𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 704

ANYWAY thank you sm and here is the awaited part three💕
Tumblr media
the mirror placed on the wall next to your front door has your reflection on it as you fix up your hair and lipgloss.
you still cannot fathom that you’re going on a date with nathan doe.
well, he didn’t want to admit that it was a date. he said — and quote — “we should go get something to eat this weekend. dress fancy, too!”
the ringing of the doorbell echoes through the foyer, and you give one last peek at yourself before opening the door.
nate’s dressed in a white dress shirt, black dress pants, and shoes. he has a small bouquet of tulips in his hand, your favorite flowers ever since you were little.
he remembered.
his eyes scan your body that’s hugged with a sage green dress that has some poof to it, daisies embroidered on it. the sleeves are off the shoulders, and gold jewelry decorates your ears and neck. “well, well, well. look who came to their enemy’s doorstep holding presents. how thoughtful.”
“oh, shut up. i’m here to pick you up for our date.”
his hand never left your thigh as he drove to the restaurant, and you hate to admit that the feeling made you blush.
he opens the door for you, and you step out to admire the exterior. the lights around it are dim and the colors of the building are warm earthy colors. it’s definitely an italian restaurant. also your favorite ever since you were a kid.
he remembered that, too.
the hostess brings you guys to the table, and you get settled as the both of you look through the menus.
“you look very beautiful tonight,” he says, peeking at you from above the menu since they're bigger than your heads.
you hide your smile with a lip bite. “thank you. you look handsome.”
he chuckles, tapping your foot from under the table. the waiter comes over, places your orders, and takes the menus.
nate leans on the table to admire you, smiling as you start talking. “do you know what we should do after this?”
“what should we do, pretty?”
man. that nickname’s starting to grow on you.
you grin. “we should go to barnes and noble. i need more books.”
“you don’t need more books.” he rolls his eyes. “nerd alert.”
he lets out a sound of pain when you kick him under the table. “nate, please? for me?” you give him puppy dog eyes along with a fake pout.
he crosses his arms. “we’re not going to fucking barnes and noble.”
you went to barnes and noble. you drag nate behind you by the pinky, smiling when the whiff of books hits you.
you go over to the young adult section, skimming through them to find a book that’ll interest you.
he’s leaning against the bookshelf, staring in awe. he doesn’t understand how one can love books so much, but it’s okay because it’s you.
when you find a book you like, you go over to the counter. “hello!” you greet, placing the object on the counter.
the cashier scans it, tapping a few buttons on the screen in front of her. “that’ll be $21.00.”
you go to reach for your card, but hear a BEEP and look up, seeing nate’s card inserted into the machine. “you already paid for dinner.” you say lowly.
he nudges you with his arm, taking out his card. “do you have a pen by chance?” he asks the woman, using his hand to portray a writing motion.
she gives one to him, and he moves you so you’re behind him. he starts to write something in your book, and you jump to try to look over his shoulder. it’s no use.
“na—”
“thank you.” he smiles, giving the pen back and grabbing your book. “let’s go.”
when you guys get comfortable in the car, you sigh. “what’d you write in it?”
he stares deep into your eyes, taking the book off of his lap and handing it to you without saying another word.
you hesitantly open it, and a small message written in blue pen is revealed on the inside cover.
y/n,
will you officially be my girlfriend?
circle one:
yes or yes

Track 3: John Hughes Movie - Maisie Peters
“Cause this ain't no John Hughes movie, Where the girl gets the guy // You look right through me, Every time you walk by”
Pairing: Joshua Hong x Fem!Reader
Genre: angst
Warnings: unrequited love, friends to strangers
Length: ~370
Note: fun fact, when i started drafting this series all of 95 line had angst and all of 96 had smut lmao. i only managed to change up seuncheol's bc this one felt too right and Jeonghan's was just too fun. On another note, posting this early to celebrate 400 followers??? Who are you people? Let me kiss you
Like, comment, reblog, enjoy!
Mixtape Series: Me & You Masterlist
main masterlist
This blog is intended for 18+ only! MDNI or you'll be blocked!
It hurt.
Watching the man you cared so much for look through you like you were nothing hurt.
Mingyu’s engagement party began an hour ago and in that time Joshua spoke to one once. A generic greeting at the bar, followed by a swift dismissal as he rushed back to his girlfriend.
It’d been like this since Mina came into the picture. He didn’t have time for you anymore, priorities seemingly shifting over night to accommodate the new presence in his life. You tried to understand, to extend forgiveness. Of course things couldn’t stay the same and deluding yourself into thinking they could was foolish.
The texts between Joshua and you slowed to a trickle; unanswered for days at a time until weeks passed without a word. Your weekly hangouts devolved alongside, turning into every other week, until rain check after rain check made them a thing of the past and you both only saw each other through pictures on social media.
Now you only saw him at events like this. Where Joshua and Mina remained wrapped in each others’ arms, oblivious to the room around them because they only have eyes for one another. Thick waves of infatuation rolled off them to wash away the remnants of your lifelong friendship.
It hurt.
You stayed at the party long enough to leave without being considered rude. A short round of goodbyes and congratulations while gravitating towards the door. Some sick part of your mind pleads to look back in the corner of the room, hopeful you’ll find a set of doe eyes shining with an epiphany but you know better. Every step sinks heavier with the unbearable weight of hope Josh might follow. He’d look up at your retreating figure and come to his senses; realizing the same feelings you’d suffered in silence plagued him too.
But the sharp bite of wind from the open door welcomes your solitary figure, shocking against the warm laughter at your back. A place without room for you any more.
Each click of your heel echoes across the concrete parking. Alone.
And when the glass door rattles shut, it's shutting you away from more than the restaurant you’ve left behind.

Now this had me thinking... Would Willowpelt die in the same way as canon (although to another creature im assuming since bb!badgers aren't as dangerous as they are in canon)? If she's getting kept around longer, maybe Cricketclaw is the one who sacrifices herself instead? That sounds like a fitting way for her to go, considering she couldn't protect her own siblings?
I feel like I should add a TM to anything that I'm working on in my drafts that has significant progress and is blog-plot-relevant, that will explain something exactly like this LMAO
Forgive me I am, at heart, a bear that eats half a salmon and then forgets I had a fish at all
Willowpelt's brush with death is staying, and is actually a bit plot relevant in Firestar's Quietus! I have a very specific scene which is actually totally written out-- actually fuck it, I'll just post it here
Context and narrative purpose of this scene:
Firestar is informed of a boar on the territory, and gathers a little scouting patrol to try and figure out what sort of hog it is.
VERY IMPORTANT SEGWAY. Because of how Willowpelt gets bitten here and Firestar loses a life saving Sorrelpaw, they all end up in the Cleric's den where Ferncloud is telling a story both to practice her new job as upcoming Educator and to comfort everyone.
The fact Willowpelt is not dead is how I get Littlecloud away from Runningnose and Firestar
Runningnose has a hunch, in this moment, that goody two-shoes little Firestar might be the perfect person to help Brokenstar, and teases the visions and revelations he's about to have
Establishes that boars are the new Big Bad Beastie of BB
Presents Sorrelpaw's epilepsy and demonstrates how it is a danger to her safety
(this is a lot of buildup but this is actually pretty short lmao)
So anyway before I let you go on to the readmore and a preview of Firestar's Quietus, no one takes Willowpelt's death here, and Willow is going to hang on for longer. I wanted to make sure I have a good amount of cats to kill off in the carnage of the White Hart's destruction.
Wherever Cricketclaw dies, it will be for a purpose. Either to show how bloody the TNP conflicts are, or in a greencough epidemic because I'm trying to make sure those aren't just "Kill a bunch of randos offscreen" disease anymore.
WILLOWPELT'S BOAR
The patrol is Sandstorm and Sorrelpaw, Willowpelt, Longtail and Sootpaw, and himself. It's just supposed to be for scouting, hence why the apprentices are coming along.
Unfortunately the hog has other plans, lunging out of a bush and going for Sootpaw
Willowpelt jumps in the way and gets bitten instead
Sorrelpaw acts quick, slashing its sensitive nose, drawing its attention and bolting as fast as she can
RIGHT as she crosses the Thunderpath, her body goes limp and she falls to the ground
She is having an absence seizure, and fallen flat on the road
The hog is hot on her heels, bowling after her, when a monster screeches to a halt out of nowhere
The hog is frozen in the headlights, Firestar bursts into action to pull Sorrelpaw out of the road
(i hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums) BUMP BUMP
The boar and Firestar have been hit by, have been struck by, an automobile
When he sees StarClan, they're about to greet him with love. But their faces turn to shock and fear, the scenery becoming sinister and trees falling down.
A fifth oak tree is crashing down towards them. Firestar stares at it, dumbstruck.
Just before it strikes him, his eyes snap open
Firestar resurrects with a burst of energy, dragging Sorrelpaw off the road and into the safety of a fern on the ShadowClan side
The humans are coming out of the car to examine the boar they struck, but Firestar doesn't have time to consider that or his vision.
Littlecloud's head pokes out of the foliage and he springs into action, checking them both for injury. Breathless, Firestar points behind him and rasps, "Willowpelt!"
Littlecloud nods and bolts across the road.
Runningnose saunters out from a different angle-- one where he would have been able to see the road. Everything that happened.
His gaze is unsettling as ever, pausing, eyeing the leader up and down.
He starts tending to Sorrelpaw, then mumbles,
"Brave of you."
"It's what any leader would have done."
"No. It's what you always do."
Firestar doesn't know how to respond to that, but he's glad Runningnose isn't staring at him anymore.
But continues, "You will learn terrible things in the days to come, Firestar, and StarClan will not answer the questions that find you. If you seek the truth, meet me by the mothermouth on the night after the next gathering."
Sorrelpaw is leaning up now, her eyes dazed and confused, as if she's trying to figure out what happened.

Of Part time Jobs and Hidden Feelings
SYPNOSIS. You'd think that with all those part time jobs, she'd be used to making her feelings be part time too. Alternatively, she who jumps from one part time job onto another, she should include hiding her feelings into that roster as well.
PROMPT. Can feelings be part time too?
TROPES. S2F2L. “She fell first, he fell harder”
WC. 1.9k words. (Super haba kasi if isahang post so hehe)
WARNINGS. Use of profanities. Lots of them. Sorry guys. Masyado pong pasmado ang bibig ko kaya nadala sa fanfics.
TAGS. Part-timers; Alternating point of views;
NOTES. I’ve always always wanted to write this prompt kasi matagal na siyang stuck sa utak ko. Like siguro months din ang duration ng stay nito sa utak ko omg. This was supposed to be a spin off story from my commissioned piece kaya lang I thought na it’s best to leave it be and just branch this out as something else. Hence, being a svt fanfic.
MORE NOTES. This is a mixture of smau and written fic pero mas prominent yung written. And since this is a mix of different perspectives, point oh's are Jeon's point of view. And originally, I planned on posting this as one shot kaya lang super haba na niya and I fear that sa sobrang haba, pati kayo mawalan ng gana in the middle of it so chop natin into parts.

One point Oh.
The sound of Lee Seokmin's voice had Wonwoo pausing from reaching the doorknob as he blinked while his eyebrows scrunched for a moment.
Did he hear it right? Lee Seokmin, at a convenience store at- he looked back at the wall clock behind him- two in the morning?
He knew he shouldn't judge. For all he knew, the boy could be pulling an all nighter for an exam the next day, or perhaps playing video games as a way of destressing... or whatever it is people do in the middle of the night.
After all, there isn't really a rule that says this boy can't come to a convenience store at this hour, right? Not when those who come in here had either: gotten their hearts broken, needed some sobering up before they go home, perhaps needing a solace for their raging minds, perhaps just needed to eat- or in his case, working.
And for what he knew about Lee Seokmin was: one, he's the type to wing examinations and hope for the best (he was really amazed at this boy's confidence at that one class they shared), and two, he sucked at video games (he vowed that he will never team up with him again).
So. What's his reason why he visited this convenience store of all places?
At the sound of a female voice, he had found his answer. Heaving out a sigh, he then walked out of the break room only to be greeted by the sight of his co-worker conversing with Lee Seokmin at the counter, her eyes straying to meet his before he averted and went straight towards the furthest aisle from the counter.
So he had been right, it was Lee Seokmin but... how did his co-worker knew him again?
Right. 'They belong in the same circle of friends,' he recalled, hearing the teasing tone Seokmin was using. Trying hard not to listen in as he began listing the inventory for tonight, he found that with this boy, it's quite impossible to do so. “Alam ba nito ang meaning ng indoor voice?” he muttered underneath his breath. And yet, despite the annoyance, he could feel himself smiling as he heard the duo in the front bantering with the familiarity of close friends.
‘Cute,’ he mused as he overheard her threatening her friend as silence engulfed the entire store. ‘Gaano ba 'to katapang at napapasunod niya si Seokmin sa kanya?’ Furrowing his eyebrows, he shook his head in disbelief. It's not his place to know, right?
He is, after all, just a co-worker to her, and she to him. Aside from this graveyard shift, wala naman talaga silang connection sa isa’t isa and while she seems interesting to befriend, he’d rather not.
Girls like her are nothing but trouble, and if what Seokmin said is true-bakit nga ba magtatrabaho ang isang tulad niya? Di ba well off ang mga Yoons? Well, di niya naman talaga kilala sila pero he heard from his roommates that they were well off… somehow.
Sighing, he found himself shaking his head before retrieving the cloth to remove dust from the items, a smile unconsciously flashing across his lips when he heard the boy bid his adieu to his friend.
Despite her tough exterior, he could tell she’s not that bad- not when Lee Seokmin treats her fondly that is. And yet, there’s just something that had him hesitating to approach her, perhaps because she seemed intimidating? What was it that Mingyu had told him again? The Yoons may look like they can destroy you with their stare but they’re really one of the kindest people out there.
Pero kahit na. Di naman niya kilala sila personally, di ba? You can never really tell with people nowadays na rin naman. ‘Yan dapat ang mentality,’ he nodded once he’s satisfied with his task, moving on towards the next one— stocking. ‘It’s better to have few people in your life, the ones you truly trust rather than let them in only to be disappointed in the end.’
Kaya ayan, rather than getting to know each other, both of them found themselves working in complete silence, one genuinely basking in it while the other simmered in anxiousness.
Looking at her reflection, he couldn’t help but reach out. ‘Mukhang bored na nga siya,’ he couldn’t help but notice. ‘Wala naman mawawala right?’ Before his subconscious could even internalize his musings, his mouth opened, testing the waters.
“Gusto mo ba ako naman dyan sa cashier?”
He could tell she was startled. For someone who looked intimidating, her emotions are easily readable from her face that he couldn’t help but think— is she the type to wear her heart out on her sleeve? If so, then how come she doesn’t have friends outside of her circle?
“Kung gusto mo lang naman,” he backtracked as he watched her expressions change. “Cause kanina ka pa dyan nakatayo.”
Chuckling at her answer, he couldn’t help but tease her as she struggled to form the correct response, face flushed as she tried to compose herself. ‘Cute,’ he shook his head as they changed stations- him, manning the counter while she made her way towards the beverage section, his eyes following her every move.
From the way she moved, he could easily tell she’s not the type to work in jobs like these. She’s clumsy and lacking. Yet, she still persisted and worked hard. And while he hates the extra work he had to do, still he appreciated her efforts when it comes to her work.
Thus, cute.
Should he make an effort, then? Have a conversation with her at least? Should he reach out to-
The sound of running cut his train of thoughts, turning towards the door only to see masked men making their way to the convenience store.
Ha.
Mechanically, he found himself raising his arms just as the men entered the store with declaration of robbery.
‘Gusto ko lang naman ng mapayapang buhay,’ he groaned internally, regretting his decision to come in for his shift instead of staying in and calling in sick. ‘Gusto ko lang din naman ng mapayapang shift, bakit parang ang hirap naman i-achieve?’
Heart thumping wildly in his chest, he was about to reach for the cash drawer when he saw something flew from his companion’s direction.
Eyes widening, he turned towards her in astonishment as he saw the initial shock on her face vanish as she continued throwing beverages at the men. ‘Anak ng tipaklong naman, Rianne, wag kang padalos-’
Just before he could even move a muscle, he watched her hurling herself at one of the guys, hitting him with a soda. ‘Oh my god.’ “Yoon Rianne-” he found himself calling out, earning her glare, sending shivers down his spine.
“Get help!” She shouted, making him jump as he reached for his phone. Sino naman tatawagan nya? Pulis, right?
Scrolling down, he could see his hands trembling as he struggled to find the right contact. ‘Ah to hell with this, kahit sino na nga lang. Right now, this crazy girl needs me.’ he thought as he took one glance at the scene before him. He dialed the first person he saw as he fidgeted, sighing in relief once he heard the other side picked up.
Not wasting a single minute, he relayed what happened, going as fast as he can (baka in another life, isa siyang magaling na rapper), not caring if the person on the other side can understand him coherently.
He made sure to emphasize on the convenience store’s name and the current situation before hanging up, attempting to join the madness so as to help her only to slip on the spilled soda on the floor. ‘Aba'y putangina nga naman, Jeon.’
Everything happened so fast that the next thing he knew, there’s a stinging pain on the bridge of his nose, a ringing in his ears aggravated by the familiar shriek of their boss, and a stray yogurt rolling towards just above his eyes.
Ah. What the fuck indeed.
Tumblr media
He couldn’t decide which is worse: the fact that they all ended up in the ER at this hour, the fact that he might lose his job, or the blossoming black blue bruise on his co-worker’s face.
He knew he should pay attention to their manager who’s now spouting about damages and whatnot but he couldn’t help but feel guilty as he stared ahead, hands fidgeting with the same yogurt that had rolled next to his face.
‘Kung di lang ako nagfreeze, eh di sana di siya yung nakipagaway? Kung di ako nadulas eh di sana wala siya nyan no?’ Was there something about this time of the night (morning) that made all inner demons to come out and play?
Usually, he can keep these thoughts at bay naman. Kaya lang, looking at her right now made him wish he could’ve done something useful. Was it his pride talking? He doubts it. Was it pity? He’s not really the type to feel that.
So why?
Steeling himself back to the conversation, he could tell she felt guilty for making him lose his job but with what she had done? ‘Parang di rin naman makatarungan that I get to keep my job when I did nothing,’ he bitterly thought as he spoke up, cutting his companion off in the middle of her sentence.
He knew they were surprised. Sino ba namang hindi when they all knew the manager had checked the CCTV footage before he went to check up on them. He knew that technically, he’s not part of the ones who caused damages pero it really didn’t sit well with him to keep the job while she lost hers, di ba?
He could tell these two have so many questions dancing on the tip of their tongues. He knew there are so many thoughts they wanted to voice out loud and he knew that any minute now, may hindi makakatiis at magtatanong pa rin sila. And so he did what he always do whenever he doesn't want anyone prying into his business: putting up his best poker face.
True enough, his manager simply shrugged it off while his companion simply looked at him with interest behind her eyes. Knowing her, she'd still ask after their manager leave them be. ‘Mukhang hindi siya natatakot sakin ah. That's a first.’ he noticed as their manager explained the compensation for his store and the repercussions for their actions to which he simply sighed at. May magagawa pa ba siya eh tapos na?
Looking at his companion and the bruise decorating her eyes, he still couldn't shake off the guilty feeling lingering. Siguro kasi babae siya at grabe na lang ang guilt na nararamdaman niya? Kasi hindi man lang niya napagtanggol siya when he had the means to?
And siguro kaya na rin siya napabitaw ng ganoong promise kasi despite not being close with each other, there's just this feeling of protectiveness towards her. Na para bang kailangan siyang alagaan at dapat di siya nasasaktan? Pero bakit nga ba, Jeon Wonwoo? His subconscious wanted to pry. Ah basta, he shook his head as he watched her fought the smile on her lips.
As he heard her friends' voice from afar, he knew his time with her had come to an end. Is it weird for him to feel something akin to disappointment when he heard Lee Seokmin's voice again? Well.
Standing up, he paused for a moment as he decided to take a leap of courage as he placed the yogurt on her hands, bidding her goodbye.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And as he walked away from her comes with a silent vow to himself.
Tumblr media
He'll do better. Just for her.

