeous red vines expanding all over the SMP?”
Now that he’d mentioned the vines, they remembered a conversation their family members had a few nights before mentioning them.
“Have you visited Dream SMP recently?” Phil asked his oldest children.
“There’s red stuff everywhere.” Wilbur added.
“It’s that fucking egg shit BadBoyHalo has been on about lately. That thing is fucking evil.” Tommy said.
“No, I haven’t.” They said, pretending to still have no idea what he was talking about.
“You have to come visit now! I’m sure your family won’t mind!” Bad insisted.
“I really shouldn’t.”
The expression on Bad’s face changed immediately at their rejection, the bright red color of his eyes draining away as they turned a solid white color.
He pulled out a small blade from his pocket and before they could even think to grab the axe again the blade was pressed against their throat as he backed them up against a wall.
“Bad…” They whispered.
“The egg needs you to join us.”
Bad slowly backed up keeping the blade on Y/N’s throat and grabbing their wrist, putting himself behind them, and moving towards the door, but Y/N wasn’t going without a fight.
Their eyes searched the room for the nearest weapon and once their eyes settled on the fire poker, Y/N swung their leg backward into Bad’s shin causing his hands to drop from their body in shock.
They immediately grabbed the iron tool and swung at him, hoping to cause as much damage they could without a real weapon.
The two parties continued jabbing at each other, items around them breaking in the process.
Y/N threw the iron rod at their opponent and grabbed their axe immediately swinging it as Bad tripped over a fallen chair.
Standing over the now laying man, Y/N put a foot on his panting chest.
“You thought you’d win this fight? My brothers have taught me just about everything they know, Bad. I’m honestly a little embarrassed for you so I’ll spare you, but if you or your stupid egg ever come for me or my family again I won’t be so generous.”
The color came back into his eyes but the look of fear stayed on his face as he quickly stood up and rushed out of the house.
They sat on the floor, broken vases and fallen chairs surrounding them, in disbelief of what had just happened.
They didn’t know how long they had been sitting there, but when their family entered the house they figured it must’ve been a long time.
Their family member's concern grew immediately as they stepped into the trashed house finding the youngest member sobbing.
Wilbur scooped the small child into his arms holding them close and trying to calm them down by whispering small affirmations.
“I’m sorry.” They whispered once the tears stopped and Phil crouched down next to his two kids.
“What are you apologizing for, hon?”
“Everything’s a mess!” They exclaimed as if it was the end of the world.
“I don’t care about that, what happened?”
“Bad. He came looking for Tommy and then he turned all scary, saying something about how the egg needed to meet me. He tried to take me but I fought.”
“I’m gonna fucking kill him.” Tommy seethed as Techno picked up the chairs and set the first aid kit on the table.
Wilbur carried Y/N to the chair and the two oldest boys immediately noticed the large scratch across their throat.
Techno began cleaning the wound, much like they had done for him a million times before. Luckily it wasn’t too deep, just enough to draw a little blood.
A few more tiny scratches littered their arms, surrounded by bruises, Techno giving each one attention.
“You’re so brave, you know that right?” He asked.
“I don’t feel brave.”
“You fought Bad all on your own and managed to get out of it with barely any injuries, I’d say that’s pretty brave.” He smiled looking at his sibling. “Plus, you’ll have a pretty cool battle scar once this heals up.”
Y/N reciprocated his smile as he continued expressing how proud he was.
“I’d say you’re about ready to start fighting with us.” Wilbur said approaching the table and handing Y/N a cup of warm tea.
Gratefully taking the cup Y/N smiled at their brother, excited by the thought of standing with their family on a battlefield.

Hello! How are you doing today? I was wondering if you could maybe do a part two of ‘Safe behind Glass’ of the reader re-connecting with the others in the Dream smp who were worried about them/searching for them and maybe the reader going to visit the bench trio in the prison to say final goodbyes, kinda like Tommy tried to do to Dream, and when they leave the prison the day ends with them ready to continue life being surrounded with people that care about them. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to though! And I apologize if this doesn’t make sense!
Here it is! After pretty much two months of being dead, and not responding to asks (Sorry anons. Mental Health comes first.), I have been temporarily revived! Now! This revival is temporary as I have finally gotten into college, but this means my writing will be little to non-existent.
