resisted writing my time travel peter maximoff fic for one singular day WIP
A/N: For the purposes of this fic i am ignoring Dark Phoenix because this is based off a really detailed dream i had
When Magneto had joined the X-Men (as coined by Raven) after the events of Apocalypse, Peter had thought āthis might be my chance to tell himā. But as the weeks passed, and Erik stayed, Peterās confidence plummeted. He stopped thinking, āis this the right moment to tell him?ā and started thinking āwhat if he asks why I waited so long to tell him?ā. Ororo and Raven both tried to nudge him into action, but their pushes only made him curl up tighter into his metaphorical shell. It didnāt help that Erik signed up to be a teacher, and help out with the children, and Raven must have told Charles something because Peter found his schedule included Erikās class. He hadnāt even agreed to go to school there. As far as Peter was concerned, his days of school were over. Heās just a grown man living in his momās basement, occasionally saving the world. Except now he had a class schedule where his father was his teacher, he had a room of his own at Charlesās mansion, and someone mustāve told his mom because she actually called him to let him know that she was so proud that he was āpursuing further educationā.
Great. Just great.
Having Erik as a teacher was surprisinglyā¦. normal. Erik was teaching history, of all things, but Peter held back from cracking any joke relating age to knowledge of history. He was trying to make his dad like him, first. And Erik was a good teacher; he was encouraging, he didnāt lash out, though he rarely gave much more than a tight-lipped smile when anyone answered a question right.
Peter soaked up any time with Erik like a sponge. He didnāt attend the X-Men training, so all Peter had was class and the times after class, during mealtimes that Peter normally wouldāve rushed off after cleaning his plate. Instead, Peter found himself even loitering outside Erikās class during study hours, scuffing the ground with his shoe. If the wooden floor was worn down outside Erikās door, no one would know it was because of Peter. Except, you know, Charles. And probably Raven. And maybe Hank because Raven told Hank everything. And Ororo. And Jean. And Scott because Jean tells Scott everything. And Kurt because Scott canāt keep his mouth shut. And-
The point was, if Erik had any suspicions about Peter spending a lot of time outside his door, he didnāt let on. He treated Peter almost like any other student, save for more tight-lipped smiles. It was probably because he remembered Peter broke him out of the Pentagon, or something, but the almost unnoticeable special treatment gave Peter hope. Not enough hope to do anything about it, though.
Peter kept loitering around Erik. Raven kept pushing him. Nothing came out of Peterās mouth.
They were fighting a villain when it all came to a head. It was a dangerous mutant, more powerful than the average mutant, one who had been attacking other mutants in some sort of lashing-out moment, furious at their own differences and taking it out on their people instead of the humans. It wouldnāt have mattered who the mutant was lashing out about, as the X-Men wouldāve come to save the day either way. But the mutant was strong, strong enough to take out Scott in a single hit, so Magneto and Raven were even on their side to help take down the villain. Or āA misunderstood, hurting individual,ā as the Charles in Peterās head chides. Not the real Charles, mind you, just Peterās interpretation of what Charles might say in this moment. God, he must drive Charles up the walls every time the telepath takes a peek inside the speedsterās head.
They were fighting the villain, Scott was down and thus Jean was preoccupied. Ororo was cooking up a storm and Raven was planning something with Hank, but whatever their plan was, it wasnāt happening fast enough. It was essentially Erik and Peter alone against the villain.
āWhat a duo we make, huh?ā Peter tried to say as he dodged the mutantās blows with ease. He wasnāt really sure what the mutantās powers were. Super strength, for sure, but there was something else there that made the telepaths useless.Ā
āLess talking, more taking down the threat,ā Erik snapped back, summoning metal to throw at the man with a curl of his fingers. Right. Right right right.
Peter threw a hit at the mutant and then bounced away as the mutant released some sort of force field that wouldāve blown him backward if Peter hadnāt been out of range already.
āWeāve got something, just buy us some time!ā Raven shouts into the earpiece over comms. What were they even doing before then, if not buying time? Peter wonders sarcastically, but keeps the snark to himself. He lands another two hits on the mutant, but itās hard to get up close to the villain as Erik is shooting metal from all directions at the mutant.
āGot it!ā Raven barks, and the mutant jerks his head in the direction of the blue duo. Peter takes advantage of the distraction to leap forward and land another hit.
āPeter look out!ā Erik barks suddenly, and Peter turns to see Raven pointing some sort of mechanical contraption, no doubt built by Hank, at the mutant. Which means, by extension, it was pointed at Peter. He steps backward, alarmed, but he trips over some debris and goes down.
āAre you fucking kidding me-ā Peter starts to say, just as the machine blasts a beam that surrounds him. Itās bright, too bright, and he closes ihs eyes against the blinding light as pain consumes him. He lets out a shout, and Erik lunges forward, but Peter is already gone.
#i havent written xmen fics in a hot second rip#cant tell fi my writing needs a brush up becCAUSE i havent written in a hot second#or if its ebcause i like to write Peter's POV in a rambling confusing style#either side its kinda ick but i can you know. go back over this and make some changes#x men#time travel fic#peter maximoff#erik lehnsherr#xmen fanfiction#me when i hate starting fics off already in a situation TM#i need the background. the lore. the summary of the situation at hand. i know some people write action first THEN backstory but i#physically cannot do that. you need a little summary lol#peter 'are you fucking kidding me' maximoff#la lalalalala i love ambiguous villains that only exist for plot#quicksilver#magneto#dadneto

I think I'm one of the only three people on earth who actually quite likes Paimon (barring some... interesting situations) and her voice.
So many people say she's annoying but I'm like. But I love her, your honor. She's so supportive and empathic, your honor. She's excited about everything and feels a bit like a little kid and I want to protect her, your honor.
Like idk. I like her. I think her voice direction is pretty neat. I'm in the minority, but I'm also pretty set on it, so.
(I'm playing Ei's second quest and just... Paimon's voice is killing me. I'm having cute agression feelings and nowhere to vent them so)
#Paimon: Our Emergency Food#My genshin tag#Like pretty much all the Interesting Situations tm have to do with#Both the Traveler and Paimon treat the Fatui#Like don't get me wrong#In this house we hate the organization#I'm Stars: Residential Fatui Hater#But at the same time#Things like in the Ganyu quest#Do Not Sit Well With Me#I get that it's for the comedy#But it's Bad#I choose to believe it's OOC for all characters involved#And no one can stop me from distorting reality if I so wish to#No one has to agree#but I think A) Paimon deserves a fan (she puts us with us a Lot lol)#And B) It's wrong to hurt people just in general#apart from like self-defense where the point is to protect yourself more than hurt another person#Even if the other person is a Fatui!#Because human dignity! And human rights!#(And human wrongs!)#Anyway point is I'm willing to do it all so#Wow I have a lot of tags God bless y'all