Hi, @chaosheadspace here. (Anon cause sideblog and stuff).
I have a question regarding your playlist for the playlist you made for your Dreamling band AU. (Which is very good, btw. I'm looking for new music atm and was elated being greeted with someone saying "I want to skin you alive". Glorious.)
Did you choose the songs you think they might have played or did you choose songs that embodied the characters and the setting for you? Please feel free to ramble at length.
Hello! Oh goodness... I'm so happy to receive this ask. I've never thought much about music while writing fics (I don't even listen to music while I'm writing, I find it very distracting) but given this is a BAND au, it was almost inevitable (90% of the songs on the playlist were added before I even published the fic). Allow me to ramble, since you've given me permission haha.
All of these songs already exist somewhere on my Spotify, I listen to a lot of indie and alt rock and remember coming up with the idea for Bolt in the Blue and daydreaming A LOT about Endless as a band and what they might sound like. So, while I was commuting to work, cleaning my apartment, doing laundry, I had my Spotify on a constant shuffle and every time a song popped up that made me think about Endless, I tossed it into a playlist. A lot of edits were made before I decided to publish the final draft lol.
So while this did start out as what I imagined Endless would sound like, I also started to think about what each member might contribute to said playlist. I thought of it like... when you're at a show and music is playing through the speakers while you wait in the crowd and the stage is being set up. I could picture the whole band making a playlist and contributing equally.
I tell you, and myself, that it's not that deep. It's music that gives me vibes for the band only, and doesn't reflect the fic at all. Well, except one song. Mile Deep Hollow by IAMX is such a Dream song to Hob that it makes me vibrate while listening to it now:
So thank you You need to know That you dragged me out Of a mile deep hollow And I love you You brought me home 'Cause you dragged me out Of a mile deep hollow
I mean... no explanation needed. Hob is Dream's light and is the one who inspires him and drags him up from a deep darkness (kind of spoiler but eh, I like to think I'm pretty predictable and we could all see that happening from a mile away).
But the other tracks? Eh... I mean some definitely give off vibes but I wouldn't connect any of them to the fic itself. Even the fic title, Bolt in the Blue, while obviously taken from the LPX song, is not indicative of the story at all (that's a separate post though, it's all a metaphor lmao). Which is why, secret's out, I'm currently building a new playlist that will go along with the fic chapter by chapter lol. But that won't be ready until Bolt in the Blue is finished. I kind of realized, very recently, that I wanted a proper playlist to go along with the themes and characters in the fic.
So, while Endless' Personal Playlist is exactly that- just songs that one: I imagine the band could actually write and perform but also two: all made together and music they'd all rock out to in their tour bus... this new playlist I'm making will accurately describe and emulate the plot. I'm having a fucking blast building it and can't wait to share it with everyone :)
And just for fun, here's who I think added what track to the Endless playlist (as I've stated in the past, music is subjective and who you connect each song to is up to interpretation. And here's mine, and yes, there are some repeats):
Dream:
Poison by Alice Cooper Mile Deep Hollow & The Great Shipwreck of Life by IAMX Nothing Personal by Night Riots Don't You Forget About Me by Billy Idol
Death:
Bolt in the Blue & Slide by LPX Stone Cold Crazy by Queen Shout by Placebo Holy Mother by Starbenders
Despair:
Human & High by Anavae Blue Monday by Orgy Everything Black by Unlike Pluto Stone Cold Crazy by Queen
Desire: High by Avavae Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row Shout by Placebo Modern Day Cain by IDKHBTFM Hang on to Yourself & Massacre, The New American Dream by Palaye Royale
Delirium:
Maniac by Carpenter Brut Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row Call Me a Saint by YOKANA Don't You Forget About Me & Mony Mony by Billy Idol
Alright, I'm finished lol THANK YOU for letting me ramble!! I hope everyone reading enjoys the rock n roll or at the very least discovers something new from the playlist :D

Blissful Relief
Modern Day life is stressful (no one can tell me otherwise), and as someone who will practically deflate upon suddenly having nothing to do and nothing important going on in the future (because being isekai'd means all regular world plans for life are cancelled), I will not hesitate to sleep like the dead because I'm not on a tight schedule now.
(Two posts in a Day?? What have I become?!)
A.K.A, I make an excuse to write a Lazy Nocturnal God!Darling who will abuse the cult pampering system... because that is what I would do without hesitation when I’m free from Modern Day duties that eat away at my health and sanity bit by bit with every hour I spend working like a mindless zombie from dawn to dusk, juggling home life that is filled with bothersome troubles that never change.
I’m also a night owl, caused by both insomnia and because it is the quietest hour that I cannot help but want to relish in since my life is filled with so much loud noise it gives me daily migraines... but of course, habits are formed from repetition and I will always wake up at 4-6am like a dumbass thus suffer the consequences the next morning.
Uhh... and I guess there might be OOC stuff?? Characterization who? Also Self-Indulgent again?? Super Self-Indulgent??? Letmeenjoysleepingandbeinganocturnalcreatureplease--
Morning tends to consist of Zhongli coming into your room, leaving the tray of breakfast he prepared on the coffee table near the sofa in your room before he walks over to kneel beside the bed where you're happily dozing off on, a hand moving to gently rest on the small of your back to rub small circles with his thumb. He’s softly smiling the whole time, looking at you with such adoration and fondness with how relaxed you were. As much as he wants to let you sleep in, he knows what would happen if a mortal body doesn’t move that much on a daily basis.
He'll try get you to wake up without being too loud, and if you ask for affection (kisses in particular, because I’m an affection and touch starved bastard), he will give it to you without hesitation and pepper your face in adoring kisses before carrying you off to the sofa so you could eat. He will feed you himself if you’re still too sluggish.
Will also put you in his lap if you’re nodding off, mostly to prevent you from hurting yourself (and because he enjoys the close proximity, if you allow it).
On rare occasions, Childe will be the one to wake you up in the morning instead whenever Zhongli is busy, letting you snuggle in bed a while longer if you want a few extra minutes before smothering you in his affections as he whisks you off from bed to get ready for the day and drop you off in the kitchen where breakfast is waiting on the table.
He will feed you himself if you're still drowsy, looking at you while cooing as though you are the most precious little thing this world has ever given life to (and to be fair, you are the most precious person to him with his family).
Will give you more cheek kisses if you’re still half-asleep, or in-between spoonfuls as a way to let you know you’re doing great... and because why not. It’s a rare moment to have, since Zhongli does hog a lot of your time.
Noon/Afternoon usually has Venti to keep watch over you if you ever choose to nap somewhere random around the teapot outdoors, or somewhere out in the wilds of Teyvat where the weather is just right and the surroundings are generally quiet. If you were outside of the teapot, you’d also have either Kaeya, Xiao or Kazuha to accompany the two of you depending on where you are for extra protection (per Zhongli’s safety precaution).
Venti will hum a song, and maybe strum a calming tune while you nap, happily basking in the gentle breeze and warm sunlight as the day goes by in a very peaceful and quiet manner. If lunch time comes around, he’ll try to wake you up as gently as possible, but finds it difficult to disturb you when you look so comfortable and peaceful right now. (And usually, this has you missing out on lunch if Zhongli is too busy to check up on you. Don't worry though, he'll make sure the packed lunch is empty before the old man drops by and that you did eat something.)
Kaeya will take the chance to cuddle with you, usually keeping you between his legs while you're using his chest as a pillow as your head is tucked in the crook of his neck. He's going to keep a loose hold on you, arms wrapped around your waist while occasionally shifting in case you're uncomfortable. He's smiling the whole time because you're so cute when you sleep like this. (Will occasionally give you kisses on the crown of your head if you don't mind it. Man wants to spoil you with so much love if you allow him to.)
Xiao is 100% attentive to all things in the surrounding, wanting to keep you safe from all potential dangers and will not relax while you're in such a vulnerable state. He will, however, melt when you sleepily call for his name while lazily reaching for him in such a lazy, but cute manner. Just like that, he's right by your side, asking for whatever you need. He's still on guard, but whatever you need, he will be there to provide... kisses and snuggles included, even if he’s struggling to be open about it.
Kazuha would be smiling serenely, occasionally brushing the hair off your face if it gets in the way of giving you proper sleep. He would take care of problems that may arise before it reaches you, and if you ever have trouble trying to be comfortable, he’ll let you lay your head on his lap while he gently pets your head in such a soothing manner that the nap turns into full on sleep... his legs might go numb, but he just couldn’t wake you up when you looked so peaceful sleeping right there.
Sayu will always accompany you when you’re in Inazuma, mostly because she could find an excuse to sleep with you around when you are getting ready to nap. She’ll be quick to defend you though, because if you get hurt, she’ll lose that excuse and she’ll struggle to find peace to sleep for a while without having people tailing after her.
Dusk/Evening you’re decently awake (or rather, barely awake), Zhongli’s not letting you sleep anymore until later into the night. Ei would keep you company, the time when it’s not so busy for her as things settle down and allow her to spend time with you. She’s honestly just internally squealing when you end up holding onto her hand or sleeve if you’re too groggy to walk by yourself and properly guide your own feet.
Sometimes the Kamisato Clan would be the ones to accompany you, per Ei/Raiden Shogun’s orders. Ayaka used to be on-guard (because how did someone who was barely standing on their own two feet turn the Raiden Shogun into some excitable puppy??) when she first met you, but she got over it after realizing you’re not a bad person after spending enough time with you to see it.
Thoma sometimes coddles you, knowing well enough that you were just tired from the stress of the daily life you used to have when you told him once during a day when he was left to take care of you... He does his best to make sure you were enjoying yourself in the city, keeping a watchful eye in case you’d trip on your own feet.
On rare occasions when even the Kamisato Clan is busy, Kujou Sara would be the one to care for you... as foreign as it was in the beginning, because you’re so idle and pretty sluggish most of the time, but she grew to find these times relaxing. Of course, she is ever watchful for all problems, and when you were awake enough, would be helpful with your foreknowledge if you do remember everything well enough.
When Night falls upon Teyvat, you are fully awake, if only for a while until you grow exhausted again. In these moments, they would all try to spend time with you and gain more of your attention... but aside from that, you would often take strolls on Watatsumi Island, if only because you do sincerely enjoy the scenery the island had during the night... but other times, you would either take a stroll at Starsnatch Cliff or Qingce Village.
Kokomi would be with you, walking alongside you while she admires the sight of your relaxed, fully awake expressions that mostly appears at night. She would keep each of these moments to her heart, knowing that if her God loved Watatsumi as it is, then all her efforts into protecting it was worth it... plus, there was something nice just knowing a God like you enjoying the natural sight of her home while taking a nightly stroll.
Gorou trails behind you like a puppy, basking in the attention you give him and will always be ready to defend you. When you talk, he is absolutely silent, wanting to hear your voice in its more clearer form. He will not be happy if someone interrupts you, definitely will snarl at them if you don’t keep him in check... but aside from that, he will stick close to your side while you’re at Watatsumi Island as your guard with Kokomi.
Diluc will be by your side during the night when you’re in Mondstadt, always looking away when your gaze is directed towards him but otherwise would observe you closely... since he often sees you when you weren’t fully awake. He enjoys seeing this side of you more, and while he does find your sleepy self to be adorable, he likes knowing that you’re aware of everything... It gives him a peace of mind when you do acknowledge his efforts.
Midnight rings clear into the night, the clarity of your mind would return into its sleepy state. You would return back to the Teapot and get ready for bed, tucked in comfortably by one of your acolytes before you slumber until morning rises once more and repeat your day... Sometimes, if you’ve relaxed enough, you might be fully awake for the whole day.
Of course, that is a rare moment that might not always happen, but if you were truly awake for a whole day, none of your acolytes are going to miss this chance and might fight to have your full attention if you don’t give them the satisfactory amount, unless you put your foot down and make sure they behave.
Aside from that, your cult will always be there for you, ready to take care of you and give you all the affection you want.

Deck of Hearts
Tumblr media
Fandom: Twisted Wonderland
Character(s): Riddle Rosehearts x GN!Reader
Quick summary: After Riddle overblotted, you visited him to comfort him with an offer.
Note: LMAO omg this was rotting in my drafts on quotev for months already. I am finally here with it finished. And yes! First time posting about twst but I hope to write for it some more in the future. Also requests are open! Feel free if you have any ideas.
Tumblr media
STRANGE, how it played out so easily into his hands. He was always there as the perfect head to the dorm of Heartslabyul, with a reputation for being quite controlling and overbearing. His rules were what made him, but it was what had led to the disaster that was the unbirthday tea party as well.
You were there, despite not being part of the dorm, in the midst of tea and fine desserts. You were also there when Ace and Deuce challenged the red-haired male to the position of head. You were there the entire time, but you had just been an unnoticeable speck in his vision, not at all important. All he knew of [Y/N] [L/N] was that you were the useless student without an ounce of magic, relying on a monster cat to save the day. That was all there was to his impression, because he had so many other things in mind. Like the growing feeling that seared and burned him when his rules became his downfall.
He had overblot, and his entire persona changed. His monotone irises glazed into crimson, colored in darkness and madness. Dressed in red and black, with web-like features that brought chills down people's spines, he ensued fear upon everyone. But what caught your attention the most was the ink-like liquid that rolled down his limbs, which seemed so much like tears. Thick, oozing tears that could drown one whole.
To most of the other students, he was a monster. But to you, he was alone.
After losing the battle, he truly did weep, tears that weren't coated in black. He apologized to Ace, Deuce, everyone, and eventually promised to make it up to them. With that done and resolved, he was brought to the nurses, since overblotting took a toll on him.
"Grim," you said, turning over to the gray monster with blue flames furling from his ears. "We're going to the nurses too."
"We are what now?!" he exclaimed. His loudmouth sent eyes turning your way. You mentally sighed; you didn't exactly plan to bring this up to Deuce and Ace's attention. "For what? I'm starving after all this drama."
"I'll give you some canned tuna afterwards."
"... deal."
"You're visiting Riddle?" Deuce's brows were raised, slightly surprised.
You merely shrugged. "I just need to speak to him for a bit."
They exchanged glances and nodded. On that last note, you parted from the duo and began your trek through Night Raven College to find where the nurse's office laid. Bumbling past corridors like some lost fool, you eventually found it by the time the sun started to set.
The world was painted in rosy hues, the golden orb slowly reaching the horizons. Its light shone through the window of the room and created immense shadows to crawl upon the corners. The room was empty of human presence, saved for the bed in the back of the room. Laying there and sleeping peacefully was Riddle. Eyes shut and stress lines faded as he slumbered, so unlike the tyrannical leader he usually bore. You hesitantly set yourself down on the bed next to his and watched him.
"Wake him up already!" Grim complained, putting his paws on his hips. You shushed him and glared. Unfortunately, his voice was as loud as always. The boy on the bed fluttered his lids opened, silver eyes greeting the dimming glow. He pulled himself up into a position with a wince and turned to look over at the visitors, surprised to see you and Grim of all people.
"What are you doing here?" he asked you, voice soft and without the usual sharp edge it would usually contain. He was confused though -- he hadn't ever interacted with you one on one before.
You scratched your head and grinned sheepishly. "Sorry for waking you up. I wanted to check on you."
He furrowed his forehead even more. "Why?"
"You went through a lot today. It felt like you might want some company as you process what happened."
Gray eyes averted downward and his cheeks grew red. Grim then butted in again. "You're being awfully nice to Riddle. I literally lost my powers because of him earlier!"
Before you could scold him again, Riddle intercepted with a sigh. "He's right. Do not waste your time with me and go back to your friends. You all suffered because of me today."
"No."
"No?" Shocked and confused, he didn't know what to say about your stubbornness.
"Ace and Deuce will be fine. I'm more worried about you."
It was so unbelievable to him, to see someone actually care for him. After isolating himself mentally from everyone else, there was nothing more he wanted to do than reach out. Reach out to someone who would listen -- not because they had to or out of obligation. But because they want to.
"[Y/N], correct?"
You blinked. "I didn't think you'd remember my name."
"I'm the housewarden for a reason," he said, smiling slightly. It was a nice smile, you thought. He would definitely become less intimidating the more he smiled. He continued with his train of thought. "... thank you. If I'm being honest, I feel lost. I don't have a sense of direction to who I am. I guess I have been running away from my true self this entire time, obsessing over rules to do so."
"That's okay," you gently responded. "Today is the catalyst to a new start. With time, I'm sure you can find yourself -- find a version of yourself you'd be proud of."
"Okay. This is getting too cheesy." Grim made a face and backed away. "Tell me when you guys are done. I'll go look for some food."
The monster disappeared out of the doorway and you groaned. "Sorry about him."
The redhead shook his head. "It's fine. Those words you said... do you really think so?"
You beamed. "I know so."
He nodded slowly, in his thoughts for a moment. "Feel free... to come to any future unbirthday parties." Flustered by his own invitation, he clenched the sheets of the bed.
"Of course! We're friends now."
Surprised by your declaration, he also didn't mind it. He wanted to be your friend, as well as become true friends to all of those who were by his side previously. It would take some time, but if he took it by stride each day, it would become a reality.
Your hand suddenly reached over and placed over his gloved ones, the heat of them strong enough to feel through the fabric. Startled by the notion, he nearly slipped out an accusation, the memorized rules going off in his head like ringing bells.
But the funny thing was, he liked it. He liked your touch when he had always kept a distance from everyone. For some reason, his heart started pounding in his chest, the beat of it loud in his ears. What was happening to him? Was he finally going crazy from all that occurred?
No. It was simply because of you.

