Kind of a test video, mainly shot to see how difficult filming combat in captura would be… I know I sometimes have “fight scenes” but they aren’t the same lol I also realized after making this, I really don’t like doing vertical videos lol wish we had a rotate camera 90 degree toggle, would make shooting them easier 🤔 but I think I’ll shoot videos horizontal from now on.

Day 6: Bird 3: Maybe A Distraction Is Indeed Welcome
She just wants to focus on the task at hand. Yet, an unexpected visitor at the edge of the cliffs of the Sanctum Anatomica might be more welcome company than Natah is prepared to admit.
TW: None for this chapter.
Since this prompt marks the start of Tennotober’s ‘QTCC Week’, I decided to try and challenge myself in a similar way to those who are doing art or captura pieces. So, for every prompt from Day 6 to Day 12, there will be something pink that’s mentioned in the story. Also, just to let y’all know, this fic does have slight spoilers for Rank 5 with the Cavia.
With that out of the way, the fic begins under the cut.
“Hey! Miss Lotus? Hey!” The harsh squawk sends a shock through her system, having become used to the nearly silent atmosphere, in which the only sound is the constant ringing, and the song that follows. Her jaw tightens, knowing who the speaker is without needing to turn her head. She has not had the…misfortune of speaking with it—him, a tired hum corrects her—yet. She had hoped that would continue. She ignores the creature, certain that it—he, the correction is repeated—will leave her be once it is sufficiently bored.
“Miss Lotus?! Heeeey! Can ya hear me?” Evidently her assumption is incorrect. Her grip tightens on the small device in her hands, as she turns abruptly. She stares warily at the creature—a brightly colored avian adorned in gilded accessories—, though of course, their helmet serves as a barrier, prohibiting it from reading her expression.
“What?” Her sharp reply has the creature tilting its head, shifting its tiny wings up and down for a moment. She embraces the absence of the shrill voice, though it only lasts a brief time before her question receives a response.
“You’re talking funny today. Are you angry, Miss Lotus? Can I help?” Irritation flashes through her mind—though it is tempered by the quiet fondness that is not hers—, and she hisses harshly.
“I do not speak strangely. I am not the Lotus. You cannot help.” She notices the creature’s large eyes shift slightly, what can only be categorized as confusion darting through them. It—weary exasperation flickers slowly through their mind at her insistence on treating the creature like an animal— tilts its head to the other side, before nodding slowly.
“Okay! If you aren’t Miss Lotus, who are ya?” That seems to be the only statement that it has latched onto, seemingly accepting it almost as quickly as the words had emerged into the still air. A creeping vine of confusion worms itself around her mind. How is this animal able to accept it this easily?
“I am Natah.” Perhaps she should not have snapped at it, but she cannot bring herself to care. The bird stares at her, blinking a few times, before clicking its long beak.
“Nice to meet’cha Miss Natah. I’m Bird 3. Or Bird. So why’re you mad?” She simply glares at it, not dignifying its question with a response. The bird fluffs its tail feathers for a moment, before continuing.
“Is it ‘cuz you’re all alone out here? I don’t think I’d like that either. I don’t like being alone. That’s when the voices get real loud—Hey, do you hear ‘em?!” If she were not capable of processing nearly limitless strands of data at once, Natah is sure that her mind would be reeling from the sheer amount of thoughts that the bird shifted between. Deciding to nip this behavior in the bud, she hisses, ignoring the Lotus’s quiet protest.
“Why are you here?” Bird 3 moves its wings in an almost shrugging motion, or as close as it can feasibly get to one.
“‘Dunno. Wanted to say hi. Mister Tagfer said I shouldn’t, but between you and me, I think he’s just being weird. He’s being all stompy and huffy again. Rark.” She does not know who this ‘Tagfer’ is, and the others cannot conjure up an image of him either. Perhaps the bird should have listened, however. At least it would have saved her from its shrill voice, which is a distraction that she cannot afford. A sharp dismissal forms at the front of her mind, though she finds herself unable to verbalize it. The Lotus whispers, her tone quiet, hardly recognizable.
“Do not be harsh with him, he means well.” She pushes the other being away, ignoring the wave of discomfort that results from the action. She is supposed to be resting, not concerning herself with this animal. That is why Natah is standing guard.
“Miss Natah? Hey? Are you okay?” The bird’s loud question brings her attention back to the situation at hand. She scoffs, the sound almost metallic in nature.
“I am fine.” She turns away, facing the edge of the cliff once more. For a moment, there is blissful silence, aside from the constant call of the Void. She suddenly hears a thud, feeling a weight press against the side of her leg.
“What are you doing?” She tilts her gaze downward, seeing it crane its head up to look at her. She cannot read its gaze.
“Sitting.” Its tone suggests that this should be obvious, sending exasperation through her.
“I can see that. Why?” Bird 3 momentarily tilts its head towards its body, rustling its feathers with its beak, before responding.
“‘Cuz I wanted to.” It speaks like a petulant child, she finds, though as it nudges her leg with its head, she is reminded of something else: the ‘Kavat’ that the Lotus is so fond of. It does the same thing with her. She exhales sharply, but stays silent. The bird manages to sit quietly for a short while, and she nearly forgets that it is there.
Until the silence is broken.
“So why’d you stop singing? Are you not sad anymore?” She had not been ‘sad’ in the first place, but no matter. She replies, her tone curt, but not cruel.
“The Lotus is resting. I do not need to sing at the moment.” The bird seems to ponder her response for a moment, before nodding.
“Hey, do ya wanna see something cool, Miss Natah?” She is about to decline—because really, what could a bird have to show her?—, though a disapproving hum sounds in their mind. Exasperation coils within her thoughts. What is it about this creature that has both of them caring for it?
“Fine.” She glances down at Bird 3, who stands up, hopping slightly in excitement. It seems to concentrate for a moment, though the Shepherd does not notice anything out of the usual. At least, not until its feathers begin to shift their hues, the bright green of its torso turning a distinct pink-violet color. She tilts her head, curiosity overcoming her irritation despite her efforts.
“Did’ja see it! Isn’t it cool?!” Its cheerful exclamation rings through the still air at the cliff’s edge, its clawed feet tapping on the flattened stone as it hops from side to side. She is intrigued, she reluctantly admits to herself.
“How did you do that?” It seems that her question gives the bird pause, because it tilts its head, glancing at its own feathers for a moment as if they hold the answers.
“‘Dunno. Just kinda thought real hard and boom, now I’m pink. Mister Fish-O-nacci and Mister Loid say it’s got something to do with the Void. Rark.” Intriguing. She had heard that Albrecht had exposed certain creatures to the Void, but how exactly they survived the ordeal seems to be a mystery. The Sentient notices the bird glancing at its tail, the yellow feathers turning a bright azure color. Something about the sight stirs a memory in her, a memory of her own skin shifting, changing to suit her whims. This is not nearly as complex, but she finds that curiosity still weaves through her mind.
Perhaps that is what causes her next action.
She closes her eyes for a moment, the image firmly set in her mind. She concentrates on her arm, feeling the skin contorting, changing. In only a few seconds, it is done. She opens her eyes, smirking with satisfaction as she sees the dark, claw-like hand that she has conjured. It is similar to the smaller arms on her true form, and she tests it, moving her fingers. She hears a high-pitched gasp, and turns to the bird. Its beak hangs open, its eyes widened, and it seems almost at a loss for words.
Almost.
“WOAH! Miss Natah, how did’ja do that? Can you teach me? Can all people do that?! I need to ask Mister Loi—“ She cuts him off, the edge of her voice not as sharp as before.
“No, I cannot teach you, and no, humans cannot do this. I am a Sentient. I can change my form as it suits me.” She can tell that Bird 3 does not grasp what exactly a Sentient is, but he nods anyhow.
“Well that’s cool. Maybe the Void got you too. Wish I could learn, I want a claw hand thingy.” She tells herself that she simply does not have the energy to correct him, though a teasing hum in their mind suggests that she has other motives. She dismisses the notion, feeling him slump against her leg once more. He makes an odd, seemingly contented sound, bumping his head against her.
“I like you, Miss Natah. You talk funny and your words are all pointy, but you’re good, like Miss Lotus. You sound mean, but you’re not.” He pauses, tilting his head up to look at her, then nods sharply, clicking his beak.
“Yeah, you’re good.” She does not know what possesses her to do this, why her arm moves without her permission, but she finds herself running her hand along the top of his head, right behind the large, metallic helmet. He—when had she started calling him ‘he’ instead of ‘it’?—chirps, leaning into the touch. Despite her earlier insistence, she realizes that this is not truly that terrible. Perhaps this is why the Lotus is so attached to that Kavat.
When Bird 3 begins to make a habit out of greeting her, Natah does not find herself complaining.