you know, maybe I'm wrong, but my interpretation of Anakin/Vader and Redeemed Anakin is that he pretty much is aware he's terrible. He pretty much thinks of himself as a monster even before becoming Vader, he considers himself one as soon as he had to leave Shmi to survive as a slave alone while he got to become The Chosen One and travel the stars (his basic understanding of love is self-sacrifice), he knows the tusken massacre was bad, he knows murdering disarmed Dooku was bad; he knew turning against the jedi and helping Palpatine was bad; he's extremelly self aware of his violence and hates himself for it.
I think it's easy to think of him as nonchalant or as sort of a shameless dick about it all because his General At War Persona was to be jokey and pretend he's having fun. He's very confident on his ability for Murder (tm), he (tragically) became one of the Best general jedis in the order by becoming good at murder, he's useful when he's being murderous at the right people; so he has no doubts on his abilities on this regard; that doesn't mean he isn't aware of how fucked up and cruel it is, but he keeps doing it, and it's all he knows; he was born in violence, raised in violence, taught to yield a extremelly dangerous weapon, groomed into violence, rewarded for violence, cheered for violence, with Ahsoka then he had to teach violence, and then violence just became something that ran in his blood, it came to him easily, too easily because he was never given the means to deal with such a extreme hyperviolent paradigm. So yep, he knows he's good at murder and little self-preservation.
And he probably despised himself for it, he saw himself as less than a being with human rights, he saw himself as a weapon and he hated not being seen as a person, and at some point he became apathic about it, the fight left him as soon as he had no future with a family. As Vader his hate and anger is just cold fury, is mostly apathy and a void of emotions, there's just pain and self-disgust and regret and old anger, there's not even trying to be something else anymore, it's all he's ever been good at and all he's being asked to do.
So redeemed Anakin (which canonically just means Ghost Anakin lmao) acting oblivious or playing the dumb or victim card it's just something I can't even imagine him to do; like Anakin is aware of being violent and messed up and Bad, but he is completely unable to concieve the idea of having been a victim because besides violence, Anakin's other big trait is that he never ever processes trauma and he horrifically has a history of blaming himself instead of the people who owned him.
This guy, when he was at his best as a Jedi, was pathologically prone to suicidal missions even when it wasn't a necessity, he thinks he's an asset, a means for his superiors to impose their stance and chose to own it, instead of blaming his superiors he just hates himself because he can't stop pathetically reliving when he left his mom behind, when he carried her corpse, when he retaliated against even innocents including kids, when he hurt PadmƩ, all the times he failed, and the he lived in his personal, fitly created just for him, inferno and had no plans to escape it until one certain sunshine farmer showed up, and all because he thinks he deserves the torture and the abuse and being owned because he's just good at murder and nothing else.
So yeah, no one probably hates him more than himself. Someone could tell Ghost Anakin he's a monster, the worst thing that ever happened in the galaxy and he would say "Yes." And no attempts at arguing or whatsoever, his dignity couldn't be lower if he tried, he would half-heartly agree if someone like Luke said the emperor did him wrong by, y'know, torture him? But then he would also say something like "Well, yes, but cruelty is the way of the Sith, what else could be expected", he's just terribly messed up and couldn't stop himself from defending, at least a little, his literal groomer and abuser and master, and he certainly won't expect forgiveness, like,,,,at all. He can, and will, make excuses for people directly hurting him, but he also would retaliate in terrible ways against anyone, guilty or not, if it meant doing it for someone he cared about.
So Anakin is just...used to being used, and falls easily into being used because it's what he knows best, freedom feels useless and uncertain after he lost padmƩ.
It's an increĆble vicious circle: He worked himself hard to be useful because being useful it's what makes people like him and a means of survival, he then hates himself for being just useful and loosing his personhood, and because he hates himself and thinks he doesn't deserve any sort of...human rights, he keeps on being a mere weapon, an object, but what a good and expensive weapon at least, repeat.
So nope, this guy would be completely unable to even dare to play the victim or excuse himself, even less act as if he doesn't understand he did wrong.

What's your opinion on Hermes in adaptations ? I personally think that, like with other gods, a lot of nuance is often lost.
He's usually just a fun speedy guy in modern vision and we don't really see his status as god of merchants, travels, rhetoric, theft or his role as a psychopomp. It's really a shame, honestly.
He's portrayed as a bit witty, but I'd love to see him more as a trickster god (like in Argos' story), a persuasive talker, a traveler who explores the world and his relationships to mortals and various gods alike.
(like his relationship to youthfulness, being the second youngest Olympian, at odds with Apollo before reaching an agreement, taking care of Pan then Dionysus, some interactions with his mom Maia or his chthonic coworkers, etc...)
Idk I wanted to talk about him a bit instead of complaining about Dionysus for the 100th time this week š¤£. Since Hermes is your favorite god, I thought it'd interest you š.
@superkooku thank you for this ask aaaahhhh!!!
Honestly, Hermes as a deity has so many layers of potential when it comes to story writing, and while he is a Certified Happy Go Lucky Extrovert^TM, there are so many aspects of him that aren't just the comedic messenger!!
I could make a list of all the aspects of Hermes I'd personally love to see more in modern media, so here we go:
Hermes' role as the god of thieves and trickery (his darker self, his suave nature, how he killed one of Hera's favorite servants so effortlessly and still remains in her good graces? His caduceus has two snakes- in a dual way representing his slyness along with his role as a protector)
Hermes' role as the god of trade and merchants (you telling me my boy won't be good at haggling prices and owning the market? I need some version of him where he owns the black market or some crazy stuff)
Hermes' role as a psychopomp (and by extension his relationship with his Uncle Hades. What is his relationship with the other chthonic gods? I love what Hades Supergiant did with Hermes/Charon but I long for more! Especially when he's very much there as Persephone's personal escort to and fro the Underworld. Thanatos should not get all the credit for reaping souls and guiding them home. )
Hermes and Maia (extroverted son, introverted mom, so many things we can explore here! How he felt growing up in that cave, his relationship with Arcas who his mother adopted!)
Hermes and Zeus (his aspect of being the god of hospitality!!) (Modern Media might never give us the Zeus-Hermes-Baucis-Philemon adventures but I am still for it always)
Hermes' mental health and depression (+ the bad side of his relationship with his mother and father) (more specifically Lucian Dialogues of the Gods 4, where Hermes states he is the most miserable god in all heaven, working every day and waiting upon Zeus' grander sons from mortal women. Now in my interpretation, Zeus wouldn't be that harsh to Hermes to make him almost like an indentured servant, but reading this dialogue you can really feel his exhaustion from the God of Trade and many other things. We can all relate to the feeling of being brushed off when you're feeling down, and I think this is the least likely aspect of Hermes to be explored since we will be putting him out of the "lucky, carefree" god persona that most put him in)
Hermes and Atlas (going back to Dialogue 4, Hermes mentions being the grandson of Atlas. I find it fascinating bc how does Hermes feel looking at his grandfather? Does he hate his grandfather for siding with Kronos? Does he resent his dad for creating this void for them to not have a relationship? Does he fear that if he steps out of line Zeus could do the same to him? Does he talk to Atlas forced to hold up the sky? Very compelling stuff)
Hermes and Hera (*holds them very tightly* they are the stepmother and stepson duo. Hera can be a certified Apollo-Artemis-Dionysus hater but has almost no hate for Hermes from what I know. There is no retaliation for Argos' death, and we all know Hera can hold a grudge! She milked him once in an obscure myth and that makes him her honorary son alongside Heracles, even appearing to bind Ixion alongside Ares, Hera's biological son. Hermes even makes an effort to deliver all of the invitations to her wedding to Zeus. Sure all of these can be explained by his messenger/servant role, but they seem to have an amicable and fun relationship that most media just writes them down as "Hera hates him" looking at you Blood of Zeus **EDIT: all of these are mostly headcanon-territory, so apologies for that!)
Hermes and Perseus and his role as helper of heroes (his canon bf... people out there shipping Perseus and Medusa when HERMES IS RIGHT. THERE! Perseus is called a beloved of Hermes and I'm sad that people are erasing that in their Perseus retellings. Gifts seem to be a love language for Hermes since he gives him his sandals, sword AND invisibility helm free of charge)
Hermes and Ares / Mercury and Mars (sorry I'm biased the Ares stan in me is coming out forgive me I think Hermes and Ares as a symbiotic relationship is something that can be explored more. The Jar Myth where Hermes saves Ares lets into some of the vulnerabilities Ares has, Lucian Dialogue #1 and the differences with how they view Zeus, war vs diplomacy, both being athletic gods, both being lovers of dogs, and many other things I can pitch for the secret Ares/Hermes fans out there)
Hermes and Dionysus (more modern media of Hermes taking care of his little bro-bro!! To be best buds in the future, that's just so endearing and sweet and we need more interactions between them. Their duality is similar to Ares/Hermes, with the additional madness factor. How would Hermes react to Dionysus' darkest side as his guardian and brother? Also, Hermes would definitely shake up Dionysus' parties. Would they murder together? Maybe. Definitely.)
#hermes#greek mythology#maia#zeus#ares#dionysus#perseus#hera#atlas#hades#charon#thanatos#asks#superkooku#yes i didnt include athena and peitho and his other lovers and him as a Father they're so very fascinating too#just *pinches both his cheeks* I LOVE HIM SO MUCHHH#please chat to me more about him he's my darling angel