Tumblr media
ATTENTION: FULL LENGTH FIC IS NOW LIVE! CLICK LINK TO READ IT BELOW :)
(If that dont work lol im sorry but its the latest post on my blog lmao)
looking for attention (l.jn)
After a couple months of hiatus, I finally found the inspiration to finish all these drafts of fics I have in my WIP folder... sorry for the wait, I want quality out here.
Here’s a delulu scene that I have had rotting in my brain the past couple of months starring no other than the man of the hour: Lee Jeno. I started fully flesh out writing this fic at around 11:45pm and its currently 6:25am and I’m still not done with it LOL shooting for 10k words with this to make it worth while to read! Enjoy this teaser/preview, after my beta readers do a read through and make edits, I’ll post the full length fic hopefully tomorrow! <3
Pairing: Jeno ft the ‘00 line dreamies x fem! reader insert
Tags: gamer idol au, secret girlfriend reader, slice of life, needy reader, jeno is a nerdy hard head,  substantial amount of plot leading up to the nasty, possessive jeno, lowkey the ‘00 line wants you so bad, jeno knows everyone wants you so bad, y’all can look but not touch vibes, camera voyeurism
Warnings: teasing, voyeurism, exhibitionism, oral fem reader and male receiving, masturbation, unprotected sex (wrap it up ya’ll!), mentions of potential five way, multiple partners (not directly), possessive domination, degradation, reader is a simpy subby sub sub, dumbification/bimbo kink, mentions of referring to reader as ‘pet’/’kitten’, (probably more knowing me... I’ve been brewing on this one for a WHILE)
Word Count: final product: ~10k, teaser: 640
** I haven’t proof read this yet, and this may not make the final cut, please be aware of that !
Summary: Between Jeno being an idol and you being a current nursing school student, it’s hard to find time to be there for each other and actually feel like you two are dating. So when Jeno makes time to spend a whole day with you but actually spends the whole time playing with the boys online instead of helping you study for your exam, you decide it’s time to play some games of your own.
“Are you kidding me? Hyuck open your fucking eyes!” Jeno screamed at his screen while throwing his hands in the air, “I’m tired of us not moving on because of you!”
It’s been three hours since you have arrived at Jeno’s apartment. You’ve been insisting on spending more quality time with him and he finally promised to put more effort in by agreeing to spend the day with you.
Maybe you should have seen it coming when Jeno insisted on you bringing your study materials for your upcoming exam, mentioning that he will help you study. When he opened the door you were expected to be bombarded with warm hugs and maybe even some cuddles and suggestions to bake cookies. Would it be so presumptuous to even be looking forward to being savagely ravished in some long awaited sexy time? The thought of having uninterrupted alone time with Jeno bounced around your mind as you anticipatingly waited for him to answer the door.
However much to your chagrin, you were begrudgingly and briefly greeted with a breathy irritated Jeno that barely made eye contact before running back to the room shouting,
“I swear I’m here! I’m here! Just had to open the door for y/n! I’m back! I’m back!” leaving you confused and rooted to the welcome mat of his front door.
Sighing, you slowly removed your shoes and made your way to his kitchen to grab some water and place your stuff on his table. Making your way to Jeno’s room, the volume of his excited shouting elevated and as you rounded the corner you saw him slouched over staring at the screen with intent eyes and hands frantically moving.
“Hey babe,” you knock while leaning against his desk, his eyes not meeting yours once again.
“Just go towards the back Jaem that way they won’t see you,” he called out adjusting his mic.
“Babe,” you raised your voice.
“No Hyuck, stay there, we need you later,” he replied while checking his second monitor briefly then shooting you a quick smile before clicking repeatedly, “hey babe sorry I’ll be done with this game soon, one sec.”
“Will you really be done soon? It’s fine if it won't just let me know so I’m not just waiting around.”
“Yeah, yeah swear,” he nodded while playing.
You made your way back to the table in the living room and placed all your textbooks down and opened up your laptop to finish a lecture that you needed to finish taking notes on.
Fifteen minutes passed and your feet were tucked under your body in the seat and highlighters were scattered around. As you cracked your knuckles closing the lecture video tab, Jeno walked out of his room shirtless, sporting a pair of gray sweatpants and his gaming headset on, making his way to the fridge. Jeno was a dream. Only he could look so insanely attractive while having the personality of the biggest nerd you’ve ever met.
“Let’s fucking go!” he hollered while rummaging through the shelves to find a carton of banana milk and drinking it, “can’t believe we made it out of there, Hyuck fucking sucks at stealth missions, so it must have been a miracle for them to not see him,” he laughs while heading towards you. Jeno flicked his hair to the side and tucked a hand into his pocket making his arms slightly flex, effortlessly gorgeous as always.
Straightening your back you leaned forward awaiting him to finally sit with you, lips sitting prettily puckered awaiting your overdue kiss. Excitement erupts and you can barely sit still as you think how you will escalate this further today. A long list of positions and roleplay fill your head excitingly. However Jeno wasn’t nearly on the same page as he walked straight past and into the pantry to take out a bag of chips and jog back into the room. Disappointment -and a bit of sexual frustration- sets in as you hear a faint, “hell yeah I’m down for another round lemme log back in really quick!”
You have got to be kidding me.

STANDING THEM UP BECAUSE YOU'RE SICK
note: these past few days(or maybe it was more? my perception of time is fucked rn so i have no idea lmao) sucked. no ideas whatsoever and even when i did have some, it was either too short, too long or unfinished (like many of my drafts atm😩) low-key planning to add charas to this post? if my brain decides to cooperate that is😑
chara(s): emma
wn: is it fluff? no idea, but definitely ooc and an unedited mess
SANO EMMA
Tumblr media
... was so excited when you asked her out that she didn't catch a wink of sleep that night. the next day, she was really tired, but she somehow managed to get ready and get to the place you two agreed to meet at just on time. a small café she mentioned was one of her favourite.
"they're not here yet, huh..."
a quick look around allowed her to see that she was the first one to arrive so she took a seat at the table you reserved and waited. five, ten, fifteen... the minutes kept passing, but no signs of you ever coming. the other clients and waitresses were starting to give her odd looks and she looked down to her hands, clenching them.
they're just late... she thought, trying to reassure herself as she ignored the chatter around her. right! just late...
she pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked for any missed calls or texts from you, but there was nothing. what greeted her was the time she had waited for you to come, at least twenty minutes...
"......."
she wasn't sad per se, but disappointed in both you and herself. in you because, no texts, no calls... and since the day before you were completely fine, you probably stood her up. in herself for getting her hopes up, for getting so excited, for not realising that this would be the outcome. right now, she just wanted to go back home, take a shower and forget about today. but...
🎶🎶🎶
just as she was about to stand up and leave, her phone that she was still holding in her hand started ringing and she gasped. the name that showed up on the screen was yours, she had half-a-mind to not take the call, but finally, decided to hear what you had to say. when she picked up, the first word she heard was 'sorry...' followed by a 'are you still waiting...?' from you. your voice was groggy and she heard some shuffling noise, as if you were tossing around on your bed, causing her to frown.
"where are you, (l/n)-kun/chan?"
the call of your last name had you wince, but you didn't dwell on it since you definitely deserved it. instead, you focused on the matter at hand. her. well, no, you were the problem and though just apologizing didn't feel like it was enough, it was all you could really do right now, stuck in bed with a damn fever that just popped out of no-fucking-where.
"i-i... really wanted to see you today. i know it's cliché... but i literally have flowers f-for you in the living room."
the more she heard you talk, the more she realized that what she mistook for grogginess from just waking up was actually your croaky attempt to speak despite your sore throat.
"... and that's what happened... i'm sorry for not calling you sooner emma, i..." a cough left your lips followed by a curse and a small smile curved up on her lips. "i get it."
you didn't stand her up, you were just as excited as she was, even though a part of her was telling her not to believe you so easily, the other was just so happy to hear you wanted to see her just as much as she wanted to see you. she stood up from her chair, sticked her tongue to the people in the café, then turned around to leave, phone still next to her ear with this new piece of information that both reassured her greatly and worried her.
"how are you feeling right now?"
you glanced at the thermometer in your hand and groaned. "like shit... 38.5°C it says..." you threw the tiny object at a random corner of your room, even though it wasn't really its fault you were sick, and tossed around again, pressing your face against your pillow. " 'm thinkin' it was that guy from school... *cough* has to be...!"
"really? hmm, he was coughing a lot so maybe? ah! now that i think about it..." a flash of the guy you speak of coughing on your face popped up in her mind and she sweatdropped. "i think i know how you got sick..."
"yeah? well, tell that r-reason they owe us a date, a-actually, no, i mean..." you coughed again, this time flustered by what you said, but then shook your head with another groan. "haa, damn, whatever... y-you're the one i wanted to see..! kind of wishing you were my pillow right now... 'was even planning to sneak out earlier, but my parents stopped me..."
"your pillow?? sneak out? to see me?"
her heart swelled with happiness and she giggled as she listened to your sick mind's rambling about how much you wanted to see her. at some point during your chat, she finally reached your house and knocked on your door. your parents were the ones who opened it and, not wasting any time, ushered her towards your room as you kept going on ways to get out of the house, despite not really being able to get up.
"you won't need to, (f/n)-kun/chan." her voice overlapped with the one your phone and, when you pulled your head away from your pillow, you noticed her walking up to your bed smiling. "let's have a date here instead!"
on her way to your room, just like you said, there was a bouquet of flowers on the table, they were so pretty and exactly the ones she liked. but, what made her happy was the fact you were telling the truth and, just that fact, had her sit next to you on your bed, her hand running through your sweaty hair with an affectionate grin as she leaned down to peck your forehead.
"next time warn me, okay? i'll come again if you're sick."

The Baby Series ✨ 🍼
Baby Talk
Ft. Sugawara Koushi and Ushijima Wakatoshi
This series will show how you and your haikyuu husband journey through pregnancy! 💕
🔪: This has been in my drafts since June so I decided to publish it on a whim...hehehe. I get so self conscious about my writing but some of you guys are encouraging me to not be afraid so thank you! 💖
Contains: fluff, angst in Ushijima’s part cuz he’s a blunt mf lmao and yeah...
Pt.2 ft. Oikawa and Atsumu click here.
Sugawara Koushi
Tumblr media
You both haven’t really talked about children. The only conversations you’ve had was during family events when your parents or drunk aunts and uncles asked when a baby was coming. One time Suga’s aunt thought you were already pregnant and it was pretty embarrassing. You and Sugawara just had your two year anniversary and he got a raise at his job. Everything was going well so maybe bringing a baby or two into the picture wouldn’t be so bad.
You knew it wasn’t easy but you were ready to start this new chapter of your life with your husband. When he came home he was in a good mood, he graded his students tests and not a single one of them failed. You were finishing up his favorite food when he wrapped his arms around you from behind and he gave your cheek a kiss. “Ooo Spicy mapo tofu, what’s the occasion?” He asked, since it is really spicy you don’t make a habit of making it all the time. “I actually wanted to talk to you about something so I thought making your favorite food would be a good bargaining chip.” You said and he laughed. “I love your honesty and bluntness.” He told you and you giggled.
When you served the spicy tofu he immediately dug in and moaned in delight. “I swear I’m the luckiest man in the world.” He said and you rolled your eyes playfully. “Koushi I wanted to talk to you about something.” You said seriously and he looked up from his food and nodded. “I hope I’m not in trouble or anything...” he said and you shook your head. “Um...I don’t know how to say this...but....” you started and rubbed your hands. It was a habit that you did when you were nervous, Koushi saw this and he placed his hands over yours. “Take your time okay? You can tell me anything.” He said and you nodded. “I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now and we never really talked about this before. But I wanted to ask if feel ready to have a baby.”
You genuinely wanted to ask for his opinion because at the end of the day he’s the only one working since you’re a housewife. If it was too stressful for him then you probably wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer but you really hope Koushi’s answer would be—
“Are you serious?” He asked, eyes widened as they looked into yours. You nodded, “Yes but if you’re not ready then I wouldn’t mind waiting a bit longer..” you replied. He didn’t say anything and he just stared at you. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking. He suddenly stood up and pulled you with him down the hall. “Um Koushi where are you taking me?” You asked. “Well where else can we comfortably make a baby?” He smirked and your cheeks heated up. “So is that a yes?” You asked and he stopped walking. He placed your back against the wall and he held your waist gently. “Of course, I want children, more than anything.” He said softly and you smiled. He softly kissed your lips, They oozed out so much love and you were glad that Sugawara is your soulmate.
Ushijima Wakatoshi
Tumblr media
Ushijima could tell you had baby fever because you kept gushing at your friends baby for awhile now, you’d constantly gush over the photos you’re friend posted on her social media and finally one day your friend came over with her baby as a surprise. Ushijima was out training and you and your friend caught up while you played with the baby.
Ushijima came home to find his wife feeding her friends baby while her friend layed back on the opposite couch. You’ve been friends since highschool so he didn’t mind her sudden appearance, “Hello Wakatoshi.” Your friend greeted but you were too focused on the baby to even notice Ushijima’s presence. Ushijima acknowledged your friend and walked behind the couch to you. He leaned down and gave your head a kiss and you finally looked up and turned around. “Sorry Toshi I didn’t know you were back.” You apologized and kissed his cheek. You were glad he showered at the gym.
“It’s fine, you seemed a little busy.” He said and walked back around to sit next to you. “Do you want to hold him?” You asked, “No I’m fine.” He shook his head and you slightly frowned. Does he not like babies? Does he even want children? Maybe not now because he’s too busy training for the Oympics.
“Oh okay...” You said and you put the bottle down, you put the little towel on your shoulder and you began to pat his back to burp the baby. Ushijima saw how your mood changed a bit and your friend knocked out on the couch. She was extremely exhausted.
He wondered if he did anything wrong but nothing rang a bell. “Are you upset about something?” He asked, “No it’s nothing.” You gave him a small smile and you stood up to walk around while continuing to burp the baby. “It doesn’t seem like nothing, you were fine less than a minute ago.” He pointed out and you sighed. “I’m just wondering if you even like babies, or if you ever want children. Everytime we see our family you never want to hold babies or toddlers, you sometimes look scary so my nieces and nephews don’t want to talk to you nor get near you.” You admitted. He was still confused as to why you were upset about it.
“Why does it matter right now whether I want children or not?” He asked bluntly and you stopped walking. You stared at him with such bewilderment, he wasn’t getting it at all. “Maybe It’s because your wife wants children and she wants to take your feelings into consideration.” Your friend spoke up, she couldn’t sleep due to your chatter. Ushijima looked at her then at you but you had your back turned and you were looking at the window. He saw the head of the baby peering over your shoulder and he wondered if what your friend said is true. “Is that true Y/N? You want to make a family already?” He asked, you turned around slowly and nodded. “Yeah for awhile now but you’re too busy with Olympic training I understand if you want to wait.”
He smiled softly, “Thanks for taking my feelings into consideration. I wouldn’t mind although it will be stressful.” He said and you turned. “Seriously?” You asked and he nodded. You smiled and gave him a small kiss. “Do you wanna hold the baby now?” You asked. He hesitated a bit but held his arms out to carry the child.
The baby looked at him with wide eyes and smiled. “Yeah maybe being a dad isn’t so bad.” He whispered.

