i love writing media metas, but i love writing specific character metas more, and i especially love going back and reading metas because then it truly gets highlighted, how much the process of understanding a character is a process of projection and understanding yourself by the proxy of a character. I fucking love it when i read through my character metas and can acutely see how much of it is me filling the empty spaces of a character with what i am because there's just enough shared ground between us for me to be able to fit the outline of the character and write into all the blank spaces in them.

@littletissueghostsI tried to answer this normally but I wrote so much Tumblr shat itself 💀 Anyways Overall I agree with your points and I do think that they'd get along-- although I also think there's a strong possibility of one or both hating the other too I've actually brainrotted about Chromatic interactions with Whirlwind (and Synthwave) for awhile, so I have maybe. Too much to say lol-- rambles beneath cut Also ofc I don't know Chromatic as well as you do since you're its creator, so some of my ideas probably don't line up with how it actually acts/what you would write it to do

On one hand they both have those heavy similarities, which they might both find comfort in (as you've discussed)-- but on the other hand, Whirlwind could wind up absolutely hating Chromatic for being similar to him (seeing himself/his history vaguely in Chromatic, specifically with appearance/point 2, point 1, and possibly point 3 or 4 ((I say 4 because I believe Chromatic has only had one strong bond in its life and managed to keep it(?), whereas Whirlwind was betrayed and lost his initial strong bonds))). In that case, in seeing himself in it, since Whirlwind hates himself, he'd likely wind up disliking Chromatic too. He might also be jealous in some way because Chromatic didn't necessarily have things "taken" from it, whereas Whirlwind did (specifically with sensory input); he may not see Chromatic as "broken" as he sees himself, even with their similar histories. I could also see Chromatic potentially seeing Whirlwind as a major threat because of his erratic behavior-- fine one minute and threats the next --plus his general dislike towards rules and such, which can be a liability given the situation in Nox City. On top of it, there's Whirlwind's general recklessness and lack of care for damage caused, which again could be a major liability to the safety of others/the city should he get into a fight. Whirlwind might also be a threat to others like Blossom, given his clickishness(? words); as seen with Firn and Flame, certain words said or expressions made will make him turn from casual to threatening in an instant. I doubt Chromatic would want Whirlwind to meet Blossom for that reason, as things could turn South very quickly with something as simple as a grin.

But, despite this, like you said, I could see them actually getting along pretty well in the end. They both share qualities of seemingly trying to discover themselves/their identity (Whirlwind doesn't really understand who he is anymore, whereas Chromatic is trying to gain understanding of its emotions iirc?), along with a strong combat drive (although Whirlwind I think goes to a. far greater gorey extent in combat compared to Chromatic 💀). That in combination with their similar histories/what you discussed could very well lead to Whirlwind gaining a better understanding of himself/acceptance, and possibly Chromatic gaining a better understanding of its emotions (Whirlwind is bound to cause some form of fear in his reckless aggression in someone, plus I can see Chromatic just making a note of "well. At least I know I'm not a maniac." Since Whirlwind experiences frequent negative emotions, Chromatic may be able to learn about that too perhaps.. also tying into fear, Whirlwind shares that drive to protect his family as Chromatic does, and seeing the extent to which Whirlwind goes to do that (brutally mauling others for instance) could possibly unnerve Chromatic?? Not entirely sure abt all of that). Whirlwind might also learn that he doesn't have to prove himself to Chromatic, or Chromatic to anyone else, which may again help him re-discover himself further and accept himself overall.

As for my mention of Synthwave/Chromatic- these two I initially started brainrotting about because of design similarities (urple cool colored visor wearing glowwy designs <33 /p), but the more I thought, the more I realized they might just appreciate one another's company. Synthwave, like Chromatic, is very calculative and generally comes off as cold to those outside of his family unit. He too can compute mass amounts of data because of his parasitic enhancement, and can integrate into digital spaces/technology (which I assume Chromatic may also be able to do to some degree due to its robotic composition). Unlike Chromatic, he doesn't put on a façade for others, though, and doesn't necessarily struggle with emotions; he's just extremely reserved (although he. struggles with guilt. A lot of guilt and thinking he's not enough/can do better. teehee) While they might not exactly become friends, between their similarities in personality and skillsets, I could see them working as a good team: Synthwave is great at gathering enemy intel, and he can probably transmit that data to Chromatic. He's also really good at monitoring surveillance, so that also would probably be helpful given the situation in the city. Chromatic could be blunt with him without concern of social-relationship-complexity-stuff/hurting his feelings, and Synthwave would appreciate its straight forwardness. Maybe they'd have teatime together or something lmao

Oh, dear why are you crying, stop that-" meanwhile Crocodile has to bite back every single we traded genders joke and instead just shrugs, going "I quite literally could not be paid to give a fuck. You know I'm bisexual, this changes little, Clown."

Croc does off hand offer to hook Buggy up with Iva if that's smth she's interested in, tho.