Have an angsty KHR AU (Playing fast and loose with flame lore and characterization. Also, I haven't figured out what the 10th Gen Guardians are doing during all this, but whatever it is, it involves So Many miscommunications.)
The AU:
Tsuna doesn't want to be a mafia boss. He hates the violence, he hates the danger, he hates knowing that if he messes up, it can get people killed.
But no one really listens to him. Not even Reborn, who just sees Tsuna's whole "I don't want to be a mafia boss" thing as a sort of juvenile rebellion phase.
(But it's not. Every time one of Tsuna's people comes home hurt, every time Tsuna has to inflict harm on the battlefield, every time Tsuna is exposed to the casual cruelty of the underworld, it damages something inside of him. It scars his soul. He hates it. He does not want to be a mafia boss.)
And then Timoteo's health declines. (These next two paragraphs were heavily inspired by Break These Chains on Me by Luki on AO3.) Tsuna, knowing his time is running out and absolutely desperate, tries to make plans to get tf out. Maybe he signs up for civilian university. Maybe he makes plans to travel. Maybe he tries to create a fake identity to just run. And Tsuna, who has learned to rely on and trust Reborn -- after everything, how could he not -- confides in him about these plans.
And Reborn -- who has never really understood why Tsuna hates the mafia -- thinks this is one last (highly irritating) attempt at a teenage rebellion. It's not entirely unexpected, what with the weight of being Don Vongola looming over Tsuna's shoulders. And so, in a true Disappointed Reborn fashion, he responds with a harsh but effective lesson. He plays along with Tsuna's escape plans for a bit, and then. And then. It's the day Tsuna plans to vanish, and Reborn sits Tsuna down at the table, with Xanxus and Timoteo, and tells Tsuna if he doesn't fall in line Bad Things are gonna happen to his people.
(Reborn does not intend this to be an actual threat. It's supposed to be a slap on the wrist. A sort of, "Yeah, you're a teenager, but you need to start conducting yourself more seriously, knock it off before I actually get mad." Sure, Vongola is threatening to kidnap Tsuna's mom, but the kidnappers are just going to take her out for tea and cake and a spa night, and when Tsuna shows up to rescue her she'll be fine. The real punishment will be the physical path to go get her -- Reborn has an Embarrassing Obstacle Course TM planned.
And so on, for all of Tsuna's precious ones.
Reborn does not consider that Tsuna might actually believe the severity of the threats. After all they've been through, after all they've done for each other, Reborn knows Tsuna would never believe that Reborn could actually hurt Tsuna's people.)
But Tsuna. Well, Tsuna's on a different page. This life is killing him, slowly, and when Reborn tells him that he never intended to help Tsuna escape, it hits Tsuna like a full-on betrayal. And while mere minutes before, Tsuna knew that Reborn would never even dream of harming Tsuna's people, Tsuna no longer can trust this. Tsuna fully and absolutely believes that Reborn's threats are real, and that there will be permanent consequences if he doesn't comply.
It gets worse.
Tsuna thought Reborn actually cared about him. Reborn had, slowly but inevitably, become something like a father to Tsuna. But in that moment, Tsuna realizes that he actually was just a job all along.
And Xanxus. Tsuna also thought Xanxus cared about him. He thought they had come to an understanding. He thought they were starting to become brothers, of a sort -- bonded by battle and trauma and shared responsibilities, by nights complaining to each other over dinner or over the phone. And as Tsuna sits across from them, hearing his people threatened and knowing he is, in fact, going to be forced to Italy, he comes to believe that none of that new brotherhood was real.
And Tsuna realizes he has no choice. He never had a choice. He will end up in Italy, as Don Vongola, no matter how much it is going to kill him inside.
And worse: the people he has come to love clearly do not love him back. If they did, they would not be doing this to him. And sitting at that kitchen table, seeing the disappointment in Reborn and Xanxus' eyes, he knows that he is never going to be enough.
But he knows, he knows, that he isn't going to survive Italy without having them in his life supporting him. Because even if they don't love him, he does, truly, love them.
And he comes to the conclusion that if he remains as he is -- weak, useless Tsuna -- not only will he inevitably lose them, but he just flat out won't survive the life stretching out (long, so long, and so so desolate) before him.
So he uses his flames.
He images the mafia boss that they want him to be (as he perceives it). He thinks about all the characteristics they must want him to have, all the things they expect him to want, and he conjures an image of this better Tsuna in his mind. And then he harmonizes with it, becomes one with this false image of himself.
But it doesn't work, not all the way. There are still bits of him, the original, weak, disappointing Tsuna left. He can feel it, in the dread at the thought of the life before him. In the shocked-hurt he feels at this betrayal. In the agony of knowing that they don't care about him, they never cared about him, they only care about his title.
So he puts those bits of himself in ice.
And suddenly, the years ahead don't seem so bad. Suddenly, the betrayal seems reasonable -- after all, wasn't he acting so silly, so juvenile, trying to escape like that. Suddenly, it doesn't matter that they don't love him back -- of course they don't, why would they love him? -- all that matters is he loves them. As long as he keeps himself in check, and matches their expectations, nothing is wrong.
Tsuna looks at them, sitting across the table, and complies with their demands.
Reborn does, for a moment, think that it happens a bit too easily. There's none of the usual screeching, no dragging of the heels, no protests. Right then, Reborn fully expects it to boil over at some point in the future. (He thinks, maybe, that Tsuna is playing along now, but will have a teenagery-protest again as it gets closer to the time they leave for Italy.)
(It never happens.)
Reborn thinks, merely, that Tsuna has put on the mantle of maturity. It's a little ahead of schedule of what he was expecting, but then again, Tsuna has always exceeded expectations.
Time passes. Timoteo's health declines. He dies. Tsuna goes to Italy, and becomes a mafia boss.
(It's a golden age. Tsuna is just as compassionate and selfless and determined as Reborn always knew he would be. There is a peace, unlike anything the underworld has ever seen, because of his rule.
This peace is a result of the core of Tsuna peeking out. It always would have happened.)
It's five years into Tsuna's reign before people begin to realize that something is really, really wrong with Tsuna.
They do figure it out, eventually. And when they do, when they realize what happened and what caused it, it breaks them, just as much as they broke Tsuna all those years ago.

no but, im kinda mad at how well that villain rauru idea is working, even together with most of the work i already did do for the first rewrite, like the thing with the shiekah using ganondorfs strong spirit to power their tech STILL WORKS, its just not the focus anymore, and its not just ganondorfs spirit, but raurus as well, rauru did this to contain gan bc rauru couldnt defeat him at that point- and he planned to return to rebuild his dreamland fantasy kingdom of light later
gan tried to break free from it using whatever means he had (miasma/malice- clamgan) taking over the guardians etc in botw (still out of revenge for being used as a power source by the ancient shiekah but not ONLY) being a way to bring attention to it, maybe to find out where the stones were held, to rebuild himself outside of his prison by any means necessary bc he knew if they both woke up fully rauru would begin his plan- it doesnt have to be that gan is goody two shoes good guy tm now, but he resistet rauru back then and is gonna do it again- and if he loses whatever was left of his body, yet his spirit remains, why wouldnt he team up with link and zelda- he cant do much as a spirit anymore but like thats gonna stop him from from fighting agaisnt his enemy
it would mean you arent one and doen in each region, but the mid point of the game flisp it around so much you have a reason to return to them again, i know backtracking isnt seen as something good all the time but ..... this would be so cool right?? and the yiga being at first an enemy and you get your fight against koga, but then after the turn you have them as allies??? and you get a cool fight against gan at the mid point too!! it can be a full fight at the end of which the reveal happens when zelda tries to intervene since she was with gan the whole time and knew what was going on and bc she has the stone still with her and then both gan and zelda are in the same room rauru goes for it since with zelda there who link trusts telling him the truth raurus gonna lose his tool (link) now anyway
the abilities i have to brainstorm again- but it could be that you get similar ones from rauru at first like i had in my first rewrite (like the hookshot or the energy infusion) like in a more sonau magicky way and after the turn point purah zelda with the help of gan rebuild it in shiekah tech, so you dont lose those abilities forever (just for that mid point reveal rauru fight you cant win) but get them back in a different way, maybe even upgradable now
the only thing that it gets fully rid of is the sages thing (they stil give you abilities in some way but not through the stones), the dragon stuff (which is a little sad but it would also keep the dragons from being something anyone can just be turned into- keeping their mystery alive) and the whole time travel stuff (GOOD i hate time travel)
POLL TIME
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#ganondoodles rewrites totk#like i alot of the first one#but most things i can literally keep#and villain rauru is honestly something so different for once#like idk it seems like im not the only one REALLY into this idea#i havent gotten this many comments on some doodles on twitter in ages#like#im genuinely so excited about this#a bit of work that was wasted but#man this is so neat isnt it???#this is making my brain go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so much i can ignore the headache and swollen eyes i got bc of yesterday#ldkgnvdjklgnkdl

