So. . . Basically I am loving the idea of the new Halloween event! I do have a couple of hangups, but it's nothing that breaks the game.
First off the premise!
Another book-based event! Much like with Stitch in the beach episode, it looks like Jack Skellington, Sally, and Zero are all going to be characters that our chosen cast interacts with!
While this will be a lot of fun, I am a bit sad that this means we likely won't get officially "twisted" versions of these characters (barring Skully but we'll get to him). Also the book-based event means that, likely, whatever happens can be considered semi-canon at best because everyone will just end up with amnesia and forget the whole thing happened in the end which is a little less fun.
Next up!
"Skully J. Graves"
Not much to say at this point. Love him. Love his design. Gojo is reincarnated and I'm not complaining. I can't wait to see how he interacts with the casts of NRC and Nightmare Before Christmas. How will he fit into the story?
Being Twisted from the Pumpkin King himself (confirmed by Yana Taboso!) I wonder exactly how he'll be as an antagonist to our boys, if at all.
And of course the new cards!
~Fabulous~
~Chef's Kiss~
~Mmmwwwwaa!~
I was hoping for a different group of SSRs, but I won't harp on that too much. The guys look great! We've gotten 2 Jamil cards in a row now with his hair down and I think he looks great! Sebek is so dapper in that hat, and he was one of the characters I hoped would get a gold card for this Halloween. ~And LEONA. WOW. Man, he looks awesome in an eyepatch. Like, I know he doesn't need it, but that is actually the PEAK of his character design.
IT ONLY TOOK 5 YEARS FOR SAVANACLAW TO GET A HALLOWEEN SSR!
I was honestly hoping that Jack Howl would get it because he's so neglected (HIS LAST EVENT CARD WITH A GROOVY ILLUSTRATIONS WAS PORT FEST!) and Ruggie and Leona generally get more attention than him, but Leona is fine for now I guess (Stop stealing Jack's cards!). The card looks great and Jack can always have one next time. He isn't in this event which is a pity, but at least that means next time is open for him! (We're running out of characters to rotate into the SSR slots. . .kind of frustrating actually.)
As for the rest of the cards: They look great too! Honestly, I'm happiest to see Vil, Azul, and Malleus get the R cards they so deserve (mostly Vil because he should have had one last year!). The one thing I agree with in terms of negative aspects is that Idia does seem a little lack-luster for an SR card. I think we're just very used to his Phantom Bride attire and this is kind of a downcycle of that look so I don't blame people for being underwhelmed honestly.
Also, Trey is out of R-Card Hell! Good for him. :)
Final thoughts and hopes for the event?
I think it's funny that they need to specify it as Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas.
I think that each of the SSRs will get a featured character to have alongside their chibi battle sprite. Much like Stitch is with Lilia and Floyd. (A leaked image has Sebek with Zero, so I think the safe bet is that Leona will have Jack and Jamil will have Sally.
All of the overblotters are in this event, which is the first time I thinj this has happenes on Halloween so you can tell this one is going to be special!
And that's just about it from me as far as first impressions go! One last thing before I go though!
I have this cockamamie idea in my head that since this one is such a big deal--given the featured film theme--I really, REALLY, would like the idea of this being the next Halloween event to get a 2-part release. Like how the first 2 years were Halloween 1/2, I think ALL THE BOYS should get the chance to dress up fancy and hang out in Halloweentown! It's a pipe dream, and highly unlikely, but there is another character we didn't see in the teaser that could easily be twisted for a new bishie in a second part to this story!
(EDIT! I HAD TO RECAST THE POLL TO MAKE IT GO FOR LONGER THAN A DAY!)
#the obvious name joke with Jack was right there guys#and they decided to sweep it away#justice for jack#twisted wonderland#twst#twst hot takes#twst leona#twst sebek#twst jamil#twst skully#skully j graves#skully#the nightmare before christmas#halloween#twst halloween#halloween event#jack skellington#twisted jack skellington#watch them put the boogie man in here as a surprise like gantu was#ruins my idea for next years halloween#but any interaction between oogie boogie and Jamil will be priceless!

Trick 'r Treat (Fox Mulder X Reader)
HERE IT IS
HAPPY FRIDAY 13TH
I HAVE FINALLY WRITTEN FOX MULDER SMUT
hope u all enjoy <3
18+ only
It wasn’t an original Halloween costume by any stretch- but no one could deny it was a classic. The playboy bunny. Sheer nylon tights, black pumps, bunny ears and a tight black corset synching in your waist and pushing up your cleveage. It was your friend’s Halloween party and you always wanted to go as a bunny. Fox, begrudgingly said he would go as Hugh Hefner; he made his objections very clear.
When you initially brought up the idea of the couple’s costume, he responded with “Baby, he’s an old creep- you can’t be there looking unbelievably sexy whilst I’m dressed as some geriatric old pervert”. But, you’d managed to bring him round to the idea, whilst you would be physically uncomfortable in your tight garments, he would get to lounge in a dressing gown and a hat. He got to be comfortable whilst his girlfriend looked unbelievably sexy? DEAL.
He loved your outfit…but to be honest, you kinda expected more of a response.
It felt like your cleavage was up so high, your breasts were constantly in your eye line, your waist was sucked in and your legs looked…let’s be honest…phenomenal. As you waited for your taxi to pick you up to take you to your friends party, Fox pressed a kiss to your lips and told you how good you looked.
But that didn’t feel enough.
You wanted him to drag you to bed at that moment and tell you that you couldn’t leave wearing that. But no, you sat in the taxi, with Fox’s hand on your thigh. When you arrived, your friends loved the outfit and they were very explicit with their compliments to you. Fox smiled as they spoke to you and kept his hand around your waist. If you wanted this night to end the way you had planned it to- it was time to up your game.
It started with spilling a drink, something dumb and easy enough to be a mistake. As you were talking to Fox about something happening at the party. The music was blaring and there was people all around, you pretended that someone had bumped into you and spilt your vodka sprite on your cleavage. The clear liquid trickled down your breasts and honestly, it looked hot- you looked amazing. Fox’s eyes bore into your chest, you swiped a finger across your breasts and placed it in your mouth after.
You sucked your finger, not breaking eye contact with him “It was such a nice drink…such a shame to waste it”. You ran your fingers across the sticky liquid again, gesturing your finger out to Fox- “want to taste?”.
Fox smirked, pressing a kiss to your cheek and whispering lowly into your ear, “I’m fine thanks baby”
At that moment, you realised that Fox was playing a game.
A game that you were determined to win.
***
As you drank more, your plan became some what sloppier.
When Fox sat down, you’d sit on him and subtly grind against him. Only like one rotation of your hips but hard enough for him to feel it. As soon as you felt his fingers grip your hips, you’d get up and leave to plan your next trick.
When you played beer pong against each other, you’d lean down far too much so he could look straight down your corset. He didn’t score once whereas you hit every cup you aimed for.
Once the drinks started flowing more freely, the music turned up more and you found your best friend and danced with her in the front room. It felt like there was bodies all around you, it was hot and you could feel your body getting damp with sweat. Fox was leaning against the wall looking at you and god, did you know it. You wrapped your arms around your friend and danced against her. You pushed your ass out, moving it slowly to show Fox how your cute little bunny tail could move; you knew he was thinking about how good it would look moving up and down on his cock.
It had finally worked- he snapped. You felt him come over and make apologies to your friend as to why you had to leave.
He hailed a taxi and was silent the entire ride.
He kept his warm hand firm on your upper thigh. He rubbed circles into it softly as he stared straight ahead. His pinky finger began to dip lower and lower, before you could help yourself you tried to move yourself forward towards his fingers. Hoping he would brush your clit through your outfit. He laughed lowly and moved his hand back to your upper thigh.
The silence remained.
***
You tried not to stumbled through the front door, you weren’t drunk per-se, just desperate to fuck your boyfriend. You wanted to start on him to be honest, you wanted to shout at him for not fucking you earlier and for him not showing how much he wanted you. As you turned to speak to him, his strong hands gripped your hips and pushed you against the wall in your hallway.
“I’ve tried so…so fucking hard..to keep my cool all night but I can’t do it anymore” His lips were relentless against your neck, you nearly grimaced at the thought of all the bruises you’d have tomorrow but it felt. so. fucking.good.
You couldn’t help the moan that escaped your lips, “You’ve acted like you didn’t like the outfit”
Fox chuckled, his hands held your face “Baby, I’ve been so fucking close to losing it all night” He pushed his crotch into yours, “you feel that? All night. Ever since you walked out the bedroom in that fucking outfit- I know you think I wasn’t interested but god baby, if I started I wouldn’t have been able to stop”.
You kissed him hard, it was a mash of tongue, lips and teeth- both of you desperate to feel the other moan into the other’s mouth. Without words, you both moved upstairs onto your bed. Fox scrambled to undress himself as you sunk to your knees in front of him.
Your bunny ears askew, the heat of the night had made your eye make up smudge around your eyes and god, did you look a sight. Fox nearly lost it right there and then. But when you pressed your hand to his cock through his boxers and asked, with your sweetest doe eyes, if you could suck his cock. He nearly came in his pants like a teenager.
He’d been het up all night and the thought of his hard cock in your soft mouth nearly made him finish. No matter how desperately he wanted it, he couldn’t let you give him a blowjob.
“God, I want that so badly” he chuckled to himself, heartily chuckled, his desperation to cum making him nearly delirious. “But I need to fuck you, I need to feel you cum on my cock…please keep the outfit on just let me rip your tights”
You got on all fours on your bed, the excitement buzzing through your veins as you arched your back perfectly for Fox. You heard him mumble a small “fuck” under his breath as his warm had rubbed your ass check. He adored your body, he loved missionary, it was his favourite position no doubt but tonight, he needed to fuck you as hard as he could. He needed all the frustration from the evening to come out as he fucked you. He knew you liked it that way, honestly he’d fuck you anyway you wanted to- he’d crawl over broken glass if you so much as smiled at him.
You were a sight before him, your white fluffy tail sticking up, your ass arched up perfectly and your head turned to look at Fox as he slowly pushed into you. It stole the breath from your lungs. His eyes rolled and fluttered shut as he pushed his cock fully into you. You moaned and put your hands at the small of your back- perfect for Fox to hold on to as he fucked into you.
When Fox fucked you, he moaned and babbled about how good you felt. When it was good he moaned loudly, but when it was really fucking good, he babbled about your body and how he loved you. Tonight, it felt really fucking good.
“Christ baby, you’re so good…such a treat fme right- all mine” You moaned at his words, each thrust of his hips getting you closer and closer.
You gasped his name and his hold on your hands gripped you harder.
“I know baby, you’re going to cum…I’m so close…cum and then I’ll cum in you, p-“ Before you could hear Fox plead with you, you came. You moaned and slightly shook as the waves of pleasure rolled through your body. Fox came not long after and you both laid down face first on the bed smiling at each other.
“So…you liked the costume? More of a treat than a trick right?”
“God baby, absolutely” Fox laughed.

Here's some pictures of the environments I created for this render - requested by @jack-jerky. More specifically: a random Atlas HQ hallway (or at least somewhat close to resembling one) and Jack's AR chamber he's been occupying ever since Rhys decided to bring him back about 2 years after the fall of Helios.