Meanwhile Sanji has come out to the Strawhats as a transwoman as well, and the reactions are much more dramatic but no less supportive - if anything, some may be too supportive /hj ((Franky calls her queen and sis and Hawt Mama, Chopper already began working on ways to synthesize estrogen Just In Case, Luffy could not be made to give a single fuck, Ussop is swooning, Zoro informs her that this changes nothing and he'll still kick her ass, Robin offers her congratulations, Nami is already mathing out adding another bed in the girls' room or making a room JUST for Sanji and Ussop to share, Brooke waits 0.006783259 seconds before asking to see undies, just everyone being supportive and stupid))

Okay, so, my thoughts on this. Crocodile having to hold back the 'we traded genders' joke is so damn real and I laughed SO hard. Love him. So true. And transfem Buggy lives in my mind rent free so this is just perfect because I absolutely love her. She's my beloved. She'd be so anxious about it and cry and Mihawk and Crocodile are like-- So done with her because she's acting stupid and dramatic and of course they're going to still want her. And she's crying and they're rolling their eyes and patting her head at the same time. Poor thing. She needs comfort okay??

And,, Transfem Sanji coming out is always so beautiful in my head. She's been battling her gender issues for AGES and now she feels comfortable enough to come out to the crew. She's anxious but she knows she has to do this now or she never will. And it's-- It's so real to me. The way she would explain everything that happened to her back in Momoiro Island and then say that she's actually a girl. And everyone's quiet because they know she's looking at Luffy only right now, expecting an answer from her captain. And Luffy is just like "??? Okay? You're still my cook. So who cares? You seem happier now!" and that is when Sanji starts crying. Because of course she's crying. And of course, Usopp is the one to hug her first because that's his girlfriend and she needs a hug and forehead kisses right now. But they have 0 privacy because Luffy wants hugs too. I mean. Obviously.

Franky is loud af and he's SOBBING while he screams how proud he is of their cook (I've always said Franky feels like a girldad because just look at how he interacts with Nami. And he's sooooooooo loving Sanji right now). Robin would be so so proud too and would say she's happy for her and smile in the sweetest of ways (Robin please adopt me). I think Chopper would also ask a lot of questions before making estrogen, just in case, but then he'd go and try to make it right away. Nami hugs Sanji but the sweet moment doesn't last long because she's already telling Franky her ideas for a bigger, better room for the girls or!!! "Better!!!!!! A room for Sanji and Usopp so we don't have to deal with them!!!!!! But also make the girl's room bigger because I say so!!!!!!". Zoro says he doesn't give a fuck because he will still kick her ass but he's secretly happy that she looks more relaxed and comfortable in her skin. They go see Iva (Iva my beloved) and they're all,, So uncomfortable,, Buggy acts overconfident and says she's perfectly fine and not scared at all of what Iva's going to do to her body (liar. She's scared af and Crocodile and Mihawk know so they keep scaring her even more because it's funny to see their girlfriend crying. Look. The fact that they're soft and dating doesn't mean they're not gonna bully her). And Sanji has smoked like two fucking boxes of cigarettes already despite saying that she doesn't care about it (she has never been more excited in her entire life) and she's holding Usopp's hand so hard she's going to break it at some point. Anyway, Iva is a dramatic bitch and they make Sanji and Buggy come with them to a more private place because they want it to be a surprise for everyone (drama queen. Love them. I would do it too. Trust the process, girls, you're in good hands). So Cross Guild and the Strawhats end up alone and waiting for their girls to come back. And. Yeah. Uncomfortable. Zoro looks at Mihawk at some point and goes:

Zoro: I thought you were gay. Mihawk: I swing both ways. Usopp: Actually, you swing sword- Mihawk: Awful. Shut up. Don't ever speak to me again. Don't even look at my direction, actually. Roronoa, why is your crew like this? Zoro: It was really funny, though. Mihawk: I wish to not partake in this conversation anymore. Everyone just shut up and wait. ............. Okay, so Sanji and Buggy eventually come back. Finally. And they were gorgeous before but now they're even more beautiful because they actually look extremely happy with their bodies. I want to describe how I see them but just check @/vongulli's account and see their fem Buggy because she kills me every time and that's the only way I can see fem Buggy now. And Sanji to me looks like @/sibmakesart's fem Sanji. This artist made a nude fem Sanji not long ago and I loved it,, So much,, ANYWAY!!!!!! Getting carried away.. Thinking about women. It's not my fault I'm a lesbian. But they look perfect and they're comfortable and happy. And Sanji's boobs are surprisingly not huge and Zoro makes a comment about that but Sanji is like:

Crocodile and Mihawk are having... A moment. They will still bully her and they're sure she's going to look extremely pretty crying and whining but right now she deserves to be worshipped because just look at her. Buggy approaches them and she's like "If you laugh I'm going to throw knives at you and then leave Cross Guild and!! And!! And I'm going to be really mad so pleasedon'tlaughireallylikethispleasedon'truinit" and they look at her with the fondest of looks (but gotta be honest, they're so horny right now it's unbearable. Like yes, happy wife happy home happy everything but also happy dick because just look at her). Crocodile is just frowning and genuinely asks "Why would we laugh? You look stunning, dear" and Mihawk follows with "I must say I'm not surprised, since you've always looked beautiful. But you look... More satisfied with yourself." And Buggy has to hold back the tears and that's why she starts saying things like "Pffft. Yeah! I knew I'd be gorgeous like this too! Now I look even flashier!" and y'know, the two men are letting her have her moment because now she looks even better and they can't stop staring at her. So maybe she's right this time when she fakes confidence.

Usopp and Nami need a second to process everything, I think. Also, they both hit Brook at the same time when he's about to ask Sanji the question™. Nami is having a lesbian moment, but of course Sanji realizes and does her Sanji thing like opening her mouth and speaking:

Sanji: Nami-swaaan!!! Do you like how I look now??? Nami, ignoring her and whispering to herself: Disgusting. I hate this. Zoro: At the end of the day it's just curly, huh? Nami: I was thinking with my dick. Zoro: Yeah. Happens. Been there.

So, Usopp and Sanji finally get their moment together because at least the Strawhats are respectful enough to give them their sweet uhhhh two minutes before they start complimenting Sanji. So that's something! Sanji is confident with her body but is a bit shy and isn't sure what Usopp will think about this. Not that she has changed much, even, but, you know. Just different. In a good way for her! But different. And Usopp approaches her slowly and smiling and he's just so so so happy. And he's like "You look gorgeous!" / "... Really? I wasn't sure whether you'd like it-" / "I will always like you! But more importantly, do you like you?" / "I mean- Weird phrasing, but yes. Yes? I think so. Yes." / "Then that's all that matters." And Sanji really, really doesn't want to cry because she has never cried in front of the whole crew. She just can't help it. But Usopp knows she doesn't like it when others see her cry so he quickly wipes her tears away and when she starts laughing (so so happy and full of love) Usopp just needs to kiss her.

Meanwhile, Luffy is there calling Buggy auntie and asking when she's going to tell Shanks about this. She keeps saying she will never tell him and if he wants to find out, he'll do it through her new wanted poster or whatever, but not from her.

Ok so you know how the comics take place in the same universe as the justice league and all those guys? And you know how in the comic of 24/7 there's some local, small town superhero on TV, suggesting that any random loser can be a superhero? Do you see where I'm going with this?

Superhob: mild-mannered professor by day, scourge of London's criminal underworld by night. Calls himself The Immortal, doesn't appear to have any superpowers but fights with all kinds of old-timey weapons like maces and crossbows and stuff. He's been shot and stabbed and blown up and all kinds of things that really should have killed him, but he just keeps coming back. Probably has an ongoing rivalry/sexual tension with Johanna.

Could be a fishbowl rescue, and/or maybe he manages to catch the Corinthian? Or like, he somehow manages to cross paths with Dream shortly after he gets out of the fishbowl and they just do the Spiderman pointing meme at each other. Idk, I didn't have any particular plot in mind but I feel like there's a lot of potential there...

I like the idea of a fishbowl rescue - Hob’s been hearing these rumours about fawney rigg for years, and one day he just happens to be in the area. He figures he'll take a look, since he's already in costume/fully equipped with weapons. Turns out he only has to bonk an old man over the head with the butt of his sword, so it's not very complicated to infiltrate the Manor. But what he finds in the basement in a lot more complicated, that's for sure.

He gets Dream out of the glass, glad that he's got such array of pointy, heavy medieval weapons. He can't get over the fact that he's just rescued his stranger. His stranger apparently can't get over the fact that Hob is trying to be a superhero (Hob resents the word trying - he's a very good superhero thanks very much).

Dream is like "Well thanks very much but now I have to find all my stuff" and Hob is like "cool! I'll help!" So superhob and the sandman join forces, to look for the sand (Hob has a pretty good idea that Jo had some weird magic pouch at one point). Maybe along the way they discuss the whole 1889 misunderstanding. Dream admits that maybe they are friends now. Even if Hob’s superhero identity is kind of cringe.

I quite like the idea of Dream going to hell (and refusing to let Hob come), so while he's gone Hob goes and looks for the Corinthian and a lot of stabbing goes down, but ultimately Hob captures Cori and when Dream comes back, he finds his rogue nightmare bound up with ancient magic while Hob sits on his chest and smiles smugly.

Maybe Superhob is a little more competent than Dream was willing to admit...

I'm a little late, but I wish all dear fathers, uncles and grandfathers a happy Father's Day! As with mother's day, this day is celebrated differently from country to country and they are not on the same date. In Europe, Father's Day is generally celebrated in the month of March, especially on March 19, on the Day of St. Joseph, the patron saint of Jesus and the husband of Mary, mostly in Catholic countries. While in some countries it is celebrated during June and August, and sometimes before Christmas. Most of the world celebrates Father's Day every third Sunday of June. So Happy Father's Day!