Taking On a New, Father Sesshōmaru
— What were your thoughts upon hearing about the “Hanyō no Yashahime” project?
When I suddenly heard from the people of Sunrise that they were going to start a new work that inherited the world of “Inuyasha”, I was shocked to say the least. At the same time, I was curious as to what would happen to Sesshōmaru and the other characters as well as the cast.
— Please tell us what your impression was when you first read the script.
When I learned that Sesshōmaru’s children would be the protagonists this time from reading the script, I had a strong feeling of “Why!?”. Perhaps having children didn’t connect well with the Sesshōmaru inside me from the time of Inuyasha. However, that in itself is a fun new development, so I thought I would take on the challenge (laughs).
— How did it feel to (play) Sesshōmaru for the first time in a while?
Sesshōmaru’s position in “Hanyō no Yashahime” is that of a father, so it felt like I was acting a Sesshōmaru that came to a separate world that was different from the world of “Inuyasha”. However, while remembering Sesshōmaru up to this point, I thought about all sorts of things while putting in the effort such as if he’s a parent, he would interact with his daughters like this, or even if there is love, he also possesses cruelty and cold heartedness so perhaps he’s experimenting with his daughters in order to learn what he wants.
— Please tell us what you were focused on with your acting.
A lot of times, I don’t do well if I try to calculate my performance, so I purposely don’t look at documents containing future developments. I exhibit my strength when I’m driven to the edge of a cliff (laughs). I was also conscious of making sure my voice didn’t change. Although, I don’t try to copy my voice exactly from 10 years ago. What is most important to me is facing the character.
— Please tell us a story from the recording site.
I was happy to have been able to talk to Cho-san, the role of Jaken, again after 10 years. His voice hadn’t changed at all, still the same as always (laughs). Seeing a healthy Kyōdo-san (Hisako), the role of Kaede, gave me power like I also have to persevere more!
— What sort of impressions do you have of Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha, the protagonists of this work?
Towa and Setsuna don’t resemble Rin that much, so they probably inherited Sesshōmaru’s blood strongly. Perhaps the one who’s personality is close to Sesshōmaru’s is the cool Setsuna. Moroha is clumsy and adorable (laughs). I think her recklessness is similar to Inuyasha.
— How do you perceive Sesshōmaru and Rin's relationship?
If Sesshōmaru were to marry someone, I think it would be Rin. However, is it a love between a man and a woman? I don't think Sesshōmaru looked at Rin with that kind of objective. It felt like he was simply a guardian sort of figure. Perhaps he wanted to know what would happen if he acted like a human and wanted to try it out on Rin. Having kids is the result of sexual intercourse between living creatures’ kind of thing. If deciding just on like or dislike, I think he likes it, but I'd like to perceive this as not something black and white but in the middle. I want to aim for that sweet spot like when adjusting the temperature of a bathtub. (laughs)
— Please tell us a scene from the First Chapter that left an impression on you.
The scene where (Sesshōmaru) hands Tenseiga to Towa. He says Towa’s name for the first time with “Shall you give it a try, Towa”; I wanted to bring out something in between passion and coolness (calmness), so even when I got the OK, I recorded it multiple times.
— Please give a message to everyone who is looking forward to the upcoming broadcast.
There may or may not be a scene in the Second Chapter where you will get a glance of Sesshōmaru’s parental love towards Towa and Setsuna… … (laughs). Please look forward to (the Second Chapter), including that!

Lo que voy a decir me costará bloqueos y anon gilipollas pero a estas alturas me da igual.
Si, teníais razón, es real ¿Estáis felices? Por supuesto que no, queréis vernos retorcernos de tristeza y lamentarnos por las esquinas. Veo lo que hacéis y veo la pornografía del dolor en vuestras formas de vanagloriaros de la existencia de un papel y las burlas que eso trae para reafirmaros en vuestro gran pedestal de la verdad.
Pero un papel sólo certifica una boda, un papel no garantiza un matrimonio real. Es un contrato vigente a partir de esa fecha. La convivencia y los gestos son los que hacen que sea real y ella tuvo su oportunidad en la convivencia pandémica pero ella siempre parecía estar sola. Sólo hubo ruidos extraños e insinuaciones verbales y un anillo que parece la lámpara de Aladino porque, a falta de una imagen real, el marido estaba metido dentro.
¿Y qué opino de la relación Tait? Que es un contrato, como el certificado de boda. Ningún troll y Tait me va a convencer de que él es el exitoso hombre de negocios que quieren hacernos creer. Lo dije en su momento en conversaciones privadas con otros ex-shipper y lo mantengo: Es el típico amigo sanguijuela que siempre está intentando aparentar algo que no es, viviendo un tren de vida que no puede permitirse por sus propios medios y que ha vivido siempre al amparo de lo que otros le han ayudado a conseguir, ya sea su hermano o su jefa-esposa. Sus deudas lo delatan, las empresas conjuntas sin actividad y las reales bien diferenciadas y separadas económicamente. Ella no es tonta y él puede ser el apoyo de una narrativa conveniente pero no está demostrando una confianza ciega en él y sus finanzas, manifestando una y otra vez su dejadez e incompetencia: quejoso en los eventos de Oscars e indiferente a su esposa en un momento etílico. Su sonrisa de suficiencia en la fotos de Henley también es muy significativa (y una de las pocas veces que lo vemos sonreír en fotos con ella). No es mi primer fandom y he visto de todo, los actores no son santos y la vida de glamour y Hollywood tienen un precio.
A ojos de los poseedores de la verdad soy un Extreme Shipper aunque nunca he estado convencida del tren de bebés (cosa que quisieron hacerme creer ex-shipper ahora muy beligerantes) y la boda en otros países.
Entonces, ¿cual ha sido siempre mi postura sobre todo este circo? Soy creyente de su relación y Sam y Cait están juntos en todo esto. Sam utiliza el apartamento como plató de tv, la dirección tan conocida por el fandom sólo hace que sea más fácil tener engañados a los acechadores que sólo irán a mirar allí, en realidad no sabemos dónde vive, eso es sólo una cueva útil. Igual que los seguimientos en SM, el eterno mira aquí y no mires allí. Cuando quieren ser privados lo son y nunca sabrás dónde están y con quien. La muy pública relación se muestra en todas partes, la privada sólo es para ellos. Hacer interpretaciones literales de todo lo que se ve y hacen público sólo refuerza las teclas que saben tocar para que la gente baile a su son. Una foto, un seguimiento, un like y el resto escribe el fic.
Y sé que los juegos van a seguir, con fotos posadas-robadas y publicaciones en sitios de clickbait.
También sé que seguiremos siendo monitoreados con capturas de pantalla de todo lo que decimos y comentamos en blog amigos para poder tener contenido en blogs que lo único que publican son sus burlas de un sector del fandom. Por mucho que os moleste y cabree somos creadores de contenido y celebraremos las cosas buenas que nos hacen felices.
Resumiendo.
Se necesitan dos para bailar el tango. En este caso, tres...alguno tiene que tocar el bandoneón.
Y, después de quedarme a gusto, seguimos con la programación habitual.

