Hey! If you'd be open to it, I was interested in hearing your thoughts on any Failtopia pairings that you particularly enjoy and the reasons you do? Whether they be platonic or romantic-
YESSSS I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO YAP ABOUT CHARACTER INTERACTIONS YWUAJSJEJJEJR!!! OKAY!! So idk how put together this is since there is a mix of my typing when I’m super tired + typing when I just woke up so I’m praying that what I’m saying makes sense LMAO. TLDR: I really like failtopia’s characters
So starting off with what is probably the most popular dynamic in this series: Bo and Erica!! To say they’ve both Gone Through It is an understatement, and them both finding comfort and safety in each other is amazing to me!! Like. Erica’s had so many people die on her and the reaction to finding out that was nearly impossible to lose Bo was just. Flawless. Can’t believe Dan improvised that. And Bo was sent to just kill Mar and work for Screamith but Erica was pretty much the start to her letting her true self shine and developing an actual attachment to The Incident!! It’s so awesome how Dan has wrote them. we love our gay level 6 “friendship” girlbosses ‼️‼️
Mar and Orion have also gone through a handful of things before the series begins, and the relationship they develop as the series progresses is pretty dang interesting! as much as the fandom focus on EriBo as a romantic thing, more people need to talk about how Mar has explicitly shown he has a crush on Orion. MULTIPLE TIMES. The idea of Orion opening up to Mar after he lost his wife and Mar opening up to Orion after his time as the Dark Curse and AGGHH I love these two so much and the way they interact every time they’re on screen is amazing. old man yaoi
I imagine C!Failboat and Erica as exes. like they dated for like a week and were both mutually like “that was awful let’s just stay friends”, They had a bunch of small interactions together (especially in S1) and I like them being friendly towards each other, Erica finding a friend in C!Fail was a pretty good step for her arc! I also think the idea of C!Fail and Erica being childhood friends in non-Miitopia AUs very intriguing!! Any content of those two interacting (that isn’t romantic) is always a nice thing to see!
Taking a break from the more popular relationships/friendships in this series, we have Deko and Joker!! For two characters that barely interact in canon there’s a lot you can do with them! They’re just two anime boys trying to survive in this weird party. I have a lot of thoughts on them but I just can’t form it aghahajsjjs but the main one is that they aren’t alone in what they’re going through, and no matter what backstory you use for Joker it still has a lot of potential!! I’m sure people can explain this one better than I can I just really like this rarepair!! while on the topic of Joker, shoutouts to his friendship with Lanc!! You can’t convince me Joker didn’t have a crush on them. Just watch their interactions in Karkaton and you’ll probably get what I mean lmaoo
I just need to mention the sisters!! even if they aren’t sisters by blood, Chi and Erica both have the energy! Chi being the thing that really gets Erica out of her “I hate everything” phase in both seasons needs to be talked about more. They bring out the best in each other I swear,, again I promise I can talk about them more my brain just isn’t giving me the words rn, but I think Gnome explains it best!
While on sibling dynamics, Bill and Shrimp is so great to me. Like. Bill helping Shrimp out not only because he likes her music, but also out of the genuine kindness of his heart is so sweet to me!! They’re so nice every time they’re on screen together and it’s fun to see them battling by each other’s sides!! plus the matching outfits in the finale was also a great touch :]
I’ve mentioned these two before, but Bill and Chi are criminally underrated imo. Like. They’re the only members of the Incident who have just recently turned 18, Chi’s literally Bill’s mentor after he changed jobs, and their dynamic is just so fun to work with!! Bill’s more mature and ‘normal’ while Chi is Chi and will set things on fire For Science and I think scenarios where they’re together are really fun to come up with!! Same with Shrimp and Chi!! The sister dynamic they have is also super underrated, like they’re a Fire and Water duo!! I think there’s a lot of things you can do there :0
look I am more than aware these two have never interacted but that’s cuz Dan is a COWARD and knows that Bo and Lanc being in the same room would lead to so much mayhem lmaoo. Out of everyone in The Incident (apart from Chi obviously) I see Lanc getting along with Bo the best! a lot of stuff I have for them is pretty based on fanon but you can’t tell me they wouldn’t gossip about the lastest drama with the party and the outside world. I swear they’re besties, they relate to each other, just hear me out. I also think Rose and Bo can be great friends and they really have a LOT in common!! Princess who faked their whole identity gang ‼️‼️
I love Erica and Rose just being each other’s biggest hater, it’s my favorite thing ever. it’s canon that Rose only shows off for Erica to prove to her that she’s better than her and that’s amazing to me. They’re both just so done with each other lmaoo (also the headcanon of them each other’s gay awakenings is perfect)
I think Friend and Mar interactions could be cool!! Like for starters they had some pretty huge connections to Hank they could bond over. also I find Mar being canonically a demon mixed with the headcanon of Friend being an angel very fun!! I also think Friend and Erica could be fun to see, especially with Erica’s past as a Cleric!! shared jobs and trauma!!
Mar and literally any FailFleet member can be funny I think, like we already have the Neksdor Three obviously, but I think an ACTUAL Bob and Mar reunion will lead to someone getting beat up lol, everyone in the S1 Squad would all have very different view points on if Mar deserves to be forgiven or not, or if he’s a good leader, etc. and I think that there should be more done with that!!
Orion’s friendship with the rest of The Incident is also a very important part of why the party is the way it is!! There’s absolutely characters with awful relationships to their dads, fathers that are barely around, or just never had a parental figure at all. I LOVE that Orion was able to fill that void for those party members, and he does a damn good job at it too!! And of course the parallels he has with Erica is great, both are stubborn warriors with a lot of baggage, but also have a lot of differences, like their views on stuff like becoming a healer!! Orion being like a mentor to Erica is great. also shoutouts to Slapo, we love her. I think her interacting with other members of The Incident is also something that’s needed more!!
Speaking of fathers, scenes with Chat and C!Fail are downright hilarious! Chat’s insanity mixed with C!Fail’s attitude always leads to some crazy thing going down! Chat with anyone really is always a treat, since they’re way more than too much to handle most of the time, and seeing how everyone reacts to their shenanigans is always gonna be fun!!
Smuk, Rose, and Bob’s relationship is just perfection. Bob obviously crushing on Rose is so great to see when they have scenes together and Smuk basically proposing to Rose (but not really) with that ring is also cool!! And of course we gotta mention Smuk and Bob’s bromance in Greenhorne, those two were inseparable a lot of the time I swear, I love them a lot, I’m praying if we get S3 we have those three come back (along with Petunyawn)
Deko’s friendship with both Chi and Lanc is vital to his arc!! Similar to Erica, he had gone through quite a lot before S1 and traveling with them got him to warm up to them and helped him get better control of his powers!! Lanc and Chi being absolute goofsters while Deko has no energy is VERY amusing!! also Deko, someone who was experimented on, being paired up with two soon-to-be scientists is vile lmaoo, why do you do this Dan /pos
SPEAKING OF THOSE SCIENTISTS!! If you thought I wasn’t gonna bring up Lanchi at all then you’re wrong. These two. These two are my everything. They’re undoubtedly my OTP!! There is quite a handful of canon evidence (in both seasons!) that point to Something going on between them!! I’d list them all out rn, but imma save that for another time, so I’ll just stick to saying everything I like about them!! The way Lanc and Chi just bounce off each other is insane. I swear they can read each other’s minds sometimes, they actually just share a braincell!! Lanc being all nervous in the Finale and Chi comforting them,, and ofc Chi being inspired by Lanc to switch jobs in S2 is just GAHAJJJJW I LOVE THEM!! They’ve been living rent free in my head since 2021 and I can’t get them out even if I tried!! EVERY SINGLE INTERACTION they have can be read as romantic. I refuse to believe they’re just friends lmaoo

♡ Helloo, I saw that your requests are open, so can I request being the wife of Jouno [: ? Just Hcs and if you want a scenario (or sth else)
I'm gonna leave the rest up to you, I hope you have fun writing it and Thank you ^^
ugh i absolutely love jouno😻 he's so underrated, and i think this trope is adorable ♥︎ i added some spicy stuff oops

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ pairing: jouno x wife!reader
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ genre: fluff + suggestive (sex mentions)
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ content warnings: some nsfw content in the last section; read at your own discretion
Tumblr media
𓊆ྀི❤︎𓊇ྀི in general...
Husband!Jouno is the definition of "when he hates everyone but you". He only shows his soft side to you.
Gifted you a matching red rope earring with a bell that you wear on the opposite ear ♥︎
Despite making fun of and degrading literally everyone on the daily, Jouno craves your praise to the point where he'll get needy and start begging for reassurance lol.
Gets sassy during arguments/when you haven't given him enough praise and will use his ability to dissipate into thin air every time you get close to him until you eventually cave in and apologize/compliment him XD
Since he still needs to fulfill his evil urges but doesn't want to offend you, he resorts to teasing and excessive flirting. Won't give you any peace bc he picks up on every reaction.
Bc he’s constantly snarky and rude to others, his love language is words of affirmation since he saves his kindness for you.
𓊆ྀི❤︎𓊇ྀི relationship dynamics
Extremely protective & possessive: whenever you're both in public, he always has an arm wrapped around you or on your shoulder; whenever passerbys ogle you or try to signal dirty things to you (they usually try stuff bc they notice that Jouno's blind), he always calls them out menacingly, threatening them enough to send them running away in fear.
Becomes your primary provider, basically making you a housewife lol. He would justify you not working/make you work from home bc he wants to keep you safe from people targeting him for being a Hunting Dog/ex-criminal executive.
When he's stressed after a busy day of mocking tecchou work, the first thing he does when he comes home is cuddle with you and listen to your heartbeat...it's basically like his white noise/comfort sound :,(
Basically your entire presence comforts him, probably lowkey develops attachment issues like a needy kitten hehe
Not much privacy between you two bc of his Super Senses™. He knows your heartbeat and "default" body settings (breathing patterns, fidgets, etc.) better than his own.
Because of this, he always wins arguments or gets the last word...
"Hmmph. I'm not mad"
"Yeah? Wanna explain why your heartbeat got faster then? Or why you exhaled loudly?"
"..."
"Ur mad :p"
You guys probably listen to ASMR together lol
Never strays too far from you and always is wrapped around you: hugging you from behind + resting his chin on your shoulder/kissing your neck whenever you're cooking or shopping for groceries.
Brings your home-cooked meals to work everyday (they're his fav food) and brags about how good his wife's food is (especially to Tecchou)
"An unrefined idiot like you would never understand the luxury of a wife's--what the hell, Tecchou? Are you putting chocolate syrup on your sushi?"
Since he’s blind, most of his compliments are about your personality and actions. He goes crazy from your signature perfume and prefers when you wear soft clothes (they’re the best for cuddling).
Occasionally, he’ll comment on how beautiful you are, even though he can’t actually see you. Whenever you mention that, he responds that he “just knows it’s true”. Otherwise, I think he would give you cheesy compliments about how you have “a beautiful aura” and stuff like that lol.
Husband!Jouno’s the type to easily become a yandere…
𓊆ྀི❤︎𓊇ྀི spicy 🤫
Husband!Jouno is a big fan of phone sex since he's needy and can't stand being away from you or not hearing your voice.
Likes eating you out/fingering you bc he can hear the heartbeat down there.
Forces you to not hide your voice, but doesn't actually care since he can still clearly hear your muffled moans.
An expert at dirty talk and won't shut up during sexy time...hopefully you have a praise/degrading kink...
Even though he mostly stays gentle with you, I think he still has a bit of a dacryphilia kink and is into impact play + rough sex bc of his past personality (。-∀-)
𓊆ྀི❤︎𓊇ྀི fluffy vignette ♥︎
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"...."
Jouno already knew who was aggressively pounding on his office door. The two biggest idiots in the Hunting Dogs: Teruko and Tecchou. He scrunched his nose as a foul odor from behind the door crept up on him. Whatever it was, he wanted it gone. He had a plan: pretend he wasn't there until they lef--
"Oi, Jouno, we know you're in there! Open up, Damn it! Your captain's commanding you!" Teruko demanded in her usual high-pitched squeaky voice, now banging on the door. Still in line with his original plan, Jouno only remained silent since the last thing he wanted was to let the two smelly intruders into his clean, precious space.
"Captain, maybe he's not in there. It is almost lunch time, so he--" Tecchou started.
"Shut up! We already checked the break room, so--" Teruko suddenly went silent as her hand passed over the door knob, "Hey, it's unlocked..." Jouno winced as he heard her twist the knob and storm in along with Tecchou--not reacting fast enough to use his ability and escape the scene. He cringed as the smell assualted his senses; it was one that was too familiar--Captain Fukuchi's vomit. He impulsively plugged his nose as his face twisted. "See, Techhou, told'ya he was in here. What do have to say for yourself, huh, Jouno?"
Jouno only turned away disgustedly. "I didn't open the door for a reason, Captain. Some of us value hygiene around here. Plus you two stink--unless you're here for a reason, disrespectfully, leave." Jouno coughed dramatically, "I'm about to pass out."
Shock crossed Teruko and Tecchou's faces from the blatant rudeness, and before his hot-headed senior could go off on Jouno for 'disrespecting his elders', Tecchou butted in. "The captain threw up after drinking too much again, so we tried to clean it up since he has a meeting in an hour, but the smell won't go away, even though we tried everything." He clenched his fists sadly, "I even put flowers all over the pile on it to cover up the smell...I guess they died for nothing..."
Flowers? Over a pile of vomit? Now Jouno didn't know if he was going to pass out from the stench or the idiocy of his coworkers. Teruko sighed deeply, "After that, I tried using air freshener, but that made it smell worse somehow...Anyways, we were going to ask you if you knew where the bleach is."
"You two...Did you both lose all your braincells?" Jouno couldn't be more disappointed in everyone, starting with his raging alcoholic of a captain. Next, he turned to Tecchou, "What kind of moron uses flowers for cleaning? We're the Hunting Dogs, not the Hunting Fairies" He sighed as he felt a migraine forming, "God, I wish you would just di--" Jouno paused when he heard a familiar chime in the distance. Once he had confirmed a special someone's footsteps, he took off running, yelling to "call the janitors" and leaving the two confused behind him.
You sighed as you walked into the break room, bowing politely to thank the security guard for leading you there. You placed the lunchbox down on a table and held your face in embarrassment. You'd unknowingly slept in this morning and didn't have enough time to make or pack Jouno's lunch. It'd become an unspoken norm between the two of you to wake up at the same time, and you would cook a meal and stock up Jouno's work snacks while he got ready. Even though he never asked you to do it before, it became a habit after you'd gotten married. He'd always tease you about your "cute little housewife tendencies" like he wasn't the one who'd secretly made you into one. You were just about to call him to say you were there until you felt a strong pair of arms swiftly wrap around you.
"I missed you~" Your husband expressed, pulling you into a chair and seating you on his lap. You yelped as he buried his head into your chest and inhaled your scent. He adored the scent of your favorite perfume and the way you smelled like your shared home--like his. Jouno groaned as he drowned out the world listening to your heartbeat and you both shared an intimate moment of silence.
Smiling to yourself, you ran your fingers through his soft white hair as he pulled you closer. It was clear that he was stressed. "What's wrong, dear?" You asked, massaging his temples.
You giggled as he explained the situation and rubbed his shoulders. "Ah, I see. That sounds like something those two would do..." You looked down to the original reason you came, "Oh, right! I brought your lunch--it's your favorite," you paused, "Sorry for sleeping in today...You should've said something to wake me up..."
Jouno finally dug his head out of your chest to look up at you. "Oh, about that, I didn't wake you up on purpose. Your breathing was just so peaceful that I didn't want to disturb you..." You pursed your lips at that. "Besides, I knew you'd come to visit me at work! It's a win-win situation in the end!" You blushed at your husband's teasing; he'd won another one of his silly games yet again.
"Jeez...just wake me up next time...Anyways, I bought you some strawberry cake since there's a bakery close to the headquarters! Think of it as a thanks for all your hard work!" You perked, kissing his forehead lightly. It definitely wasn't meant to be an apology cake or bought because you were craving sweets.
"Yeah?" Jouno smirked, reveling in your praise. He caressed your sides, "My hard work, huh? What else about me are you thankful for?" You pouted as you realized you'd just been caught in a compliment trap--how gullible you were. It didn't help that Jouno was looking up straight at you and kneading your soft skin over your long dress.
Blushing, you started, "I'm thankful that you take care of me and our home. You're the bust cuddle partner...You have pretty hair and a nice voice, you're strong and..." You were about to continue until you looked to see Jouno's flushed face, he nuzzled into your chest again, muttering "I love you" lowly.
You beamed at the precious sight and lifted your husband's face up to yours. "I love you too, Jouno, so much." You brought your lips to his and kissed him sweetly, your red nails tugging softly on his hair and drawing quiet groans from him. He passionately kissed you back, hugging you tightly and angling your face to deepen the kiss, noting the way your heartbeat got faster and how your muscles relaxed in ease.
You pulled away suddenly after hearing koncks on the door, much to Jouno's disappointment. "It's just the janitor, we can still--"
"It's fine," You sighed, gently getting up from his lap and fixing your dress, "I'm meeting with some friends soon, so I should get going. You've got stuff to get back to, too. The world still needs saving!" Jouno pouted at that, missing your warmth on him and the sound of your pulse in his ears. "I'll see you at home, then. Keep up the good work!" You jokingly patted his head and turned away towards the door before he quickly grabbed the lunchbox and took your hand. He didn't want you to leave him just yet.
"W-wait, I'll walk you out. This place is big, so you might get lost. Security might not let you out since they won't recognize you. And there might be someone suspicious outsi--"
You giggled at his rambling, "Okay, I get it. Let's go~" You pulled him along and he wrapped his arm around your waist to lead you to the exit. He couldn't believe how utterly whipped he'd become for you, his beloved wife. His cheeks were red like the tips of his hair as he held your face and kissed you goodbye, watching as you drove away.
While the world knew Jouno as a sadistic ex-criminal fighting for justice, only you knew his soft side as a devoted and loving husband that would do anything for his pretty wife ♥︎