Post totk Zelda talking to Link abt her creazy adventures 200k years in the past and she goes āNo Link cause low-key. I kinda hate how Rauru just gave me no other choice but to become a dragon yknow? Like he really thought he was the main character out of all this like my brother in Hylia (if she even exists anymore) this dude named Ganondorf seems pretty devious if I say so myself. But maybe itās just me-maybe but if someone came from the far future and told me not to trust a person who seems to have bad intentions and also that person from the said future has gone through a calamity where they both got almost the same name (allegedly). uhmmm!!! I would trust the person from the future i dont know!!!! Idk like he kept pushing me to side and then my new mom got killed by Ganondorf. And then Ganondorf blames Rauru for it and ngl like I donāt want to sound like a Ganondorf apologist(tm) but he was kinda right, but if he would JUST LISTEN TO ME. ALSO ALSO I mentioned your name once ONCE oh btw before my mom Sonia died btw I mention your name ONCE LINK. And this dude was like āheās our only hopeā LIKE BRO HE IS ONE MILLION YEARS INTO THE FUTURE HOW ARE WE GOING GET HIM. And he wouldnāt shut up abt you, REMEMBER WHEN WE MET GANONDORF FOR THE FIRST TIME AND HE WAS ALL UGLY AND CRUSTY AND CALLED US BY OUR FULL GOVERNMENT NAME???? YEAH IT WAS CAUSE OF RAURU. I GET ME. Cause I actually travelled to the past unlike you dweeb (teasing). And then I was there when we fought the Demon King (ganondorf if you forgor Link) and Rauru seals him with like his magic arm that he gave you AND THEN HE CALLS YOUR FULL GOVERNMENT NAME RIGHT THEN AND THERE I WAS JUST LIKE š§āāļøHELLO??? SO NOW I AM ALONE I GUESS AND THEN YOU BRING THE MASTER AND-ā and then Link abruptly goes āWho the FUCK is Sonia??ā

Okay Iām really going to try and keep this one actually concise this time. Here goes. Bad Kids, skirts, and gender.
Riz hates skirts. Originally he thought it was a trans thing - while he doesnāt have much, if any, dysphoria about his body, it always hits him hard when people misgender him and skirts are generally viewed as more feminine. And yes, while that was a part of it, he still hated skirts even when he tried one with just his friends around and they never misgendered him (apart from that one time they accidentally deadnamed him because they didnāt understand goblin grammar, but after that they never did it again). He eventually figured out that it was mostly a sensory thing because he also hated Fabianās pirate shirts because the sleeves were too floaty, and while stolen oversized hoodies were great, if they were too long all of the added fabric did sometimes send him into a meltdown.
Gorgug loves skirts, especially long skirts with big secret pockets that can hold loads of little trinkets. If a skirt doesnāt have pockets, Gorgug will get out their sewing machine and make it have pockets. He is very ambivalent towards gender and takes a pretty open approach to pronouns. He, she, they, xe, whatever you want really as long as it isnāt rude. When Gorgug says any pronouns, most people just use he/they, but xe really does mean any pronouns and it makes her really happy when the bad kids change up the pronouns.
Adaine has a complicated relationship with skirts. She figured out that she was trans pretty early on, and coming out to her parents had not been her choice. It had been a long fight with her parents to make them accept her new name and to let her wear skirts at all. However once she was around people who were much more accepting, she was able to think more about if she actually liked skirts which did end up in a 2am panic attack wondering if sheād been faking being trans the whole time. She hadnāt, she just liked wearing jeans sometimes. It was all fine.
After getting over the whole raised on toxic masculinity thing, Fabian starts having Gender Thoughts (tm). He hates it. He thought he had it all figured out, but now he (she?) is trying on skirts with Mazey and it does feel nice. But liking skirts doesnāt automatically mean heās a girl because clothes donāt have a gender and guys can wear skirts. But equally, according to Riz and Adaine, cis people donāt normally feel a weird amount of relief and happiness when accidentally hit by a gender swapping spell that lasts 24 hours. But whatever. Skirts are fun. Pronouns and gender are honestly still a bit of a mystery, but Fabian eventually decides that he and she are both fine, occasionally leaning more one way or the other. Where Gorgugās gender can be described as āno thanks :)ā Fabianās is more āyes :)ā.
Fig loves skirts. Big genderfluid energy, but most commonly uses they/them but loves a sprinkling of he and she too. Figās gender is basically just āwhatever is funniest for the bitā. Fig also loves doing drag for their concerts, flawlessly mixing hyper-masc and hyper-femme. Fig was actually one of the last to come out, partly because it didnāt feel super relevant, but there was also definitely some worry about how Ayda would react. (Ayda was fine with it and after doing some extra research of her own, started using she/they)
Kristen has a pretty simple relationship with skirts. She had been forced to wear dresses and skirts for church, and as soon as she was out of that she stopped wearing skirts completely and didnāt look back. I can never decide if itās funnier for Kristen to be the only cis one or to be the very last one to figure out that theyāre nonbinary (everyone else thought Kristen already knew and just hadnāt come out)
Bonus: Gorgug makes Boggy a little skirt and it is the cutest thing ever.
the thought of every single one of them being some sort of trans amuses the shit out of me. They really do travel in packs.

if you have any crumbs to share... about aac raz/lili/bobby dynamic pleeeez ramble to me i want info i'm so into this concept T_T
oh my guy I have so many crumbs for you. These guys have resided in the back of my brain forever but I was usually too embarrassed to say anything about it outside of a couple joke posts. But this is my house so Iām choosing to thrive and frolic.
Also a doodle of the aforementioned three before I enter my tangent :) rambling under the cut
the initial dynamic of these three goes something like
-Lili & Bobby - canāt stand his fake ass. She remembers having to deal with him at whispering rock and clearly is not very good at letting go of grudges from when she was ten. This is, in fact, Bobbyās worst nightmare. He was terrified of working for the psychonauts partially because he didnāt want to run into people he used to know. Surprise! They donāt like each other.
-Raz & Bobby. Raz has the complete opposite problem he literally barely remembers this guy. They interacted for maybe a collective hour one day when he was 10 years old, he only recalls him because Lili clocks him and reminds Raz. Bobby mostly hadnāt thought about him since camp, but did build a little (lot) bit of a resentment after seeing that weird little freak from camp pop up on different True Psychic Tales covers. That on top of Bobby now having to intern under this guy makes their relationship kind of spotty to start, for sure.
-Raz & Lili. Theyre having fun :) After having fun ādatingā as real young kids they fall out of touch during their teen years when Raz goes to travel with then circus again to try and reconnect with his family (whole other can of worms for him.) They meet back up during the late teen years and sort of pick up right where they left off, dating off and on for a bit and āofficiallyā dating long term for a little over a year now.
Both their relationships with Bobby evolve over time, naturally. Bobby and Raz have a whooole fucking thing that isnāt fully conceptualized and Is way too long a concept for me to share but their intern/mentor relationship does help them learn to get along with each other. And of course them getting along means Lili having to deal with being around Bobby more often and so it begins.
The whole ~ feelings ~ aspect mostly starts with her and Bobby I think, funnily enough. They hate each other, they want each other dead so bad, but eventually they have to learn to get along for Razās sake if nothing else. So they learn! Try to, at least. Theyāre both really bad at it.
but the āi hate you i want you deadā manages to evolve into that more friendly insulting banter some people have. āI hate you i want you deadā (complimentary.) It gives Raz a headache because it takes him a while to process that theyāre usually joking when theyāre arguing with each other now.
Lili doesnāt like when she starts to have Feelings about that shitty little freak (tm.) I think sheās somewhere on the Aro spectrum and when Raz wasnāt around she really never. Felt any sort of desire for romance with anyone else. Girl just kind of forgot about it for a bit until he showed up again. Which caused a lot of emotions. And then got used to that until Bobby is introduced into the equation and slowly she starts to feel things toward him that arenāt Rage and Disgust. Which causes a lot of emotions.
Raz I think is entirely oblivious of having any feelings toward him for the longest time. While Lili is a slow āoh god oh fuckā buildup, heās just really happy he and Bobby are getting along at all that any sort of progress in affection toward him just feels like another big win for friendship. I think it hits him all at once late at night on a random Tuesday and he just sits up in bed and stares at a wall about it.
The whole Raz and Lili communicating abt the concept of polyamory would make this insane post already twice as long and itās not a part of it all Iāve thought about anyways so weāre going to shelve it for now. But once they do reach the conclusion that they saw this guy from across the bar and they liked his vibe, they both proceed to trip over their own feet for the next however many weeks.
You see, āwoman who does not process her emotionsļæ½ļæ½ and āguy who needs a twelve step plan for everythingā is a prime combination for two people who are pulling some mad scientist shit to try and talk to this guy rather than just inviting him out to eat sometimes. And Bobby is convinced for a little bit that theyāre planning to dissect his brain or something because they keep doing that ^
On Bobbyās side of this whole equation the evolution is just his own little torment nexus for a few months.
he initially discovers heās got a thing for Lili after they start getting along more and it sucks for him. He enjoys their flirty little threats of violence but heās also close with Raz at this point so I think it just kind of makes him feel . Gross . Like man am I flirting with my friendās girlfriend I think I am. Oh heās probably going to hate me. Help.
and that concern for Raz is also a guy in the back of his brain knocking on a door very loudly trying to tell him heās bisexual but heās not quite arrived at that conclusion. Give him a few more missions where Raz grabs him while heās falling to his death and heāll get there probably.
thereās so many words. These are so many words. Iāll be honest the wacky schenanigans of the ābefore relationshipā era are so funny to me that Iāve not really had any conceptual ideas for them getting into + Being In a Relationship yet. But I hope that you like this at least! This insanely long ass post goes out to you and the one other guy whoās a fan of these three (hi)

