Okay, so I’ve been thinking this since the trailer that showed Teen holding Sr. Scratchy…
…but I don’t think he’s Billy. I think he’s Nicholas, albeit done in a way that parallels elements of Billy in the comics.
Instead of being obsessed with Wanda, he’s obsessed with Agatha.
We get a good look of Agnes O’Conner’s dead son’s room, planting the seeds of Nicholas.
Agatha calls him “Rabbit Boy,” and he seems to adore Sr. Scratchy.*
She also pretends they’re mother and son, at one point!
Very specifically, she can’t hear any information about his backstory — his name, his hometown — beyond that his mother died.
And, on that note, Rebecca can’t be dead; I simply won’t allow it. And, she must be played by Idina Menzel; I mean, COME ON.
Besides, Billy should be played by a Jewish actor, anyway. Like, I don’t know; Jushua Rush?
Agatha seemed to indicate that her coven betrayed her first. What if Nicholas died, as a result? And then, he was reborn, in modern day, as Teen? Could we finally get Mephisto, by the way?
*Now, admittedly, Billy did also pet Sr. Scratchy in “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” and we did see that shot of Teen Marvelbounding Billy, but the latter could be a scarlet herring, playing on people’s assumptions that he’s Billy.
I might be missing some stuff; feel free to add on. But I do want to timestamp this:
9/19/24 5:13AM, EDT
1:09PM Edit: I just remembered something I forgot! The brooch is a locket, containing a lock(e?) of hair! Could it be Nicholas’?

Okay, I can’t find the ask that requests this pairing, but I know I got a request for it somewhere, so I’m just posting it normally
Anyways, so this was the first oc x canon requested, by @amythecat2001, and this is Purple Plum Cookie
The oc also belongs to @amythecat2001, and her name is Rose Tea Cookie
Okay, so with her name, full disclosure I think I forgot the “Tea” part of Rose Tea when I came up with her name (as well as the “Juice” in “Prune Juice”), because I was like “okay, what’s in between prunes and flowers?” and I learned that prunes are basically just dried plums, so I decided to base her off of those. But I really liked how the plums looked, so I just stuck with it
European plums (since I think those are the specific kind):
Tumblr media
So I’m gonna go ahead and say that she’s the previously mentioned fankid who doesn’t really look like her parents but I liked the design of
She looked like a fantasy magic user that I really want to see in a video game
Like I didn’t intend for her hair to be entirely curly, it was just supposed to be some of her hair like Rose Tea, but I liked how it looked, so I kept it. Though some of her hair got obscured by her staff. I also gave her those pink parts at the top to reference the red spots on the plums
Speaking of the spots, I gave her a bunch of plums in her staff and brooch because that’s what she is. Though originally the plums were darker and the spots lighter, until I looked at the references again and realized that it was the other way around, so I changed that
I realized when I was doing the feet, I realized neither Prune Juice or Rose Tea have visible feet, but I decided to keep her with boots anyways. I gave her long boots because why not
If I’m being honest, I feel like her dough is too light, but both characters have light dough tones, so not much I can do. But I did give her blush because I thought it looked good
Oh also, I was considering giving her a bottom hair gradient, but I thought it made the hair design too much, so I didn’t do that
And also the colored sketch was the original draft of her I did before I did her design
I’m sorry, my brain’s not entirely working when it comes to explaining the design. Just know that I like it a lot, even if I admit she probably doesn’t look enough like her parents. Let’s get on to her character
So she’s a wizard that graduated from Parfaedia. Her magic is plant/juice based, which is what those circles you see on the staff are. But she also makes and uses potions, which she learned from her father
She’s a bit absent minded and directionally challenged, she will have points where she’s just like “wait…where am I?” or “what am I doing?” because she forgot. She usually means well, she just doesn’t always know what she’s doing
But don’t let that fool you, she’s very intelligent and has a lot of ingenuity. She uses potions alongside her magic so she could cover her bases if her magic’s depleted, or she needs something specific
I was listening to Licorice’s Cookie Trial theme, so I just imagine her wandering through a dark forest. I dunno, I just needed something to say
To be honest I feel like if I knew more about Rose Tea, it might help me get a better idea of character for Purple Plum, but ah well
So yeah I think that’s about it. Hope you enjoy

so this here is auggie: semi finalized!!! halliwell's... probably? not going to be his last name but i had no clue what surname to give him so its acting as a stand in aaa
so this is the blorbo. the new bsd oc i have been working on. from the fanfic i am Struggling with. same guy from the Art a while ago. august (i like the month okay) whatever last name i decide on at a later date.
notes!
his ability is called lucy locket! i actually came up with the ability's function first, and then i found that it fit pretty well. basically its a pocket dimension accessed via the users pockets. so far it has infinite storage, but whatever is added or removed at the present moment has to have been able to fit in the pocket originally. so you cant add/remove a large waterbottle from tiny jean pockets, for example. i like to think it only works when august himself pulls something out or puts something in. so. yknow. "not a penny was there in it, only ribbon round it". hehe
hes 25 because as much as a harp on bsd i also suck with ages so i rng-ed a number between 21 and 27 chcbdj
his birthday is june 21st! stole that from james orchard halliwell (see where that came from now) phillipps, bc he was the first to record the nursery rhyme. i also think him being born on the summer solstice in june but being named august is soo funny.
forgot to add it in correctly but his height is 5'8! that's about 173 cm? i think? i rounded it up technically its only like. 172.72?
168??? pounds??? which is apparently like 76kg? look i have no clue how weights work either i just took my own weight looked up the average for an adult and made something up. dont expect it to make sense.
bloodtype is a! i thought it was weird that the blood types were mentioned at all in the character bios but then i remembered the whole stereotype thing so i just picked whatever i thought fit.
he likes goldfish (hence the socks and earrings), rice (its rice), and hats (because they are so neat)! i was thinking about funny sock patterns and then i was looking at the wiki page for catherine maria fischer (the supposed kitty fisher in the nursery rhyme) and one of her paintings had a fishbowl in it. and then i thought about yoimiya because i had been drawing her before and. yknow. he definitely does has a small hat collection, but he'd rather them not be damaged at work. theyre saved for parties and formal gatherings!
dislikes are long explanations, pollen (allergy 😔), and unpleasant textures (like bedsheets that give you the Feeling when you scratch them). he likes it when people get to the point, and im projecting my own sensory issues onto him hxjsj
moving on we have design notes!
Tumblr media
so here's our boy.
starting with the shirt, its actually based on one of the shirts i own. it's got the solid torso and the loose sheer sleeves, and i thought that was neat! though for him i think the sleeves would be a bit more opaque, and he's wearing a vest!
as for the tie you can see i noted that it's a bit of a cross between a criss cross tie and like... a sailor tie? i know it says bolo but thats because the word i was looking for was Tie Brooch for the pendant in the middle.
the cargo shorts!!! so obviously to best use his ability august needs something with rather large pockets, but i didn't know how to add those in. initially i wanted to go with some tights or normal slacks and have him wear a hoodie, but it was kind of... eh? so i tried cargo pants but those didn't work either. so then i tried on shorts and i Realized what needed to be done fhdjjws
knee high socks! i asked what how silly we should get with them and eni said knee highs and nobody said ankle with silly patterns so i combined the two! i think the combination is really funny.
the shoes! theyre just sneakers. comfy!
moving on
Tumblr media
i dont actually like this doodle but we're gonna have to bear with it augu
the earrings! theyre little fishies! initially i had different earrings planned but i wanted the fish socks to match with something hdhdhdh
hair tie! august has got the rest of his hair tied up with a little bow. i think its cute bfbdbd
and so you can see what i meant, here's the page of concepts i did!
Tumblr media
you can see the cargo pants, the hoodie, as well as the old earring design. i was playing around with the sleeves for a while xhdhhs
plus i got silly with one so maybe ill do smth with that at some point idk idk

This was not bad. I didn't enjoy some of storylines, but overall, I enjoyed this book. I liked the interactions between the boys and Ari, and between themselves. (They are brothers, triplets, and there's no romantic or sexual interactions between them.) I enjoyed Ari's family interactions, too. I think Sam Hall nailed it there.
Rambly thoughts under the cut, as always.
I'm going to be honest, the guys on the cover art don't look as tall or broad as I expected, given their descriptions.
-
"I’m betting not a Macca’s cheeseburger, I thought darkly."
I went on a road trip with 2 Aussies years ago. I miss them terribly, and Macca's makes me think of them 💚
-
It's the barista. I forgot until Ariadne saw the three moons. The bartender gave the woman in the last book a drink, and she went to another world. One with three moons. The new barista in Ariadne's dad's cafe made her a drink, and she said how geat it was. Then she was through a portal to another world.
Is it the same person? I don't remember his name in the other book. Does he eventually get a happy ending, too? I hope so.
-
"My brain had finally thinked everything it could thunk."
-
This is the second book this year to reference Saint Christopher.
Tumblr media
-
"As I pawed through the box, I found Roman era fibulae; those bronze brooches used to pin cloaks on with..."
I love when work collides with my real life. We sell fibulae! (And other weapons/historical clothing/etc.)
-
“My work here is done. We’re even now, Theo.”
Iiiiiinteresting. What do you know, Theo?
-
Is Ari's family from Atlantis? Or the alternate Greece? Is that why they've never gone to Greece, because it's so different than what they know?
-
Eww, Harry Potter reference.
(Nostalgia be damned, we give no kickbacks to terfs.)
-
I can't say I'm enjoying the Griff storyline. The book has completely changed tone. Up til this point we've spent the whole book telling us how hot and ready the 3 minotaurs are, and there's been basically no action, and BOOM.
Dad is a cock block (even though this is EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED FOR ARI) and Ari is a mother to a psychic griffin. She had none of the baby making fun, and all of the responsibilities. This fills the rest of the trials, I guess.
Do they at least get to bone before the end of the book?
-
'“They will look nice,” I replied, “because everyone will be wearing what suits them and makes them happy. The photos will show a family.”'
I like this idea. I used this idea, actually. We had a color, ut everyonw got to choose what they wanted and felt comfortable in. And we all looked FABULOUS. Good choice, Ari.
I wonder what the boys will wear?
-
I'm not religious, I fell out of that a long time ago. Specifically, I wasn't Greek Orthodox, though I'm a little familiar. We had a friend who was, so I knew a little.
It's jarring for me to see Christianity pop up in my romance. Specifically monster romance. I get that religion is a big, beautiful thing in a lot of people's lives, and I'm happy they feel that way! It just wasn't and isn't for me, and that's hard to reconcile in pleasure reading.
-
After reading the end, and the afterward, it seems like Griff storyline wasn't originally intended and kinda took over. And I do feel like it reads that way. It was cute, for the most part, but completely took over and changed the direction of the story. I'm not opposed to pregnancy or children in my romance, but knowing beforehand is much appreciated. This felt like a last minute decision, with more detail than I personally found necessary.
And yes, FINALLY they all boned. Huzzah!
(the last time I have an Okay/3 star review to a book in this genre, the author posted a rant on their facebook about how 3 star reviews are Bad, and people should only give 4 or 5 star reviews. so I'm anxious over this one, I guess?)
Tumblr media
Couldn't decide what to read next, so I did a coin toss. Grab the Bull by the Horns by Sam Hall won. I enjoyed Orc-ward Encounters, I hope this one is just as good!

Pinocchio AU
Okay people want the explanation for this comic so here it goes. It’s long and complicated and MESSED UP because of course it is, this is me. I’m going to write in points because my small tired brain can’t handle good english atm but basically to sum up the Adrien was a sentimonster theory or Pinocchio AU as I like to call it:
Young married Emilie and Gabriel can’t have kids. Gabriel reluctantly accepts this fate and even brings up adoption as a possibility once, but Emilie doesn’t want to hear any of that. She’s a bit of a Marinette in the sense that she pictures this romanticized ideal life for herself and a child—her flesh and blood—HAS to be in it.
They keep trying to get a baby while other young families Emilie knows keep growing. She feels left out and hurt and depressed, then her newlywed twin sister announces she’s expecting a baby too and something within Emilie just unhinges.
She eventually lies to some of her friends, who she was out for coffee with, that she’s pregnant too. She mostly does it just to see their reaction and feel what it would be like but it quickly spirals out of control where she just starts pretending she’s pregnant until you can’t even tell if she believes it herself.
Gabriel is confused at first because he hears the news second hand (a friend/family member congratulating him) so he’s apprehensive when he approaches his wife but she convinces him that they really are getting a baby and Gabriel is ecstatic.
It’s only later at a doctor’s check up that Gabriel learns that she indeed is not pregnant. The doctor even speaks to him alone explaining that his wife is in denial and that he should make sure she goes to see a psychiatrist, something she definitely wouldn’t do alone.
Gabriel is unsuccessful with that because he’s not entirely persistent, doesn’t want to be the guy with the crazy wife having to tell everyone she lied about being pregnant, and hopelessly believes she’ll just get over it eventually.
That is until her “pregnancy is near due”—her sister already had Félix in England a few months ago—and he stumbles on her transformed with her peacock miraculous (they already have both of them) creating a sentimonster newborn.
They have a huge fight about it but because Emilie refuses to destroy it, won’t tell Gabriel where the amok is, and Gabriel can’t just hurt the baby with his hands, Emilie just… wins. Fucked up, yeah?
Now she tried creating kids before this one, using her imagination to try and blend her and Gabriel’s looks but it just wasn’t working. So she decided to copy of photos of baby Félix because he already looked almost like a copy of his mother, and Amélie and Emilie already looked alike so it’s not so weird?—is what her mind was telling her.
She didn’t dare alter his looks but she decided to give the baby Gabriel’s eye color to include the “father” in some way. (Yes in that comic I made I gave Adrien a mix of green and gray but that was mainly to get the point across to the perceptive readers)
Now we got Adrien, a normal baby boy to the whole world except for Gabriel who’s forced into his wife’s fantasy through social expectations.
Why are we only at this point and this post is already so long AAAAAAAA!!!
Adrien physically basically grows in a way where Emilie just keeps changing his appearance to match what Félix looked like a few months prior.
Mentally he’s like a robot just taking in information without really needing to learn it. So Emilie decides when he says his first word, she decides when he learns to walk,… He knows how to walk, he just wasn’t given the command to do so yet.
But even so he does develop a personality over time, just slower, because unlike a normal child who’s always testing his boundaries, how far they’re allowed to go until they’re in real trouble, Adrien just can’t misbehave. At all.
But he does have his favorite foods and favorite toys, and jokes that make him laugh the most. The problem is just that Emilie could just decide that his favorite food is strawberries and he’d just start acting accordingly, rewiring his belief.
He also isn’t allowed to argue or be mean to others which is why Félix thinks he’s a goody two-shoes weirdo while Chloé the brat adores him.
This behavior isn’t so hard to hide with a toddler who’s fickle but it’s harder and harder as the kid grows. Which is why the family becomes very secluded over time.
Gabriel always keeps distance with his “son”. He’s not Dad, he’s Father, he doesn’t do hugs and cuddles, he doesn’t say I love you. But Adrien knows he loves him because his mom told him so and he loves him back unconditionally because Mom said that’s what families do.
Now even though Gabriel is traumatized by this whole ordeal and knowing Adrien “isn’t real” freaks him out he does soften a bit over time. I’m going to give an awful example but like someone who hates cats softening for a cat that their partner/roommate decided to get/had from before. Continuing with this example: But still becoming appalled when the cat starts acting odd/unusually.
