I’m still so mentally ill over the whole Luffy refusing to eat unless it’s Sanji’s food thing. Like. We KNOW how fucking feral over food Luffy is. He loves food and loves eating so much that he steals it off other people’s plates and out of their hands and is so impatient when it comes to meals that he’ll literally try and sneak into the kitchen to mooch before it’s ready. Or he’ll try to break into the refrigerator. I know Sanji mentioned putting a lock on it at some point bc Luffy literally wiped it clean. He will not hesitate to eat other people’s portions or literally an entire meal meant for a whole ship of people! He’s unbelievably selfish when it comes to food and that’s just SUCH a central part of his character that it’s become almost endearing. Even in Totto Land Luffy didn’t think for a second before devouring everything in sight, including an entire fucking HOUSE, regardless of the consequences or the people it might affect. Homie did not care!! He’s food driven first and foremost!!!

Until Sanji leaves him. Until he decides that eating—something that he loves and brings him comfort—isn’t WORTH it unless it’s Sanji’s food he’s eating. It’s been shown that Luffy has zero self restraint when it comes to food so the fact that he was SURROUNDED by food on all sides on a food themed island and utterly refused to partake in any of that? Even though he hates being hungry and will always make eating a priority over pretty much anything else?? The amount of willpower it must have taken for him to sit there and purposefully let himself starve, for SANJI. Even when food was offered to him conveniently (in the form of syrup rain) he stubbornly rejected that. Because it wasn’t Sanji’s food. Because it wasn’t Sanji who made it, who always puts so much thought and care into the food he makes, who always indulges Luffy and prepares extra because he knows how much Luffy eats and how much he loves to eat. Luffy literally took one of the most defining traits he has and tossed it out the window. For Sanji. I’m going to fucking blow up

Story time.

Tonight we are at a store trying to get a replacement mattress and things are going great at this store, right? Way better than the other stores we’ve looked at and we are vibing with the sales guy and so we decide we’re going to go with it and the guy pulls out his work tablet to start the purchase and I notice something blue hanging off it.

I stop him in the middle of his talking and say “I’m sorry I have to see this.” LOOK WHAT WAS ATTACHED TO HIS TABLET:

I immediately start going “OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!” And go to pull out my phone.

And he’s like “Yeah, I’m a pretty big Sonic fan. I got one for me and two other guys that work here” and he sees me fishing in my bag and he’s like “What’s happening?” And Ryan goes “Ohhh wait for it-“

And I show him what’s hanging off my phone:

And then the two of us just got to geek out.

It was so awesome, a much needed highlight to a pretty cruddy day!

i’m getting so many pro-israel propaganda commercials on my TV back to back and NONE of the coverage about what’s happening to Palestinians and not even the happier moments you’d think they’d try to twist as “Look at HAMAS forcing these HORRIBLE PALESTINIANS to say thank you after INNOCENT ISRAEL HOSTAGES were rescued by israeli troops” or “these kids are smiling and laughing it’s not that bad and all the photos you see of kids torn apart by rubble and missiles are fake”, they’re even using stuff the white house has literally walked back (but because Joe Biden keeps repeating it, that shit basically doesn’t matter to these people) and i’m not surprised in the slightest but damn the difference in what i’d see vs what my parents and grandparents would see is staggering. And the few family members that show me videos of children, covered in wounds and dirt and blood, saying “the jews did this to me” as a sort of “gotcha” on why supporting Palestine is antisemitic honestly blow my mind because you’re really going to focus on how a 6 year old, who lost so much in so little time, is using certain terms? You’re going to police this literal baby’s choice of words when they could die within the hour? You’re not going to focus on the adults who already think this way and already cause so much harm IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY??? You’d rather use a child’s possible last words as evidence that all Palestinians hate Jewish people and should be massacred??? You have NOTHING better to be doing??? Do you seriously only care about Jewish people when you can use them to further mass genocides???

Spoilers for Chapter 3 of Master Detective Archives

What I love most about chapter 3 is show how the Nocturnal Detective Agency don’t abandon their own. When I went into chapter 3, I thought there was going to be the cliché “kicking you out of the group” since Yuma’s involvement in the second case got their base blown. Especially considering the chapter was called No Longer a Detective. I thought it meant Yuma was going to be kicked out of the detective group and literally no longer be a detective.

But no, the gang didn’t give up on him! They were actually searching for him (and Fubuki) this whole time.

They put their lives in danger when they challenged the Peacekeepers once more, the same group that nearly killed them.

And especially when Yomi threatened them and demanded to hand over Yuma for their safety, they refused. Even if Yuma chose to go with them, they held him back. They were willing and ready to possibly lay down their lives for the amnesiac detective that unintentionally gave the Peacekeepers a reason to bully them.

And I love it!

This familygroup don’t abandon their own.

Historic musicals (that aren’t based off of a specifically stated group ie Allegience, Here Lies Love, etc) that explore all female or trans casts (1776 revival) or explore racial diversity (Hamilton and 1776 revival) have my whole heart and should happen more often.

When casting like that is put in place it allows seats at the table that weren’t there during the real events