"All you ever do is time and dimension travel, maybe get a new thing" shut the fuck up and take more unasked for dimension travel shenanigans
In the same vein as my fic idea where Obito gets kamui'd into a modern AU and kind of loses it over normal civilian guy Kakashi, please now take;
āØļø Into the (un)known and far beyond āØļø
Canon Tobirama gets zapped into a modern AU and runs face first into college student Izuna.
The catch is that the fic is told from Izuna's POV and modern AU Tobirama does exist and is like, around.
As you may assume, this causes complications!
(From here on out, Modern!Tobirama is going to be called Tobi and Canon!Tobirama is just Tobirama)
Izuna has had a hate crush on Tobi since they first met in freshman year, the feeling is not mutual Izuna barley exists on Tobi's radar and that fact infuriates him.
At first, hes convinced Tobirama is fucking with him, and Tobirama kind of assumes this might be a death bed hallucination. Something his brain came up with to keep him entertained in his final moments, yknow? But after a bit, he's quick on the uptakeā tho Izuna is very not.
Izuna is CONVINCED he's being fucked with right now and does! Not! Appreciate it!
If nothing else the really stupid look Tobirama gets on his face every time he looks at Izuna is somewhat satisfying at least.
(Tobirama meanwhile has no fucking clue how to act here. He's aware he should probably like, leave, but some sense of morbid curiosity / duty keeps him oddly spellbound as Izuna bullies him into sleeping on the couch)
(Hes... not totally convinced that this isn't some sort of really weird hallucination)
Chunks of the fic are just Izuna shoving Tobirama into the nearest closet and leaning on it very (not) casually as people who know Tobi pass by. Including but not limited to Madara and Hashirama, who Tobirama refuses to be in the same room as for multiple reasons.
Also, himself!!
Izuna is going to his classes alternating between staring at Tobi like a man possessed and being so visibly out of it that he doesn't even look at Tobi even once. And Tobi is very much noticing (Maybe Izuna really was on his radar more than he thought he was)
Izuna stop acting like a freak challenge (impossible)
I think Hikaku gets to be the first one to realize there are two Tobirama's, both bc I love Hikaku, he's just smart like that, and he'd probably keep his mouth shut ab it.
He's enterung the room then very slowly backing out and closing the door and going, "when I open the door back up I don't want to see any doppelganger of men I know is in the room over." And when he opens it Izuna is physically cringing as he leans against the closet door in a very Not Suspicous Pose(tm)
Hikaku is so tired of this already. You know what? He doesn't want to know. Have fun Izuna, please don't call him when shit inevitably catches fire.
Tempted to say some sort of threat came with Tobirama when he entered the dimension, just for funzies. But also I dunno
I also kind of want to say that we get modern Tobiizu, and that the canon Tobirama is either not interested at all or lowkey hung up on Madara.
Tobirama is catching a glimpse of modern Madara, who's visibly so much happier, and kind of just shutting down.
He is going THROUGH it as Izuna stares at him in slow dawning horror. Tobirama is sitting on the couch, head in his hands as Izuna thwacks him with a rolled up magazine and yells "DO! NOT! LOOK! AT! MY BROTHER! LIKE THAT" between each thwack
(Tobirama can't decide if this is hell or not. Maybe it's some kind of divine punishment?? Doesnt have to be hell if its just his shit karma catching up to him)
Tobirama is both a lot sharper and a lot softer than Tobi. Obviously like, killing machine vs college student, the sharpness is self explanatory. But also he's now surrounded by dead faces and yeah, he's stressed as hell, but he's finally free from paperwork hell (unlike his counter part) and in a basically conflict free world from his point of view
Also I think he's just out of practice with dealing with Izuna, who meanwhile is wayyy too comfortable with taking every shot he can get at him. Tobirama will willingly go along with his bullshit and shenanigans both because he. Kind of doesn't know how to say no to him without feeling weirdly guilty about it. And also because this is an unfamiliar world and like, they're civillians!! Izuna is getting away with so much because Tobirama doesn't have a frame of reference to know if it's normal civilian behavior for this world.
Tobi meanwhile has been consistently dealing with Izuna's shit for years and can and will shut his ass down in a heartbeat. Izuna kind of hates him.
A funny bit could actually be where Tobirama talks pretty formally, vs everyone else bc modern. Tobirama is shooting off some under the table insult he'd use at a council meeting as Izuna grumbles "holy shit just call him a dumb bitch like a normal person"
Anyways yeah it'd mostly be silly fun times with sprinkles of angst on Tobirama's part. Maybe some more dramatics if a threat did come through with Tobirama but nothing serious