the teen show genre is back. that it had announced it’s grand return at such a time of deep uncertainty and unimaginable loss, especially for an entire generation of teenagers, is relief, respite, and a necessary and urgent gain. there is nothing but gratitude for this...for its intended audience and for those of us who will live vicariously through the lives of the kids, for those of us who will watch, and walk with the kids. for someone like me who longs to feel strongly about a story enough to write again.
despite my ‘desperate begging’ for the return of the youth oriented show. i did not picture this. in my defense, i did not know about this story at all. now, when i did learn the gist of the story, i did not expect much. it is, after all, a trope we’ve repeatedly seen in practically every language. in my defense, again, i would have found this show, and watched it anyway, in support of the network, probably be mildly entertained, slightly amused, and successfully distracted. and that would have been enough. i was bound to find this show, though during a deep dive into the youtube rabbit hole, chancing upon a japanese doll and an american cutie, realizing the creative team for this show is that creative team. my favorite creative team. i was sold.
i knew i was going to love this show enough to write. the question is, how? do i live tweet, take notes, and write a post for every episode, or do i live tweet take notes, listen, take notes and write one big post at the end of the series? judging by how much detail i know this team puts into a story in the form of metaphors, seeds, pay offs, connection and clues, clearly obvious in this first episode alone, this calls for an episodic post, for the peace of my own nerdy, detailed obsessed mind.
it is worth repeating that i haven’t read the book. this focuses on the series alone. no references, no comparison to its source material.
and it begins. oddly so.
first, a note on the casting: my attachment to a show is dependent on my attachment to the cast of the show. i spent the weeks and months leading up the pilot episode learning as much as i can about this refreshing cast of newbies. i’d been watching rise since it began, and so it wasn’t difficult to develop a soft spot for the five rise kids who are part of the show. as for the rest of the cast, their interviews and streams are all surprisingly impressive. i always like to say ‘walang patapon sa mga batang ito.’ none at all. they are all so special that i am in awe of how many gifted children are in one batch at one time, in time for a show like this. the teen show slot was vacant because it was waiting for these specific kids.
everyone who was given moments on this episode made the most of their moments. episode one’s surprises were criza, who is a natural. i am just grateful naih was able to use all of criza’s kulit energy. gelo, i’ve known is funny, but it wasn’t until i saw him in character that i realized just how hysterical he is. i enjoyed his interaction with ysay, i am wondering if there is more of that. v no longer surprises. i find that she is incredibly underrated still. i love that girl. fictional life sometimes clouds my judgement, ever so slightly, but these mean girls, are the mean girls i would cheer for. i’ve just been enjoying the girls’ junket interviews so much that it is also a joy to watch them in character. aimee is spunky, sophie is incredibly poised. khloe is a joy to watch, and ash just fits in, dalia...i have never seen a girl with such strong presence and beauty since hopie. i have never enjoyed watching a local queen bee as much as i feel i would enjoy, and hate to watch kim. dalia is amusing to watch too, so there’s that. joao, you know i have always found reliable and competent. limer, i am just happy an actor like him is in a show as big as this. kaorys is my in on this show. they are favorites. i adore them. she registers well on camera, and rhys is music to my ears, and has such an animated, expressive face. i cannot wait to watch their subplot and write about them in detail. i am attached to these kids. i know they are going to be a joy to watch.
melizza, melizza deserves her own paragraph. i first paid attention to when she was answering those miss universe questions on rise, and my jaw literally dripped at how intelligent she is. that intelligence shines through in her portrayal of elle. she is self-aware, and aware of her co-stars in a scene. she is conscious of where she is in a scene. she does she is a realiable actress in that there is no fear that she will break character it doesn’t have to be her scene, but i cannot help but watch her. she isn’t a scene stealer, but she is always acting, always reacting. she gets the assignment: from speaking french to playing a nuanced mean girl whose meanness, is as she understands and plays elle, stems from fear, from being threatened. i actually love that. there is no real villain in this story, just kids navigating unfamiliar, ugly, strange feelings, with limited ways to express these feelings. melizza gets it. i said i am a melizza fan now. i mean it.
donny and belle individually: i had known of donny, watched him long enough to know him, and who his family is. since he started mostly on social media, this ate didn’t quite get the appeal. no offense, it’s just a generational thing. haha! when he started acting, he was like most greenhorns to me, appeal understandable, charming to an extent, but with still so much to learn. i missed his last acting stint before this show. i did not watch jpd.
belle is a going bulilit alum. that’s all i really need to know to trust the casting. i wasn’t a fan yet. i had no clue about the story so i did not know just how much weight the character carried, but by virtue of the fact that she’s been acting the longest out of the ensemble, i knew she knew what she would be doing. i knew the management knew what they were doing when they casted her. belle as the focal point of the story lends such an air of confidence that the story will be told well and that the necessary intimacies will be handled with care. belle’s ability to transform would make max’s arc effective. i did not watch jpd. i had heard about it.i had heard it was surprise. ‘the ending part...’ it was all too familiar: lizquen, circa 2012, must be love: ‘the ending...’
it was completely blind, complete trust.
their casting made me momentarily forget that there were multiple rounds of auditions, from which the each of the cast were carefully picked. it just seemed so random, that is, in context of say, kaori and rhys that could count kuya’s house as part of their shared history. so much of my acceptance of this new pairing depended on how much i trusted the team, and how i knew they worked. i then consumed any and all donbelle content i could find, which, at that time was painfully lacking. imagine the excitement when that first general assembly officially kicked off the hih junket, from then on, they started to grow on me.
these are two calm, cool, collected kids, with a kulit side for sure, but they both take their sweet time. there is a formality and wide open space that was begging to be bridged with these two. there were times i would will myself to see it.  theirs isn’t an instant explosion of chemistry, but a sustained afterglow. once that was clear, the goal of sustaining this partnership for however long, how many other stories they can tell together, also became clearer.
it was the tv patrol interview by the lockers that had me sold. it was him joking that they were already married with three kids. it was the way he looked at her in that interview, the way he still does, with donbelle, it’s all the little, quiet things. i don’t know how to explain it, but if they were to jump into the emotional deep end together, i have no fear.
now, back to the beginning which i thought was strange. a recap of what i imagine is the entire first season, artistic as it may be, is one huge spoiler. i realized, this is based on a book. those who’ve read it obviously know what’s going to happen. such opening is meant to set the mood. it’s an invitation to emotionally invest. it’s safe to say, it accomplished those two goals, but i feel as though there is more to that opening. as someone who is clueless about the source material, it reassures that it doesn’t matter what we know, or don’t know, because this is less a story of ‘what?’ and more a story of ‘whys?’ and ‘hows?’this takes me back to the first general assembly when comparisons to the meteor garden, boys over flowers were brought up. i understand the comparisons, but now that the first episode has aired, i feel so strongly against it.
this introductory montage is proof that it is not about the pieces of the story, but how the pieces are moved around to tell a story, to give us a fresh new perspective of a trope, starring stereotypical characters. the story is told in retrospect, with our lead looking back, taking all the pieces of the whole apart, rather than building the story as she goes along (which is incidentally how i like to take in stories).
the introductory montage is a device that allows a more expanded storytelling. the story is told from max’s point of view. it’s a story of how she sees things, this makes her an unreliable narrator due to her blind spots and clouded judgement. as the story goes along, the audience sees that it is not only max’s story, it is deib’s as well, and the rest of the characters’ stories, max only sees the bigger picture in retrospect. because i am such a nerd, imagine my kilig when i realize why that choice for an opening was made? i may have screamed.
notes, questions, favorite moments.
belle’s ‘sigurado,’ the first 4-5 notes of the hooked sprinkled throughout the episode.
on the road: the transition from max on the trike and deib, in his car rushing through a countryside road, if that was clean editing, i’d celebrate it...that the two people were on the same road at the same time travelling different directions is the most clever storytelling moment thus far. i love when seeds are planted and pay offs are grand. it was hardly a meet cute, but it was some intense head on collision. okay, i got it just then, the accident was a literal representation of their metaphorical colliding. it was a lot of things for her: irritation, wonder, disturbance, fascination, disruption. it was a complicated mix for him too, except clouded by the rush of having to be somewhere else other than that moment. charged. electric. spark. lightning that escaped him. (yup. more on that later).
this encounter begs the question: what was deib doing there? why was he in a rush?
the airport scene: ‘hinihintay ka na ng kapalaran mo.’ a beautiful verbal sign of things to come.
meeting daddy: it’s what uncertainty does to max that i find so disarming her fidgeting the heart shaped pendant close to her chest, summoning said heart for strength, and grace, counting on the assurance of its familiarity.
the car conversation with dad: still disarming. charming. curious. that the necklace from which hangs her heart shaped confidante was actually her dad’s gift to her mom. how heartwarming is the thought that the one thing that makes her feel close to her mom is actually from her dad who she is meeting for what i assume is the first time? i think it’s a beautiful irony.
the dinner table scene. the family dynamic it established. elle’s french, max wrestling with the chopsticks on the side.
sleepless max. her hidden vulnerability, and with whom that vulnerability finds comfort. who is babu?
max’s fist at the school entrance, and elle calling her out on it.
the cafeteria scene, and how that whole moment is the selling point of the story - brave max who does not care for the social rules of her new school standing up to the bully who happens to look the way he does. i won’t say she’s unaffected, but at that point  her view is clouded with the injustice she just witnessed, that is until they recognize each other. as a side note: ysay and lorde’s interaction made me smile.
the aftermath. max has now caught the attention of the whole school, she has caught the attention of the mean girls so much so that walking down the halls is social suicide. when aimee confronted her, (sophie did so well!) my eyes looked for elle’s eyes. there were layers upon layers of emotion there: shame, hesitation, confusion, fear, maybe anger, there was a flash of her wanting to connect too, or did i just imagine it?
the gym scene with all the boys. it’s probably my favorite...not really, but it’s the scene that gave me so much, the scene that proved to me that this is more than just a simple, one dimensional teen show. this one moment spawned so many fan theories online that i have yet to read. it’s interesting when we cross that bridge, but to me for now, it is from this point up to the debate that kind of turned the tables, and gave the story a sudden depth that’s unexpected. it made the audience pay attention to deib as well, that this is as much his story too. and on the aspect of change, in one interview (i can’t remember which one), i remember belle describing max as someone who wants to change the people around her, and through that, she is changed as well. i did not understand what she meant at that time, until this. and the debate.
the debate: i just love the debate, simply because i love words, but long-winded dialogue like that is risky especially on a show like this. i loved it. i loved the rhythm, poetry, and point of it. i love how layered it is. i loved how comfortable was delivering his lines. i did not cringe, which just means he has gotten better at this whole acting thing, and it’s always a joy to watch someone breakthrough. this moment was necessary as a springboard to the next scene, to show that the rivalry isn’t just a physical one, but a rivalry of the minds too. (i enjoyed that that was pointed out in one of the kumu lives)  this is also one of the scenes that proved what the introductory montage was trying to establish: that max is an unreliable narrator, that there are things she doesn’t see. i would say the tables have turned, and it has, but we also discovered that deib has always been the romantic, and max the realist. at that moment we know that max will be changed irrevocably. that ending took the wind out of me. that hurt, but it was thrilling too, made me excited for things to come.
‘love is like lightning.’ poor deib doesn’t know he has been struck by lightning, and is prone to the electricity of one. he doesn’t know it yet because of the gray sky gloom of his shattered heart.
the kiss is everything, it was shocking, kilig and all that, but in context of the story, it is more appealing more kilig to think of all the interactions that lead up to that accidental kiss, all the pent up tension in those interactions that is channeled into that meeting of lips. oh gosh! it just occurred to me, this kiss was predicated by such a verbose exchange just to prove a point, to win. it only took this kiss to shut both max and deib up. i would say there are no winners here. they are both losers to love. except. it’s still to early to call it, right?
in terms of the team up: implied as it is, this is what i mean when i say, i am unafraid for these two to go there, when necessary. there is such a safety i sense between donny and belle, in the way they care for each other. it’s beautiful.
to say that this show only promotes bullying to its young, impressionable target demographic, could not be more wrong. this show matters because it gives its characters (who are representative of today’s teen generation), complete arcs, and safe spaces for feelings no matter how ugly they are. it’s a show that allows teens to be teens, allows them to figure things out for themselves, a show that allows them to relate with one another, as they should. and the usual byproduct of emotional teens relating with one another is bullying. it’s not the best thing ever, but it is what it is. see, we can only pray and hope that the kids turn out to be good ones, but to expect kids to be perfect is out of the question. this is a work of fiction, of course there is a tinge of exaggeration. now, if you all are that bothered by the bullying, i hope there are adults watching with you. be kilig. have fun with the show, but always look deeper.
why do you think i needed three re-watches and few days for a post this long?
i am excited for the next episodes.