Okay I think you get the gist. Let’s move on…
Emilie loves her son more and more as he grows and his sentimonster behaviours start bothering her more and more too. She hates being reminded that he’s not a real boy by people mentioning he looks young for his age because Emilie forgot to make him grow for a while. She hates when he does everything like he’s told. She hates that he has no real friends because they’re afraid to expose him to the outside too much and without supervision. She hates to think about his future.
Her desire for him to be real keeps growing and is what drives her to search for a solution in the miraculous spellbook.
She cracks the script after years, when Adrien is nearly a teen, and finds a way to transfer the creators soul into a sentimonster.
It’s a long process that takes time and while she falls ill to everyone around her, Adrien becomes more real.
Gabriel starts realizing what’s happening when he notices Adrien hesitate for a second when he’s playing a video game and Gabriel wants him to do something, groan when he gets bothered watching TV, huff, complain, have slightly opposing opinions to his and Emilie’s, when he argues with his mother when she tells him she’s feeling fine; when he notices his son’s eyes are greener. Or is it all in his head?
He confronts his wife too late, when she’s extremely ill already, her normally vibrant eyes dulled match Adrien’s bluish gray, and he pieces together in his head what she’s doing.
Before Gabriel could properly think what to do to stop the love of his life from turning into a lifeless doll, in a fit of panic he tries to take her wedding band (where he knows Adrien’s amok is) to get rid of Adrien instead, but is unsuccessful in getting it off her so he snatches her peacock brooch instead (which she needs to complete the spell obvs) and breaks it. (Heyoo! broken peacock miraculous. things are coming together)
Because the spell was almost complete anyway it’s Emilie who falls unconscious. But she doesn’t disappear because she’s not a real sentimonster, she just becomes dormant like one.
This is the point in the story where Gabriel makes it seem like Emilie ran away or something like that—basically disappear. Now he’s living knowing he has an almost sentimonster wife in the basement, knowing he almost killed his son (or her), and having to care for a son that suddenly became much more alive, questioning, arguing, angry, screaming, not accepting, crying, grieving, staring at him with Emilie’s eyes.
Instead of becoming a real parent, Gabriel shuts him out.
Soon Adrien evolves desires for socializing, company, getting away from the suffocating home which eventually leads to him going to a public school.
He slowly starts to live life freely without the restrictions that were put around his thoughts.
Gabriel has an even stranger relationship with Adrien now because he still loves him in a way but also holds resentment toward him. But mostly he sees him as something valuable.
The show happens here…  And now finally we get to the comic…
Gabriel gets a hold of the ladybug and black cat miraculouses. (There’s no epic fight in his lair as you see there’s no Ladybug in the comic but that’s not really important)
What’s important is that Gabriel had deciphered the miraculous spellbook with the help of Emilie’s notes and had decided to use the unification’s “wish” power to awaken Emilie.
He’s aware he’ll need to sacrifice something for the wish to come true and he’s certain Adrien should be enough because the soul inside him is literally the one thing Emilie is missing.
✨Adrien (poor boy just lost his miraculous) is taken to Gabriel’s lair, where he finds out his father is Hawk Moth, sees his mother, learns he’s a sentimonster, and that he’s going to become a sacrifice ✨
Of course the last part is not what happens. It’s Gabriel who ends up being sacrificed.
I can’t decide if Gabriel ends up sacrificing himself because he changed his mind in the last moment while Adrien was screaming for him to stop, OR  because he didn’t love Adrien enough for him to be considered an equal exchange for his wife… O.O
But anyhow…
Emilie wakes up with Gabriel’s soul within her (hence the bluish gray eyes in the comic).
Adrien is traumatized for life.
This took me hours to write… I knew there was a reason why I didn’t want to do it. I hope I didn’t forget anything and my brain made sense of it all
Well there you have it, peeps. The Pinocchio AU. It’s as messed up as my sleep schedule. Good night.

I usually like your meta, but "I don't think anyone can replace Mary in Arthur's affections"? I would agree except the game tries to tell us Arthur's crush on Mary is toxic. She's another example of a person who takes advantage of Arthur's kindness to get what she wants, like Dutch and Micah. It's delusional to think she's the one Arthur loves the most when he develops a closer bond with other members of the gang like Charles or Sadie.
Hey there, I'm sorry to hear my last meta didn't strike your fancy. That's absolutely okay, because interpretation is subjective. It be like that, but like all subjective judgments, we can talk about how sound and rooted it is in some facts. You know? Let's talk it out.
"Arthur's crush on Mary is toxic."
I think you have to be specific. I can accept that people think this.
To be a little preemptive... If you mean it’s because she teases him, remember that Arthur, Hosea, John, and Dutch all make fun of each other. They also form the inner circle. In other words (and whether you agree or not), their love expression is rooted in deprecation and calling each other “fool.” But it’s affectionate. It means they’re aware of each other’s flaws and love them in spite of it.
Still, without further elaboration or examples, there's nothing really to hash out. I disagree, and as soon as you bring up examples, I'm happy to discuss.
"She's another example of a person who takes advantage of Arthur's kindness to get what she wants, like Dutch and Micah."
Except, I don't think the game actually posits this? Remember, Mary is the one who wants Arthur to leave the life of crime, and by the end of the game, she lets him go. If you reject to help Mary with her brother and father, all she says is a wistful, "I miss you... Take care of yourself." She doesn't question his love for her; she doesn't question what those years meant. She doesn't say, "HOW ABOUT SOME GOD DAMN FAITH?" like some other colorful characters say. She expresses her feelings, which as far as I can tell, are sincere, and lets him go.
If you agree to help Mary and finish her questline, many people forget that Mary chooses Arthur over her father. The actual parallel here is between Mary and Arthur. They both have overbearing dads, and her last mission with her gives you front row seats as to how he treats and berates her. Like Dutch, Mr. Gillis betrays his child for money. This is a more accurate and closer parallel. I'm specifically talking about the moment Dutch leaves Arthur to die in the oil refinery for bonds. Likewise, Mr. Gillis ruins his relationship with his daughter for money by stealing her brooch. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Let me show you what happens once Arthur gets the brooch back:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mind you this is before he gives the brooch back -- before he reveals he succeeded in his mission. He asks her to take a walk with him, and she agrees. After which, he gives the brooch back:
Tumblr media
At that point, she asks to hang out with him longer. I show these clips because the timing is interesting. Mary reaches a point where her alleged self-interest (helping her father) becomes moot, i.e. it no longer matters. It almost seems as if she forgot that she sent Arthur on an errand to help her father. [/Edit: it’s important to note that Mary also never asks Arthur to retrieve the brooch. While Mary is arguing with her dad, Arthur casually walks away and says, “Mary wait here. I’ll go get the brooch.” All she asks him is: “Don’t hurt anyone!” So it’s telling she actually never asks him to get her anything for material gain!!!]  So already, unlike Dutch (and definitely unlike Micah), Arthur isn't just some means to an end for her. She isn't using him to get money, and she doesn't guilt trip him over how far back they go to get the brooch back. She questions her father’s sense of justice for stealing from his own daughter, and like a good man Arthur retrieves it. Only by the time Arthur returns, Mary is smart enough to realize that the brooch doesn't matter as much as Arthur, in effect choosing him over her family (something Arthur can't even do!!!).
Another counterpoint to your argument that Mary is like Dutch in the game's narrative, I'd like to point out that the game presents us with the EXACT same quandary Mary and Arthur experienced via John and Abigail in the epilogue. Remember that Mary and Arthur couldn't work out because he refused to leave a life of crime. Guess what Abigail does when John likewise refuses to change? She leaves him!!! Not once does the game demonize Abigail over this decision. In fact, it's presented as a climactic turning point for John that he became a rancher, and his reunion with his family is positively staged, with sweet music and a beautiful overlook of Beecher's Hope. Abigail stands on the same moral compass as Mary, which to me, tells us the game wants us to find her situation sympathetic and tragic. She was in Abigail's shoes, only Arthur couldn't turn himself around.
"It's delusional to think she's the one Arthur loves the most when he develops a closer bond with other members of the gang like Charles or Sadie."
I don't think it's delusional. Arthur saves space for the most important people in his life in his journal entry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notably, he wishes for Mary's happiness. In fact, he mentions Mary FIRST! He then asks the younger girls to take care of each other, and then wishes John et family well. Finally, he appeals to Dutch to remember his loyalty. Like, forgive me, but neither Charles nor Sadie eke their way into his final thoughts in a journal that bares his most intimate thoughts. How is it delusional to say that Mary is foremost in this man’s thoughts and heart?
I don't want to deny people who ship Arthur with either Charles or Sadie. I think they do become important figures in Arthur's life, and clearly they care enough about Arthur to want to avenge him years later. However, you have to remember that Arthur has such a long history with Mary that is told to the player (not shown). By the time RDR2 starts, Arthur has known Charles for 6 months, and he meets Sadie at the very start of the game. They simply do not have as much of a past as Arthur and Mary have. This isn't to say you can't ship Arthur with either Charles or Sadie, but I just want to challenge the notion that Arthur has closer bonds with them than he does with Mary. The truth is, the game tells us Mary has been this long and dominant presence in his life, and she's the only one who is important enough to Arthur that she literally can shake his loyalty to the gang life (after all, he promises to run away with her after the Saint Denis bank heist).
But guess who ends up supplanting Mary in terms of Arthur’s loyalties? Dutch. The man who raised him for 20 years. The man who will REMIND Arthur that he raised him for 20 years. The man who constantly says, “Have I taught you nothing?” “What happened to loyalty?” “How about some god damn faith?” “You insist?” Before proceeding to leave both John and Arthur (his supposed adoptive sons) to die the moment they question his authority? The thing is, Dutch both has the years and the actual manipulation to keep Arthur in check. This is why he can’t leave with Mary despite very clearly wanting to. Remember, after their date, he writes about Mary as “a wife” who could provide for him “a normal life” -- which is very much the goal Arthur projects onto John and his family once he receives his TB-induced death sentence!
Mary isn’t taking advantage of Arthur. It also isn’t delusional to take proper stock of how important she is to him. Mary is simply a woman who’s in love with a man who can’t leave a risky, criminal life behind, and by the time the game ends, she’s frankly too old and too mature to wait around for him. So she lets him go, which is imo the healthiest thing anyone’s done for Arthur. Heck, not even Dutch can let him go. Micah can’t let go so bad, he almost kills Arthur lol. In the end too, she presumably spends the rest of her life mourning Arthur. If that isn’t a testament to how much they love each other, I don’t know what is.

Song 1, Song 2
-----------------------------------
It was a day before the ball and you sat in the Great Hall with Pom, Mo, and Valkyrie eating breakfast. A smattering of eggs, bacon, stuffed sausage, hash browns, and toast laid in front of you. You took a small piece of toast and buttered it lightly. Another yawn escaped your lips and blinked several times, trying to shake the feeling of tiny rocks rubbing on your eyeballs.
“How was Hogsmeade?” Mo said dejectedly. His parents had sent him quite the howler after the events in the Forbidden Forest. They banned him from all outdoor excursions and he had to stay in the school for the rest of the year.
Valkyrie shrugged. “It was alright, we just tried on some dresses, and I may or may not have seen Nila naked,” she said, smiling at you and Pom.
Mo raised his head with wide eyes. “You did not.”
Just then, Nila came by and sat down beside Mo. “Hey!” she said, leaning over Mo and grabbing a piece of bacon. Mo was stock still and flushed.
You giggled with Valkyrie. “Morning, Nila.”
Valkyrie raised a brow. “So, do we all have dates?”
You blushed, thinking about Nathan Gill, but more so thinking about Professor Laufeyson’s instructions.
You will go to the ball with this boy,
You will dance with him, have a drink, and do what young girls do at balls.
You gulped, thinking about the last thing he said.
And at the end of the night, you will come to my room, and I will punish you for all of it.
“Y-yes,” you said. Then Pom meekly said “yes” with a small blush. You looked at her, surprised that she had mentioned nothing. Then the three of you looked at Mo and Nila, who looked away from each other uncomfortably.
Nila spoke, a little miffed, “I was asked by Thomas, Jury, Mirwich, and Ali.”
You raised your brows, “wow, that’s great, Nila!”
Mo’s expression darkened, and he turned away further as Nila continued talking. “But I said no.”
She slowly turned towards Mo and looked at him. He looked back, trying to conceal a smile. “And what were you waiting for?” he said.
Valkyrie looked at you and rolled her eyes. You could tell she was itching to interrupt them with some blunt statement like, “just fuck already!”, but you hit her thigh under the table to shut her up.
“I was waiting for this stupid boy to ask me, but he hasn’t seemed to get a clue yet,” Nila said, curling a lock of hair on her finger.
There were a few seconds of anticipation. You saw the realization on Pom’s face, and she brightened immediately. Valkyrie’s leg twitched; she was getting so impatient.
Mo got up and knelt in front of Nila and took her hand. “Nila Odesa, will you go to the ball with me?”
Nila reddened, but nodded profusely.
“You didn’t need to embarrass her,” you said, laughing.
Then, Mo and Nila bid you three adieu and left for a walk in the courtyard. You laughed alongside Valkyrie and Pom at the awkwardness of it all, but you were happy for them. Then, a thought dawned on you, and you turned to Valkyrie.
“Valkyrie, do you have a date?” you said.
Her mouth twitched as if she wanted to say something specific, but she threw you a smirk. “On what planet would I not have one, my sweet Hufflepuff?”
Before you could ask further questions, she changed the subject. “So. Blood on the walls. Was it a prank or not?”
Your heart sank, and all levity fled. The teachers had cleared out the hall upon their arrival. They later confirmed it was all rat blood, and most of the students thought it was a pre-Halloween ball prank. Though you recalled the tension on Headmistress Frigga’s face when she made the announcement. She was holding back.
“What if it’s real?” Pom said. “There is a beast out there. What if it’s not done? What if...that thing...comes after Ken again?” She twisted her napkin in her hands.
You took her hand as a flash of evil yellow eyes surfaced in your mind, and you concealed a shudder. “He’s safe here. As long as we stay in the school, it’ll be okay.” Even though the words came out confidently, you did not feel them. Were you truly safe at school? If it was real, then who had written the message?
“What did they mean by, ‘enemies of the heir, beware’?” Valkyrie said. “Who’s the heir?”
“And of what?” Pom said.
The three of you were quite puzzled about it and your conversation eventually went in circles. You thought about asking Leah, from the switcher book, if she might have some answers. A part of you thought perhaps you should bring this up to your friends; the fact that you had conversations with a book that spoke to you, which was still weird even to Hogwarts standards. But when you opened your mouth, you found yourself stuffing more potatoes into it and forgot what you wanted to say.
The windows closest to the ceiling opened up and owls flew in with morning mail. They dropped letters, packages, and newspapers to the students. Pom caught a letter in a pink envelope while Valkyrie caught Mo’s paper. You were not expecting anything but glanced up to see a large package hurtling towards you, which you caught just before it pegged you in the face.
The package was in a black box with a silver bow tied around it. You touched the bow and rubbed the softness; it was velvet.
“What’s that?” Pom said.
“I don’t know,” you said as you undid the bow. The box opened up to reveal a swath of cool fabric. It was black chiffon with lace patterns all over it. You lifted the fabric out of the box to reveal a beautiful black dress. You gasped at the heft, not too heavy, but it definitely carried some weight. The side of it glittered at the hip while the neck was where the black fabric stooped down to reveal a daring neckline that was covered by translucent chiffon.
“Woah,” Valkyrie and Pom said. “Who sent you that!”
You looked in the box and saw an envelope with a single card with the message: Happy Halloween.