A random collection of Veilguard Thoughts after completing the game, because I need to vent some feelings. spoilers below!
Firstly: I was going to love this game regardless. I came into it with the fewest amount of spoilers possible. I do love this game. I won't argue with anyone - if we have different opinions, that's fine! I won't tolerate hate, though.
This is my messy stream of consciousness, but let's start with the good stuff!
The Good:
-Gameplay was fun! Combat was fun and inventive, for someone who plays on Storyteller mode and tries to get through combat as fast as possible so I can get back to the story, it rarely aggravated me.
-The maps/puzzles are fun. They were usually easy enough to figure out on my own without looking it up, but just complex enough I felt smart when I got it. I like that the game almost always rewards you for looking around and exploring off the beaten path a bit.
-It felt like a spiritual successor to Mass Effect 2 in the way that you have to build your team up in order to save the world. I loved that.
-The griffons coming back is one of the best things in the Dragon Age universe ever, and I love that we could decide what to do with them. (But I'm kind of concerned that there's only 12, and they're...related? I feel like that's not enough individuals to grow the species back...)
-Letting us pet and hug Assan (with different animations!) over and over was one of the best things they ever did. Also, photo mode was a great idea.
-The little hints about Those Beyond The Sea we keep getting?! Dear God, I hope we get another game and get more lore. I'm dying to know. They've teased this for so long, I really, really wanna know what's up with this part of the world.
-i loved being able to choose our body proportions.
-I'm so thankful we got to make our Inquisitor and keep the same vallaslin and voice actor. I hate the outfit they gave them and how we had no choice in it, and I would have also preferred to have a choice in their prosthetic, but I'm grateful for what we did get. The missives from them were also a nice touch, and seeing the letter from the Inquisitor's love interest was SO HEALING. Tbh, in reality, I think the Inquisitor would have been involved WAY more, especially since the crossroads would have made travel basically instant across Thedas. But I get why Rook needed to stand on their own two feet.
-Morrigan/Mythal was a great touch. It made sense logically, there was character growth, and I'm glad Mythal wasn't gone entirely, but I wish we could know what's become of Kieran.
-All the VAs are so good. the world felt lush, magical, twisted, and fun, with just the right amount of tragedy and horror balanced with hope and love. Arlathan was gorgeous and tragic and horrific and I took SO MANY photos.
-we got more Dalish and more Qunlat words!!
-THE LORE. So many questions finally answered. I kind of thought we would learn that the Black City was actually the prison Solas made for the gods, but hey, maybe next time? I also still want to know if Andraste was real and more about the origins of elves as spirits, but alas...
-i loved the inventory system. I wish we could have sold equipment we didn't need instead of just the valuables, but it's a minor quibble. It was so much easier to manage, I didn't have to waste a bunch of time going through everything to find the best items for everyone
-ARCHON DORIAN PAVUS !! He was barely in the game which made me sad, but the fact that he was there at all and so glorious was wonderful. I wonder if people new to the game know or care about the significance of him being in charge of Tevinter, though, since we didn't even really get to have a conversation with him
About Solas:
I played thru DAI on release day. My first Inquisitor romanced him. When Everything Happened(tm) I was PISSED. I wanted revenge on Solas, I wanted to hunt him down. I've thought about him for 10 years, and now I am so wistful for more of him. I want to give him a hug. Moreover I want Lavellan to hug him.
Solas was INCREDIBLE in this. I loved, loved getting to see his memories firsthand - this was more than I'd hoped for - and the banter with Rook was one of the best parts of the game. Seeing him with hair - seeing him change into Fen'harel and fight a DRAGON? him helping us in the fade by baiting Elgar'nan and getting all bloody and beat up trying to help us, thinking he was going to trick us one final time? My wildest dreams came true. He was layered, he was complex, he was incredibly heroic and sympathetic and tortured and clever and absolutely ruthless. He was at turns heartbreakingly sincere and infuriatingly traitorous.
He showed a wide range of emotion; we got to see the real Solas, not the polite pretender of Inquisition. He was the shining star of the game for me. And he was sorely lacking.
We hardly got to speak to him!! It drove me nuts that we couldn't talk to him as much as our other companions. He literally knows the most about our enemies and how to defeat them. And we know he's probably planning some trickery in his lil mind prison. Why are we not checking on Solas at every chance we get?
Learning more about and speaking with Mythal? Chef's kiss. But I so, so wish that a romanced Inquisitor, along with Mythal's release of Solas, was what prompted Solas to realize there could be more to his life than rebellion and penance. He's betrayed everyone he's ever loved, and killed his closest friends, but he didn't kill her. Mythal represents his past, she's the origin of where it all went wrong - I wanted Solas to see a Lavellan that understands and forgives, even after everything, and that universal acceptance is the thing he needs to finally let go of trying to make up for what he's done. (It's fine, I'll just write a fanfic about it, whatever)
My Complaints:
-That we only can choose 3 possible variables for worldbuilding to keep from Inquisition. I think this the biggest, most egregious and disrespectful thing they did in the game, and I'm sure it's been talked about to death, but I'll just add that I hate it. I'll live with it - I'd rather they be vague than ret-con or kill off beloved characters off-screen - but still, what's the point of all of our previous choices if we don't get to see how they shape this world?
-The relationships felt SHALLOW. For a game that revolves around your companions, everything felt surface level. While I loved that almost every time you went to the Lighthouse, people were somewhere different and talking to each other, I HATED that Rook couldn't participate in their conversations. We only listened. I hate that we couldn't really ever initiate any long, deep conversations where we got to ask our companions strings of questions about themselves and their histories. I feel like I barely know Neve or Lucanis. I did like getting a bit more in depth with characters during their missions, but still...I feel like I barely know them, not the deep closeness I've felt with Dragon Age companions in the past. Nobody ever argues or disagrees with you, not really, just a couple times and it doesn't truly matter. I loved the companions. Their designs are so cool. I wanted to know everything about them and talk to them more. Why can't we ask Davrin about his vallaslin (it's obviously Ghilan'nain) and how he feels about it now that we are fighting her, especially if we're also an elf? And Bellara, why can't we ask about her tattoo and where her clan is and how she joined the Veil Jumpers? Why can't we ask Neve about her prosthetic? I loved the references to Inquisition in Harding's design, but since we couldn't import more than 3 things, she couldn't even talk about the Inquisition beyond the most vague things. Taash barely speaks at all. Emmrich has no life beyond the dead.
-The companions are so...one-note. Taash brings up being non-binary at every. single. quest, even though their adaari-ness and crossroads between being Qun and being Rivani was super interesting to me. (more on Taash in a minute.) Lucanis likes coffee. Davrin's personal quests mention "torlum" ad nauseum and the fact that Assan eats a lot. Bellara at least talks about other interests, but everyone else is so predictable. Even their banter doesn't seem to give them a lot of individual personality.
-the body models for female elves felt..a bit odd? My Rook always looked bow-legged. And do bras not exist in Thedas anymore? Lol
-The choice of who dies? HEART-WRENCHING. why was it between those two?! Why isn't the romance scene until AFTER this choice? Why doesn't the thing that happens with Harding and The Stone protect her (I thought it would!) and why don't we get any resolution to that if we lose her? I understand that Davrin was prepared to sacrifice himself as a Grey Warden, but making us lose Assan too...? Cruelty. That's what it is.
-I don't like that there are permanent deaths that happen regardless of our choices. That sucks. I know it's realistic, but this is a game, and I want my happily ever after for everyone, DAMN IT! The twist truly shook me, and I didn't see it coming. I didn't think I'd be caught by surprise and I was.
-The characterization of Rook is all over the place. I played an elven Rook with non-traditional vallaslin (figuring that the newer generation of Dalish Veil Jumpers might blend tradition with their new focus of exploring the Veil.) At various times, my Rook has said these things: "I didn't grow up with the Dalish." "I'm Dalish where it counts. "As a fellow Dalish--" WHICH IS IT? I'm in the most elfy faction, it's not even that I picked something unlikely for an elf with a face tattoo. I don't know what you have to do, what flags you have to trigger in the code, but the game still seems so confused about who our characters are. Pick a lane, Rook!
-While I'm on this subject: it would have been so nice to be able to know from the character creator what every kind of tattoo, body paint, and scar pattern went with what faction. And for the Dalish, which god matched to which vallaslin. It would have blown my mind in a good way if our choice of vallaslin came up in any way shape or form
-I would have loved if our race and faction actually like..mattered more. Walking around the Veil Jumper camp at the beginning and nobody talking to me except Strife and Irelin, that was so boring! Nobody recognizes you or asks how you've been. Just silence. Like everyone around you is a cardboard cutout. I expected more from Bioware.
-We got so much amazing lore in this game, and I'm really happy about it! But why did Bioware have to take the most marginalized group of people in Thedas, who were barely clinging to their own language and culture and freedom to begin with, and make everything bad that ever happened THEIR FAULT? What was the thought process there? That they used to have power but their leaders were in fact so terrible that they tore themselves apart and now live on the fringes of society? It makes it feel like the elves deserved their present fate, which is...pretty sucky. I'm glad they did not massacre the elves in this game as they have in the past, and that the elves didn't become even MORE the enemy by joining with the gods, but it really feels like the humans are only going to kill more elves in retribution for their gods almost ending the whole world. Also, related: nobody ever gives us sass about being an elf, not even in Minrathous, where elves are almost entirely slaves?!
-i know everything's changing with the lore stuff we typically know, but why did it seem that existing physically in the Fade is just no big deal anymore?
-at no point does Harding mention Varric dying? They don't have a funeral, a memorial? The Inquisitor says nothing, Morrigan says nothing? I know Solas messed with rook's mind, but even after...?
-the fact that the romance scenes don't happen until after the deaths. So it's possible for your love interest to die before that? Cruelty. Also, weird places to hook up, right after I just found out someone I thought has been alive this whole time DIED AT THE BEGINNING, and another dear friend sacrificed themselves, and we aren't sad at all during this? I understand sex after loss is perfectly normal and I understand that. But at least for the scene I saw, there was no "celebration of being alive" feel, it felt...more lustful than loving? Just an abrupt tonal shift.
-it just...ends. there's the typical little wrap up slides, but they're, again, shallow. A few lines here and there. Apparently the whole of Thedas was nearly destroyed, and not a single country went unscathed, but it's all gonna be ok! The bit of hope was nice, but...I don't feel settled at all. And it seems like we won't get DLC? which...ugh. and they fired the writers, which, again, cruel. If they make another Dragon Age, I can't see it being truly Dragon Age without them.
-i decided to make Taash's whole deal and the Qun a separate post lol
All in all - so thankful we got this game, so thankful we got what we did, I'm still processing a lot of it, and the past 3 weeks of my life I have done little else but live inside this story, but I just really need to scream into the void now!!

