Last night I had a dream that I only vaguely remember where someone tried to switch hualian and beefleaf but kept failing because too much of Hua Cheng’s character was him being whipped and they didn’t know how to deal with that. I was entirely useless but did find their approach to making Xie Lian gender-fluid interesting (i don’t remember what they did when doing that).

I was basically just sitting there with a sprite I got from a movie theater that was closing (dream right before this one) and being entirely useless as help (but I was entertained)

Meets Merlin who has been working as a detective somewhere -because that’s basically what he did anyway-solving things and helping people, the family business, and Arthur is dragged in, handcuffed, and plopped in an interrogation room or the drunk tank with the cop who found him saying like This wacko thinks he’s some medieval king, go deal with him, and Merlin scoffs and walks in, promptly dropping his files and spilling his coffee when he sees a disheveled and petulant Arthur, who goes Merlin, finally, get me out of here already, will you and Merlin starts crying lmaooo

or c. Meets Merlin who has been working at an ER because, again, he was physician adjacent, and someone drags a wet Arthur in, like Found this, it looks like he might hypothermiate deal with him, and Merlin sees him, drops his files, spills his coffee, and starts crying hahaha

going insane thinking about the harrow and palamedes friendship. harrow, who has never met another necromancer her age forming a bizarro 3D chess rivalry while pal worries about her safety at every possible turn. harrow, who is up to her eyebrows in paranoia and secrecy, trusting the sixth house with gideon unconscious and hurt, letting them into the ninth house quarters unsupervised. if “i cannot conceive of a universe without you in it” is goth for i love you, “death first to vultures and scavengers” has got to be goth for i love you (platonic). pal’s first reaction when harrow comes into his bubble in the river is to scoop her up in a hug, and at this point she doesn’t remember anything about him because cutting out all her memories of gideon is impossible without cutting out memories of the sixth, but she still makes him a skelehand to inhabit anyway. when harrow’s memories are finally whole, she tells dulcinea she couldn’t face pal knowing that his pen pal girlfriend died on her account, but the next time she “faces” him, palamades’s soul is in someone else’s body and harrow’s body is full of nona’s soul. he spends six months protecting and caring for harrow’s body (and nona obv), believing in the possibility of bringing her back to it the same way cam believed in him. “god, do you know i miss harrow terribly.” and by the time harrow comes back to her body at the very end of ntn, pal is gone forever, fully pauled. the last time harrow and palamades see each other as their complete selves is in canaan house, alive and unlyctored. two of the smartest and loneliest people in the solar system meet each other in the worst of circumstances and spend the rest of the story dancing around each other as fragments of themselves, trying to care about each other in the interim but never fully meeting like they did the first time. a friendship made almost entirely of missing the other person. “do you know i miss harrow terribly.” god. i need to lie down

Anaxa’s character stories all being in mediums that have already been destroyed has me climbing the WALLS. Cerces looking through his memories. A study record that no longer exists. An improvised speech that nobody would have written down. Another fragment of memory that nobody got to see. The complicated bits of his character and explanations for his goals and Why he is the way he is will fade away and he will be remembered largely as a performer and a blasphemer. How will they remember him when so little of him yet remains?

A range of possible additional reasons why Tim Drake has a spleen:

When ZEA Robin!Clone Bruce sacrificed his hand to Bruce as a replacement, he asked if there were any other organ donations he could make to help out: Tim got a spleen out of it.

When Mr Oz/Jor El transported Tim out of the firestorm to imprison him he used a transporter beam that broke Tim down to atoms and built a new Tim in the prison (see the classic ‘do you die when travelling by transporter beam in Star Trek’ argument), as Tim arrived significantly less injured than he appeared while under fire. When Mr Oz set that up to happen, it also incidentally repaired any other long term injuries Tim had (including replacing his missing spleen).

Mister Terrific’s universe jumping machine when Tim went to retrieve Bruce had the side effect of when it shifted Tim into another universe that it made sure the traveller brought back everything he believed was his with him. Bruce’s hand didn’t come back as he knew he’d lost it, but Tim acquired a spleen because he didn’t know he was missing one.

The White Ghost lied to Tim and dunked him in a Pit quickly back in Red Robin to staunch the bleeding. Spleen never lost.

During Dark Nights: Death Metal Tim probably died and when the multiverse reset occurred by the Creators they just remade everyone using their DNA/self image and so Tim came back with a spleen. A bunch of older heroes lost their aches, pains and chronic injuries at the same time.

The Lazarus Rain gave Tim the ability to regenerate his organs. Nobody noticed because it wasn’t a talent people were looking out for and he was already working to avoid Waller and her troops.

Doctor Manhattan forgot about it. Oops, you now have a spleen, Tim.

Getting absolutely BATHED in Lazarus Resin in a possible future had effects that traveled backwards in time to heal earlier injuries for Tim (and look I already have ONE reverse time Lazarus Effects argument, what’s a second?)

During Dark Crisis: Young Justice Mickey Mxyzptlk changed Tim’s body to have a spleen because he wanted them to go back to exactly like they were back in the YJ98 days and he’s a 5th dimensional imp, they can do what they like.