I still maintain what I said, I am a fan of both and they act according to their character and circumstances. SM is not the Bible and innuendo is still that, innuendo. For those who find it inconceivable that they continue to be a fan of people who are not perfect by their parameters, they look in the mirror and think how high their standard is with the people around them. It is not my first fandom and I have seen everything, the actors are not saints and the life of glamor and Hollywood have a price.
In the eyes of those who have the truth, I am an Extreme Shipper, although I have never been convinced of the baby train (which they wanted me to believe now very belligerent ex-shippers) and the wedding in other countries.
So... what has always been my stance on this whole circus? I am a believer in their relationship and Sam and Cait are together in all of this. Sam uses the apartment as a tv set, the address so well known to the fandom only makes it easier to have the stalkers fooled who will just go look there, we don't really know where he lives, that's just a useful cave. Like the follow in SM, the eternal look here and don't look there. When they want to be private they are and you will never know where they are and with whom. The very public relationship is shown everywhere, the private one is only for them. Making literal interpretations of everything that is seen and made public only reinforces the keys that you can play so that people dance to your song. A photo, a follow, a like and the rest write the fic.
And I know the games will continue, with posed-stolen photos and posts on clickbait sites.
I also know that we will continue to be monitored with screenshots of everything we say and comment on blog friends to be able to have content on blogs that the only thing they publish is their mockery of a sector of the fandom. As much as it bothers and piss you off, we are content creators and we will celebrate the good things that make us happy.
Summarizing.
It takes two to tango. In this case, three ... someone has to play the bandoneon.
And, after this verbiage, I continue with the usual programming.

"It’s A Personal Project”
This is just a drabble, unrelated to anything else I’ve done. I hope you guys enjoy ^^
CW: Sewers, general uncleanliness, death threats, tentacles, implied limb loss
The flashlight’s beam illuminated, on and off, two pairs of feet-- one dressed in the tattered sneakers of a student athlete, the other dressed in the sort of black leather boot that would be shined and polished at the airport.
The footsteps from both pairs of feet echoed rather hollowly throughout the narrow, concrete hallway. Well, perhaps hallway was a little generous.
“The sewers? Really?” As Agent spoke, their leather cleats splashed through a murky puddle of water.
“You said follow in their footsteps, didn’t you?” Hero raised a brow, moving the flashlight beam forth a few feet. In an uneven, faded pattern, muddy bootprints could be seen, stretching out into the abyss. “If we’re going to find Villain, you can’t be squeamish about it.”
“You couldn’t have at least warned me?” The more professional of the two stuck their nose up, before covering it with a hand. “I could have at least brought... hell, I don’t know, a mask or something?”
“If I had warned you, you would have brought everyone else on the force. And when is the last time that worked?”
“I’ll admit our luck hasn’t been the best.”
“It’s not luck. Your coworkers are all just braindead.”
Hero shook their head, shivering as a fat drop of water (at least, they hoped it was water) plopped onto their scalp. They pulled up a hood.
With their forms silhouetted in the flashlight’s beam, the duo showed off a far more intimidating appearance than they were justified for having. On the right, Hero moved, their narrow form outlined with sharp shoulders and a long coat. On the left, Agent, far taller in shape and wider in form, kept pace. Their shoulders were broad enough that they struggled not to scrape them against the concrete walls of the sewer.
An intimidating form, certainly, only thwarted by the fact that one of them was a college professor, with the other employed by an agency that's main role was to be the butt of every joke at headquarters.
Right now, though, it made no matter. In the darkened sewers, no one could care less about their badges or their PhDs. Of course no one cared-- there was no one else down here.
There was no one-
Hero stopped, sticking an arm out to stop Agent from advancing any further. For a moment, silence reigned, aside from the distant trickling of water.
Thunk.
The two turned their gazes upwards as the footstep sounded, followed quickly by another, another, and another. Agent took a step backwards.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to call in the other agents? This-”
“Isn’t their problem.” Hero practically growled in response.
“It is! It’s literally what we get funding for!”
“If you don’t want to help, the exit is that way. Uh, somewhere back there.”
“No, I want to help. I’m helping. I just think... maybe we shouldn’t do this alone?”
“Call it a personal project.”
“What?”
“It’s a personal pro-”
Another resounding thunk, from further away.
Hero gritted their teeth, gripping tighter the flashlight in their hand. The formerly evenly cast beam began, at once, flying all over the place as Hero began a reckless sprint forwards. Agent watched for a moment, before coming to their senses and following.
They hadn’t know Hero for awfully long-- only meeting in brief moments on missions, where they always seemed to inexplicably run into one another. They had spoken many times, certainly, but Agent had never been able to get a very good look at their odd acquaintance.
The way their coat sleeve flapped behind them, though... that didn’t seem normal.
Regardless, Agent didn’t get the chance to look any closer. Hero tore to the right, practically launching themself onto a ladder mounted on the concrete. Before Agent could blink, their compatriot was gone. With a shake of the head, they followed.
The two appeared from a sort of trapdoor into, luckily, a far drier area. The rectangular room expanded around them, void of anything but trash and dust.
And footsteps.
The flashlight beam shot to the catwalk above, just barely catching the shadow of a figure who disappeared around a corner.
Hero didn’t hesitate.
By the time Agent had even realized that they had moved, they were already on the catwalk, twenty feet above. With a sparing thought about how they were going to get so fired, Agent followed, though they loathed to admit that it took them significantly longer to ascend the steps.
The catwalk, so rusted that it barely held its own weight, groaned as the three figures tore across it. The game of non OSHA compliant cat and mouse continued for what must’ve only been a few minutes, but felt like eternity. Ducking around corners, leaping cracks in the grating below, nearly tripping over all manner of scattered trash.
Villain-- Agent could only assume it was them, if only based upon Hero’s reaction to the whole situation-- had the ever-present advantage of speed, like the lithe little bitch they were. On an open field, they would have won the chase, easy.
But this was no open field.
A screech tore through the concrete structure as Villain skidded to a stop. Agent swore they saw sparks fly from the heels of their shoes. They turned, panting, but still smirking.
A dead end.
Behind them, a railing. A wall on one side, a railing on the other. And in front?
Hero took a step forth, one hand on the flashlight, the other, presumably, flapping about within their limp sleeve.
Beneath their coat, something slithered-- a series of bumps, sliding around, writhing and twisting and unraveling.
A black, whip-like tendril sprung from their coat, tearing a gash in it as it went. Another soon followed, then another, until Hero’s coat could be more accurately described as a rag, and six tentacles sprouted from their spine. Each twisted and squirmed over the others, as if they all had their own minds.
Hero took a deep breath, before speaking, in an awfully measured tone:
“I’m going to kill you now.”
The tendrils were fast. Agent was faster.
They weren’t sure what had compelled them-- not even as they leapt. Perhaps it was protocol. ‘Captura Non Nocere,’ ‘Capture Without killing.’ It was their agency motto, inconspicuously printed at the top of every official document. Maybe it was morals. It felt wrong, shooting a trapped bear, even if it was a bear. Maybe they were just stupid.
Whatever the reason, Agent tackled Villain.
Neither had been expecting it, and Hero clearly hadn’t been either. Agent wanted to turn, to yell at Hero for being so reckless, but, at the moment, they had other issues.
Namely, the fact that they had tackled Villain straight over the railing, and the fact that the ground was approaching quite rapidly.
It stopped.
Like they were a ragdoll, Agent felt themself flipped over, so that their back faced the ground below, and their gaze faced an awestruck Hero above. A few feet to their right, Villain floated in a similar position. They quickly righted themself, so that they were practically standing mid-air.
“Oh, you’re going to kill me, now?” Villain raised a brow. Agent kicked, or did their best to, at least, but found their limbs held firmly in place by some invisible force.
Hero blinked a few times, as if they had yet to register what had just happened. Like a dog putting its tail between its legs, their tendrils bunched together, pulled against their back.
“You are so fucking stupid.” Hero finally spoke, locking eyes with Agent.
“Hey, hey, my eyes are over here.” Villain pointed to themself. “Though, I agree, your friend here is pretty stupid.”
“They’re not a friend.” Hero bared their teeth. “Come back up here, and fight me, you fucking coward.”
“Not a coward. Just working with what I have. And right now I have, hmm...”
Agent felt a shiver run up their spine.
“Well, I have your friend, here. And I have a whole factory’s worth of tools...”
Agent struggled to turn, but could only listen as clanging sounded from below them. Something, multiple somethings, brushed against their back. Some were rather dull, rounded, while at least one felt to be the edge of a blade.
“And, right about now, I’m the only thing standing between your friend, here, and the inconstestable force of gravity.”
“Do it.” Hero snapped, one hand gripping the rail until their knuckles turned white.
“Drop them."