Final Render
Alternative Shots
Despite still having trouble plugging in some specific materials for the models (particularly the walls, which are actually rotated the wrong way but have been instead masked with additional models), this environment turned out better than I was expecting. Of course, there was a lot of trial and error but with each environment I make, I create some assets that are usable in other places. E.g. for my Jackothy render I made a lot of visual effects, like fog, flames, dust, etc. that I've also repurposed in this render as well as several other renders before this one. And as with most of the assets, I actually borrowed the sprites used for these effects from the BL games themselves so that they would fit right in.
When it comes to the chamber itself, I wanted to capture a very "hazy" and "unreal" feeling. After all, none of these things inside the chamber are as real as what is outside. They're somewhat of projections created from countless collections of data - honestly the closest comparison I'd make is to the VR missions in BL3. Like, you can still see and interact with stuff, there are collisions, but they're not real. Sure you could sit on top of that chair, but you can't really feel its texture and material, can't tell if it's hot or cold to the touch, or how much it weighs.
The change in lighting in, however, is done by Jack himself, who had been preparing for this particular moment for weeks on end. By this point he is fully integrated with the chamber's system, knows the ins and outs. Heck, he's even got access to the ECHOnet by now ("only" took him about a year to convince Rhys to get someone to install a driver into the system). But this is where the question comes in. Why is Rhys absolutely down throughout the whole thing? What's this thing Jack's been talking about that's making Rhys' frown a permanent feature on his face?
Considering the fact that the two have been broken up for over a year now because of an argument they can't even remember, and conveniently neither party can find another significant other (nor do they even try to... after all, they still feel an indescribable magnetic pull toward each other despite refusing to admit so), Rhys is rightly worried, and jealous, when one day Jack announces he managed to snag himself a date. However, Rhys has no idea that this is all a game to Jack, who is trying to see just how jealous he can make Rhys. If Jack's learnt anything over the years, it's that Rhys will never make the first move on him. And with Rhys' recent visits fluctuating in frequency (both because he is a busy man, and because Rhys feels no point in coming over anymore now that his and Jack's lives are not as intertwined as they used to be), Jack knows he needs to do something. And he needs to do it fast.
When Jack sees him that day, however, his entire plan to win Rhys over falls apart. The bouquet and wine he had ordered arrived early, sprawled over the coffee table like there was no thought or preparation made by Jack for his date. Not even that. Just the sight of Rhys makes him short-circuit. Every word he had meticulously planned to say disappears. Nothing else mattered to him besides Rhys. He needed Rhys. He needed him to stay. To be with him. To be his. His mind was filled with nothing but Rhys.
Remember how I mentioned Jack had been fully integrated with the chamber's system? Well, let's just say that the chamber sometimes also projects Jack's needs and desires.

Ehhmmm HI EVERYONE !!!! so this is very inspired by @kafus's Pokémon liveblogging n their various playthroughs and its been so fun to follow, and it gave me the inspiration to pick up a new playthrough - or TWO PLAYTHROUGHS !!!
i realized its been forever since ive actually played FireRed LeafGreen and that ive never done it w. the help of save editing to add eg. Rare Candies for grinding. but i also realized that ive never actually played the Gen 1 Pokémon games....so i decided to do both !!!!
im doing a kinda-sorta Nuzlocke too, just to try out different Pokémon and get myself to rotate between them, but I am also moreso trying to use funny stuff more than minmaxxing for strategy. Here's my Pokémon Red team for instance!!
Yes that's Marcel the traded Mr. Mimel!! I got an Abra as my first encounter and realized that using Alakazam would just be steamrolling people with a big Special number, so I boxed it for later to use Gen 1 Mr. Mime for a while. I've rotated some of these members in and out with others in the box, mostly because the movepools are so fascinatingly terrible ^^; Like - I wanted to use Nidoking because his Gen 1 sprites are absolutely incredible, and you can get him before even the second gym from Mt. Moon's Moon Stones, but........he doesn't get Double Kick unless you get Nidorino to like Level 47?? and Nidoking misses out on Thrash unless you level him up early.
Clefable has been the absolute QUEEN of the run though, like !!! i love her silly sprite in this game so so so much, and the well-rounded stats paired with Sing make them a really good Pokémon to use in pretty much any situation. its funny how the lack of many good moves means that mediocre moves like Growl or Water Gun end up feeling useful just for being options at all...I've had some fun with the mediocre TMs given out too, like giving Bide to my Ivysaur to utilize the Leech Seed draining effect as best as possible in a sort of quirky strategy. Though on the flipside I had to give up on using Mankey entirely after realizing it just gets NOTHING in terms of moves - before Yellow it literally doesn't learn any Fighting type moves by leveling up other than Seismic Toss (which doesnt count), and the only one it gets by TM is Submission which is.....nooot good :T
Anyhow - Here's a terrible img of my FRLG team! I'm out of Rock Tunnel and in Celadon in this playthrough wheras the RBY playthrough is still not through the tunnel yet :( BUT that means that I've gotten a lot more silly goobers in this run. Even though my Mankey died here before I could use it for anything funny.....i really like Primape's design so im kinda sad I've never gotten to use it lol
ANYWAY ANYWAY look at my fucking boy. look at my Fungler. look at my little man. he has 20 diseases and he sucks ass. i love him.
i played a Gen 3 fangame a while ago that gave you access to Fury Cutter as a TM and a Paras really early on, and the gears got grinding in my head to force sleep with Spore and then chain a Fury Cutter combo, and the affection for that silly strat has stuck with me and made me kind of adore Parasect by extension. look at my fucking guy he sucks so much!!! but he puts people to sleep really well and has cool bug claws. i love his terrible movepool and having to give him Secret Power to do any damage. lol .
it is funny to play these older games where the movepools sucked ass, even as deep in as Gen 3 . so you have to really stretch for ideas on how to use mons but it feels really fun when you make something sorta click? like this Doduo Rage -> Rest -> Chesto set, it doesn't get Swords Dance nor the infinitely funnier Acupressure but this is kinda just a shittier funnier version of that? also Tri Attack being physical feels like it was made just for Dodrio. i love my bird.
im still kinda miffed at how many things just sorta suck in Kanto though. like so many routes early on are just Rattata/Pidgey/Spearow/Ekans while the Safari Zone alone has like 7 Pokémon you can only find there, the distribution feels so strange. and of course the whole Game Corner garbage, i want to use Hyper Beam in Gen 1 because of how cool its Gen 1 exclusive quirks are but its a Game Corner exclusive reward >:((( im gonna have to see if i can save edit gambling coins into the game or what.
BUT im having a lot of fun !! its so silly seeing all the Gen 1 sprites ingame for the first time. the Gen 1iness of it all. not even being able to fuckin check how strong moves are or how much accuracy they have. or even sort the order of moves outside of battles. your battle items menu just opens up your entire bag. such a silly fuckin mess of a game. i love it .
(also feel free to ask about any of the nicknames i have answers for like half of them)
#mel alphabet soup#mel goes to kanto#<- the tag for these playthrus#idk if ill post frequently i kinda just wanted to show off my sillies :3#i hope i can use Fungler to the very end i lov Parasect i love him#justice for Parasect i want him to be big and strong buff my little guy pls#pokemon#pokemon rby#pokemon frlg#pokemon gen 1#pokemon gen 3#pokemon games#nuzlocke#pokemon nuzlocke#game boy#gba#game boy advance#nintendo 3ds

‘Verse: Resistance Story: Unlikely Salvation, co-author @whump-sprite Timeline: Late Arc 2, Ariadne and Alex living together
Missing Taryn [ First | Prev | Next ]
Alex comes home to find Ariadne sitting on the kitchen floor, surrounded by the contents of the undersink cabinet, trying to unblock the drain with a bent coat hanger. She’s disassembled the trap and as many of the pipes as she can. Half the pieces are in the sink above, the other half balanced on the baking tray that’s catching the filthy water underneath.
“Heya,” Alex calls as he closes the door behind himself. “Hey,” Ariadne calls back.
She hears him take his coat off and go to the bathroom, then he comes into the kitchen and stops in surprise at the mess arrayed around Ari where she sits with her sleeves rolled up, arms streaked with black-green drain slime, up to her elbows in the sink’s guts.
“What’s up?” he asks. “The sink’s not been draining right.” He can hardly have failed to notice. “We let too much pasta and shit go down it, probably. I put drain cleaner down it yesterday but… it didn’t work. So now I’m trying this. The blockage is a pretty long way down and I’m having trouble reaching it.” She shrugs. “But I think it’s working. Slowly.”
“... can I get some water? I was going to make coffee.” “Sure. Just try not to let it go down the plughole, or it’ll land on me.” She leans out of the way to let Alex fill the kettle, then resumes threading the coat hanger back into the pipe to fish for another blob of goo.
There isn’t a lot of space in the kitchen for two people, even without an obstacle course of cleaning supplies covering the floor, but Alex finds a spot to lean against the counter and watch Ari work.
“Where did you learn to do that?” Ariadne almost laughs. It just seems like common sense – drain’s blocked, you stick something down and unblock it. But Alex just wilts if he thinks she’s laughing at him. “My mum could fix just about anything,” she says. “I guess I got it from her.”
The stove hisses gently. Ari glances up, and catches Alex with a strange look on his face – thoughtful and perhaps a little puzzled.
“You don’t talk about your family much,” he says. Neither do you, Ari thinks. Instead she says, "The apartment I grew up in was…. well, bigger than this, but not much bigger. The kitchen was a bit wider, probably not any longer, we had a second bedroom… Okay, a bit bigger. But it felt pretty cramped with four kids in."
"Things were always breaking, probably because kids don't treat stuff gently. The landlord didn't give a shit, and mum couldn't afford to call a guy in because she couldn’t work full time what with looking after us."
She's not sure where dad's money went, thinking about it. Alcohol, perhaps. They didn't talk about it.
"So she'd get out a screwdriver or whatever, get one of the older kids to hold things for her, and she’d do it herself. She used to say, if you see something broken, you fix it. So that’s what I grew up doing."
Alex is quiet. Ari wrinkles her nose, rotating her bent wire and wiggling it back and forth to try and get the hook on the end to catch on the blockage instead of just poking uselessly at it. Behind her, the kettle starts to whistle. “Do you want coffee?” Alex asks. “Always.” He fills the press.
Finally the hook catches, and Ari is able to coax another disgusting glob up the pipe. She deposits it on the baking tray with the others. It’s mostly hair. How enough hair gets down the kitchen sink to form a major structural component of a blockage… must be one of life’s great mysteries.
The smell of coffee starts to cover the drain stink.
“What about your folks?” Ariadne asks, as she starts to thread the wire back in once again. On the edge of her vision, she sees Alex shake his head. “It was just me and my sister,” he says. “I’m sorry.” He hums a little non-committal hum in acknowledgement.
She’s almost done here, she thinks. It’s hard to visualize what she’s touching with the wire, but she wiggles it around as far as she can, and she can’t feel it catch. She’d like to be able to put some water down it and see if it flows, but she’d have to reassemble all the pipes first.