(if i think to add more, this will be edited).

hi again dia! happy first day of december ❤️💚 i wanted to ask you what, in your opinion, are the 5 most underrated dcoms? i remember you saying before that you've watched all of them so i'd love to hear your opinions 😊 - 🎅🎁🎄
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH secret santa you are so good! asking me all the best questions 💜
okay so i literally had to make a list of all the dcoms i consider underrated and then narrow down a top 5. theres lots of dcoms that i love, but that i think got the right amount of attention and care (like lemonade mouth and the teen beach movies, for example), so this list just focuses on ones that deserved more hype for their quality level.
5. The Cheetah Girls: One World (2008)
okay so even as i type this i feel like a hypocrite. i have only watched this movie one time. BUT i can acknowledge that its one of the most criminally underrated dcoms ever, tons of people didnt watch it simply because raven wasnt in it. thats why i avoided it as a child, and i didnt get around to watching it until i did my big dcom binge in 2016. and it was so good. theres a really long post floating somewhere around tumblr full of specifics on why its actually the best cheetah girls movie (my favorite is the second one purely out of nostalgia), so to paraphrase some points from that post:
its a solid example of cultural appreciation, rather than appropriation, as the girls go and learn about bollywood and indian culture together
the indian characters arent treated like props or unimportant sides, they get their own agency and storylines that are important
the songs are good!!!
basically this movie was overlooked and slept on even though in terms of role modeling and social value, and just like the first two cheetah girls movies it was important and impactful.
4. Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure (2011)
okay so as someone whos very neutral and occasionally negative-leaning towards the hsm franchise (mostly bc its overhyped and not really representative of all dcoms), i was pleasantly surprised by sharpays fabulous adventure. this is another one that i know lots of people skipped right over and dont hold with as much esteem as the main hsm franchise, and that doesnt sit right with me.
i do not agree with the “uwu sharpay was the real victim in hsm” arguments bc in their efforts to look galaxy brained the people who say that overlook the fact that she was a rich white woman who used her power and status to exercise control over opportunities that should have been fairly and freely available for all; they were not “making a mockery of her theater” in the first movie, they were literally just kids who wanted to try out a new school activity that everyone was supposed to be allowed to participate in; and despite allegedly learning her lesson and singing we’re all in this together with everyone at the end of the first movie, she literally showed no growth in the second movie as she fostered an openly hostile environment and favored troy so heavily that it literally cost him his friends, all as part of yet another jealous plan to take things away from people who already have less than her. she was NOT the victim in the main franchise, and she did not seem to exhibit any growth or introspection either.
and that!!! is why sharpays fabulous adventure was so important. in focusing on sharpay as the main character, they finally had to make her likeable. they did this by showing actual real growth and putting her outside of her sphere of influence and control. we saw true vulnerability from her, instead of the basic ass “mean girl is sad bc shes actually just super insecure” trope (cough cough radio rebel), and this opened us up to finally learn about and care about her character. throughout the movie we see her learn, from her love interests example, how to care for others and be considerate. she faces actual adversity and works through it, asking herself what she truly wants and what shes capable of. and in the end, when she finally has her big moment, we’re happy for her bc she worked hard to get there. she becomes a star through her own merit and determination, rather than through money and connections. this movie is not perfect by any means, but it is severely underrated for the amount of substance it adds to sharpays character.
3. The Swap (2016)
okay i know im gonna get shit for this but thats why its on this list!!! just like sharpays fabulous adventure, its not perfect and definitely misses the mark sometimes, but it deserves more attention and love for all the things it did get right!
the swap follows two kids who accidentally switch bodies because of their emotional attachment to their dead/absent parents’ phones. and while i normally HATE the tv/movie trope of a dead parent being the only thing that builds quick sympathy for a young character, they definitely expanded well enough to where we could root for these kids even without the tragedy aspect. we see them go through their daily struggles and get a feel for their motivations as characters pretty well. as a body switching movie, we expect it to be all goofy and wacky and lighthearted, but it moves beyond that in unexpected ways.
the reason the swap is on this list is for its surprisingly thoughtful commentary on gender roles. its by no means a feminist masterpiece, and its not going to radicalize kids who watch it, but it conveys a subtle, heartfelt message that deserves more appreciation. the characters struggle with the concept of gender in a very accurate way for their age, making off-base comments and feeling trapped by the weight of expectations they cant quite put their finger on. we watch them feel both at odds with and relieved by the gender roles they are expected and allowed to perform in each others bodies, and one of the most interesting parts of the movie to me is their interactions with the other kids around them. as a result of their feeling out of place in each others environments, the kids inadvertently change each others friendships for the better by introducing new communication styles and brave authenticity.
the value of this movie is the subtle, but genuine way it shows the characters growing through being given the space to act in conflicting ways to their expected norms. ellie realizes that relationships dont have to be complex, confusing, and painful, and that its okay to not live up to appearances and images. jack learns that emotional expression is good, healthy, and especially essential to the grieving process. one of the most powerful scenes in the movie comes at the end where, after ellie confronts jacks dad in his body, jack returns as himself to a very heartfelt apology from his father for being too hard on him; the explicit message (”boys can cry”) is paired with an open expression of love and appreciation for his kids that he didnt feel comfortable displaying until his son set an example through honest communication. this is such an empowering scene and overall an empowering movie for kids who may feel stuck in their expected roles, as it sets a positive example for having the courage to break the restrictive societal mold. for its overall message of the importance of introspection and emotional intelligence, the swap is extremely underrated.
2. Freaky Friday (2018)
this is my favorite dcom, and probably my favorite movie at this point. ive always assigned a lot of personal value to this movie (and i love every freaky friday in general), for the message of selfless familial love and understanding. i know i can get carried away talking about this topic; i got an anon ask MONTHS ago asking me about the freaky friday movies and i wrote a super super long detailed response that i never posted bc i didnt quite finish talking about the 2018 movie. and thats bc on a personal level, i cant adequately convey all the love i have for this movie. so i will try to keep this short.
first lets state the obvious: the reason people dont like this movie is bc its not the lindsay lohan version. and i get that, to an extent, bc i also love the 2003 version and its one of my ultimate comfort movies, and grew up watching it and ive seen it a billion times. i even watched it a couple days ago. but the nostalgia goggles that people have on from the early 2000s severely clouds their judgement of the wonderful 2018 remake.
yes, the 2018 version is dorky, overly simplistic plot wise, a bit stiff at times, and super cheesy like any dcom. the writing isnt 100% all the time. the narrative takes a couple confusing turns. the song biology probably shouldnt have been included. i understand this. but at the heart of it all, this movies value is love. and its edge over all the other freaky friday movies is the songs.
on a personal level, the movie speaks heavily to me. i cried very early into my first viewing of the movie bc i got to see dara renee, a dark-skinned, non-skinny actress, playing the mean popular girl on disney channel. that has never happened before. growing up, i saw the sharpays and all the other super thin white women get to be the “popular” girls on tv, and ultimately they were taken down in the end for being mean, but that doesnt change the fact that they were given power and status in the first place for being conventionally beautiful. so, watching dara renee strut around confidently and sing about being the queen bee at this high school got to me immediately. and in general, the supporting cast members of color really mean a lot to me in this movie. we get to see adam, an asian male love interest for the main character. we have a second interracial relationship in the movie with katherines marriage to mike. ellies best friend karl is hispanic. and we see these characters have depth and plot significance, we see them show love, care, and passion for the things they value. the brown faces in this movie are comforting to me personally. additionally, the loving, blended family dynamic is important to me as someone in a close-knit, affectionate step-family.
but on a more general level, this movie is underrated for its skillful musical storytelling and the way it conveys all kinds of love and appreciation. in true freaky friday fashion, we watch ellie and katherine stumble and misstep in their attempts to act like each other. its goofy and fun. but through it all, the music always captures the characters’ intimate thoughts and feelings. the opening song gives us a meaningful view into ellie and katherines relationship and the fundamental misunderstandings that play a role in straining their connection. ellie sings about how she thinks her mom wants her to be perfect, and her katherine sings about all the wonderful traits she sees in her daughter and how she wants her to be more open and self assured. this is meaningful bc even as theyre mad at each other, the love comes through. the songs continue to bring on the emotional weight of the story, as ellie sings to her little brother about her feelings of hurt and abandonment in her fathers absence. the song “go” and its accompanying hunt scene always make me cry bc of the childlike wonder and sense of adventure that it brings. for the kids, its a coming of age, introspective song. for katherine who gets to participate in ellies body, its a reminder of youth and the rich, full life her daughter has ahead of her. she is overcome with excitement, both from getting to be a teenager again for a day, and from the realization that her daughter has a support network and passions that are all her own. today and ev’ry day, the second to last song, is the culmination of the lessons learned throughout the movie, a mother and daughters tearful commitment to each other to love, protect, and understand one another. the line “if today is every day, i will hold you and protect you, i wont let this thing affect you” gets to me every time. even when things are hard and dont go according to plan, they still agree, in this moment, to be there for each other. and thats what all freaky friday stories are ultimately about.
freaky friday 2018 is a beautiful, inclusive, subversive display of familial love, sacrifice, and selflessness, and it is underrated and overlooked because of its more popular predecessor.
1. Let It Shine (2012)
this is another one of my favorite dcoms and movies in the whole world. unlike the other movies on this list, it is not the viewers themselves that contribute to the underrated-ness of this movie. disney severely under-promoted and under-hyped this movie in comparison to its other big musical franchises, and i will give you five guesses as to why, but youll only need one!
let it shine is the most beautifully, unapologetically black dcom in the whole collection. (i would put jump in! at a notable second in this category, but that one wasnt underrated). this movie was clearly crafted with care and consideration. little black kids got to see an entire dcom cast that represented them. the vernacular used in the script is still tailored mostly to white-favoring audiences, but with some relevant slang thrown in there. in short, the writers got away with the most blackness they were allowed to inject into a disney channel project.
the story centers on rap music and its underground community in atlanta, georgia. it portrays misconceptions surrounding rap, using a church setting as a catalyst for a very real debate surrounding a generational, mutlicultural conflict. this was not a “safe” movie for disney, given its emphasis on religious clashes with contemporary values. it lightly touches on issues of image policing within the black community (cyrus’s father talking about how “our boys” are running around with sagging pants and “our girls” are straying away from god), which is a very real and pressing problem for black kids who feel the pressure (from all sides) of representing their whole race with their actions. its a fun, adorable story about being yourself and staying true to your art, but also a skillful representation of struggles unique to black and brown kids and children from religious backgrounds.
on top of crafting a fun, wholesome, thoughtful narrative and likeable protagonists, let it shine brought us what is in my opinion the BEST dcom soundtrack of all time. every single song is a bop. theyre fast, fun, and lyrically engaging. “me and you” is my favorite disney channel song of all time due to its narrative significance; i will never forget my first time watching the movie and seeing that big reveal unfold onstage, as a conversation and a plot summary all wrapped into a song. the amount of thought and care that went into the music of this movie should have been rewarded with a level of attention on par with that of other musical dcoms.
if disney channel had simply cared about let it shine more, it couldve spanned franchises and sold songs the way that other musical dcoms have drawn in success. i would have loved for a sequel that explored and fleshed out cyrus’s neighborhood a little bit more, and maybe dipped into that underground scene they caught a glimpse of. i wanted a follow up on the changed church community once cyrus’s father started supporting his sons vision. i want so much more for these characters and this world than disney gave them in just one movie.
for its bold, unabashed representation of blackness and religion, subtle, nuanced presentation of race-specific issues, strong, likeable characters, and complex, thoughtful songs, let it shine is the most underrated dcom.
and because i made a full list before i started writing this post, here are some honorable mentions:
going to the mat (2004)
gotta kick it up! (2002)
tru confessions (2002)
dont look under the bed (1999)
invisible sister (2015)