[ENGLISH] I think that if anything happens it’ll be on Spanish server for sure, but this is a situation that could happen even if it’s not related to this problem, so I’ll use this to talk about it.
I don’t know if you all remember the problem with the pedo Facebook page using mcl’s Easter event illus. Well, apparently the person behind this page has threatened to harass the fandom’s girls as revenge for achieving closing their page.
This person sent two anonymous confessions on the Facebook page Confesiones de Beemoov (I won’t link it in case it makes the post disappear, although I suspect it’ll disappear anyway, but I’ll leave screenshots), and they decided to make it public to let people be careful just in case, since this will probably end up being just empty threats.
Most of us here are adults, so there’s a probability of we all knowing how to deal with this kind of situations, but there are minors in the fandom, and there could always be people who may panic on this kind of situation, even as adults.
Be careful with people you add on Facebook or any social media in general, and if you ever go through a situation like this, even if it’s not this person, don’t doubt on asking for help. Personally, I’m always willing to help anybody who needs it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

No sé si recuerdan que hace un tiempo hubo un drama con una página de pedofilia que usaba las imágenes del evento de pascua de CdM, bueno, al parecer la persona dueña de esa página amenazó con acosar a las niñas del fandom por haber conseguido que le cerraran la página.
Esta persona mandó dos confesiones anónimas a la página de Confesiones de Beemoov en Facebook (no pondré el link para que no desaparezca el post, aunque sospecho que desaparecerá de igual forma, pero dejo capturas), y ellos decidieron hacer pública la situación para alertar por si las dudas, ya que es lo más probable que estas terminen siendo solo amenazas vacías.
La mayoría acá somos adultos, así que es probable que todos sepamos lidiar con una situación así, pero sé que también hay menores en el fandom, y siempre hay quien pueda verse sobrepasado por una situación así, incluso siendo adulto.
Tengan cuidado con quien acepten en Facebook o cualquier red social, y si llegasen a pasar por una situación así, aunque no sea por esta persona, no duden en pedir ayuda, personalmente siempre estoy dispuesta a ayudar a quien lo necesite, y seguro no soy la única.

Dallon Weekes para Upset Magazine
"Durante toda mi vida, me han dicho que todo lo que quería era imposible, pero aquí estamos."
La mayor esperanza de Dallon Weekes para iDKHOW era presentar gustos como Marc Bolan, David Bowie y The Cure a una nueva generación. "Si nosotros no podemos ser tu cosa favorita, entonces tal vez ellos puedan serlo", dice, haciendo zoom desde su estudio casero. Un hombre sin miedo a llevar sus influencias en la manga, cree que la música es mejor cuando es una actividad comunitaria. "Disfruto mucho más de mis cosas favoritas cuando puedo compartirlas con la gente. Eso es lo que esta banda es para mí."
Pero su álbum debut 'Razzmatazz' es mucho más impactante que abrir una puerta a los grandes de antaño. Olvida la nostalgia, este es un disco sobre la adversidad, los sueños de la infancia y el rechazo a aceptar un no por respuesta. Lleno de metáforas sobre el aislamiento, "este disco trata sobre la frustración y la ira que puede surgir al no poder conectar con otras personas".
El álbum de debut de iDKHOW fue originalmente grabado hace años, pero después de una gran cantidad de publicidad de los primeros sencillos 'Modern Day Cain', 'Do It All The Time' y 'Choke', la banda salió a la carretera para tratar de mantener la demanda. Por primera vez en casi una década, Dallon estaba apostando por sí mismo. "No había objetivos cuando empezamos con iDKHOW. No había otro propósito que divertirse."
Para asegurarse de tener espacio para tocar, durante el primer año de iDKHOW, la banda hizo shows secretos, y Dallon y Ryan negaron su participación. "Sabíamos que al final tendríamos que admitir lo que estábamos haciendo, y tan pronto como lo hiciéramos habría esta afluencia de gente que vendría [por las bandas en las que habíamos estado anteriormente]. "Eso fue sólo una pequeña cosa para separar estar en el escenario con Panic! versus estar en el escenario para mí mismo." Y en el estudio, si una canción empieza a resultar demasiado familiar, frenan y la llevan en otra dirección.
"Intentamos hacer todo lo que podemos para mantener estos mundos separados", dice Dallon, antes de admitir que es difícil de hacer "cuando has hecho tanto creativamente para otra banda porque tus huellas están todavía en ella".
No es sólo la sombra de sus antiguas bandas Dallon y Ryan (que una vez tocó la batería con los rockeros emo, Falling In Reverse) que tratan de superar, sin embargo. Como dos piezas, todo el mundo está esperando para comparar iDKHOW con Twenty One Pilots, Royal Blood o Death From Above. Por eso, "intentamos activamente evitar cualquier similitud, ya sea sonora, visual o estética en cualquier cosa que hagamos. Tratamos de mantenerlo tan único como podamos".
Además de darles espacio de sus trabajos diarios, esos shows secretos también permiten a iDKHOW averiguar qué demonios estaban haciendo. "Hacía tanto tiempo que no estaba en el centro del escenario ni era el centro de atención que ya había olvidado esa parte de mí", dice Dallon.
Le llevó un año de actuar en secreto y toda su 'obra ampliada de 1981' para que "encontrara mi propia voz como escritor". Seguro, el mismo glam-rock teatral se puede encontrar a través de 'Razzmatazz', pero él "todavía estaba con la mentalidad de escribir para otros artistas".