Lmao I suck at descriptions. So please don’t mind my nonsense I wrote there. Hope you have fun reading this. 😊💕 @bunniglow
It was a usual day in college. You were seated in the front row of the lecture hall. There wasn't much to say about you. You were just an ordinary girl. Well you heard other people say you were a nerd but that wasn't really you. They said those things because you always sat in the front row, hadn't a lot of friends and sat in the library when you weren't at your apartment or at your workplace.
You were a barista in a cafe near your college. Most of the people who came to get a drink were students. At first you found it good because they weren't much people who had a huge age gap. But after some time it got really annoying. Most of the people who ordered were rude. They had an attitude that made you ponder how they were treated at home to be this disrespectful. Customers that weren't students were nice, sometimes too nice. You hadn't anything against talking with a customer when you had time but you definitely were against their flirting attempts. The only thing they created was uncomfortableness. So you rushed to get them out of your view which was kind of hard sometimes. Overall you didn't like your job much but it was your only source of money and they paid well, so you didn't want to complain.
The things students were thinking about you were false prejudices. You sat in the front row because you didn't want to see other students in front of you. You wanted to have the least contact with them. The front row could secure you this. You weren't afraid of others but you just simply hadn't any motivation to talk to any person about things you considered as indifferent. This was also the reason why you had barely friends. The only friend you had was a girl you met on your first day in your first semester who introduced herself as Charlotte or Charly as she wants to be called like this. You actually didn't want to talk to her at first but she was so persistent that in the end you gave in. After your first talk with her you learned that she was also your roommate. You couldn't have been happier. You had guessed you would get the worst roommate.
She definitely wasn't the best roomate. She was the reason why you spent so little time in the apartment. She had a boyfriend and whenever he came over you were out of view after you learned it the hard way. The first time you thought it would be okay to sit in your room and learn for the upcoming exams but you were proven wrong. You didn't know they both would be this loud. So you had to take your earphones in. Even with the music in full volume, you couldn't veneer their voices. So you gave up and walked out of the door. Since then you avoided being in the apartment when he was present. But he was there most of the time so you just had the library as an escape.
As you sat in the front row and draw on the cover of your block, gasped could be heard. So you lifted your head to see what made people so shocked. A male student stood in the door frame and he looked like a rich kid who gets spoiled from his parents frequently. He had a ripped blue jeans and a grey polo shirt with a denim jacket over on. His shoes were from an expensive sport label. They were black with a dark blue hashtag on the sides. He had a watch on that was way more expensive than anything that belonged to you. His hair which was dark brown was styled back. He looked through the rows and halted when he saw you. He locked eyes with you and a small smile appeared on his handsome face before he started to walk to the back row.
Charly suddenly came from behind you and sat down next to you. You didn't question her why she was sitting behind you but you were definitely confused.
"Oh my gosh Y/N. He looked at you and he even smiled. You're soooo lucky." Your friend said with excitement and a huge smile on her face.
"What? Whom are you referring to?"
"Girl are you serious?" She deadpanned. "Jung Jaehyun just looked at you. Fucking Jung Jaehyun."
"Jung who? Who is this?"
Her smile dropped and she seemed to get a little annoyed.
"Jung Jaehyun. The hot guy that smiled at you like a minute ago." When she saw that you were still a little confused she added. "You know, the guy with the expensive clothes on."
"Ohh you mean the rich kid. Ahh yeah uhm what's with him? He can look at anybody he wants to. Maybe he saw something on my face or so."
She gave you a disapproving look but before she could speak again the professor came and the lecture began.
Not even five minutes into the lecture and you were getting bored. You just wanted to sleep. But this didn't seem like a good idea when you were in front of the prof. You didn't want him to think his lecture was uninteresting so you came to the conclusion to just continue your drawing.
When it finally ended you were the first out of the hall and went straight to the cafeteria. You were starving so much because you couldn't get to eat in the morning. You set an alarm on your phone and went to sleep but you forgot to charge your phone over the night. So the battery of your phone died and with that your alarm wasn't going to give any tone. You were woken up by Charly in the morning. She was already dressed and ate something. She thought you were already gone but heard you mumbling something so she came to wake you. You were truly thankful to her. If she wasn't there, you would have been in trouble.
You were the first to arrive in the cafeteria. The lady behind the counter already knew what you were going to buy. In the time you were walking to the counter, the old lady already had your order finished.
"Y/N nice to see you again. You weren't here for quiet a time." The old lady kinda made a pouting face and that brought both of you to laugh.
"I'm sorry. I was just kinda busy. But I promise I'll be here more often in the future. And thank you for finishing it up before I even arrived." You gave her a thumbs up and as you saw the people gathering in the cafeteria you quickly said your leave and made your way to the exit.
But before you left you saw Jaehyun shortly looking at you. You didn't gave it much of a thought but it stil didn't go unnoticed.
You sat on the rooftop and waited for Charly. For the first time she said she would bring her boyfriend with her. You didn't know what to say and you were kind of nervous.
You bit in your salami sandwich and enjoyed the view. You liked the rooftop a lot. You found yourself always interested in your surrounding. You wanted to take pictures of old houses or just a street full of people in the shopping area. The look down from the roof was facinating everytime you went there. The people going to their different lectures. You could already tell who was in his first semester and who wasn't. The people in their first semesters were kind of confused where they had to go. When you thought back to the time when you were in your first semester it was the same for you. Even after half a year you didn't knew what building you had to enter. A good thing was that Charly was there for you. And it was kind of strange that she always knew where they had to go. But you didn't complain.
Loud voices brought you back to reality. Even if Charly was coming with her boyfriend, they were too many voices...too many male voices. You turned around and saw your friend with 5 guys around her.
When she saw you looking at her she greeted you. The guys stopped talking and the attention was now on you. They were all really good looking and also had expensive things on. You recognized Jaehyun among them.
The first person that talked was a really tall guy. He had black hair and his arm was around Charly's waist. So he had to be her boyfriend or other ways it would have been odd. "Hey, I'm Johnny. I'm Charly's boyfriend. Nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you." He said smiling.
Charly prickled him in the side. She rolled her eyes at him and then turned back to you. "He says it like it was something bad we talked about. But dont worry, we just talked about good things." She winked at you and you couldn't contain a laugh.
"It's fine. I don't even know what you could say about me. I mean, I'm not that interesting." You said with a shrug but still with a smile plastered on your face. If Jaehyun wouldn't stand next to Johnny, you would've missed the frown on his face. It didn't last long and that made unsure. Maybe you just imagined it?
The next to speak was a guy with red hair. He wasn't as tall as Johnny but taller than you. You didn't know why but he gave you the feeling as if he was the leader of the clique. Could you say leader? But like the person that arranged most of the meetings outside the college. "I'm Taeyong. Nice to meet you." He was really polite as he gave you his hand to shake. "I mean I don't know if you already know my name but I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you too." You said with a slighty timid attitude.
You didn't know why you were shy all of a sudden. But this was your first time to speak to so many people. It made you nervous as hell. You just didn't know why this feeling came only now.
A guy with dark hair spoke next. He kind of reminded you of a bunny. A really cute bunny to that. "I'm Doyoung." He came and gave you a hug. It took you off guard and you seemed to look as surprised as you felt because Doyoung apologized as soon as he saw your face. "I'm always like this. Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." "What? No you didn't made me feel uncomfortable. I was just surprised. That's all. No need to apologize for your kindness." You briskly responded. This time you saw Jaehyun lifting an eyebrow at you. You quickly looked away from him and at ten only person you dodmt know the name of yet.
He didn't look like the other guys but still handsome. Your gut feeling was right and he introduced himself as Yuta. He came from Japan.
"Oh really you're from Japan? That's cool. I've always wanted to go there but I didn't had enough time or money to do that." You exclaimed happily.
"Hey if you ever go there just message me on Instagram and I'll give you a tour around." You nodded and smiled at this.
This caused an unhappy look on Jaehyun's face and you weren't sure anymore if you even wanted to be introduced to him. In this short time you saw him. He looked more pissed than happy. Didn't he smile at you hours ago? Why would he be like this then?
Even after a moment of silence and all eyes on Jaehyun, he hadn't said anything. Just looked at you. Which pissed you more off. As everyone could see the tension between you two, Taeyong decided to speak up. "So uhm this is Jaehyun. Well normally he isn't like this and actually the most hyper of us but today he seems off." Jaehyun shot a glare at Taeyong but still remained silent.
After uncomfortable silence you all decided to talk about useless stuff. You actually got really good along with Yuta and Doyoung. Between your conversations with them you felt your eyes always looking at Jaehyun. Even if he didn't say a word to you till now, he did seem to wake your interests. But you just shrugged it off as he didn't show any signs.
You learned a whole lot about them. They are called RSB which means 'Rich Since Birth'. Out of their pronunciation you knew they didn't like that name. A lot of people think they got to this university just because of money and that their grades are bought. They were also known as the prettiest group of friends on campus. Despite the number of people that hated them, they were a lot more that liked them. Liked them way too much. They got a lot of love confessions. Heck how old were the people who confessed? They weren't in high school anymore. They should know better. You never really understood people who confessed their love to someone who they barely knew.
You exchanged numbers with almost everyone there. Jaehyun was the only person you didn't feel to get quite along with and this wasn't how you wished it would be. He didn't even say bye to you and just disappeared from your view.
You said your goodbye to everyone else and went to your lecture. It was the first time you weren't one of the first people to arrive but one of the last. Thus there wasn't a seat available in the front row. You had to go to the middle. At first you felt uncomfortable but it got better with time. You looked around and saw Jaehyun in the front row. You probably scoffed too loud and also glared too obviously at Jaehyun as everyone was now looking at you two. He seemed to notice the unwanted attention on him and turned around to see you glaring at him. He still had this annoying look and this made you seemingly insecure as you took your back and exit the room right before the prof came.
For the rest of the day you just sat on your bed and read a book. You didn't really care about what you read and you also didn't concentrate while you read but you needed something to bring you on other thoughts. Tomorrow would be more miserable than today because you knew most of the people were going to talk about you and Jaehyun and what ifs could be between you two.
When Carly arrived she also asked you holes in your stomach. You said that you never saw him in the front row before and just on the day you couldn't sit in the front he sits there. Like he was provoking you. She responded, you thought too much into it and it probably wasn't on purpose. Moreover it was just a seat so what was the problem? And she was right. What was your problem to even begin with?
After almost a week the rumors about you didn't stop. You thought that people would have been bored after not being fed with more stuff but you were wrong. It was Jaehyun everyone was talking about. So this couldn't last just one week. It had to be longer and it annoyed you a lot. Not to your surprise Jaehyun ignored you. When he didn't ignore you he sent you glares over the room. You knew it was your fault but what could you do? The damage was wrought. The rumors were from Y/N just wanted attention from him to Y/N is pregnant with Jaehyun's child. Sometimes you laughed about their silliness but you were also shocked to what extent people thought of you. How you just were after his money or other stuff. Did people even thought before they talked?
You still held your contact with the other boys. They weren't about what you did but they found it hilarious. When you sat on the rooftop to tell them what happened they all laughed their asses off telling you, you did great. You didn't even wanted to understand what they meant with you doing great.
After like another month the rumors kind of shut down. They weren't completely eradicated but less than weeks ago.
You were on your way to the rooftop when Jaehyun wrote in the group chat you all decided to open a few weeks ago. You didn't even need to look to say what he wrote. The only thing he always wrote was that he didn't come to the rooftop.
You already heard a lot of people talking on the rooftop. You squinted your eyes as soon as you walked out of the door. The sun beamed in your face so you had to take a hand to cover your eyes. To your surprise Jaehyun was sitting there and chatting with the others.
You took out your phone and read the message he wrote in the group chat.
Today I'm coming to the roof - boy who always glares👀 (11:56am)
You felt your phone being taken away from Doyoung. Even with trying, you couldn't hold a grasp on your phone. "Ohhhh guys, do you know how Y/N saved Jaehyun in her contact list?" Everyone shoke their head and Doyoung jumped around like a hyper pony. "Doyoung, I warn you. Shut the fuck up and give me my phone back." You glared at him and the angry voice was audible. But Doyoung just shoke his head. "She saved him as boy who always glares. She even has two eyes emojis behind this."
Everyone laughed expect you and Jaehyun. You looked panicked at him and he seemed happy. He had a huge smile on his face.
You went to Doyoung and ripped your phone out of his hands. You glared at him one last time before you walked to the others and sat down.
Everyone seemed to have calmed down. So Jaehyun took the opportunity to speak first. "You all know Sicheng right? He's holding a party on Friday and he ask me if I could bring some of my friends."
"Uhhh Sicheng is holding a party? I'm definitely in." Said Yuta with a grin. He looked happier than you've seen him before. Did he had a thing for Sicheng?
You leaned in to Carly and hold a hand in front of your mouth before you whispered to her. "Who is Sicheng?"
"He's also in the clique. You just don't see him often."
"Ah Jaehyun I assume your also in for it." After Jaehyun nodded Doyoung added "So why do we all not just meet up at the party. A little fun can't damage, right?" Jaehyun looked at you and for the first time in weeks you didn't saw him glare at you or anything. He actually had a small smile on his lips which had you smiling unconscious. You weren't sure of what to say to the offer but Charly already agreed for you.
It was Friday evening and you were getting ready for the party. Charly put make up on for you.
When you were in high school you actually wanted to do stuff like this. But you gave up after months of trying. Whenever you made yourself pretty in your eyes and went to your parents they said you looked like a clown or something.
"Ok, I'm finished. You look amazing Y/N." Carly praised herself. You stood in front of a mirror. You put on a short black dress. You didn't have a lot of dresses in your wardrobe and this was the best and expensive looking, so you decided fot this one.
On the way to Sicheng's home ,where the party was on going, you kinda felt nervous again. You weren't much of a party type. Your bed was much more comfortable than a drunk people who collided with you. But Charly pleaded you the whole week to come with her. It wouldn't be fun without you. So you gave in.
When Sicheng's house was in sight you already saw a lot of drunk people in his dooryard. It wasn't even past 9pm and here you were struggling to even come to his front door because a dude had to fall in front of you and nearly spelled all of his drink on you. Thanks to Carly this didn't happen. She pulled you back a little and the red cup landed in front of your shoes. Due to smell the cup had to have vodka in it.
Finally inside it wasn't better. More drunk people could be seen. The only difference was that they also danced awfully to the music. They hadn't any rhythm to the beat but what do you expect from intoxicated students.
Suddenly a guy came to your side. He was tall and looked like someone who would spent his time with the " RSB " kids since his clothing looked just as expensive as from Jaehyun. But you couldn't deny that he still looked pretty handsome. The only thing didn't matching was that he was here. He looked too cute to even come to this party. So what was he doing here?
"Hey I'm Sicheng. I assume you're Y/N." Your eyes almost fell out from your staring. He was the person who throw the party. He looked like an introverted person and not someone with so many connections. Your prejudice was again wrong.
You felt Carly pinching your waist. Sicheng looked amused by you and you finally realized you just stared at him and not even said a single word. It would be too awkward to say anything now and to your relief Sicheng spoke again. "Well since Carly already told me about you, you don't have to introduce yourself, I guess. Do you two want to come with me to the basement? The others are already there. We play billiards. I'm not that good so I came up to look if anything is damaged." He smiled at the both of you and Carly dragged you with her to the basement.
Sicheng disappeared briefly in the kitchen and came back with three red cups. You rather didn't plan on drinking anything because you knew you hadn't the best alcohol tolerance. Nonetheless you accepted the cup amd followed both downstairs. The landing was small and it wasn't really illuminated.
The room was large. The walls were black which let the room seem smaller than he actually was. Paintings were on two walls. One was yellow with white and black mixed in it and the other showed a boy with his back looking. He sat on a stone and around him was water. It seemed like the stone was his only lifeboat. Further away in the background you could see a forest. It definitely didn't look appealing. The forest was dark green mixed with black.
Although it was the basement it had a big window. You could see the garden through the window. The garden was also large. The trees were organized after their length. There was a path between the trees that led to a shed. Other than this there was also a big pool were a lot of people were crowded around.
Back in the room was a billiard table and Yuta played against Taeyong. Taeyong was in lead. There was also a couch were Doyoung, Johnny, Carly and Sicheng sat. You didn't notice the two left your side. A table was in front of the couch and chaird were placed around the table. Even though most of the people were here, Jaehyun was missing. This made you a little disappointed. You were looking kinda forward to see him.
Your best option was to go to the others on the couch. Once you settled down Johnny suggested to play truth or dare. You weren't really in the mood for it but what exactly could go wrong. Yuta and Taeyong also gathered around the table and Doyoung placed an empty bottle in the middle of the table. The chair to your left wasn't occupied. You took the opportunity and ask where Jaehyun was. "We actually don't know. He was here a while ago and suddenly he was gone. He probably is upstairs kissing with some chick." This earned Johnny a lot of glares from the other boys and Carly kicked him. Johnny just looked questionable at the others. Sicheng whispered something into Johnny's ear and he looked apologetic at you. Now it was your turn to look confused. Taeyong opened his mouth to say something when the door opened and revealed Jaehyun. He sat down on the only chair that was left and drunk his alcohol mix. Nobody asked him where he was and instead Taeyong spun the bottle.
It stopped at Yuta and he chose dare. Doyoung dared him to call Mark and confess to him his love for Sicheng. Taeyong who sat on your right told you who Mark was. He was also part of the clique but a semester under them. They knew him since middle school. The phone ringing stopped Taeyong from speaking more. After the fifth ring Mark accepted the call. The whole thing was really funny because Mark had to be sleeping already as his answers made no sense. He wished the new couple congratulations although Yuta only talked about his love for Sicheng and not returned love.