Was tagged by the lovely @jean--valswan! Thank you!
Rules: answer the questions and tag 9 people you want to know better.
1) Top 4 ships
Listen. I will always gladly take the opportunity to rave about my favourite ships.
I’m a huge shipper and I have an extreme amount of feelings for a great many of the ships I’ve had. My favourites have shifted over time, but I know for certain what my top four are as of now.
1. Dirk/Todd. Dearly beloveds... Can’t believe it’s been over two years since I watched this show, and these two still own my heart more than any other pairing? Even if it’s not always the one constantly on my mind, this ship remains the most prominent in my heart. Probably my two favourite characters of all time, from my favourite show. They just appeal to me in every way? They’ve got that detective and assistant dynamic, and the sunshine and the grump dynamic. But they’re also both such idiots and dorks. They’re so funny to watch, they have amazing chemistry, and such an outpouring of love for each other that’s prominent in the show constantly. Soulmates. Made for each other. Could talk about them forever.
Tumblr media
2. Aziraphale/Crowley. If you know, you know. Literally two gay idiots who have been pining for each other for 6000 years. Both their characters are utter perfection and their chemistry is unreal. One of the most romantic things I’ve ever witnessed on a television screen. My heart aches thinking about them because they’re just one of the best relationships I’ve ever seen in fiction? Absolute dumbass dorks, both of them, and they’re just total 100% soulmates.
Tumblr media
3. Gon/Killua. The most recent one here that I’ve gotten into, but they couldn’t possibly be any lower than this. Can’t believe these two 12 year olds singlehandedly invented love. I’m only even half-kidding. These two are total kids. They act silly, run off having fun together, bicker and act out... but they’re so deeply entwined it’s ridiculous. The level of devotion these two have for each other is absolutely insane. They’d literally do anything for each other and canon makes this clear on so many occasions. They send my heart on a rollercoaster.
Tumblr media
4. Light/L. I always find this one so funny, because it’s so different from all my other best friends who would do anything for each other ships. They’re the one exception to the rule, and I’m endlessly attached to them. Their dynamic is just so interesting. How they have so many twisted and complicated emotions about each other you can analyze endlessly. How you always get that tragic sort of feeling that maybe if things had’ve been different, maybe they could have been friends or more. Plus.... holy shit, I will never be over the Greek Tragedy that is these two in the 2015 Drama...
Tumblr media
Honorable mentions: - Bakugou/Kirishima (the ship I’ve been super into lately) - Todoroki/Midoriya (the other ship I’ve been into lately) - Hiro/Ando (my original otp) - Troy/Abed (sitcom ship of my heart) - Himura/Alice (most underrated otp) - Frodo/Sam (dare I say: ultimate soulmates?)
2) Last song I listened to
Particles by Nothing but Thieves!
3) Last movie I watched
Knives Out today in the theatre for my birthday! It was a super amazing movie, would definitely recommend checking it out.
4) Reading
There’s a million novels I should be reading, but the current things I’m reading right now are, uh,,, Killua/Gon fanfictions because they give me life.
5) What food are you craving right now
Mmmm, I don’t think anything? I’m still full from my dinner tonight, lol.
I tag: YOU!!

I don’t remember if I asked this or not; so I apologize if I already did: “What’s your opinion on Morgana? Her character, her relationship with Darkwing...? Me personally, and I mean to sound like a hater or anything, I don’t like her. She added nothing to the show, she was honestly a boring character to watch, and her relationship with Darkwing didn’t exactly seem that healthy. Considering how much they argued, and that she always got mad at Darkwing at the drop of a hat.
Tumblr media
Hey, let me be sure to say: You don't have to like a popular character just because that's the hive mind option, it's perfectly alright to have opinions (just as long as it's not antagonistic or searching to fan some flames), and I respect that. *nod*
Now, onto the question...
Wow, really putting me on the spot here, lol
Well, that's a perfectly valid point. I suppose now that I'm able to really consider it, yes, the depiction of Morgwing in the show can be a bit... um... gosh, I ain't good with words sometimes, but yeah, she did get mad at him pretty easily.
((I really should clarify that I'm asexual, so I'm very much blind to some problematic elements of popular pairings until someone points it out with good valid points))
Now, the Darkwing Duck cartoon is far from being a totally refined masterpiece. The color errors, plot holes and size inconsistencies are enough to drive a snob crazy, and the episodes often end abruptly, or some elements aren't totally fully realized. A big example of this phenomenon would be how the Liquidator is such an underrealized character with very little involvement despite being part of the defacto core villain group, and potentially having the most incredible ability set that would be amazing to actually be fully utilized.
"Darkwing Duck" is a beloved series by many, myself included (legend has it, my first spoken word was an attempt to say "Darkwing", so you can guess how far back I have with this franchise), but it's not without its flaws in writing and presentation.
I suppose that's was helps the Fandom be so incredibly creative, as we have a lot to work with and a lot that could be expanded on or "fixed", without much fear of being chewed out for messing with established canon.
That said, I quite enjoy Morgana's overall design, the concepts she brings to the table (magic, she has magic at her fingertips, she can literally do anything or be an actual deus ex machina within the context of the franchise), and I honestly liked the idea that she has a tendency to mess up on a spell that usually leads to humorously disastrous results.
I suppose we have to remember that this character is a product of the 90s Cartoons Trend, in which is was just considered new and innovative to not make girls so prissy pretty pretty sparkle dresses lipstick and ribbons.
Alternatively, Gosalyn is also a product of that era and mentality, and the results is this girl who is probably one of the best depictions of a tomgirl from that time (I was never much of a prissy girl either, so Gosalyn is an important character to me, alongside the fact that she's adopted, like me). Gosalyn is also more fleshed out than Morgana because Gosalyn appears in nearly every episode, so there's been a lot done to keep her consistent.
Morgana doesn't have the benefit of being in every episode.
Granted, incidental characters who have been around for far less time can be just as memory sticking.
Let me present an example of that in action: I was running my Mom through a detailed summary of the comic continuation for her (she doesn't much care to read comics in general, but we'd watched the cartoon together), and let me tell you that I was baffled that she knew and remembered Paddywhack, but apparently didn't know who Mr. Banana Brain was. Nevermind that the one episode Paddywhack was in included inhabiting Mr. Banana Brain, or that Mr. Banana Brain appears like half of QuackerJack's episode appearances. Also, she remembered Taurus Bulba. But not Mr. Banana Brain. At all. Despite Mr. Banana Brain being practically attached to QuackerJack's hip everytime he appears. This made explaining QuackerJack's actions in the comics far more lengthy than it should have been, lol.
I still have no idea how she didn't remember Mr. Banana Brain.
Anyway, I'm going off on a tangent here and I don't know what I should snip off, but I'm not going to delete what I just spent five minutes typing up...
*cough*
Well, anywho, I like the concept of Morgana. I'm sure more could have been done with her, and I'm hoping that Ducktales 2017 might be able to flesh her out more if they plan on dipping further into the Darkwing pool, since Ducktales 2017 has done such a great job in reimagining these long established characters.
Also
I really want that Morgana Funko Mystery Mini for my little figure collection
Tumblr media
But to cherry pick her it's like $32+ on resale sites, and her pull rate is astronomically unfair.