"No crecí con dinero, y hasta aproximadamente el 2014, seguía teniendo trabajos regulares mientras estaba de gira en una banda. Vengo de un lugar del que la mayoría de la gente viene".
Razzmatazz' aprovecha la furia y la frustración que viene de lo injusto que es todo el sistema. "La gente se conecta con ideas como esa porque mucha gente de la clase trabajadora tiene grandes sueños, pero no tienen la oportunidad de perseguirlos. Muchas veces es por dinero, o porque no conoces a las personas adecuadas o porque la suerte nunca les acompaña".
"Es extraño pensar que ahí fuera, en medio de la nada, algún chico con una guitarra está escribiendo la mejor música que nadie va a escuchar nunca, sólo porque no conocen a la gente adecuada o mamá y papá no tienen suficiente dinero para enviarlos aquí. Es una lástima que a veces caiga un rayo sobre la gente que lo da por sentado."
Dallon lo ha visto de primera mano. "Eso es realmente exasperante para mí. Hay gente que trata las oportunidades que tienen como un juguete. No respetan la posición en la que están o los fans que tienen. Piensan que están donde están por su talento. Es maravilloso tener talento, no hablo por mí, soy bajista, pero tu talento tiene muy poco que ver con la posición en la que estás". Mucho de ello se debe a los privilegios.
Pero iDKHOW todavía quiere divertirse. Tienes que hacerlo con un nombre como I Don't Know How But They Found Me, un título que captura ese modus operandi inicial secreto, pero ahora es uno del que Dallon se arrepiente un poco. "Un buen nombre de banda es Led Zeppelin, pero la mayoría de los nombres de bandas son terribles. Los Beatles, la mejor banda de todos los tiempos, tienen un juego de palabras para un nombre. Sólo tienes que aceptar el hecho de que los nombres de las bandas son ridículos y no les importa."
El mundo puede saber sus verdaderos nombres pero la banda ha cambiado ese misterio por otro. En "1981", había un concepto poco claro de que iDKHOW era una banda de hace 40 años que nunca tuvo ese momento de importancia cultural que esperaban.
"Nunca queremos tener que hacer exactamente lo mismo dos veces, sin embargo. Así que en lugar de continuar con esa historia, decidimos torcer un poco la narrativa en 'Razzmatazz' y empezar a introducir esta pseudo corporación gubernamental [la Corporación Telex] que es una metáfora de la industria musical."
Inspirado por las narraciones de David Bowie en "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars" y en "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", la historia ficticia de "Razzmatazz" es importante, pero es secundaria para hacer el disco real. "Quiero que la música siempre sea capaz de mantenerse por sí misma. Esa historia es sólo otra capa de entretenimiento para cualquiera que se atreva a sumergirse en ella. Y si no lo haces, entonces está totalmente bien." También sirve como una armadura para Dallon.
"Estoy cantando sobre cosas que son muy reales para mí, pero presentarlas en una narración ficticia ayuda a protegerme. También me ayuda a decir lo que quiero decir sin ser explícito." En el mundo de los dibujos animados de 'Razzmatazz', "puedes decir lo que quieras decir".
A pesar de la nostalgia que iDKHOW esconde, sampleando programas de televisión de los 50 y con un amor por todas las cosas del goth-pop de los 80, son una banda muy moderna. Hablan en Twitter sobre la identidad, se inspiran en Muse o St. Vincent y se niegan a jugar con la idea de ser estrellas de rock, a pesar de su sentido de la moda.
"Hay muy pocas cosas que odio tanto como el viejo cliché del sexo, las drogas y el rock'n'roll. Esa filosofía de 'haz lo que quieras' es una forma de vida de mierda, porque no tiene en cuenta a los demás"
Aunque la letra no habla de ello explícitamente, 'Razzmatazz' ampara por el ser disponibles emocionalmente tanto como es posible. "Crecí en una época en la que si tenías sentimientos, los guardabas bajo llave, no hablabas de ellos y nunca, nunca llorabas. En vez de eso, te ataste a un par y te hiciste hombre. Eso es tan increíblemente insalubre. Aprendí sobre el término masculinidad tóxica hace unos años, pero me ayudó a crecer como persona y como artista. Está bien estar triste, enojado y mostrar emoción. Yo llamaría a esto un registro positivo sólo porque he sido capaz de escribir sin restricciones y sin nada que gobierne mis ideas."
Puede que no quiera ser una estrella de rock y sólo sea el líder de iDKHOW por necesidad, más que por sed de fama, pero Dallon siente la responsabilidad de usar su plataforma para decir algo a sus fans. Después de todo, está en deuda con ellos.
"Cuando se trata de música, los jóvenes van a ser la mayoría del público. No me considero un modelo a seguir porque ciertamente he cometido errores, he metido la pata y he hecho cosas de las que no me siento orgulloso, pero es gracias a esos jóvenes, a esos fans de Twitter, que me han permitido aprender y tratar de mejorar."
"En los últimos cinco años, he aprendido cosas como el habla, el pensamiento y el lenguaje problemáticos. Estoy increíblemente agradecido por ellos porque a lo largo de mi vida, me han hecho sentir como si fuera menos que, y nunca quiero hacer que nadie se sienta así. "Si hay ignorancia en mi vida, quiero señalarla para poder cambiarla. Siento que si hay alguna experiencia que mi vejez pueda proporcionarles, quiero intentar devolverles el favor. El sentimiento de responsabilidad viene de este intercambio que he tenido con los fans. Me han ayudado mucho, y si hay alguna manera de ayudarlos, ya sea a través de la música, o a través de algún tipo de interacción, quiero hacerlo. Siento que es parte del trabajo".
De otro mundo y dispuestos a robarte el corazón con el caos de carnaval de 'Razzmatazz', iDKHOW son una banda que ha tenido que trabajar por lo que tiene. Nunca han tomado el camino más fácil, incluso cuando se les ha ofrecido, porque significaría sacrificar un pequeño rincón de su mundo y ese es un precio que nunca vale la pena pagar.
En cambio, la banda es libre de hacer lo que quiera, pero nunca a expensas de nadie más. "Es importante recordar que cada uno de nosotros que tiene una voz - ya sea grande y para los estadios, o si estás hablando con un club lleno de dos docenas de personas - es increíblemente afortunado de estar en esa posición", considera Dallon. "Y espero que nunca jamás lo olvide".

I'm blocked on Twitter for some reason (but I'm alive)
Sorry, everyone, I spent a few weeks missing. Those on Discord probably already knew but my twitter account got blocked due to log in on other devices (and can't recover it because of reasons) plus I've been busy with work, family and other summer things. I’m trying to contact Twitter to see if I can get it back but they are not helping much. This doesn't mean there hasn't been any progress, quite the opposite. I'll do an update.
This week I've been mostly taking care of parameters and there's usually not much to say when I work on it, but I thought that maybe some people would be interested in an in detail entry about it.
Lotus Reverie has decisions, many in fact. To keep track of your relationships with other characters, your training and study levels, and even it keeps track of time. Since you are free to play the game in any order and go from one scene to another, many little details change depending on what you did or selected before. Some scenes will display different characters for example, and I even have a couple of scenes that fully change depending on a few factors.
To make my job easier and for future testing, I've prepared also a quick dev menu and some cheats so I can test everything quickly. This way I can go through the same scene with many variances of parameters to see how it looks.
For this also I have a special unity tab with a full list of parameters that allows me to change them on the go.
This is usually how my workstation looks. As you can see, next to the game I have this long list of parameters. I made sure to take the screenshot only showing parameters that do not reveal anything, but that part is just a small fraction of the whole!
Here's how the look on Excel, where I have it more organized so I don't go crazy.
The game automatically imports them from Excel into the game so it's a huge time saver for me and I can always edit or add new parameters as I see fit.
For more complex parameters I create special tables in Excel, here's, for example, a small fragment of how the table for the scenes looks.
The first column is to create an array of the scenes needed to display them later in the game, the second is a unique ID so it can be translated, the third it to organize it into Main Scenes, Secondary Events or Exploration, then the next string is the label name of the scene in Excel so it can jump to it. The final set of columns is to decide if the scene is active if the scene needs a special indication for it being important, or what characters are involved. There are many things in there!
This week I've been mostly making sure that all scenes get unlocked properly when needed, that no parameter is broken, and that nothing is missing! It's quite the boring job since I've just been checking them one by one and placing them in the game at the moments are needed. Some scenes require some complex parameters so it can get confusing at times.
For translation, I have another tab in the very same Excel that looks like this.
The first column is composed by the word Event + the unique ID from the previous table and that way I can know what it is about quickly. From there on the columns include the translations to all the different languages. This makes it easier to add more languages or do changes to the translation or the names for the scenes.
I guess this is not that interesting but I wanted to keep you guys updated on what is going on, deving is not always fun but can't be helped. See you next week.