Anyway, sorry for rambling! Here is Safe Behind Glass part two! The prison visiting will be a fic, in the next chapter, this is basically the 'healing' chapter.
Part One
Free from the Glass (Yandere!Plat!C!Bench Trio x GN!Reader)
You weren't exactly sure what was happening... It was loud and bright and there were too many people talking at once.
Warning signs were going off in your head nonstop to the point where it was sending you into a panic.
Run into the trees. Remember? They kidnapped you.
Hide back in the room. It's safe and quiet.
Run to the trio. They only want to protect you.
Practically gasping for air, you ducked out of the way of a trident that was aimed at Tubbo, only to cry out as lightning hit where it landed.
Thunder roared in your ears and rain pelted down onto your shaking form, as you dodged out of the way of the grabbing hands trying to pull you to their respective side.
"(Y/n)! We only want what's safe for you! That's why to did it! Remember?" Tommy cried out in your direction as he threw a splash potion towards his enemies.
"They kidnapped you, (Y/n)! They took you away from your life, your friends! They don't want what's best for you, they want you all to themselves!" Sam called, catching his trident as it returned to him.
Despite their best efforts, you remained frozen stiff off to the side, clenching the totem and Rapple tightly as the thunderstorm continued to rage on in the sky.
Honestly, you don't know when the fighting stopped or the rain stopped hammering down on your (s/t) skin, that was slightly sunburnt after so long of not being exposed to sunlight.
Hands slowly placed themselves on your shoulders and you looked up to see Captain Puffy...
You had missed her fluffy hair... Half brown and half white, filled with rainbow dyes that were running from being in the rain...
Her skin was bruised and slightly irritated from splash potions most likely... But her eyes were so soft and loving...
It was different than the way Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo looked at you... More loving, but in... a parental way?
"(Y/n)..." She whispered, smiling softly, "It's been so long... I'm glad you're alive... Come on... Let's get you cleaned up."
The first few days passed like a blur.
Too much sun, yet too dark... Too loud, but deafeningly silent...
For the first while, you wanted nothing to do with anyone else's existence.
But you also didn't want to even think about being alone...
Eventually, you started to become more and more comfortable with people other than Ranboo, Tubbo and Tommy...
But that didn't mean that you didn't miss them. At first.
Philza had practically sobbed when he first saw you, but you didn't know if it was relief or grief.
I mean, he gained one of his 'children' back, and also a baby Piglin that Ranboo and Tubbo could no longer take care of, but at the same time lost another three. He was extremely conflicted but made sure to give you as much affection as possible.
But he was definitely happy to walk around the SMP, enjoy new drinks/foods, stargaze/cloud watch- whatever you wanted, he would happily do it.
Techno too, albeit awkward, was very happy you were alive as well.
He suggested you joined the Syndicate if you were feeling unsafe, but he definitely didn't force you. Your mind was still fragile, he understood. He was happy with whatever answer you gave.
When you had asked Techno and Phil to trade armour, they were very confused, and it took Philza a moment to understand that it was stressful for you to be wearing the same armour that the Yandere Trio helped make before they kidnapped you.
Puffy was happy to help give you therapy, but she was also constantly in the prison, desperately trying to get answers out of the trio and what drove them to kidnap someone.
Often, when you were starting to do better, Puffy would come to you and go over some of the things that happened while you were in the 'vault' as you called it.
Of course Puffy wouldn't ask you about the more touchy subjects, like when Tubbo would withhold food from you while you were being difficult, or when Ranboo would give you the silent treatment, and also when Tommy would lash out in bursts of rage.
Sam would always walk up and ask how you were if he saw you when he was gathering materials.
He scared you a bit at first, which he understood, but after quite a bit of time, you began to relax around him.
He has definitely offered to give you a channelling trident like his own.
But it was also Sam... who told you that the Trio was constantly begging to see you, using every manipulative trick in the book.
At first, Phil and Puffy were extremely against it. And so were you. They kidnapped you! You wanted nothing to do with them!
But then Philza mentioned that it would give you closure...
And you needed that...
Gods... You needed that so bad...
And now here you were, standing between Philza and Puffy, both clad in fully enchanted netherite armour...
Staring up at the entrance of the obsidian palace of a prison...
To be continued...