There was a black velvet box underneath the envelope that you did not notice before. You let Valkyrie and Pom occupy themselves with the dress while you popped it open. There was a dark glint as the open box revealed a studded necklace of bright green emeralds. You already had guessed who this was from, but the emeralds were his way of signing it off. A quiet laugh escaped you from how heavy-handed it was, but you felt moved by the thought of his gift. It all seemed far too expensive to take, though he would not listen to a single word you said to oppose it. He would certainly be upset if you did not wear this when he saw you at the ball. You sighed and gave in. Professor Laufeyson was the sort of man that did not even need to be present to sway your choices. You knew that he knew you were utterly wrapped around his fingers.
Valkyrie and Pom sent a tirade of questions your way, but you chalked it up to a secret admirer and that you did not know. You stuffed everything back in the box and popped a bite of sausage into your mouth as you headed out of the Great Hall in a mad shuffle. “See you at the ball tomorrow!” You told them.
The rest of the day passed in a blur as you attended your classes. There was no potions class today, and you just wanted it to end so you could see him. You were slightly alarmed at how your concern for his life had now grown into a mild obsession with the man. A part of you lied to yourself and said that you were still only trying to prevent him from dying, like in your visions. But you knew it was far more than that now. Even if Heimdall came and told you he saw a prophecy that Professor Laufeyson would never die, you could not bear to be away from him. He had taken over your mind in ways that even your visions never could.
You glanced out the window from your common room at the darkness and looked around, blinking. The day really had passed in a blur since you could barely remember your classes. Fatigue hit you like a train as you changed into your nightgown. You fell into bed like a stone and, though you feared sleep these days from knowing what toothy nightmares awaited you, it was also what you desperately needed.
***
It was the night of the ball and you stood in your room and looked at the girl in the mirror. She was definitely not anybody you recognized. There was something cooler, more confident about her. She was in a gorgeous black dress that fit her every single curve. The emerald necklace laid around her neck immaculately, and provided the perfect statement piece to the outfit. You glanced at the plunging neckline and bit your lip. Your breasts were not very large, but this dress accentuated the swell of them. Upon doing a little turn in front of the mirror, you appreciated the curve of your rear with a bashful smile.
You shook your head at the mirror, not believing it, but also thrilled. Tucking a stray baby hair behind your ear, you left your room to head over to the ball. The walk through the halls was busy, with beautifully dressed students heading over to the Great Hall. The boys looked older and more handsome with their suits and dress robes. Some wore a sprig of flowers on their lapel while some fashioned a moving brooch that crawled along their pocket. The flurry of dresses of all colours and shapes and sizes excited your senses.
“Freya?” a voice said from behind you.
You turned around and saw Nathan in black dress robes. His eyes widened when he looked at you. “Wow, you look beautiful - I mean, you’re always pretty - but this - like - wow.”
A laugh bubbled up from your lips as he stumbled for the words. He laughed with you and then held out his arm for you to take. You slid your arm around his and the both of you walked into the Great Hall together.
Though you had spent the last seven years marvelling at the grandiosity of the Great Hall, it still took your breath away. Candles were lit amidst jack-o’-lanterns which floated in the ceiling. There was an ethereal aura of a glittering golden glow that swirled through the air. It moved as you walked through it. The tables were lined with crisp white linens and the centre stage was ready for dancing. There was a band at the far end of the hall that played gentle cocktail music. You spotted a rather grumpy looking group of large toads beside the band and wondered curiously which part of the concert they would make an appearance.
It was a little embarrassing once you realized that everyone you passed was staring at you. You looked into the eyes of people who saw you every day, but this time, they looked at you differently. The staring was perhaps supposed to be flattering, but the long gazes and gawks made you slightly uncomfortable and so you stared at the floor.
You spotted Nila, who wore the peach coloured dress she had bought from Gladrags. She looked beautiful. Her heels were nearly four inches high, and she towered over you. You smiled brightly and gave her a delicate hug. She stared at you, eyes wide. “You look gorgeous, Freya!”
Mo came by with swirling blue drinks and raised his brows when he saw you with Nathan. You told him to “shut it” under your breath and he winked at you.
“There’s Pom!” Nila said, and all of you drifted through the room, chatting along the way.
Pom was with a tall boy that you did not recognize. He had sandy skin and looked to be slightly younger than her. Brown curls fell around his temple and he smiled with deep dimples. She was looking beautiful in her short purple dress and ankle boots. Pom looked at you and audibly gasped. She showered you with compliments until you were sure that you would pass out from the embarrassment, but you smiled and nodded. After several minutes of catching up, you excused yourself and went for a drink.
The cool blue liquid slid down your throat and you exhaled after a few more gulps. You looked around from the drinks table at everyone. Couples surrounded the dancefloor, itching to dance. More students trickled in from the entrances and you saw Headmistress Frigga approach the stage. Her dress was a beautiful grey that almost looked silver. Flowers were pleated into the long braid down her back. You continued to look around the room, searching; where was he?
When you arrived back to the group, the Headmistress began her announcement.
“Welcome, teachers and students, to the annual Halloween Ball! Tonight will be a night of merriment and festivity. It shall be one to remember! Now, to send us off, let us begin with the customary dance.”
She stepped towards the stage, and Heimdall walked towards her. He was in more traditional dress robes but looked more like a king as he took her hand and led her into the centre stage. The band played a waltz and the two of them moved like swans in the water. Professor Fandral brought in Professor Sif and they danced. One by one, the teachers all started to dance. You saw a flash of red and gasped when you saw Valkyrie being twirled in the arms of Professor Odinson. He wore a black tuxedo and looked as handsome as a movie star. But it was Valkyrie that held your eye; she was show-stopping. Her red dress billowed as she danced and the slit opened just enough for your heart to race, but closed back up just as you got excited. You raised an eyebrow at her when she caught your eye and she laughed.
You looked at each of the teachers, and still could not see Professor Laufeyson. Just as your heart sank at the notion of him missing the ball, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned to see Professor Laufeyson holding out his hand. Your breath hitched in your throat when you looked at him. His hair was gelled back, and he held one hand out to you, with the other bent politely behind him. He wore a black suit with a silken green vest and tie that stood in contrast with his fair skin. He seemed to glow in the warm light of the Great Hall. His eyes twinkled and his cheeks were positively rosy. Your heart dashed into a mad rhythm as you took in his presence. “May I have the pleasure of this dance?” He said.
Pom, Mo, Nila and Nathan stood stock still, shocked. You took his hand without thinking twice or even looking back at your friends and Nathan.
“Good evening, Miss Eves,” he said, whisking you away and onto the dancefloor. He looked at you with a hungry gaze. “You look ravishing.”
You gulped as you placed one hand on his shoulder and one in his hand. His free hand was placed on the small of your back. When you glanced up at him, it was hard to remember your footing. “You clean up well yourself, master,” you said, lowering your voice for the last part.
He smiled at you and twirled you around as the music rose in pace. “My apologies for stealing you away from your date before the night has even begun,” he said without remorse.
You laughed. “Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to get into trouble,” you said with a grin.
He raised a brow at you and pulled you closer. His arms were firm, and his body led you through the unfamiliar footwork with ease. You fell into step with him and your bodies felt as one, moving fluidly across the dance floor. He whipped you about and held you close all alongside with the music. Every time you turned back into him and your body slammed against his, you felt your desire increase exponentially. Now and then Professor Laufeyson would glance at your visible cleavage and you suppressed a smile. In a room filled with people who stared, he could look unblinkingly at you and you would not flinch. When his eyes were upon you, it felt as though you were flying.
During a slower part of the dance, you looked past him and noticed everyone looking at you again. No, not just you, but the two of you. Your face flushed, and you hesitated for a brief second as your thoughts grounded themselves again.
“Careful, any sudden moves and I’ll rip you to shreds,” Professor Laufeyson said under his breath. “At least, that’s what they all think.”
“Everyone is watching,” you said apprehensively.
He spun you around and dipped you back. A devilish smile stretched across his face. “Miss Eves, are you ashamed to be seen with the most evil man in Hogwarts?”
You shook your head as you brought you back up. “No, and you are not evil.”
The music swelled, and he spun you several times; you were thrilled and dizzy all at once. He ran a hand across your back, leaned in close, nearly inappropriate. “Oh my dear girl, you have no idea what I am.” His voice sounded almost sad, but when you tried to look into his eyes, he deflected your gaze by turning to the stage and clapping for the band.
Nathan approached the both of you hesitantly. “May I steal her back, Professor?”
You did not want to leave him, but any more sensual dances and you would become a puddly mess. Professor Laufeyson nodded and handed you over to Nathan, a gleam in his eyes that told you, ‘see you later’, as a sort of warning.
The next dance was more upbeat and now most of the students joined in and some teachers stepped away. You laughed when you observed the head of your house, Professor Bjorn, dancing rather erratically with himself. Then you noticed he was holding a ferret in his hand and doing a waltz. Valkyrie came over to you and gave you a tight hug. You held her close and both of you shouted each other’s ear over the music at the same time.
“Did I just see you dancing with Professor Odinson?”
“Did you just dance with Laufeyson?”
You both smiled widely at each other and broke into laughter. Arms still entangled, you jostled her gently. “What is going on between you two?” You said, glancing at her and then at Professor Odinson, who was now in conversation with Headmistress Frigga over by the tables.
Valkyrie looked down and then back up at you. “I have a lot to tell you,” she said. But then her eyes grew suspicious. “And what have you got to tell me? Shaggin’ the bad boy now?” She clicked her tongue and looked you up and down, impressed. “My sweet Hufflepuff, always surprising me.”
You hit her shoulder. “Stop it! I am not shagging him…” Not yet, at least...
“Can I cut in?” Nathan said, dancing over to you. You disentangled from Valkyrie who gave you a ‘this isn’t over’ look. You danced together in a big group with Pom, her date Vlad, Nila and Mo, and Valkyrie. Some other members of the Quidditch team came over and joined as well.
The music sped up into a fast-paced rock number as all of you jumped in the newly formed dance circle to show off your best moves. You laughed when Mo started raising the roof and waving his arms in the air and at one point you, Pom, Nila, and Valkyrie made a conga line while the boys watched you sway your hips. The song shifted into another tune seamlessly, and when you heard the croaking of the toads and you undeniably lost your shit.
“This is my JAM!” you said, grabbing Nathan by the hand and dancing away. He perked up at your moves and you spent the next hour sweating, swaying, jumping and having the time of your life.
After another half an hour, you were panting as you yelled, “I need a break!” And left them all on the stage. Your feet got sore but in a good ‘dancing pains’ kind of way. You went to refresh yourself and catch some air. Upon sneaking out the door, you did not realize that Nathan followed you until he gently grabbed your arm as you descended the stairs towards the garden. You jumped and nearly tripped on the stairs when he caught you and held you close.
“Careful,” he said, flashing you a gorgeous smile. You were frozen in place with a small flutter of butterflies in your stomach.
He leaned in and you thought about pushing him away, but your arms stayed still as he kissed you. It was not intrusive; it was more of a questioning sort of kiss. This kiss would have been perfect a month ago, when your life was normal and you weren’t falling for a mysterious man who may or may not be doomed.
He pulled away but continued to hold you. “You’re beautiful, Freya,” he said.
The slight flutter of butterflies now sank into stones from your guilt. You should not have led him on. “Nathan,” you said, taking a deep breath and stepping away from him. “You are so sweet, and handsome, and honestly, a lot of fun…”
“But you want to stay just friends?” he said, with a knowing look.
You looked up at him and nodded. “I’m sorry,” you said.
He seemed slightly crestfallen, but the smile never left his face. “It’s okay, and you’re pretty fun too.”
“Thank you for being such a great date,” you said.
He laughed and nodded, leaving you to go back inside. You appreciated what a gentleman he was about the whole thing. Many of your friends had rejected boys only to receive scorn, disdain, and sometimes downright violence. It warmed you to know that Nathan was one of the good ones and you hoped he would find someone extra special.
The night air was cool, and a gentle wind fanned against your skin. You closed your eyes as you wandered into the gardens. You looked at your watch and realized that it was nearly midnight. The balloons would explode at the stroke of midnight and the tiny pumpkins would be there to surprise everyone. You thought about returning, but the thought of tiny pumpkins nipping at your ankles was just not as appealing as spending your time in the night air surrounded by flowers and beautiful trees. You had gotten your fill of the Halloween prank last year, when the stone gargoyles had sprung to life and puked all over you and Valkyrie. Mo had laughed up a storm until a gargoyle flew across the Great Hall and vomited right on his head.
“Did the Headmistress not advise you to avoid wandering about alone?”
Your heart leapt at his voice. “I’m not alone,” you said, not looking back yet, and continued walking down the trail of gardens. A long row of willows stood gorgeously with their sweeping leaves blowing in the breeze.
He fell into step with you, a hand on your lower back. His touch made your chest tighten. Where else might his hands go?
“Thank you, by the way,” you said.
He glanced at you, not clear on your meaning.
“For the dress and necklace. I only wore them since I knew you would curse me if I didn’t,” you said with a teasing smile.
He chuckled. “That’s right, I would have.”
For several minutes, the both of you silently walked through the gardens; smelling the flowers without speaking. It was peaceful and not terribly awkward. There was a comfort that had set in when you were around him. However, after a certain amount of silence, you wondered why the man who loved to talk so much was particularly taciturn.
“You’re quiet tonight,” you said boldly. Perhaps it was the overexertion from dancing or the dress that gave you the delusional idea you could coax the truth out of this man, but regardless, you tried.
He shifted closer to you. “Perhaps I’m plotting to kidnap you as a part of my master plan, and lock you in a tower,” he said mischievously. You laughed loudly at his response.
“Do you always laugh when the villain reveals their grand plans?” he said, smiling. Though his smile did not reach his eyes.
You pushed him as you walked. “You’re not a villain,” you said.
“And how do you know that?” he said, stopping underneath a tall tree. You had wandered back towards the castle. The warm glow of the candles and pumpkins inside illuminated the windows in an orange light, as if the entire castle itself were one gigantic jack-o’-lantern.
There was a rustling, and you stepped away from Professor Laufeyson in case it was a student, or worse, a teacher, and a couple walked by. However, they barely glanced at the two of you, for they were far too busy searching for somewhere to...well...finish off the night. When they walked around the corner in a hushed fit of giggles and quiet moans, you took a step towards Professor Laufeyson again.
“I know you’re not a villain because there is warmth in your heart,” you said, placing a hand on his chest.
The moonlight reflected off his eyes and illuminated his face. You noticed a look of utter desperation in his expression that you had never seen before. It was there for only a second before it vanished with a raised brow. “What you see is a fire, Miss Eves; dangerous if you get too close,” he said and seized you with a grin. You wrapped your arms around him and his lips touched yours in a passionate embrace.
Your core awakened from the feel of his tongue gliding across your lips and the strength of his arms gripping you so tightly that you might break. But you wanted him closer, tighter. You bit his upper lip as he took a hand and palmed your breast through the fabric of your dress. It was as if a new feral hunger hit you. It took all your strength of will to not strip bare right in the garden and let him take you. You tangled your fingers through his hair and moaned as his hand grazed the most sensitive part of your breast.
A scream tore through the air. You broke the kiss and immediately felt the chill of the night. Screams erupted from the Great Hall. You and Professor Laufeyson glanced at each other before seeing several students run out the door in terror. Some were frantically moving about as if they were trying to get something off of their bodies. A boy was thrashing so hard that he ran down the stairs, knocking several people over along the way.
“It’s not supposed to be like that, they’re just pumpkins,” you said to Professor Laufeyson, alarmed at the chaos that ensued from the castle. What was going on?