And on that occasion I drew Donald Duck as the best parent for my nephews, even though he is their uncle, he still took care of them the best and it saddens me that many people deny that. However, so that it is not always one and the same, I drew Donald Duck as a superhero and as Paperiniks (Duck Avenger), and there are also his rude and naughty, but also smart nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck as little Paperiniks or Duck Avengers Junior, certainly like superheroes. And I drew this as a redraw from the popular Spiderman Spide-verse meme where Miles Morales, the future Spiderman imitates his mentor and teacher Peter Parker. That's how Donald's nephews trust their idol Donald Duck as the Duck Avenger. Yes, in a lot of European (especially Italian) comics, Donald's nephews dress up and be like the Duck Avenger. Funny, isn't it?

And I'm drawing this on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the first appearance of Duck Avenger.

Duck Avenger was invented on this day. Duck Avenger was created in 1969 in a comic book by Guido Martina and Giovanni Carpi (correct me about the name of the author) and since then Donald has been an avenger and later he will be a real superhero. And in 1996, a comic book of new stories about Paperinik was published under the name Paperinik New Adventures (Pkna). Of course, Donald also celebrates his birthday on June 9 and this year is his jubilee 90th birthday, so I wish the best duck a happy birthday. My only apologies for the bad background, otherwise they are in the forest if anyone asks me.

I'm gonna stay on topic because fairy Hyrule makes me feel happiness I haven't felt in weeks (thanks finals).

may I request some Fairy! Hyrule and player? Or if you want to spice it up Fairy! Hyrule and Fae! Player (because that was a really big thing that I really miss Fae! Player please come back baby I've changed!!). I feel like even before they recognized each other it was the equivalent of that spiderman meme.

Hyrule was already a place of many wonders when you had first stumbled through that portal of dark magic. The lush green fields, the towering oak forests, the magical sights of fairy fountains or the mythical beasts the wandered the planes without a single care in the world. It was truly a masterpiece, something taken straight from a fairytale and you stayed mystified the entire step of the way.

What would you see? Where would you go? What would happen? So many questions laid out, cards dealt by destiny as you experienced a Hylians life and more.

This was one of those more occasions.

A blessing cast upon you and now you were the size of a common fairy, dressed in magical silks with a beautiful glow as you tried to fly around the small fairy fountain surrounded by faefolk.

The Great Fairy had found you adorable, fluttering about in a cute daze trying to comprehend the beating of those beautiful sparkling wings on your back. The sister fairies giggled and cooed, rushing to bombarded you with praise and reassurances that you were doing so well, trying to navigate and stay calm. And Hyrule…well, Hyrule-

You had found him in a cave, shrouded in ivy and moss, the walls decorated in beautiful luminous algae that only enhanced the pure ethereal look to it all. The small running stream singing off the rock as it delved deeper and deeper into the mysterical grounds. Some sister fairies flew, gaping and greeting you kindly as you searched quietly for your other half, not wanting to interrupt their daily goings. You felt like an intruder, despite being welcome and you hurried only to pause upon seeing him.

Fluttering just above the small lake, wings beating similar to a humming bird as he conversed quietly with a group of fae. A small opening in the ceiling brought a halo of light that made him look truly magical among the girls. Maybe it it was you simping heart or maybe it was the truth, but Hyrule looked to be the prettiest in the room.

You called out to him, slowly hovering over, watching him turn in surprise only to pause.

He looked starstruck as you fluttered right before him, looking flustered and refusing to share his gaze.

“You…” He started, reaching out to gently brush his hand against your arm. “You look-”

“Silly.” Finishing, you shrunk a little more. “I look silly-”

“Breathtaking.” Capturning your chin, your eyes met in exchange. “Why would you say something so foolish, my dear?”

“I….I just don’t think being a fairy suits me, alright? I’m not very graceful or elegant.”

“Nonesense, graceful is too weak a word to describe the beauty you possess right now- not that you aren’t beautiful all the time!” He yelped, an image of nervous sweat brewing on his brow in your mind. “But seeing you like this…you are quite stunning, my dear.”

He looked puzzled next, “Why are you like this, anyhow? How did you come to turn into a fairy?”

“Well, everyone was trying to look for you after lunch and so I decided to have a look-”

“You left camp by yourself!?”

“-let me finish, thank you- anyway, I came across a fairy fountain and I decided “Well, if anyone knows it’s gonna be one of your mothers or your sisters” and they did. But instead of just telling me your mother decided to turn me into a fairy so I could find you instead.” You smiled, crooked. “I have already fallen four times.”