Loser Round 6: Damian Wayne (DC) vs. Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)
Propaganda below the cut
Damian Wayne (9-14):
Damian is a kid who was raised as an assassin and because of that when he first appears he has some really messed up ideas of how to prove himself to his father by being aggressive with the criminals they capture and attacking his brother. Because of this people act like he is the most evil character ever and refuse to give him any grace. They make him out to be this awful irredeemable monster who just wants to kill his brother and hurt people. If the fandom isnāt making his out to be The Worst(tm) then they are ignoring his existence all-together. He is a really interesting character who has done some not so great things but heās grown and learned a lot through various character arcs (as much of an arc as a comic book character can have) and he deserves to be acknowledged for himself and not just as a villain so that people can woobify his brother.
āā
HES JUST A LITTLE BABY GUY!!!!! Little baby man raised as an assassin and learning how to be a real person <3. But because he was kind of a dick and also a little stabby early-on, especially to the fandom's main "so sad uwu depressed baby" blorbo (and also he's not white), people treat him like he's satan incarnate
Mabel Pines (12):
I literally saw a tiktok today about how Mabel is a bad person. Sheās 12! Like yes, she has made some mistakes and bad choices, but so has everyone else. And I never see any of the other characters in the show criticized the way she is. Everyone in the show has made mistakes (Grunkle Stan commits crimes practically every episode ffs) but because Mabel is a 12 year old girl and acts like it, she gets the most hate. Mabel deserves to be loved š©·
----
girl gets so much flack for being... immature and kind of selfish at age 12? like she had whole video essays made on why she is a horrible person who deserves punishment. god forbid girls be silly
----
!!! Spoilers for Gravity Falls last 5 episodes !!!
This has gone down a lot but when the Weirdmaggedon arc was happening, the finale of the series, a big part of the fandom started hating Mabel because she accidentally caused the Weirdmaggedon (basically an apocalypse + bizarre shit like the water tower becoming an eight-legged monster with a giant mouth).
For context, in the episode that starts this arc, "Dipper and Mabel vs The Future", Mabel is really excited to the end of their summer vacation at Grunkle Stan's house, since it will be her and Dipper's 13th birthday and they will enter high school (her idea of high school of course coming from teen movies). But then this whole idea starts to shatter when Wendy tells her that high school isn't like a Disney musical, but it's okay, she will get through this since she will be with Dipper, her twin brother...
Except, that Dipper receives an invitation by Grunkle Stan's scientist brother Ford to become his apprentice after summer ends, staying in Gravity Falls, without Mabel. When she discovers it, she gets really mad at him and in a fit of rage, she accidentally picks Dipper's bag instead of hers and runs off to the woods.
When she gets there, Blendin, a time-travelling friend of theirs finds her and tells her that he has a way of making her brother stay with her, and make the summer take a little more to end, and that he just needed a little thing that Dipper has in his bag. That thing is a dimensional rift that Dipper and Ford contained to not cause the Weirdmaggedon, but Mabel didn't knew about that and gives it to Blendin. Blendin then breaks it and it's revealed that Bill Cipher was controlling Blendin to get the rift and release the Weirdmaggedon. He then traps Mabel in a bubble, starting the final arc of the series.
So, a few episodes later, that bubble she's in is revealed to be a world of fantasy that she controls, and that she didn't want to leave that world, as she was scared of growing up etc.
Context given, A LOT OF PEOPLE HATED HER FOR THIS. Suddenly people started seeing Mabel as just a selfish girl who wanted things only her way, when she was only a 12-year-old scared of growing up without her twin brother (they do end up going back together at the end but still).
The worst part is that apparently the people behind it took note of this, and on the comics that where released after the finale, she is a selfish spoiled brat. I haven't read the comics though so I'm going off what some people said about it.

Now the stuff that could make this count as AU:
The office looksā¦ different.
After many endings, the Narrator started slightly changing the layout to keep things interesting. Somethings changed, for example: the layout of the elevator-pressing-conference; the elevator switched walls; the Narrator added a ballroom for him and Stanley; the NEW-CONTENT-door was repositioned; the escape pod ending was removed because the Narrator is scared of Stanley leaving; the broom closet is dead; the doors and desks have become wood to suit the Narratorās likings; the managerās office has started to become overgrown.
Some things have drastically changed and canāt return to normal: the line (tm) is running around freely, opening doors left and right. The memory zone is now freely accessible. Wait, what is that hallwayā¦
More things that might make this an AU:
Stanleyās clothes got dirty with blood after the zending, so TK gave him new clothes.
The Narrator is very possessive of Stanley.
The Narrator floats.
The line (tm) is constantly ignoring physics.
DO NOT COLIDE WITH THE ADVENTURELINE! (tm)
Btw here is a Textbox with my Narrator design:
Here is my TK:
The Narrator and Stanley know TK, TK is friends with the Line (tm).
The Curator knows of the others, only Stanley knows of the Curator.
TK and Line like to spread chaos, although TK isnāt able to leave the first few rooms. TK flies around, the narrator floats and Stanley walks.
The Narrator sometimes forgets the endings, like (for example) the zendingās ending.
TK can only appear in rooms with computer and uses the computers to travel. TK canāt use doors. TK can, however, use the the mirror floor and glass walls of the ballroom to travel there.
Stanley likes to spend time in the employee lounge.
The bucket exists.

Itās kind of a gross misstatement to say Cas was simply a bad friend during the season 6 arc. Dean was also a jackass. He refused to even listen that Cas had his own problems to contend with in heaven and just insulted him (Baby in a Trenchcoat) or took him for granted and prayed when he needed some angelic boost like the time travel. It was only after months of this that Dean finally had a half-ass āHey Cas, if you need any assistance with your heavenly war, let us knowā. Dean and Castiel are both equally at fault for the initial breakup.
I'm not sure why I'm getting this particular question, but yup, I agree that the situation was complex.
One of Dean's legendary coping mechanisms/neuroses is to get prickly and mean when the going gets tough, and I love to talk a lot with regards to both the fighting/hunting and the parenting of Jack Kline.
For Dean and Cas, they're both deliciously Going Through It (TM) in season 6 in different ways, Cas dealing with paranoia via the fallout of Heavenly betrayal and Dean with his complicated feelings of displacement into civilian life.
I sort of miss the days of TV when people got to screw up this badly with one another, but not in such a way that itās bludgeoning, mean-spirited cynicism, hehe. (((For example, I struggle to think of a modern era of SPN where Bobby's frustration and worry over Dean would boil out in this horrifying way: "You sorry--you're not a person," when in actuality, he's desperately begging Dean not to die, and it's coming out all wrong. Or Dean's indirect forgiveness of Cas, that Cas picks up on immediately by tone alone: "Bottom of the ninth...I'd rather have you, cursed or not.")))
But if we're talking about season 6, Cas is controlling most of the means of communication from the get-go, and the power is definitely weighted in his favor. He sets the tone for it as soon as his big heart leads him to abruptly flit from the car to go and rescue Sam. BUT it's also no accident that Dean's narrative nickname for Cas is SUPERMAN. A perfect, invincible superhero. Dean took him for granted, hero-worshipped him, and conceptualized him as perfect... something Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets reflects back in an off-key manner: "I thought he was perfect...he was a monster (and hurt my child)." The truth with Dean and Cas is not either extreme, however. ("That nifty metaphor has holes:" Cas was trying to save Sam from the get-go, on multiple occasions.) It's the humanity that's in the middle.
It's lovely! And to me, it feels so real, too. Maybe someone else can chime in, but I don't have any huge, complicated feelings about this except that I really, really like the disillusionment period on both sides!
āWe think that the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things donāt really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. Itās just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.ā - Pema Chƶdrƶn
Love isn't baggageless perfection. It's understanding, forgiveness, resilience.
DEAN (in the dream state, to MARY): I hate you. (Deans voice breaks as tears run down his face) I hate you. And I love you. 'Cause I can't ā I can't help it. You're my Mom. And I understand...'cause I have made deals to save the ones I love more than once. (Mary continues to look away but seems to hear him) I forgive you. I forgive you. For all of it. Everything.
#asks#disillusionment is fundamental#i like to think it've made that clear on my blog but y'all tell me!#i like it re: mary in s12 too ftr#rather notoriously i think... i view the baggage-less relationships as the False ones rooted in figmentary unreality#not sure this ask was meant for me?#i'm struggling to find what this refers to#but i hope this answer is okay nevertheless!!!!#i love the arcs that culminate in the protectors losing sight of the things they wanted to protect!#and s6 (and cas) is just one example among many!