Hola y siento la falta de actualizaciones estas últimas semanas. En Discord probablemente ya lo sabíais pero mi cuenta de twitter ha estado bloqueada por intentar logear desde otro dispositivo (y no puedo recuperar la cuenta ahora mismo por motivos) además de que he estado ocupado con trabajo, familia y otras cosas veraniegas. Estoy intentando contactar con twitter a ver si me lo arreglan pero no ayudan mucho, ya os contaré. Eso no significa que no haya habido progreso, al contrario. Vamos con la actualización.
Esta semana he estado ocupándome principalmente de parámetros y generalmente no hay mucho que decir cuando trabajo en los mismos, aunque he pensado que igual hay gente a la que le interesa una entrada al detalle sobre los mismos.
Lotus Reverie tiene decisiones, muchas de hecho. Para mantener el control de las relaciones con otros personajes, tus niveles de estudio y entrenamiento, incluso para controlar el tiempo. Como eres libre de jugar el juego en el orden que quieras e ir de una escena a otra, hay muchos detalles que cambian según la escenas y decisiones que hayas hecho antes. Algunas escenas mostrarán a personajes distintos por ejemplo, y hay un par escenas de hecho que cambian completamentesegún unos cuantos factores.
Para hacer mi trabajo más fácil y para el testeo en el futuro he preparado también un menú de desarrollo y algunos trucos para que se pueda acceder a todo rápido. De esta manera puedo ver la misma escena con cualquier variedad de parámetros y ver cómo queda.
Para esto también tengo una pestaña en Unity pensada exclusivamente para los parámetros que me permite cambiarlos sobre la marcha en cualquier momento.
Este es el aspecto habitual de mi espacio de trabajo. Como se puede ver, junto al juego tengo esta larga lista de parámetros. Me he asegurado que he sacado una captura en la que los parámetros no muestran nada, pero quiero que os fijéis cómo esa lista no es nada más que una pequeña fracción del total.
Aquí tengo otra captura de cómo se ven en Excel, donde los tengo más organizados para no volverme loco.
El juego los importa automáticamente de Excel al juego así que me ahorro un montón de tiempo ya que puedo editar o añadir nuevos parámetros con facilidad.
Para algunos que son más complejos puedo crear tablas en Excel, aquí tengo un pequeño fragmento del aspecto que tiene la tabla de los eventos.
La primera columna crea una lista de las escenas necesaria para luego enseñarlas en el juego, la segunda en una identificación única para su traducción, la tercera la organiza según eventos principales, secundarios o de exploración, y la siguiente es el nombre del escenario en Excel para que pueda saltar al mismo. A partir de ahí las columnas están para indicar si la escena está activa, si requiere algún aviso especial de importancia, y qué personajes están relacionados con la misma. ¡Son un montón de cosas!
Lo que he estado haciendo esta semana es asegurándome que todas las escenas se desbloquean de forma apropiada cuando lo necesitan, que ningún parámetro está roto, o que no falta nada. Es un trabajo un tanto aburrido ya que hay que verlos de uno en uno e ir colocándolos en las partes necesarias del juego. Algunas escenas requieren algunos parámetros más complejos y llega a ser bastante confuso a veces.
Respecto a la traducción tengo otra pestaña en el mismo Excel que tiene este aspecto.
La primera columna está compuesta por la palabra Event + la identificación única de la tabla anterior. De esta manera puedo saber qué es rápidamente y diferenciarlo de otras líneas parecidas. De ahí en adelante las columnas incluyen las traducciones a los diferentes idiomas. Esto ayuda mucho a hacer a la hora de poder añadir nuevos idiomas, hacer cambios o cambiar los nombres de las escenas.
Supongo que esto no es tan interesante pero quería manteneros informados sobre lo que estoy trabajando. El desarrollo no es siempre divertido pero qué remedio. Hasta la próxima.

Some days .. things don't go as originally planned but in the end it all works out. I might have a few seconds of 🤬🤪🤬🤪🤬 but if one plan blows up, I switch gears and hit plan #2. There is very little that we do that is actually set in stone .. being flexible on some things is so much easier. I drove up to Trail Hub this morning to ride my usual trails. After getting all my winter gear on and pulling the bike out, I realized I had left my gloves at home 🤬🤪🤬🤪🤬🤪🤬🤬🤬 It was waaaay too cold 🥶 to attempt riding without gloves .. so I loaded my bike and drove back home. Instead of focusing on my gloves, I made a new plan. At first, I was going to drive back to Trail Hub. But there are some real idiots on the road ... Sunday Drivers, you know who you are .. stay home! Then I thought I would give Greenwood a go .. I haven't ridden there in years on my mountain bike (gravel bike, yes, but that's different 🙃🙃). So off I went to Ajax, with my gloves, and spent 2 hours noodling around Greenwood in the snow and cold. And it was awesome! I found some trails I had never ridden .. some that dead-ended where I used to ride .. some that have overgrown from lack of riding .. and then found some more new stuff. I forgot just how good Greenwood can be .. in the right conditions. Off course, there had to be some off-leash dog walkers there but I'll email the Town about them. Pariahs of trails 🤬🤬🤬 It was great riding on the snow for the first time this season. Great traction and smooth trails. The wind was INSANE! The Beast King’s Daughter
“Hanyō no Yashahime” depicts the battle of three princesses who carry the blood of a demon king. In ‘The Second Chapter’ which broadcasts in October, the one who holds the key to the story is another princess who makes a new appearance.
With overwhelming strength, Sesshōmaru and Inuyasha’s father, the Dog General, was known as “The Beast King of the Western Lands”. The three (girls) Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha inherited the said beast king’s blood.
Despite being inexperienced, Towa and the others have constantly grown in battle. In episode 24 of ‘The First Chapter’, an evenly matched battle unfolds between Towa and Moroha, enraged by Setsuna’s death, and “The Beast King of the Eastern Lands”, Kirinmaru, who is equal to the Dog General. Though Kirinmaru was injured, he successfully landed a single stroke.
Starting from ‘The Second Chapter’, another daughter of a beast king appears before Towa and the others. Her name is Rion. Surprisingly, it is said that Kirinmaru also had a daughter. Rion is an existence who for 600 years has been sealed in Mt. Musubi, which is said to be where the Dream Butterfly is. Exactly who sealed her and for what purpose? Just like Towa and the others, within her is likely an inherited strength of a beast king but her powers are unknown.
There are still many mysteries surrounding Kirinmaru’s daughter, Rion. While it is not yet known whether she is an enemy or an ally to Towa and the others, if she is willing to lend her strength, she will likely become a reliable existence to them as they shoulder many difficulties.
Character Bios
Rion Kirinmaru’s daughter who has been sealed within the barrier of Mt. Musubi for 600 years. It seems her meeting with Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha will move destiny but… …?
The Dream Butterfly The butterfly of the dream world. A spirit. It is said that when they appear in the real world, they devour people’s dreams and those who have been devoured become unable to sleep or dream entirely.
Higurashi Towa Sesshōmaru and Rin’s daughter. She fights with Kikujyūmonji, a demon sword with a blade created from demonic power. The attack she unleashed when she became enraged from Setsuna’s death took on the shape of two blue dragons.
Setsuna Sesshōmaru and Rin’s daughter. In episode 24 of ‘The First Chapter’, despite wounding Kirinmaru during their battle, the tables turned on her and she lost her life.
Moroha Inuyasha and Kagome’s daughter. When she puts on rouge, she goes on a rampage that ends quickly but when Setsuna lost her life, she managed to fight without losing her composure.
Kirinmaru The Beast King of the Eastern Lands. It appears he spares some leeway with the Yashahimes such as naming Towa’s technique ‘Twin-Headed Azure Dragon Wave’, but?
The Parent Needs to Pull It Together More!
Kirinmaru has considerably complicated child rearing. In contrast to that, Rion is a girl with a straightforward upbringing. I can’t say the specifics yet but when I see parent and child, as a father of a daughter in her 10s myself, I think “The parent has to pull it together more” and I also get a sense of “I guess even if the parent complicates things, kids will grow up on their own.” By the way, Fujita Saki plays the role of Rion. She also took on the role of the mean heroine in my previous work “Fairy Ranmaru~ Anata no Kokoro Otasuke Shimasu~”. Just when I thought I finally defeated her in “F Ran” (Shortened name of said previous work), I meet her again in “Hanyō no Yashahime”… … I felt a mysterious fate (laughs).