The snort that escaped him wasn’t amusing in the slightest, your face reflecting your souring expression only to vanish when he decided to tug you closer, an arm snaking around your waist while the other came to intertwine your fingers. His sisters had zipped off with laughs, watching from afar the scene as the man began to gently sway you. Slow at first. You weren’t perfect at this, but with time came clarity and you were able to keep up with his movements.

“Why are we dancing?”

“Why not?”

“Hm, fair enough.”

The hums of the girls were you ballad, the surface of the pond your dancefloor and Hyrule as your partner was truly a fairytale. Sharing giggles and taking turns to dip, spin and lift one another like dancers in an actual ball, your audience enjoyed the show by sharing applause in the face of he final dip, your eyes looking up to Hyrule with nothing but love and excitement.

“Well, fairy prince.” But a whisper, your hand came to hold his cheek. “I think this is the part where you kiss me.”

“A ruin the stillness of this moment? What an absurd idea, my dear.”

At your pout he chuckled, leaning closer. “But…if that’s truly what you wish.”

Your shared glow bloomed, bouncing off the reflection of the water and showering the cave in iridescent light.

You would have to thank the Great Fairy later.

Request: Tom Peter Parker x male reader, reader and Peter patrolling together and it being super goofy and cute

You went out to patrol the city with Peter. You and Peter did manage to stop some thieves but that's it. You are sitting on the roof and you are watching cars pass by. The building across has a basketball game on and you start to watch it. Peter came back with pizza and drinks, he sits down next to you.

“I got pizza,” Peter said.

He takes off his mask and you took off your mask too.

“Finally, you came back. I want grape soda” You said.

“Here. Took a while because the owner wanted to take pictures with Spiderman” Peter said.

Sometimes you help Peter stop the criminals. Peter likes working with and he doesn't have to lie anymore like before. Now, you and Peter start to eat the pizza, now Peter is telling you a joke. You did laugh at the joke but it wasn't too funny. But you and Peter start to talk about funny videos and which was the best. He takes out his phone, then he showed some funny memes and videos. You and Peter can't stop laughing about it.

After eating, you and Peter start to patrol the city again. You can fly and he starts to use his webs, then he stands on the window of a random city.

“Y/n, I have a question but you can tell me no” Peter said.

“What is it?” You asked.

“How does it feel to fly? I have always been curious about flying and how it feels” Peter said.

“I don't know how to explain, to be honest. Maybe I can show you?” You said.

“How?” Peter asked.

He let you pick him up. You picked him up high enough and he sticks out his arms. You start to go fast but he started to freak out

“Slow down! I don't want to die!” Peter panicked.

“Sorry! Okay, I will go slow” You said.

You start to go slow and he didn't panic. But he is starting to like it and you couldn't help to laugh.

“I like it! I'm flying” Peter smiled.

You did it for a while. You land on a random building and he can't stop smiling.

“Y/n, that was so much fun!” Peter said.

“Good that you like it. But I won't keep doing that” You said.

“I know but it was worth it. Thanks” Peter said.

“Anytime,” You said.

Now Peter starts talking about how it felt that Tony picked me to be an Avenger. He starts to talk about Steve being serious and how Tony is a cool mentor, it made you laugh.

You and Peter saved two teenagers from being mugged. They wanted a group selfie, then you and Peter agreed to it.

You and Peter sit on the roof close to each other. You took a selfie with Peter, but he put the dog filter on. You two started to laugh, he adds other funny emojis in the picture.

It was getting late, you and Peter are ready to go home.

“Y/n, do you want to race home?” Peter asked.

“You, know that I have speed and I can beat you plus I can fly,” You said.

“You will lose to me” Peter smiled.

“Whatever, Spiderman. Okay, let's race” You said.

“Okay!” Peter said.

You used speed to race, but he used a device that helped him teleport.

“I don't even know why-”

“Hey!” Peter yelled.

That made you jump, he is upside down and he is holding onto the web.

“But how!?” You asked.

“Because of Tony, I got a device that will help me teleport anywhere I want,” Peter said.

“And you wanted to show it off,” You said.

“Yeah, that's why. I thought it would be fun” Peter said.

“That’s cheating,” You said.

“Nope. You're just mad that I won” Peter said.

“Whatever,” You said.

You and Peter go inside the apartment and start to change. He starts to talk about the device of what it can do.

*cracks knuckles* They're definitely idiots to lovers but as in they're idiots and they become lovers, not as in "oblivious to the other's extreme attraction until a climatic moment"

Who was the one to propose? I want it to be Soap so badly but also think it'd be very on brand for them/their relationship if Gaz also proposed. I'm talking like the Spiderman meme where they point at each other when they realize and then they laugh and neither can even say yes, they try to kiss but they're both still laughing too hard. It's just such a beautiful mental image that I have right now :')

Who stressed more over wedding planning? Gaz. Gaz a thousand times over. Soap is experienced with weddings and wedding planning (he has so many in-law siblings and almost all of his cousins his age/older are married.) but Gaz doesn't have any experience with even being at a wedding, much less planning his own.