3 Reasons Why Captain Puffy’s Hero Arc is Necessary to the Dream SMP
(I’m just saying, if her hero arc ends up not taking off because of bad writing, I’m going to be so mad—)
So! These are points I’ve all seen made on Tumblr before, but I just thought that I would synthesize them into one meta post in order to spread my Puffy propaganda. I think Captain Puffy’s hero arc is deeply necessary to the SMP from a storytelling perspective, and I just want to explore the reasons why.
1. Captain Puffy counters the current 'all is hopeless’ angle of the SMP plot.
The SMP needs someone who is unequivocally good — a paragon, of sorts. The current story that the SMP tells seems to be one of constant defeat. From characters losing their homes to giant explosions, to characters falling into mental spirals as a result of cycles of abuse and neglect, the SMP has had an overall “all hurt no comfort” tone to it recently.
Now, if the Dream SMP was a story in a book or a movie or something, I might be fine with a sad ending. But it is not. The Dream SMP is a fundamentally interactive piece of media which has a large influence over a primarily young audience. It is also not a story which started out with an intent to go all “everything is dark and hopeless”.
Time and time again, the SMP characters have picked themselves up from hopelessness. Time and time again. But it seems that post-Doomsday has seen most characters finally give into their spirals of negativity or become resigned to a status quo of violence and destruction. This makes sense for their characters; but from a storytelling standpoint, if the story of the SMP ended with everyone ultimately losing, the characters will never find a satisfying resolution. The conflict that they faced will just end up defeating them one and for all.
Captain Puffy is standing up to show that there can be another way. That the response to destruction can be hope and healing, not necessarily more destruction. It’s a much needed fresh take in the SMP’s current story.
2. Captain Puffy shows a trajectory of positive character growth.
Captain Puffy is pretty chaotic in her own right, and she initially joined the Greater Dream SMP because she liked the chaos it promised her. But after witnessing the destruction of L’manberg on Doomsday, as well as learning of Tommy and Tubbo’s internal pain, she has changed her priorities to wanting to honor L’manberg’s memory and make the SMP a better place.
I wouldn’t call that OOC of her, because since the beginning Puffy has shown great compassion to people she runs across on the SMP. From gifting Tubbo Beeinnit, to treating Niki well on their date, to viewing Dream as her little duckling, Puffy cares. It’s just that as a newcomer to the server, she was not truly aware of the prior tragedies of the server until Doomsday.
Captain Puffy setting aside her connection to Dream and her innate wish for chaos in order to help pick up the pieces of the SMP shows character growth, in a trajectory that is looking up. (I do wish it could have been more explicitly conveyed, but I think that’s more a lack of lore streams and inclusion in the greater story from the writers.)
This relates to my previous point, but the SMP sorely needs someone whose character develops in a way that provides hope to its audience.
3. Captain Puffy is a point of connection between several different plots.
Puffy has her hand in several Dream SMP plots at the moment, and her hero arc has the potential to tie them all together in a neat way.
She’s one of Eret’s knights. She’s Niki’s girlfriend. She’s got a loose alliance with the Badlands and knows about the egg. She’s still got that former connection to Dream, who was once her little duckling. She cares for L’manberg’s memory and the kids it fucked over.
The SMP right now feels fractured in its storytelling, and if it can coalesce around Puffy’s hero arc, it can all tie together in a really natural way.
All I’m saying is: Puffy supremacy!

Pairings - Wilbur x Reader
Warnings - Heavily implied NSFW, Gore-related topics, knife kinks, spitting kink, Pain kink.
Summary - Nights before L'manburg was destroyed and Wilbur went insane you meet up with him and stay over.
Word Count: 1927
L'manburg was pretty much peaceful even though Dream and everybody else didn't want it on the server. It wasn't really bothering anybody so far even though some people, it's mainly just a place to get out of the tough rules of the smp.
You hadn't got into much trouble since you were partially on dream smp's side even though you switch sides pretty often. Whichever side would win you would switch to that side because you didn't want to pick sides you'd be a villain in either's eyes.
Hanging out with Tommy was fun even though he was three years younger than you. It wasn't weird since you both had a strong relationship with Wilbur and Philza. Philza was a father figure to all of you even though you weren't in the slightest related.
Growing up with Wilbur and Techno as best friends was pretty amazing, they taught you a few things throughout your teenage years. Philza before adopting Tommy was nicer to the three of you manly you and Techno.