“D’you… want your coffee down there?” Alex’s voice has turned brittle. Ari looks up. “No,” she says, “I’ll come get it in a minute, I’m filthy. … are you okay?” Alex looks down and away. “I miss her.” He says it like a guilty admission. “Oh, Alex. I’m sorry.” “No, I’m sorry. After what she did I shouldn’t be–” “Of course you miss her. She’s your sister. I’m not gonna get offended.”
Ari sits back on her heels to look up at him. She almost puts her hands in her lap, then thinks better of it.
“She must seem like a monster to you,” he says. Ari tugs at her lip with her teeth, picking her words carefully. “I’m not her biggest fan,” she ventures. “But… she had a good reason to hurt me.” “No,” Alex says firmly. “Revenge isn’t a good reason.” “Okay. What I mean is… she had an understandable reason. I’m not… I don’t think I get to decide she’s a monster.”
Alex sniffs a little. “I thought you’d hate me for still loving her,” he confesses. “Definitely not,” she says. “Not even a little bit.”
He picks up his mug, then puts it down again awkwardly.
“... can I have a hug?” Ari grimaces, and shows him her hands. “You really don’t want a hug right this second,” she says. “I stink. Give me a minute to wash up, then yes.” “... What about the drain?” “The drain can wait. It won’t mind, it doesn’t have feelings.” He smiles a little bit at that. “I’m nearly done anyway.”
Ari washes up in the bathroom, soaping all the way up her arms. She scrubs, and rinses, and soaps up and scrubs again before she’s sure the smell is gone. Looking in the mirror, she finds she’s managed to touch her face and leave a black smear right across one cheek. She wrinkles her nose in disgust.
“Still want that hug?” she asks, when she returns to Alex in the kitchen. Alex nods. Ari hugs him tight around his ribs. He hugs back, and she feels him relax against her. She relaxes too, suddenly aware of how tense she was.
“You could go back, you know,” she says. “If you’re homesick. You don’t have to live with me forever.” “But… what would you do?” “The same as I do now, more or less.” “You’d be alone.” “Yeah,” she says, pulling back a little to look at his face. “I’m a grown adult you know. I’d be okay.” He hums, and reluctantly lets her go.
“I don’t want to leave you,” he says. “This… is working. Besides, I don’t know if… I’d be welcome. After…” He doesn’t have to finish that thought. After he helped Ariadne. After he chose an enemy over his own people. “Okay,” she says. “That’s okay, you don’t have to go anywhere you don’t want to. I just… want you to know that… if you want to, I won’t stop you leaving. I won’t be upset.” “Okay,” Alex agrees, voice still a little tight. “Oh, here –” He picks up Ari’s mug, and puts it into her hands. “Oh.” She smiles. “Thank you.” She starts to take a sip, then wrinkles her nose. “Shall we go in the other room? It smells of drain in here.”
Settling onto the couch, Alex still looks mournful. Ariadne isn’t sure if she’s said too much, or not enough. She sits beside him, checking his reaction to be sure she’s welcome.
“Tell me about her?” she suggests cautiously. “Your sister. What’s she like, when she isn’t…” “Breaking people’s bones,” Alex says sourly at the same time as Ari finishes “-- mad.” He frowns, and Ariadne realizes what she’s asked. “You don’t have to,” she amends hurriedly, “you don’t have to tell me anything about her, forget I –” “No,” he cuts her off, “I know what you meant.”
He leans against her shoulder, and Ari shuts up to let him think.
“She was the only family I had,” he says. “She always defended me. Always. Ever since we were children.”
“She didn’t use to care about resisting the government, or fighting back. Neither of us did. We just wanted to survive. It was only after the Resistance rescued us from… from the hospital. After that, we wanted to help them help other people like us.”
“Tare didn’t want me to heal for the Resistance. She didn’t want me to ever have to heal anyone again, but… I wanted to. I didn’t want her to go off into danger fighting for them. But she wanted to. She was always brave. Fierce.”
Ariadne suppresses a shiver as goosebumps race across her skin.
“She had to be, to survive. To keep me safe.”
Everything Ari could say sounds trite in her head. You had a hard life. She cares a lot about you. I'm sorry.
She rotates her mug in her hands, and wishes for the distraction of the drain.
“I never thought,” Alex’s voice is quieter, sadder, “that she’d…” “I had it coming,” Ariadne says. “Ariadne,” Alex reproaches. “No,” she says, “hear me out. I know it was… wrong.” She says it, but it’s difficult to wrap her head around what could be right or wrong, under the circumstances. “I mean that… it followed, it was a consequence of what I did, what I was. I knew the risks. It was… a reaction, to my actions.”
Alex hmms sadly. His shoulder is growing warm against hers. “We don’t believe in that kind of torture. Not for any reason. Or at least… I don’t. I thought they, the Resistance, didn’t either. If I was wrong… then I don’t belong there, and I don’t want to.” Ariadne nods solemnly. “You don’t have to go back,” she affirms. “We’re doing fine, we can carry on like this.”
Alex meets her eyes, and nods, and wipes his nose, but something catches in his voice when he speaks. “I don’t hate her,” he confesses. “I – I miss her.” Carefully, checking his reaction, Ari puts her arm round him as he swallows back tears. “It’s okay,” she says. “It’s okay to miss her, it’s okay to not hate her. Of course it is. I get it. It’s okay. It’s… messy, and complicated, and… we have time to work it out. As much time as you need.”
Alex settles against her. “I don’t know if that’s true,” he says, choked up. “She… it’s a dangerous way to live. What if she dies, and I’m not there?” “Then… perhaps you can send her a message. Or arrange to meet up with her, talk to her.”
Maybe you could convince her to stop being a terrorist and go off with you, thinks a part of her that clearly hasn’t gotten the memo yet about that no longer being her damn problem.
“It doesn't have to be all or nothing,” she says. "Think about it." Alex nods against her shoulder. "And… it's okay, with you? If I want to see her?" Ariadne swallows. She thought it was. That's why she said it. But she's suddenly very conscious of her pulse thudding in her skin. "I won't let her hurt you," Alex says. "I won't let her. She doesn't even have to know where you are." "Then… yeah," Ari agrees, "yeah, it's okay with me."

"like, once he's got miu and gonta killed, it's like nooo im totally not acting out because i feel extremely guilty. nooo this kamikaze plan is definitely not a direct result of that. i am simply the antagonist. im evil and crazy and this is what is in character for me. this is simply my curtain call."
I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT LIKE THAT NOOO. but YES omg that. plays SUCH a part. he's trying SO hard to make himself completely logical and cold and calculating to help everyone without all those silly caveats. but he's HUMAN and he FEELS and he's doing this to help everyone and he feels so so bad about everything he's doing (except he's not, obviously, that's sooo dumb why would he feel bad about helping everyone? you're so dumb :/ NO HE'S NOT CRYING SHUT UP)
ohh and that SO helps him detach from everything doesn't it. he so THOROUGHLY sees himself as the antagonist because of his own guilt that he starts planning his own downfall, literally becoming his own worst enemy because he cannot let this shit continue but also he's the one doing it? and it's for the good of everyone? but that's what every villain says.
(man writes his own narrative. tsumugi who?)
(no seriously my most self-indulgent headcanon is that so much of kokichi's bullshit was completely unplanned. like they wrote the characters and some of their progression but they did NOT plan for this so every time some more crazy bullshit happens and tsumugi's got her whole "omg O_O that's so weird guys!!" schtick going it's almost COMPLETELY genuine because internally she's genuinely just going "what the fuck??? i did not sign up for this shit." layers upon layers of pretending. also it's my silly little way of letting kokichi win in my brain. because he DID confuse the mastermind. even if it was mostly just a series of inconveniences.)
anyway your brain is iconic. got me rotating.
im still not over how many crying sprites this guy has - and i also think it's pretty clear when he's fake crying and when he isn't and he certainly was crying for real after the fourth trial.
i think it's very wonderful how emotional he actually is - like, yes, he's logical, smart and he can be cold af. but he also gets happy and sad, he gets devastated and super angry, he gets annoyed and he gets proud. and sure, sometimes he does exaggerate and he lies (a lot) - but i don't think it's all lies. i think he likes to pretend like it is though. and well, what's that one quote... "he wears a mask and his face grows to fit it" or smth like that
and i think that's an important aspect - because no matter how much you tell yourself that it's just a role, a mask - in the end you're still the one doing everything. you are how you act.
and i think kokichis very self aware in this aspect. ch 4 happens and he knows, this isn't something he can come back from. he fucked up beyond repair. and while he did already believe himself to be the villain, and perhaps this was a self fulfilling prophecy of a kind, i think actually having something like basically killing two people on your conscience gives it a whole different weight.
i think he had to confront the reality at this point and i think it made him despair a bit - which then leads to the kamikaze plan. (because why does someone who was just willing to sacrifice two people for his own survival suddenly choose to basically kill himself? and trust someone else to end the game?)
-
i love the hc that kokichi did genuinely derail the whole game! i think it's credible enough too, considering the absolute mess that was chapter 6.
and monokuma sometimes really seemed to have personal beef with him which to me says that he was actually getting pissed at him lol
tsumugi also seemed to be quite wary of him - though you can also interpret that as her setting him up as the antagonist ig. i think it was both.
-
my brain is very honored ♥️
i very much enjoy yours too :D
#i hope my word vomit made sense lol#it's like 3am for me#tbh i personally still believe that kokichi faked his death 🧍#the crux of the argument is that we never saw his corpse and that's like mystery genre 101#no body no death#there's more hints towards it but i kinda forgot some but there's write ups around#but that would also come with a lot of new questions and youd have to recontextualize and stuff

pspsps grace in qsmp au?? (i am enthralled)
Oh shit hello there. Ok so the concept was originally by good ole Tumblr user Frostycola and I've been rotating it in my brain since yesterday. Like it's canon Charlie had a fucked up childhood so I'm just thinking "Man grace was his rock. He loved his silly plant girlfriend" then y'know he ends up stuck on an island with no contact of anyone outside of it. So like imagine being grace in this situation, your boyfriend of a few years who has a track record of being awful at managing stress and coping is missing and no one can contact him. I think she'd get someone to look after her plants (she's taking mochi and fern with her for support) and then goes hunting for Charlie to get him back home. So we get kinda badass grace who's still at heart a plant loving silly gal who'd much rather be at home drinking tea and writing.
And meanwhile Charlie doesn't remember shit about pre island either cause the islands fucked up or the stress is boggling with his memories but he can't remember recent past shit regarding before the island only past things. So he's like "Oh yeah I'm very lonely no one could love me" then in come Family™ and he's like "Oh, I'm lovable,," and he's starting to kinda heal but not in the sense where he's remembering shit just that he's not stressed all the time.
There's a lot more I could get into BUT I want to make it into a fic at some point.
Oh also Grace is a nature sprite of sorts :)

About
•Ajax, they/he
•Professional battler
•Lover of bug types
•From Hoenn, currently live near Fourtree
My Mons
•Current Team:
-Lucario, Loki: Loki was my starter and first Pokémon. He was a riolu back then, a surprise baby from a ditto that was brought in by some rangers. I was already volunteering at the shelter at the time (I was 14) and just fell in love with him, and he was my favorite mon there. After a few weeks of taking care of him and reading up on Riolu, I ended up adopting him and he’s been my best friend ever since.