Who decorated the house? Gaz. He's got style and taste, but he a hundred percent uses a lot of Soap's artwork :)

Who does the cooking? Soap. He was taught and raised well by such a large family that food was just a staple of his upbringing.

Who is more organized? Hot take? Soap is the more organized one. He's a demo expert, yes, but those things are fucking dangerous! He may not be cleaner necessarily, but he knows certain things CANNOT mix, and he got so into the habit of putting things into separate categories that it just carried over into civilian living.

Who suggested kids first? Soap, jokingly. But in terms of who was serious when suggesting it? Gaz. Soap had made a comment about "what if we had one?" while at a MacTavish family event and pointing at a little niece/nephew of his as a joke. Gaz had to play along with it but internally he was flipping out. He brings up the conversation of kids as a serious topic a few weeks later.

Who's the cuddler? Both are very physically affectionate. But in terms of 'must be touching you at all times?' it's Gaz. Soap runs hot I feel like, so especially at night he doesn't really want cuddles but Gaz is like "too bad you're stuck with me >:) "

Who's big spoon/little spoon? Gaz is big spoon at night, but during the day when cuddling on the couch or something it's Soap

What's their favorite non-sexual activity? Museum dates. Gaz is such a little nerd and Soap loves art. Museum dates are perfect for them, cause it's something calm and beautiful, there's an opportunity for Gaz to get a new book or something, and for a desert afterwards.

Who comes home drunk at 3am? I wanna say Soap. He's just such a golden retriever that if a bunch of their friends are hanging out at bars, he's right there with them. Gaz is there, too, but he doesn't usually drink to drunkenness like Soap does.

Who kills the spiders? Gaz. It's not that Soap is afraid of them but he argues that it's best if he and the spider remain on opposite sides of the room. Gaz doesn't give a flying fuck

Who falls asleep first? Depends. If it's during a late-night movie in their flat, it's Soap. Gaz gets too invested in every movie they watch so he can never fall asleep first. But if it's right when they go to bed, it's usually Gaz cause Soap needs to do something like doodle/journal for a bit to calm his mind before he can.

A headcanon: Trying to decide if I want to keep this SFW or just go the nasty route... I'll keep it safe for now. They do pretty much everything together, especially on base. They just love each other's company so much and both thrive off social interaction so it's like a win-win. They'll workout together, they eat together, they go grocery shopping together. They're such an iconic duo it's hard to ignore the fact they're together. ALSO, I fully believe Soap is just whipped for Gaz's smile/laugh (aren't we all?) that he does everything in his power to see it/hear him laugh. Even if Gaz's 'laugh' is just a bunch of wheezing punctuated by laughing sounds, Soap still finds it so beautiful. Anything he can do to make Gaz smile/laugh was worth doing

Do they have any rituals? Gaz is the one with the most rituals, so to speak. He's got a whole skin care routine (that he dragged Soap into), he's got some pretty good oral hygiene. Soap has a whole morning ritual that is far too complicated for Gaz's understanding. It's about how he makes his coffee and it's one of the most bizarre things Gaz has ever witnessed.

Who has the most patience? Probably Gaz. Even though, in the field, they're both patient (they're both snipers and Soap is a demo man, both roles require a lot of physical patience), Soap is pretty short-tempered when it comes to most other things. Like, physically, he's patiently waiting for something, but when you listen to him talking to Gaz, it's just complaining about how bored/impatient he is. It takes a lot to get Gaz genuinely angry at something, which is not to say he's going from 0-100 in these instances. He's definitely showing he's annoyed at everything, but whether he actually acts on it or not is the determining factor of his patience.

Diana was taken aback when she encountered the vampire who looked so much like her husband. He'd barely stopped when they almost bumped into each other.

"I am so sorry ma'am. I should've seen where I was going."

She gave him a smile and shook her head, "Not your fault--" "Lucas--I'm Lucas Charpentier--and you're?" She shook his outstretched hand, "Diana Bishop."

Lucas' face lit up at that, "The famous witch, Diana Bishop--you stood up to the congregation, did you not?"

"I did. Word travels fast I take it."

If he could blush he would, instead dipping his head and letting out a small chuckle.

As they stood there chatting, a car pulled up beside them, and the back of Diana's neck ran cold, Matthew.

"Can I help you, sir?" He asked coldly, a hand on Diana's back as he stared down Lucas. She tried to say something, but Matthew wouldn't listen.

"Father?" Lucas said, almost stunned. To the younger man, Matthew hadn't aged a day since they last saw each other, when Lucas was only a little boy.

"You--what?" Diana asked confused, looking from Lucas to Matthew and back to Lucas.

Matthew showed no sign of recognizing the young boy, but how could he, it had been centuries.

"Who are you?"

Lucas looked physically upset at the question, like he'd just been punched in the face. "I'm Lucas--your son--it's me, dad."

