This could be seen as a fun joke but this looks like Charlie's condition worsening to me. The next step to becoming code would be becoming more like a machine.

Here, Charlie takes an order, follows it literally to the letter, and cannot stop until the authority of the area tells him he can. (I didn't clip this, but in between these clips he tells Phil that it has to be Wilbur because he owns the land and is therefore in charge) And, when he is told he can leave, he glitches. Almost like he's processing the command, buffering.

Everyone laughs this off, distracted by the everything else going on in that stream, but this seems serious to me. It's not just small glitches anymore. Whatever is happening to him, it's progressing.