-Sylveon, Sam: Sam was one of the first Pokémon I caught myself, and he has been on my team ever since. He was the most food motivated eevee I’ve ever met, and that hasn’t changed. He his easily bribed with pokeblocks.
-Banette, Circus: Circus was another shelter mon, but I was already an adult when I got her. She was dumped as a Shuppet and was very unhappy about it, but seemed to get along with Sam. They hadn’t been able to find a forever trainer for her and I had trained a Shuppet in the past, although I ended up passing him to a ghost-type specialist as at the time I didn’t have the space for another team member. She came home with me and I’ve never regretted it.
-Roserade, Angel: Angel is another mon I caught as a young trainer, he was a Roselia at the time. He always needs to know what’s happening and going on, and training him to stay in his ball was a challenge.
-Bisharp, Hecate: I got Hecate from another trainer I met at my first showcase battle outside Hoenn. We both had a love of Bisharp/Pawniard, and it turned out she was from a family of pokemon breeders and her Bisharp had just had some eggs. I had experience with steel types from Loki and so she contacted me when the eggs hatched and were ready to go to homes, and thus I ended up with a tiny little Pawniard.
-Talonflame, Zephyr: I caught Zephyr in Kalos while there for an event, he was a very bold little fletchling who started divebombing me in an attempt to steal my sandwich. He didn’t back off even when I called out Circus to scare him off and I was worried what would happen to him if he did this to others, so I ended up catching him. He didn’t seem to mind. He just kept gunning for the sandwich as soon as I let him out.
•Other Mons:
-Zipper the Yanma: Zipper is a super shy little thing, ont of the first bugs I ever fostered from my local shelter and I just couldn’t send him back. He likes to cling to my back or ride on my head.
-Juniper the Whirlipede: Another rescue, we don’t know how she ended up in Hoenn, but suspect she was released by a trainer. She is incredibly sweet and I had wanted a Venipede since I was a small child so I knew a lot about them, so I took her in.
-Masquerade the Lampet: Masquerade was a Litwick when I caught him in Galar, I’d been wanting another ghost type for a while and Chandelure is a mon I knew would gel well with my battle style. He is training up to join my battle team as a rotating member.
-Gale the Swellow: Gale was a Taillow someone gifted to a friend of mine who loves birds, but they failed to actually talk to her about it first so they didn’t know that she is allergic to feathers… luckily I had the space to take Gale in. My friend still visits her regularly after taking plenty of allergy meds, and they occasionally compete in Cleverness Contests together.
-Sprite the Rhibombee: Sprite latched on to me as a Cutiefly when I was in Alola for a showcase. She refused to leave and wasn’t allowed on the plane home unless she was mine, so I caught her at the airport.
-Krios the Whimsicott: Krios blew into my yard as a Cottonee, and was somewhat battered from a big storm. I am authorized to rehab some types of Pokémon including Grass so I helped get her back to full heath and she has just stuck around since. I eventually ended up officially catching her because She seemed to have no interest in leaving.
-Goomber the Goomy: I acquired Goomber as an egg because I was hoping to raise a Goodra for my team. Though not a poison type, Goomy requires similar handling and as far as dragons go are some of the more laid back and “easier” ones to raise as someone who had not raised a dragon before. However, he has ended up being…. Not the brightest bulb in the box, so he has ended up more of a housemon than a battler.
-Gummi the Wurmple: Some of you may already know how I ended up with Gummi, as I chronicled Juniper’s temporary adoption of an army of Wurmples last year. Gummi is the only one who didn’t leave.

Character Introduction: Vermillion Spamton!
(Most artwork done by me. Assets used to recreate official Deltarune backgrounds/UI were made by Toby Fox and provided by Spriters Resource. Images #13 and #14 contain backgrounds created by FMSDraws as part of ChristmAUs 2021 and ChristmAUs 2022 respectively. At the time of this post, ChristmAUs 2022 has not concluded. I will update the post to link to the final product. Images #15 and #16 are depictions of Vermillion Spamton and Vermillion Spamton V-Type [featuring other au characters belonging to him and me] created by my pal Sombrero Guy.)
Introducing the [BIG SHOT] himself... Vermillion Spamton! (Vermillion Jevil is there too, but he'll get his own post later on)
In all honesty, this is where Vermillion Crystals began. I had developed an emotional attachment to Spamton and thought "hey, wouldn't it be nice to redesign this little guy."
That resulted in Vermillion Spamton. Image #1 was the very first drawing I did of him, and everything kinda spiraled. It wasn't until many months later that I got the idea to expand the AU, thus creating Vermillion Jevil, and renaming the AU from "Vermillion Spamton" to "Vermillion Crystals."
The goal with the AU is to not only redesign the character, but at least somewhat change something about them on a fundamental level. I see the biggest part of Spamton's story to be his perception of freedom alongside his (metaphorical and physical) strings. As a result, he's always held up by strings that stretch into the nothingness of the sky, one string per limb (and head). The V-Type version has many strings on each limb, now also including his torso and the wings. Sidenote, his depictions in ChristmAUs 2021 and 2022 are noncanon to his design. In 2021 I simplified his strings to be connected to a cross brace due to being unable to have the strings go on into infinity. In 2022, there is a Berdly statue as part of the backdrop just above where Spamton and Jevil are located, so the addition of his cross brace would have been too much (especially with how tall he is in the sprite I chose). Vermillion Spamton canonically always has strings, be it V-Type or normal, but it is impossible to see where they come from.
The Spamton V-Type boss fight is somewhat different due to the sectioning of the strings. Each part of his body has its own unique attacks, 2 each (except for the head, with 3) that are done in a predictable rotational order. Snapping all the strings on a given limb will take that limb's attacks out of the rotation, as well as progressing the battle. The boss fight ends similarly to the original Spamton NEO battle, regardless of the ending. If you snap the strings, he's left with his head, has a good time, then the last string snaps. If you beat him up, he tries to go J-Type, but explodes. Both endings lead to the scene in Image #8.
Spamton didn't have his strings while he was just a simple Addison. Those didn't start appearing until after the mysterious caller abandoned him.
While Vermillion Spamton is not the protagonist of the AU, he might as well be the mascot. He's the one Deltarune character I've grown so attached to, and it reflects in how much art I have of him.
I hope you enjoyed. This is most likely going to be the longest character introduction for now. And as always, welcome to the SOUL Intersection.

Chapter 1 Rouxls Kaard is Suspicious - A theory
(NOTE: This was written before Deltarune chapter 2 came out! I had this theory for about a year, but due to switching fandoms before writing the theory in this format I never got around to posting it or showing it in my ask blog. Also this is somewhat rushed since by the time of finishing this post there’s only 30 minutes left.)
A charming aristocrat, a terrible puzzle maker, a shopkeeper.
Rouxls Kaard is definitely an interesting character with lots of contradictions. His opinion on a topic can change in an instant. What are his true intentions? What was he, before he was a duke of puzzles? His face resembles Gaster, does he have anything to do with him? And is he connected to Jevil?
All of these questions will be ー at least partially ー answered here. If the theory ends up being correct
To get to the bottom of this, we need to look at an area none other than the Great Board. Take a look at these screenshots:
--
_
You see, I think Rouxls Kaard may have been the boss of the Great Board.
In order to make this theory more likely, we need more evidence. So, let's do exactly that!
Before we meet Mr. Society and elegance (the two NPC's at the board), we had a puzzle that stated
There are tiles that glow white that, when stepped on, make your screen turn white and teleport you back to the start.
It is well-known that Rouxls can teleport using white light and possesses over a control crown
If Rouxls owns a control crown, he must be able to place such crown on the checker.
As you can see, white light on the checkerboard caused Rouxls’ control crown to fall towards the checker. Furthermore, there are these ponmen who Mr. Society mentions
These ponmen are also used as weapons against Lighteners
And the only time these ponmen appear in the castle at the floor before you meet Rouxls (Rouxls’ first encounter is to the right)
Mr. Elegance and the Puzzlemaster also appear next to each other. The Puzzlemaster uses “We”, and that could imply that they know each other
Now, let us move onto the more mysterious section of this theory, still building off of the screenshots shown above. __
The worm seems to be eating the tree from the mysterious man behind the tree who gives an egg. Presumably the Knight/Gaster (Someone else figured out that EGG in wingdings is ☜︎ ☝︎ ☝︎, which in chess is a move a Knight can make). Rouxls calls the team worms. Heck, he has Rouxlsroux which has worms in it and keeps worms as pets! Having the way of the worm be eating the leaves of the tree of the mysterious man is intriguing.
Now, let us move to this puzzle.
If you try to skip the puzzle, this specific tree will block your path, and it disappears when you solve the puzzle.
Here, you see a ponman in the center. You have to rotate around the ponman
And when you circle around it enough, it seems the leaves of this tree formed some sort of entity, looking at you, and the tree blocking the path disappears.
Let us move to another puzzle
Now, how is this puzzle connected to this theory? Well, in three ways, really. (There is a fourth, but that is at the very end of this theory)
“Only eyes blinded by darkness can see the way” and “The darker it gets, the more you can see” both mean the same thing, just worded differently. Another, stronger evidence, is the fact the same eerie music played at cliffs (Where the eye puzzle is located) as the great board. A third one is that both of these puzzles are perhaps implied to do with Jevil in some way The eyes at the eye puzzle look similar to Jevil’s, and notice the word usage at the later puzzle “Revolve around the center”. Jevil’s theme is The World Revolving. By the way, literally everyone involved in this is suspicious. Mr. Society (helped off-screen), Mr. Elegance, and the Puzzlemaster worked on this door. Very similar to UNDERTALE’s door.
Rouxls’ speech style appeared in the recent UNDERTALE update
The ponmen literally break the fourth wall??
Heck, Rouxls’ teleportation sound is outside the sound folders!
There are two of these in the game’s files
There is one more section to the core of this theory I have to talk about, since time is admittedly running out until chapter 2 is released. I am not sure whether any of this will be true or not, but it’s fun to share! You see, Rouxls is also connected to these forest NPC’s. If you walk around them, these sparkles seem to form around them.
In the game files, these are called Scissor dancers. They make this bell sound (ignore the title of the video) when you interact with them.
I found it quite mysterious that there was a bell sound in this specific place. So I dug a bit deeper and found out that National Geographic has an article about Scissor Dancers!
There wasn’t much on Andean divinities that I could find except they also worshiped the earth. Now, does this connect to Deltarune? Maybe. Here is what it could be about:
The sun are the Lightners, the moon are the Darkners, and while it doesn’t say what the Earth is supposed to represent, it seems important.
These Scissor Dancers seem to be praying for the Lightners, Darkners, and Earth if my conjecture is correct. The thing is, there are also some other mysterious things about these Scissor Dancers. Back in the day, they were called Sons of the Devil, and there was a belief that this dance was a manifestation of Dark Magic. (Could this be a connection to Jevil due to them having a Devilsknife?) Furthermore, they seem to hide their eyes. A big theme in Deltarune.