Yuta spun the bottle and this time it stopped at Jaehyun. He chose truth. "Do you have someone who you like?" Doyoung briskly asked. Jaehyun stiffened for a moment before his eyes met yours and he seemed to get more nervous. He eventually looked back at Doyoung. "Yeah I do have someone." A lot of oohhhs could be heard and Johnny asked who it was but Jaehyun didn't spell any tea.
You felt Jaehyun's glimpse on you again but you decided to ignore it. You began to get nervous. Jaehyun spun the bottle and oh how predictably. It stopped at you. If you chose truth, you would have become a question like Jaehyun. You decided for dare which was the worse decision.
As the rounds before Doyoung talked. "I dare you to kiss the person to your left." You couldn't believe this. Why did it had to be Jaehyun? You didn't dare to look at him. Instead you looked around and nobody was really shocked about the statement expect you and Jaehyun. You slowly turned your head to your left and locked eyes with him. He seemed as nervous as you. You hesitated but you moved forward to him. You halted in front of his face. Your noses were touching, never breaking eye contact. Your heart beat a lot faster than you wanted and you were sure he could hear it from his position. As you appeared to not move forward anymore, he took the chance and placed his lips in yours. You closed your eyes. He moved slowly and you took up with his pace. He leaned back and you opened your eyes to see shocked faces of the others. You looked back at him and saw him trying to conceal a smile which brought a small smile to creep up on your face.
"Wow. I never thought you would really do this." Doyoung said as shaken as he looked. You took the first sip of your drink and it soured your throat.
You all didn't speak about this and just moved on to continue your game. After some time you excused yourself to get you a new drink. You weren't drunk but definitely a little tipsy.
You made your way out of the door and proceeded your way up the stairs. As you almost arrived upstairs a hand touched your shoulder. You turned around and saw Jaehyun behold you. His eyes were dark and it made him even more handsome. His eyes flickered between your eyes and your lips as he came closer and briefly kissed you on the lips, just to examine your expression. When you didn't move away or anything, he kissed you again. This time deeper than in the game. His lips were soft as they moved against your own. He pushed you against the wall and your hands moved upwards his torso and around his neck. The feeling of his hands on your side sending chills through your body. One of his hands moved to your back and then squeezed lightly your butt. A moan escaped your lips before you could stop it. Jaehyun grunted at this.
"Do you know how long I've waited for this? I couldn't hold it in anymore. Why do you have to wear this short dress? It looks so fucking good on you." He said pressing you more against the wall. He kissed your jaw down to your neck and sucked till purple bruises began to form. He moved to your ear and nibbled at it. This let another moan escape as you moved your head back which gave him more access to your neck. Your leg moved around his and you felt a bulge touch the space between your legs. You felt yourself getting more wet.
"Hey what do you think about getting in one of the rooms upstairs?" He said in between kisses. You stopped and looked at him. "Isn't this Sicheng's house? Can we really do it?" You asked a little nervous because the bulge was driving you crazy and you actually couldn't really wait anymore. "It's no problem. We actually kind of a share the house."
So you two went upstairs in a room that also had his walls painted in a dark color. You couldn't really make your surrounding out since you were to busy undressing and then exploring Jaehyun's body.
He led you to the bed and laid you down, so he could hover over you. He undressed you whilst you slid your fingers along his abs. When he was done he kissed you from your lips down to your stomach. Every now and then he left hickeys on your skin. You whimpered everytime he touched your inner thighs with his fingers. He stroke your inner thighs slowly upwards till he was on your core. His mouth came in contact with your ear as he whispered. "You're so wet for me babe. I love how you react to every touch I make." His voice was deep as he pinched your left breast. You whimpered again and goosebumps were making its way down your arms. You arched your back when he suddenly inserted a finger. He nibbled on your right breast and massaged the other with his hand that wasn't occupied with your lower body. After little time he inserted the next finger. You couldn't handle all of this anymore and you felt a bunch forming in your stomach. "Jaehyun...I-" you couldn't finish your sentence. Jaehyun quickened his pace with his fingers and his tongue. It didn't need much and you road of your orgasm. He maintained eye contact while he went down and licked all your juice up.
When you came down from your high, Jaehyun opened a drawer next to the bed and fetched a condom. "You okay babe? You can take more?" He asked while he looked back at you. His dark eyes showed sincerity. Instead of just answering you kissed him passionately and one hand wandered down his stomach to his cock. You wrapped your hands around it and pumped a few times. He groaned and let his head roll back. His eyes closed as he whispered sweet nothings in the air. He stopped your hand movements and slipped the condom over his cock. He positioned himself in front of your entrance and slid without a warning inside. You cried out and felt a single tear roll down your cheek. He swiped it away and kissed your cheeks. He waited till you were ready to take more of him. He began with a slow pace and from time to time he quickened it. You kissed his jaw down to his neck. You started to suck at his neck and he moaned at the feeling of your lips on his skin. "Jaehyun baby...I think I'm-" "No wait just a little bit more okay?" You nodded along. His movements became loppier and you knew he was also close. He kissed you sloppily and you moaned against his lips when you road off your next climax. Jaehyun still pumped a few times into you before he also reached his high.
He collapsed on you and you two breathed heavily. You could feel his breath on your neck. He slipped off his condom and you laid your head on his chest. He swung his arm around your middle and you two fall asleep.
You woke up from the feeling of a body that pulled you closer. The person hid his face in the crock of your neck. You heard a knock on the door. "Jaehyun I know you're in there. Wake up. The others already made breakfast." Sicheng's voice appeared behind the door. "And don't try to hide the fact that Y/N is also in there. We know what you two did last night. So hurry up and come down." Doyoung added. You were red as a tomato thanks to Doyoung's remark.
When you two arrived at the table in the kitchen, 12 eyes looked at you. You just sheepishly smiled and sat down without saying any word that could lead to a conversation you weren't willing to have. Jaehyun sst down next to you and this made you even more nervous.
"So you two lovebirds. Aren't gonna say anything important to us that might as well should be shared by now?" Johnny interrogated with a goofish smile.
"Well..uhmm..Y/N and I are together, I guess?" Jaehyun stated or more like questioned. You knew he wasn't sure if you saw it the same way he saw it. You two could just had a one night stand and there wasn't feelings on your side. But you quickly vanished his thoughts when you took his hand in yours and said proudly but also embarrassed. "Yeah. Today is our first day as a couple."
The others laughed at your awkwardness and you released a breath you didn't even know you were holding. "Finally. Ohh I thought you two wouldn't check it. I mean how dumb are you two that- oww. That hurt." Johnny pouted at his girlfriend whereas Carly glared at him. "Wait do you mean finally?" you asked confused. "Did you really never saw Jaehyun staring at you. He did it like everytime you were near us. I thought his eyeballs would fall out." Taeyong laughed as Jaehyun's ears reddened and he looked down in embarrassment.
The first day you two went to school and hold hands on the way to your class, other students gasped and it was quickly gossiped all over the campus that Jung Jaehyun was dating Y/N Y/L/N. Even now you couldn't believe how fast information were spread around the campus. It all felt surreal. Jaehyun the hot topic ever since you knew about him and you the nerd who anyone never really cared about. Now you were the center from all. Some students said negative things like you were after his money or you just wanted popularity others said you two looked really cute or simply envied you. You weren't familiar with all this attention and it definitely wasn't something you ever wanted but you had to deal with it, so it had to work somehow.
Your first date was the cutest shit ever. He took you to a romance movie and hold hands the entire time the film played. Once the movie was over you two went to the Hangang Park. You sat on a bench and talked for hours. He was such a nice gentlemen the whole day you couldn’t belive it. Sadness was visible on both of your faces when you had to say goodbye. He gave you kiss and left.
After a month Jaehyun convinced you to come with him to a party one of his friends was hosting. If you remembered right his name was Ten. He was holding a party in the top floor of his parents' hotel. You didn't knew how you should dress yourself as you didn't have such expensive clothes that all of the people on the party would have. You couldn't tell Jaehyun about your problem because you knew he would buy you a dress and that was te least you wanted him to do. You didn't knew how to pay him back.
A knock on your apartment door made you jump off the couch and walking towards it. You opened the door a gap and looked at the guest. It was a old man in a black suit. He had a white shirt under the suit and a black bowtie on. He also had thick glasses on. You looked at him expecting. What was an old man doing in front of your door? And why did he look like a chauffeur? "Hello my is Bervald. I'm here to give you this present from Mr. Jung. He is waiting in the car outside. Please dress quickly." He bowed and left the gift on the doorway. You quickly took the box and opened it. It was a salmon ruched side jumper dress and next to the dress were matching ankle boots. You quickly changed and put some makeup on. Just so much that it wouldn't look too bad. You stumbled out of your door and saw Jaehyun waiving through the window. He was sitting in a limousine and you honestly were overwhelmed by the view of your boyfriend sitting in it. Bervald opened the door for you and you gladly thanked him before entering the car.
"Hey babe." He greeted with a brief kiss on the lips. "Hey. Did you buy this dress for me? I don't know when I'll be able to pay you back." You said with an uncomfortable look. "I knew you would say this. It's okay. I bought this because I love you and I refuse to get money from you for this." He took your hand and placed his soft lips on top it. Then he smiled at you and you saw those dimples you loved so much on him. You couldn't be angry or anything with him when he was like this. So you smiled at him and nodded along.
When you arrived at the hotel you felt kinda nervous. You only knew Jaehyun at the party as he said that the others couldn't come. He took your hand in his and led you to the elevator. The elevator drove all the up to the top floor and when the doors opened you already saw what felt lika a thousand people partying. Most of them were already drunk. Jaehyun guided you through the mass of people and you were going stairs upwards to a room.
A security guard stood in front of the door. He had broad shoulders and looked serious. Jaehyun said his name and the name looked through what you assumed was a name list. After he found the name he stepped aside and you and Jaehyun could go in. The room was quieter. It played a different music than in the entrance.
A man approached you who was shorter than Jaehyun. He looked like a instance of a rich kid. Neatly, and well the look on his face that proverbial said I'm rich. But nonethelessly he looked like a really nice guy. He hugged Jaehyun. "Jaehyun, Hey. Is this your girlfriend everybody's talking about?" He then looked at you with a wide grin. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ten. With whom do I have the honor?" He stretched his hand for you to take out. You took his hand and shoke it. "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you too."
He led you to a table with 3 other guys and 1 woman. You three sat down and Ten introduced them all to you. A man that looked as short as Ten was Taeil and he somehow sent the same vibes as Yuta. Right beside Taeil sat Mark. He was the same guy Yuta called on the party month ago. And Jungwoo was beside Mark. Mark seemed like a little boy and Jungwoo was really cute. The only other woman in the round was named Si Jin. She looked pissed off for no reason. Her attitude was rude toward you but to the others she was the nicest person altogether.
Jaehyun bend his head to you and said he would leave for a short time as Ten wants to show him something he just purchased. He kissed you on the cheek and then disappeared in another room. You were left with Si Jin.
"So you love Jaehyun?" She eyed you up and down. You couldn't feel more uncomfortable under her sight. "Yes, I do." You said more to yourself than to her. You never said those words to Jaehyun but he said it permanently to you. You disappointed yourself. Why was it like this?
“You seem more like the type of girl that is just after his money. Stay away from him.“ She said with arrogance. “I’m not after his money. And you’re not someone I obey. So don’t interfere in the relationship with Jaehyun because I don’t think you’re winning anything out of it.“ You snapped at her. She just laughed and spilled the drink she had in her hand over her dress. The others were coming back and Si Jin looked angry and sad at the same time. Ten was the first to arrive. “Si Jin what happened to you?“ “Y/N spilled the drink over me and insulted me because she thinks I’ve a thing for Jaehyun.“
Your mouth opened but nothing came out. You were shocked that she played such dirty tricks. You glanced at Jaehyun and he looked angry at you. Was he really believing her? “Y/N see what you did. Her dress is entirely transparent. How could you humiliate her like this?“ Ten yelled at you. “I wasn’t even the one who did this to begin with. Why would I do something like this. I now my limits.“ You said while feeling yourself getting angry. Your eyebrows furrowed and the displeasure of his words were truly visible on your face. “So are you blaming her? Why would she do this to herself hmm? She’s a good friend of mine and she wouldn’t do anything like this.“ Jaehyun rose his voice at you. It was the first time that he was so angry at you. Even the looks of his ignorance were better than this situation. Everyone in the room was now looking at the scenario that took place in front of them. Your heart shattered at the sight of your boyfriend. How could he have so little trust in you? You wanted to fight back at him but what would happen? He didn’t believe you indifferent of what you said. Tears showered your face but he didn’t care. “I would never do such a thing to a person and I thought you know me. But I guess I was wrong. You never trusted me in the first place. So bye Jaehyun. Have a good life.“ You mockingly said the last words before exiting the room and the hotel.
You walked all the way home. You couldn’t care less about the people that looked wary at you. You couldn’t stop thinking about the look you saw on Si Jin’s face before you left. She smiled mischievously at you. How come he didn’t notice this?
Back in your apartment Carly already waited at you. She expected you to come home smiling like an idiot or calling you and tell her you weren’t coming home. But she definitely never expected to see you crying like baby. She ran to you and gave you a heartwarming hug. “Hey, hey everything’s fine. Calm down.“ She ran his hand over your back in an attempt to soothe you. It just achieved the opposite and you were crying more and more. You missed Jaehyun and her hand on your back let you feel more miserable than you already were.
After you calmed down you told Carly the whole story. She couldn’t believe what she just heard. “You mean this bitch tricked everyone on the party? And Jaehyun didn’t took your side but instead hers? Is he this much of a dumbass?“ She was upset at Jaehyun. She suggested to wach a movie and she also brought ice cream. The two of you chatted the rest of the night away. You couldn’t stop thinking about Jaehyun but you didn’t want Carly to feel pity because she couldn’t help you.
The next day you weren’t in the condition to go to any lecture. You were heartbroken that’s for sure but you also had one of the worst headaches in your life. Thanks to your headache you throw frequently up. Besides you had to convince Carly to go to the lecture because she thought it would be better if she helped you. But you actually didn’t want to see anybody, so she gave in.
You slept most of the day away and when you woke up in the evening your headache thankfully mitigated. Carly left you a note on the kitchen counter. She went out with Johnny but she made you a soup. You just had to warm it up in the microwave. You looked at your phone for any notifications but the only persons that messaged you were Carly and Taeyong. Jaehyun didn’t wrote you nor called you. You ate the soup and answered Carly and Taeyong. After that you crawled under your blanket again and doze off to dreamland.
A slight touch on your shoulder woke you again. A part of you hoped it would be Jaehyun but it were Johnny and Carly. You looked disappointed at them and they took care of you for the rest of the day. They wanted to drag you out but you denied. So you just sat in the living room and they called the others over. Expect Jaehyun everyone was there. You played cards and you weren’t so good at it. You lost like every round but it felt not as frustated as you felt about Jaehyun. Your sadness kinds turned into frustration.
The next week you went to school like how you used to before you knew Jaehyun. Of course they had to be rumors about you. A girl came to you and said. “He finally realized what a hoe you are.“ Then she left. What the hell was wrong with those people? It wasn’t their relationship, so why did everyone want to be a part of it? When you met Jaehyun in class you ignored him. It wasn’t that hard because he did the same with you. But sometimes you would feel him glance at you. You didn’t thought much into it and just continued to listen to the prof.
Even if you were mentally exhausted, you still had to go to work. Every hour you spent there felt like torture. The customers were more rude than before since they knew about the break up. You snapped at a student one day because he said you were too bad in bed to be togehter with. Also you explained yourself to your boss she was beyond pissed. You couldn’t allow you another mistake like this. You smiled at everyone despite their nasty remarks. Your nights were spent crying in your bed. You didn’t care if Carly heard you. You just didn’t wanted this life anymore. Everybody turned their backs to her expect from her few friends she had. Although she was thankful for the friends she gained, she couldn’t help but feel sad. They were still Jaehyun’s friend and you still missed him to death.
Taeyong took you to a new opened cafe one day. He said he felt miserable for yu so he wanted to make you at least a litlle happy. You didn’t commented on this as both of you knew nothing would change your feelings right now. The cafe was rather full but it was nice decorated. There stood fresh flowers on every table and the walls were in a bright orange. It looked new but fancy. The atmosphere felt like the total opposite of the cafe your were working at. but before you could deepen your thoughts Taeyong spoke. “I ordered an Iced Americano for you. I hope you still like it.“ “Ah...yes I still like it.“ You said hesitant. You never talked with him about your favorite drink so why did he knew it? You sat with him for quiet a while before the order was finally ready.
When Taeyong wasn’t coming back with the orders you looked the cafe up for him. He was nowhere to be found. “Y/N, it’s nice to meet you again. I really missed you.“ You heard a very familiar voice saying. There he stood with the two orders in his hand. The person you missed the most out of all. Jaehyun. He had a black jeans and a loosely light blue t-shirt on. For once in the time you saw him he didn’t look like a someone who is rich. he looked like a decent human being. You couldn’t see his face because he managed to also hold a big bouquet of flowers. He hesitantly put the drinks on the table and sat the opposite from you down. The flowers were neatly placed in the middle of the table. “You know..“ he bagan “I was really dumb. I mean I knew you would never do this but I wasn’t thinking in that moment. I don’t know why I said those things to you and ...I’m really sorry. I know this isn’t enough but I couldn’t think of anything else. I just wanted to be honest to you.“ He took your hands in his “Y/N I miss you like crazy. There isn’t a night I don’t think about you and feel like crap. I know this is chliché but what I did was wrong and again I’m truly sorry.“ You could see the sincerity in his eyes but you still weren’t convinced. “If you were so sorry why didn’t you come a week ago?“ Jaehyun couldn’t look you in the eyes as he said his next words. “I was embarrassed. I thought you would hate me to death and...and I didn’t know how to approach you. You never looked at me and you were always the first out of the lecture hall. I was being cowardly and I’m sorry for this.“ A smile creeped its way to your face and you started to laugh. He looked confused at you before you answered his question that was visibly on his face written. “You’re just too cute Jaehyun. I know you’re sorry and I already forgave you but it was too funny to see your ears getting redder.“ You said inbetween laughs. He smiled at your silliness and you died internally when you saw his dimples you missed so much.
“I love you Y/N.“ He spoke up after a short pause. “I love you too, you idiot.“