It was then you saw a girl, completely pale and red-haired in a light blue dress. At first you thought she wore a strange patterned glove, but in fact, there were large black masses covering her arm. They wriggled over her skin and she screamed and shouted, “get them off! Get them off me!”
You both were about to run over to the crowd of students when a shriek closer to you echoed through the garden. “Help me! Please!” It was in the direction where the couple from earlier had gone.
You and Professor Laufeyson ran over to the couple and you saw the boy was crawling away on his hands and knees while the girl was trying to do the same. The boy shoved past you as the girl reached out for help.
A horrifying creature, about the size of a dog, was slithering through the garden. It was scaled and dark green with the body of a snake, but five times thicker. It had five heads protruding from its centre, and each head had a menacing pair of red eyes. Each head snapped its fangs at you and the girl. The creature hissed and lashed its barbed tail. You ran over to the girl and grabbed her by the arm to help her up.
The creature whipped its tail, and you pushed the girl away from it, right into Professor Laufeyson. You cried out when you felt its painful barbs against your leg. The creature hissed, and you saw five forked tongues, inches away from you. You tried reaching for your wand, but the pain had set in immediately and it was debilitating. You fell to your knees.
This was when the screaming and noise all slowed down, as if you were in a film. One moment the five heads reared back to bite you, the next, you saw an insanely bright green light. You heard someone screaming right next to your ear, and it annoyed you to the point you begged them to stop, only to realize that it was you that was screaming.
“What’s happening?” You said your words slurred.
Darkness edged your vision, and you saw Professor Laufeyson’s face above yours, looking terribly distressed. “Stay awake Freya! Stay awake!” It looked as if he was yelling at you, but his words sounded far away.
You felt yourself being carried, or floating away. Perhaps you were in the castle again? It was hard to tell. Your stomach was aching terribly and your whole body was sore. Shooting pain ran up your leg and your chest tightened. How you wished it would end, but as soon as the wave of pain ended, another wave rose. You thrashed back and forth trying to shake the feeling, but it would not stop. “Please, make it stop,” you screamed.
Darkness clouded your vision, and you saw Professor Laufeyson once again. This time he was saying things, but you could no longer hear him. “Loki,” you whispered, and everything went dark.

[ Finding Sailor Jupiter ]
[Y/n] was at the Crown Game Center, with Usagi, Ami, and Makoto. The new transfer student in Class 6,  [Y/n] watches Makoto play the Sailor V, game.
"You sure you’ve never played this game before?” Usagi asks, Makoto.
”it’s the same as fighting in real life.” Makoto says, to her.
”you let the bad guy chase you so you can catch him off guard, then you hit him with your ultimate attack!” She says, as she plays the game.
”Ultimate attack!” Usagi says, in awe.
”Hi Usagi! Y/n! You’re here early today.” Ami says, as she walks towards them.
”Oh! Hi, Ami!” Both Y/n and, Usagi say. Looking towards her.
”Have you met the new girl yet? She just transferred into, Class 6 today.” Usagi says, to her.
“I’m Makoto Kino,” she says, looking over at Ami.
”I’m Ami Mizuno. I go to Juban, too. It’s so nice to meet you.” She says, to Makoto.
"Nice to meet you too." Makoto says, looking at the game. Then Motoki came over, "Hey Usagi! So are all the girls you're friends with cute." He says, and he looks and sees Makoto who turns her head and, looks at him. A blush spread across her cheeks,
"Its...you." She says, quietly looking at him. Then the sound of game over interrupted them, she turned back towards the screen.
"Oh! Nothing I thought you were someone else.." She says, looking back at them game.
[TIme-Skip] to bridal shop cause this bitch lazy..
"Well this is the bridal shop he was talking about." Ami says, as the girls look at it.
"It's also the same one Naru went to." Usagi says, looking at it.
"Where's Mako?" She says, looking around and sees her looking up at the shop, with a blush spread across her face. She sees a dress and, looks at it.
"So gorgeous. I wish I could wear a dress like that." Mako says, to herself.
As two girls pass by, "See thats the bridal shop." One girl says, pointing to it.
"You mean that's the shop thats cursed?" the girl beside her asks.
"That's right! Sometimes people see it! That ghost bride." [Y/n] says, looking at the shop.
"The mannequin on the balcony wanders around at night, trying to seduce the male-passers by Everybody! says so." She says, to them.
"And if you buy a dress from the shop, you become cursed by the ghost bride. and spend your life in misery." She says, looking at the shop.
"Whaa? Well, when I do get engaged, I'm not going to go there for a dress." Mako thinks, to herself. The girls, make their way towards Rei's.
Rei looks at Makoto and, feeling a powerful presence from her. All the girls catch Rei up, on the bridal shop.
"A cursed bridal shop? The ghost of a bride? Yes, it is suspicious." Rei says, to her friends.
"That groom who went missing...I wonder if he was seduced by that ghost bride?" Ami says, to herself.
"If he was, he's got no-one to blame but himself for being lured in by a ghost." Rei says, her arms folded. Makoto then turn back towards the girls,
"This is all too complex for me. I'm going home." Makoto says, to the girls then leaves. And, as she does Luna, jumps up onto Rei's, shoulder.
"Luna.." Rei says, looking towards Makoto...
"Yes.." Luna says, as she looks up at Rei.
"The day we're all assembled might be sooner than we think." Rei says, watching as Makoto walks away..
[Y/n] was fast asleep, in her bed when all of a sudden Tuxedo Mask, appears at her window. She gasps and, watches as he runs away. She rushes out of bed and, follows him. Atlas notices and, notifies everyone.
"Ami-Chan, Rei-Chan, Usagi-Chan, Wake up! Tuxedo Mask is leading Y/n-Chan away!" Atlas shouts, into the watch..[Y/n] arrives at the Bridal Shop from before, and gasps seeing Makoto. Everyone else, arrives and transforms. Seeing the ghost bride,
'Lunar Prism Power! Make-Up!' She shouts, as she transforms into Sailor Luna. And, everyone else into their own respective guardian.
"Stealing the sacred form of the blushing bride and whispering of love! We wont stand for it!" Sailor Moon, shouts at the ghost bride.
"I'm the Sailor Guardian, Sailor Luna. Who fights for the stars and, the moon above."
"I'm the pretty guardian sailor moon who fights for love, and for justice.."
"And, I'm the Sailor Guardian Sailor Mercury."
"And I'm, the Sailor Guardian Sailor Mars.."
"And we'll punish you"
They say..
"You were controlling and tricking people?" Makoto says, looking at the ghost bride.
"You mean you were serious damn it.." She says, as a symbol appears on her forehead.
"I'll let you know about a woman's pure feelings with raw strength." She says, picking up the ghost bride, then she suddenly transforms into Sailor Jupiter.
"Flower Hurricane!" She shouts, as a flower hurricane appears. "Jupiter, the planet I guard, bring a storm!! And down your thunder!" She shouts, at Nephrite.
"Jupiter Thunder-bolt!" She shouts, as a thunderbolt strikes Nephrite killing him...Makoto falls to the ground, and all the girls run towards her to see if she's okay and, she was. And, Luna tells her that she's Sailor Jupiter..
- sorry for it being terrible and short i was using the manga'
[ time skip ] y/n's off doing her own thing she has work to do..
[Y/n] sighed, as she looked at the papers scattered on her desk. [Y/n] wrote down stuff, from her textbook down onto the paper. She looks down and, groans. She barely got any sleep last night, since she was up all night just, working on this and, was tired really tired.
She sighs and, decides to take a break. She makes some coffee and, decides to go out for a walk. Not knowing about what was happening outside, after walking for about ten minutes, she began to feel dizzy.
'My head is all fuzzy and, my strength is going... ugh what's going on?' She says and, she begins to fall to the ground.
'Must be the work of the enemy..' She thinks, as she falls to the ground.
Mamoru rounds the corner and, sees [Y/n] lying on the ground unconscious. He runs towards her, quickly checking for a pulse. He brings his hand to her cheek, "Hey! Snap out of it." He says, to her. And, she stirs awake looking him in the eyes, but seeing Tuxedo Mask.
"Tuxedo Mask!" She says, in amazement looking at him.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, as her cheeks turn red.
"My bad judgement and actions brought us to this point." He says, to her and, she looks at him in shock.
"Tuxedo Mask! So this whole situation was your.... You did it are you actually?" She asks, worried.
"No, I'm not! I didn't mean for this to happen! I wanted to find the Legendary Silver Crystal no matter the cost. But I didn't have any information to work on!" He says, looking at her.
"And I don't have powers like you do!" He says, to her. And she gasps,
"You must transform into Sailor Luna! I can't do anything about this situation myself at this point." He says, and, she gasps once more.
"Y-You know I'm Sailor Luna.. Just who in the world are you?" She asks, looking him in the eyes.
"You're the only one who can come to the rescue." He says, to her. And she looks him, in the eyes. Those familiar eyes, that would seem that she sees everymorning.
[Y/n] stands up and, places her hands on her brooch.
'Lunar Prism Power Make-Up!'
[Y/n] then makes, her way to where everyone else, was...She gasps, seeing so many people, lying on the ground she didn't know if they were dead or just unconscious. Even though she's seen stuff from the enemy, nothing to this extent. She was scared nervous, what if she couldn't bring anyone back...
But then she felt a pair of arms wrap around her, "Snap out of it Sailor Luna! I know you can do it." Tuxedo Mask, said to her as tears ran down her cheeks. Then a stick appeared and, it was in the shape of a star. She takes it in her hands, "Please! Take everybody.. and give them back their lives! Please!" She shouts, holding the stick..
And, after she did and, everyone was waking up. She suddenly felt sleepy and, went limp. "Sailor Luna?" He says, grabbing hold of her, before she hit the ground.
"You used too much power?" He says, looking down at her. A smile, spread across his face as he looks at her. He tucks, a strand of hair behind her ear.
"But well done.. Sailor Luna." He says, to her as he picks her up bridal style.
'What is this?'
"This familiar warmth..'
"It's as if this warmth is giving me back my energy'
As he places her on the his bed, he looks at her. She seemed so at peace, even though using up so much power and energy during that fight.
[Time-Skip]
[Y/n] woke up, in an unfamiliar place. She looked around, she was lying in someone else's bed. 'Where.. am I?" she says, as she looks around. She looks down and, sees a pocket watch. She looks at it and, sees that it has the phases of the moon on it.
"So you're awake?" Mamoru says, as he looks over at [Y/n] who looks, over at him. Then she looks at the suit he was wearing,
"Why are you Tuxedo Mask...?" She asks, looking at him.
"It's for my memory. That's why I have to get my hands on the Legendary Silver Crystal." He says, to her and, she looks at him.
"Your memory?" She asks, looking into his eyes.
"I lost my parents, on my sixth birthday. There was a car accident and, I lost both of my parents. And, I forgot who I was." He says and, [Y/n] gasps tears running down her cheeks.
"And, I started having the same dream over and over. Find the Legendary Silver Crystal.. Just that phase. time and time again in my dreams." He says and, she looks at him.
"And before I knew it... I was stealing through the city at night like some strange sleep-walker! Wearing a tuxedo like some phantom thief." He says,
"The only clue to my past, are the word find the legendary silver crystal." He says,
"What about you?" He asks and, she blushes looking down.
"Um... Well it isn't so quite defined Atlas told me to find it alongside Sailor Moon, and protect it, so.." She says, blushing.
"I see." He says and, she looks at him curiosly.
[Y/n] brought the mask closer to his face, placing it over his eyes. She should've known, that all to familiar voice that she heard, every morning. Those all to familiar eyes she'd, get lost in. Even though she only lives a few doors down the hall. This moment in time between them felt like, they've met this way before but in different circumstances. But at this moment, if time were to stop she wouldn't mind at all.
She looked down nervously, her heart racing. "A-Atlas is waiting for me. I... have to go home." She says, turning to leave but stops, when Mamoru place his hand, on her shoulder. Her heart pounding against her chest, "N/n." He says, and she turns around to look at him.
A blush spread across her face, "N/n. Your bag." He says, and she nervously takes it from him. Covering her face with it, as her face turned bright red. She walks towards the door, and leaves.
'...He called me "N/n" That's who he said.' She says, thinking to herself as she walks down the hallway to her apartment, her heart racing as she thinks of him.
'Maybe I could call him "Since he's Mamoru, maybe I can call him Mamo-Chan.' She thinks, stopping outside her door. She reaches, into her pocket. And pulls out Mamoru's broken pocket watch,
'I brought it with me... his broken pocket watch.' she stares at it, bringing it to her lips and kissing it. This all too familiar warmth returning once more, but stronger than ever before. [Y/n] has never fallen in love before, but this moment was completely different, she feels like she already knows him.
He's opened up to her, he trusts her enough to tell her why he's going after the Legendary Silver Crystal. That moment, between them just moments ago. Felt as if they were in a fairy tale, as if they were two lovers. Finding out each-other's secret identities,  a fairy tale she wanted to be in.
She never thought she'd fall in love so quickly, but it doesn't feel wrong. Not one bit, for to her it feels like she's falling in love with him all over again. As if she knew him from as past life. She looked up, hearing that voice once more.
'You're my one and only love.'
She walked into her apartment and, sighed as she thought of Mamoru. She brought her hand up to her face, her face bright red. A smile spread across her face, as she looked at the broken pocket watch. She held it close to her chest, holding it over her heart.
'Is this what being in love is like?'
{ Chapter Four } Princess Serenity and Princess Y/n  Sneak Peek
And how Mamoru noticed, how shaken and scared she was. When they tried to talk to her, [Y/n]'s face turns red, as she feels Mamoru's hand on hers. "Are you okay?" He asks, and she looks down, then at him. Her heart racing, pounding against her chest. "Yeah, I'm fine Mamo. Just seeing them, after all those years startled me." She says, looking up at him, smiling.
They close the gap between them, their lips touching. [Y/n]'s hand places her hands, on Mamoru's chest. This kiss between them, felt magical familiar as if, out of a fairy tale. Mamoru places his hands, on her waist. She didn't want, this moment between them to stop.
He weakly brings his hands up, looking at [Y/n] who looked down at him worried, tears in her eyes. 'I remember now, I came back to be with you again. I found you, Y/n." He says, his hand going limp.
"My...Star." He says, and [Y/n] looks down at him in shock, tears streaming down her cheeks. [Y/n] shakes her head, and screams in anguish. As she wraps her arms around Mamoru, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Since you just went through the whole show, I gotta ask, how often was Marinette's Chinese heritage brought up? Was it ever brought up by her parents. In the Shanghai special Marinette's parents were thrilled that Marinette wanted to go to China. They were waiting for that day to come. But they never taught her the language so they would be waiting a long time (Because I'm pretty sure Marinette's anxiety would get in the way). Idk how to word it... something about that scene feels off to me.
FINALLY, SOMEONE ELSE WHO SAYS IT.
I know everyone’s busy bashing Marinette for what she did, but all I could think of was like--her parents had these funds on hold and then didn’t even try to engage Marinette in the heritage they wanted her to learn about??? How was she supposed to get interested in the first place??
Anyway, no, Marinette’s Chinese heritage is like--never brought up, at least from my memory (though the mouse miraculous takes on a Chinese coin disguise when she puts it on which... okay I guess; I’ve also looked at every piece of dialog from both Tom and Sabine and there is absolutely nothing). Even just going by transcripts, if you search for “China/Chinese,” it’s mostly Adrien who gets brought up:
Season 1
Nino: That's messed up. (Adrien enters without anyone noticing.) He never screws up in class, he always does whatever you tell him: photoshoots, fencing, Chinese, piano--
Marinette: They can't be fine, they have to be perfect! My Mom's uncle is a super famous Chinese chef. He's very particular, so things have to be just right. (Doorbell rings.) That's him! Hide, Tikki. (Tikki hides. While going to the door, Marinette trips over the backing of her couch before opening it.)
