pretty good month over all! busy month but still squeezed in a decent amount of writing, plus went on my second writing retreat of the year which was so fun (and productive)! ☺️

original writing updates:

as i mentioned above, went on a writing retreat with my friends last week! it was so so fun and i miss them all so badly. 🥺 we had such a great time and got a lot of work done too. i think i wrote about 3k words over all, plus gave a presentation on writing action which i think went really well!

i returned to doing ya sci-fi book edits yaaay! i didn't get a ton done, but i at least rewrote the first half of chapter 1 and sent it to my mentor.

i sent the last ~100 pages of ya sci-fi book to my critique group! and we are supposed to discuss it in a few days 😅 which i am nervous about but hopefully they enjoy it lol.

on the retreat, i worked a bit on the arctic monster book which i had not worked on in ages lol. but i had fun writing it again and hope to keep working on it since i have neglected it for so long 🥲

i also did some brainstorming for space dads book on the retreat, which helped me get some new inspiration/ideas for it! i keep wanting to just start writing it and i'm not sure if i'm quiiiite there yet—but i do want to keep at least working on outlining it during august and who knows...maybe write a scene or two of it??

fic updates:

not a whole lot on the fic front this month, but i did write about 3k more words of bsd regency au ch 4! hoping i can finish the chapter during august, which will bring me to the approximate halfway point of the fic so WOOO!!

august is also going to be quite busy for me, but hoping i can continue working on a bunch of wips so yaaayy wish me luck! 🫶