Wherever the Winds Take You: Chapter 11
A/N: Hello! It’s me! Surprise, surprise, I’m still writing this, lmao. I actually have up to chapter 19 complete (1/4 done chapter 20), but only first drafts. TBH, I wasn’t feeling super motivated to post or write this story for a while, for a number of reasons, but I recently had a couple people actually read through the old chapters again and, well, why not, right?
Anyways, here’s the newest chapter! I don’t love it because I like to think my writing has improved since like 2019 (later chapters will hopefully show that), but I originally had to rewrite it like three times and....y’girl has a life, you know? Anyways, a year and a half late, let’s get this 6k word show on the road!

The first man to try and tackle Zephyr was more than a little surprised when the small girl easily used his back as a springboard and kicked him square in the back, sending the large-muscled brute straight into one of his armed co-workers.
As another man lurched at her, this time aiming to grab her, she ducked under him, grabbed onto his arm, rolled over his back, and flipped him onto the ground. This left Zephyr at the perfect angle to look up at Aqualad as he grabbed a pistol from the hands of one of the criminals and hit him over the head with the firearm.
"Nice one." The girl’s calls echoed against the brick walls framing the large alley they were standing in. The Atlantean spared the girl a quick glance just in time to see a guy aiming a gun right at her head.
"Behind you!" He warned, and after doing a quick shoulder check, Zephyr leapt up in the air, grabbed onto a nearby fire escape, and dug her heels into the gunman's shoulders.
"Salut Monsieur." Zephyr greeted before using her grip on the fire escape to kick the man forward. Once he was tipped over enough, the girl let go of the metal and let her full body weight fall onto the much heavier man, who promptly fell to the ground. "And...Bon Nuit."
But her victory was short-lived when Zephyr was yanked off the criminal's unconscious body and forced into a wall of muscle. She could feel the cool metal of a pistol being put against her temple. The teen attempted to grab the gun, but her hands were quickly forced against her and engulfed in a much larger hand's grasp.
"Alright, Water-Boy." A thick Brooklyn accent rang out, catching Aqualad's attention, his eyes widening when he turned to see his friend at gunpoint. The two heroes recognized the figure as the man who seemed to be in charge of the goons they were fighting. "You and your little girlfriend here quit it, or the Frenchie gets it, y'hear me?"
Lina jerked her body, attempting to break away, but the man's hold on her was stronger than cement.
"Damnit." Lina thought to herself. "Robin owes us big for this…"

The cave was mostly silent, everyone having either gone home or to their respective rooms after breakfast, save for one room in particular. Laughter and the sounds of dishes clinking against each other rang through the air as the two eldest members of the team stood by the kitchen sink, dishes in hand and shaking in fits of giggles.
“Please tell me you’re joking.” Lina huffed through her laughter.
Kaldur opened his arms, sponge and half-cleaned plate still in hand, and shrugged. “Believe me, I could not make this up if I tried!"
“There’s no way someone who has trained in magic for literal years could mess up a spell that badly!” The female superhero spoke, wet hands waving in the air, trying her best to speak despite her body shaking.
Kaldur shook his head and shrugged yet again. “Well, technically it was more of a summoning, which is more complicated than other forms of spells. But yes, he did. Tula and I believe he may have mistranslated the old Atlantean words, but…”
“Mistranslate bad enough to transport himself right into-””The King’s bed chambers, yes.” Kaldur finished, nodding as his laughter began to start up again with new strength. “Oh Gods I don’t think I’ll ever forget Garth’s face when he transported back…”
Lina snorted loudly and had to lean against the countertop beside her to avoid falling over. “Oh mon dieu...how did Aquaman and Queen Mera react?” Lina gasped.
Kaldur's nose scrunched up in amusement and he had to hold up a soap-covered fist close to his lips in order to stop himself from laughing. “Not well, I can assure you. I swear on my life her majesty’s face matched her hair.”
Both teen’s waves of giggles began anew, the sounds of their joy bouncing off the kitchen’s walls. They were so engulfed in their laughter, in fact, that they didn’t even notice when a young, dark-haired boy strolled into the room.
“Something funny, I take it?” Robin asked, and immediately caught his teammate’s attention. The two foreigners tried their best to regain their composure, Kaldur roughly trying to swallow his chuckles and Lina wiping away the tears that had begun rolling down her cheeks.
“Oh, sorry Robin, we did not hear you come in…” Lina said, trying to steady her breathing, “Kaldur was just telling me about this time in Atlantis…”
“Garth, a very close friend of mine, accidentally made an error during a transportation spell,” Kaldur spoke as he shook his head and hand-waved. “It’s not the most mature story to find so amusing.”
“Maturity be damned.” Lina grinned, gently nudging Kaldur’s shoulder. “We are teenagers after all.”
“You're not wrong, Lin'.” Robin half-smiled. But then, he dropped his smile and walked up closer to the duo. “But, uh, I’m really sorry to sidetrack here guys but...I kinda need a favour.”
“How can we be of assistance?” Kaldur asked, and he placed the sponge and dish he was still holding into the bubbly water in front of him. Lina passed him the dish towel to dry his hands on.
Robin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. “Well, you see...since I’ve been staying here the past few days, I’ve kinda...left Bats on his own? Anyways, now he wants me to help him with this huge sex trafficking ring bust, and since I’ve been absent I can’t really say no. But, thing is, we could really use someone to do the rounds while we’re busy. You know, keep an eye on smaller crime.” Kaldur and Lina looked at one another, silently discussing where this was going, then turned back to the sunglasses-covered face in front of them. “I kinda thought you two would be the best option, since Wally’s busy with his family today, and you guys don’t do regular evening patrols yourselves. Plus, y’know...you two aren’t complete newbies? No offence to Miss M and Superboy.”
His logic was undeniable, of course. Kaldur and Lina looked to one another for a solid moment, silently communicating.

“Well?” The large man bellowed. “Are you going to step away? Or am I going to blow this dame’s pretty little head out?”
Kaldur’s eyes zipped to Lina’s, only to see there was hardly any fear in them. Immediately, he relaxed.
“‘Dame’?” Zephyr frowned. “Wait, do you know who I am?”
“What?” The man asked, surprised to hear his captive speaking with an air of confidence. “What should I care? You’re just another dumb tight-wearing problem-maker. But if you don’t shut up; 6:00 news will be naming you ‘dead girl found in alleyway’.”
The girl sighed. “Just when I thought I was starting to make a name for myself…” And then, with as much of a wave as she could muster with her wrists pinned, she sent a strong gust of Winds straight into the man’s face. The force of the surprise attack sent the man off his balance and Lina was easily able to break free, catching his gun, and send another blast of air into the man’s torso which sent him smashing into the ground.
The few remaining criminals sent a flurry of attacks at the two superheroes, but with their supposed leader knocked out, they didn’t last long. Within a few minutes, the remnants of the gang lay about, unconscious and incapacitated. As Lina scanned over the fallen bodies of the men she had just fought, she could feel the waves of adrenaline begin to dissipate. In its place, a sickening feeling began to sink into her stomach as an eerie realization dawned on her.
Kaldur however, barely paying the fallen men any mind, walked over to the man who had held his comrade at gunpoint and began studying his appearance. As he began patting down the front of his jacket, a pocket watch with a falcon symbol fell out. Picking up the metal device, the Atlantean turned it over in his hand.
“I recognize this symbol from a League file.” Kaldur explained. “It’s not overly common these days, but for some time, high-ranking members of the Falcone family wore it to show their allegiance. It’s not an official marking by any means, but we should make note of it so Robin can notify Batman.” As Aqualad turned to consult with his partner, he was confused to see she hadn’t moved since the fight. His concern grew once he saw that she was sickly pale and looked like she was about to pass out.
“Zephyr.” He called out, dashing over to the girl and bending down slightly to match her height, looking into her eyes. He moved his hands to grasp her shoulder, itching to hold her and make sure she was okay but quickly recoiled to give her space. Upon closer inspection, her skin was clammy, and he could see the tears frozen in her distant eyes, the way she looked at the men as if they were a dog she had just run over. “Zephyr, can you hear me? Are you hurt?”
Suddenly, Lina gasped for air and Kaldur realized she hadn’t been breathing. As her breathing quickened, Kaldur stood (unsure of what to do, wanting to touch her and ensure she was okay) but resorted to leaving his hands lifted, prepared, but not touching her out of fear he'd only make things worse.
“Zephyr...Lina, I need you to look at me, okay? Follow my breathing.”
Lina’s eyes darted for a moment, but when Kaldur lowered his head to be eye-to-eye with her, and Lina’s irises swerved to meet his, blue met silver-teal, and suddenly that was all the girl could see. She took a deep breath in an attempt to do as Kaldur had asked, and she was met with the calming scent of saltwater and beachwood. Her mind panicked to focus on anything other than the fallen bodies, embraced the warmth emanating from the man in front of her.
Lina’s breathing slowed, then fell into a normal pace, and Kaldur could feel his heartbeat begin to decrease as relief washed over him.
“Are you alright? Were you hurt?” Kaldur asked, making a conscious effort to keep his tone calm, but his concern was evident on his face.
Lina slowly shook her head. “It’s not that…” Her eyes pulled away to look back at the unconscious figures. “These men, they’re just...people.”
Kaldur blinked. “I don’t understand what you mean.”
“I...we...fought normal human beings, Kal.” The French girl spoke, her voice scratchy as the tears that had been frozen in her eyes began to freely roll down. “Not evil aliens, not super robots, not even genetically modified people or dangerous, mind-altered extremists like Desmond. These were just...normal people.” Lina gasped violently for air. “I didn’t realize it while we were fighting but...I actually hurt them! We got into the fight and I...hurt normal, every day, people.”
Kaldur felt his heart fall into his stomach. “You’ve never fought an average human criminal before.” Lina shook her head in response. As the sound of police sirens echoed off of the alley walls and the two teens jumped to attention, looked to one another, and then Zephyr waved her hands and flew the two of them onto a nearby rooftop.
“I’m sorry.” Lina wiped her eyes as the two of them landed. “That was really unprofessional…”
Kaldur hesitated, then placed his hand gently on her bicep, ready to remove it if there was any sign of a negative reaction from her, but there wasn’t. “You have nothing to apologize for, your emotions are more than understandable. Do you wish to return home or to the cave?”
“And leave you to handle the entirety of the most dangerous city in America alone? You’re not getting rid of me that easily.” Lina shook her head, then took another deep breath. “Just...give me a moment?”
“Whatever you need.” Kaldur said reassuringly.
“It’s just that…” Lina removed her hood to run her fingers through her hands and lifted her head to peer up at the smog-covered city. “Does it ever bother you?”
“Fighting people? In some amount, yes. But in all honesty, not to your extent. They’re criminals, and you’ll remember that I did time in the military at what is widely considered a young age.”
Lina’s shoulders slumped. “Right...Sorry, I forgot about that. I guess you kind of got used to the whole ‘fighting criminals that are the same species as you’...”
“Yes, however that being said; you are a very empathetic person. To a degree that I don’t think I could ever comprehend.”
This made the French girl laugh a little. “Oh come on, that's a little bit of an exaggeration, no?
“Really?” Kaldur raised an eyebrow with an amused half-smile. “When we first met you apologized to a villain after punching him in the face.”
“It was a fairly hard punch! Besides, I was new at this whole thing! I’m not that bad anymore!” At this, Lina seemed to realize something and any shadow of a smile on her face disappeared. When he witnessed this, Kaldur moved in front of her.
“What is it?”
“No, nothing. I just thought--do you ever feel like with all this crime-fighting and defeating evil...do you think it can change someone? In perhaps a not-so-good way?”
“...do you think you’re changing in a ‘not-so-good’ way?”
“I-I don’t know...” Lina's hands remained in her hair until she suddenly shook her head and plastered a smile on her face. "Nevermind! Zut alors, I'm being absolutely self-centred right now! We're supposed to be fighting crime right now, not worrying about my lack of fighting experience!"
"Lina-” As if compelled by the heroine herself, a small explosion set off a few blocks away from the roof they were standing on. Snapping to attention, the two heroes began running towards the area of the explosion, jumping between rooftops as the smell of burnt gasoline flooded into the atmosphere.
When they reached their location, they found a small apartment building made up of old bricks. The exterior was still covered in flames, and Kaldur and Lina could both already feel the heat emanating from it from several yards away. The hero’s attention was quickly focused on the small collection of civilians who were making their way outside, all of them hacking and trying to cover their mouths. Lina threw her hood back up and flew them down to the ground.
“What happened?” Aqualad asked a small cluster of civilians.
“We don’t know! There was just an explosion and... there are people still inside!” A woman spoke anxiously.
A tall, gruff-looking man stepped forward. “I’m the landlord. There are about 16 full apartments in the building, 35 people in total. I know 5 of them are out of town, but…”
Lina looked around at the group that had exited the building. There were only twenty individuals there.
“What floors would they be on?” Aqualad asked, and the landlord thought for a moment, looking around at the already-exited tenants and doing a mental checklist.
“First two floors should be empty by the looks of things. There should be four groups still in the third floor, two on the fourth, and...three on the fifth.” The man calculated, and Aqualad looked to Zephyr.
“Your Winds can float people to safety, but I won’t be able to stand the flames for too long. You handle the top two, I’ll get the third floor. Try to stop the flames if you can, but the top priority is getting people, and yourself, out. Clear?”
“Understood.” The girl nodded and lifted herself into the air. “Be safe, okay?”
“You as well.” Kaldur nodded, and with that: Lina rocketed towards the top floor of the complex.
When she arrived at the side of the building, where a window revealed a hallway billowing with clouds of smoke, Lina could feel the flames on her skin and the overwhelming scent of the burning chemicals filled her every sense. Nevertheless, she persisted, however, and created a small air bubble around her nose and mouth as she kicked the glass window open.
Lina found the top floor was still fairly intact, but once the window was shattered the clouds of smoke seemed to become chaotic. Three adults stood outside their doors, two wearing their pyjamas and one holding a small boy behind them. All of them were holding their elbows up to their faces to block out the smoke but once Lina had kicked her way into the hallways, every single person there directed their gazes towards her.
“What’s happening?” An older woman exclaimed. “Who are you?”
“My name is Zephyr ma’am, please try your best to remain calm. I’m here to escort all of you outside to safety. Is anyone else up here?”
“My sister’s still inside.” The boy behind his father explained, and the father turned to go back into the apartment
“My cat!” A woman shrieked.
“Ma’ams, sirs, please. I will get them but for now, I need you all to remain calm and still.” Zephyr tried her best to make her voice sound authoritative as she extended her hands and lifted the four adults and boy into the air. “I assure you, all of you and your loved ones will be fine. But I need you all to remain as calm as humanly possible.”
“We’re...we’re flying…” The woman who had shrieked about her cat spoke in quiet shock, and one by one Lina flew them out the window and towards the ground. Then, Lina ran into the father and child’s apartment. It was small, only three rooms in total, which happened to work to Lina’s benefit as she could easily locate the baby crib in the corner of one. Darting towards it, she was met with the sight of a small infant quietly sucking on a pacifier and gripping a blanket.
“Hello, little one.” Lina spoke slowly as she reached in and picked up the child. Lina was grateful when the baby did nothing, not even wriggle, as she was picked up by the stranger. After securing her grip on the baby, Lina flew back out and into the woman’s apartment. Locating the small black cat lurking in the dark apartment’s corners was a little more difficult, but once Lina picked the creature up she was able to fly back out the window; commanding some of her Winds to blow some of the smoke out of the hallways as she did. After passing the cat and baby to their owners, Zephyr only granted herself a small breath of air before she leaped back up to the fourth floor to resume her work.
At first, the fourth floor was just as easily managed as the fifth, the only difference being that there were actual flames licking at the floors and walls of the corridors and living spaces, not just smoke. Lina was able to fly down almost everyone, but then, as she picked up the final person (a woman in her mid-20s who Lina had found dashing out of her apartment at top speed), she was stopped as the woman spoke to her, panicking.
“My son!” The woman heaved, hacking up smoke. “He’s still in there!”
Lina peered behind the woman and into her apartment to find it engulfed in flames and charred, more than any of the apartments she had entered before.
“Where is he?”
“H-his room I think…It’s the one at the end of the hall” The woman cried, and Lina quickly summoned some Winds to carry the woman before flying into the apartment. Her charge was short-lived, however, when the sheer heat of the fire caused her to falter. She coughed, smoke entering her lungs, and could feel her Winds being eaten flames. The sound of falling wood filled the air, followed by a child’s scream, and Lina jumped back into action. Using all the air she could find, she tried to clear a path around her without feeding the flames but this proved difficult as the walls of fire only seemed to grow taller as she walked further into the apartment. Finally, Lina took a deep breath, summoned as much air as she could manage, and then flung her arms out. Following their command, the Winds tore through the air and blew the flames away, just for a moment. Taking this opportunity, Zephyr charged to the end of the small corridor. Delivering a strong kick to the door to bust it open, the sight on the other side caused Lina to falter.
The wooden room was practically destroyed, flames licking at every inch of the walls, floors, ceiling, and furniture inside. The heat sucked out all of the air in Lina’s lungs, and the girl knew her powers would be useless. There were giant holes in the floor, directly below which sat piles of debris, embers, and more fire. In the corner of the room, however, Lina could just make out the shape of a small body, quivering in fear.
“Hello?” Zephyr called. The figure’s head shot up, and Lina could just make out the face of a small boy, no older than ten. “Remain where you are, okay? I’m going to get you out of here.”
“Please...hurry…” The boy’s voice sounded weak, scared, and for a moment, the boy’s tear-filled eyes caught Lina off-guard. She was reminded of three years ago, in the last fire she had found herself in.
Zephyr ripped her gaze away from the boy’s eyes and to a window that had been smashed open. Extending her hand, Zephyr closed her fist tightly, then ripped it back to her chest. With her movements, a huge gust of wind flooded the room and quelled the flames long enough for the hero to run over to the boy’s side, picking him up.
“I’ve got you.” Lina muttered to the boy, but the moment of victory was dampened by the sound of wood loudly creaking, followed by the floor under Lina’s feet sinking and with it, Lina’s stomach.
“Oh...shi-.”
The floor crashed down with a large 'crack', sending Lina and the boy toppling down to the floor below. On instinct, Lina tried to pull another gust of wind through the boy's window, but to no avail. She tried again. Nothing. However, just as the two adolescents were about to hit the ground, Lina felt a strange tingling spread through her body and with one final attempt, Lina lifted her hand, closed it, and pulled it into her chest. Without missing a beat, a gust of air crashed into them and safely encased them. Lina landed feet-first on the ground below, the boy still in her arms.
It was then, as if the boy was just remembering how to breathe, that he let out a loud sob and threw himself into Lina's shoulder. Catching her breath and holding back her own tears of shock, Zephyr gently rubbed the boy's back. The tingling sensation lingered in her chest for a moment, before fading out.
"It's alright little one, I've got you." The girl muttered.
The moment was interrupted when the door to the room burst open. Lina turned to see Aqualad standing in the doorway, panting and looking weak, but he appeared to be fine.
"Zephyr? What…" he spotted the hole in the ceiling and the piles of debris at her feet, "are you alright?"
"I'm...I'm fine.” Lina nodded, then turned to face her partner. “And you?”
Aqualad didn’t respond, he didn’t have to. Lina knew the effects of fire and extreme heat on Atlantean physiology.
“Is everyone on the two upper levels safe?” Kaldur asked.
“They are, this little one was the last of them.”
“Then shall we? I’m...going to need a bit of assistance.”
Lina nodded, and with one more summoning, she lifted him, the boy, and herself into the air and carried them through an open window. As they descended to the ground below, Kaldur and Lina noticed that a fire truck had appeared, and Lina flew them all in its direction. Immediately, two men ran over and Zephyr passed the crying child off to one of them.
“I think he inhaled a lot of smoke, but all his burns seem fairly mild.” She explained, and the fireman wordlessly nodded and took him to the truck.
“And you two are…” The other firefighter asked the two heroes.
“I am Aqualad sir, and this is my partner, Zephyr.” Kaldur explained motioning between the two of them. “We were sent by Batman in his absence.”
The firefighter gave each of the heroes a hard look, scanning them up and down. Then he pointed straight at Aqualad’s chest. “I’ve heard of you,” he moved his finger to Zephyr, “never heard of no Zephyr before though.”
“So apparently I’m not well-known in Gotham.” Lina thought to herself but hid her thoughts by simply smiling. “I’m still fairly new to America, monsieur.”
The man gave a cautious nod, then rolled his shoulders back. “Well, nonetheless...thank you for your help.”
“No thanks is needed,” Aqualad nodded, “We just hope that everyone will be alright.”
“Yes, speaking off...do you happen to have any bottles of water on hand?” Zephyr asked. The fireman raised an eyebrow, but walked over to the truck, grabbed a canteen, and passed it to the girl. Lina took it with a thank you and handed it to Kaldur, who gratefully took a couple of large swigs.
“Well, I best get started. Will you two be hanging around?” The fireman asked.
“Only for a moment,” Kaldur said, wiping the corners of his mouth.
“Very well.” The man shrugged and then walked off. Before the two teens could say anything to one another, there was a large scream of someone yelling “Jason”, and the boy who Zephyr had saved was promptly tackled by his sobbing mother.
“Are you okay?” The woman asked, grasping her son’s cheeks and looking him over for injuries. The boy coughed but nodded, and his mother hugged him tightly again. After a moment, she turned to face the two teenage heroes.
“Thank you.” She said.
“We’re just happy you both made it out safely.” Lina smiled. The woman shot her one last grateful look, then focused back on her son. Similarly, Lina looked back at Kaldur who was continuing to chug the canteen’s contents.
“Are you feeling any better?” The girl asked. The Atlantean downed the last of the cool water, then pujt down the canteen.
“Much.” He replied. “And you?”
Lina looked back at the mother/son duo, watching as the caring mother embraced and worried over her small child with tears in her eyes. The low tingling feeling in her chest returned, and Lina felt herself smiling. Both of them were safe, they had each other. They were going to be okay. A mother and her child hadn’t been ripped apart by a terrible accident, and she had made sure of it; with her powers, and her experience as a superhero.
“I think I am.”
Gotham City