Caleb, Peter, the Oracle/Himerish and Yan Lin for the ask game.
Alright, after a VERY unexpected hiatus (for which I wholeheartedly apologize), I’m finally back with responses to the ask game I reblogged with the expectation of answering much sooner.
Answers below the cut, with the exception of favorite photo (I just didn’t have the time to search through both comics and cartoon to find the best ones).
Caleb
• favorite thing about them:
I guess the fact that he pulls off Badass Normal pretty well, surrounded by all of these powerful women. He can still hold his own in a fight, and managed to coordinate a successful rebellion in a world long under tyrannical rule. Also, can’t forget the literal dream-guy aspect of his initial comics characterization.
• least favorite thing about them:
On the animated series side, I really dislike the toxic masculinity and sexism fueling his characterization, which was especially prominent in season 1 (and thankfully waned as the series went on). Which I guess is also my problem with him in the comics, except that trait came out of the blue well into his time in the series and served the sole purpose of breaking up his relationship.
• favorite line:
I do like the first romantic scene between Caleb and Cornelia, so I’ll go with his speech there.
• brOTP:
Listen, “D is for Dangerous” is one of my favorite episodes of the animated series, so Caleb and Matt is always a favorite relationship. He also has a fun relationship with the girls in season 1 (when he’s not being all “Ugh, girls”), and I do like his comic partnership with Vathek.
• OTP:
I don’t really ship them actively, but Cornelia and Caleb have a fun dynamic in the animated series, and the initial concept of them in the comics is really sweet.
• nOTP:
I’m not a fan of Elyon/Caleb for a number of reasons, and with the way CxC ended in the comics, I just don’t see there being a good way for them to get back together later on, so I really don’t ship Caleb with anyone after about issue #20.
• random headcanon:
Well, my knee-jerk reaction here is that cartoon-verse Caleb would find one unusual—by his peer group and personal characterization’s standards—hobby and be amazing at it and honestly enjoy it. Like in “Divide and Conquer” we got natural snowboarder Caleb because the sport had a Meridian counterpart, for a hot second he played a guitar on the school roof, and then “D is for Dangerous” was rife with his inability to understand Earth teenager things. So based on all of that, I’m thinking he’d somehow latch onto some activity that’s quiet and leisurely—because the guy needs it, he’s basically been raised in and for battle since conception—but still involves some skill and concentration. Something that can help him take his mind off things but also be productive, allowing him to create something fun and useful.
Basically, this is my roundabout way of saying that I had the mental image of Caleb taking up knitting and being great at it, maybe making the girls shawls and scarves for Guardian business in colder climates (because Kandrakar knows that the uniforms don’t offer optimal coverage). There’s just something comforting about the repetition to stitching, where he can either tune out to everything or focus on something else while his hands still work the needles without interruption. It makes even war rooms for the latest universal threat less of a stressor for him, and oh no I think I’m attached to this concept that started as a stray thought based on one of my own hobbies.
• unpopular opinion:
Mm, maybe just the fact that he’s not my favorite love interest in either media, even when on his best behavior? In terms of ship-related stuff, I most frequently see CxC as the popular canon pairing, and while I’m glad to see the love for them (means that this series overall is getting the love it deserves!), I’m personally just neutral and can’t really muster up any strong feelings. I pretty sure that’s just a ME thing, because many a time I’ve just been chill with major canon pairings, not really caring either way, while I’ll positively be clutching my heart and wanting to cry over my tiny canoe of a minor or even wildly non-canon pairing. So I’m totally down with and supportive of Caleb/CxC fans, even if I don’t feel what they do as potently.
• song i associate with them:
I feel like I use this song for every “enduring fight against evil” situation, but I’m still going to go with “The Good Guys” by the Elms (and of course, I can’t find a YouTube link for it…). I just feel like it captures the weariness of leading a rebellion against an oppressive superpower—especially in the days before the Guardians’ involvement—and the fact that Caleb is just a guy fighting without any powers. “When all you got is a single shot/You do the best job that you can/’Cause it’s a long road for a simple man.”
Peter
• favorite thing about them:
Look, he’s just a really great guy all-around. Best older brother, caring boyfriend, good friend, and the coolest dude who’s simultaneously a complete dork.
• least favorite thing about them:
I’m just going to go with the fact that he really doesn’t have any character in his short time in the animated series except to be a) Taranee’s brother (without really seeing anything with their relationship) and b) Caleb’s short-lived romantic foil for Cornelia.
• favorite line:
Not so much a line as a particular scene that sticks in my head as an iconic Peter moment, and it’s just this one comic image of him balancing on a kitchen chair like it’s a surfboard, excited that Taranee got accepted for the Redstone exchange program because it’s a “surfer’s paradise.” Like he’s super proud of his little sister for her achievements, but he’s also very much a surfer dude dork who’s going to geek out over some choice waves and get yelled at by his mom for standing on the furniture.
• brOTP:
He is the BEST big brother to Taranee, so of course that has to be my top choice.
• OTP:
Peter/Cornelia deserve so much more love than what I’ve given them in the past, they’re precious.
• nOTP:
I don’t really have one, at least not a specific one? PxC is the only thing I know in terms of Peter shipping.
• random headcanon:
In the instance where he finds out about the Guardians, I imagine he’d be like the Team Mom (or Best Boyfriend, in Cornelia’s case). Much like his sister, he’s not going to be pleased with the Council and what they put the Guardians through—really, if you throw Judge Cook in here too the three of them would probably put the entire establishment on trial and win. But in the meantime, until definitive change can be made, Peter devotes his time to making sure the girls are taken care of and maintaining a proper balance between their two lives. He’s probably there with cookies and hot chocolate and fuzzy blankets after every rough mission, letting the Guardians finish the initial debrief before ushering them to a mandatory movie night or something to decompress. Date nights with Cornelia invoke a firm no-Guardian-business clause, where all conversation is on everything but and any lingering concerns are checked at the door, where they can remain for a few hours.
It’s just… this is Peter’s sister and girlfriend and their best friends, and it’s in his nature to be a very chill, caring dude. If pre-New Power Matt was ecstatic about providing support by running interference while the girls are away on mission, then I imagine Peter would be the go-to guy for emotional support after a battle.
• unpopular opinion:
Mmm, just as a stray thought, I guess I’d have liked to see more of him in the animated series? Not sure if that’d be unpopular, but given the fact that CxC have something of a better relationship there than in the comics and Peter was pretty much introduced into that canon for the sole purpose of a love triangle, I thought it might be. So yeah, I’d have liked to see cartoon Peter some more—give me the good brotherly moments with Taranee, and I’d be curious to see a platonic friendship with Cornelia (and maybe even Caleb) assuming endgame CxC.
• song i associate with them:
Because I’m such a cheeseball, we’re going with an era-appropriate selection in “Catch Your Wave” by the Click Five, a song I still unabashedly love nearly 15 years later (and consider criminally underrated compared to the popularity of “Just the Girl”). Chosen partly because of the ‘00s feel and partly because Peter is a surfer, and frankly I think he’d be enough of a cheeseball to sing this one for Cornelia.
The Oracle/Himerish
• favorite thing about them:
I do enjoy that the “Trial of the Oracle” arc humanized him a bit. I feel like it’s not often that you get to see such a higher-power character be brought down a bit and not only reveal their more normal past, but have them return to it for a time. It was an interesting change of perspective, both as a reader and for Himerish himself.
• least favorite thing about them:
Probably everything related to the “these are young teenagers fighting your battles and enduring what will almost certainly be lasting psychological trauma (given the prior generation, where, FYI, one of them killed another and you just kind of locked her away and let two of the distraught survivors be banned from your sky fortress for eternity because they dared question your judgement in expression of their trauma from losing two best friends to this madness), and you’re still going with this, huh, Himerish?” situation. We’re not going to delve into that any more because we will be here for a while.
• favorite line:
Oh, I can’t remember which arc it’s from (the end of Book of Elements, maybe?), but there’s this one sequence where Himerish and Yan Lin are simultaneously (yet separately) getting ready for a celebration and having a bit of fun with it, and Himerish jokingly looks at his reflection and says, “Maybe I’ll get a haircut!” I’m just laughing thinking about it, so we’re going with it.
• brOTP:
I mean, Himerish and Tibor (and Yan Lin) is the ultimate Kandrakar BROTP. Himerish also had a much more human relationship with the Guardians and Orube with the fourth arc, which I appreciated.
• OTP:
Uh, frankly not something I’ve thought of for him, so we’re going to pass.
• nOTP:
Again, not something I’ve considered, but I guess I’d say Oracle ships with the Guardians are not my thing?
• random headcanon:
Oh, he definitely kept that outfit with the baseball hat and the Cupid t-shirt. Both Tibor and Endarno almost had an aneurysm the first time he wore it to a Council meeting.
• unpopular opinion:
Ehn, well I guess I’ll go with the fact that even after Trial of the Oracle he’s still not one of my favorites. The arc definitely humanized him, a fact for which I’m grateful, but I’m still not huge into Kandrakar overall.
• song i associate with them:
You know, for someone who massively associates songs with characters and/or stories, this one was a really tough one. But I was trawling my music library and stumbled on Rascal Flatts’s “I’m Movin’ On” and it just slammed into me.
Now I know I largely don’t recognize the arcs post-Ragorlang, partially because I don’t know them well (having only read them once) and partially because what I do remember was bad, but I still have this lingering image of Himerish’s final page in the series, where he just quietly walks away and disappears from Kandrakar. I don’t remember the context of this in the slightest—like I can’t remember if it was his choice to leave (unlike during Trial of the Oracle) or if he was being called into question again—but I do just remember this silent sendoff, and seeing this song made me think of this scene. From the title alone, it’s very much a bittersweet goodbye kind of song and I’ve loved it for that purpose, which I think it serves perfectly here. Particularly the line “I never dreamed home would end up where I don’t belong”—for so long, Himerish had been synonymous with the position of Oracle and Kandrakar itself, yet as Trial of the Oracle showed us, he led a very different life prior to taking the title. The fact that he’s leaving (presumably by choice, because that’s the way my memory is leaning at the moment) just reads to me as him no longer feeling like he fits within the infinity of Kandrakar—the place that once encompassed the whole of his being—and knowing that it’s time to be moving on.
Yan Lin
• favorite thing about them:
She’s just the ultimate grandma. So very sweet and supportive to her granddaughter and her friends, and always the one to dispense wisdom. Also, she’s one of the few characters—if not the only—where I honestly can’t decide if I love her comic or animated counterpart more. They’re very different characters—comics Yan Lin is traditionally wise and kindhearted, while cartoon Yannie is the kind that will teach you an important lesson and then make some sort of witty comment and/or break out her old tennis racket that she found in the attic—but still so great.
• least favorite thing about them:
Hmm, maybe just how she had to watch one friend go power-mad, another get murdered by the first, and two get exiled forever from Kandrakar for saying this isn’t right, and yet she has no apparent fears or concerns about her granddaughter serving as a Guardian and running the same risks, amongst others? I get that Yan Lin would be proud at the very beginning because by the time the Nerissa arc happens everything was well out of the creators’ hands and thus nothing could be foreshadowed, but you’d still think that there’d be some level of terror once Nerissa awakens.
• favorite line:
Just because it’s in my head, I’m going with the aforementioned tennis racket bit from the cartoon. After she gives Hay Lin the map and Hay Lin questions if it’s because they’ve matured enough in their powers to handle the burden: “Nah, it was in the attic. I couldn’t find it. Found my old tennis racket too. [swings racket] FORE!!!”
• brOTP:
Honestly, I love Yan Lin as the honorary grandma for all of the girls. I’ll also say BROTP to C.h.y.k.n. (pre-everything awful, obviously), and Caleb and Yan Lin’s cartoon relationship, especially in season 1, is pretty fun too.
• OTP:
Well the animated series paired Yan Lin (or at least her Altermere) with Zacharias Lyndon, so I guess I’ll go with that.
• nOTP:
Don’t really have anything specific in mind?
• random headcanon:
Not really a headcanon, but I have to wonder what younger Yan Lin—particularly the animated one—was like with her (presumed) late husband. I mean, the woman was a literal force of nature in her youth and is uniquely wise in her prime, so what was the love story between her and Grandpa Lin? Was it more of an opposites-attract sort of thing—solid bedrock to her whirlwind—or was it more like-to-like?
Given Chen’s overprotectiveness in the animated series, my thought is he was the rational child of two eccentric spirits.
• unpopular opinion:
Granted, I don’t remember these arcs well at all to judge the execution, so this is based more on the concept: I’m not super into the Oracle Yan Lin idea. Not as a testament to her ability to do the job or anything, but it just doesn’t work for me with her character. While she’s had apparent faith in the Council and Himerish all along—even after Nerissa’s betrayal and Cassidy’s murder, the breaking point for both Kadma and Halinor—Yan Lin will always put her granddaughter’s safety first and foremost, as much as she can given the dangers of Guardianship. She’s gone out of her way and behind the Council’s back to get crucial messages to Hay Lin, and even smuggled the key to the Crown of Light to Will while Elyon was being held prisoner under Phobos-as-Endarno’s—AKA the new Oracle—rule. For as much as she outwardly believes in the laws of Kandrakar and the power of the Oracle, Yan Lin is not afraid to quietly go rogue and do what she knows is right.
That last point could arguably be a positive to Oracle Yan Lin—Kandrakar knows that plenty of modifications could be made to Kandrakar’s policies (i.e. the dangers of Guardianship)—except for the fact that Yan Lin’s stealth aid almost always comes as a last-minute, dire situation save. It’s not a preemptive way to diffuse the situation (which you’d think she’d want to do, given how maybe both Nerissa and Cassidy could have been saved if the Council had intervened sooner and with a better plan) when she comes to Hay Lin with the analogy about the oak and the rush, but a survival tip for when Will attacks the girls. Similarly, Yan Lin only gets the fragment of Elyon’s power to Will when she knows Phobos is hot on her tail and will take her out of the picture in mere moments. The fact that she only interferes when desperate times call could speak to her trust in the girls to handle things on their own, but it doesn’t bode as well for future change to the burdens of Guardianship that she could viably make as Oracle. Plus, the fact that her granddaughter is a serving Guardian almost certainly clouds Yan Lin’s actions—would she take similar actions even if it wasn’t Hay Lin’s life on the line?
And we’re going to stop there because that’s getting into different territory than I intended, but the short of it is I’m not into the concept of Oracle Yan Lin and much prefer her as the devoted Council member who’ll still sneak behind the laws of Kandrakar to protect her girls.
• song i associate with them:
First thing that came to mind was “Cassiopeia” by Sara Bareilles. Normally I’d say this is more of a Hay Lin song, just in terms of the star imagery and whimsical sound, but what sold me is the first line: “Come in close now, it’s time to tell a story.” And isn’t that the epitome of Yan Lin’s character! The revelation of the girls’ Guardianship, the Four Dragons—all of them start as stories that Yan Lin tells. So I guess it could still work as a Hay Lin song too, just within the frame of it as a story told by her grandmother.

Let's start with the most recent obsession taking over my life; Fairy Tail.
So I started it in January, I own the final volume, I've watched the last episode of fairy tail Zero, but I have three more episodes of the Tartaros arc to watch. Literally the next season is gonna start this fall and I'm still not gonna have it finished lol. Now that my class is over I plan to finish it before school starts again.
Anyway, my top ship from Fairy Tail is probably pretty easy to discern; Gruvia. I love Gray and Juvia as separate characters, Juvia is definitely my favorite female character and Gray is pretty damn close with Natsu for the top spot out of the guys. I loved Gruvia even before I started the fandom. Gruvia Week was how I met a lot of friends on tumblr, and how I found a lot of blogs that I admire as well as being the first showcase for my fanfictions, so in that way even years from now Gruvia will probably always be very special to me.
Here's some Gruvia Headcanons of mine:
- Juvia is, in my opinion, drop dead gorgeous. The most beautiful girl in Fairy Tail. I imagine if she was in real life she'd have that sort of eerie beauty, that like she's so perfect she seems like a vampire or something. Like very pale, ivory skin, elegantly shaped eyes that are so crystal blue, full lips, that unfair hourglass figure. She seems so shy in her appearance that I can't help but feel like one of the things that also alienated her from people aside from her rain was just how pretty she was. She either got lots of attention from people, or she got lots of jealous glares from people.
- I think it's pretty much confirmed at this point, but Gray seems to have even first considered himself with Juvia around Edolas/Tenrou Island. I don't think he really felt strong romantic feelings for her until the Grand Magic Games, mostly I think Lyon expressing his attraction for her really made Gray think "would Lyon have a chance with her? Would Juvia consider dating him? Hey wait, I don't want that to happen. Why am I jealous of the thought of Lyon with her?" I love the talk Erza had with him. Erza seems to have really looked out for gray, and she sees Juvia as a no-strings-attached kinda girl, a girl who just wants to make gray happy. Gray is terrified of getting too close to people and losing them, and I think the fact that Juvia almost died during the fight with the dracolings scared him even more than the fact that he DID die, especially after he realized what Ultear had done. But the moments between them during Tartaros for me, solidify their relationship. And unpopular opinion, I love the "confession" scene in the final chapter. It's in character. Gray isn't able to express himself fully yet. He's still scared. He thought he had lost Juvia again to Invel. So the "you're mine/you belong to me" felt like the best he could do.
- When they finally are officially a couple (whenever that will be) I wholeheartedly believe that, despite all of her crazy fantasies, Juvia will be terribly shy with any sort of affection. Gray tries to kiss her for the first time and she whacks herself (or him) on the head because she thinks it's a fantasy. Gray puts his arms around her and she screams and falls to the ground like a sack of potatoes (something I have physically also done lolol). Even though she is perfectly willing to strip after picking up his habit, I think the romantic feelings of such a moment would make any sort of intimacy/sex with gray very difficult with her. Basically like she sees it as her mind playing tricks on her. Not in an annoying way though, I see it being very endearing and gray would probably find it all very funny, considering how all-in she appeared to be about her feelings for him.
- They are a power couple. Ain't nobody gonna be able to defeat them when they're together. They are both so extremely powerful (my girl Juvia is so underrated; she was an S-class mage in Phantom Lord! She was good enough to be nominated as one for Fairy Tail too! Alongside Gray!) by themselves, together they will destroy anyone for hurting the other. And Unison Raids for DAYS
Tumblr media
Second favorite couple is Nalu. I know I'm basic. I'm sorry. Natsu and Lucy just have so much chemistry, I can't help shipping them. I want to add that I ship pretty much any ship... I'm just naming my favorites. But yeah, I'm all for Nali, Graylu, Julu, Gratsu, Navia, Luli... whatever. Within reason, I'm up for any ship, really. Back to Nalu
Honestly I just love Natsu so much it hurts sometimes. And Lucy is such a good, relatable character. What I want more than anything in this world is for Lucy to get some love. And jealous Natsu. The possibilities are so good for jealous Natsu. I've heard a lot of different theories for why we didn't get an "I love you" from one of them in the final chapter, and honestly I love them all, so I'm not gonna sit here and explain those.
- Personally, I think Lucy was the first to consider a relationship, maybe even have a crush on Natsu. Any time anyone in the guild suggests it, gets Lucy madly blushing. But I think Natsu fell in love first. He probably didn't even realize what it was. But mix Tenrou Island, and Future Rogue killing Future Lucy... I think he really realized she was more than his best friend there.
- The post-Tartaros timeskip is such good angst for Nalu, but one of my favorite things to consider is that Lucy didn't seem to know where Natsu and Happy were. I love to think of her, following reports on all her other friends but having no idea where Natsu was, and how heartbreaking it would be. Not to mention, that moment Natsu finds the map. And he realizes that Lucy was so scared for him, that she was tearing herself apart because she couldn't find anything about him.
- Even though they never really elaborated on the tension between Natsu and Lucy after he had left her, I do believe Natsu felt immensely guilty for what he had done. Going back to Gruvia too, I think Natsu and Gray both know they hurt and abandoned the girls who care about them most in the world, and would even sorta bond over that - like what can we do to make it up to them?
- Did I mention how much I want jealous/possessive Natsu? Not in a bad way where Lucy gets mad at him... just sulking Natsu, Natsu trying to have his arm around her/be around her at all times, yanno?
Ps, there are so many good Nalu gifs... how do I pick one...
Tumblr media
Pss, dragon cry slayed me.
Okay last ship I'm gonna ramble about - my third favorite ship is Stingyu. A little less on the popular side, but it's certainly got more attention that I had originally thought. I love Sting, he's definitely right below Natsu and Gray for my favorite guy. And Yukino is so sweet, her friendship with Lucy makes me unbelievably happy every time it is brought into the spotlight. I love the angst of this pair, but also the sweet moments they share (Sting asking for Yukino to come back to Sabertooth, Sting punching Rogue when he accidentally groped her, their interactions during the Alvarez fight, and DONT even get me started on the Sabertooth spin off... you're telling me anyone else would react the same way Sting did?!)
- Yukino admired sting immediately from the moment she joined the guild. I'm convinced, because how would any girl not join a powerful guild, and not look up to the attractive, powerful dragon slayer at the top of it? Plus their magic together would be incredibly compatible. Sting was so certain she was going to beat Kagura, so I'm assuming he knew her strength, he thought she was strong, and he'd just be devastated that she lost. He'd be furious. But then he'd realize how awful it was when he finally realizes how terrible Jiemma treated them.
- Sting 100% put Yukino's guild mark back himself
- Sting is basically the jealous Natsu I want. That moment he punches rogue is so unexpected, like it was clearly by accident, he knows rogue better than anyone. I realize Stingyu is somewhat similar to Nalu, but like hey, sorry can't help it lol
- They probably end up together before any of the Fairy Tail couples, let's be honest. I think Stingyu has a pretty high chance of actually happening
Tumblr media
Those are my top ships for Fairy Tail. I'm gonna finish off by saying that Jerza, Gajevy, Nali, Baccana, Rogerva, Lyredy, Stingue, Luli, Miraxus, Fraxus, Mirafreed, Kinabra, Luvia all follow pretty close in about that order. I really ship anything in this show cuz I love all the characters so much. And yes my blog is based around shipping, but I love fairy tail for more than just that. The story and the magic abilities are so incredibly fascinating. For me it's get hooked by the ships, stay for the story. Now if only I could finish the anime! Lol
Sorry this post was so long, but I've been wanting to do these sort of rants for a while? I've worked on this for like an hour now. I think the other fandoms will wait for other days. Right now, for sure I'll make ship rants about Persona 5, Fire Emblem, My Hero Academia, RWBY... and then maybe I'll just make some general rants lol

