EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.

But Seriously what can we do for these volunteers? The probable burn out from this entire fiasco would be no joke. @ao3org

Sonic Murder Drones AU Masterlist

AU created by me and @cherbearsz with some other inputs from our friends :]

AU Summary: MDAU follows the same basic plot points as Murder Drones just with the Sonic Cast put in for different characters. Sonic, a worker drone, yearns for freedom outside of the bunker and builds a weapon to take out the disassembly drones that have been terrorizing them for as long as he can remember. Nothing goes according to plan and Sonic ends up becoming friends with one of the disassembly drones, Serial Designation C. Having inherited a rogue piece of code called the Absolute Solver, Sonic together with C and eventually R, need to figure out a way to stop Nine from destroying the planet before the Solver completely takes over Sonic’s body.

I’ve seen things that have left me painfully traumatized. Its made me scared to even open this app. I’ve seen things no one deserves to see. Enough where I won’t even mention what they are

Until the situation is solved I just can’t be part of the fandom atm. I’m already painfully traumatized as is. I have enough going on in life. I don’t need more shit like this

It’s genuinely given me nightmares and taken a toll on my health, since fibromyalgia reacts to stress. What a way to start my thanksgiving break. Just peachy huh?

I’m super sorry to everyone that’s so eager to see more of my content, who want updates, to have asks left unanswered, but I deserve to take care of myself

Hopefully a few days away will make the situation resolve itself on its own. Maybe tumblr will actually do something. Who knows

I was going to joke about how not even AO3 outages can stop this fic, but an AO3 outage did in fact prevent me from posting last night.

Did I use that time to fix all of the obvious flaws in this chapter? No. This chapter is a plague upon my existence, and I wish I had bludgeoned it to death with a baseball bat.

With a wild look on his face, he breathed heavily and argued, “It is a peaceful slavery you have sanctioned!”

“There can be no peace without freedom, and you have sacrificed them both in the name of your tyrannical greed!” Satine screamed as she clenched her fists and stepped towards him.

Vizsla’s face turned an inflamed shade of crimson, and for a moment, he wondered if having Bo-Katan do the honors of silencing Satine for an eternity was worth the wait. The kal in his boot was crying out to be drawn, to carve the breath from her throat against its blade, but he managed to stop himself. It was imperative that his plan be followed as he had intended, and he would not give in to his base instincts.

The former Duchess of Mandalore would die soon enough.

For now, she was livid like a diseased animal trapped within a cage, and he took pleasure in knowing that her diplomacy was disappearing as her humanity was stripped from her.

She would waste away in here, driven mad by the isolation and tortured by the knowledge that she could do nothing to stop him; and if she somehow proved to have a stronger constitution than he believed, he was certain that witnessing her sister murder her son would push her over the edge.

I feel SO OLD. A fanfic I'm subscribed to just updated (it's been a long time) and I saw the email, went through the stages of 1. What is it 2. Do I recognise it 3. Is it REALLY that fic 4. It Cannot Actually Be True 5. HOLY SHIT!!!

I wanted to read it immediately and drop everything I'm doing but then. I hesitated. Do I need to read it now or can it wait until I have a glass of wine in my hands and emotional capacity to leave a long, thoughtful comment (as opposed to wordless screaming and exclamation marks)?

... it can wait.