02:00
“Please, in the name of all that is sacred, remind me to never do this again.” Lina groaned from her place laying down on the cool metal of a tall commercial building. Her hood had fallen off when she tossed herself down, letting her large mass of brown tendrils flow in the wind.
Kaldur, who was properly sitting despite the equal amount of tiredness in his bones and muscles, chuckled deeply. “Same here. I honestly do not know how Robin does this every night.”
“He’s young, he’s got that 14-year-old boy energy to help him…” Lina sighed, lifting her hands to rub her gloved palms against her face. “Unlike us elderly citizens,” she strained her voice to match that of an older woman’s “...those damn youths and their energy…”
This made Kaldur laugh a little more, and Lina smiled-not even having enough energy to let out a proper laugh.
“Perhaps, but even still,” Kaldur turned his head to look at the girl lying beside him, and he let himself be enthralled by the way her pale skin seemed to glow in the light of the full moon, which had decided to peek through the clouds of smog. “I must say that I enjoyed our time together this evening. I almost forgot how much fun you are to work with, one-on-one I mean.”
Lina lifted her hands to look back at her Atlantean friend. She blushed at the compliment, but her smile was enough to distract Kaldur from the pink in her cheeks. “You make tonight sound like a date, Kal. Don’t tell me I’ve finally started to catch your attention after all this time.”
Kaldur rolled his eyes, and looked away in an attempt to hide the warmth creeping up to his face.
"Well…" Lina sighed and she went to stand up, stretching her back as she did so. "It has indeed been a fun couple of days with you and the others in the cave, but I should probably go home..."
"Indeed, I feel the same way." Kaldur nodded and went to stand up as well.
"Are you going back to Atlantis? Or the cave?".
"Tonight, Atlantis." Kaldur replied. "I find myself wishing to visit my parents, even if I feel that we will be called into action soon..."
Lina sighed. "You have that feeling too? I’m glad it’s not just me..."
The two of them made their way over to the edge of the building, and Lina flew them down to where a phone booth sat in the shadow-covered alley. Once the two of them landed, Lina was quick to pull Kaldur into a tight embrace. The blonde immediately returned the hug, placing his chin on top of her head.
"Thank you for tonight." The girl smiled, then pulled away. "Especially for...you know, that one part. Having you with me very much helped."
Kaldur smiled down at his friend, then gently moved a stray strand of hair out of her face. "It was nothing, I only wish I could have helped more."
Lina couldn't help but lean into the warmth of his hand. "You did enough just by being there, trust me."
They both smiled up at one another, then Kaldur broke the silence. "Well just for the record, as someone who knows and understands why you went into this life; no matter who/what you fight, or how long you fight crime as Zephyr, you will always be the most generous and compassionate person I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. It's just as you said last night to Superboy: we all have good and evil within us, and anyone who knows you sees how much good you put into this world."
Lina felt more heat rising up to her cheeks. "Now you're just trying to make me blush."
Metallic teal eyes rolled upwards, and Kaldur dropped his hand from Lina's hair. "I speak the truth and nothing but. I just...wanted you to know the truth."
Smiling at his obvious and sudden timidness, Lina stood up on her tiptoes to press a quick peck onto the light brown cheek of her partner.
"Thank you Kaldur, really." She hummed. "You have no idea how much that means to hear from you."
As the Atlantean's cheeks turned dark, Lina skipped over to the Zeta-tube.
"I’ll see you later Kal, sleep well tonight."
"Um...yes, you as well." Kaldur replied, seemingly in a trance. Lina laughed slightly at this, then opened the booth's door. But just as she did so, she heard her name being called. She poked her head out to look back at her best friend.
"Be safe." He said, giving a curt nod.
Lina smiled. "Toi aussi, Mon Chér."
And with a quick wink, she ducked into the telephone booth.

July 22
08:20
As Lina flopped her way into her bedroom, she lazily began taking off her uniform.
"Oh, I hope we're not called in for anything super early…" The girl muttered to herself. "I just want to lay down and sleep for the rest of time."
But just as she got her hooded shawl off, she noticed a package on her bed. The cardboard box wasn't too big, but big enough to put her on alert. What caught her attention was a large 'W' insignia on the front and the hand-written note on top of it. With furrowing eyebrows, Lina picked up the note and immediately recognized the sloppiness Calvin's handwriting.
Hey, this was left for you while you were out. Mailman said it was urgent.
Placing the note aside, Lina opened the box. Inside was a smaller, metal box with the same insignia and a bundle of white fabric. Opening the metal box first, Lina found syringes, identical to her medication save for a slightly more indigo tint, and another note. This one was typed out.
Dear Ms. Dubois,
We at Wayne Enterprises have been made aware that your current medication has recently had some issues reacting with an outside variable involving contact with an extraterrestrial compatriot. This new batch has been made in light of this and has been tested to be able to stand up to any form of neurologically-based abilities. Your family physician has been made aware of the change in formula and has signed off on his approval. However, we advise that if you face any issues with these abilities or the medication in the future that you contact said physician and Wayne Enterprises at your earliest convenience.
Best regards.
Lina found herself staring at the note, then at her new medication, then back to the note.
"Okay..." The girl muttered, then placed the metal container on her bedside table. Next, she turned her attention to the bundle of fabric, lifting it out of the box. To her surprise, it was another version of her uniform, seemingly identical to the one she was mostly wearing. Only with this one, the fabric felt different; rougher. As she lifted it higher, she noticed a small tag attached to the golden metal 'Z' symbol at the waist that read 'press to activate stealth mode'.
Frowning, Lina did as the note instructed. There was a small 'beep', then the uniform morphed from white and gold to shades of black.
Lina gaped at the now-black fabric in utter surprise.
"I don't know what I was expecting…" Lina muttered. "But I am too tired for this right now."
And so, almost robotically, Lina threw the uniform back into the box in front of her and placed the container of medication on the ground.
"This new technology...where do they get these ideas?" Lina muttered. "First sensory dampening medication, then colour changing fabric. What next? Invisible planes? Probably something insane like that."
After she was content with her ranting, Lina peeled off the rest of her uniform and fell onto her mattress. As she began to drift off, her mind swam with thoughts of the amazing technology she had just been gifted.
"What have I gotten myself into?" She mumbled, as her eyes began to slowly shut.

dancing with a stranger : david dobrik (1)
Tumblr media
You thought moving to LA was the best thing that happened to you. That was until you met him, David Dobrik. A sweet pure relationship turned into sorrow and pain as a reunion happens months after the breakup.
AN: I’ve decided to make this into a short series as it was getting too long for one imagine. Bare in mind, I barely post especially since I’m doing my studies + ngl I forgot about this imagine as it has been sitting in my drafts for five months lmao.
Inspired by my own breakup HAHA
P.S I RESPECT AND LOVE LIZA WITH ALL MY HEART. SHE IS THE QUEEN TO MY HEART, BUT FOR THE PLOT OF THIS STORY I REALLY WANTED TO DO THIS.
To say you missed him was underestimated. You miss those days where he would come home exhausted, and seeing you on the couch made him sigh with relief and content as he would flop right beside you. You miss being able to curl up against him, slowly falling asleep to the sound of his heart beating.
He was your absolute everything from the moment you guys met. You had moved to Los Angeles three years ago to start an internship for a film production where you met Josh Peck, who so happened to be visiting the studio. Overtime your friendship with Josh became a sibling bond, and next thing you knew you had met all of his friends, including him.
“Just come out this one time, please.”
“Josh, you know I don’t like parties.” you exclaimed as Josh tried to pull you off your couch.
“I know, but it doesn’t hurt to leave your house for once. Plus it will be fun. You’ve met all of my friends, well except one, and they will all be there! You’ll have Corinna, Liza and Kristen to talk too. They like you, trust me.”
One way or another, Josh will find a way to convince you. At the end you would have agreed to go out seeing as you haven’t done much since you got to LA.
“Alright fine,” Josh’s eyes widened with excitement,
“but you owe me a twenty pack of chicken nuggets,” you say “with barbeque sauce” poking him in the chest within each word before walking off to your room to grab your essentials.
Behind you stood Josh with his hands in the air in surrender motion, “aye aye captain.”
The drive wasn’t as long as you anticipated. Turns out the location was a ten minutes drive from your apartment block, but you insisted getting your chicken nuggets first which added an extra five minutes.
It was clear that you were nervous, but what for? You had already met all of his friends who you get along with well, and you’ve hung out with a few of them every now and then so what makes tonight so different?
“Are you ready?”
Looking down at Josh’s camera you could tell that he was filming. When you had first met and he told you he was a Youtuber, you didn’t believe him. Obviously growing up with Nickelodeon, you knew him from Drake and Josh but Youtuber? Didn’t see that one coming. Eventually you became used to the idea of a camera being around during your hangouts, and often forget its there.
“Yeah. Lets go before I change my mind.”
Walking towards the front door you could hear the music vibrating through the walls. The closer you got to the door you could see bits of the house and guests walking by with red solo cups in their hands. The click of the door brought you back to reality as Josh pushed open the door before both of you walked in.
“Yo! Josh is here!” You heard someone yell from what seemed to be the living room. Without your glasses it was slightly hard to see who the voice belonged to, but you could see someone dressed in all black getting up running towards the entrance where you stood.
“David! Nice to see you man,” Josh reached over giving David a hug before pulling away turning towards you.
“David, met Y/N. Y/N met the man of many hours, David.”
“Hi, nice to meet you. I like your hair by the way!” he greeted stretching his arms out for a hug.
You had recently dyed your hair purple seeing as you needed a change. You had dark roots and didn’t want to go too extreme so a dark subtle purple was the perfect fit.
“Thank you. I like your um, I like your home?” You mentally facepalmed yourself cursing at your awkwardness as you returned the hug. You felt David’s laugh vibrate through your body before pulling away.
“Come on, I’ll give you a tour around the place. Would you like a drink?”
It has been six months since you last saw David. You knew at some point you would come across each other seeing as you share mutual friends, but you didn’t expect it to be so soon.
Before the breakup, you and David were the iconic duo. The fans loved you, of course there were some who were hesitant about the two of you as they still clung onto David and Liza, but that never bothered you. Whenever David needed help with a skit; you were always there to help out even if that meant being blindfolded, and having a snake moving around you. Whenever he would get frustrated you would be the one to calm him down. You were so sure that he was the one you were going to marry. You were always there for one another.
But of course all good things must come to an end. It started with you being home alone. You and David didn’t live together but overtime of the relationship; one of you would end up falling asleep in the other’s bed.
You felt a vibration on the couch indicating that a text came through. Pulling up your phone you saw a text from David.
David: Are you home?
You: Yeah, what’s up?
Five minutes flown by and not a single response. You unlocked your phone to type out another message, and before your thumb could hit the send button you heard a knock on the front door. You weren’t expecting any guests as half of the vlog squad was on tour, and the others were out of town.
Swinging the door open; the sight of your boyfriend dressed in all black with a the infamous red pair of vans stood in front of you.
“David?”
“Hi Y/N,” the sound of your sweet voice was music to his ears as he looked into your eyes, and saw flashes of confusion due to an early return of the tour yet lust with passion and love. Guilt rushed through his entire body knowing that what he was about to do will ruin everything, and will lose the one person he loves the most.
“Listen, we need to talk.” What? Where was this coming from?
As the words spilled out of his mouth, you felt your chest tighten with fear and anxiety. Your breathing patterns begins to fasten whilst trying to gather what you could have possibly done wrong.
“Talk about what?”
“C-Can we please do this inside, and not in the doorway. Please?”
You pushed the door wider allowing David to walk in as you turned around making your way to the couch. You heard the front door click indicating that David clocked the door before making his way over.
Your eyes were trained on the ground. Fearing that if you looked up at David, you’d immediately break down into tears despite the feeling of your eyes starting to tear up.
You felt the couch dip a little as David sat on your right. None of you said a word as silence and tension filled the room. You rubbed your hands against your jeans trying to get rid of the sweat that was starting to form.
“Y/N, I love you and you know that.” Do I? I thought I did.
“But I just feel like this relationship isn’t going anywhere, and best if we stayed friends.”
Not a single movement or sound came from you as your head replayed his words over, and over again. Half of you want to snap at him for saying such a thing, but the other half wants what is best for him.
“You don’t think this relationship is going anywhere? What the fuck, David. I don’t know about you, actually no wait I do now. But I thought things have been perfectly fine between us, David.”
David could feel his heart breaking within every word you spoke as he took in your words. You had every right to be mad, hurt, and confused.
“I have done nothing, but support you, loved you, cared for you. I have been through thick and thin to be there for you, and in return you say that this relationship is going nowhere? I have met guys throughout my life where I thought they were different, but turns out they were all assholes. I gave up on finding ‘the one’ until I met you. You are different. David...”
You could feel the anger inside increase every second. Your hands were shaking with frustration as you pushed your hair away from your face. You turned your head to the side to look out the window, not wanting to look at him.
“I have known you for almost two and a half years, David.” Still refusing to look at him. You knew at some point you would have to as you sighed into your hands showing a clear indication you were heartbroken.
“And within those two years I have gotten to know you inside and out. I can read you like an open book so tell me, David.”
The tension was too much for you to not make eye contact. You turned your head towards him as you locked eyes with him. Sadness, and guilt glared in his eyes while yours showed mercy, pain and hopelessness.
“What is the real reason?”
Nothing came out of him. You watched as he sat on the couch in pure silence twisting his Cartier rings that you once loved the cool feeling of whenever he intwined his fingers with yours.
“What. is. the. real. reason.”
David flinched as you repeated harshly yet calmly. Throughout the two years of knowing each other, David has only seen you snap like you did a few times. Seeing you like that towards him gave him the chills.
“I met someone else.”
Your heart dropped to the floor as a loud sob filled the room. You covered your mouth trying to muffle the outbreak, but it was too painful to not too. The room started to spin from the lack of oxygen your body was getting as your breathing became heavy and fast.
“Get out.”
“Y/N I-”
“Get out!”
Almost immediately, David pushed himself off the couch as he gathered his phone and keys before walking towards the door. Reaching for the door knob, he turned around to see a sight he desperately wanted to erase. Collapsed on the living room floor was you heartbroken in tears. Knowing that he was the one that put you in pain caused tears of his own to form.
He wanted to run back to you, hold you in his arms as he beg for your forgiveness. He wanted to let you know that you were the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, not her.
But it was too late.
Walking to his car, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Wiping the tears away that managed to escape, he saw a message that was waiting for a response.
Liza: Did you do it? Did you break up with her already?
David: Yeah. I’ll be over in 10 x
AN: Since this is the first imagine/story on this blog, there isn’t a masterlist yet. As the story progresses I will eventually make one, but as on now I’m just really lazy lol. Hope you liked it!!!