So, how does this connect to the theory? You see, not only do these Scissor Dancers appear next to Rouxls’ second encounter.
these sparkles are the same.
If you look in the files, you can see these are called Light Fairies (Don’t mind the game looking strange, this is how it’s supposed to look)
If you look at the code when you encounter Rouxls, you see the exact same sprite, but it’s not moving and it’s the original size (The ones around the Scissor Dancers seem to be bigger)
That’s the base of my theory. There may be more intricate details I didn't put here, but writing this was somewhat rushed since the countdown timer is literally shaking and I only got like thirty minutes left lmao. I really want to get this theory on the web before Chapter 2 comes out; I spent too many hours on this theory to let it go to waste-
#Rouxls#Rouxls Kaard#Deltarune#Deltarune chapter 1#Theory#I only have like thirty minutes left before it releases oh god-#I'm so hyped and nervous all at the same time aaaaa

Okay so I had a really weird Deltarune dream last night
So in the dream I was talking to someone about the game because I was planning to write about the game's story for school. They were also a fan and they mentioned to me that a new secret had been found in the game, sort of a Snowgrave-esque alternate path. I decided to check it out on my own via a set of instructions.
So what you had to do is play Ch. 2 with a Dark Candy carried over into your inventory from your Ch. 1 playthrough, I know this isn't possible in the actual game but in the dream a single Dark Candy will carry over if you had any. I don't think it could be done if you simply bought one from Seam in Castle Town but who knows honestly.
So you'd have to keep that Dark Candy in your inventory until the Sweet Cap'n Cakes fight, where you'd have to let Kris be downed. That's where the events of the game diverge, instead of Susie and Ralsei doing the actions upon their own accord they'll have the same conversation but you the player will have to select the S and R-Actions for them from the get-go. Instead of continuing the battle normally, use the battle turn to give Ralsei the Dark Candy. He'll deny it at first, saying he doesn't want it (since Kris is downed is he talking to the Player?) but you only need to command him to eat it a second time for him to accept it. He does so and one of two things will happen. In the dream I performed the same actions twice with no differences in my steps but got these two separate outcomes for reasons I do not know, I was confused even in the dream.
The first outcome has the screen go dark with the other sprites disappearing and Ralsei's sprite moving to the middle of the screen. Sort of reminiscent of Chara's appearance at the end of Undertale's No Mercy route. He'll perform a special eating animation and then his sprite changes, no animation for that I think it just switches abruptly. He turns into this orange guy, sort of knight-ish looking with maybe wings and a tail? Either a classic devil or dragon motif for sure. A name flashes above his head, sadly I cannot remember what it was but I assume that was the name of whoever he turned into. I'm keen to call him Avalon or something like that. He thanks Kris (maybe the Player?) for doing that, his "voice" in this form is much deeper further signifying that he's outright turned into a different person. Maybe this is supposed to be his true form?
The second outcome is practically the same but what happens to Ralsei after he eats the Dark Candy is different. His sprite will start to distort, like different pixels blown up or rotated or something. Not your typical glitch effect, more like Ralsei's body is literally supposed to be shifting like it's made out of goo. He doesn't actually end up changing that much though, he simply ends up in a new outfit. Something similar to what Spamton and Mystery Man wear. He once again thanks Kris/Player, but this time he explicitly thanks them for "freeing" him.
I don't know what happens after either outcome, I stopped playing the game immediately after both tries so I guess the game just shuts down or something. Also, for reasons unknown I was doing all of this on a laptop while sitting in a bathtub and when I finished the bathtub had filled up a bit and some tadpoles were swimming around in the water, both at different stages in development. Dream me assumed that somehow the game did that.

my deltarune theory(ies?)
DISCLAIMER: i am not an actual theorist and i wrote this all from memory! this is taking into consideration the possibility that chara is involved in the making of deltarune (1, 2) as well as other widely believed theories (gaster being involved)
putting a read more because this shit is LONG so buckle up
start with the basics?
something i was thinking about last night is how it’s interesting that we don’t know very much about susie’s home life or her reason for being “the bully.” while there are certainly hints that point to it not being great at all, there’s nothing directly confirming what it’s like.
however something that many people have pointed out is that through the numerous odd similarities deltarune and undertale have, there is the clam girl. for those who don’t know, clam girl is a NPC that you encounter if your game’s fun value is between 80 and 89 and you’re not playing a no mercy route. she talks of her neighbor’s daughter, suzy, and tells frisk that they should become friends with her. but she notes the fact that frisk would have no idea where suzy is yet fate will find a way for them to meet.
in the true pacifist epilogue of undertale with a fun value of 81, clam girl explains that the time frisk (or we, the players) will meet suzy is “fast approaching.” this specific term is yellow in text and her sprite becomes grayscale. then she abruptly vanishes, the noise as she does so being the same noise used for the mystery man and gaster follower 2 sprites when interacting with them. interestingly, her grayscale sprite is “spr_clam_goner”, not much different than goner kid. this dialogue was also added right before the release of deltarune.
so... who is suzy? while it is possible that suzy could just be susie with a different name for undertale’s sake, it’s also possible that suzy could be susie’s sister, likely younger. catty, returning from undertale, has a little sister in deltarune named catti. there isn’t much significance that i could add that would make it likely suzy is susie’s little sister other than this, but i felt it was worth mentioning so do with it what you will.
so... what else?
after interacting with clam girl, if you do the work necessary to access sans’ basement (or “lab”), you’ll be able to find a description of a photo inside one of the drawers that points out there are “three smiling people” with the text “don’t forget” written on it. this has been pointed out several times before due to the fact “don’t forget” is the deltarune song that plays at the end of ch1 (and ch2 although remixed?). if i recall correctly there is no other way of finding this flavor text except for interacting with clam girl. interesting.
lots of people believe that the covered machine in sans’ lab is a time machine. with sans’ many connections to gaster, it’s also possible that this could be a machine gaster made and had broken. it is said to be unfixable.
gaster is confirmed to have created the core. but i don’t believe this is what he fell into. it’s never specified what he fell into, just that it was his creation. so i believe that gaster fell into the time machine. and by taking entry number 17 into account, we are met with the possibility that the time machine might involve a black hole. fortunately for you guys black holes is a special interest of mine, so i can explain this easily.
basically, the anatomy of a black hole, or the structure, consists of the following:
event horizon
singularity
photon sphere
ergosphere
the event horizon of a black hole is the shadowy dark sphere that we see in images. it is a boundary in spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. once having crossed the event horizon, the nature of spacetime begins to deform, causing space’s usual three dimensions (length, width, height) to form only one dimension (movement forward) and time’s usual one dimension (into the future) to form three dimensions (past, present, and future). spacetime is what makes up our reality. remember this. and, as predicted by einstein’s theory of general relativity, mass bends spacetime (imagine our universe as a flat plane, and the mass of our earth causes a dip in the space underneath it), so a black hole’s mass warps spacetime so strongly that any direction you try to go in once having crossed the event horizon will lead you to the singularity. (at least... for a non-rotating, non-charged black hole.)
the singularity is a gravitational singularity, a region that may lie at the center of a black hole wherein the curvature/deformation of spacetime becomes infinite. because all black holes spin (due to their last moments as stars involving very fast rotational speeds), the singularity in a rotating black hole’s mathematics smears out to form a ring singularity (ringularity) that lies in the plane of rotation. in this case (as well as the case of a non-rotating black hole), the region has zero volume. and because of all of the black hole’s mass being held in this region, the singularity can be thought of as having infinite density. within a rotating black hole it is possible to avoid the singularity, and extending this solution as far as possible reveals the hypothetical possibility of exiting the black hole into a different spacetime (region of reality) with the black hole acting as a wormhole.
the photon sphere is a spherical boundary of zero thickness in which photons (elementary, electromagnetic radiation particles, associated with light) that move on tangents (the tangent line to a plane curve at a given point is the straight line that "just touches" the curve at that point) to that sphere would be trapped in a circular orbit about the black hole. while light can still escape from the photon sphere, any light that crosses the photon sphere on an inbound trajectory will be captured by the black hole.
lastly, the ergosphere is a region of spacetime found in rotating black holes in which it is impossible to stand still. basically, it’s like a whirlpool, and any object near the black hole will tend to start moving in the direction of rotation.
okay, so... what does this have to do with entry number 17?
WELL, here’s the dialogue from entry number 17. i’ll bold the key parts that i feel tie the possibility of this being a time machine to the time machine involving a black hole:
ENTRY NUMBER SEVENTEEN DARK DARKER YET DARKER THE DARKNESS KEEPS GROWING THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE THIS NEXT EXPERIMENT SEEMS VERY VERY INTERESTING ... WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK
as you can probably tell by now, it’s possible that this description of growing darkness, no photons, is similar to that of what a black hole is like.
but why would gaster create a black hole as part of a time machine? well, my idea is that he didn’t mean to do so. he likely concentrated enough energy or mass that caused a black hole to accidentally form. this black hole would have been small in diameter, thus having an incredibly short lifespan, its evaporation being violent. this would have broken the machine entirely. however, for the sake of undertale being a video game, it’s understandable why sans (and possibly papyrus or alphys) would be okay and why the machine is still relatively in tact.
it’s unclear to me why gaster would want to make a time machine. because time travel in the sci-fi sense (involving the grandfather paradox) is likely impossible without breaking the fabric of our reality, this could also be explained for why it went so horribly wrong for gaster. and - fun fact - once you cross the event horizon, you are lost to the universe forever. every particle you are made of, every little bit of energy you hold within your existence, is lost to the outside universe. forever. this is called the black hole information paradox. however, realistically, those who are outside of the black hole will still remember you, but in gaster’s sense... i don’t think this is what happened.
it’s possible that gaster managed to avoid the singularity, if the black hole he crossed was rotational. however, because he couldn’t leave the black hole, he could have traveled to different points in spacetime. this is why he was shattered across time and space as his followers describe, because undertale confirms that within its world, this possible existence of a black hole allows for wormholes to exist.
but... but wait. no, no, no. we can’t think of undertale as space-time. why? because sans himself confirms that the continuum of undertale’s reality is a time-space continuum. he puts time before space, which could be intentional and thus swapping their roles. within undertale this means that time is 3-dimensional, explaining the existence of save points and the ability to reset and load. space, on the other hand, is 1-dimensional, meaning you can only ever go one way which is to the end of the game. even if you load previous save files, you’ll still end up finished.
so if gaster was shattered across time and space, it’s possible that he was also shattered beyond. it’s believed that he had some sense of awareness, that he found out he was in a game with multiple different timelines, thus starting his “experiment.” he created the blueprints for the determination extraction machine, and because it’s also widely believed that he and chara were in cahoots with each other, maybe gaster wanted to extract some of chara’s determination and make something for himself. and maybe he succeeded in some way, not by extracting chara’s but by making his own somehow. it’s unknown right now to me. (though if he acquired determination somehow, that would make sense if the mysteryman sprite was him, considering the weird markings or drippy things on his face as well as the general blob-like look.)
so this implies that deltarune’s reality is a time-space continuum as well?