Marinette: Uh, welcome Mari you're at Nette's. Uh ah, welcome to Marinette's! You're Chinese! No no no no! In Mandarin! (Marinette attempts to greet her Great Uncle in Chinese.) Ugh, no wait. (Marinette reaches for phone and hands Wang Cheng the flowers, who smells them.)
Adrien: Alya called me. She said you needed someone who speaks Chinese? Well, here I am! Translator at your service. (he bows to her)
Wang Cheng:不,我三十年曾经来过这里;你说一口流利的中国话。 (translates. No, I have been here 30 years ago. You can speak Chinese fluently.)
Wang Cheng: Oh, my English very bad. Not like your Chinese.
Adrien: No problem Marinette. It was awesome to be able to practice my Chinese, especially with a Shifu.
Adrien: That means "Master" in Chinese. Your Mom's Uncle is a great master!
Adrien: Japanese people make sushi, Chloé. Cheng Shifu is Chinese!
Adrien: It's horrible to lose fate in China. We'll wait for him downstairs.
Gabriel: Without your bodyguard. He will drop you off and pick you off every day. Nathalie has offered to organize you a new schedule. You'll be continuing your music, Chinese, and fencing classes and your photoshoots.
Wang Fu: Ancient Chinese secret. (Marinette closes the shop's door. Wang smiles) Just like yours.
Season 2
Adrien: I forgot I got Chinese class.
Master Fu: (unseen through the "eye") Over here! (The "eye" view shifts left) Lower. (The "eye" view shifts back to the right, and down, revealing Fu) Hello, I'm Mr. Chan. Adrien's Chinese tutor could not come today. I'll be replacing him.
Gabriel: It will be an excellent promotion for the upcoming opening of our stores in Korea and China. You don't have a choice.
Nathalie: The fencing hall is booked for 6:05 p.m. and the Chinese classroom for 6:35 p.m. just as you wished, and remember that you have to make an appearance in the Agreste Foundation’s Heroes Gala.
Adrien: Today I plan to give my fencing classmates a lesson in Chinese and my Chinese classmates a lesson in fencing.
Season 3
Master Fu: Wait! That's not why I called you here. (reaches to hand Marinette a letter) Go to the address written here down on the river banks at 11am. You'll see a woman there wearing a pretty brooch shaped like a Chinese ideogram. Give her this letter.
Ladybug: I won't bore you with the details, but I'm sure the akumatized object is the brooch with the Chinese ideogram she's wearing.
Nathalie: Adrien, you have twenty-four minutes left to finish your lunch before it's time to review your Chinese lesson.
Adrien: (He picks up his lunch tray and starts to leave) In that case, I think I'll have lunch in my room while studying Chinese. At least talking while I eat will feel like I have some company.
Adrien: Sorry, your game sounds amazing, but I've got fencing right now. Then my Chinese lesson, then a photoshoot...
Nathalie (during a flashback to Season 2's "Catalyst"): The fencing hall is booked for 6:05 p.m. and the Chinese classroom for 6:35 p.m. just as you wished. And remember that you have to make an appearance at the Agreste Foundation’s Heroes Gala tonight.

Three’s a Crowd
Tumblr media
Summary: When Geralt leaves you and Jaskier behind to go hunt, you are pulled into spending the day in town with Jaskier. Fluff and mischief ensues.
Warnings: None!
Pairings: Jaskier x genderless reader *(see A/N)
Square Filled: Kissed to keep quiet
Word Count: 2,595
A/N: Here is my second submission for the 2021 Witcher Bingo! @thewitcherbingo While this is a genderless reader fic, there is a scene involving the reader with jewelry, so that could be seen as “feminine” if you really squint. Of course, boys and theys can wear jewelry too! Also, thank you to @toss-a-coin-to-your-stan-account for letting me use a hilarious phrase they came up with!

----------------------------------
Truth be told, I was glad when I realized Geralt had left without us. Were my feelings hurt? A little. But I forgot about it when I realized it meant I got to sleep in.
However, I was only a few minutes into my next bout of sleep when the door to my room came crashing open.
“(Y/N)!” the cause of the commotion yelled. Jaskier.
I didn’t even open my eyes. I should have known this would happen. Sleeping in? Never heard of it.
“What?” I snapped.
The door closed and I heard footsteps coming closer. Then all of a sudden, the covers were yanked off my body and I felt his rough hands shaking me.
“Geralt left without us! Can you believe him?”
My eyes shot open and I pulled the covers back over. But not before glaring at Jaskier, who looked genuinely concerned about the whole thing.
“Yes, actually, I can believe him. And I was trying to sleep in. Do you mind?”
Jaskier scoffed and took a few steps back, raising his hands in an apology.
“Fine, fine. I see that I am more worked up about it than you are. Although normally it is just me that you two tend to leave behind,” he said, a bit of a sad look gracing his features. But in a split second it was gone and replaced with a much happier one. A mischievous one. Oh no.
“Come on, let’s go find something to do! I cannot simply sit in this dusty old inn, wasting away as the hours go by,” said Jaskier as he fell onto the foot of my bed dramatically. “I am far too beautiful and talented for that.”
I sighed. “If I come with you, will you be quiet?”
“Absolutely not.”
Well, at least he was honest.
~
The town was far more active than I expected it to be at this time of day. I wonder what there was to do.
Currently, I trailed behind Jaskier through the groups of people crowding around the shops and stalls in the market. At least he was easy to spot with his lute strapped to his back.
“Jaskier,” I called to him. I didn’t think he would hear me, but he stopped and turned to look for me.
Once I caught up, I huffed and said, “Do you honestly carry that thing everywhere we go?”
He gave me a look as if to tell me I was insane.
“Of course! You never know when musical inspiration might strike.”
I rolled my eyes, but honestly it was one of my favorite things about him. His antics never failed to make me laugh.
“So do you have a plan for us, or are we to wander aimlessly through the town square?”
“Does this not suit you, my friend? Oh please, do tell me what sits so heavily on your heart!” Jaskier announced dramatically.
I laughed and he smiled back at me. How childish.
“Fine. I want to find some food. Lead the way, lute boy.”
Jaskier gasped indignantly. But there was a twinkle in his eye that let me know he was happy. We often played this type of game with each other. Feigning annoyance or being dramatic or something of the sort to make the other laugh. It was almost a contest, although there was never a clear winner. Simply spending time with the other was enough.
“Anything for Your Majesty,” Jaskier declared with a bow.
~
Eventually we came to a stall that looked to be selling sweets. The colors and textures of the food caught my eye from afar, and as soon as I saw it I grabbed the sleeve of Jaskier’s doublet to pull him over.
“Oi, this was very expensive you know. Try not to rip it, hmm?”
Ignoring his comment, I continued to pull him over until we were in front of it.
“Ohh, I see. Finally found something you’d like? I knew you would come around.”
I let go of his sleeve and he turned to the man selling the sweets.
“How much are your goods, fair merchant?”
While Jaskier talked to the man, I looked around at other stalls in the area. A jeweler’s stand caught my eye next. I knew anything over there would be too expensive, but I wanted to look anyway.
As I turned back to Jaskier, he had bought both of us a piece of candy from the man, and I took mine from him with a smile.
“Thank you, Jaskier. You didn’t have to pay for mine.”
He unwrapped his candy quickly, and glanced at me with that crooked smile that makes women and men alike weak in the knees.
“I wanted to. Now- where to next?”
My eyes betrayed my mind, settling on the jewelry that I knew would be too expensive to even consider purchasing.
Jaskier followed my gaze across the square to the bits and baubles I was focused on, and a forlorn look fell onto his face.
“Darling, I don’t mean to put a damper on things, but I can smell how expensive that place is all the way over here.”
I sighed and looked up at him.
“I know, but I just want to look. Can we, please?”
His face softened, and he gave me a small nod to signal it was okay. I didn’t even try to hide my happiness when I grabbed his hand and pulled him around the square for the second time today. Not once did he complain, which I felt very undeserving of.
I realized how large his hand was in mine, and I truly couldn’t remember if I had ever touched him in this way before. Of course, I had imagined it countless times. It felt nice.
I think that both of us knew we were crazy about the other. We were both just too scared to say anything. Or maybe we were just comfortable with the way things were, without a label.
Either way, I couldn’t suppress the tingling feeling in my fingers as I let go of his hand when we made it to our destination. And gods, it didn’t live up to any expectation I had formed in the past few minutes of wondering.
There were rows upon rows of every kind of jewelry you could imagine. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, barrettes, brooches... there were simply too many to name. Numerous golds and silvers alike glistened in the afternoon sunlight, enough to take your breath away if you weren’t careful.
“Wow,” Jaskier breathed next to me.
“I think this shop is worth more than both of our lives put together. Especially yours,” I murmured so only he could hear.
“I- what does that even mean?”
Before I could comment something smart back, the lady caught us in her sight and came over with a smile plastered across her face, ready to try and sell us something.
“How can I help you two today?”
Jaskier and I glanced at each other, not sure of what to tell her.
“Uh, we’re just looking for now. Thank you though,” I said in a bit of a hurry.
She seemed content with that, nodding slightly and then walking away to help someone else who would probably actually buy something.
Once more I couldn’t help but stare at all the rows in front of me. I think I could look at them forever, imagining myself wearing all the pieces to some fancy ball or banquet.
The only thing to drag me out of my thoughts was a small, timid tug on my sleeve. I turned and saw Jaskier looking at me. But he wasn’t really looking directly at me. His mind seemed to be elsewhere.
“We should go,” he said in a low tone.
“What? What’s wrong? Five more minutes. Let me dream a bit longer.”
He looked over me and around me before looking behind himself.
“No, I think we should really go, okay?”
“You’re acting weird, Jaskier. What’s got your doublet in a knot?”
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the merchant woman walk towards us once more. Everything seemed fine until Jaskier turned to see what I was looking at, and then the woman seemed a lot less friendly.
“Hey!” she yelled loudly, drawing attention to us.
My eyes widened and I looked at Jaskier, who was now stock still next to me. It was then I noticed that a gold chain was dangling out of his pocket that wasn’t there before.
“Shit,” he hissed.
Without another word he grabbed my hand, and we took off running. We weren’t the only ones however. Behind us, I heard thundering footsteps and the sound of metal on metal. The guards were after us.
“Jaskier, did you really swipe something off that woman’s stall?”
He turned over his shoulder slightly to look at me as we ran, but didn’t say anything. Maybe I was crazy, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips.
He had a death grip on my hand, and it didn’t let up as we ran through the streets taking twists and turns trying to lose the guards behind us. It was exhilarating, to be honest. So much so, that a laugh bubbled inside me and burst out before I could stop it.
“You’re crazy!” I yelled to Jaskier over all the noise and the rush of the wind.
He chuckled breathlessly, exhausted from the sudden sprint we had started.
“Just keep running! And don’t let go of my hand- I don’t want to get separated.”
I smiled to myself and looked down at the ground where my feet met the dirt in a rhythmic sort of way. And once again, I laughed. Only this time, Jaskier laughed with me, out of breath and unashamed. Running this way with him, hand in hand, was freeing. I felt so alive. I didn’t care where he was leading me- wherever it was, I would follow.
Jaskier pulled me around one last turn, and then into an alley. The guards were significantly farther behind us now. Even so, we cowered into a dark corner of the alley, and tried to catch our breath. However, when we looked at each other, a fit of giggles overtook us both.
“That was..”
“That was-”
We both spoke at the same time and stopped at the same time, causing us to giggle once more. My chest and stomach were aching from the lack of air, but it was a small price to pay for how happy and carefree I felt right now.
“So, what in the gods names did you take, Jaskier? And why?”
His smile fell a bit before he dug into his pocket where I had seen the gold chain earlier. But before he could get it all the way out, a familiar sound of thundering footsteps began to get closer.
“Shit,” Jaskier hissed, shoving the chain back down into his pocket like before.
He suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me farther into the corner, but there wasn’t much room left.
“Jaskier, we’re gonna get caught!” I whispered.
His eyes scanned the area frantically and then came back to settle on me. By the sounds of it, the guards would be on us any minute now, and we would be caught.
In a split second, his mouth fell open a bit and he looked as though he had an idea. Without saying anything, he reached up and pulled the hood of my cloak up on my head, before shedding his doublet, leaving him only in his white undershirt. He threw his doublet into a passing carriage, and grabbed me roughly by the shoulders before turning me around and placing me roughly against the cold, stone wall.
“Jaskier, what the f-”
Right as the guards rounded the corner, Jaskier shoved his face onto mine and kissed me feverishly, pushing his body against mine until my back hurt against the hard wall behind me. Needless to say, it threw me off a bit, especially when he pulled my hood to the side so that it shielded both of our faces from the guards who were now running directly past us, paying us absolutely no mind.
Only when the sound of their feet faded into the distance did he pull away, eyes wild and hair sticking up in every direction imaginable. The only sounds that could be heard now were our heavy breaths, though we were still so close together it could have easily been mistaken as just one.
“Um, Jaskier...”
“I’m sorry,” he croaked in a hushed whisper.
“Uh, well, actually. I think the guards are coming back. Don’t you hear them?”
For a second, a look of utter confusion overtook his face. But almost as soon as it had come, a devilish grin replaced it.
“Actually yeah, they’re quite loud, aren’t they? Just to be safe...”
This time, both of us met each others lips at the same time, and it was much more pleasant than the first one. Our mouths moved in sync, in perfect harmony, as they had meant to all this time. His hands came up to hold the sides of my face tenderly, causing my hood to slip away and a rush of cold air to make me shiver. However, as soon as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders to bring him closer, the coldness was replaced by warmth, and I smiled into the kiss. Not once did he break from his aggressive, almost hungry kisses, and neither did I. We had both wanted this for so long, and neither of us wanted it to end.
Unfortunately, I had to pull away for air, so I begrudgingly stopped kissing him. But that didn’t stop him. He continued kissing me, on my cheeks, down my neck, and finally on my forehead, one last, gentle time.
“Why hadn’t we done this before now?” I gasped.
“Well,” he said in between kisses down my neck and face, “Geralt is usually around and...”
He stopped to place a gentle, final kiss on my lips, much different from the desperate ones before.
“Three’s a crowd after all.”
I smiled dumbly at him, still panting, and he mirrored my euphoria.
“Oh, right,” he muttered, pulling out the chain from his pocket.
“I got this for you.”
He reached out to me, danging a gold chain off his fingers. It was decorated with my favorite stones and colors, and it almost brought a tear to my eye. He remembered my favorite things?
“Jaskier, you stole that for me?”
He opened and closed his mouth several times before scratching the back of his neck.
“Uh, yes? I just- I saw how badly you wanted something from there and I couldn’t help but imagine how beautiful this would look on you. Before I knew it, I had it in my hands and was making to put it away.”
Rolling my eyes, I gave him a laugh and took it gently from him.
“Thank you so much. Truly... it’s wonderful.”
Jaskier smiled shyly at me, not at all matching the fierceness I had seen on him moments ago.
“Shame about your doublet though. I seem to remember you saying it was quite expensive.”
He chuckled and kicked at the dirt, flipping his hair out of his eyes.
“Yeah, well, there will be others. Now, let’s go. We probably shouldn’t hang around here.”