holy shit alex
1. What was your first fic and could you stand to reread it today?
my first fic was altea rising and yes i’d still reread it today bc 1) i’m still writing it lmao, 2) i only started it two years ago dkfdj
2. What’s your most recent fic and how far do you think you’ve come?
if we’re not counting fic updates i guess the most recent thing i finished was my piece for @extrasolarzine (WHICH I’M GONNA FINALLY POST A PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK...AAH)!! and well, again i’ve only been writing fic for a couple years but...hmm idk, i mean this piece is very action-y and that’s something i used to have very little confidence about, so i’d like to think that’s something i’ve improved upon!
4. In your opinion and without looking at any numbers, what’s your most popular fic?
ha i mean i know for a fact that “if the silence was a song” is my most popular fic both in terms of hits/kudos....it also seems to be the one people rec the most and the one i most often get the reaction of “wait, YOU wrote that??” sdkfjd
5. Is there any fic that makes you super happy to reread and remember you wrote that?
answered!
6. Is there any fic that makes you super embarrassed to reread and remember you wrote that?
nah not really, i’m pretty happy with all my fics lol...i guess there’s parts of them that could be better but none of them make me like Truly Embarrassed
7. What’s the fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)?
answered!
8. What’s the oldest (longest since last update) fic you most want to continue (unfinished or no)?
i guess it’s altea rising since i haven’t updated it in like three months haha, but uhh don’t worry it’s coming! (as in i’m super close to Finally finishing a draft of the next chapter heh heh)
9. Have you ever written for a fandom without watching/reading/playing the source material?
nope! i’ve only written fic for voltron
10. Have you ever written for a fandom without reading other fanfic for it?
also no....i binge-read a ton of voltron fics the summer it came out and then started a fic of my own!
11. Have you ever written a fic for a concept you know someone else has done before? How did it impact your writing process or feelings after posting?
i figure everything has been done before in one way or another so that’s something i try not to sweat it too much about. i try to be original, but there’s also a lot of popular tropes i like so it’s fun to take those and try to make them my own somehow!
13. What’s the biggest change between your style when you started in fandom and today?
answered!
14. What’s the biggest change in your taste between when you started in fandom and today?
i’m not sure if this refers to reading or writing fic but...i guess in general i’m a lot pickier now than i was at the beginning of the fandom?? like i remember at the beginning i’d just kinda read whatever was popular but over time i’ve developed a much better sense of what i will and won’t like lol, and i p much only read things written by friends and/or rec’d to me by friends.
15. Have you ever purposefully written one fandom/fic idea over another because you knew it’d be more popular?
not really?? in fact i seem to gravitate more towards my super long complicated aus even knowing they’re not gonna gain as much attention lol.
16. Have you ever stopped writing a fic/for a fandom because it wasn’t receiving enough attention?
no i’m a masochist so i continue writing the aforementioned super long complicated aus even when it feels like i’m just dropkicking updates into the void lmao. but tbh even if literally no one was reading my multichap fics i’d probs still write them bc they’re fun to write and i love them a lot, so!!
17. In your opinion, what’s your most overrated fic?
ha i mean, again i like all my fics and i’m happy i wrote them all but...i guess probably “a truth in the blood”? dgmw i still like that one a lot and i’m glad a lot of people enjoyed it, i’m just not as like emotionally attached to it as i am to my other fics (probs cuz i wrote it in like two weeks haha).
18. What’s your most underrated fic?
ummm i’d say it’s defo “the stars are bound to change.” idk man like i really poured my soul into that one and it’s so rare someone tells me it’s their fave....i have this particular soft spot for it that whenever someone tells me they love that one i’m like *SOBS*...THANK YOU.
20. Have/Would you ever rewrite a fic? If yes, would you take the original down?
probably not?? there’s some things i’d probs change a bit in some of my fics but there’s nothing that i would rewrite completely.
21. If someone starts kudosing and commenting your fics in a spree and has a few works of their own, would you go look through theirs?
i gotta admit i don’t think i’ve ever done that...? i usually don’t start looking at someone’s fics unless they’ve been rec’d to me or like unless we’ve become friends and i then find out they write fic.
22. Has there ever been anyone who’s made you freak out because they read your work and followed/favorited/reviewed?
answered!
24. What’s the meanest review you’ve ever gotten? Do you think the reviewer intended it?
i’ve never gotten a truly mean review really. *knocks on wood* i think the only slightly negative one i can think of off the top of my head was someone who complained about the end of “the stars are bound to change” and said it was too abrupt but...i don’t think they intended it to be super malicious or anything, and like, i get it bc i wasn’t 100% happy with the ending either. but oh well can’t win ‘em all.
25. What constructive criticism, however well-meaning, always makes you feel bad when you see it in a review?
again i haven’t really gotten much negativity or criticism in comments so uh...*shrugs* and i’m p good at taking constructive criticism i was a creative writing major sdkdj
27. If you could only ever write crossovers or single-fandom fics ever again, which would you pick?
i’ve only ever written single-fandom fics and don’t have a desire to ever write a crossover fic so lol.
28. if you could only ever write for a single crossover or a single fandom again, which would you pick?
i mean i guess voltron bc it’s the only fandom i’ve written fic for anyway and klance still owns my ass, so...
29. Does the division of your writing across fandoms line up with your reading? What’s the biggest discrepancy?
....i only read/write voltron fic pretty much so uh n/a haha
30. Do you continue to write for a fandom after you’ve moved on or do you focus solely on the new one?
again i’ve only written voltron fic and yeah i’m still writing it even though i’m not watching the show anymore. what can i say, a bitch loves klance and that bitch is me!!
31. Who’s the one character you’ve just never managed to get perfectly right?32. Who’s the one character who shines without you even trying?33. Is there any particular character whose scenes always wind up being longer/more frequent than you expected? Does the quality hold up?
answered!
34. Was there any fic that you wrote that really surprised you in the fandom reaction? Was it just by the numbers or did they take it an entirely different way?
also answered!
35. Have you ever written a ship into a fic without meaning to?
not that i can think of...there’s been a couple times i’ve decided partway through a fic to include some side-pairing later on in the background, but it’s not really unintentional, just that i didn’t plan on it from the beginning.
37. Have you ever purposefully bashed a character/ship in a fic?
i wouldn’t say “bashed” per se but uh i do often really stress on shiro & keith having a brotherly relationship although that’s more out of the fear of people interpreting it the wrong way... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
38. Have you ever purposefully written something you know your readers would find uncomfortable/would not enjoy? If yes, why?
i....no. why would i do that?? dlkfjdk
39. Do you consider yourself to have a readership?
a sort of small one but yeah!
40. Do you feel like you put out enough content?
yes and no...i write a lot but it’s mostly just piling more and more into my multichaps. kinda wish i wrote more short oneshots but oh well.
41. If you cross-post your fics on multiple sites, do you have a favorite? Are there certain fics you would only post on certain site?
i only post on ao3 so yeah.
42. How many views has your most popular fic gotten?
“if the silence was a song” with 23,744 hits whew!!
43. Your least popular?
“a million little pieces” (the fic i wrote for lancito) it only has 349 hits rip.... (i mean it’s a gen fic and only like 2k words long so i get it but sdlkfjd)
44. Do you follow/favorite/kudos/comment/review more stories than you have received?
i’m a little confused by the wording of this lol, but uh if i’m understanding the question correctly...i think it’s about even? although tbh i’ve been slacking a lot in my fic reading lately, but in general i try to support other fic authors as much as i can!
45. If you had to call yourself an author of a single genre (besides fanfic) what label would you give yourself?
answered!
46. Do you consider yourself a diverse author?
i’m not sure if this means like in terms of diverse content/genres or in terms of like character diversity but i’d like to say yes to both?? i like moving around between different genres, also i care a lot about character diversity and representation so yeah!
47. If someone you know in real life who isn’t involved in fandoms asked to read your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you recommend they read first?
i mean this has happened to me before and i’m like “sure lol.” it depends on the person but probs i would have them read “a million little pieces” or maybe “a truth in the blood” since those are the shortest and uhhh the least shippy lol.
48. Does anyone you know from outside of fandom know you write fanfic? Are they involved in the same fandom too?

Bedwry Williams
Im absolutely gutted I missed this lecture! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t think you can truly get the feel of how an artist feels or approaches their work without hearing them first hand. I always love watching artist interviews more than trying to understand them through third party reviews.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have followed Bedwry on Instagram for just over a year, his sketches are absolutely brilliant and brutally funny.
If I’m honest I still feel slightly intimidated about writing about Bedwryn Williams. As Adam Carr says he is a massively underrated artist with so many achievements under his belt.
Bedwyrs work is surreal and humourous and is created using various methods and mediums. Bedwyrs recent sketches are digital, which I’m not a great fan of normally as they can be a bit soulless and flat, but Bedwyr’s sketches have a great fluidity and relaxed feel about them, which really helps bring them to life.
I know Bedwryn will be in a digital exhibition along with Roy Claire Potter and many other artists curated by Adam Carr for The Collectors. Definitely looking forward to viewing this online at some point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sketches Bedwyr produces seem to be humourous observation and judgments of human personalities and behaviour. They remind me of surreal comedy sketches.
His sketch work can have an autobiographical feel. More often than not they appear to be about a combination of surreal images and thoughts, maybe his own feelings or experiences peared with made up scenarios and perhaps other creatives and different types of irritating people he may of met along the way.
They can be very cutting and close to the bone. Sometimes if I’m honest althought I know they are meant to be tongue in cheek, they can seem a bit cruel, the mum in me kicks in and goes ‘aww that’s a bit harsh’ ....whilst I continue laughing my socks off 🤣
Sometimes I actually like reading the comments he writes to himself from himself more so than the sketches themselves. He’s often swearing at himself or calling himself names, with very funny surreal responses. I can imagine each commenter with a different accent and personality. They are such a clever, but often to me they represent a true if not surreal reflection of life on social media.
Tumblr media
An example of my strange head. I had seen a few sketches when I first started uni (like the one above) and wondered...shit is he talking about me?! (Mainly due to paranoia and nerves), but I suppose most people that work with or meet Bedwyr will think that at some point.....Or maybe that’s just me?
That’s the beauty of his sketches. I can imagine Bedwyr’s giggling behind his computer screen at you, telling the world how ridiculously pathetic you are, or how shit and fake your art work is. He must find it all tedious at times. I think it’s a great way to vent, it looks quite cathartic. 😜😂
Although I know our lecturers are all so supportive and seem to love their jobs. I always think they must of seen it all, the good, the bad and the ugly. After so many years all the fake and the bullshit must stand out a mile off, they must see through it all.
Tumblr media
If we are all honest with ourselves we all judge other people like this no matter how good of a person we think we are. We all have those inner thoughts about other people, but most of us would never dare to vocalise them. I hope I get to that level of not giving a shit at some point, that to me would be a true bliss and an evolutionary step forward to be able to not care and drown it all out.
That’s why this blog Rory Macbeth and Mark Wright have made us do is such a great test. It’s very unnerving at times baring your thoughts on other artist especially ones that you see all the time. Althought I doubt many people read my blog. I’m actually finding sharing my personal thoughts quite therapeutic too, which has surprised me because at first it terrified me. My ramblings are an attempt at trying to let go of caring what people think, because it’s so restricting, tiring, painful and pointless.
Rory Macbeth is constantly telling to stop saying ‘Sorry’, I wish I could....it’s like the word is surgerically attached to my tongue.
Tumblr media
Bedwyr creates installation work such as ‘Walk Mile In My Shoes’ 2009 it’s has a sense of being autobiographical, the installation encourages the viewers to literally walk in his shoes (secondhand ones in his size) creating the humourous perfomance of viewers walking round in size 13 shoes, in which most of us end up looking like clowns flopping our feet about the place. Each pair has its own message for viewers to read. To me the work talks about tolerance and diversity.
Bedwyr’s, seem to be interested in people especially facial expressions and seems to have a very clear dislike of certain types of people. Most of them I have to agree with him. 😂 I can’t stand self important, fake, second home owning Tory types who lack empathy either. 😜
Tumblr media
I really loved Bedwyr’s art performance he did about a group of artist being in residence called ‘Mini Bus’ 2009. They where in a car crash and he was the only survivor, due to being the only one wearing a seatbelt. I’v read its a dark comic satirical monaloge that apparently talks about the clashing of personalities and the stages from love the violence when living in close proximity. (The image above is reminiscent of Shakespeare’s Hamlet)
I love his work and after meeting him properly when helping with the new intake interviews recently I can say he is an absolutely lovely man too. After all the nerves I had about talking to him (although I did of course still talk way too much and laughed nervously like an idiot, whilst suffering from an accidental caffeine high ....believe me this is not advisable for someone with anxiety 😬 I need to cut down on coffee ☕️ ). Bedwry seems like such a funny down to earth fella. It was actually a lot less scary to meet him than I thought it would be.
I learnt in Adam Carrs lecture last semester that Bedwry also creates these fabulous tiny shop sculptures. They look so cute and just like the quaint little shops you see in Welch villages. I would like to learn more about them. I’m sure there will probably be some dark sarcasm involved in them somewhere. He is a very talented artist. I would love to get the chance to see some of his work exhibited one day in the flesh.
I hope I get the chance to attend his lecture next year to learn more about him. Maybe then I could get a better sense of his work. Everyone said how funny and interesting the lecture was still kicking myself for missing it.
I thought I’d just leave you with one of Bedwry’s latest commissions for London underground 🚊 🙌 ...until my next uncontrollable ramble.