yes. gaster was smart, brilliant even, but it’s likely he didn’t know much beyond the nature of his own reality. when creating deltarune he made the reality of its universe something similar to undertale’s, with 3-dimensional time and 1-dimensional space. if gaster had the determination or something more, enough to persist even as a remnant of a shattered being outside his own reality, then this makes sense as to how he’d be able to create deltarune. if he’s forgotten to everyone within the world of undertale, and (in some abstract way for the sake of kris, jevil, spamton and possibly others) known to nobody in deltarune, yet he created deltarune, he isn’t dead. he’s something else. he’s a god.
and this is why chara is in cahoots with him, even now.
see, chara has determination. they didn’t fall into the underground intentionally; they tripped (1, 2). given these facts and theories it’s likely that chara had determination, or hope, the ability to persevere and keep going no matter what. chara had a red soul like frisk’s, which is what made their essence attach to frisk’s body. that’s why they are tethered to us via name and stats and narration. and as we all know, the red soul symbolizes determination. power.
but while chara is very much their own person, they are still what their name was meant to imply: a character. chara reflects the will of the player; they are not the player theirself, they are their own person, but due to their attachment to frisk (and by extension, us) they act as a mirror for what we do in undertale. and sadly for them, gaster is much more powerful due to his circumstances. gaster is more like us than chara is.
and given deltarune’s theme of nobody’s choices mattering, nobody having any real control over what they do or say, if we take into consideration the fact that chara speaks in the no mercy route about destroying "this" world and "moving onto the next" and asking "when were [we] the one in control", then it’s clear that they have something to do with the theme of deltarune. chara has only ever wanted control, whether that be a good or bad thing is currently out if the question. they wanted control over their own life when they were alive in undertale, and now they want control over other people. anything they feel is a good thing for them to have control over, they will reach for it.
the gonermaker sequence in chapter 1 is abruptly cut off by someone who speaks VERY similarly to chara, in contrast to the person from before who we all agree is gaster (in both japanese and english, it is very chara-esque way of speaking). now, why is this called the gonermaker? my guess is because chara has been discarding all these vessels, making gaster’s experiment much more difficult to start off and get going.
all the gaster followers from undertale, including goner clam girl and goner kid, show up in deltarune. they are fully colored sprites. the only goner character who doesn’t show up in deltarune is the one WE create in chapter 1′s beginning sequence. and i think that’s because they are set up to reappear, at some point in one of deltarune’s future chapters.
so, chara has been discarding all of the vessels, all the followers, all the now-goners because they know that these people will never have control over their lives. as long as they are shallow vessels meant to worship and serve our (the players’) and gaster’s desires (to play a game and experiment, thereby affecting an entire world/universe), they have no autonomy over themselves. and this resonates with chara for a multitude of reasons we can tie back to undertale. they state that "no one can choose who they are in this world," because it’s true. no one can choose who they are. not in a world dominated by gods like us and gaster. and that’s why chara discards these vessels and characters who were probably once their own real persons, as a means of sparing them from what they lacked for theirself: control. and no matter what, even if chara didn’t interrupt, we would have still ended up as kris because again No One Can Choose Who They Are In This World. chara was making gaster’s sick joke plain and simple for us, that it applies to us in some way too.
so then... what’s the deal with spamton and jevil?
well, i think they are people who encountered gaster (this is widely believed anyway) and convinced themselves that they were significant for this knowledge that they are in a game, knowledge gaster told them of, driving them both insane and robbing them of who they were meant to be. and because nobody can choose who they are in deltarune, when they try to break free nothing changes or has a happy outcome, because it’s sadly just not possible to change your fate in deltarune.
this presumably-fact becomes clearer with spamton, though. and that’s why kris becomes so afraid, both at the end of spamton neo’s pacifist battle and his snowgrave battle. because kris can’t choose who they are, either. kris is like spamton, a puppet. a heart on a chain. they don’t have full control over who they are and trying to break free only hurts them more, as we see whenever they tear their soul out of their body and disable our input. but, maybe it’ll be different for kris, because they ARE the protagonist. but right now it feels like they’ve given up on the idea of having control over theirself. the only rebelling they do is work to open a dark fountain, thereby continuing the story of deltarune and, really, only helping us more in terms of playing the game.
and i mean, it’s also obvious that gaster holds influence over kris, too, considering the weird hidden encounters where you interact with something and see a man smiling or waving at you or giving you an egg. and this egg doesn’t change into a ball of trash like every other dark world item once you return to the light world. it stays the same. i can’t really remember the significance of eggs when it comes to gaster other than his whole existence being left as an Easter Egg but i do know that on the date with papyrus in undertale, there’s an egg on the side with the dating hub so, whether that’s there for funny points or lore is unknown, but interesting too.
i also want to say that i don’t think gaster and chara are being pitted against each other in terms of "these are 2 different types of gamers." while that would make sense simplistically, i feel like toby would be much more in depth and nuanced with it, as he usually is with his method of storytelling. because even though chara is kind of god-like, considering their death in undertale and their soul being the same as ours, leading to them being attached to us like some kind of angel (and angels have lots of significance in both undertale and deltarune), they’re still only a character and not at all on the level that gaster is.
i personally think gaster and chara are, on a more hidden level because toby isn’t being very direct at all with these two, meant to represent a different side of the "player vs character" perspective. and that’s something that undertale and deltarune have both tried to convey to us in the no mercy and snowgrave routes, but unfortunately in undertale’s case it was widely misinterpreted in both ways. i think it’s a bit more sensible to go about it this way, because gaster is not us, as in we don’t control him like we can other characters, and the symbolism of what he’s meant to represent is there.
ok, one last question: how did chara access wherever gaster’s in?
that part is still very foggy. i can’t come up with a definite reasoning, but for now i’ll take a wild guess and say that maybe chara grew tired of being a ghost with no real autonomy. maybe they decided they wanted to break free for theirself, and by doing this their essence became detached from frisk’s body (and by extension our control), thus causing them to be shattered similarly to gaster or winding up in the void gaster has. however that happened.
there’s a lot of uncanny resemblance between chara and kris, though, especially if this is the case. chara breaks free and winds up in the void with gaster, and kris realizes that breaking free for theirself may not be all that they think it’s meant to be. given spamton neo and all. aside from the fact that chara and kris look similar, have the same family (though in different universes of course), and strangely both have a sweet tooth, this is especially odd to me.
i can’t quite put it into words, but it feels like, to me at least, chara is very much present in the world of deltarune. and they share similarities with kris that are hard to ignore.
so that’s it, then.
for the most part... yes. a lot of the theories i’ve linked here and there explain things i agree with, so you can read them as you see fit. i especially recommend nochocolate’s posts on chara if you’re interested, such as the ambiguity of freedom in undertale (and, though this was never mentioned in their post, by extension now deltarune).
but. there is one character that seems to be involved in some (or a lot) of this. and that’s papyrus. the only problem is, i can’t figure out what’s going on.
at first glance papyrus is just a very charming guy. but you know, he’s actually a lot more mysterious than sans. he shares similarities to chara and flowey/asriel, and holds weird possible connections to gaster. he’s also the only major character from undertale (aside from asriel) who hasn’t made a physical appearance in deltarune. while checking sans and papyrus’ house will have you met with narration describing “a distant trousle of bones”, it’s worth noting that in chapter 2 it’s described as getting farther and farther away. so... why? is this world’s papyrus just shy, or is there a deeper reason?
again, i can’t tell what’s going on with papyrus, if there even is anything at all. but there’s a lot of weird and mysterious little oddities involving him that i don’t think are unintentional or accidental.
anyways... there. hoo boy. that’s my theory. or theories. i don’t really know. like i said, i’m not a theorist, i don’t know everything and i don’t expect any of this to be true. it’s just what makes sense to me. and it’s important that if you believe this, you also recognize that toby is the creator and he does what he thinks is best when it comes to the story of deltarune and the possible connections it has to undertale (even though toby’s said that the two have no connections, it’s not uncommon for him to be untruthful about things).
if you read all of this... thanks! let me know your thoughts!

*sigh* ..... Nobody’s surprised here lol I require very little enabling.
Here’s part 1 of this lil mafia_au ✨ @lovebillyhargrove 💗
This got out of hand quickly orz but I’ll hold onto this for a later time 🔥
And to answer your question.....yes, I do write smut 😘
Billy made Steve cum four times.
Four.
He couldn’t believe it. Once, standing up in his towel with Billy massaging his groin, and twice more while he opened him up. Steve knew he was pent up, but...this was something else.
Billy yanked the towel to fall to the floor and walked him backward into the bedroom, shedding Steve of his t-shirt. Then he spread Steve wide and licked inside his ass. Steve couldn’t really say if the next orgasm was normal, dry, or just a pleasurable spike from being overwhelmed from Billy’s fingers tickling deeper than he thought possible.
Some lingering brain cell chirped at him and he carefully turned over to start crawling over the bed toward the side drawer. He managed to get his fingertips on the brass handle before Billy laid on top of him, flush with his pants open. Steve’s cock kicked to full eagerness at the sensation of Billy behind him, soft skin and strong muscle.
His arm followed up Steve’s to the drawer, where he withdrew the lube. Steve flushed from embarrassment that he gasped against Billy saying into his hair, “I’ll take care of you.”
Steve could only manage, “Condoms?”
“I’m clean. You?”
Steve blinked, lust making his head heavy until he released his weight onto the mattress. “I think so. I haven’t checked.”
The sound of the bottle cap behind and above him. “We’ll get you checked if you want, baby. Lift your ass for me.”
He sluggishly moved his elbows underneath him to do so, but then his voice escaped with his surprise at Billy hefting his pelvis up. “Breathe for me. Let me hear you.”
Steve let his torso recline like a ramp up to where Billy began to push inside. As much as the stretch made Steve’s jaw intermittently go slack and clench, the little, repeated pushes against his prostate made him see stars. The way Billy pulled him back and pushed inside him with a steadily increasing pace...Steve had never just let go before. Was usually entirely devoted to making sure his partner got everything they wanted and needed.
Billy used him and it felt great. To reach behind him for Billy’s hip when he arrived at the pace that ramped up Steve’s panted whines. The soft moan Billy made when Steve pushed against him with stuttering pulses, so close, so so
Steve’s nails bit into Billy’s hip, silently begging him to stay put as he bucked against him, the two at a clumsy impasse as Billy tried to fuck him through it and Steve’s short thrusts negated his efforts but made wet slaps fill the small room.
“Hahh!” Steve exclaimed when Billy’s arm came around his front and he moved them further up the bed. His other hand pressed into the mattress beside Steve’s head. He loosely held onto Billy’s wrist as the man took his pleasure from Steve. The way he just handled Steve into position...
“What?” he grunted breathily above him when Steve laughed. Something twirled in Steve’s belly at how mutually wrecked he sounded.
“Nothing. I just like this.”
Billy came with two more stuttering thrusts that pushed his hips tightly against Steve’s ass. He didn’t know what to expect afterwards, and he was too fucked out and tired to care much. But Billy landed beside him and rolled Steve over to spoon his backside and feel that silk shirt against his skin.
Maybe ten minutes, maybe an hour later, Steve felt Billy easing his thigh up to slot himself inside again. The angle shoved a gasp right out of him, but where before had been fast, Billy took his time now. Relishing each shiver that his nose and mouth caused behind Steve’s ear and on the side of his neck. The moan he got when he slid his hand down the inside of Steve’s thigh, easing it over his own leg to open Steve up further.