I smiled before placing the necklace around my neck, making sure it was covered by my clothing.
“Lead the way, lute boy.”

Cockblocked by Batman’s son
BatCat | Humour/Romance | 1,4k
The fucker was on her for a while, and as much as their cat and bat game was fun, it was beginning to get in the middle of her business. There was this tiny small Brazilian island with her name on it, and unfortunately it was hard to steal whole islands than jewellery, so, of course, to steal some of the latter to get her island. She was calling it her retirement plan.
She was so close to her goal 12 million goal, only 10k to go, the job had been a god send, a rich collector had just acquired an Edwardian aquamarine and diamond brooch that have been on her client’s list for ages, thank goodness it was not her style at all, so she wouldn’t be tempted. It was easy enough, the security system was not what she expected from her research, but it had been fun to crack it, it was good to be surprised sometimes, she thought, kept her on her toes.
Her prize was already safely inside her bag, and Selina was ready to leave, when he appeared dark and broody, cape flowing behind him like a vampire on a silent era movie.
“Put it back.”
“Oh for Bastet’s sake!”
She ran, he went after her, and to be fair she was having fun taunting him, but there was something odd about that night, usually he gave her a little more of work, he seemed to be lagging. She even looked behind a few times to see if he was still following her, because there was nights in which would just leave to take care of an actual life threating crime. Selina thought that was the case and stopped to look, as much as the danger of him actually catching her and taking her prize back was not null, it almost felt like a let down when he’d just leave like that without a proper goodbye. He had no manners! Have no one taught him how to treat a lady?
Not that she was one.
She turned away and head back small rooftop apartment on East End, she had just entered her home, and pulled the cowl off her head when she felt a massive weight smash against her back throwing her on the floor. Fear struck her even harder, had the celling just fallen? She screamed for her cats to find safety before she managed to wiggle her body around enough to get an idea of the situation.
“What the actual fuck!”
The celling was intact and what was currently pressing her to the floor was the wall of meat known as the Batman.
“Put… it back.”
And then his eyes closed. She had never been close enough to notice before, but they were blue.
Read on AO3
It was embarrassing. She was tied up to a bomb. Heist gone wrong, well, it was good that he appeared since it was his fault that there was a heist at all. After leaving her flat while she napped after playing his personal Florence Nightingale all night, he repaid her by stealing her brooch!
Can you believe it?
The ingratitude?
The disrespect?
It was entirely his fault that she was obligated to break into that stupid warehouse to steal her new mark – an art deco diamond bracelet with an asscher cut, totally her style, she was already planning how to get it back, for free, of course. It was not her fault that the intel that got forgot to inform her that it was the same warehouse that had been used by Don Malone to hide drugs. And that when she broke in the place was no empty and Malone’s goons thought she was working for Falcone. Of course, no one believed her when she told them that she didn’t have anything to do with that.
You know, that’s why Selina had no trouble lying, because the truth hardly matters when someone wants to fuck you up, they will just do it for good measure, for fun, because sometimes you bloody deserve it for being the fool that nursed the fucking Batman back to health and were robbed by him.
But then, just as was she was about to accept that was how she’d meet her maker, a little leprechaun fell from the roof and said in a squeaky voice that she’d be okay.
“Geez, freaks are getting younger every day!”
Until Batman appeared and started defusing the bomb she thought she had already died and was having a very weird afterlife.
“He’s not a freak.”
“Oh… he’s with you!”
Maybe she was having a very weird afterlife. But why the hell her afterlife included the fucking Batman?
“He’s my… hmm… son.”
Wait, that was too weird for an afterlife.
“Your son? And his mother is okay with that? Jesus, isn’t he afraid of falling down?”
The boy had limbed a rope hanging from the roof and was hanging upside down by his pixie booted feet.
“He doesn’t have a mother,” Batman muttered as he still worked on her bomb, well, not hers. She owned no bombs, your honour. He was awfully talkative that night, that Batman. “Robin, behave!”
Oh my god, he was the leprechaun’s father! The information was just too good and at the same time she had no idea of what to do with it. It was the kind of prize she’d keep for herself.
“I’m behaving!” the high pitched boyish voice shouted back, but he did a flip and landed on the floor. She could say she was impressed. How old was that kid? Less than ten, she’d bet.
“Poor kitten, is she…”
“She died” he said so devoid of feeling that she raised an eyebrow. Of course Batman tended to be stoic, but, that was cold even for him.
“I’m sorry for your lost” she tried lamely.
He sighed. Batman actually sighed. What the hell was happening?
“I didn’t know her. He’s adopted.”
That night was one shocking revelation after another, wasn’t it?
“So… There isn’t a Mrs. Batman, then?”
What kind of lame line was that? Urgh. But was he… Nah. She was imagining it. He had not, in fact, sniffed her neck.
Of course, she couldn’t see, he was behind her, and although she could see Robin at the entrance very well because the light coming from outside reflected his little yellow cape as he amused himself by doing what looked like very dangerous acrobatics, where she was sitting, tied to a chair that was chained to a bomb, was completely dark. She could only hope he was really some sort of vampiric meta that could see in the dark otherwise letting him disarm the bomb was not the best of her decisions.
“It’s done.”
He released her. Selina rotated her wrists and stood up, relieved.
“Robin, let’s go!”
She watched as the boy let out a happy yelp and ran ahead, they could use that one as a limitless energy source and end climate change.
“Wait” she said walking around the chair to meet him in the dark “let me say thank you first, you just saved my life.”
“There’s no n-“
He couldn’t end the sentence when Selina blindly pressed her lips against his.
She meant to be a small playful peck, but Batman’s gloved hand slid to the small of her back, pulling her close and before she could think clearly about what she was doing, her arms were around his neck, hoisting her body up to fix their huge height difference issue. He parted her lips and slid his hot tongue against the roof of her mouth, the hard pointy part of his mask that protected his nose biting into her cheek.
“Ewww,” they broke the kiss to look at Robin’s small face wrinkled with disgust, but still remained in each other’s arms for a moment. And then, slowly, they turned their faces back forward.
Selina swallowed down, she still could taste him. And he was not letting her go, she had to be the one to pull her arms back, her hells touching the floor again.
She never thought she’d ever see Batman acting awkward but there was no other word to describe the way he grunted and stepped back before nodding to her and left, taking his little killjoy with him.
She stood there for a while.
She almost died.
She kissed the Batman.
Was cockblocked by Batman’s son.
Batman’s son??
What the fuck!
------------------------------
The rain made the power go out and I was looking through my WIPs. I really don’t remember writing this story lmao. But now It is finished and you can read it!
Please tell me what you think of it.
Kisses, see ya.

ok so i’m a little late to responding to your “i don’t wanna cause anything” response, but i do have actual proof of you copying things from Pearl, Quartz, and KatMeeliaz. please don’t ignore this — but this is really weird and i want to know whats even going through your mind when literally colorpicking from people and other things ??
Tumblr media
Okay
I'll answer one by one
•Nyla's scarf was really heavily inspired by Lillian's scarf, and i'm really sorry about that
•Orange desing was based on a applejack male human form
This one
Also, Orange existed before Nectarine
•Nyla's one is true, i was inspired by the broochs, but these things in her head are for a different purpose
•Cinnamon's melty eyes are older then you imagine, i've came with this idea when i didn't even know Quartelz, here, her old desings
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
•i suppose you're talking about Hideki being viorel copy here, again, Hideki was created BEFORE Viorel, I created him in 2018 when i was a crazy cuphead fangirl, and his rat desing is from 2019
•The colors where not picked, THIS is where the Calvin maid costume came from, which is also an old drawing that i did
Tumblr media
The pinkish lineart was just to fit better
But, The remake of his dress was based on this dress here
Tumblr media
•Yes, i WAS inspired by Quartelz worm, but they're nothing alike, just fluffy worms, they're not even the same color
•The necklace came from this that i found on the internet, bc is very common to find these kinds of crystal necklaces
Again, this necklace isn't magical, Just a regular necklace, it is just a concept art that i won't use it
Tumblr media
•The drawings just have the same concept, a girl in the looking at the night sky, i was inspired by the poem that i put in the drawing
•Aika and (i forgot quartelz oc name) are coincidental, not really sure if you're going to believe me, but i'm telling the truth, it was 100% coincidential. But i'll change her hair to entire blue

Move to Safety
After Adrien just happens to spy Nooroo in his father's office, he's sent into an panic. His father is Hawkmoth, which means that Adrien is in serious danger.
Thankfully the Dupain-Chengs are more than willing to step up to the plate and lend a helping hand.
links in the reblog
Tumblr media
Adrien didn't know what he was going to do. He paced, he grabbed at his hair, he made a couple stabs at making plans to run away but found big, gaping holes in his plans almost immediately when he actually managed to take a half-step back and look at them again.
His father was Hawkmoth, and Adrien Was Not Dealing.
"I can't sleep here, what if he finds out about me?" Adrien asked frantically for the twenty-fifth time, carding his fingers through his hair. "Or what if he already knows? What if he suspects something and decides to put up a camera on my window? What if-"
"Okay, first of all, I do check for things like cameras and hidden microphones all the time," Plagg said loudly, cutting through Adrien's panicked fog for the first time in- well, for the first time in however many minutes it had been that Adrien had been freaking out. "There aren't any over here or any even pointed in this direction, which is a bit odd considering how often you sneak out but maybe it's because people can't really sneak in this way. Second of all- can't you move out? You were planning on doing that when you went to university anyway, right?"
Adrien nodded, then shook his head. "I'm too young to move out yet, I still have a few months before I'll even be able to sign a lease. And if I move out right away- then he'll know that something is up. It's better not to arouse any suspicions, but I don't want to be close enough for him to get any suspicions about me."
"He's had years to get suspicious about you, though," Plagg countered. "It's not like you just started being Chat Noir."
"Yeah, well, I've had years to get suspicious about him, too, and look at where we are now!"
Plagg looked. His usually picture-perfect Chosen was a frazzled mess in the middle of his room, hair sticking up oddly from him pulling at it so much. He could see where Adrien had been pacing in the carpet, the little loops scuffed more than the ones around them. Scattered pages of notes from his half-baked plans covered the top of the desk, some things circled and others crossed out (and some circled and then crossed out).
It was a somewhat unsettling picture.
"Okay, so first of all, don't let on that anything is different," Plagg said, because apparently he had to be the cool-headed thinker between the two of them now. "If you do, your father will investigate. Second of all, you have locks on your doors, right? Lock them at night."
Adrien shook his head. "It won't make a difference. Father has the keys to all of the rooms. At best, I could set an alarm so that I would wake up if someone came in, but that would be hard to do without anyone noticing. What if I set it at night, had to go out for a morning akuma attack and forgot about it, and one of the maids tried to come in? Then the alarm would go off and Father would be so confused and annoyed and would investigate and-"
Plagg watched, unimpressed. "I think pigtails is wearing off on you with the over-the-top unrealistic panic scenarios."
"They aren't unrealistic! You've seen what Father is like. Paranoid and controlling and- he's a supervillain, Plagg, it's not unrealistic for him to notice something off in the room and wonder about it and then he would try to lock me down even more while he tries to figure out what's going on and why I have an alarm system set up on the interior doors of my room."
...his Chosen had a good point. So Plagg sighed, floated down to desk level, and actually gave it some more thought.
Tikki would be so proud of him right now.
"Okay, so you'll definitely have to tell Ladybug sooner rather than later," Plagg started, because while the discovery was earth-shattering for Adrien, he still had to think like a superhero. "And then, uh..."
Yeah, so maybe he was coming up a little blank.
"Yeah, that was about as far as I got, too," Adrien said moodily, flopping down in his desk chair and spinning around. "I mean, once I turn eighteen and can rent a place, I could just escape at night and run over there to sleep. As long as I set an alarm every night, I should be able to get back here before anyone notices that I'm gone. And I would only need to buy a mattress to keep over there, at least until I move out for good. And at least I can afford it," he added. "All of the money from my modeling and commercials and all the other stuff that I've done- that's in my account, and no one can take it from me. I made sure that the account was entirely in my name last year, when I started thinking about moving out. Neither Father nor Nathalie can touch the money in there, I made sure of that."
That still left several months between now and then which- well, again, not ideal. Maybe they would defeat his father before then, since they knew where to find him now, but if they didn't...
"Lots of sleepovers with friends, maybe?" Plagg suggested weakly. Adrien laughed, then sighed.
"Yeah, I wish. I think Nino might start to wonder if I showed up at his house every night for three and a half months, though. And his parents might call Father, and I don't want that." Adrien slumped in his chair again, then straightened with a yelp when he caught sight of the time. "Oh! Crud, I'm meant to be going over to Marinette's house today so we can all hang out today. I don't want to be late for that. C'mon, Plagg, let's go!"
Tumblr media
Adrien was undeniably, irrefutably, most definitely feeling off. And it was showing. He had lost the last three games of Mecha Strike to Nino, of all people- and he had lost badly. Thankfully his friends seemed willing enough to write it off to exhaustion from too many photoshoots instead of interrogating him on his distraction, and so Adrien got off scot-free.
That wasn't good if he was so obviously distracted, though. Nathalie would see through his squirrely behavior in an instant. She knew that he didn't have an overly loaded schedule- well, no more loaded than it usually was, at least- and she would be more likely to ask question.
He wondered if she knew about his father. She had to, right? There was no way that she could miss it when she was working in the same room as him day in and day out-
-she was Mayura, wasn't she. The thought hit Adrien like a brick wall, and he swallowed hard, feeling a little ill. His father was his family and Nathalie had been like family and they were the supervillains terrorizing Paris, the ones that he had to fight against almost every other day.
He was going to be sick.
How Adrien made it through the rest of his get-together with his friends, he didn't know. It seemed like time flashed by in an instant and then Nino and Alya were leaving, headed out the door together arm-in-arm and without a care in the world. Adrien was about to follow them- now that he was nearly eighteen, he was actually allowed to walk between Marinette's house and his own instead of having the Gorilla drive him for the few short blocks- when a slender hand slid around his wrist, stopping him before he could get more than a couple steps. Confused, Adrien blinked and turned around to see Marinette staring up at him, concern written across her face.
"Something is bothering you, isn't it?" Marinette asked, tugging Adrien gently away from the door and letting it close. "You've been off the entire time that you've been here."
Adrien tried for a smile. "It's nothing, just photoshoots-"
"You haven't had a photoshoot in three days, and you were just fine after the last one," Marinette shot back, and belatedly Adrien remembered that oh, right, Marinette had an open invitation to all of his photoshoots and knew when they were. "And if you were tired, you would have passed out on the couch while we were playing games. Instead, you were almost fidgeting out of your skin. And you suddenly got more distracted partway through- you looked like you were about to be sick."
"Start-of-summer cold?" Adrien offered up weakly. Marinette looked even less convinced, brow furrowed with concern as she gazed up at him. All of a sudden, Adrien couldn't do it anymore.
"My father is Hawkmoth," Adrien confessed in a rush, practically collapsing in on himself. "I was passing by his office today and I saw him talking to Noor- to his kwami, and it was a butterfly, and then he pulled off his necktie and was rubbing this brooch underneath it and why would he hide any jewelry if it weren't the Miraculous? And Nathalie knows, she has to, she's in the same office all day and she has to be Mayura and I'm living in the same house as two supervillains and I can't move out for a year without them getting suspicious and what am I meant to do?"
Marinette looked rather as though she had been hit by a truck, she was so surprised. Adrien winced.
...he definitely could have broken the news better. Maybe she wouldn't want to be near him now, because it would be dangerous to be near the son of a supervillain even though he wasn't a supervillain, he was a superhero, and wasn't that ironic? He had to fight against his own father.