Dunkirk
Wow. This film is brilliant in every single way.
From the very first frame, Christopher Nolan snatches your attention and does not give it back or loosen his grip until the credits roll. Dunkirk is insanely intense. I haven't held my breath throughout an entire movie since I first saw Whiplash three years ago and that feeling is exhilarating and so rare to have nowadays.
Knowing Nolan, I walked in having no idea what to expect at all. His take on the war genre proved to be absolutely fascinating and new; completely fresh in comparison to all the other war movies I've seen. We barely know any characters at all and there is barely any dialogue at all. Typically these elements are what drives movies to be great; character arcs and background stories, witty dialogue, deep emotional attachment to the characters and so forth.  But the lack of these very things are actually what makes it so damn good. We are made to feel exactly how the soldiers at Dunkirk would've felt. No speaking or getting to know one another, constant fear, tension, panic and dread. This is totally different from previous war films which have always been awful to watch gore-fests, dialogue intensive, emotional and showing the violence and horrors of war in a physical manner. Dunkirk does not show any blood, gore or shocking violence either. It does not need to. In fact it does the opposite and with its lack of dialogue and character developments, manages to open a new perspective into what is was like to really be a soldier at Dunkirk and how terrifying and tense it was.  This new style makes this film something incredibly engrossing and definitely a film that will remain amongst the great war films.
The tension that lasted from the first scene to the end was enhanced so powerfully by the soundtrack. As usual Hans Zimmerman manages to perfectly portray the visual emotions and tensions into music and a frightening auditory spectacle. The OST fits so well and remains so tense genuinely keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Now for more technical talk as to what makes this film a work of art. The shots are incredible. Every use of the camera was chosen exactly the right way. The long shots of the ocean and the beach were astounding. As well as the shots in which hundreds of soldiers duck and fall to the ground it bombings. The synchronicity of everyone is beautiful and terrifying to watch. There is also something so satisfying about the colours and style of shooting. Everything just works and it is beautiful to watch. Visually, the film is stunning but now paired with the sound is what makes this film a real great. Freaking awesome sound. I know good sound when I hear it but anyone would be able to pick up that the sound editing and mixing in this film is bloody insane. Everything sounded so crisp and clear and accurate. Underwater scenes, bombing scenes, bullets riddling metal, planes. The bombs were especially good though. The levelling of the soundtrack with the on scene sound effects was spot on too.
The cast even though a few were typicals of Nolan were all perfect. Fionn Whitehead was incredibly good considering his age and that this is his first feature film. All respect goes to him because his thunder has been taken away by Harry Styles. Although I must say Harry is really fucking good. He has an incredible knack for mannerisms and body language. He also shows emotion really really well on his face. Never ever saw that level of skill coming from him but then again Nolan does not screw around with casting. Tom Hardy never ceases to amaze me and for me, still remains criminally underrated as an actor. He literally acts with his eyes the whole film and it never ever comes across as less intense than other scenes because he really is just that good. Kenneth Branagh was one of the two most impressive for me. His facial expressions had me copying him when the planes from above approach with the camera slowly pulling away from his face. Spectacular. Basically everyone was brilliant in all honesty. Mark Rylance, my other favourite, proved yet again why he won best Supporting Actor with all his onscreen time showing emotions I never knew could be expressed and seen on a human face. The lack of dialogue is almost unnoticed because of the level of communication through expression in each actors faces and body language.
Dunkirk is a masterpiece and needs to be seen on the biggest screen possible. I saw it in Extreme Screen and it was so visceral as every bullet and bomb was felt as the sound shook the theatre. If you can afford to see it in IMAX, go. This is one of the rare movies that needs to be seen on a big screen to experience its full glory. Dunkirk is the best film I've seen that's come out this year and I couldn't recommend it any higher

@ploppythespaceship
ur asks keep getting eaten so I get notified they’re there and then I can see them for a few seconds before they go back in the void. So I’m answering your question but I can’t respond directly to the ask you sent.
Anyway it’s time to talk about Game of Thrones Soap Opera Cats!
1. When/how you got into Warrior Cats
I found them in the bookstore at some point looking for books about animals
2. Favourite clan
RiverClan, water friends
3. Least favourite clan
ThunderClan, they’re the gryffindor of Warriors everybody from there’s gotta be a hero, I don’t hate them but they’re overrated as heck
4. Favourite arc
Gotta go with the Original Prophecy
5. Least favourite arc
Power of Three, it introduced a lot of really interesting things and did fuck all with them, then half the books were filler so like...Power of Three. This arc and Omen of the Stars should have been smashed into one arc
6. Favourite protagonist
Probably
7. Least favourite protagonist
Lionblaze, he’s just boring, wow he has a hard life because he is invincible, poor baby
8. Favourite antagonist
Scourge, I mean my choices are either him or Tigerstar because the Erins can’t think of villains. He was ruined by the manga but I pretend that doesn’t exist. He works better with an air of mystery
9. Least favourite antagonist
Tigerstar, we get it, he’s bad, kill him for real
10. Favourite side character
Tawnypelt, her character arc got shoved to the sidelines but she overcame her dad’s shitty legacy and became a respected warrior on her own and she wasn’t a punk ass bitch like Brambleclaw and never got tricked by Tigerstar
11. Least favourite side character
Breezepelt, he’s an unrepentant asshole who sided with the dark forest from the jump and after the battle showed no remorse for his actions, but this fandom fucking adores him. What a good character!
12. Favourite leader
Bluestar
13. Least favourite leader
Nightstar, I literally forget about him all the time
14. A character that you used to love but now you hate them
Firestar, idk once he stopped being the cat whose thoughts we always hear he started looking real stupid. I guess since we didn’t know why he thought his plan would work anymore it just looked real bad to any outsider.
15. A character that you used to hate but now you love them
Honestly I don’t know
16. Favourite pairing
Leaf x Crow, they’re nonsensical and the ship’s dumb but that was got me into editing
17. Least favourite pairing
tbh most of them
18. Favourite friendship
Gotta go with the classics. Good old fashioned Firestar, Greystripe, and Ravenpaw
19. Overrated character
Mapleshade, I literally do not understand the fandom’s extreme attachement to Mapleshade like...she never did anything...Chill. I know bad writing has made the bar very low but please love yourselves a little more than that.
20. Underrated character
Mistystar, what a badass.
21. Best battle/fight
For some reason all I can think of is the fight between Firepaw and Brokenstar, it was kinda cool they had him hold his own (due to Protagonist Powers™) against such an experienced cat. I’ll be honest I’m not sure I have a favorite?
22. Best moment
I always really liked the scene where Tigerstar was exiled and he said “I would have made ThunderClan the most powerful clan ever!” and Bluestar just responded “And how many cats would have to die to make that happen?” what a sick fucking burn
23. Best/saddest death
I think the first death that ever made me cry was Silverstream so...probably that. Honeyfern’s death was real fucked up though.
24. Something you would change if you could
So much, mainly start off with rules and don’t keep changing and adding and taking out more as I feel like, keep shit consistent.
Also Tigerstar is only the villain one time, then he dead.

[Signal Review] Infocrypto – Weatherproof, Accuracte Crypto Signals
Infocrypto Review
+++ Crypto Provider of the Month two times in a row! Affordable Altcoin Signals with High Success rate and Constant BTC Analysis+++
(added 03/2018) ~ Trading Signals for Binance and Bittrex | Bitcoin Analysis ~
%
Average Accuracy Rate
Measured Accuracy Rate on Average since September '18
Infocrypto is a crypto signals channel which is featured on our website for a very long time. In fact, InfoCrypto is listed for exactly a year now and this is like multiple years in crypto-time. So many channels had to go over time, as they couldn’t keep up with our high-quality standards in the long run – but these Brazilian guys are just kicking it. They always have been within the most accurate channels we’ve seen and have been Provider of the Month twice in a row.
When we stumbled upon this channel, we have been pretty happy – it is a yet unknown underdog and provides a GREAT value for the subscription fee. Infocrypto is a bilingual channel (English/Portuguese) by a Brazilian trader group, and they do outstanding work. We tested them in the bear market, and they have shown a consistent high accuracy performance with their signals. Furthermore, we found that the extra channel for BTC analysis is one of the best Bitcoin signals telegram channels right now, and we used their analysis quite a few times as Bitcoin trade alert to scale in and out – they are an excellent Bitcoin signal indicator and also offer free bitcoin trading signals in their public channel. The complete offer by Infocrypto reads as follows:
Altcoin Signals (fantastic results, even in the bear market!)
BTC analysis (strength – the analysis I read was spot on)
VIP CHAT with members
Personal Support and Portfolio Advice
See some more features of Infocrypto here:
Many extra bots, which can be used for extra trades (like a bot that measures current volume changes on altcoin pairs and alerts you if a suspicious pattern comes up)
Crypto Signals Review
Infocrypto provides their crypto trading signals often in a technical way. You will get a screenshot of their technical analysis and find the entry points and targets within. This is also of educational value and shows they are not copying any crypto trading signals but provide precise footwork they made themselves. They often use Heiken Ashi and Ichimoku clouds as an indicator. Infocrypto offer a separate channel only for Bitcoin Analysis, so you get very, very frequent updates about Bitcoins recent moves and how a pro trader would interpret it. Have an example here:
Infocrypto signals are very high probability trades. They have proven this month by month and ended rarely below the ’80s, percentage-wise. In this in the worst times to trade altcoins on Binance and Bittrex. They don’t go for mooooon targets, but reasonable slow and steady account increasing targets. Very down-to-earth and therefore very successful. Impressive: even if they use stop/loss most often with a decent Risk:Reward ratio, the hit rate is phenomenal.
Infocrypto delivers between 30 to 40 Altcoin signals per month, and get rarely stopped out more than 5 times, so they play a really safe card here. Their crypto signals have been golden – I had not one loser in my test period. Besides the altcoin trading signals, there have been several Bitcoin and informational updates along the way. If one has been keen to do so, yeah, you could have used them as BitMEX signals. The bear market cycle had a strict hand on us, and still, they have been successful. What has been helpful in this situation, was the given technical analysis and the lessons on how to stagger your entry on the buy levels.
Signals Example
This ENJ signal played out exceptionally well. Prior to the signal above they advised to accumulate ENJ in the 750s and hold it. Later on, the signal came in the 900s. The targets have been relatively low at the beginning and achieved in one go, but Infocrypto saw the storm brewing and advised to hold it for above the targets, updated the strategy for this coin and its special situation. This way they managed it to have an exceptional success.
And here is how it has turned out on the chart, it literally exploded:
The Support
I had a great support person in a direct line a hand and got severe and reliable answers. The chat room was not too helpful for me, as the conversation was mainly in Portuguese. However, Lalo and his team are always around and very friendly/helpful guys.
The Critique
Frequent Bitcoin updates, lots of useful bots, and winning signals even in the worst markets. Cannot complain actually. However, there are few things to consider: You don’t get that many signals and such an insane hit rate with very large targets – the targets are relatively modest, hence they are easily reachable. The plain amount of signals suggest to make use of an auto trader, to reap the full potential of a subscription with Infocrypto, though it is not available.
What makes this channel unique?
Even in the dirtiest market action, Infocrypto delivered great successful. They are here for a long time, we never heard a single complaint about their services and their renewal rate is very high. Their analyst breathes bitcoin charts, and can’t stop pushing analysis for it. To us, one of the most underrated channels – cheap and full of value! A true sleeper hit. Furthermore, we are beta-testing their upcoming bot, which is about to be released really soon. The great results they had even in the most bearish environment might become even better with the help of it. They are working on tons of bots right now, a few have been already released and gave already results. One example: the volume bot, which scans several exchanges and the volume behavior on trading pairs – this can give hints about upcoming price increases and provided very good results so far. Great work! I
The Judgement
InfoCrypto is a no-brainer to me – they stood the test of time and staying profitable that much in these times, speaks tons about their quality, not to mention the very precious Bitcoin updates, which help to scale in and out. The crypto signals for Binance and Bittrex are very good and come with a high probability. However, the targets are often not as wide as they could be. The amount of signals is high, so if you like to trade a lot, this is for you.