Diana wanted to pull him in for a hug the second he said that, not wanting the younger man to suffer any longer.

"That's impossible! They told me Lucas died, hours after his mother--centuries ago!"

"Take my blood, and see for yourself--" Diana shakes her head, "you will not, I can check, without hurting you Lucas." Freeing herself from Matthew, so moved closer to Lucas, hands out, "May I put my hands on the sides of your head?"

He nods at that, both ignoring Matthew's staring as Diana puts her hands on the temples of Lucas' head. Memories of the young man's long life came rushing forward, clouding Diana's mind, making her stumble slightly, but she kept her hands on him, trying to sift through it all, to find the start.

Matthew, looking so young, having one arm wrapped around a blonde woman's waist, and the woman holding a little brown haired boy, Lucas. They looked so happy.

Then--Blanca being carried away to be seen by a doctor--Lucas crying, clinging to his father's leg--Matthew crying too, but not as much--possibly staying strong for his son--hours after--Lucas is taken away too--reunited with his mom--and a strange woman--

Diana almost didn't want to let go, but feeling she's gotten what she needs, she lets go of his head. "It's true Matthew--he's telling the truth."

"But--I mourned for you--for both of you--I was so lost, without--" red streaks rolled down Matthew cheeks as he looked at Lucas again.

Diana came to his side quickly, pulling him in for a hug. "I'm sorry my love." She'd not seen him this broken--not since the memory of him after Philippe died.

They hugged for a bit longer, until he managed to compose himself, and look at his son once more, the younger vampire was crying too.

"Lucas?" Matthew opened his arms, letting the boy choose if he wanted to hug him or not, and he shot into his dad's arms, hugging him so tightly. "It's okay my boy. It's all okay."

König x Y/n drabble(?)

Literally had a random König brainrot at 2am yesterday where König always keeps eye contact with y/n, an instant telepathy when they communicate. I need to get this out of my chest cs i love him sm <3

I'm not really a god-tier writer esp writing hcs so please bear with me T 3 T)/

Your relationship with König involves alot of communicating with each other through talking and eye language.

It can be just talking about each other's pet peeve, favourite meal and past times. As time progresses, you and könig opened up about each other's pasts.

So both of you had developed a deep bond with each other that sometimes you and könig could instantly link from looking at each other.

König may be selectively mute when he's uncomfortable or around soldiers he barely recognize. You can sense his restless gaze on you, and you would immediately knew he's uncomfortable. Other times you and könig would looked at each other in unison, knowing that both of you had agree to the same thought. Like that one spiderman meme pointing at the same spiderman--

He will look at you and go 'I don't wanna goooo T^T' when both of you were forced to go to a post-successful mission party this one night.

It was mostly because of the younger recruites celebrating prolly their first successful mission in a while. Price was up for a free wiskey and his cigars, Ghost and Soap long gone since their arrival back to the base, and Gaz's just chilling. On the other hand, You were dragged along with König, despite declining the offer, exuding more exhaustion than both of you had already feel. They knew both of you are introverts, but like they say the more the merrier.

So you and König entered the pub nearest to the base, mostly famous for soldiers to hang out. Both of you sat on the stool nearest to the exit.

Two butter beers later (yes butter beer exists in this pub cs i said so-) König nudges you with a suggestive eye. In an instant you knew what he was trying to say;

Are you thinking what I'm thinking, my little maus?' small patches of butter beer foam latching around his pretty little grin. You grinned back, eyes glittering with excitement knowing what comes next. 'Let's get out of here, mein liebchen'.

You look left and right making sure no one's looking around before leading König out of the pub. Giggling and stumbling on flat grounds like the good chaotic couple you are as both of you walked back to könig's room, where you both spend the night showering and cuddling the night away with each other's warmth to a deep slumber.

Okay since I'm waiting for laundry, I'm gonna write up some fuller thoughts on the new Spider-verse. Spoilers abound beneath the readmore!

So I'm gonna start with the good, because it really WAS a good movie. The main thing working against it is that it's the successor to the original Spider-verse, which was such a master-class in style and storytelling.

Things I loved:

I'll shout out the animation to start, because how can you not. Absolutely lives up to the original Spider-verse and more with "oh this is giving me chills" style and animation. The whole sequence of Gwen saving people at the Gugenheim absolutely awed me.

Speaking of Gwen, Gwen. That whole first half-hour-ish of Gwen-focused screentime was so, so good... Loved her character-development. Loved her banter. Loved all the jokes and goofs and punch-out back and forth during the Gugenheim fight against... villain whose name I'm forgetting. Miguel showing up was great. Jess showing up was even better.

Gwen unmasking herself to her father was so so good... That was the precise moment I went "oh, yeah, I want to come see this again." This then rolled into Miles's part of the story, and his whole sequence with fighting Spot while trying to get to the parent-teacher conference *chef's kiss*. Amazing animation. Amazing goofs. Amazing humor.