I Felt Destiny from the Lives of Towa and Co. Director Hishida Masakazu
Synchronizing With His Own Life?! Empathy Towards Towa’s Situation
— In the previous issue’s interview, Director Hishida, you said that you felt that “it was fate that I should accept” the offer for this current work which was memorable.
Hishida: I worked at Sunrise’s Studio #1 for a long time, but I started to do work for Tatsunoko Production in 2008. From there, I mostly worked at Tatsunoko but now Sunrise has called me back for the first time in 13 years. Just as I’m wondering what sort of work it’s going to be, they tell me it’s a work that carries on the world of “Inuyasha”, (the work) that taught me the foundation of production. Not to mention, the protagonist, Towa, is a girl who was flung from the feudal world where she was born and raised, to the modern era, and then returns to the feudal (era) again after 10 years. I felt Towa’s situation synchronized with mine and all I could think was that this was fate.
I’m about the same age as the director of ‘The First Chapter’, Teruo-san (Director Satō Teruo), and our careers are just about the same too. Teruo-san worked at Studio 1 for the longest time while I on the other hand, got thrown outside and came back… … I thought that aspect felt similar to Towa and Setsuna’s life (laughs). That’s why watching Towa and Setsuna’s relationship in “The First Chapter” was very tough. Like, they were such close sisters so why doesn’t she remember… …
— To change it to your position Director Hishida, it’s like “You returned to Sunrise for the first time in a while but the people you used to get along with have forgotten about you” kind of a situation.
Hishida: It’s exactly that! The current staff of Sunrise’s Studio 1 don’t know me, and they don’t thank me (laughs). You see, I was the one who revived the steppingstone for the “becoming a producer by being a production assistant” route that came to an end at Studio 1! There weren’t many before me but afterwards, there were a lot of people that took that route and flew the nest like Fujita Yōichi-kun, Watada Shinya-kun, and Kyōgoku Takahiko-kun! No one is really grateful so Fujita-kun and Kyōgoku-kun would always say to me “I should’ve crushed you back then!” (laughs). As I watched Setsuna not remembering Towa, I ended up remembering that.
— You seem to have an unusual attachment to Towa and Setsuna’s relationship (laughs). Well then, what sort of impression do you have of Moroha and Sesshōmaru?
Hishida: Moroha has a brilliance to her. It’s amusing that she inherited Inuyasha’s mischievous side, and she’s got a similar silhouette to Inuyasha as well, so I feel that she is a real eye-catching character. When Towa and Setsuna take center, the story becomes heavy no matter what, so it’s fun to watch Moroha soften the place up.
Then, regarding Sesshōmaru in this current work, I felt “He’s a father”. I bet in his own way, as a father, he wonders how to interact with his daughters. Even while carrying out a strict “trial of courage and cowardice”, he still concerns himself with his daughters which I feel is a little human like. I’m also a father of two girls so I can relate to him somewhat. In the last (scene) of “The First Chapter”, he purposefully hands over a broken Tenseiga to Towa but he wouldn’t do that if he didn’t care about them. He just gives a pass like “Do something about it with this” and I think that is also (a form of) training in a sense.
Also, drawing wise, the pattern of Sesshōmaru’s kimono is still brutal (laughs). “Inuyasha” was an analog cel anime back then so (drawing) that pattern was even more difficult. At the time, the suggestion “Let’s omit the pattern on Sesshōmaru’s kimono” was made but Director Ikeda Masashi opposed it. I didn’t understand why Director Ikeda was so fixated on that pattern back then but thinking about it now, I think it was the right call. Since it could be said that Sesshōmaru’s existence is one of two wheels in the work that is “Inuyasha”, he probably didn’t want to make him plain wherever possible.
The First Attempt At ‘The Second Chapter’ Storyboard Was Like A “Trial of Courage and Cowardice”
— Next, please tell us about Kirinmaru’s side. In ‘The First Chapter’, many of their actions were puzzling so by all means, any hints to their activity in ‘The Second Chapter’!
Hishida: At first, I couldn’t quite understand Kirinmaru, but once I heard he was a father with a daughter, I understood. While he is a person who’s thinking “I want to surpass the Dog General”, his feelings of admiration towards that man and wanting to show his strong side to his daughter are feelings that I completely understand now. Kirinmaru has had many mysterious aspects up until this point, but I’d like to depict his emotions in ‘The Second Chapter’.
Just like her younger brother, Kirinmaru, Zero has also become obsessed with the Dog General. In any case, she lives on her “love”. Zero’s womanly heart is a little complicated, but I also feel that seeing her persist with her earnest feelings for the Dog General is cool.
Also, I think the parts of Riku, who’s neutral towards Towa and the others, that were difficult to see up to this point will become clear in ‘The Second Chapter’. How he feels about Towa will be brought to the forefront, so I told Fukuyama Jun-kun who plays him, “In ‘The Second Chapter’ please go with a slightly handsome boy feeling route” (laughs). By the way, Fukuyama-kun was the one who played the main character in my director debut work “Onmyō Taisenki”. The name of the role (character) was ‘Riku’. ‘The Second Chapter’ is a story about the ‘fate’ that connects people together, and I also felt a mysterious fate from that.
— What did you think of production for episode 25 (episode 1 of ‘The Second Chapter’) which continues from the shocking last scene of Setsuna’s death in ‘The First Chapter’?
Hishida: It was such shocking last scene that I was overcome with the feeling of “Why are you passing the baton to me at such a difficult spot!?”! I truly thought this was a ‘trial of courage and cowardice’ (laughs). I did the storyboard for episode 25 myself, but coming into the work midway, it took me some time to understand the story, so I really struggled. Until now, the record holder for storyboard that took me the longest was episode 13 of “Gundam Reconguista in G” with 2 months. However, this time, it took me 3 months.
— To say that it easily overtook that “G Recon” (shortened form of “Gundam Reconguista in G”) that you struggled so much with (laughs).
Hishida: Yes. My worst record was brilliantly made new! However, on the reverse side, I thought with ‘The First Chapter’ ending like this, there’s no doubt you’d want to see the continuation. In that sense, they passed the baton in the best way so I should meet up to that (expectation). It was tough but I put my all into it!
— ‘The Second Chapter’ is loaded with things to be curious about aside from what will happen to Setsuna like Rin who’s sleeping within the Tree of Ages and Inuyasha and Kagome who’ve been trapped within the black pearl.
Hishida: I can’t talk in detail about that yet but I will say “There’s no way it would end like this!”. I would certainly like for everyone to look forward to October.
In the new key visual for ‘The Second Chapter’ that is overflowing with lively motion, the three princesses show gallant expressions with weapons in hand. What exactly is beyond Towa’s reaching hand… …? Also, when will we get to see ‘Sesshōmaru & Rin’ and ‘Inuyasha & Kagome’ standing side-by-side together as shown in this picture?