Hello! So I've gotten into assassins creed thanks to you (and me lurking), this is the first time I've sent an ask because the pervious desmond time travel language barrier idea has gotten me in a strangle hold
Ok so we know that the isu are remembered by human society as myths (apple, Adam and eve, etc.)
What if the language desmond speaks due to isu bs is the isu language, but! This language is the one used before the solar flare aka. Before the "tower of Babylon" myth
It's the root of all human languages Ala atlantis lost empire
I'm thinking that this language could allow desmond to learn any language and be sort of understood by everyone, but it can't be that easy cause desmond; like the isu bs (he merged with the apple when he was sent back maybe?) makes it so that he is essentially always using the voice tm (like dune, thanks to the mind manipulation abilities of the POEs) so he's always afraid of accidentally making people do things against their will
That would make him especially attractive to the Templar so they're after him, and it would work with any assassin of any time period basically
I can image the earlier he lands the more likely it is that the assassins help him Kickstart the widespread use of sign language or at least the assassins have a sign language specifically for desmond
The āDesmond knows every language BUT any language his ancestors knowā idea from before.
Welcome to fandom, nonny! Sorry for the late greetings hahahaha. I hope youāre enjoying AC and all ideas we have floating around here XD
Iām gonna be honest. My headcanon for the Tower of Babel myth is that the Tower of Babel was meant to be one of the failed solutions for the Solar Flare that was similar to a space elevator ala Gundam 00 with long distance communication function added and the whole ādisappearing of the only languageā being a metaphor to the destruction of the communication system housed in the tower.
Anyway, for this one, weāll use your idea and make the Isu language the lost original language and, to add more salt to the āare you still human?ā wound weāve inflicted Desmond, the reason why his voice holds so much sway on everyone is because Isus have programmed humans to be more easily manipulated into doing their bidding when they use their language because, in this case, the Isusā language is primarily used by Isus. Humans use a different language that originated from the Isu language and their language is different depending on their location. The Isus made it a crime for humans to even learn the Isu language.
This will be our reason why humans have different languages in AC world and none of them were able to keep using the Isu language.
Everyone is hardwired to do Desmondās bidding and Desmond hates it. Thatās why he preferred to not talk. But he will use his āpowersā if the need ariseā¦ usually when thereās a specific Templar or target that deserves Desmondās fury.
Most of the time though, he uses sign language to speak. Many people actually assume he cannot speak but the Brotherhood and the Order knows of his power.
This means that there are rumors that Desmond is using his power to hold such powerful sway to certain Assassins in seats of power.
Which is bullshit.
Out of everyone, Desmond doesnāt want to control his ancestors the most. He feels disgusted by the very idea.
Then thereās AltaĆÆr who thinks itās a good idea to research Desmondās power primarily because:
(1) they can find out the limitation and
(2) check if one can gain resistance the more itās used on them.
Desmond can see the logic behind it but keeps saying no because he knows AltaĆÆr is doing it for his own curiosity.
By the time Ezioās time roll around, Desmond does know the limitation of his powers but AltaĆÆr didnāt leave any records of it. Whenever Ezio talks about the āresearchā they did, Desmond just stares him down until Ezio stirs (drifts) the conversation elsewhere.
Not even Leonardo can pry how AltaĆÆr and Desmondās research went.
All they know is that, whatever it is, it brought great headaches to Malik Al-Sayf.
#desmond and altaĆÆr#invent jackass#centuries before anyone should have had#for āscienceā#sidebar the isu script more or less use latin#according to ac wiki#sorta#assassin's creed#desmond miles#altaĆÆr ibn la'ahad#fic idea: assassin's creed#teecup writes/has a plot#ask and answer

Remembered I still like Sanders Sides (seriously though itās a great webseries) but the Hatchetfeild brainworms are consuming anything else (downside of a special interest) so hereās which lord in black each side would be associated with/which lord in black would mess with them/maybe even which lord in black theyād follow in a crossover au + overly detailed explanations
Under the cut cause this got long
Roman- funny how both my previous and my current special interest have a Roman in them. Roman Sanders is a much better person though fuck you Roman Murray /hj. Anyway I think this Roman would be associated with Pokotho. More in a āRoman would get tricked into following him wayā than in a āPokey would want to mess with himā way. In terms of punching bags Pokers seems to go for the people who hate his deal the most and Roman is a theatre kid so. Already not one of the people who hate his deal the most. Okay but actual reason Pokotho has a big thing with conformity, mind control, giving up your real indentity to one singular voice and Roman is known to conform. Trying to be the perfect āgoodā creativity and turning against Janus mostly because his friends didnāt trust him. Also again, theater kid. So yeah in this hypothetical crossover au thereās probably a timeline where Roman becomes a Pokotho prophet. I can also see him swinging Wiggly though, wanting to be adored kinda like Linda in Black Friday. But I think heās closer to Pokey in most ways.
Logan- Bliklotep or Pokotho. Okay so most obvious thing for Blinky is eyes, Blinky has a lot of them and Logan either is the orange side or is dealing with the orange side, the mysterious unrevealed character that made his eyes go orange that one time. But on a deeper level in Watcher World Blinky uses Alice and Billsā conflict against them, trying to make them angrier so he can watch them fight. I can see a similar situation with Logan playing out in this au where the gang goes to Watcher World and Loganās anger over being ignored is used against him. And if Orange and Logan end up not being the same person (which I stand by that theory) Orange using Loganās anger against him to cause conflict within the light sides is actually just something I can see happening in the show.
For Pokotho itās well, if you asked me to make a TGWDLM SaSi crossover Logan would be Paul. Heās the side with the least interest in theatre (Iām not sure if itās really a dislike though) and while he lacks the panic Paul has for most of TGWDLM and isnāt as much of a normal guy tm I think he fits very well. Let It Out is SUCH a Logan song you donāt even get it like imagine that song but with him and Orange hshshgshshshshshsh I NEED TO MAKE AN ANIMATIC OF IT. Also like back to the ignoring thing can you imagine like āArenāt you tired of being ignored Logan? Donāt you want to be the star of the show?ā Iām going insane. If weāre just putting Logan in the Hatchetfeild universe I think heās still more Blinky leaning but a SaSi x TGWDLM au with him as Paul would go very hard.
Patton- probably the one in the least sure on so luckily he doesnāt need as long of a paragraph. Heās just so nice I canāt really see him being singled out by any of them but he also isnāt nice in a way where he has Webby vibes so Iām just lost with him. I think either Blinky cause I can see him in a similar situation to Bill in Watcher World or Tinky cause I feel like out of all the sides Patton is the most likely to try to time travel to change or revisit the past and than get boxed because of it.
Virgil- none of them!!! Well at least none of them in particular. Why you ask? Well I think heād be associated with Webby. Okay listen, if I had a nickel for every time my special interest involved a character associated with spiders that either left or was abandoned by the main antagonist group depending on your theories and became a good guy, Iād have two nickels. Which isnāt a lot but itās weird that it happened twice. Do I need to explain further than that? Obviously Virgilās situation isnāt nearly as severe as Webbyās and the dark sides are much more redeemable sympathetic villains compared to the lords in bright ass neons black, but my point still stands. Virgil works with Webby which means various horrors have it out for him instead of any specific one!!! Yayyyyyy
Janus- another hard one to place. Iād say heād work with Wiggly most likely. Basically capitalism/greed (though the greed thing could also have him going more on the Nibbly route with like selfishness desire stuff or even like unrelated he could work for Pokey cause like mind control/manipulation isnāt that much of a stretch from his character, it is a stretch Iām lying to myself) and idk he has the vibes where I feel like heād work with the lord in black himself and not just one of his brothers. Idk he has Wilbur Cross vibes kind of not really? (itās the green apples) The thing is Janus still doesnāt hit quite the same level of evil as most antagonistic Hatchetfeild characters do but thereās no way this guy wouldnāt be caught up in something in a crossover au, so maybe he made a deal with them but doesnāt fully worship them. Idek what this post is anymore.
Remus- Hard to place because heās just such a freak (derogatory) that he kind of just has general cultist vibes (I know there are plenty of freaks in Hatchetfeild completely unconnected to the lords but Remus would be the kind of freak that is connected imo) but if I had to pick Iād say either Wiggly or Nibbly. Wiggly doesnāt have much reason, they just both insane people associated with the color green, royalty, and tentacles. Nibbly does have an explanation kind of. Heās like the god of desire kind of and I think in analysis of how heās connected to stuff (think Grace in NPMD) that kind of leads to lust associations? Which yeah fits Remus. I can see him working for Nibbly or going insane cause of him (does Nibbly even do that? Does he do things that donāt involve eating people? What even is this post) honestly I donāt really know for him Iām just saying words, would really depend on his role in this hypothetical au
Bonus: c!Thomas- honestly I donāt know for him but dare I say Pokotho. Cause A. Him and Paul donāt really act alike but they both have that panicking normal guy tm energy as protagonists. B. Heās a theatre kid. C. Idk I think it would be screwed up if the guy who the entire show centers around the mind of lost control of his mind and had his entire being warped (infection) š
#once I finish TMA Iāll do the same thing but with the fears#I think Iām actually insane#I was trying to use the lords fancy long names a little and then just gave up by the end of it#man I love sand or slides /silly#sanders sides#roman sanders#logan sanders#patton sanders#virgil sanders#janus sanders#remus sanders#the lords in black#lords in black#pokotho#bliklotep#tānoy karaxis#nibblenephim#wiggog y'wrath#hatchetfield#c!thomas