That was really, really messed up.
Marinette's expression shifted from startled to confused, and Adrien heard her mumble "But how does he know what-?" before her grip suddenly tightened around his wrist and she turned his hand, just enough to see his ring glinting in the sun. She let a tiny oh, and suddenly Adrien knew without question that somehow she had just figured out his secret identity.
A soft thud behind them caught Adrien's attention next, and both he and Marinette swung around in time to see Mr. Dupain startle, righting his tray before another loaf of bread could fall off. His gaze returned to Adrien as soon as he had ensured that all of the bread was safe, and- okay, apparently Marinette's dad had overheard him.
He hadn't planned on letting people know, let alone this many. Marinette's family was perfectly normal and completely functional and he shouldn't be burdening them with his family's problems. But now Mr. Dupain was setting down his tray to come over and wrap Adrien up in a hug, and when had Marinette started hugging him? Adrien couldn't help but stiffen up in surprise at first, before practically collapsing into the hug.
Adrien hadn't been hugged like this for so long. Two sets of arms wrapped around him, and Marinette's hands were rubbing up and down his back. It was absolute unquestioning acceptance, and Adrien couldn't even manage to be embarrassed about the tears that he could definitely feel starting to leak down his cheeks. Marinette's cheek was pressed against his, and she clearly had no reservations about holding him close.
"Does your father know that you found out about him?" Mr. Dupain asked, pulling back but only enough so that he could see Adrien. "Or doesn't he know?"
"He doesn't know," Adrien said at once. After all, he hadn't lingered much in the atrium once he saw the kwami- Nooroo, Plagg had called him- before making a hasty (and quiet) escape to his room. In fact, he wouldn't be 100% sure of what he had seen if it weren't for the fact that Plagg had seen it, too, and had even zipped back to try to eavesdrop for a bit. "I left right away, and he wasn't facing the door. But I just- I can't believe that I've been sleeping under the same roof as a supervillain. Two supervillains, if you count Nathalie."
"You don't feel safe sleeping there anymore, do you?" Mr. Dupain asked at once. He was frowning. "I know that I wouldn't."
Adrien nodded, burying his face in Marinette's hair and trying not to sound like he was about to cry. He was pretty certain that he wasn't succeeding. Also, he was definitely getting snot all over her hair, and he would have to apologize for that later. "Yeah. I was planning on moving out once I started university, and of course I can get an apartment once I reach my birthday and then just sneak out to sleep there, but I would have to wait for that."
"And it's very possible that your landlord would still reach out to your father," Mr. Dupain said, and Adrien's head flew up in alarm to stare at him in alarm. He had only done a little research on apartments, enough to figure out that he had to legally be an adult to rent without a guardian's signature, but he had a source of income and a savings account of his own and surely that would be enough, right?
Marinette was frowning, too. "But surely if he asked the landlord not to say anything, they wouldn't?"
Her dad shook his head. "Not necessarily. I assume that you would pick something small and relatively cheap, at least for the time being," he said to Adrien, and Adrien nodded in confirmation. He didn't want to spend too much money right away, after all. "Right. Some of those landlords- well, they're not the best, to say the least. They would know that you come from money and they might try to exploit that. It's not legal, and all you would have to do to get them to back off if they were trying to push for more than what's in the lease is report it, but if something like that happens or you forget to pay on time they might go to your father, and once is all you need for him to find out."
Adrien nodded, his heart sinking.
"And frankly- Adrien, you're still a teenager. You're still a kid. You shouldn't have to be spending your money on essentials yet, and I'm not comfortable with letting you do that." Mr. Dupain glanced towards the bakery, where Mrs. Cheng was still working the front counter. "I'd have to discuss it with Sabine, of course, but- Adrien, we do have a guest room that rarely ever gets used."
Adrien's jaw was practically on the floor at the implied offer as soon as it sunk in. "I- I mean, that would be- are you sure?"
Mr. Dupain smiled, clapping Adrien on the shoulder. "You're a kind young man, Adrien. If you don't feel safe at home, we'd be more than happy to help. I will have to tell Sabine about your father, though, to convince her that we're actually helping and not just trying to steal you away from your family. Not that she would be entirely opposed to that, of course."
If it would get him a place to stay at night, that was fine. He would just have to trust that the Dupain-Chengs wouldn't get akumatized before he and Ladybug could take Hawkmoth down. "Of course."
"Good, good." Mr. Dupain gave Adrien's shoulder a squeeze before stepping back and picking up his tray of bread again. "Why don't you two head back upstairs then? If you can stay for dinner, Adrien, then maybe we can discuss how this is all going to work out?"
Adrien nodded obediently, glancing back towards Marinette. He certainly wouldn't mind staying longer- the Dupain-Cheng home was so warm and friendly, so very unlike his own- and he also had a few things that he needed to discuss with Marinette. Namely, the fact that she had figured out that he was Chat Noir.
Somehow.
Adrien's mind was racing as he and Marinette headed back upstairs. He was trying to figure out where to start. Should he try to deny her discovery? Would she even believe him if he tried? Something told him no.
"We're going to have to figure out how to time things so that your father doesn't catch on," Marinette said as she ushered Adrien back upstairs towards their living room. She sent him a sharp look. "Though I suppose that you being able to just slip in and out from your window makes things easier."
...yeah, he wasn't even going to try to deny his secret identity. Marinette hadn't phrased it as a question. She knew.
Adrien sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. Ladybug wasn't going to be happy about someone finding out his secret identity, but at least- well, at least they knew Hawkmoth's identity, too, so an end to this whole fight was in sight. Hopefully. "Yeah, it makes things a lot easier. But speaking of that..."
Marinette glanced up at him. "Yes?"
"We really need to talk."

How Rose Became A Supervillain
I was bored, so I wrote this fun little story. Enjoy!
“Mnggggh...”
“I know, rosebud, I know.”
Rose straightened up in her hospital bed, reaching weakly for her phone. “But I gotta tell Juleka I’m okay...”
Her father seized the device, wagging his finger sternly at her. “No texting yet. You need bed rest.”
Mama grinned teasingly and held out a box. “Behave and we’ll give you a present!”
Rose’s eyes went wide and she sat still.
The box was handed over. Rose opened it and grinned at what was inside- a pair of... what, brooches? She wasn’t overly familiar with fancy jewellery. But they were pretty. Once was shaped like a butterfly, the other a peacock tail.
Mama smiled. “They’re a matching set. Maybe you can give one to that pretty girl you-“
Rose threw the lid at her, blushing madly. Papa laughed. “Alright, we get it. We’ll pick you up tomorrow, rosebud.”
Her parents left. Rose idly picked the butterfly brooch out of the box. It really was pretty. Maybe she could give the other one to Juleka?
She pinned it onto her hospital gown and was blinded by an eruption of brilliant purple light.
Understandably, she squeezed her eyes shut and screamed. “AAAAHHHHHH!”
“Wait, no, don’t be scared!”
She squinted ever so slightly, and... why was there a purple thing in the air?
She opened her eyes properly and was greeted with the sight of an utterly adorable purple moth fairy. “Greetings, mistress! I am Nooroo, Kwami of the-“
“SO CUUUUUUUUUTE!”
Rose seized him in a cuddle-hug, squealing. He was just so cute, she couldn’t help it!
“Ack! Mistress, please!”
She released him with no small amount of reluctance. “Sorry, sorry, you’re just so cute and tiny!”
The butterfly/moth/fairy blushed violet. “That’s alright, Mistress. Anyways, as I was saying, I am Nooroo, Kwami of the Butterfly Miraculous, which grants the powers of transmission and generosity. A pleasure to meet you!”
Rose tilted her head in confusion. “What’s a Miraculous?”
“The Miraculous is a magical jewel that will give you superpowers when its respective Kwami- me, for yours- inhabits it.”
“Huh.” Rose poked the peacock pin. “Is this a Miraculous too?”
Nooroo winced at that. “Well, yes, but it’s been damaged. I advise against wearing it- it’ll hurt you if you do.”
Rose frowned at the box. “Oh. Alright. Is there a way to get the Kwami out?”
“Only if someone wears it.”
“Well, that’s not fair! They should be allowed out, too. Is there a way to fix it so I can wear it?”
Nooroo frowned. “Well, we Kwamis aren’t allowed to know that information. If there is, it’d probably be in one of the Miraculous spell books.”
“Well, how do we find one?”
The Kwami perked up. “Oh, I can help with that! If you use my powers, you can give people superpowers, and-“
“Miss Rose?”
Rose’s eyes went wide and she pulled the pin off, hiding it under her bedsheets. Nooroo vanished in a puff of purple smoke.
The nice nurse poked her head in. “Sorry, dear. I thought there was someone else in the room.”
Rose shrugged. “Sorry! I was just thinking out loud.”
The nurse looked sceptical, but she nodded and exited regardless.
Rose sighed and put the pin back on. Nooroo popped back into existence. “Maybe we should wait until you’re out of... wherever this is.”
Rose nodded in silent agreement.
“Wait... so all of you are stuck in your Miraculous all the time?”
“Well, if we have an owner-“
“And if you don’t have one, you’re stuck in a box, unable to interact with the world at all?”
“...Mistress, I promise it’s better than it sounds-“
Rose’s eyes burned with blue fire. “It’s not right. You should be free to cuddle people and eat lots of snacks and watch movies!”
She turned on Nooroo. “Where is this box?”
“I- I don’t know, but Mistress-“
Rose tapped the pin. “Alright, Plan B. Don’t worry, Nooroo, I’ll free all your brothers and sisters so they can be pampered like the adorable little fairy creatures they are!”
“Mistress, really-“
“Nooroo, Wings Rise!”
A rush of light and power, and suddenly Rose was wearing a gorgeous purple and blackish-violet dress, with long silver gloves and a neat lilac domino mask.
The swarm of butterflies her transformation had created flapped around her, one nudging at her hand until she allowed it to sit eagerly on her palm. She cupped it in her hands and allowed power to flow. “Alright, my Lovely. Go find me a Champion!”
The now-purple Lovely flapped out of her window. Only a minute later, she found a connection. “Hello there!”
Oh, it was Ivan! Interesting. What the- who are you?!
“Oh, I’m... shoot, I didn’t think of a name... uh, Pixie! I’d like to help you! What’s wrong?”
It’s Kim! He won’t stop taunting me, and I’m the one getting in trouble for it! So I got a little confrontational, ignoring him wasn’t doing anything!
Pixie frowned. “That’s terrible! Can I do anything?”
I don’t think so.
“Well, I prefer to be optimistic! I can give you superpowers, so he can’t get to you anymore!”
...I feel kinda like I’m making a deal with the devil here.
“What? No! I only want one little thing in exchange- can you try to find some little creatures called Kwamis?”
What now?
“Or a big, ornate looking box-“
Um, yeah, sure, I’ll find your Kwamis. You got a deal.
Pixie smiled happily. “Alright! Good luck, Steelhead!”
Pixie, still transformed, stared at her television. Her Champion had, apparently, decided to kidnap a person.
She flared their connection. “Steelhead, what the-“ she said a word that most of her classmates probably wouldn’t expect her to use.
I told you, he’s been messing with me for too long!
“So you kidnap him?!”
Oh, right. I forgot.
Pixie pinched the bridge of her nose. She could feel a non-illness-related headache coming on... “That’s alright, just put him-“
I’m supposed to find those Kwamis for you!
“Wait, that’s not- put him down first-“
WHERE ARE THE KWAMIISSSSSSSSSSSS?!
Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all...
Ladybug whirled her yo-yo as the butterflies Lady Wi-Fi had barfed up (and wasn’t that a disgusting visual?) formed the face of their adversary. “So you’re Pixie! You’re the one who’s been terrorizing-“
Eeeeeee! Oh my gosh, actual superheroes!
....what.
Oh, you must have Miraculous! That means you have Kwamis! Oh, can I meet them? Can I hug them? Ooh, what do they like to eat? I know this great bakery...
Ladybug exchanged an incredulous glance with Cat Noir.
This was their adversary? Their supervillain nemesis? The Joker to their Batman?
...oh, but I’d like a talk with yours, Ladybug, see if she could change your costume, it’s horrible-
That got her attention. “Pardon me?”
No offence, but one of my friends is a fashion designer, and if she saw you just running around in a polka-dotted onesie, she’d probably cry!
“...Cat Noir. Stand back. I’m ripping that face apart.”
Her partner shrugged agreeably, she split her yo-yo’s shell open, and at once went to work.
The once-again-white butterfly flapped back to Rose, detransformed, as she spoke animatedly. “Now I know they have Kwamis! That’s two I don’t need to rescue already!”
Nooroo sighed. “Mistress-“
The butterfly landed on Rose’s finger as she thought out loud. “But I still don’t know where the others are, and I’m not sure how to find them.”
“Mistress-“
It hit her and she triumphantly threw her hand in the air. The butterfly promptly left its perch, it and its fellows placidly flapping across Rose’s room. “I just need to get one of their Kwamis! I bet if I can talk to them, they’ll be able to tell me where the rest of you are!”
“Mistress, please-“
“All I have to do is get my hands on one of their Miraculous!”
Nooroo sighed. “You’re just going to ignore me, aren’t you?”
“Nooroo, Wings Rise!”
“Yes, I thought soooooooooooo...!”
Reflekta, I am Pixie-
“Hold up, Rose?”
Juleka stared at her wrist mirror, glowing purple with the butterfly possessing it. There was no way her girlfriend was the supervillain terrorizing Paris-
Yes, moonbeam?
...welp.
“Rose, please don’t tell me you’re a supervillain.”
It’s for a good cause! There are these creatures called Kwamis that are stuck in the Miraculous- I’ve been making Champions to find them so I can free them and give them treats and cuddles!
Yeah, Rose was Pixie. Only she would become a supervillain for the sole purpose of pampering superpowered familiars.
“Wait, so these Kwamis are just stuck in these Miraculous?”
They can only come out if someone wears their Miraculous.
Y’know what? This was a crusade Juleka could get behind. “I’m in.”
“Cataclysm- oh no, my ring!”
Cat Noir spun in sudden fear, powerless as Reflekta advanced, only for a butterfly mask to flare over her face. “Yes?”
Silence for a moment, then; “Well, maybe you should have thought about that before you gave me these powers-“
Silence again- this was weird to watch. “What do you mean, you don’t control it?! You’re the one handing out the stupid superpowers, how can you not control it-“
Ladybug’s yo-yo lashed around the villainess’s arm. “Talking isn’t a free action, Reflekta!”
The pink abomination was on the ground in seconds. “Miraculous Ladybug!”
Cat Noir sighed as his appearance shifted back to normal, before tackling Ladybug for a hug. “Thank you thank you those heels were nightmare inducing-!”
“Cat Noir, your timer!”
Juleka, purified, held up a hand. “No, no, let him stay.”
Cat Noir shook his head. “No, I’ve gotta go before I turn into a clown for real!”
His ears twitched, but he must’ve misheard what Juleka said next.
Surely she hadn’t just said, “Well now how am I supposed to get that ring?”
Lila snarled to herself as she marched angrily down the streets. How dare that pathetic little bug try and get in her way...
What’s got you so upset?
“What the-“
Oh, I’m Pixie!
“...as in the supervillain?”
I resent that title. But yes, and I’m here to give you superpowers! All I want in exchange is either Ladybug or Cat Noir’s Miraculous!
Lila needed more information. “Why do you want the Miraculous?”
They have cute little creatures living in them called Kwamis! But I don’t like that they’re all cooped up, so I’m getting them out!