Customer Review
This is a customer review by Silvere, a verified member of Infocrypto:
I did subscribe to Infocrypto in September 2018, so 8 month ago. I have been directly « seduced » by the quality their organization, and the clarity of their signals (always a chart with annotations on it, in a constant format, with comments when needed).
So, I stayed around, and overtime, I’ve been really pleased to witness that they are are always investing on development to have more accuracies on their signals, providing new tools and looking to make them always more accessible end easy to use.
Over time, I found also very good friends with some members and the admins, as they are very accessible as humans, too. The “ambiance” on the chat is very friendly, respectful and dynamic, always someone to answer any questions or talk about personals analysis or the “official signals”.
About their signals:
They are providing swing trading signals, that make them easy to follow even for people that can be online only once or twice a day.
The calls focus on Binance Altcoins with the goal to increase our Btc balance.
The signals are stored on a Bot that has interactive functions (isn’t it cool?). So, any time I can ask the bot “/buylist“ and I will have a list of all the active signals that are inside the buy zone! I just think it’s brilliant, it saves me so much time. The bot has also other functions that I won’t explain here.
They have a channel that automatically sends a notification when a target is reached, this is very helpful for me. Whenever I see that one of the signals I did follow, reached its first target, I log in my account and move the SL to break even and lock my gains… No need to manually use an application to create alerts etc.
They are also providing a channel dedicated to Bitcoin analysis as a base for the overall market sentiment.
Frequency of the signals:
That will really depend on their analysis of the market, so when they expect the market to correct, they will send very little signals, and telling us that it’s probably risky to enter now. I really appreciate this mindset that I believe is way more professional than trying to send signals all day long every day.
When the Alt market is bullish, they send a good number of signals (can be up to 6-7) on very bullish days. The coins are always on accumulation zone (proper swing trades), so NO FOMO CALLS.
My experience following this provider gave me an experience of a more relaxed way of trading. Most of the time when a coin “pumps” we are already on it since the middle or end of his accumulation phase.
How I play their signals:
This style requires patience some time (most of the signals still reach TP1 in less than 2 days but some need up to weeks to mature -mostly during this bear market where we are cruelly lacking on volume-). I will say a good organization to makes still good gains, even in these circumstances.
Let me explain myself: Over time, I did found that using around 10% or less of my portfolio in each signal, allow myself to enter a decent amount of them with a good risk management strategy. Placing the SL in profit after the first Target reached allow me to de-risk myself, so to open more positions without increasing my exposure.
Each signal have comes with 5 targets, so to say with the potential of aiming for long term targets, as well as small fastest targets.
I usually close 30% of my position on Target 1, 20% on Target 2, 20% on Target 3, 15% on Target 4 and 5, and move my Stop loss manually with the help of the FIB retracement tool on the 4 hours TF chart. That way I end up between 3% to 15% in gains (in BTC) monthly just by following their calls.
For the faster traders, they are developing a new automated signal system, where they will provide scalps signals, I think it will be ready in April, I’m excited to see what it will bring to my portfolio.
Conclusion:
Obviously, I wouldn’t be writing these words here, if I’d be not satisfied by their service, also I wouldn’t have chosen to stay with them all the time.
I can’t really find any negative point. The only thing worth criticizing lately, might be that the chat gets a little overloaded, which might come wth success and the growing number of subscribers . But all the important information are on special channels, tidily organized.

Golf — Weekly 18 — Marc Leishman ready to shed “underrated” label?
A continuing story of perseverance, a developing story of dubiousness, a unique story of benevolence.
This week’s edition of the Weekly 18 has all of ’em, starting with a story that almost never happened.
1. Even before his title contention at the Dell Technologies Championship two weeks ago and his victory at the BMW Championship on Sunday, the scuttlebutt within golf circles was that Marc Leishman just might be the world’s most underrated player. In fact, it’s a notion that has been suggested so much in recent weeks that it might be enough to insist he isn’t underrated anymore. Whatever the case, this much we know: He’s really good. With one event left in the season, Leishman owns two wins, seven top-10s, 15 top-25s and made the cut at all four majors. He’s not flashy. He doesn’t wow crowds with massive drives or incredible putting performances. He’s just really good — and that’s enough.
2. The story has been told before. It has been told so much, in fact, that it might not still have the impact that it should. But the story of Audrey Leishman’s health battle, one which left her in a coma two years ago with a 5 percent chance of living, is worth telling again. I wrote about it when he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational back in March and since then, the couple has welcomed a third child to the family. Here’s the operative quote from Leishman: “I was ready to give it away. If Audrey had passed away, I was going to be a dad and that was it. It didn’t cross my mind to keep playing golf.” All of which makes his current success even more substantial.
3. One of the best perks of reaching the Tour Championship — you know, other than all those extra greenbacks lining your pockets, even for a last-place finish — is that it comes with invitations into each of the next year’s first three major championships. (The PGA Championship isn’t always a given, solely based on this qualification.) There’s usually one player who earns that golden ticket, one guy who clinches a first trip down Magnolia Lane based on his play during the first three playoff events. This year, that player is Tony Finau. He has never competed in the Masters, and while that may have seemed like a foregone conclusion, he can now start making plans. “[It] means everything,” Finau said. “The four majors, four WGCs. To have those locked in next year would be huge. You play to play against the best players in the world and get in those fields.”
4. As noted on the telecast as he finished Sunday, this was the first tournament in which Jason Day posted four rounds under par since May, when he lost in a playoff at the Byron Nelson. It was an important one, too. Day is trying to salvage something at the end of what has been a trying season, both on and off the golf course. Prior to this past week, he announced that longtime caddie Colin Swatton wouldn’t be on the bag, leading to speculation that he was grasping for an answer that might not exist. Instead, he finished in fourth place — and now has one more chance at that elusive victory before the season is over.
5. Day won a brand-new BMW M760i for his hole-in-one at the 17th hole on Friday afternoon. He gave it right back to the Evans Scholars Foundation, which helps fund the educations of young caddies, and BMW tossed in an extra $100,000, as well. “I realized that someone came in and said they’re giving $100,000 to the Evans Scholars Foundation,” Day said. “I’m like, that goes toward helping someone go through college. I talked to my agent about it, ‘Can we do that with the car?'” Yes, he can. Classy move.
Rickie Fowler and caddie Joe Skovron are one of five of the player-caddie pairs in the world top 10 in which the man on the bag has never looped in a professional capacity for any other player than their current boss. Gregory Shamus/Getty Images
6. Caddies matter, I wholeheartedly believe that. Years ago, I asked PGA Tour pros to quantify the impact of a strong looper on their performance. The guesses — and yes, they were all just guesses — ranged from a full stroke per round to just one stroke per tournament. As if that alone isn’t a big enough variable, consider this: A “good caddie” can’t be judged solely on past experience. In other words, the guy who helps one player on the bag might not be right for another. As if to only support that point, five of the world’s top-10 players currently employ caddies who didn’t previously serve as a professional in that role for somebody else. Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler employ men who are, respectively, a brother, a teacher, a friend, a friend and a fellow pro golfer. Yes, a good caddie can have a positive impact on a player’s performance. But there’s no singular blueprint as to what a “good caddie” really is.
7. Patrick Cantlay has always been a can’t-miss kid. He was all-everything as an amateur, nearly posting a 59 at the Travelers Championship when he was just 19. Since then, he has suffered through some health issues and personal setbacks, but the talent has never left. This year, playing a limited schedule to protect a balky back, Cantlay made the cut in all dozen tournaments he has played, including a second-place finish in Tampa, third place at Hilton Head and results of 10th, 13th and ninth in the first three playoff events. With a final-hole two-putt birdie on Sunday, he not only squeezed into the Tour Championship field, like Finau, he’ll be able to cherry-pick a schedule next year that includes competing in each of the first three majors. Expect to see his name on a lot more leaderboards when he does.
8. Strange stat of the week: With Rory McIlroy failing to reach the Tour Championship, this makes eight of the 10 FedEx Cup champions who have failed to reach the playoff finale one year later. The only two who have returned? Brandt Snedeker in 2014 and Jordan Spieth three years later.
9. The changes have yet to be announced, but we can now readily assume that alterations to the FedEx Cup schedule will happen for the 2019 season. It’s possible there will only be three playoff events and likely that they’ll end on or before Labor Day, offering more of an offseason for both players and fans. Here’s one more potential change that has been floated: Starting in two years, the Tour Championship might be played in the regular 30-man field from Wednesday through Sunday, with a shortened field — maybe a half-dozen players — competing for an additional winner-take-all prize on Sunday afternoon. I’ll write more about this in a piece early this coming week, but it could be the perfect way to appease both players and fans.
10. First things first: The biggest story from this week’s Evian Championship — the LPGA’s fifth major chronologically, if not also in respectability — was indeed the champion. Anna Nordqvist won her first major in 2009, but looked like she might claim a second at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open, until a delayed ruling cost her 2 strokes in the final round. Consider this victory a healthy dose of karma, as Nordqvist got into the clubhouse, held onto a share of the lead, then survived a playoff with Brittany Altomare to clinch the title with a bogey on the sleet-splattered first extra hole.
Anna Nordqvist’s second major title came in a playoff victory Sunday at the Evian Championship in France. And just like her last close call at a major — the 2016 U.S. Open — there was plenty of controversy surrounding the tournament. Stuart Franklin/Getty Images
11. Speaking of karma, it can often be a you-know-what. After the literally and figurative mess that rained down upon the Evian earlier in the week, perhaps we should’ve expected it to end in a playoff on the long, difficult-to-reach par-4 18th hole while it was sleeting and the grounds crew was squeegeeing the final green. But, hey, it could have been worse: If the playoff had continued, the second extra hole would’ve been played on the same 18th hole, followed by the third extra hole on — you guessed it — the 18th again.
12. Now let’s get to that bigger controversy. On Thursday morning, with most players in the early wave already on the course in treacherous conditions, play was suspended and quickly postponed for the remainder of the day. Rather than continue playing from that point on Friday, officials invoked a long-standing rule to wipe out all scores and begin from scratch with the event relegated to 54 holes. Strictly by the book, it was a legal move by LPGA/LET standards, but it’s certainly a bad look — especially for a tourney that was only deemed a major in 2013.
13. The reason officials decided to scrap those initials scores? It was considered an equality issue — or more to the point, an inequality issue, since nearly half the players had to compete in poor conditions while the rest wouldn’t start their rounds until a glorious, calm Friday morning. Well, this just in: Golf isn’t fair. It’s not supposed to be. As many players rightly insisted after the decision, this is an outdoor sport. Getting the right side of the draw or the luck of the land is an integral part of the game. This is also a dangerous precedent for the LPGA. The next time bad weather forces an early-Thursday suspension, those players on the bottom of the board will be able to cite this decision as rationale for a similar do-over.
14. The story of this decision would have — or at least could have — ended as Thursday faded into Friday, except for a big asterisk. That would be the one attached to Sung Hyun Park’s opening-round 8-under 63. The world’s third-ranked player initially started with a quadruple-bogey and triple-bogey, standing at 6-over when the suspension began. Good for Park in taking advantage of a second chance, but the 14-shot swing only shined a greater spotlight on the decision makers.
After Marc Leishman’s wife Audrey nearly died two years ago before the Masters, the Aussie is bringing awareness to the disease that nearly killed her. His win at the BMW Championship will surely help that cause.
The shot Phil Mickelson needed to advance to the Tour Championship looked good all the way, but it ran just over the edge of the hole, probably traveling a bit too fast to drop.
Marc Leishman wins the BMW Championship with a tournament record 4-under 67 in Sunday’s final round.

15. Let’s end the Evian talk on a positive note. Ai Miyazato played her final LPGA round on Sunday, finishing while surrounded by many of her fellow professionals who’d come to the 18th hole to greet her — and by Gary Player, who brought a bouquet of flowers. The final LPGA win total for Miyazato rests at nine, though perhaps the most surprising thing about her illustrious career is that despite 10 top-10 finishes at majors, she never won any of them. However, ask anyone associated with the LPGA and they’ll maintain her biggest impact was her personality and demeanor, that ever-present smile easily the lasting image of her career.
16. David Skinns is 35 years old. He has never owned a PGA Tour card. In fact, he’s only played in three PGA Tour events, making the cut in one, the 2014 Puerto Rico Open, for which he earned a whopping $21,306. This week, though, he was so close he could almost taste it. Skinns needed a top-five finish at the Boise Open — the second event of the Web.com Tour Finals — to clinch that long-elusive card. With rounds of 69-66, he was T-9 at the midway point … when his wife went into labor with their second child. Skinns promptly withdrew from the tournament and returned home to Georgia for the birth.
17. Maybe that sounds like an easy decision to some people. Family comes first, we always say. And so when your family needs you — especially when that family is expanding — you’re supposed to drop everything and be with them. And yet, it’s also easy to see it from the other side. If Skinns believed the best way to provide for his family was to clinch his PGA Tour card and play for greater riches over the next 12 months, he couldn’t really be faulted for that decision, either. Instead, he chose to withdraw, with everything on the line for his career. What a commendable move, one that deserves all the respect he’ll receive.
18. There are plenty of players to root for at the Web Finals. The journeymen, the dreamers, the come-backers — all of them worthy of support. But I’m not sure any of ’em will have more of it from the masses during the final two events than Skinns.