Being the only female was different, you didn't have special perks as a kid, you were treated like a boy just with fewer responsibilities. Thinking back from when you were a kid towards now it was very rare for people to have kids on the smp. People just adopted children when you think about it.
Techno wasn't really in the Dream smp anymore he was with Philza somewhere out there. Tommy and Tubbo were kids and nobody really wanted them to do anything, they were still sorta young so they just joined L'manburg.
Nothing to stress about at the moment, still being one of the youngest adults of the smp gave you very few privileges. You had to take advantage of them while they lasted at the moment. Since it wasn't safe to live in L'manburg or on the Dream smp you had a bunker underground.
Why wasn't it safe? Anybody who picks sides cannot change that side, if you were on L'manburg's side you would be a big target considering you did have a private association with Dream.
You were underground sorting out some armor and some blueprints, you always have to move a lot if anybody ever saw you so why not be prepared? You kept sketching and erasing multiple times until you age up and burnt it.
The smoke was pretty bad to inhale so you move to an area where there wasn't much smoke at. It's pretty much clouding up the bunker and you start coughing, it's not that bad so you grab a potion and throw it on the burning blueprints.
It's not clouded up anymore even though you could have let it burn out. You drop your armor and weapons on the ground because you wouldn't be needing it at the moment. making your way over to your seat you sit down and look at all the notes in your notebook.
Flipping through the pages seeing if you found any notes you probably had written but most likely forgot were noted down. You stop at a page because it wasn't remembered from last time, it's a note from an anonymous person saying to come to the back of L'manburg.
You look back to see if anybody's there even though there's clearly nobody there. It must have been written early when you had left out. You push your chair out and then stand up, You take a moment and hesitate to think if you should do it or not.
It's a win and lose situation but what's life without a few risks? You leave from the seating of the area and walk over towards the ladder. Before climbing up the ladder you turn the lights off not wanting to draw any unwanted attention.
You grab onto the ladder and push yourself up placing your legs on the ladder, you climb up the ladder. Once you reach the top you push the top open and the trap door was forced open, you place one hand on the ground and place another hand on the ground.
You push yourself up and get on the top of the surface part of the ground. You take a small breathe and close the top. You push yourself up from off of the ground, you knew where L'manburg was since it was a pretty often visit.
You move throughout all the leaves and in vines, it's pretty normal to walk through it all. A few thoughts crossed your mind thinking about it, Dream wouldn't try contacting you that way he'd just catch you in the middle of the Dream smp and pull you to the side.
Thinking about meeting in L'manburg it would only be Tommy, Tubbo, Wilbur, Eret, Fundy, or Niki. It's not really Important who invited you but you really did want to know. You walk over to the area of the Dream smp and pass Tommy's house. It's pretty abandoned but you didn't bother starring at it too long.
You walk past it and walk towards the bridge that usually leads to L'manburg, you stop for a moment and hear a singing noise. It's not anywhere in sight per say but it's loud enough to hear. It's within the walls beside you and you put your ear on the wall.
It's more of a humming sound, you remove your ear from the wall and roam your hands along it. You hit a button along the wall not surprised but the wall opens up and the humming is more clear.
You enter inside of the cobblestone room not really expecting anything. The floor made a little sound when you entered inside of the room. You look on the ground and there's a few blood clots on the floor and some guts along with it.
You cover your mouth backing yourself backing into the corner. You sorta had a dislike of blood, not Hemophobia but it wasn't your favorite to be in a room filled with something dead. You look up and see Wilbur finishing cutting something up.
He already heard you since you had entered the room. He turns around and removes his gloves which were stained with blood. It's not a human thankfully but it's a dead animal, still very uncomfortable in this situation.
Wilbur looks up at you not very surprised  up at the moment, " What's wrong?" The whole display itself was wrong. You uncover your mouth smelling all the disgusting rotting corpses, "You're killing animals and letting them rot," How is he not disgusted? You roam around the room seeing more dead animals.
Wilbur tries explaining himself while coming towards you, but you get very distracted by all the blood splatter on the ground and much more graphic stuff. You weren't looking at him meaning that he knew your attention wasn't on his apology.
He grabs your hair and tugs on it making you shift your attention at him. Pulling and tugging on your hair really hurt because it's like being forced by Wilbur. As tough as you seemed whenever you had armor on being without armor is a completely different story.