When his hand finally closed around Steve’s erection, Steve’s hand overlapped it, guiding him to what he needed. Billy came first this time, but he stayed inside and pumped Steve to his finish.
His last remotely cognizant thought went into noticing how Billy lifted his covers over their bodies as he slipped into slumber.
He shouldn’t have been able to wake up from the little shuffles and belt tinkering after the sun had risen, but Steve opened his eyes to see Billy adjusting his clothes in his closet door mirror.
“Do a turn.”
Billy perked up and looked back at him. He smiled like he’d been caught at something. “What?”
Steve gazed at him as much as he could from where his face was smushed against the pillow. He twirled a finger in the air. “Do a turn.”
Billy laughed softly, and...that was nice. He looked sweet when he smiled. It made a weight land in Steve’s belly, but a pleasant weight. It was even nicer how he held his arms out and rotated for Steve to see all of him. The silk shirt that was a dark, dark green; made the pink of his cheeks and lips pop. The black slacks around thick thighs...Steve wouldn’t mind having those wrapped around him.
“Gorgeous.”
Billy grinned through another laugh and let his arms fall back to his sides. He approached the bed and Steve’s eyes closed against the hand combing through his hairline. “What’s your shift today?”
“Closing,” he exhaled, his voice light with sleep.
He cooed a sound when Billy kissed his temple. “I’ll see you later.”
He hummed two more sounds like, Oh-kay.
Steve didn’t go to work.
His alarm when off, he stood up, and then fell back into bed while reaching for his phone to call his manager and use one of his sick days. Considering the tip he got last night, he could certainly afford a day off.
Perhaps he shouldn’t have been surprised, come dinner time, that a knock came at the door. Steve hauled his whole comforter with him to the door, where Billy immediately looked him over and stepped inside. “I went to the restaurant to see you. What’s wrong?”
Steve chuckled a little through, “Nothing’s wrong. I just called in sick.”
Billy lifted his gaze from the plush turtle shell around him. “You were fine this morn - ”
“I’m sore, Billy,” he droned and began to shuffle his way back to his room, perfectly content with the blunt look of surprise on the man’s face. For good measure, he sassed, “Coulda left me an ice pack.”
He head Billy shut the door for him and then the same rustle and twinkle he’d heard this morning, only in reverse as he undressed. He put his clothes on the couch until he wore just his briefs and tank top. Steve’s eyes followed him from the bed, because even those were a look. The man couldn’t do anything without a couple hundred dollars on his body.
He brought an ibuprofen and a tall glass of water to the bed. Steve had already taken one, but it had been some hours ago.
“Have you eaten?”
He nodded while gulping water. “Lunch.”
He left the bedroom again and Steve heard him talking on the phone about what sounded like Chinese food. He only paused to lean in and ask, “Steve?”
His bedhead lifted up, just eyes, nose, and hair above his mound of comforter. Billy laughed, “What sides do you want?”
“Crab rangoons,” he returned easily.
When he finished, Billy climbed into bed with, “Come here,” and Steve eased his way onto his chest. He lent some of the comforter over Billy’s legs.
It was nice. Really nice.
By the time the food got there, Steve could sit properly again and Billy respected Steve’s choice in watching Netflix anime on the laptop on the end of the bed.
It was nice. All of it went incredibly well considering Steve didn’t know Billy’s last name. And frankly, he didn’t feel confident enough to ask. Even if Billy filled up every spare minute he had with holding Steve’s body against his chest, pushing Steve’s hair behind his ear, kissing him until Steve didn’t know his own name - even if it was just for a glorious weekend
He was fine with it. Because Steve wanted to be wanted. And Billy unashamedly desired him.
Steve did manage to ask him if the phone number included with his tip was Billy’s. He took the small slip of paper from Steve and wondered, “Who did you think it was from?”
“I didn’t handle your tab,” Steve defended while their legs were tangle together and the room still smelled of sweet and sour sauce. “I didn’t handle anyone’s, and there were like, fifteen people in your party.”
The corner of his mouth lifted in a smirk. “Do you often get numbers tucked in the receipt folder?”
“No,” Steve scoffed while rubbing behind his ear. “I did get a tiny baggie of cocaine once.”
“Someone thought tipping the waiter with blow would be fine? Wow. Did you try it?”
“It could’ve been powdered sugar, for all I knew. I didn’t keep it. I’ll stick to downers like classic THC.”
Billy smiled and Billy laughed. Sometimes he just touched Steve like he was curious, or...checking like he was really there. A finger under his chin. A nose turning into his hair and deeply inhaling. Sometimes he touched Steve’s leg so he looked at him, but when Steve asked what he wanted to say or ask, Billy just shook his head. Like he just wanted Steve’s eyes and attention on him.
Steve really should’ve expected the gifts.
First came the flatscreen television. The men who installed it were generous enough to provide the HDMI cable to connect his laptop to it.
Then came a new internet router.
And Billy started picking Steve up to take him to work. The first time was sweet and a pleasant surprise. Billy drove a luxurious car that looked demure on the outside but boasted upholstery that smelled expensive and the entire dash glowed with neon, indigo lining. He reeled Steve over the center console to kiss him before his shift.
“You’re dating either a criminal, or an heir to something,” Robin declared when Steve met up with her on his day off. Her words were tight due to the sheet mask on both of their faces. Steve folded his up so he could slurp on a Sprite can.
“I haven’t seen any security force, though? Shouldn’t a guy like that have a bouncer with him or a portable secretary everywhere he goes?”
Robin scoffed, “A portable - you mean a personal assistant? I don’t know, probably. Just because you haven’t seen one doesn’t mean he hasn’t got one or six. Make sure he knows I don’t get wet for dinguses.”
“You know, I never needed that,” he grimaced.
What did come as a surprise, though, is that Billy never initiated sex again after that first night. He and Billy kept rather busy schedules despite how often Billy walked into Steve’s life, but he couldn’t help but wonder what Billy’s motivations were. Maybe he just wanted to take it slow for the sake of Steve’s body. Maybe he realized Steve was a sap who could stick around for longer than a week.
He stopped wondering after an accident happened at the restaurant. Steve always did have a talent for landing himself right at the apex of one problem intersecting another problem.
A wine glass fell on the floor - nothing extraordinary - and someone bumped into him as he bent to collect the bigger pieces. His hand caught right on the upright, jagged stem of the glass. Yeah, it hurt like stepping into an oyster bed, but Steve carefully pulled the stem out of his hand and used one of the chef’s gloves over cotton and gauze to finish his shift.
Billy picked him up.
Steve knew what his car looked like now, and clearly Billy wasn’t taking chances on anybody else picking him up -
He leaned on the car as Steve approached, but he stepped off to stride right to him and lifted up his hand by the wrist. Steve’s mouth opened to speak, but no words came. He’d never seen Billy angry before.
The dagger hovered in Steve’s belly.
“What. Happened.”
“It was just an accident,” Steve tried to say, but his voice didn’t fully back him up. Billy’s grip tightened on his wrist. Steve tried again, insisted, “It was an accident, Billy. Someone dropped their glass. It happens all the time. I’m fine. Can we go?”
He couldn’t say what actually made Billy turn around and open the car door for him. But he didn’t take Steve back to his apartment. Or the Emergency Room. Billy didn’t talk during the drive. Steve didn’t know where he was going after Billy parked in a parking garage and he cradled his hand in an elevator that just kept going up.
“My place,” Billy finally said as the doors opened.
Criminal. Definitely a criminal, Steve’s brain declared as he slowly stepped inside the suite that the elevator opened directly into. He left his shoes by the elevator, not daring a speck of dirt on the marble foyer hallway or the carpeting beyond that.
He looked left. He looked right. The suite kept going on either side, like it was meant for a family of eight.
“Come here.”
Steve obeyed and sat on the crushed velvet couch. Billy set a phone down on its receiver. Steve hadn’t heard him say anything into it, but Billy went through a door while he removed his coat. Steve assumed it to be the bedroom. Or a massive closet. He stayed put where he was, petting the couch one way, making the threads look black, and then the other, glistening sapphire blue.
In a matter of minutes, the elevator doors opened again. Steve stood up but Billy reappeared and waved him back down. He was beginning to feel like a trained dog at this point.
“Dr. Owens. Thanks for coming up.”
“Always an obligation, Mr. Hargrove,” came the reply in the foyer.
Hargrove?
“Ah, are you the one?”
Steve’s mouth opened, but what came out was, “There’s only one of me.”
All three of them seemed to be mildly confused and disappointed in that sentence, but they each let it slide. Owens nodded at his bandaged hand. “Would you mind explaining your injury to me?”
He did while Billy sat on the other couch, knees crossed and a hand wandering his mouth. Brooding.
Owens began to look through the case he brought with him. It opened like a makeup kit, with three tiers that opened like stairs with medicine supplies. “I’m going to do some minor injections to numb your hand. Then I’ll need to look around for any lingering glass.”
“What if I’m afraid of needles?”
“You’re going to be more afraid of an infection caused by glass in the hand. If an infection gets entwined far enough with the metacarpals, it’s nearly impossible to clean it out. Hands and feet are the worst places to get injured.”
Steve’s shoulders drooped an inch. “Great.”
He felt and smelled Owens moving an alcohol swab all over his hand, but he otherwise kept his gaze elsewhere during the injections.
Of course he’d have to feel the first two or three.
Billy entered his vision, sitting next to him and curving Steve’s arm around his own, locking Steve to him. Steve’s vision couldn’t quite focus on him. Everything had a blurry edge.
“Lean back.”
The notion didn’t sound great. “I’ll vomit.”
“Then lean into me.”
That proved...more manageable. Billy held firm with Steve’s weight falling into him. He wore a blue shirt today. Just a nice, soft and mundane long-sleeve. He matched the couch. His hair had already grown out past the fade, too. Softly fuzzy against Steve’s face...
“Tell me what happened.”
Steve’s brain didn’t want to cooperate, and with each word he pushed out, confusion intertwined the cogs in his mind. “The...glass. Wine glass. I work in a restaurant - ”
His head lifted to look at him. “You don’t believe me?”
“I want to make sure.”
Steve stared at him. “What? That I can keep a story straight while trying not to pass out or vomit?”
“Keep your hand still,” Owens droned. Steve felt his dull hold on his wrist, and the distantly sharp exploration through his palm.
Billy didn’t respond, and Steve didn’t say anything else until Owens had finished. He rattled a small glass vial, two bloody pieces dancing around in it. “I’ll let you keep these unless you want me to dispose them?”
“I love souvenirs,” Steve remarked.
Owens looked just as pleased to be out of there as Billy looked unhappy at being left alone with Steve. The color had returned to his face while Owens wrapped up his hand, and now Billy paced his living room.
“Am I allowed to leave?” Steve asked the same time Billy said, “Want the tour?”
Billy frowned. “Do you want to?”
With his unharmed hand, Steve rubbed his face. “I don’t actually like staying up until four in the morning.”
Steve didn’t get the tour.