What We Owe To Each Other: Ch. 1 - Morning
A/N: WOW I REALLY AM ALIVE IF I AM STILL POSTING MY WRITING HERE LMAO ANYWAY
I originally intended to post this as a one-shot, but my one-shot got too long for my own good so I had to divide it into 6 chapters. Said chapters will alternate between Sam's and Nate's POVs. I've had this plotbunny in my drafts for quite some time, and since I rekindled my love for this game, I have inadvertently activated this particular hyperfixation like a dormant volcano coming to life, so here we are. Also, I realized that this is my first time sharing my writing for Uncharted and I am motherfucking terrified. Please be kind to me.
Morning | Noon | Night | Midnight | Nightmare | Dawn
[Link on AO3]
Autumn in Vermont, as it turned out, was piercingly cold for Sam’s tastes. He honestly thought his balls would freeze off. He might have missed the cold at some point after all those years he spent in Panama, but he could not stand this kind of cold: sharp and biting and cruel. Jetlagged and with barely three hours of sleep, the drive—though scenic at best—became a torment. If it weren’t for his numbing hands around the wheel of his rental car, or the fact that the heater failed to offer him the warmth he sorely needed, he would have taken the time to pause from the long drive, roll down his window, maybe light a cigarette and bask in the view that unraveled around him like a nostalgic Polaroid picture: morning fog veiling the stretch of the freeway; rows of maples and aspens aflame in scalding shades of gold; hills of red and orange and ochre, as if the entire landscape waged a private war against the sky’s dreary and cloudless gray.
But Sam kept driving. No offense to the spectacular colours of fall, but all he could think about was how he was still supposed to be somewhere in India just right about now.
Maybe this entire freezing weather wouldn’t have been half as bad if his recent expedition throughout the Western Ghats had not spoiled him too much of the pleasant summer heat, the exquisite food, the thrilling views—all of which he could never be afforded on this side of the world. That or his long-ass flight from Mumbai to New York simply made it unbearable to adjust to the sickly shift in season. It was a good thing he had some sense to pack warm clothes for the road; there was certainly no way in hell he would have survived in Victor’s old yet tastefully floral Havana shirts and cargo pants. Questionable fashion choices be damned, but he had to admit: those had been immensely comfortable. Even little Meenu was charmed to see him in those clothes.
Either way, he’s already here. What else was he left to do? He should probably just focus on finding that godforsaken cottage, so he could finally warm himself up with a drink or two…
But even as Sam drifted past foggier hills and even redder mountains, and with the sordid space of the cheap Chevy not getting any warmer, he was beginning to regret heeding Nathan’s advice to postpone his supposedly extended Indian summer.
Frankly, he was beginning to regret agreeing to this whole Thanksgiving affair at all.
Of course, this was all their stupid idea. At the time—still woozy from the euphoric, Libertalia high—they had gladly obliged to celebrate at least one holiday from there on out. But now, turning down the invitation was out of the question, not when Sam had promised Nathan (and even Elena, too, for Christ’s sake, what was he thinking?) that he would give this family tradition a try. And Sam, being a man of his word (or at least, he tried to be) wanted to deliver. He even brought the finest bottle of pinot noir for the occasion. Sure, he may be a lot of other awful things, butbreaker of promises was certainly something he was not keen to add to his growing repertoire of crimes. Especially not after what he had done to Nathan.
Most especially not after that.
He had already failed his brother more than he should have. Participation on a trivial holiday such as this one or otherwise, he was not going to fail him again.
Besides, what harm could one Thanksgiving dinner possibly do, anyway?
Well, I’d probably end up questioning my life choices, he suddenly thought miserably. We’d all be sitting at the dinner table and Nathan will tell me everything there is to know about their new joint venture, their pleasant life in New Orleans, all the while I’d tell them the most entertaining story of how I almost got myself killed in India, how I’m failing to get my shit together, how I’m the incomparable good-for-nothing in this goddamn family —
A soft and a rather sensual moan shoved him out of that spiraling thought. And then another. It was coming from his jacket pocket; he fished the thing out—which, of course, had to be his phone and its extremely inappropriate ringtone—and saw an unknown number on the screen. He answered by the fourth moan.
“For the love of god’s balls, if this is another insurance offer I’m gonna—”
“Please tell me you’re already on your way here,” the worried voice on the other line said by way of greeting. It was Nathan.
“Oh. Hi there, little brother —”
“So? Where on earth are you? I’ve been trying to reach you since yesterday morning—“
“Whoa, whoa, whoa—relax,” said Sam placatingly, somewhat a little startled with his brother’s annoyance. “I only got here this morning,” he went on to explain. “My flight from Mumbai got delayed, then I had to book a rental car from JFK since my flight going here to Vermont got canceled, but yeah, sure—I’m on my way.”
“And by ‘on my way’, where exactly are you now?”
“Huh.” Sam drummed his fingers against the steering wheel, assessed the area that rolled before him: more maples and aspens and its swollen-red leaves; majestic oaks and its moss-encrusted trunks; an abundance of dew-soaked thickets; an endless foliage of green and gold. The forest around him breathed mist and fog. No nearby house nor sign in sight.
“Still somewhere in Sutton. I guess,” he answered uncertainly.
“You guess?” Nathan laughed. Sam was certain he heard the slightest sound of mockery from it. “You sure you’re not lost?”
Sam scoffed loudly. “Am I lost?” Lost in my own mind, maybe. “Nathan, I never get lost.”
“Oh. Of course,” Nathan said rather feebly. “Okay.”
“Hey.”
“Yeah?”
“What’s this really about?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you never call just to check in on me. Everything alright?”
A sudden, inexplicable silence. On the other line seeped the thick wail of a saxophone, the shrill peals of laughter, and his brother’s obvious hesitation. It was either Nathan was hiding something from him, or something was awfully wrong.
Usually, his money was on the latter.
“Uh, yeah,” Nathan said after a strained pause. “Everything’s fine.”
“Nathan.”
“What?”
“I could literally hear your bullshit all the way out here.”
“I… uh, hang on a sec—”  Nathan’s voice faltered and was quickly followed by a muffled noise, unsteady footsteps, a slam of the door. And then another silence, more unbearable than the last.
“Uh, Nathan? Still there?”
No answer.
This time, Sam pulled over the side of the road. He was dreadfully cold and, all thanks to his brother, was now also growing dreadfully anxious.
“Nathan,” Sam said impatiently, dragging a weary hand over his face, “I swear, you’re literally killing me here—”
“Hi. Sorry.” Nathan cleared his throat, letting out an audibly weary exhale. Wherever he was, it had gone completely quiet. “Right. Okay, there.”
“Now what the hell’s going on—”
“I’m going to be a dad.”
A dumbstruck silence. Then, in an almost unnerving wave of relief, Sam burst out laughing.
“I’m being serious here,” Nathan said irritably.
“Yeah I know—Jesus, Nathan,” Sam said, pressing his forehead against the wheel, “for fuck’s sake—for a moment here I thought you’d be telling me that you’re sick and dying. But, anyway. I’m happy for you, little brother! How far along is Elena? Or perhaps you’re referring to another baby momma here—“
“Goddamnit, of course it’s Elena.”
“Right. Just had to make sure. So. How far along is she?”
“Ten weeks.”
“Ten weeks? Wow, that’s…” Sam trailed off, his eyes narrowing on the road. He was absently watching the swirl of leaves that danced with the autumn breeze until an amusing realization finally dawned on him.
“Now you wait just a fucking second.”
“What now?”
“Really? Ten weeks?”
“Did I fucking stutter?”
“Holy goddamn shit, you son of a bitch!” Sam said, unable to hold back his laughter. “I can’t believe you did it in fucking Libertalia—”
“No, no, no—we are not gonna have this conversation."
“Of course we’re not gonna have this conversation," Sam offered helpfully. “At least, not for now. Because I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason why you called me, right? I mean, this could’ve waited until I get there and yet here we are.”
They were quiet again. Outside, the sky had visibly darkened. Drops of rain slowly pittered against the windows.
“It’s just…” Nathan drew out a sigh, paused, and sighed again. “It’s, well, I just… I’m happy, you have to know that. I really am. But… fuck, I don’t know, Sam. I’m kind of freaking out. What if I mess this up? What if my kid—”
“Whoa, okay—slow down, alright?” Sam leaned back in his seat. “Nathan,” he slowly began, “I know for a fact that you are gonna be a good dad but first of all: have you had the chance to sit down and talk to Elena to… you know, sort your feelings out?
“Yes. Kind of.”
“Nathan.”
“Okay, fine—no, I... we haven’t talked about it. She’s been busy—well, we both have been busy ironing things out with the new firm. We haven’t had the chance. We haven’t had the time—”
“Then make time for it.” As soon as the words left Sam, he realized how sharp and cutting the way he had said it that he immediately regretted being so callous. But if his brother needed to hear his piece of mind, then he might as well tell him what he needed to hear. “Look,” he went on, “I don’t know shit about being a parent or being someone’s husband, and I know I’m not the wisest brother out here and I’ve done stupid things, but I’m not that stupid not to know one thing here. And that one thing I am sure of is that your wife needs you to open up to her. She needs you now, more than ever. So please do us both a favour and calm down and go talk to Elena, ya hear me?”
Nathan said nothing. Another silence. Sam was waiting for a witty remark, a snappy comeback, anything.
Instead, what Nathan said next was: “Thank you. And can I just say… you’re not dumb, Sam. You never were. If you could just find Darcy again—”
“Okay, don’t even go there.”
“Right, sorry—oh wait, hold on—” Nathan abruptly broke off. Absolute silence. Then, a series of indistinct noises followed by a voice that was unmistakably Victor’s. Sam waited. Nathan came on again and said, “Sorry about that. Look, I—uh, Elena’s looking for me. We’ll talk later once you get here.”
“Right.” Sam exhaled a weary sigh. “Then try not to lose your shit before I get there, yeah?”
“Ha-ha, cute. Be seein’ ya,” Nathan said and before Sam could even say another word, his brother had already hung up.
Sam sat in solemn silence. Rain drummed heavily against the roof of his rental car as he let Nathan’s news marinate in his head. I’m gonna be a dad. Strange to think how years ago, back when they aimlessly roamed the streets of São Paulo armed with nothing but their stuttering Portuguese, the city brutally carving capable men out of their teenage bodies and testing their will to survive, he and Nathan only used to crack jokes about the mere possibility of this, of settling down just for the heck of it: being the best man at each other’s weddings, buying a house somewhere in the tropics, watching over each other’s kids. It all sounded ridiculous at the time. It all sounded so ridiculous simply because they believed that an ordinary life was something they certainly could never afford in their lifetime.
Now here we are and my brother’s going to be a father, Sam thought over and over, and I’m going to be someone’s uncle. Shit.
Sam dwelled on that thought more than he should have. And for reasons unbeknownst to him, he was suddenly reminded of Hector Alcázar. Who would have thought that there was once a time that a notorious drug lord had tempted him with the very prospect of a quiet, normal life? How bad could it be to have a family of your own, to have someone you can come home to, mi hermano? Alcázar would ask Sam whenever their conversations steered too close to their own personal affairs. He did not mind. It was not like they had anything better to do with all the time they had in the dark and dismal quarters of their prison cell. And with the way the man fondly recounted many an anecdote about how he had met his late wife, Sam was almost convinced that murderous cartel kingpin or no, everyone’s infamous Butcher of Panama surprisingly owned a goddamn heart.
Is it really all that bad? Sam had chewed on that question for years like a bubblegum slowly losing its taste. As far as the Drake brothers’ wayward ways were concerned, all this talk about an ordinary life never appealed to both Sam and Nathan back then. They already had each other. They were the family they needed. Why ask for more than they could possibly have? And besides, ordinary meant easy. And they were never meant for anything easy. They were meant for street brawls and petty thievery, for unearthing ancient relics and treasures of dead men.
But if Sam were to be truly honest—and since honesty came so unnaturally to him, this was a monumental feat—to have an easy life, or at least some semblance of it, did not seem such a bad idea at all. In fact, that was all he ever wanted since their shitty father abandoned them to fend for themselves. Because no matter how many times he had expressed his distaste at even the slightest notion of entertaining such ordinariness, a part of him wanted it. More than he was willing to admit, that part of him still starved for it. Because an easy life also meant a good life. And a good life—a comfortable life after all the shit they have been through—was everything Sam wanted not just for himself, but also for his brother.
So Sam could only be proud of Nathan for finally finding a good life worth settling for. He was happy for him. He should be happy for him.
And yet...
A treacherous train of thought. Its relentless shriek leaving echoes of all the what-ifs. Maybe if he hadn’t lost the last thirteen years of his life rotting in a prison cell, he might have had a shot at something good, too. Heck, had he made better decisions before Panama, or before São Paolo, or before London even, he might have had something better than good. Maybe he wouldn’t even have these nightmares plaguing him every night. If good and normal and painfully ordinary meant not having to wake up in the most ungodly hour desperately clawing at the bullets that no longer dwelled inside his body, then by all means—he would gladly settle with that. And maybe, just maybe, he wouldn’t be sitting in a cheap rental car in the middle of freezing Vermont, wallowing and miserable and bitter, wrestling against the horrible feeling gnawing at the pit of his stomach.
Maybe Nathan was right. Maybe he really was the jealous one. And he hated himself for it.
Oh, for Christ’s sake, Sam thought. He finally rolled down the window and lit a cigarette.

Greetings. For the fic ask: 2, 32 and 38- for the last, if you haven’t had a rude review/comment, how do you imagine you would respond?
2) Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Hmm, I don’t really deliberately build my fic around tropes. I mean, sure, hurt/comfort is where I live, but it’s less that I decide to write h/c and more that that is just the sort of thing my brain likes to come up with an imagine, and as such, that is what gets written down, too. And I feel like the tropes I really love like found family and character studies and “hi hello here’s a queer version” are a lot of what I do already.
I wish I was better at humor, since it’s really something I enjoy a lot, particularly the humorous mixed in with the angst or hurt/comfort, but it’s not something you can really force imo. Like, I do write funny bits, on occassion. But I wouldn’t know how to go about writing a humor fic.
In terms of very trope-y stuff like, idk, fake dating or having to share a bed or soul mate AUs, it’s not like I dislike them (most of them), but they don’t interest me in my own writing. Canon Divergent AU is something I’ve always loved and I have drafts of such things, but I’ve never gotten far enough to post them. So I would want to get at least one of those to the finish line.
32) How do you feel about smut?
I like reading it. I’ve written some, as well, but it’s usually not something I find super interesting to write.
The one smut fic I’ve published, the Odin/Loki one, was specifically about the dynamic I imagine them having, so I think if I feel strongly about something character driven, yeah, sure, I’d write it, but writing smut for its own sake doesn’t really interest me much. I do appreciate that a lot of people are providing that content, though, lmao.
39) Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
I once got one on a trans headcanon fic that I imagine was transphobic in nature but was so banal that it can’t be definitely determined.
*looks up how I responded*
“The tags describe what it is rather well, honey, I can't imagine you were actually surprised by the content.”
LMAO yeah, when I get annoyed I just become condescending ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I got an explicitly transphobic one on a “jkr’s a terf so here’s Harry holding the trans flag” piece of fanart, recently, too. Just wrote “spurgt” in response which is danish meme language for “no-one asked”
Idk, when it’s hate I don’t care to engage with it beyond making fun of the person doing it. If I were more mature I’d delete such comments but oh well.
I don’t feel like I’ve gotten a lot of clear-cut rude stuff (the before-mentioned is more hate comments than rude reviews, imo). When it’s kind of ambigious, I try to read it in good faith and answer based on that. And if I got something more along the lines of “this is problematic, don’t go in that direction” I think I would just lay out why I disagree. It’s what I’ve done when I’ve gotten asks to that effect here on tumblr dot hell lol

sunday progress report ( 09.01.19 )
greetings pals!! i was inspired by ao3commentoftheday’s six sentence sunday idea where you post a handful of sentences from your current work in progress and i thought it might be a great way to sort of hold myself accountable as i’m working on my novel. so i thought i would share some from what i’ve been working on in quincy willows!!
i might also turn this almost into a weekly progress report sort of thing and start keeping track of my word counts over the week, we shall see... anyway. i’m gonna give it a couple little sections here and then i truly encourage y’all to do little progress reports for yourselves too!! i’d love to chat about what might be inspiring for you this week, or frustrating, or just writing in general.
QW stats for this week:
53,000+ words
16/59 story beats completed. 2 in progress.
story phase “unlikely partnership” (8 beats) 75% completed.
momentum of the week: just sheer progress. i’m almost entirely done with a first draft of one of the 7 sections of the book, and being that close to having something completed feels really inspiring. so i’m like hurtling towards finishing this section, even if i still feel overwhelmed by how much there is to do.
obstacle of the week: it’s a combination of being overwhelmed by the scope of what there is left to do, and then getting stuck on nitpicky things as a result. for example, i’ve been getting stuck on whether or not i’m using character names too often, or repetitive sentence structure (two many two clause sentences, for example). i know that’s something i need to not think about on a first draft and i’m so much more effective when i’m just writing it out, but it definitely has been putting a damper on my progress.
other work updates: esther and i are beginning to discuss release schedules for ambition s2, and have almost 4 episodes ready to be final outlined!
snippet of the week: below the cut is part of one of the pivotal scenes from QW1, in which our two main protagonists finally have a meeting of the minds (after some other bananas stuff happens lmao). i’m feeling really good about this scene and enthused about how it turned out, hence why i’m sharing it.
keep on writing, fellow creative compatriots!! :)
“Yeah, Connor. How the hell did you get him in on it?”
“I wouldn’t say he was in on it, per se. And I honestly consider him the biggest stroke of good fortune in this whole affair.”
Jonah grimaces, lightly dabbing at his upper lip. He’s relieved to find the blood has stopped pooling. “That’s definitely not how I would describe him.”
Xavier smiles, amused. “Fair enough. From your angle, I can understand that. I couldn’t believe that you managed to pick a fight with him on the same day you gave me a destination to stage our experiment. It’s almost as if you were reading my mind.”
“I did not pick a fight with him. He—,”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever Achilles. You don’t have to defend yourself with me.” Jonah raises his eyebrows at the offhand nickname but Xavier is already past it, onto the next thing. “I found Connor’s whole defending the town honor act pretty laughable, but the fact that he challenged you at all was a good sign. I knew if I was going to act, I had to act now. While you were determined to go investigating and he was still pressed. So I simply… knocked over a domino.”
Slowly, Jonah can see the puzzle piecing together. He remembers how their own conversation kicked off earlier in the day, thanks to the surprise message left through the slits in his locker.
“The note. Connor mentioned a note.”
“Guilty as charged.” Xavier raises a hand in surrender. “I posed as you in the note to provoke him to meet you tonight. In the woods by the path to the abandoned cabin, since that’s where I was nearly certain you’d end up at some point tonight. Again, the timing was iffy, but it all worked out in the end.”
“So, wait a minute.” Jonah raises a hand to pause him, tilting his head as he swallows a particularly harsh dose of reality. He doesn’t even try to hide the incredulity in his voice. “You used me as bait?”
Xavier doesn’t even blink. “And you did a perfect job. Masterful performance, honestly.”
..
I’m going to tag some of my writerly friends to see if this is something they want to participate in as well (the sharing a snippet bit, not the like... over the top analyzing and oversharing lmao). But I encourage all my writing friends and followers to give it a go!!!