...so the sole thing that this superpowered terrorist wanted to do with magical superpower-granting artifacts... was cuddle the tiny animals that came with them?
...well, who was Lila to question the person giving her superpowers? “Fair enough.”
Rose stared in glee at the news. “Nooroo, Juleka, this is amazing! A new heroine! And that means another Kwami is free!”
Nooroo sighed. He didn’t bother trying to talk Rose out supervillainy- she was just too enthusiastic about ‘liberating the Kwamis’ to listen to a word he said. And neither would Juleka, who was completely caught up in her girlfriend’s ‘righteous’ cause.
Juleka frowned. “Yeah, but she hasn’t made an appearance for those four Mr. Pigeon fights. Maybe she had to give the Miraculous back to Ladybug or something?”
Rose’s enthusiasm died quicker than D’Argencourt’s political ambitions. “Oh, I hope not. That would mean the Kwami is still stuck! We’ve gotta find some way to find out...”
Juleka hummed quietly, then a sudden mischievous grin sprang over her face. “I’ve got an idea. Lovelize me real quick?”
“Sure! Nooroo, Wings Rise!”
“Oh, here we goooooooooo...!”
Luka knocked on his sister’s door. “Hey, Jules?”
“C’mon in!”
He ducked under the doorframe. He hated that he had to have this talk with her, but he really was worried.
Juleka looked curiously at him. “What’s up?”
Luka sighed and took a seat, running a hand through his hair. “Jules, I’m getting worried. You’ve been turned into Reflekta a bunch lately-“
“Mr. Pigeon’s been Lovelized like seventy-two times!”
“-and you’ve been doing so much weird stuff! Why did you even let those zoo animals loose? Juleka, please. Is something going on?”
Juleka frowned. Then she shrugged. “Eh, she probably wouldn’t mind me telling you. Rose is Pixie.”
“...I’m sorry, your girlfriend, a literal angel, is a magical superterrorist.”
“It’s for a good cause! There are these little creatures called Kwamis...”
Pixie nearly squealed when her Lovely made contact. “Queen Wasp, I am Pixie! I’ll grant you superpowers to prove you’re exceptional, but in exchange, you must give me your Miraculous!”
What- no! I’m not giving this up!
“I can give you any other powers you’d like!”
That was a lie. Pixie had no control over what powers her Champions received. But Chloé didn’t need to know that.
Oh! Well, in that case, deal!
Pixie cut the connection, then opened her window. “I’m gonna get a Miraculous~ ack! Stupid impractical dress!”
Once she’d recovered from tripping, she ran a good few rooftops away from her home just in time for Queen Wasp to land. Her Champion smirked as she pulled the Miraculous from her hair.
Pixie snapped her fingers and freed her Lovely. Chloé smirked and handed the comb over. “One Bee Miraculous, as requested. Now, my superpowers?”
Pixie nodded agreeably and began charging a new Lovely- she may not have liked Chloe, but a deal was a deal-
Zip!
Ladybug landed on the roof. “Hand it over, Pixie!”
Pixie helped and hurled her Lovely right at Chloe’s hair tie. “Hold them off!”
She ran for it while Chloé, transformed into some bright yellow banana-themed monstrosity, lunged at the heroes with a shriek.
She leapt down into the streets and detransformed quickly, clutching the Bee Miraculous close to her chest. A whirlwind of red and black and pink exploded over the city a few moments later.
But Rose was grinning as she returned home, throwing the Bee Miraculous to Juleka. Her girlfriend let out a yelp, followed by a whoop. “You got it!”
“I got it!”
Juleka hurriedly threaded the Miraculous into her hair, allowing the Kwami her freedom in a burst of golden-yellow light. “Greetings, my Queen! I am Pollen, Kwami of the Bee Miraculous, which grants the power of subjection!”
Rose squealed. “SO CUUUUUTE!”
Juleka smirked. “Cuddle her later, sunshine.” She turned to the Kwami. “Hey, Pollen, two questions- where are the other Kwamis, and more importantly, what’s your favourite food?”
Marinette finished crying and looked up at Master Fu. “I’m sorry, Master, if I hadn’t lost the Bee Miraculous-“
Master Fu held up a hand. “Do not worry, Marinette. Pixie has already activated the Miraculous, but Wayzz says her intentions with it do not seem harmful. Pollen is likely not in danger.”
Marinette sighed. “Well, there’s that at least.”
“And perhaps we can track Pollen through purchases.”
At that the secret heroine frowned. “Wait, how are we gonna do that?”
“Well... Pollen’s favourite food is somewhat... distinctive.”
And that was how Marinette and Tikki found themselves spying on a supermarket to see who bought jalapeños.
Honestly, given what Pollen was the Kwami of, it made sense her favourite food would be what could bring most people to their knees.
Pollen sighed as she stretched out in a patch of sunlight. “Nooroo, your owner is so wonderful!”
Nooroo smiled weakly. “Yes, but I can’t get her to listen to me.”
Oh dear. Pollen tilted her head, now worried. “What do you mean?”
“I keep trying to tell her, it’s not a big deal that we have to stay in the box, but-“
Pollen held up a hand. “Wait, you want her to stop kidnapping Kwamis?”
Admittedly, it had taken her some time to come to the conclusion that yes, she had basically been kidnapped, but given her luxurious surroundings and that Miss Rose allowed her to gorge herself on as many peppers as she liked...
Well, could she be blamed for not caring?
“Nooroo, you’re aware this is paradise and I never want to leave?”
Nooroo frowned. “...well, I guess if you like it...”
Pollen smiled. “If it’s still bugging you, we can get another Kwami to give this place their approval!”
Nooroo snorted. “Right, because Ladybug’s just going to drop a Miraculous right into the hands of one of Rose’s friends.”
“Luka Couffaine, this is the Miraculous of the Snake, which grants the power of Repetition. You will use it for the greater good.”
Luka stared. He was being given a Miraculous.
Huh. Well, guess Rose is getting a third Kwami.
He donned the Miraculous, knowing full well Juleka was transformed with the Bee Miraculous, hiding in the shadows. “I’ll do my best, Ladybug. Sass, Scales Slither!”
Pixie’s latest Champion was called Desperada, and she had the heroes on the ropes, until Viperion started using Second Chance. That, and he was pretty sure Pixie was telling Desperada to throw the fight.
And sure enough, Juleka snuck up behind him as Ladybug cast her world-healing wave. “Jules, make it look good.”
“Venom!”
Ladybug spun- he did as well, doing his best to look surprised- just in time to see the stinger strike his back.
He woke up a minute later, staring at his bare wrist. Ladybug was grimacing beside her. “I’m sorry, Luka, I didn’t think she was using the Bee Miraculous!”
Luka tried to inject fear into his voice. “You mean...”
Ladybug talked for a few minutes about the ramifications of what had happened, apologized profusely to Luka, and ran off to detransform.
Luka made his way back to the Liberty, dealt with Jagged, snagged an opportunity to play guitar for one of his favourite music artists, and finally went to Rose’s house with Juleka.
His sister grinned triumphantly and allowed Rose to slid the Snake Miraculous onto her wrist. A burst of cyan light welcomed Sass back into the world. The Snake Kwami stared at him in confusion. “Luka? What is going-“
Nooroo flew out from the little Kwami theatre Rose had set up in an old dollhouse, looking utterly flabbergasted. “How did you get Sass?!”
Pollen buzzed out of Juleka’s pocket. “Finally! Sass, it’s so wonderful to see you’ve been kidnapped!”
Rose, naturally, let out a squeal. “SO CUUUUUUUTE!”
Sass spun in confusion, then looked at Luka. “Have I just been captured by Pixie?”
Luka sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. “Look, let me explain...
It only took a day in Rose’s Kwami paradise for Sass to crack. Unfortunately, it didn’t help much.
“And you can’t tell us where he is?”
Sass sighed. “I’m sorry. I’m completely certain he moved locations when you were able to bring me here.”
Juleka groaned and collapsed. “Well, we’ve gotten somewhere, but that somewhere isn’t getting us anywhere!”
Luka held up a hand. “Hey, what if we found a way to follow Ladybug to the Miracle Box? We could... I dunno, create a Champion powerful enough to force Ladybug to get reinforcements, one of us follows her really obviously to make her let her guard down, and another one follows her once she gets rid of the first tail?”
Juleka frowned. “It could work. But Rose can’t control what powers her Champions get, so there’s no guarantee that we get a powerful one.”
“Why not irritate someone who’s already become a powerful Champion?”
Five heads turned to Sass, who shrugged as much as a Kwami could. “If there is a Champion who has already forced Ladybug to bring in reinforcements, recreating that Champion could be the key to success.”
There was silence. Then Juleka picked up her phone. “Alright, I’ll get some paint balloons. When’s Chloe’s mom’s next fashion show?”
Ladybug gasped as she and Cat Noir ducked behind a knocked-over table. Carapace and Ryuko hid behind another, and Rena Rouge was out of sight, controlling her Ladybug illusion.
Apparently someone had snuck into the latest Bourgeois fashion show and decided to throw a paint balloon at Audrey Bourgeois. The conclusion was all too predictable.
Thankfully, she had an idea for how to deal with Style Queen.
Cat Noir pressed a darkly bubbling hand against the floor-
Style Queen tripped-
Ryuko erupted into Wind Dragon and blew the glitter woman apart, save for the flower on her crown-
Carapace fired Shellter as Ryuko blew away, leaving Style Queen trapped without her akumatized object on her-
And Rena Rouge burst down from the vents to crush the akumatized object under her heel.
Ladybug hadn’t even had to use Lucky Charm.
She grinned and hurled her yo-yo triumphantly into the air. “Miraculous Ladybug!”
It was the work of a few moments to collect the Miraculous she’d doled out and soon she was swinging back to Master Fu’s parlour when she caught a glimpse of something yellow-
She swung her yo-yo, and the Bee villainess who had been assisting Pixie sprang aside. “Ha! You’re not following me today!”
And with that, Ladybug wrapped the villainess up (not bringing her close, because she did not feel like being Venomed today) and hurled the Bee with all her strength in the direction of the Eiffel Tower.
She crossed her arms in a moment of brief satisfaction. Today was a good day.
And with that, she continued her run to return the Miraculous, riding that emotional high the whole way. What could possibly go wrong?
Master Fu had just retired for the evening when his door burst open, and a young girl walked in.
He recognized her pin at once.
“So the infamous Pixie has come to visit me.”
The villainess smiled cheerfully and did the last thing he expected from her. “Nooroo, Wings Fall!”
A rush of light spiralled away from her, and he was left staring at a girl wearing lots of pink, fumbling in her pockets for something. A girl he recognized from Marinette’s phone background. “Rose Lavillant?”
The girl perked up at once. “You know me?”
Fu shifted. “I’ve heard your name here and there.”
She smiled. “Well then I don’t have to introduce myself! Oh, do you have a Miraculous spellbook by any chance?
He ran a hand over his bracelet- this was getting too close for comfort. “Why do you ask?”
She finally fished whatever she was looking for out of her pocket. “Well, Nooroo says that this Miraculous is damaged and that a Guardian with a spellbook might be able to fix it!”
And she set the Peacock Miraculous on the table, blinking with wide, hopeful eyes.
Fu stared. “...very well, I suppose I can fix the Miraculous.”
Rose clapped joyfully. “Oh, thank you! Oh, one more thing.”
“Certainly.”
“Can I borrow the Kwamis, please?”
Fu got to his feet. “I’m sorry. You wish for me to give you the Kwamis?”
Rose pouted. “It’s not fair that they’re all cooped up in their box! They should be allowed to see the world! And play in the sunshine! And read books, and watch movies, and...”
Fu stared as the girl went on and on.
Had Pixie, supervillain, magical terrorist of Paris... only become evil to pamper the Kwamis?
Fu raised a hand. “You understand, I can’t just allow you to have access to the Kwamis without first ensuring they will be safe.”
Rose promptly stopped waxing lyrical about all the wonderful things in life the Kwamis should be allowed to experience. “Oh, absolutely! I’d never ask you to do that!”
Well, the good thing about this supervillain was that she was reasonable. “I will send my Kwami, Wayzz, to your home. Additionally, I will allow you to take a Kwami from the Miracle Box. Tomorrow evening, you will return here so the Kwami you select can make their report, and I will then choose whether to grant or deny your request.”
Rose smiled. Suddenly the entire world seemed warmer and brighter. “That’s fair! Can I leave this one with you, then?”
Fu agreeably pocketed the Peacock Miraculous. Then he opened the Miracle Box. “Rose Lavillant. Pick a Miraculous and a Kwami to pamper for all of tomorrow.”
Rose squealed. “Oh, there’s so many! What’s this one? Ooh, or this one! Oh, this one’s really nice- is the Kwami the same colour?”
Goodness, this girl was a ball of sunlight.
The Pig Miraculous was on her ankle a few moments later, and Rose squealed as Daizzi materialized. “SO CUUUUUUTE!
Daizzi squealed right back. “SO CUUUUUUTE!
Maybe he should offer her the Pig Miraculous permanently...
Marinette cautiously stepped around the street. “Tikki, do you think I’m doing the right thing?”
The Ladybug Kwami nuzzled Marinette reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Marinette! Master Fu said she’s trustworthy, and she’s returned all the Miraculous she took! I’m sure it’ll be fine!
Marinette nodded, let out a sign that took her tension with it, and opened the door.
Rose was in the hallway in an instant, the Kwami that must have been Nooroo flying over her shoulder, and Daizzi cuddling into her hair. “Oh! Marinette! You made it!”
Tikki cheerfully flew out of Marinette’s purse. “Greetings! I am Tikki, Kwami of the Ladybug Miraculous!”
Rose squealed. “SO CUUUUUUTE!”
Tikki was in a stranglehold before she knew it. Marinette stepped further into the house, entered Rose’s room, and-
Wow. It was a Kwami paradise.
An old dollhouse was set up as a little movie theatre. A table had been cleared off and a heating lamp set on it- Sass and Longg evidently liked that. A massive vase of flowers was inhabited by a giggling Barkk and Pollen, and Kaalki was having her mane brushed out by-
“Juleka?”
Rose’s girlfriend grinned and peeked up. “Hey.”
“You were that Bee villainess?”
“Yep.”
“...You kicked Gabriel Agreste in the groin!”
Juleka shrugged unrepentantly. “You delovelized Nino and Kagami before they could do it. I figured I’d pick up the slack. How’s that, Kaalki?”
The Horse Kwami sighed. “Oh, that’s lovely. Ziggy, you simply must try this!”
The Goat Kwami poked her head out of the movie theatre. “Once this is over! Now c’mon, the next episode’s starting!”
Kaalki zipped in with a cheerful neigh.
Marinette sighed and slumped onto Rose’s bed. Juleka patted her on the back. “I know, I know, we were under your nose the whole time.”
Marinette groaned. “How didn’t I see it? Of course Rose would be a supervillain dedicated to pampering Kwamis!”
“I mean, we never thought you’d be Ladybug.”
“Fair.”
Rose popped her head into the room. “Um, Marinette? Tikki’s buzzing.”
“Huh, Cat Noir must be calling me. Tikki, Spots On!”
She slid open her yo-yo the moment it formed. “Hey, Cat, what’s up- wait, slow down- what Eagle Miraculous- GABRIEL AGRESTE IS DOING WHAT IN NEW YORK?!”
Rose wordlessly held up a hand. “I’ll round up the Kwamis for you?”
Ladybug hung up, massaging her temples. “Yes,” she hissed, “please do.”
She had a fashion mogul to destroy.