Billy drove him back to his apartment. He didn’t stay, but he said before leaving, “I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
It didn’t occur until Steve’s head was hitting the pillow that he didn’t have work tomorrow. What could Billy possibly be picking him up for?
So Steve made sure he wasn’t home.
Yes, it’s petty.
Yes, Robin called him a moron one the phone while he strolled through the park.
“You’re gonna die because you refused some rich douche bag’s date.”
“I am not going to die,” he refuted. “I’m just going - ”
“To explain why.”
He startled away from Billy walking beside him, causing the pebbles paving the walkway to go flying. “Steve?” Robin said in his ear.
“I’ll call you later.”
Billy didn’t look nearly as lethal as the night before, but he certainly wasn’t strolling through Disney World. “Why weren’t you at your apartment?”
Steve had a tendency to panic when overwhelmed, all right? He’d reached his limit and exploded, “I don’t know! Because you didn’t say why or when? Because I’m not one of your poodles? I’m a person who’s allowed to live their life like - like - normal?”
Billy blinked at him, his brows lifting until he said incredulously, “Poodles?”
“A trained dog! You know what I mean.” Steve waved his injured hand for emphasis and grimaced for it. “You’re suspicious as hell. Don’t think I’ll do anything you ask just because the sex was good - great. Whatever.”
A smirk began to warm Billy’s features. “Poodles.”
Steve’s hair bobbed over his face as he nodded. “Yeah? My aunt had two of ‘em. They were assholes. What are you not getting here?”
Billy laughed a little and, as he stepped close to him, Steve began to wonder if the park was...emptier, than it usually was on a Friday.
“You’re prettier than a poodle. And more disobedient than I ever tolerate, Steve.”
He tried to steel his jaw, but Steve had long since given up adolescent charades of hauteur. He shrugged, “What does that mean? You want your TV and router back? Are you going to sabotage my health insurance if I say no?”
Billy’s eyes lolled under a slow blink. “I’m not revoking your health insurance.”
Steve’s shoes touched Billy’s even though they had the space of the whole park. “Then what are we doing? I’m just some nobody. You’re clearly a somebody.”
“You’re not a nobody to me,” Billy finished, his breath tickling Steve’s lips. “I don’t want to hear you talk about yourself like that again.”
“Bossing me around isn’t going to end well for either of us. Especially if you can’t even believe me when I’m injured at work with an audience to vouch for - ”
Billy kissed him, but it wasn’t a hard, silencing kiss. It was one of Billy’s little touches. His cravings. To touch Steve. To share his air.
Steve’s brows furrowed and a conflicted moan hummed in his throat. His unharmed hand found Billy’s chest, and the latter took it as his cue to lace his fingers behind Steve’s back.
He’d barely broken the kiss before he started to say, “What we’re doing, is going to my car. You’re going to let me taste your dick behind my tinted windows because I’m done being considerate. Then we’ll go back to my place. I’ll give you the tour, and you’ll choose which room we fuck in first.”
Steve’s eyes ached with lust and how long he’d held them open. He gulped dryly. “This was an inconclusive argument.”
Billy smiled and turned them both to continue along out of the park.

This is just.. bad writing imo, but I had to get it out there apparently! Revealing myself as a true mime fu*ker on Main 😂
The startled gasp from the man above you nearly caused your heart to skip a beat. That was the most noise you had ever heard from him entirely. Completely understandable with your lips wrapped around his dick. Tongue lingering over the head, teasingly probing at the slit. You could feel his reactions more than you could hear them. Well expected from the harlequin laying on your bed… Fingers aimlessly bunching at the sheets, tracing over your jaw, gently urging you up to kiss him. You could feel the need for release as it courses through his wiry frame.
~
So much could change in the span of two months, you already found yourself in a different city. In a new world, you were supposed to end up in Pittsburg, but found yourself in the city of Braddock. Surrounded by ruffians and all the folks your parents warned you about. Couldn't they see that they were actually good people. With hearts of gold, “grease monkeys” motorcycle enthusiasts and “Knights” all seemed to congregate into a well formed group. Somehow you found yourself traveling along with an act called the Knightriders--you actually felt like you were moving in the right direction.
Just a small kiss directly against his hip bone causes the mime to slither down. Prying your lips away from his skin as he kisses you deeply--tongue moving effortlessly over your own. He was smitten.
The moment you laid eyes on him your curiosity was piqued. This limber little sprite doing cartwheels across the ‘stage’. Ivory white face, eyes lined with coal--cheekbones that could cut through glass. He was so agile, his footsteps alone seemed to defy gravity. Eyes trained on the rotating bags as he tosses them between his hands.
Whiteface, as he was affectionately called by the group, seemed to take a liking to you from day one. He was one of the first of them you actually saw when you were being bandaged up in that cramped little tent. You were in a wreck, the Ford pickup practically demolished your bike. A senior member of the gang found you on the side of the road. Scrap metal managed to tear through the kevlar, leaving a huge gash across your right shoulder.
As the medicine man stitched you up, the harlequin hovered inches away from his side. Offering tools, dabbing a damp cloth across your forehead--all with a forlorn expression on his face. When you would wince, he began to anxiously wring his hands..pacing circles across the carpet. He perked up instantly once the medic revealed that you would be okay--he opted to stay there with you in case there were any complications during the night.
Engines revved on in the distance, the sound of cheers and steel scraping over metal. You could feel him adjust the covers right before your eyes began to grow heavy.
~
He cupped your cheeks so gently as though you were made of glass-- completely unphased to where your mouth had been moments prior. Long nimble fingers drift beneath the hem of your shirt, silently begging you to take something off. You were having none of it, this was the first time you had him completely alone to yourself-- you were adamant on acting on all of your desires.
He admits defeat after a gentle shove, complacently lying back against the sheets. Your lips drift across the curve of his jaw..along the slender column of his neck. Small rosy teeth marks adorn his chest and torso as new ones bloom across pristine flesh. He was trembling, fingers entwined in your hair as your lips encircle a hardened nipple. Drawing you close, shivering against you and pressing his lips to the top of your head. You hated to admit how much you adored how hypersensitive the mime truly was.
The way he blushed as you removed each article of clothing-- he didn’t have to say a word. The way he leaned into your every touch and menstruation-- practically vibrating beneath your hand. His kisses were brief but earnest, as though he was expecting you to slip away.. He was panting now, heels digging into the bed as you take him fully into your mouth.
You wanted to memorise every moment, perhaps somehow etch it into your brain. Small breathy moans and whimpers managed to slip past his painted lips. You wanted to memorize every moment in fear that he’d simply drift away. His lingering taste was decidedly sweet, you had memories of him standing at the concessions stand. Shoveling fistfulls of carmel corn into his mouth before an act-- you feel a sharp sting across your scalp.
He managed to pry you away from him, grease paint fading across his cheeks. He frantically shakes his head to resemble a “no”. You knew he didn’t truly want you to stop.
“Sweetheart, go ahead…”
He seems almost baffled for a moment before he sinks back against the pillows. Small breathy whines manage to escape his throat, the mime doesn’t make any attempt to stifle them. Becoming more and more animated…he actually sends a pillow flying across the room.
So good. The feel of him at the back of your throat as his heels sink into the bed. With each bob of your the noises intensify… He sits forward, clutching your head to his lap as warmth coats the back of your throat.

Entry 46: Kaden’s a Chief?
Paralogue 10: Hunter and Prey
Selkie, Kaden’s daughter, is chasing a bird when she stumbles out of the Deeprealm. She runs into a weird clown dude named Daichi, capturable of course. He decides to kill Selkie and sell her corpse. Selkie, not realizing she’s in danger, thinks he wants to play with her.
Kaden runs into a ruffian fleeing Selkie for his life and runs in to save his daughter. Much like Shiro’s chapter, we have to run in and talk to Selkie before she kills herself. Fortunately, this one is much easier. Kaden explains what poaches are to his daughter and she plays a new game: hunt the humans.
After the battle Selkie complains about having no more people to kill and joins our army for a fresh supply of victims.
Selkie
Kaden’s sheltered daughter, who has the same understanding of mortality as Pete Holmes’s Batman. Carefree and go lucky and also a violent murderer. Her design is fine, but it’s weird that she has a different fur color than Kaden and something about her face in her default sprite just feels off. Maybe it’s the fact that her face is rotated by her tilting her head. Her personal skill, Playthings, damages enemies near her when she starts her turn.
Support: Kaden/Selkie
C: Selkie asks Kaden about the mountains where he grew up. He says that they were nice. He also mentions that he was the leader of the kitsune, something that somehow was not mentioned when he was recruited or in any other Support I've read.
B: Selkie gets lost while looking for the Kitsune Hamlet.
A: Kaden gives Selkie a flower like the ones in the mountains where he grew up so it'll make Selkie feel like she's there, if only a little. He promises to take her there after the war.
Review: The fact that Kaden was a Kitsune chief is something that could be used for drama and is never mentioned again, in this Support or any other. I haven’t read his Supports with Felicia or Mozu, admittedly, but if it isn’t mentioned in those then the fact that Kaden abandoned his people is never mentioned any other time in all of Birthright. Setting that aside, this Support is incredibly mediocre. Kaden and Selkie aren’t different enough for this Support to work.
Support: Selkie/Mother
C: Selkie comes home from playing covered in her own blood after falling off a cliff. Her mother encourages her to play inside. Selkie suggests playing dress-up.
B: Selkie's mom teaches her how to wear make-up. Selkie decides she wants to wear war paint and look fierce.
A: Selkie says that she likes the war paint and spending time with her mother, but would rather spend all that time playing.
Review: So something I haven’t really touched on too much is how the personality of the mother affects these Supports. In this one, for example, if Rinkah is the mom she says she hates makeup and is the one to suggest war paint, but if Oboro is the mother she’s overjoyed that her daughter is into makeup. It doesn’t affect the plot of the Support at all, but it is something worth noting. In terms of quality, this one is decent. Selkie wanting to look like a fierce monster is fun and the ending is cute.
Support: Corrin/Selkie
C: Selkie decides she wants a cool set of dragon antler horn thingies like Corrin. B: Corrin and Selkie go hunting, but get tired after not finding any deer. A: Selkie decides she wants a unicorn horn. Corrin tells her she's fine with her fox ears and tail. Selkie says it was fun playing with Corrin and decides to go hunting for some fluffy ears to give Corrin.
Review: I’m not sure if I like Selkie. All of her Supports are fine, they’re fun fluff, but I wish there was some depth with her. Kaden already had Supports like this, but at least there were a few where he was portrayed as a surprisingly wise confidant.
Support: Moron/Selkie
C: Corrin pulls Selkie off an already defeated enemy to stop her from brutally tearing him apart. Selkie doesn't understand why what she did was wrong.
B: Corrin finds Selkie eating a bird she just plucked out of the air. No cooking, no removal of feathers, just munching on a random bird. Selkie explains that she used to hunt dozens of birds a day until her father explained to her that she'd make all the birds go extinct. Corrin uses this as a jumping-off point to explain that mercy is good, both morally and because incapacitated enemies can be interrogated.
A: Selkie stops being a brutal killer. S: Selkie tackles Corrin to the ground. Corrin says he loves her because she's cute.