Back to oils!
A few days ago the second volume of Mistborn "The well of ascension" edition Leather-bound went on sale.Hard with gold letters, with exclusive fan art galleries for this edition.
Hace unos días salió a la venta el segundo tomo de Mistborn “The well of ascension” edición Leather-bound. Un tapa dura forrado en cuero y dorado, con galerías de fan art exclusivo del libro.
I don't know for how long you follow me, but here's a bit of history.Last year, when I came across the books of Brandon Sanderson, I had a few months that every free minute I had was dedicated to drawing pictures of their stories.It is nowadays, one of my favorite writers, and almost everything he writes, I try to devour almost immediately. His writing style and the ideas he shapes are the kind of stories that I enjoy the most, and that one day I would love to transmit with mine. Last inktober I made around 30 drawings based only on his work. And when he was here in Barcelona, I was able to give him one of those drawings. In May I was contacted by the art director of Dragonsteel production (Brandon's company) and illustrator of much of the graphic material that appears in the books, to discuss the possibility of licensing some of these drawings for use in the art gallery of the editions for collectors.
No sé por cuanto tiempo me seguís la mayoría, pero aquí va un poco de historia. El año pasado, cuando me encontré con los libros de Brandon Sanderson, tuve unos meses que cada minuto libre que tenía lo dedicaba a hacer dibujos de sus historias. Es hoy en día, uno de mis escritores preferidos, y casi todo lo que escribe, lo intento devorar casi inmediatamente. Su estilo de escritura y las ideas que plasma es el tipo de historias que mas disfruto, y que algún día me encantaría lograr trasmitir con las mías. El inktober pasado hice alrededor de 30 dibujos solamente basados en su obra. Y cuando estuvo por aquí por Barcelona, pude regalarle uno de esos dibujos. En el mes de mayo me contactó el art director de Dragonsteel production (Brandon’s company) e ilustrador de gran parte del material gráfico que aparecen en los libros, para hablar de la posibilidad de licenciar algunos de esos dibujos para usarlos en la galería de arte de las ediciones de coleccionistas que producen de sus libros.
Ya la simple idea de que mi trabajo apareciera en un de sus libros me dejaba sin palabras, así que imaginen mi reacción cuando la plática evolucionó de licenciar a comisionar una pieza nueva para el tomo 2 de Mistborn… Llevaba tiempo intentando dedicarle un espacio para pintar algo relacionado a estos magníficos libros que tantos buenos momentos me han dejado. Pero el trabajo en esos meses era bastante constante en no dejarme ningún segundo libre. Así que una comisión para hacerlo era un sueño hecho realidad. Me puse de inmediato a la tarea. Y empecé a trabajar en los bocetos. En el segundo libro de Mistborn, hay muchas escenas brutales que quería ilustrar, pero solo tenía espacio para una ilustración, y teniendo en cuenta que muchos otros artistas también se ven atraídos por estas historias, es muy probable que las primeras ideas ya estuvieran flotando por Internet. No por ser lo mas original del mundo, sino por la forma en que me cautivó, me quise enfocar sobre todo en los lazos que se crean entre Vin y el Kandra “OreSeur”, que toma la forma de un perro negro enorme. La relación de estos dos no empieza muy bien en el libro, pero poco a poco va tomando un rumbo de profunda amistad y respeto por ambas partes.
Por cierto, perdón por la baja calidad de las fotos del proceso, fueron hechas con el móvil sin prestar mucha atención. Algunas tienen una distorsión muy marcada o colores muy alejados de la realidad. El que mas se acerca es la ultima foto del post.
Already, the simple idea that my work would apear in one of his books left me speechless, so imagine my reaction when the talk evolved from licensing to commissioning a new piece for Volume 2 of Mistborn ... I had been trying for quite some time to make some fan art related to these magnificent books that so many good moments have left me. But the work at the time was really constant and left me no room for it. So a commision to do so was a dream come true! I immediately started the task, starting to work on the sketches. In Mistborn's second book, there are many brutal scenes I wanted to illustrate, but I only had space for an illustration, and taking into account that many other artists are also attracted by these stories, it is very likely that the first ideas are already floating around the Internet.Not for being the most original of the world, but for the way I was captivated, I wanted to focus especially on the bonds that are created between Vin and the Kandra "OreSeur", which takes the form of a huge black dog. The relationship of these two does not start very well in the book, but little by little it takes a course of deep friendship and respect on both sides.
By the way, sorry for the low quality of the photos of the process, were made with the phone without paying much attention. Some have a very marked distortion or colors very far from reality. The one that comes closest is the last photo of the post.
My second goal with this job was to continue working with oil paintings. I already had some piece for Magic by the date in that technique (still to come out) and I wanted to continue experimenting with the medium. With this piece I tried the indirect painting method. Certainly more laborious than the others, but the result (and seeing it with eyes now) was completely worth it. I started doing a pencil drawing, to define the design, general values and details well. I do not usually make them as detailed normally, but with this piece I wanted to have control over the details, and not try to design with the painting as in digital, obviously because of the nature of the medium that would come later.
Mi segunda meta con este trabajo, seguir trabajando con óleos. Ya llevaba alguna pieza de Magic por la fecha en esa técnica (aún por salir) y quería seguir experimentando con el medio. Con esta pieza intenté el método de pintura indirecta. Ciertamente mas trabajoso que los demás, pero el resultado (y viéndolo con ojos de ahora) valió completamente la pena. Empecé haciendo un dibujo a lapiz, para definir bien el diseño, valores generales y detalles. No suelo hacerlos tan detallados normalmente, pero con esta pieza quería tener control sobre los detalles, y no intentar diseñar con la pintura como en digital, obviamente por la naturaleza del medio que vendría luego.
Indirect painting is worked by layers, the first dedicated to the values and then little by little building the colors on top. La pintura indirecta se trabaja por capas, las primeras dedicadas a los valores y luego poco a poco construyendo los colores encima. La luminosidad que logra esta técnica no tiene rival con otros métodos mas directos. Una pena que no se pueda trasmitir esta sensación a través de fotos, pero si han estado delante de alguna pintura al oleo del siglo pasado sabrán del efecto que hablo. Esa luz que irradia de la superficie, especialmente de las pieles. Estas son algunas de las capturas que fui tomando del proceso. Primero traspansando las lineas mas prominentes del dibujo al panel MDF y a continuación la primera capa de pintura.
Aunque la peor parte de este proceso es la espera, en este caso no me fue tan mal. No soy fan de los secativos y no quería usar en esta pintura, no había mucha prisa y por trabajo, recuerdo que tenía dos pinturas mas para Magic. Luego viene la segunda capa de valores y al secar empezar a introducir algunos colores.

I had the Ipad right next to me to go looking at the references while I was doing and compare the color in real time
Como pueden ver, el perro fue el que mas cambios sufrio durante todo el trayecto. Pero el resultado se acerca bastante al del dibujo a lapiz. A partir de aquí no tuve muchos problemas, solo seguir el plan que tenia desde un principio. Tenía el Ipad justo al lado mío para ir mirando las referencias mientras iba haciendo y comparar el color a tiempo real.
Here is the final painting.I had the chance to frame the painting with this awesome design, can't be more happy about it! Also the pencil drawing. Both for sale in my store in case there is someone interested.
Así quedó la pintura. Tuve la ocasión de enmarcarla y no puedo estar mas contento con la elección del marco, al igual que el dibujo a lápiz. Ambos en venta en mi tienda por si hay alguien interesado.