"What's wrong tell me, you had a lot of nerve coming from somebody who would fuck literally anybody attractive enough," It's very weak of you to get degraded by somebody who doesn't even know how to defend himself.
"Or anybody who even found you attractive," You knew your worth but whenever somebody tells you something about criticizing yourself you'd just believe it and fix yourself. Was he right? You can't answer that yourself.
You had gone pretty silent and it causes Wilbur to get more aggressive with you. He knees your in your stomach not damaging your internal organs but it just made you feel weak and you tremble on your knees.
You grip onto your stomach squeezing it together, He's treating you like complete shit. He stops kneeing you and he pinches your cheek practically teasing you. You weren't even supposed to be meeting Wilbur at the moment.
Responding would get you in trouble and not responding would get you in more trouble. He's very agitated at the moment and he grabs the pocket knife from his pocket putting it towards your thigh.
"Can I Carve our Initials on your thigh," He asks you, You weren't too fond of punishment but you did like the attention being craved. You nod your head slightly and he removes his hand from your hair.
He grabs onto your thigh and you fall down stinging your back. He slowly starts carving your initials on your thigh, you don't make the loud noises you want to because he'll just end up cursing you out.
You wanted to curse so badly even though you liked it when he inflicted the pain, But why was it only acceptable when he did it. He was only done carving the 'W' halfway, you flinch and he messes up.
It a swerved 'W' and it looks very crossed out, He's upset with you and gets up from squatting. You try communicating with him, "Wilbur?" He's not necessarily listening to blocking out the thoughts.
He puts his foot in between your legs pushing it further near your shorts, His shoes against your clit. You can't tell what his original thoughts are, before you can even react he kicks you in your side. You fall on your face gripping onto your lower half, it's like a period without the loose blood clots.
He squats down and grabs onto your hair pulling you up making you look up at him, "Such a slut aren't you darling?" He spits on your face and it drips off of your face on the ground, is this really who you were such a despite slut that you would let a man do this to you?
Most definitely, you try smiling at him but it's a half-smile since you were in pain. "You holding up good slut?" He asks while looking you in your eyes, you nod as a response and try getting off of your sides.
You weren't damaged that badly you could always heal from it... He lets go of your hair once you were stable enough to stay on your knees. He takes his belt off and takes his pants down, he places the belt around your neck and ties it.
He takes his boxers off and grabs his dick which was already erected due to sadism. "C'mon slut, suck," He tugs on the end of the belt and you put your mouth on his dick, following rules in such a bad position in your life. Never would you have thought you would be sucking off Wilbur..
You take it slow at first not wanting to rush it since you weren't experienced as much, you mainly focus on the tip of his cock and rub your tongue over and over on his slit. Whenever he feels like he would release something he tugged on the belt making you gag on him.
It was hard to take him and focus on not being choked up by his belt, He's not the strongest of keeping his moans in. He climaxes inside of your mouth and some gets on your cheek, He wipes the semen off of your face.
"Is this okay darling?" he kisses your cheek and helps you clean yourself up, at least he did aftercare..

Before I get into it, I want to state that is EXPLICITLY an analysis of the Characters, and is not intended to touch on how the cc’s played them in a meta sense unless specifically stated otherwise.
Also, this is technically a part two to my other post, which took a more in depth look at Techno and Phil’s reactions to Tommy’s death. It’s not necessary when reading this post, but I don’t address their reactions here.
So. The question must be asked.
Are we [the Syndicate] the baddies?
Yes.
The End.
Why are the Syndicate the baddies?
They got damn logo is a wither skull.
The End.
That's not how this works.
Yeah, yeah. You’re right.
The Syndicate's goals as an organization are not inherently bad. They seem to have good intentions behind them, and the focus on the freedom of it's individual group members is important to remember when talking about it; It is not a government. There is no hierarchical power system. No one is forced to do anything against their will, or surrender any of their rights or power to remain a member. It is not a government.
I also want to address Techno and Phil backing Ranboo into a corner – I see them getting a lot of flack for this, but I personally do not think it is relevant to the greater discussion, or necessarily representative of any contradictions within the organization. It was clearly played for laughs, and after they back off they clarify to Ranboo that they won't force him. Then later when Phil and Ranboo are alone, Ranboo feels safe enough to express that he felt like he was pressured into it, and Phil assures him he is allowed to leave whenever he wants; He is not being forced to do anything, and he is not being coerced or blackmailed.