Then... hmm, I have some critiques about much of the middle of the movie... I'll get back to that in the next section. But it still had its highlights: Spider-punk and Pavitr were fantastic, and I feel they were used just the right amount. The gags at Spider H.Q. were excellent. Spiderman-pointing-meme my beloved.

Then when the twist hit... my jaw was on the floor. I'd noticed Rio's eyes were green instead of brown, and just chalked it up to maybe a small production error or an effect of the lighting. Even the "Who's Spiderman?" I was willing to count as just the most hilarious possible identity reveal, to a mom who's just not really paying attention to the street vigilante scene. Then it hit... and the fact that Gwen and Miles were not experiencing the same reality just ah... AH!!!

Things I felt kinda so-so about:

The middle part of the movie felt a bit... lacking in tightness? The tension with his parents felt a bit meandering, seeming to wrap up and then come back, and I feel Rio's attitude toward Miles changed without much reason to have caused it to change.

There was a discomfort to the scene with Miles and Gwen spidering around the city... which I know was largely intentional due to the romantic tension and the "Gwen lying to Miles", but I just Do Not Like romantic tension between characters that did so well as friends. I really didn't care for Miles's jealousy over Hobie.

The Spider H.Q. stuff... I really WANTED to like... but I always feel a sort of perhaps second-hand embarrassment for the kind of stories that are like "yeah there's literally thousands of us in on this, but we didn't invite you because ummmmm 😬".

In addition to that, I also have a distaste for the trope that's like "Every single rational and highly-qualified individual knows that 'X' is a terrible and destructive idea that can get people killed. However our naive and head-strong main character thinks we should do 'X'! So he fights off literally everyone else (and wins, for no reason, considering any one of the highly qualified individuals should out-class him) because he's the main character, and it'll work out okay just because." Like.. personally I had a very hard time rooting for Miles in all that.

Additionally... why did Miguel even tell him that they were all just gonna sit back and let Miles's dad die? Like I get it was necessary for the plot, but it was done with this expectation that Miles would just be like "oh okay I guess :(".

What I would have liked way more would be this: After Miles saves the (should have died) Police Chief from Pavitr's world, Miguel says Miles has "proven himself" and can come to Spider H.Q. to come be trained. (Really, Miguel has recognized Miles is an active threat as a canon-breaker, and he needs to keep Miles distracted for a few days while the canon event of Miles's dad dying takes place in his own dimension.) Gwen and Peter B. understand what's happening, but are forced to go along with it, behaving strangely the whole time. Then when Miles catches them in a lie and the truth comes out, THAT'S when Miles rebels and tries to fight against everyone to get home...

I also would have liked it if maybe there was like... more of a hint of hope for canon-broken universes to be saved. Like if Miguel's policy was "a universe can be saved after canon-breaking, however it's too risky for all the people in that universe to it's Spider Law that we must let our canon events occur. We all make this sacrifice for everyone's mutual protection." then I'd see Miles's defiance as more of a "well I'm breaking from you and will succeed at the risky thing of saving my universe and my dad". They did a little bit hint at this possibility with the fact that Pavitr's dimension is not necessarily doomed, but like if they made this clearer I'd feel better about Miles's defiance being not doomed to kill his entire dimension.

Hmm, I also wanted more out of Peter B. I know this wasn't his movie, but I didn't totally love that so much of his role in this movie was being against Miles. (Next movie, I guess).

And all of this felt just, way less tight than the OG Spider-verse. The OG hit all its marks like a perfect run of Guitar Hero and exploded into an amazing finale. This one... just meandered a bit. In the OG, Miles's leap of faith hit so perfectly. That was THE moment he could make that leap. Vs in this one when he tells his mom ("mom", lol) that he finally faced everyone and won and whatever... it just didn't really hit right.

BUT, I don't wanna end this on a negative note, so actually I wanna talk about the twist again.

Actually before I talk about the twist again, I wanna talk about the scene with Gwen and her dad. The "I quit being a cop halfway through your speech" (and the fact that this may present the loophole that saves her father now). The unspoken fact that Gwen was maybe avoiding coming back because she knew her dad was doomed and didn't want to deal with it. Her dad choosing her over everything. It just. It's good...

BACK to the twist. I am NOT a "talks in the movie theater" person but I couldn't help going "OH his dad is dead in THIS universe :000000" once the reveal hit. And that reveal was like 10 reveals all at once that had me just :0000000

Aaron walking in. The reveal that the whole city is aflame because, as Miguel had called out earlier, this universe doesn't have its Spiderman. The "what did you do to your hair". The mural for Jeff instead. The reveal that Gwen and Miles are nowhere near each other. The overlap of Jeff returning him in the universe Gwen is in with Aaron returning him in the universe Miles is in. Miles getting knocked out and I instantly knew it was Dimension42!Miles that did it to him. The Prowler is thriving and it's Miles this time.