None of the Syndicate members have done any wrongs against each other in the context of the Syndicate, OR gone against any of the Syndicate's core principles.
That, said, holy shit are they the baddies.
Listen, there's trying to telegraph a meaning or message to the audience and then there's having your logo be wither skulls on blackstone. That is straight out of the skit I keep referencing, seriously.
Okay, but, they laughed at it! It was played as a joke, just like the Ranboo thing!
The Ranboo thing was improv, the Syndicate's headquarters were planned – the artistic choices that they made reflect on what role they want the build and the organization inhabiting it to play in the future storylines.
Wither Skulls kind of have some CONNOTATIONS. Techno is an English major, I don't think he chose the most threatening imagery possible on accident, and then joked about the way people would interpret it just to stir the pot. This reads as hugely intentional.
And beyond that, the jokes they make during this part aren't “haha yeah, we look bad but we're actually good!” they're “you can tell by looking at these that we're the good guys wink wink, this is good guy stuff right here :)” It is a joke about how they are definitely not the good guys. This isn't even a case of unreliable narrators, this is one step down from flat out saying the meta intent.
But okay, I hear you, I'm talking about things that haven't happened yet. The Syndicate hasn't used any Withers, they could be an aesthetic choice.  Lets look at what they do in practice.
So, they barge into private property, assess Snowchester's right to continue existing based entirely on their own ideals of what Freedom is, and then only once Tubbo assures them that they have no standing leader do they grant the place their approval to, and I gotta stress this part, continue existing.
In my Quackity meta, I already talked about how Government in the context of a M1necraft RP cannot be compared to IRL Governments on a one-to-one scale. They don't serve the same purposes or have the same type of power. What I didn't talk about was Agency in the context of m1necraft governments.
In an irl government, if you are born into one, you can't really leave without committing a massive overhaul on your life, which can be expensive and difficult, if not impossible for many people. Even in a “benevolent” government, the simple physicality of where you were born can prevent you from leaving it easily.
The same hurdles do not exist in the Dream SMP. People who join M1necraft governments choose to. They want to, either at the beginning when they form one, or later on when they join up. So far, no Government has just Sprung Up and forced the current residents of an area to become dependent on them, except maybe the Eggpire, who's status as a government is... shakey.
And even when people want to leave or separate from the government, they have been historically able to do so without any trouble or any effort from said governments to stop them. Jack Manifold emancipated from Manberg. Fundy and Quackity both left to start new nations. In all cases they were allowed to do so without any attempts on the part of the governments to stop them, either through force, or institutions preventing them from doing so.
The most anyone has lost when leaving a government is their house, which is still usually their property anyway, and is something that is easily rebuilt elsewhere and is inconvenient to move anyway.
The only exceptions to this might be Schlatt exiling Wilbur and Tommy - but even then, they weren’t trying to leave, they were trying to get back in, and of course the original L’manberg revolution, where Dream attempted to force L’manberg back into the Dream SMP, which wasn’t even a government at that point in time.
I don’t consider Phil’s house arrest an example of a government forcing someone to stay a citizen - that was treated less as a matter of a citizen wanting to leave the country and more as a threat to national security. Still pretty fucked up, but it’s a different issue.
What I'm saying is, If Tubbo wants to create a government out in the middle of nowhere, threatening no one, forcing no one to join either through force or desperation, and allowing people to join willingly because they want to, then he should be allowed to do that.
The Irony of the Syndicate, a group of people consisting of some of the richest, strongest people on the server, going around and enforcing 'Freedom' that entails no one person having more power than any other, is absurd.
It shows an extreme lack of self-awareness and/or self-righteousness, as they seem to think that they deserve to be the ones who decide what constitutes a government.
Snowchester is a small independent nation - they shouldn’t have to live in fear of being obliterated if they don’t walk on eggshells to meet an arbitrary standard decided by people who’s only authority on the matter COMES FROM THEIR PERSONAL POWER. No one elected them! No one chose them! They were not “approved” by the server at large to enact this kind of law.
The Syndicate are not a government, but they are an unsupervised power structure exerting their ideals on a land that did not ask for them. Like, These people have invented an actual Authoritarian-Anarchist faction. How the hell did they manage this?????
Back on topic.
Tubbo shows them the crater left by his nukes. The reaction is oddly positive – the nukes are fine by the morals of the Syndicate, apparently. I'd argue that they come across as more impressed than anything else; they seem to respect Tubbo for having gotten ahold of “real” power.
(There's a few good memes out there about “We can excuse nuclear weaponry, but we draw the line at Government!”)
So. By the Syndicate's standards: A single person or group of acceptably equal persons with weapons of mass-destruction are only worth “keeping an eye on” because they might provoke other people.
Like, I consider Project Dreamcatcher to be one of, if not the most morally ambiguous thing Tubbo has ever done, largely because it was all on his own initiative. He holds some culpability for The Butcher Army and Phil's house arrest, but they weren't his ideas and he was mostly following Quackity at that point.
And Phil tells Tubbo, IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEEING THE NUCLEAR CRATER:
“Looks like you've reformed a little bit Tubbo, I'm proud.”
And it's fine. Crimes against nature? Fine. A sign of healing in fact!! Tubbo is having a sweeeelll time and he definitely didn't make these nukes specifically in fear of being attacked by these exact people! Tubbo is doing great. Tubbo is doing fine. Tubbo. is. FINE.
Anyway.
I don't think this presentation of the Syndicate was an accident. Looking at the greater lore of SMP right now, after the Egg is done, their list of enemies is slim, and considering that they seem solely invested in taking down governments, that leaves maybe Snowchester, Kinoko Kingdom, and Eret and the greater Dream SMP.
Snowchester has not been shown to be corrupt, evil, or have any intent to go down that route. The most ambiguous thing they've done is, again, is the nukes. Other than that, it's pretty much your average cottagecore snow village.
Kinoko is presented in an even more morally 'good' light, Karl having founded it specifically for his Time-travel library purposes, which are currently being treated by the narrative as a selfless act, if not downright heroic.
Eret is also a fairly 'good' aligned character atm. He's been on that redemption grind since the og betrayal, and doesn't seem keen on backtracking. He's actively tried to leverage his position as king to make things better, and hasn't been quiet about that. He was also 'validated' by Tommy*, a character who has been described both by his allies and enemies as “the hero,” so take that as you will.
What I'm getting at is, all of the current potential enemies for the Syndicate aside from the Egg, are currently being cast as 'good,' and if they were to be attacked, they would undoubtedly have the moral high-ground, unless something drastically changed.
The only potential shakeups I can think of is are a Dream escape and/or a Wilbur revival, both of which could draw the Syndicate's attention and ire, depending on how things go. That said, it's just as likely that either or both of them would join the Syndicate – Dream still has that favor, and Phil and Techno both seemed to think Wilbur would've agreed with their blowing up L'manberg.
Both of those characters are currently **villains – the fact that they're both prime candidates for the Syndicate is a huge indication of the direction it's going to go as the plot moves forward.
((*I know some people are gonna come at me for painting Tommy as the “deciding factor” of what is morally good, so lemme just stop you there. I'm not talking about Tommy somehow having the 'right' to decide who is and isn't good, and definitely not the right to decide who should and shouldn't be king. I'm saying that Tommy, a character who the narrative treats as, if not a good person, then a person who is trying to be good, was in support of Eret, a character who has also been trying to be good.
Eret doesn't gain the moral highground because Tommy said so, he gets it because a character who the narrative treats as trying to do better, acknowledged Eret's earnest attempts at doing the same.
**I'm referring to Wilbur here as a villain because Tommy seemed convinced he would be if he were to be brought back. There is always the possibility that he's wrong.))
So, to summarize this: I read the Syndicate as being intentionally positioned as future antagonists, if not outright villains of a future arc. They are NOT a Government but their goals are contradictory with their means, and it is important to keep in mind that they plan to enforce their own brand of freedom on people who did not grant them either the authority or permission to do so.
So, uh. Can you tell I loved these streams? They were seriously so good. I kept switching between Ranboo and Techno's POV's trying to keep up with everything. I still have to watch Niki's!
All in all, I'm super, super excited for whats coming next, egg stuff, Syndicate stuff, Tommy stuff, all of it.
